this is a conversation, not adissertation. Yeah, no scene by

(01:37):
scene breakdowns here. We jump arounda lot and of course huge spoiler alert
for everything every show in the worldthrough yesterday's episode. So if you're cool
with that, this is the placefor you, and let's jump right on
in episode six finale. What didyou think, Lisa? I liked it?
Mm hmm, I really did. There is a couple of moments in

(01:59):
there I really truly enjoyed. Iwill say at the very beginning, I
was a little confused when you seeI saw the soldier laying on the ground
and they were yelling Dixon, Dixon. I'm like, what is going on?
Like, what's happening? I thoughtthat too for a minute. I'm
like, wait a minute, didI miss something? Yes, well,
then for just a second, Ithought, are we flashing forward? You

(02:23):
know? Yeah? And then youknow, because at this point, you
know, the Jena, I mean, she wants a war and she's got
that whole World War one World Wartwo vibe going on there, and uh
yeah, So for just a second, I thought, did he just get
stuck there forever? You know,I mean, some weird things have happened

(02:50):
on the show, so you know, yeah, my mind was just trying
to go, what's going on?But then you know, we get the
story, you know about his grandpa. Yeah, yeah, so I kind
of did not feel any kind ofway about the addition of the story of
his grandfather. I feel like,I guess, but I know they were

(03:15):
trying to say, you know, repeating, you know, you're continuing on
the bad habits of your father andgrandfather, right like leaving. But I'm
like, this is not his kid. What are we all talking about here?
Like, I understand, Laurent looksup to him a little bit,
He's friendly with the child, helikes him, they like each other.

(03:37):
I get it, But are youtrying to guilt trip him or something like?
It's about that is not his kid? I ask other kids he's responsible
for, and he ain't it.And here's the thing, when whenever they
were talking about, you know, the his grandfather, grandfather going away,
his dad going away, et cetera, et cetera, what I was thinking

(04:00):
was not him staying there for Laurent, but part of his you know,
desire, that push to get backto his family, saying that it was
a mistake for him to come here. It was a mistake for him to
be away. His whole family fellapart because he left and didn't come back
right, And that was his andI think that was his take on it.

(04:23):
I don't want to stay here.I want to go home to my
family. Yeah, he has people, he has kids he's looking out for,
and I think that was kind ofthe that was the reason he was
kind of sharing that story with her, and I think she took it the
other way, but I think hewas trying to tell her, no,
you know, it screwed up mylife when essentially because my grandfather died,

(04:45):
and it screwed up the whole family, which then screwed me up. And
I don't want to have that happento the people that are back home depending
on me, because I want togo home, you know. And I
don't blame him, Like, honestly, I think that we knew that they
would have to find a reason forhim not to go home. But I
don't know if I co sign onthis method. I just kind of feel

(05:11):
like more determined to go home insteadof saying well, and I was really
getting mad at Isabelle. I'm like, let the man go. He did
everything you asked him to do andmore, and he didn't do it because
of that stupid picture or anything else. He did it because Darryl is a
good guy, right, But nowhe wants to go home, right,

(05:35):
And everyone's going, well, youknow, sometimes you know, you find
yourself in a place and he's like, yeah, but this isn't my place,
right, And he kept telling themthis isn't my place. I'm glad
that you feel comfortable here. I'mglad that you're happy here. I'm glad
you have found what you want here, but this is not my home,
right. And I think that's goingto be reinforced next season, obviously,

(05:58):
with now knowing without a doubt thatCarol will be a full time cast person
on this show. It's just gonnaremind him of home. You know he's
not gonna stick around here, maybeone more season to take out Janey,
But I can't imagine that this isjust gonna keep going. In finance,
it's not well I because for theway it sounds, the boats are are

(06:20):
far in between each other. Mmhmmm. So my guess is is he's
gonna say shit and stop back upthere and get Laurent and drag his silly
little butt back to the nest. And if I were him, I would
bitch at him. Oh my god. So look, can I just say?

(06:42):
When I saw him standing on thelittle ledge up there and the walkers
are just grazing walking around, I'mlike, how the hell did he know
where to come on his own?Like he's not that smart. This kid
isn't that good at tracking or anythingelse. How did he know where to
go? Where are the adults?Yes? Where he himself? Right?

(07:05):
Like? This is crazy? Imean, Isabelle should be not much further
behind him unless she's there with him, and we just don't see her.
I don't know now why he gotout there by himself like he is.
They think so highly of what hecan become. I'm sure all he had
to say was we need to bringDarryl back here. Yeah, as he

(07:27):
says, and someone from the nestwould have taken him. It's like it
just sounds so stupid. And thatwhole scene at the end, Daryl's looking
at him and looking at the boatand looking back if he did. Yeah,
that's not a good look. Yeah. I'm like, you see these
little these walkers just around. Imean, they could attack him at any

(07:50):
moment. He had to fight himselfout of there to get down to the
beach. But he's just standing therelooking. I'm like, what is this?
Why wrong with you? Kid?And I feel for Daryl at this
point because I mean, he couldn'thave made it more clear to Laurent,

(08:11):
to Isabelle, to the leader ofthe nest, to everyone he has talked
to, every person along the way. He has said, I need to
get back to my family. Yeah, And I'm upset with all of them
right now because none of them respectedthe fact that he has family that he

(08:31):
wants to get back to, becauseall they're focused on is Laurent and raising
him to glory. Yeah, he'simbued with glorious purpose. Sorry, that's
Loki through your American family. You'rehere now, You're here to help us,
and yeah, well, and theleader of the nest was, you
know, on that walk, wasreally trying to persuade him. You know,

(08:54):
well, sometimes you just find yourselfin a place and it just,
you know, it turns out thatthey need you. And Daryl's like,
I'm sorry, but my family needsme. And the fact that every single
person he encountered throughout the entire episodewas trying to push him to stay,
and he was pushing back just ashard as saying, I am going to

