This week our special guest is a friend of the show and also the head football coach of the Eastern Michigan University Eagles, Chris Creighton.

The 2022 season was an excellent one for Chris and EMU - 9-4 record, a road victory over Arizona St, tied Toledo for the MAC West Division title, and a win over San Jose St in the Famous Idaho Potato Bowl. Chris looks back on the season and EMU's first bowl game win since 1987. Coach also gives us a preview of their highly ranked recruiting class and talks of his relationship with retiring defensive coordinator Neal Neathery.

Sinclair's Diamond Sports, which operates the Bally Sports RSNs (and owns the TV rights to the Tigers, Red Wings and Pistons, along with 39 other teams) will soon file for bankruptcy protection.

Sinclair deserves every bit of bile being spewed at them, starting with their godawful app, overpriced stand alone service, and fan unfriendly practices.

Bally Sports shook up their Tigers broadcast team. Jack Morris, aka the old man who yells at clouds and is occasionally racist, will not return in 2023. He'll be replaced by Craig Monroe.

The Tigers farm system was ranked dead last by The Athletic’s Keith Law. In Law's words, "There will be a lot of high draft picks to come. It’s lean times ahead in Detroit, unfortunately.”

Dylan Larkin and the Red Wings are STILL at an impasse when it comes to a new contract. But the Islanders just set the center market when they inked 27-year-old Bo Horvat (with stats very comparable to the 26-year-old Larkin) to an 8-year, $68 million contract.

Is top six forward Jakub Vrana no longer in the Red Wings plans? The Wings aren't saying anything, but all signs point to "a trade or buyout is on the horizon."
