going on.

You're enjoying your best life, Yes, ma'am.

Speaker 3 (01:43):
Oh it's amazing us too, us two over here. But
you know, like we were saying, actually when I was
talking to you before we went on air here, it's
been a while since I've seen you. We've seen you
at the Troubadour Nashville, and it was just so much
fun getting the chance to meet you for the first time.

Speaker 4 (01:58):
So, yeah, that was that two years ago, I believe,
so two years ago. It was. Yeah, it was a
good time. Y'all had a good turnout that year. I
believe my buddies with KMM actually won won an award
then they did. Yes, I love that. I love that.
I'm really looking forward to to this year. This is

(02:20):
this is gonna be a lot of fun.

Speaker 3 (02:22):
Oh well, we're so lucky to have you. This is
gonna be so much fun. And it's so funny.

Speaker 4 (02:26):
You know.

Speaker 3 (02:27):
The moment that I announced it, literally every single person
came out the woolworks just so excited. They're like, my boys, yeah, yeah,
which is so cute.

Speaker 1 (02:37):
I love it.

Speaker 3 (02:37):
Everybody's just so excited to have you there. As we are.
Some eves that I want to talk to you about
today that are coming up. We want to talk about
all things thirty fourth annual Keith Whitley Memorial Event, which
will be a full weekend starting on June twenty seventh
through the twenty ninth, which is so exciting. First off,
the lineups were incredible. Let's start there.

Speaker 4 (02:57):
Yeah, the lineup is fantastic. We got some new artists
that have never been on the show before. We've got
one artist or maybe two that have been on the
show before. We've got six acoustic acts. We have an
acoustic act that's going to cover the bluegrass years. It's
gonna be a really it's gonna be it's gonna be

(03:17):
really cool this year. We're we're looking forward to it.
We got a little new flavor to it this year.
And when I say new, I don't mean new country.
I mean new just it's different, atmosphere, different all the
way around. Uh. But the tribute is not changing.

Speaker 3 (03:32):
I love that. I can't wait. I mean that's gonna
be My next question is you know how things are
going to be different from previous years. So there's gonna
be a little extra oomps you would say, yeah.

Speaker 4 (03:40):
There is. We've got a golf tournament this year. We've
changed the venue this year. Uh, And we've only changed
the venue to keep people guessing what we're gonna do,
keep it fresh. We need a little bit bigger spot.
We need, you know, a little bit more convenience for
the riders.

Speaker 3 (03:57):
We don't.

Speaker 4 (03:58):
We love everybody at the Palace, love the Palace, love scoreboards.
Uh right, you know, so they've been They've been great
to us. You know, we're still going to be taking
the ride out there. People will still be going out
there for the Memorial Ride during during the day, a
few days a week that are here for the Memorial Rod,
so we support them. We just had to go to
someplace bigger. We've got new artists that have never played

(04:22):
a show like this that are freaking out. We've got
Ali Colleen Who's going to be there, which is awesome, way,
Jenny's Creed Fisher, myself, west Ship, Eric Leeve, Beddingfield, Darryl Worthy,
Caleb Daughtery, Brian Moffatt, Cayden Wilson, Morgan Spears.

Speaker 3 (04:39):
Anita Cochran perfect perfect.

Speaker 4 (04:41):
Yes.

Speaker 3 (04:41):
I mean you have such great, great people that are
coming for the show and for the tournaments, which is
so exciting. I mean the lineup is what everybody I
think is really just like hyped up about. Uh for sure,
but I have to start from just twenty seventh. It
starts at the Red Roof, and I see compariokenis also
that's that I'm looking forward to. That's that's the bomb

(05:01):
right there.

Speaker 4 (05:02):
Yeah, they're gonna We're gonna have a carry o open
mic nights. My buddy Nick Wallace, he is with Noah
Chucky Smoke. Congratulations to him. He just got the keys
to his first restaurant and he gets to kind of
take his business a step further. So I'm happy for him.
He's doing. He's cooking for a Thursday night and then

(05:25):
Friday we have the golf tournament, and then we have
the boys from Wide Open. They're a motorcycle stuck crew
around here and they come in and they put on
a show for everybody that night on the bikes. And
then we have a Saco Taco food truck and Grill
Works food truck that'll be there that night, and then

(05:45):
Saturday we have the ride. It's just a full blown
event fild weekend. There is a lot of people that
bring their kids to it, but I don't let my
ships come during that event just because you never know.
So yeah, are welcome. We everybody's pretty always pretty.