(09:15):
go as soon as I am able. I want to go, right.
The only reason I'm here right nowis because I don't have the way home,
right, you know, It's likeI can't get back, so I
might as well help you, youknow, right, I'm just waiting on
this boat. Yeah, and thenthey did, you know, they they

(09:37):
told him about the boat, aspromised, But then they spent the rest
of the episode trying to convince himto stay and it and I understand why
he didn't wake up Laurent Laurent becausehe didn't want to go through the whole
thing again. Please stay. No, Well, you saw how the kid
reacted last time, right when hewrites having a cow so he let the

(10:01):
boat go. Yeah, he's like, oh my god, I wouldn't want
to wake him up either. I'dleave him a low note by kid.
Yeah, And that's what that Ruby'sCues was, that Ruby's cube was.
That was his goodbye, that washis goodbye note. And and if Lauren
honestly respected Darryl, he would haverespected his need to go back to his

(10:22):
family. Yeah. I agree withyou. And that's why I wish they
had used something else right to tryto pull him back other than the parental
card, right, the guilt tripof abandonment card. Yeah, I don't
think that was right. Now.Yeah, so we get to learn about

(10:43):
his grandfather. That's kind of interestingthat his father was there on D Day.
But it was kind of interesting that, I mean, because they had
him at the very beginning, inthe middle, and at the end.
Yeah, so that was interesting.Although by the way, I'm like,
he's looking at the crosses and I'mlike, there's no way. There are
thousands. Yeah, if you've seenthat a photo from that place, there

(11:07):
are thousands. There's no way.And I said, oh, of course
he finds his grandfather's of course hedoes. I just I don't know like
that kind of stuff. It's it'snot sentimental to me because I think it's
stupid. I'm like, why, there's no way he would have been out
there for hours and hours and probablynever found it. I don't know.

(11:28):
Maybe it was to give him asense of closure. On Friends May the
Runt comes back and and you know, I really like the kid at the
beginning of the show, but themore I've seen him at this point,
I'm just like, I'm irritated withhim. Really, he's just irritated with

(11:50):
him right now? Okay, okay, what does he do to irritate you?
Oh, let's see he follow Darryland to bring him back to be
you know, I mean in thisepisode, you know, the running away,
the I mean, he's escalated throughthe whole thing, letting the boat

(12:11):
go, you know, the differentthings he's done because he doesn't understand like
if he be a certain way thisway, but if he understood what everyone
thinks he is and how much investmentpeople are making into him right because of

(12:33):
what they think he is or canbe. That is so really, why
would you You're risking your life yepby chasing after him and you're not even
taking one precaution by bringing one personwith you, so you don't give a
care. You don't care, likethe reason why I'm irritated with. Yeah,

(12:56):
he just wants what he wants, right, And he's like, yes,
he's a child, but he's notthat much of a child. Like
so, for example, in thisepisode, we saw that he had to
take out his daddy, walk herdaddy, Quinn. We knew, I
knew he was gonna die. Weall kind of knew he was gonna die.
But in that scene, you know, Isabella is holding Quinn's walk herself

(13:22):
off and Darryl hands him the weaponand he's like do it, you know,
help her protect her? Like doyou know? And he's standing there
and then he's like, God willforgive you. And then he takes care
of what he needs to take careof. And then later see it shows
his intellect. Later he's like, well, you have to do things you

(13:45):
don't want to do, right,So it's like you're smart but not quite
smart enough. It's weird he's inthis middle place. Well, some things
are real mature and other things arenot. Intellectually, he's very developed emotionally,
he is very stunted. You know, he doesn't because up until this

(14:07):
point, up until they left themonastery, everything the entire world had revolved
around him. M h. Everyperson that he came in contact with was
in awe of him, and soeverything revolved around him. Kind of like
when he met those kids for thefirst time, he had no idea how

(14:28):
to act or what to say,and they could all tell that he was
just not quite right. Yeah, and you know, so that that was
his first taste of the world notrevolving around him. And then so by
the time we get to the endof the season, he still hasn't quite
figured out that the world doesn't revolvearound him and his wants yeah, and

(14:52):
he wants Daryl to stay. Soas far as he's concerned, Daryl should
stay because adults are supposed to dowhat he wants. And is it end
of story, That's right it?Yeah, So that's why I'm like,
you know, like I said,if I if I was Darryl, I'd

(15:13):
take the kid back. Don't getme wrong, I wouldn't let him die,
right, but it would be amiserable trip all the way back where
I would bere eate this kid nonstop and remind him that I have family.
I have children back home that dependon me, you know. I

(15:33):
have Judith, and I have RJ. And I have you know, and
I have people that I love suchas Carol, you know, and YadA
yah. And I would I wouldbombard him with every person he misses and
why he misses him, and howlong it's been, and him just wanting
to go home. Yea, tobed on him that sometimes you don't get

(15:54):
what you want. True, althoughI think that would be asking a lot
of Darryl's character. He has ahard time even saying if he has been
in love right right. He doeshave trouble articulating thing he does. He
can't really get it together for somereason. In that way, it's very

(16:15):
strange. Well, he's always beenkind of a man of few words.
Yes, and I get it.But man, I don't think Daryl would.
But I'm telling you, if Iwas in his place, that would
be a very long trip back forLaurent, And it would be a miserable
trip back, as I am pressedupon him the stupidity of what he did

(16:37):
and how much it hurt me.Yeah, Well, I mean we're not
too late. That could happen,That could happen. We probably won't see
it, or maybe you we'll hearabout it. I don't know. Yeah,
yeah, And honestly, the waythis character has developed this whole time,
it doesn't really surprise me that itwas him. Isabelle spent what about

