Speaker 1 (00:01):
Okay, I'm going to
try to record this in one shot.
This is the final episode ofthe Protectors Podcast.
I'm not going to say it's thefinal final episode.
I think it's more of like ahiatus.
It's going to be on hold for abit.
I've decided to pursuesomething that's going to take
me out of the limelight and takeme out of kind of the podcast
(00:24):
realm for a little while, andwith the Protectors Podcast I
want to be able to focus 100% ofmy effort on that, and with
this new opportunity I won't beable to do that.
So I want to thank you all, theincredible listeners and
supporters of the ProtectorsPodcast.
(00:48):
Reporters of the Protectorspodcast.
I remember starting the podcastusing my phone and some
headphones and people would callin and I'd have like a list of
like 10 questions, 10 or 12questions that I had, and I
would just ask like well, wherewere you born?
It was like so bad, it was bad.
Never listened to those firstepisodes of the Protectors.
Eventually it morphed more intoa conversation, and that's
something I really enjoy doing.
I love talking to people.
(01:10):
The guests have been so diverse.
I mean, I've had everydaypeople, everyday protectors,
everyday heroes, and I've had,you know Herschel Woody Williams
, a Medal of Honor recipient, and I did that in person and I
still get goosebumps thinkingabout that right now.
I've had so many of you on theshow.
(01:31):
I mean there's been 500, what?
38, 539 episodes.
I had so many of you on theshow and I've had so much
support over the years and Ireally I appreciate that so much
.
2019, february of 2019 is when Istarted it and I wanted to have
my own voice, and I wanted tohave my own voice to have
(01:53):
conversations with people, andI'm looking at something right
now that I created with thispodcast and I love it.
I'm going to carry thiswherever I go from now on, and
it's the protector's coin numberone.
Now there's some of these outthere.
I think I had 50 of them made.
Some of you have them, and thisis very special to me because
(02:13):
it reminds me of who I am andwhere I came from.
Every single one of you is aprotector is a protector,
whether you are a father, amother, a son, a daughter.
You're always protecting thoseyou love in some way or the
other A husband, a wife, aboyfriend, a girlfriend, those
(02:37):
that are on the street, thosethat are behind a keyboard being
protectors.
It's hard to sum up what aprotector is.
When I first started thispodcast, a protector to me had
to have some sort of servicebehind them, whether that be
military or police or firstresponder.
They had to be that type ofprotector.
Over the years, I've had a lotof people come up to me and be
(03:00):
like you know, I wish I did this, I wish I did that, I wish I
served.
But a lot of those people Italked to did serve.
They served their community, they served their fellow man and
woman.
They're protectors.
This isn't the end of theprotectors.
I know I shouldn't have saidthat this is the final episode.
(03:22):
It's not.
The protectors will be back Notsure when, but the protectors
will be back.
And this is more of me, justvery, very happy and grateful
for all of your support.
I want you to remember thatevery day, men and women put
(03:48):
their lives on the line for usand I want you to support them.
I want you to support theprotector community and it's not
just putting your life on theline.
There are people out theregiving their all to protect
those around them and justremember that your kindness and
just to be genuine.
Be genuine people.
I know I'm preaching, okay, Idon't want to get upset and I
(04:10):
don't want to get sad.
I'm just being grateful because, for 530 something episodes, so
many of you poured your heartout to me and you've allowed me
to open up completely aboutmyself and I want to thank you
all for the support.
(04:30):
And eventually, when theProtectors comes back, I'd
really love for you to listen tothe new episodes.
But, from all of me, thank youfor supporting the Protectors
podcast since February of 2019.
