Abrar has always been interested in film-making and decided to pursue it as a career after studying media at university. His films, 'One Day in the Haram' and 'One Night in Al-Aqsa' have won several awards. His new documentary film 'The Balance' provides a unique insight into the rise of the Islamic entertainment industry, from humble and difficult beginnings to the global multi-billion-dollar industry it is today.
In the interview, Abrar talks about the challenges he has faced as a Muslim filmmaker, and how he tries to represent Islam in a positive light. He also shares some advice for aspiring filmmakers.