(17:00):
ten to fifteen minutes of the showjust trying to get him to acknowledge that
he needs to stay, and himpushing back, you know, and getting
irritated with her by the end ofit, no, I'm going home.
What did you think about those sceneswith him and isabel Like, did you

(17:22):
get any coupling vibes like that theywere going to try to force some kind
of relationship, which I kind ofgot that from her, but not him.
I think, yeah, she wastrying, And I think what it
comes down to is she was tryingto tempt him in the only way she
could think of. Hmmm. See, I don't I you know, I

(17:48):
don't know. His timing was interesting, right, but she couldn't have set
that up. So I do thinkshe likes him, right, and she
wants him to stay. She don'twant him to say, that's clear,
and so she was you know,I think that was I think it was
a moment of opportunity, not nota planned event. But she's still a

(18:15):
nun, she said none late,I know that I don't know. I
think that I wouldn't hate it honestly, but I also might hate it because
outside of like that one relationship wesaw with Darryl, he's never really had
a real relationship, even with whenhe was liking Connie right right, we

(18:37):
never really got an actual honest togod relationship on screen with him. Nobody
but Leah right with her name ye. So, and he seems like,
I mean, no shade to him, right, no shade. Maybe they
just want his character to be thisway, but he seems highly uncomfortable,

(19:00):
highly unable to be in a functioningrelationship so well. Being in a functioning
relationship requires you to you know, talk yeah, yeah, and and share
and things, and those are thingsthat Darryl has a hard time with.
I mean, part of the reasonthat him and and Carol get along so

(19:22):
well is most of their sharing isvery nonverbal. Yeah, it's it's them
sitting together, you know, withwith a couple of words past. They
don't have to say a lot toeach other that they've never you know,
if you think back, him andCarol I think the longest conversation him and
Carol ever had was when uh uh, back when she still had her daughter

(19:48):
and they were she was missing andthey were looking for you know, maybe
that's why he likes Connie too, because Connie can't really talk back, yeah,
except for with her hands and paper, So he doesn't have to say
a whole lot right either. It'sit's a very nonverbal, you know,

(20:10):
relationship. He just doesn't do realwell when there's a requirement of constant input.
Yeah. So I'm like, that'swhy I kind of hope that maybe
they just leave it as it is, right, they let it lie.
They don't they have a friendship orwhatever, and they won't pursue like any

(20:32):
kind of relationship anything with the twoof them. I think it would be
very awkward. Yeah, you know, it would not quite as awkward as
him and Carol, but almost Look, don't don't feed the animals. Don't
feed the animals. Don't say anythingabout them. Sorry, they are like

(20:53):
siblings people, I know. Yeah, so I thought that was interesting too.
I'm like, I don't know,I was feeling like they might try
to do something with them, butI hope they don't. I hope they
leave it well. And again atthis point, Daryl will be going back
to the nest, but he ain'tgoing back happy. No, there's not

(21:15):
gonna be warm and fuzzy feelings. And probably the first thing he's gonna ask
is how could you let him leave? M Where were you? Guys?
Where you You know it took himdays to get there? It was like,
what was it too? At leasttwo days, because we know there
was at least one evening where hesat in that house in the rain,
in the dark. Yeah, soagain, how the hell did Laurent follow

(21:40):
him all the way and not beattacked? I don't know how, Like,
it just bothers me so bad.I hope it's a hallucination of Daryl
or something and it's not real. But it seemed real, didn't it seem
real? I think it's real.Well, now I will say this.

(22:00):
Along his track, he really didn'tsee that many walkers he saw, you
know, the only ones we reallysaw was the one chain to the tree
and then really didn't see anymore untilhe got to the coast and when he
started hollering for the boat and thenthey you know, woke up. Essentially,
hell even putting the walkers aside, just the elements he didn't have.

(22:23):
Where did he stay overnight? It'shard to say. Did he know how
to make a fire? I mean, now here's the other thing that that
is also a possibility, and it'ssomeone did decide to take him and they're
just further behind he ran ahead maybe, you know so, I mean,

(22:45):
there could be a car back, you know, a vehicle back there of
some kind, and you know, maybe Isabelle drove him and as soon as
they got to the coast, hejust bolted ahead. Now I could.
I could absolutely see that too,m And then that would eliminate why,

(23:07):
you know, him trying to surviveon his own for two days. Yeah.
So, and because I know theyI mean they have transportation, Yeah
they do. I don't know.Maybe maybe they'll explain it next season.
Maybe they'll they won't, maybe they'lljust skip it and expect us to accept
it. Yeah. So. AlsoI find it interesting they're making it easier

(23:32):
and easier for dyl not to speakFrench. So when they get to the
nest, and of course one ofthe main leaders turns out to be an
American, surprise, surprise, right, I mean, it was kind of
fine, you know, but Idon't know And what did he say?
Dale actually said something in French whenthey were cheersing at the table. Oh,

(23:56):
it's all was it's a blessings orsomething. It's a something that they
said a whole bunch on the show. Yeah, it was a simple phrase
that it's one of those that's repeateda lot. It sounded weird coming out
of his mouth. I'm not gonnalie, I'm like, what did he
say? Oh, my gosh,I don't know whatever. I don't remember

(24:23):
it was. I mean, butit didn't really strike me as odd because
I had heard people say it quitea bit throughout. So it's, you
know, it's just a salutary greetingor you know, phrase kind of like
us saying things like holy cow orwhatever a lot, you know, and
he's being all nice and being friendlyand teaching people how to use guns and

(24:48):
cheering, you know, cheers ingat the table and like trying to be
like a part of the group. He settled in pretty quickly. Yeah,
I mean, he doesn't hate thesepeople. I mean, he has nothing
against them. You know. It'sit's not that it's not that there's anything
wrong with any of these people. He just wants to go home, you
know. I mean it's just thatsimple. You know, there's no ulterior