Speaker 3 (06:05):
Good with the kids, so fabulous, fabulous, y'all can come
you need to. And then of course, you know, June
twenty eighth is the Keith Whitley Celebrity Golf Tournament at
twelve Stones Crossing Golf Club, And like I said, the
lineup of celebrity golfers is insane, but it's also for
some great causes. I've seen Project Canine hero and Plus
three Golfs tell us about that.

Speaker 4 (06:23):
We're actually the donations this year are going to go
to the Keith Whitley estate. They're gonna go to something
to Project Canine Heroes, some to Plus three Golf. And
then my wife and I have a friend that just
got killed in a motorcycle wreck, oh just a last month,
and he leaves behind four kids and a wife. So

(06:46):
we're gonna we're going to take a percentage of that
and we're going to donate it to his family to
want to help them out with you know, their you know,
going from two paychecks to one with four kids and
a tragic lass and then sudden dead. It's just it's crazy.
So we try and we try and do something like
that every year with the ride, whether it's the ride

(07:08):
or the show donates. You know, it's uh, everything goes
to a good cause.

Speaker 3 (07:13):
I love that. That's amazing. And you know that's what
I think a lot of people love about you is
you're you're having a great time, you're enjoying it, and
you're you're all still giving back.

Speaker 4 (07:20):
You know.

Speaker 3 (07:21):
People love those kind of like win win shows that
you can you could also support, you know, great causes.
I mean like Project Canine Hero the stuff that they do.

Speaker 4 (07:28):
You know, they're just wonderful. You know a lot of
people ask, like, you know, well, who does the Keith
Whitley Foundation donate to? What? What do they do? What?
What I like to say is every year we pick
a family that we're close to that may have something
going on, some unexpected something. You know, the foundation fuels

(07:49):
this ride, We fueled the whole event, and then we
also give a lot of money to people and you know, uh,
we've helped a couple of artists who are cancer you know,
unexpected medical bills and things like that. We try and
do nothing, nothing specific, you know, it's just if somebody

(08:09):
needs a hand, we can try and help them out.
And of course it maintains my dad's cemetery. The new
tombstone will be in in like three months. Oh my god.
Oh yeah, it's that's an official thing. So it should
be good. Should be a good year. And you know,
we hope everybody comes out and hangs out with us

(08:31):
and has a good time.

Speaker 3 (08:32):
I'm looking forward to it. We'll be there, JMA will
be there. So I'm really looking forward to it. And
for those out there, the Keith Whitley fans out there,
and of course the Jesse ke Whilly fans out there,
how can they go to purchase tickets to attend any
of the events, because I know also the concert, the
ending concert is that the Patron Events Center. Our tickets
still available to any of these events.

Speaker 4 (08:52):
Yes, tickets are the only thing you need tickets for
is the actual show. Unless you want to play on
the golf in the golf field. Than there, cous you'll
have your bees and stuff like that. But right right, yeah,
you can go to anything on my social media page
and get there. From there, you can go to any
of the artists that are participating with the show, any

(09:14):
of the sponsors, any of the people who have done
anything with it. You can go to their pages and
you can get all the information for the links and everything.
It's all right there.

Speaker 3 (09:24):

you did with Eric's weddingfield. So yeah, tell me about

(09:57):
this song. I mean that music video. It seems like
you guys had too much fun.

Speaker 4 (10:01):
Yeah, we did have too much fun. Yeah. Eric called me.
They were in a writing session. He said, this writing
session is not going well and they weren't getting anything,
and they decided, well, let's change it up, and they
started writing that and they wrote it in like thirty minutes.
He called me said, would you like to be a
part of this? I said, absolutely, I said, I want
the second verse on it. So we shot the video

(10:23):
for it, and it's doing really well right now.

Speaker 3 (10:25):
It really is. It's doing so well. It's it's lit
those songs that get stuck.

Speaker 4 (10:29):
In your head.
