On this episode I spoke with Patty Schoenborn who shared her heartbreaking story of getting lured into a sham marriage with a man she met online. She flew all the way to India from California with hopes of marrying her Punjabi prince on a K-14 visa. What she got instead was a hard lesson on why they say "love is blind". Hindsight is 20/20 though and she doesn't want anyone else to fall for the trap that she did so Patty has decided to bare her soul and share her story with listeners in hopes that they can dodge the bullet that she did not. She wants her story to help as many people as it can from making a tremendous life decision such as marrying someone from another country without the proper education of the culture, talking to others and knowing what to look for that could indicate whether you're being scammed. Humans are a tribal species. We learn from the mistakes and successes of others. Patty's honesty offers many valuable lessons to the person in her shoes with an open mind. Enjoy the show!