(25:11):
reason, and so while he's there, there's no reason why he can't be
useful. You know, he's notbeing held there as a prisoner, right,
So yeah, I mean everything he'sdoing is is very much, you
know, in line with with howDarryl behaves. So they're like, he's
such a good addition, don't lethim go. But the point is he

(25:33):
wants to go home. He willgo home eventually. Yeah, it would
be interesting to see if like there'ssome more time jumping before the and you
know, before he actually leaves andgoes back because like side note, I
don't know if you heard, butlike they're saying that the show runner.
I didn't hear it because I didn'twatch that whole thing, But they're intending

(25:59):
to map she shows back together eventually, which shows all of the spinoffs,
like Darryl Dixon, Dead City Real. Yeah, they're intending whatever shows are
remaining or don't you know, Idon't know, don't expire and they keep
going. I think they intend tomatch them back together. Interesting, So

(26:19):
it's kind of like the Walking Deadis gone and then psych we're kidding,
we're back. We're back again.Well it's kind of gone, but it's
we're gonna reconfigure some things. Yeah, So whatever it is, we already
know he's not gonna stay there forever, right, right, maybe one more
season. I can't imagine Carol goingback and he not being with her,

(26:44):
right, Oh yeah? And Iand honestly, I don't think she is
that far behind him. Mm hmmuh. You know the end credit,
you know, right before the creditsand everything, we see Carol. Yeah,
she's on she's chasing the motorcycle andshe's like, I have been looking
for him, which tells me thatshe gave him that week, maybe two

(27:08):
weeks, and then she was outlooking for him. She gave him the
first full week he said he wouldbe leaving, so then she probably gave
him another week to get back, right, right, and then however long
it took her a week to getthere, that's three weeks, right,
and then go from there. Andof course she's just now getting to the

(27:30):
city limits and she's only just begun, so it wouldn't surprise me if,
like the whole first half of thenext season is her journey there. Like,
we probably they won't even meet up. We know what's gonna be because
they've already named it the Book ofCarol. Oh my gosh. So let
me just say I I am nota hater, I promise, but I

(27:52):
do not like that subtitle. Idon't either. I'm like, you could
have just left it Darryl Dixon, because we know that they're going to go
back and forth a bit. Weknow this, right, un let's say,
are planning on not having Darryl inthere at all until the end,
which I don't see happening. Ithink it's you know, they could have

(28:15):
just left it Darryl Dixon. Yeah, Like, why add that on there?
The viewers are the fans. Wealready know, we know, we
know, we don't need it.I don't know, and you know,
once she comes on this show,Like, honestly, the little bit at

(28:36):
the end of the episode was good. You know, it's like, oh,
typical Carol. You know, she'sback in action. This is what
we expect from her character. ButI also feel that the characters that they
have developed during this season are prettygood. I feel like the chemistry between
them is pretty decent. Right,It's not bad. I don't feel like

(29:00):
this show like at the beginning, you know, it's kind of like I
don't know what to expect. Idon't know how this is gonna go.
But at this time I'm kind ofokay with it, and I know once
they put her in the mix,it's going to change. It's going to
change and hopefully for the better. But now I'm not so sure because you

(29:23):
know, Lisa, I've always saidDarryl's character cannot be like the lead of
anything. He's great as an ensemblecharacter, right, And they've done that.
He's a part of an ensemble perfectlywhen you could tell he slightly has
the lead, but he's not thelead, right. But it's gonna change

(29:44):
drastically because Carol's personality is big.Yeah. Well, unless she's trying to
be the housewife and cookies. I'mcoming. I'm rescuing you, Darryl.
I'm here, I'm here. You'resafe now. Yeah, And now I'm
gonna be meek and cook in thekitchen at the nest. Oh no,

(30:06):
oh no, I mean she can't. I'm just saying she can't be meek.
It's all a ployed, but shecan. There's no one for her
to kill here. Yeah, wellthere is Jenny. Yeah, but Daryl
should take care of her. Ifeel like if she comes, well,
I guess she can come and helphim do that. But at this point

(30:26):
I kind of want to see Darryldo it, especially now that he's got
like some unlikely help. Right right, Well, I will say at this
point, by the time we getto next season and we watched Carol's journey,
it's gonna match up pretty close withhis journey across France and getting to

(30:49):
the Nest. There's there's almost thissmall part of me that goes, Carol's
on that boat. She might beyou know, I'm just saying that there
is a not a big chance, but there is a slim chance, and
she is on that boat. Butif they do that, then that means

(31:11):
that Darryl can't come back on untilthe very end of the series, or
at least middle so they can giveher her chance to travel. But at
this right now, their journeys areparalleling each other fairly closely. They're gonna
be flipping back and forth because Iif they choose to do that or we

(31:33):
don't see Darryl for a couple ofepisodes, I think that's gonna be bad.
I don't think that that will changethe flow of the show. And
I can see them flip flopping everyepisode or maybe during the episode. I
don't know. Things have just gottena lot more complicated. Yeah, well,

(31:56):
and you know, because we know, I mean walking it takes a
while. We know that, youknow, getting from where they were to
this to the nest was what wasit a day's walk? And you know,
we know that they spent several nightson the boat, and we know
that they were at least one dayin the citadel, and there's many days

(32:20):
traveling so at this point, andwe don't know how long he's been at
the nest waiting for a boat either. But you know, it's also possible,
because Carol is coming with purpose, she may find a different way.
And it's possible she may not gothe same route because dyl he washed ashore
there, Yeah, that wasn't theintending landing point. No, she's gonna

(32:45):
land. She's gonna land, probablysomewhere near where Jeanine's at, Jenny Jenny
is at, because you know, she's gonna find out where that boat went.
Yeah, I yes, I agree. She's gonna probably come right into
the mix of it. If she'ssmart or close to it, she's not

(33:06):
going to be wandering around. Orshe could find the people that have the
route that Daryl was gonna take, which is a little bit of skipping around
before he got back to the States. Yeah, well, that's why I
said there's a chance that she's That'swhy I said there's a chance she's on
that boat, because that would beyou know, that would be the route

(33:29):
and he's waving at the boat andhe's like, bye, I'm going back.
He's there. Although Carroll, Carol, you know, Carol knows Daryl.
If she if she is on thatboat and she saw him turn back
and she sees the you know, she sees a kid up on the on
the cliff Halloween form, she'll know, crap, I will save the kid,

(33:53):
you know. So so yeah,I my guess is she's again not
far behind him. Yeah, probablynot not too far. And we don't
really know. You know, again, the time is kind of gray,
right, We don't really know howlong they were at the nest before he

(34:15):
left, just a couple of days, a week, a week and a
half. I guess, we don'tknow. We know that those are gray
because the one guy even you know, Darryl said something about the boats don't
come off and no, you know, every few months or so. So
he could have been waiting there amonth already. Yeah, he could have.

(34:37):
We don't know. They were showinghim, I mean, and they
were showing him very involved. Youknow, he was peeling potatoes and doing
drills and you know this, thatand the other and so on and so
forth. But you know, so, I mean, he could have been
there a few days, he couldhave been there a month. Yeah,

(34:58):
totally. So what did you think? Okay, so I can't remember the
guy's name who was so angry atDarryl. He wanted him dead because for
killing his brother. I have tosay that scene kind of threw me for
a loop only because you know, when he lets them go, this is
why. So I understood him notwanting to kill a child. You know,

(35:20):
most people have limits, and thelimit is I'm not going to kill
a kid, right, So Iunderstood that, But if you wanted him
dead so bad, why not justkill him and let everyone else go or
a couple of them go. LikeI couldn't quite get his entire about face
on the issue. Like obviously, you know I guess is looking at this

(35:44):
kid and two nuns. He probablyrealizes, even though the nests isn't technically
all that far on their own, they're not going to make it without him.
Oh so it's kind of like theyneed him to get there. So
I'll let it go, right,I'll let you do your thing, but
as soon as you're out, ifI find you it came on mm hmm

(36:08):
that that would be my guess.I could be wrong, but he knows
that, you know, Isabel wasa nun. You know, he knows
the other I can't remember the girl'sname now, but knew that she was
a nun. So because he hadbeen to that monastery before, he's aware
of who these two are. Yeah, yeah, so, and not wanting

(36:30):
to kill this kid, knowing thatthey're not all that well prepared for this
world. It would be my guessis he let Daryl live just to get
the kid to where he needed tobe. Maybe, okay, I'll buy
that. I'll take that, becauseI'm like, why he was so angry,
Why wouldn't he kill like or tryto write? Even if he didn't

(36:54):
want to kill the child, whywouldn't he try? But well, and
he even made it clear to Darryl. You know, this is a temporary
piece until next time. Until nexttime. Yeah, you know, I'll
let you finish when you started.I'll let you take this kid to where
he needs to be. But ifI see you again, you know,

(37:15):
although he knows exactly where he is, right, he knows exactly where he
is. Of course now he's youknow, under the tender care of mercies
of Jennye or Jenny, Jenna,Jennay. That's what I say, Jennay.
Who knows who's right? Who knowswhatever? Every time we say Jena,

(37:37):
all I could think of is Forestgo, I love you Jenna.
Oh that it kind of does soundlike that a little bit. It does.
It's driving me crazy, yeah, because every time we say it that,
I've got different Forest Gump things goingthrough my head. Life is like

(37:58):
a box of chocolate. There's nochocolate in this world. Yeah, I
know, shrimps, campy gumbo. No, I'm just saying, right,
this is what's going through my head. Every time we say your name.
It's a circus up in here.Do you think that her story about like
working at the museum or whatever?Do you think that matters at all?

(38:22):
Where they just trying to give ussome information about her, or probably I
mean a little backhanded information because wereally don't know much about her mm hmm,
we don't. They never really talkabout her origins or where she came
from or anything else. And it'snot like, you know, in this

(38:44):
whole upside down world, it's it'snot like what you were in your past
life has a lot of bearing onwho you are today. You know,
Daryl's a great example of that.If if the zombie apocalypse had never happened,
Daryl would probably be dead at thispoint, possibly just because of the

(39:08):
things that him and his brother hadbeen up to. Mm hmm. You
know that they were living a verydangerous life. If you're in jail,
he'd be in jail with his brother, you know. But I mean in
some ways his life was more dangerousbefore, weirdly enough, and you know,
so, I mean he's he's gonefrom that to being someone who's respected

(39:31):
and you know, has a placeof authority if he wants it, and
you know, has a a placewhere he belongs, which he didn't have
before. So you know, he'sa great example. There's you know,
so Janey, you know, herstarting off working at the museum at night.

(39:54):
You know, maybe my humble beginnings. I don't know, but you
know, we've had a lot ofpeople that have risen the leadership that had
very menial jobs prior to the apocalypse, right, well hmmm, you know,
Carol started off in is an abusehousewife, so she has come a

(40:15):
lot with I think she gets theaward for the most transformation, the biggest
transformation of like what you were beforeto now, Like she was so meek
and timid and afraid. Yeah, and and now look at her. She
is the badass of the show.I mean, hands down, I mean

(40:35):
beyond Darryl, beyond Rick, beyondMichelle micheone even she well Michelle came on
the scene as a badass with wellyeah, well headless Walkers, Well yeah,
there's that, But no, Imean Carol. You know, this
transformation that she has gone from oneto the other is just the biggest change
of any character we we we've everhad on here. Yeah, and I

(41:00):
like it. And again she's anotherone of those characters where the apocalypse was
good for her, you know, because if she had stayed in that relationship
with the person she was with,he probably would have killed her already.
Oh yeah, she would have begone, you know, so it'd be
a different show, right. Theythey got the source material right, they

(41:22):
pulled the right things and changed theright things. Yeah, they're pretty successful
overall with the Walking Dead. Butthe question is going forward, how did
they manage these shows and manage tobring them back together where they're actually still
good? I mean, because theseshows are so different, right, they're

(41:44):
so different. I you know,at this point, I'm just going to
follow the ride, and I'm notbecause if they if they start to twine
them back up, it won't befor a while yet, at least until
twenty twenty five, yeah, maybeeven later. So we know, we've
got season two of Daryl Bixon, and we've got season two of Dead City

(42:08):
right to contend with, which Idon't even think they've started that. I
don't think, you know. Andthen we you know, we've got you
know, the ones who Live, which is no one is saying. I
feel like it should be a oneseason honestly, one and done. That's
my two cents. And they couldtake those characters and reincorporate them elsewhere if

(42:30):
they want to. I mean,at that point, they could, you
know, they could roll them intoyou know, Dead City at that point
they probably could, uh, andwho knows what else they have planned.
So just those shows that I'm awareof now, so we've got at least
maybe two years, right, SoI'm not gonna worry about it because,

(42:52):
I mean, we know that AMChas made a lot of grand plans that
have fallen through. Anything could change, anything could change, yeah, definitely,
So I'm I'm just not gonna sweatit. It's just not worth it.
So, speaking of changes, Sowith New York Comic Con being happening,

(43:14):
what last week we had a lotof reveals, a lot of reveals.
So let's start with the most recentor most the thing that's coming first,
which is Fear the Walking Dead. The final episodes. We've seen some
clips, we've seen some teasers.I so again there is not his name.

(43:44):
Sorry. So okay, So ifwe think about the time that has
passed between the end of season sevenand then season eight, what do we
say, like seven years? Yeah, so in seven years, Victor Strand
has transformed himself into someone else whospeaks German fluently? Was it German?

(44:07):
German? I thought it was German? What'd you think he was? Speaking
honestly, I I don't remember Iwas. It sounded almost like a creole
to me. Hmmm, I don'tknow. We'll find out if that's what
my first instinct was. I'm like, is he speaking German? That's what
you know? The I mean? And I could be very wrong. It's

(44:30):
just but that area creole would be, you know, would be right there.
That doesn't mean anything in this dayand age, because everyone's migrating around
trying to find someplace safe. Idon't think that means anything. That's true.
But yeah, so anyway, speakinga foreign language anyway. Yeah,
So, and of course that scenewas awesome. He sees Madison and he

(44:55):
is shocked to see her. Yeah, and she's like I thought I lost
you. And he hugs her andit's like oh, and then he pushes
her away and start act like youdon't know her. I'm like, oh
my god, typical Victor. Ohmy god, I know. And then
she's looking at him and she's like, that is not his name. His

(45:15):
name is Victor. Yeah, VictorStrand. I feel like we're in for
some shenan agains, some Victor Shenanigansand be laughing. I feel like it
might be funny. It might be. I don't think they wanted to be
funny, but I think it mightbe funny. It's funny now. I
fact I saw, I thought thesame was, you know, as soon

(45:36):
as she's like, that is nothis name, and how I could think
of that, It's like first graders. I'm gonna tell mom that's not right.
Yeah, she's like what, ohmy gosh, oh my gosh.
So we'll see so and then wealso just saw the little sneak peek of

(46:02):
Dwight. Dwight Sherry and your Dwightcan't catch a break. Yeah, yeah,
So they are still together? Wellmaybe, I mean they're working together
nothing else. Who knows that theirrelationship together, But you know, I

(46:23):
know they originally broke up. Seemlike they broke up, well, it
seemed like it was you know,Sherry and uh yeah, the nurse.
Uh. The two of them cameto Dwight that you know they weren't,
you know, because they were. He's like, well, how's that my

(46:44):
problem? Well, she's made itour problem, and how we want to
make it your problem. They're goingto get back together. Maybe they're better
off apart though they are. Wetalked about that they are better apart,
but I don't know. It's weird. So we've well, we know there.
Then we've seen all the cast photos, all the usual suspects we expect,

(47:06):
plus one from Throwback, which everyonekind of knew. This character choice
like the villain. He's shining oflike because he's mad at Madison. So,
man, I gotta tell you, that's gonna be a bad grudge to
hold in the apocalypse and travel acrossthe country to, you know, extract
vengeance on a dead woman. I'mjust saying, Okay, she's alive.

(47:28):
I'm kind of killer. I'm justsaying, all right, she's alive.
After all, I have to fixthat. That's what he's saying. Because
I have been mad at people inmy life. Yeah, I have never
been so mad that I was gonnatreck my happy ass halfway across the country,
do extract my vengeance? Look, who said it was logical? Okay,

(47:51):
so nobody said it made any sense, But that's what they're going with.
I mean, kudos to him forbeing able to hold onto a grudge
that tight for that long. Butyou know, yeah, I don't know,
We'll see because it's been what atthis point, what fourteen years.
Yeah, it's been a long time, because yeah, it's been a long

(48:13):
time, like maybe fourteen years.Maybe. Yeah, I don't know,
it's crazy, it doesn't make muchsense, but whatever, I guess.
You know, that is a longtime to hold the garage that tight.
So do you think, like somepeople are ruminating over that idea that maybe

(48:35):
Alicia will make an appearance at theend. You know, I've heard the
rumors. There's been in duendo. We've seen her hand be thrown down in
one of the little you know, tidbits. There's you know, either she
is dead. Someone was telling meurs. I heard a rumor somewhere that

(49:00):
she survived and she was pregnant,or she had a kit or not pregnant,
but she had a kid and shewas wandering the wasteland with this kid,
daddy, what's his name, theone that died at the very beginning.
I know, this is what I'msaying. They went back to that

(49:23):
kid that was in you know, with the watch and in the in the
car him. That part of thereason that she was so sick this whole
time is she was pregnant. No, I'm not kidding, I'm just telling
I am relating the rumors. Iam not saying they're true. I am
relating the rumors. You tell whoeversaid that that is the dummiest, dumbest

(49:45):
it wash I ever heard. Itwas something on the line. It was
YouTuber, one of the speculators.I think that's awful. I don't think
that's even close. Whoever that wasmissed the mark. There's no way.
I'm just saying, yeah, thatwas the whole take on it. That
the reason that she had been sosick and it was taking her so long

(50:05):
to heal was she was actually pregnantand YadA, YadA, YadA, and
after they all left, at somepoint she had the baby, and her
baby will be the cure because shewas walking around bit and almost died,
So her baby's a real cure exactly. You know. So I don't mean
that, y'all, she's not pregnant. I'm just saying, all right,

(50:29):
that was one of those out therewas I heard. Well, I don't
know, because you know, wenever saw her die die, right,
so anything is possible. It wouldn'tentirely shock me. If she brings her
scary looking self. She might stillbe looking crazy, yeah, just older.

(50:51):
But she might never really recover. She might always be like in poor
health, right, and she justcomes stumbling back around to meet her mother.
You know. But if you rememberwhen after everyone had left and she
you know, scuttled off into thesunset, she actually looked better than she
had in weeks. She no longerlooked quite like the walking dead. She

(51:17):
you know, that they all leftand basically she straightened up and she started
walking, you know, in astraight line and stuff. And I'm like,
well, now that's just weird, you know what. And if they
did bring her back that Saint Xshow that she left for that thing,
it was like a one season thing. If she doesn't have a job,

(51:38):
she might come back. Yeah,I mean, I wouldn't hate it.
I wouldn't hate for you know,her to find her mom. I wouldn't
hate a happy ending, right itstarted with them, Let it end with
them. Yeah, So I meanI wouldn't you know, her and Strand
and Madison, I wouldn't hate it. Yeah, I mean neither. I

(51:58):
wouldn't hate it either, and hateit I hope. So So anyway,
that's the kind of stuff that I'veI haven't heard anything else though, I
don't know, maybe I've missed somethings, but that's kind of but I
guess we'll see it starts next weekend, so I'm all excited. So we
also got some tidbits about the oneswho live, which, by the way,

(52:23):
I love the gear that Micheone iswearing. I know, right,
yeah, I'm like, look ather. She a badass modern samurai soldier.
She does. I gotta tell you, it really does remind me a
little bit of of some of thestuff that she wore from the MCU.

(52:49):
Mmmm hmm. You know the Wakandawear, especially one of them that looked
like more like armor, Like yeah, I mean not exact, but I
mean that that feel was there asouldier Well, you know, I guess
we'll figure out what happened when shewent off with that group. She probably
got that stuff from that group, right, and she chased after you know

(53:12):
when she left. M hmm.I wanted that story. I want to
know what happened to her. Somaybe we'll get two sets of stories,
like what happened to Rick and whathappened to her? Like, I hope
they don't not share that half ofit, right as I from what I
have seen, it seems like theyare flipping back and forth and telling her
story as she journeys towards him andhis journey as he's you know, moving

(53:39):
forward. I guess, you know, because we know that we don't know
how much time had passed between himthrowing his stuff in that in the boat
and that boat good getting down towhere Racheon found it, right, you

(54:00):
know, it could have been aweek, it could have been six years.
We don't know, you know,right, Yeah, it's been a
while. Yeah, So you know, my guess is that the starting point
is going to be them taking himback for Rick, and her starting point

(54:21):
is going to be her galloping off, you know, on the planes like
she was going forward. M Well, I know one thing I feel like,
and I know in the early daysof their relationship, I kind of
wasn't really loving it. I'm like, I don't know about this relationship,

(54:42):
but it grew on me over time, right over time, the two of
them, I got it. I'mlike, they're cute. So now I'm
kind of looking forward to that chemistryagain, Can they do? I think
so? I think so. Imean they've been really pushing the storylines,
you know, know of you know, they've been apart from each other for
so long and they were Can theyfind that spark again? Can they find

(55:07):
each other again? Can they?Oh? Shut up, it's not a
soap propet, let's just do this, sorry. I mean, honestly,
this is gonna be so much moreabout them than it is about like the
world, you know, right,Like we're gonna get like obviously the external
forces that kept him away, butit's gonna be I think the core focus

(55:30):
is about them finding each other andwhat happens when they come together. I
mean, I wouldn't hate that wedon't they don't get together until mid season,
I wouldn't hate that, But Iwill say that I really hope it's
not one of those things that theydon't find each other until like the last
episode. That would upset me,Like, okay, so we need to

(55:50):
see them. We need to seethe struggle of them, what his past,
what happened to him in all thoseyears, and her journey to him.
We need to see those, andthen we need some time to see
them together. We need at leasta couple of episodes. They need to
have a reunion that's believable. Weneed to see them like be in love
again, and we need to seethem escape, right, Yeah, and

(56:13):
we can see you know, whilethey're getting to see know each other in
the in the now. You know, they can still do flashbacks. Yeah,
you know that's not a you know, off the table thing. So
you don't want to see them fighttogether, you know, like fight against
others together, all of that stuff. We need it all, We need

(56:35):
the whole thing. Yeah. HowI even want to see them walking back
to where the kids are. Imean, we don't have to see them,
we don't have to see the reunion, but we can see them walking
to the gates or something. Idon't know. There's so much, there's
so much they can do, butI feel like I do want it in
one season. Yeah, I wantit all start to finish the full storyboard

(57:00):
in one season. Like, Idon't know how that. I can't imagine
either one of these actors wanting tojust do this long term. They were
both tired of it, right.Well, and you know they planned initially
three movies. Well, these sixepisodes can cover the same amount that those
three movies would. Absolutely six hoursof content basically give it take maybe five

(57:23):
and a half hours, five hoursof content after you take out the commercial
stuff. I don't know. That'sa lot of time. You can do
a lot exactly. You know, you can do it in three movies,
you can do it in six episodes. Yeah, you can, and it
can feel full and complete. Andof course we're gonna see some other characters.
I saw some boards. I didn'tscreenshot them, but I saw some

(57:47):
of the other characters they have. You know, obviously, the woman who
plays jadis obviously obviously we might evenfind out what happened to her, what
her role is in all of this. That guy, Yeah, and a
couple other people that I recognize theirfaces. Was there any any mention of

(58:10):
any of the characters from the worldbeyond going to be to being in this,
I don't. I don't think outsideof jadas, I don't think so.
I'm gonna look up the cast rightquick. Let's see, because I
mean, it wouldn't be outlandish. We have so far Leslie and Brandt.

(58:36):
She is the woman who was thesidekick of Lucifer, you know one time
I loved her. Yeah, AndTerry O'Quinn, who was like the main
guy and lost and he was ina couple other things. His face is
very recognizable. I wouldn't have knownhis name if I didn't look at his

(58:57):
face. So so far, theseare the only people besides Andrew Lincoln and
Deny Guerrera and Polly Macintosh that Ican see on the IMDb page. That's
fine, I was. I didn't, I mean, I don't. I
don't expect them expect them to tiein World Beyond. But I could also

(59:24):
see them using this as a wayto tie up some loose ends from there
too. Yeah, because their stories, you know, were kind of entwined
a little bit. So it wouldn'tshock me, Like, yeah, you
know, if if the dad showedup on this show, you know,
as you know, being forced towork in one of the labs, wouldn't

(59:46):
shock me. Honestly, that wouldbe such a great tie in, right
with like little to no effort.Yeah. But would they do it?
Yeah, I know, I mean, like I said, if they had
something like that, it wouldn't Itwouldn't shock or surprise me in the least.
Hm hmmm. Interesting. But wehave to wait till February for that,

(01:00:09):
Yes, which is not far it'snot far away. It'll be here
before we know it. Because atthis point, you know, we'll basically
finish up most of the rest ofthe year with With Fear. Then we
get a short Christmas break essentially, and then we're back at it in February,

(01:00:29):
and then I think everything's just kindof running consecutive after that, isn't
it. I think so. Ithink there may be another running gap,
but not a long one, youknow, maybe a couple of months.
Yeah, not too bad, Idon't think. But I'm excited. I
think it's gonna be a fun twentytwenty four for the TWD universe. I

(01:00:50):
think it's gonna be good. Ido too. I'm looking forward to it
because it might be over a yearbefore we see another Dale Dixon. I
don't know. I haven't seen anythingthat indicates when season two will be out,
but it wouldn't shock me. Imean, if they hustled, right,
if they hustled and got it done, maybe we could see it in

(01:01:10):
the fall. But I highly doubtit. I doubt it. I think
it's gonna be like a Winner twentyfive release, like February. Okay,
that's just my guess, unless they'vebeen working really hard, because you know
that with the writer strike, right, Yeah, it's hard to say.
Everyone's schedules are screwed up at thispoint. Yeah, it's hard to say.

(01:01:34):
And no one said anything about arelease date for season two, so
it wouldn't shock me entirely if it'shonest to god, like February of twenty
five, right, and I'll beokay, I mean because again, we've
got a lot of content going forward. So mm hmmm, because we'll get
our you know, a half seasonof Fear we'll roll into or are they

(01:01:57):
doing the whole season or they doinga half season of Fear? No,
this is eight B so we've alreadyseen Oh that's right, Okay, so
we ended getting six episodes. Ithink that's right, right, right,
Yeah, I don't know why Iwas thinking. I was like, yeah,
this is a new never mind,mm hmmm. And it's been a
while. Okay, there's a lotgoing on. So Kreina just corrected me

(01:02:22):
on season two of Gerald Dixon. They got a waiver to keep filming,
so they've been filming season two.So maybe we will see it in twenty
four fall, okay, fall nextyear, that'd be cool. Yeah,
so let's see Fear. We aregetting one, two, three, four,

(01:02:43):
okay, so six episodes, that'swhat I just counted. In my
little app here, one, two, three, Yeah, six more episodes
all right? So then yeah,so that'll put us into November, and
then we'll have December and January off, be back in February and then we

(01:03:05):
just start up the whatever comes upnext. Yeah, whatever comes up.
I should have got something else inthe works. They haven't like shared yet.
They don't share all so maybe we'llget more tails or something Tails of
the Walk. Yeah that, honestly, that wouldn't surprise me at all.
Yeah, I'd been kind of waitingfor them to announce they're going to do
another one, like over the summeror something. I know I would love

(01:03:30):
that. So yeah, yay,we got all the we covered all the
updates, I think yep, Ithink we got it covered. Okay,
I think we're ready to roll intoFear of the Walking Dead. Now I'm
ready. And you know what,it was funny because before I was like,
I don't know, I don't knowwhat to expect. I'm not that
excited for the end. But nowI am. I feel like they've shown

(01:03:51):
me enough. I'm like, yeah, let's do this. I want to
see what happens. That's not aname. Sorry, I know, you
know Victor is so cool with it. He will he will carry this to
the end. It will take alot for them to believe that he's lying

(01:04:13):
to them. You know, he'sjust you know, he's such a consumate
liar. Yeah, so good atit. He is good at it and
is crazy. But you know,I don't know. Maybe seeing her again
will change him a little more.Again, I don't know. We'll see,
all right. I think we're donetoday. What do you think,
Lisa? I think we are donehere. Okay, yay, this has

(01:04:35):
