Exactly, no scene by scene breakdowns here. We jump around
and of course huge spoiler alert for everything in the
world through yesterday's episode. If you're cool with that, this
is the place for you, and we should just jump
right on in. Okay, episode four, what did you think?
Liked it?
Speaker 2 (01:54):
I also have a theory. I have the theory.
Speaker 1 (01:57):
Okay, what's your theory, let's hear it.
Speaker 2 (02:00):
Okay, So this is my theory on why they don't
want those two to be together.
Speaker 1 (02:05):
Okay, I am.
Speaker 2 (02:06):
Pretty sure somebody was cheating and their half siblings.
Speaker 1 (02:11):
Leave that because I'm like, what is the reason?
Speaker 2 (02:14):
What is it? There really isn't another good reason, Okay,
I mean, it's the apocalypse. It's not like there's a
lot of eligible women. You know, everyone should be happy.
But the fact that both sides, you know, his father
and her uncle are both very much committed to them
(02:35):
not being together. Yeah, tells me, I don't know if
I don't know who, which which side cheated on who,
I'm not even gonna try and guess somebody cheated at
some point and you know, oopsie.
Speaker 1 (02:48):
But okay, I I think it could be as bad
as that. But why wouldn't you just tell them? Tell them?
Speaker 2 (02:58):
You know, here, the thing I've noticed this, and maybe
it's because this is a community that has, for the
most part, managed to stay cohesive. They're not lots of
people from all over the place. They didn't have to move.
They still had their family memorabilia, they still have their pictures,
they still have their they still have those connections to
(03:21):
their former life. And you know, I really think that
part of that reason is they're trying not to disrupt
the community. Apple cart, Okay, okay, because they still kind
(03:41):
of seem to be a little bit, you know, wet
into the past in a way that a lot of
the communities that we have up till now seen haven't
really seen. You know. But then again, this isn't a
melting pot. These are the people that were together before
the apocalypse and managed to stay together. Okay, mmm, all right,
(04:03):
I like your theory.
Speaker 1 (04:06):
I do. I hope it's not true though that would suck.
Speaker 3 (04:09):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (04:10):
I still think one of them is going to die though, Oh.
Speaker 2 (04:13):
Yeah, I mean I'm not gonna say that. You know.
What I'm saying is is I think that's the reason because,
particularly the uncle, the idea of her being with him
seems to disgust him.
Speaker 1 (04:26):
Bee hates it.
Speaker 2 (04:28):
Yeah, and yeah, so who knows, I mean, because I
think it was it was his sister and husband that
died and he said he would take care of her.
And we know Roberto's wife died years before the apocalypse,
(04:48):
so I don't know. Maybe Roberto's father was lowly.
Speaker 1 (04:52):
You know, I don't know. Whatever, it is, no happy
ending for Justina and Roberto.
Speaker 2 (05:00):
It's it's not gonna be. And I think, if you know,
at some point, I think the secret will have to
come out because they're together now, well briefly anyway.
Speaker 1 (05:10):
Right.
Speaker 2 (05:11):
And and I'm gonna say I'm also rather amazed he
was able to fight them so quickly.
Speaker 1 (05:17):
You know. That was another thing that just did not
sit right with me. I'm like, how this guy can't
survive out there for very long. But yeah, he just
found them right.
Speaker 2 (05:28):
Well. What the only thing I can think of is
because they do seem to have a circuit where they're
going and picking up girls, he may have known what
the next city was in what in that direction.
Speaker 1 (05:38):
Or maybe it was just some dumb luck. Maybe maybe
I don't know, because he doesn't It doesn't seem like
he was gone that long.
Speaker 2 (05:47):
No, No, it doesn't. I mean maybe I don't know.
Four six hours before they left.
Speaker 1 (05:51):
I don't know, but that was fast and I'm like,
get out of here.
Speaker 2 (05:55):
Well it might have been more because it was dark. Yeah,
it was dark when he found mm hm.
Speaker 1 (06:01):
So I don't know. Yeah, I don't know either. Maybe
I guess they just want us to believe it, so fine, whatever,
But I'm curious to see, you know, if they come
back and show us what happened, you know, before the crash.
I kind of want to see it. I feel like
I think they're gonna show us. Yeah.
Speaker 2 (06:23):
Yeah, she she snuck away with him and they weren't
happy about that.
Speaker 1 (06:29):
Yeah, because I'm like, oh, they're kind of like mixing
up the when the way they showed the scenes, I'm like, oh,
this must be kind of like a flashback kind of
then like going back, because I'm like, is that him
out there? But then we saw the scene of the crash.
Well did we see the scene of the crash before
that or after that? Before before? Yeah? So I'm like, oh, okay,
(06:50):
I think I see what's going on here.
Speaker 2 (06:53):
Yeah. So yeah, I mean maybe maybe it was the
night before. I don't know, it didn't doesn't really tell
us how time went.
Speaker 1 (07:02):
Oh.
Speaker 2 (07:03):
I also got a really big giggle out of towards
the beginning of the show with Carol Darryl and the
ship's captain.
Speaker 1 (07:13):
Oh my goodness. That was freaking hilarious. And I do
like that they kind of poked fun at all the
carrollers that's what they're calling themselves. Yeah, they're like, no,
we're not together, Like hell no. The look on their
face like no.
Speaker 2 (07:31):
Yeah, and she's like not ever and he's like no,
not never, never, not never.
Speaker 1 (07:38):
Yeah. That was spectacular. I'm like, maybe maybe that's the
line we needed to get them to back off, maybe.
Speaker 2 (07:46):
Because I mean, because I don't I don't want to
say that his look was discussed. It was more just
like amused, shock, are you kidding me?
Speaker 1 (07:55):
No?
Speaker 2 (07:55):
We're not.
Speaker 1 (07:56):
How could you even think that we're front exactly, Like,
why do you think I'd sleep with my one of
my best friends?
Speaker 2 (08:01):
That's gross, right, exact, So, and I and I knew
it's I mean as soon as that line was out.
I mean, that has to be to try and help
put that whole Carol Darryl get together thing to and
and I'm really happy because I don't want them to
put the two of them together romantically. Yeah, some of
(08:24):
us do. We don't want it. It would just it
would ruin this really special friendship that it's just a
friendship and it can just be a friendship and not
be weird.
Speaker 1 (08:36):
Oh, Karina says. The Carollers are saying, Darryl, don't protest
too much. Lord, it's crazy.
Speaker 2 (08:49):
And we've seen her being all, you know, googly eye
with you know, Roberto's dad, and you know, we saw
him with what's her name last season and she's been
married and he's been off seeing other women. They've never
you know, I mean, they're always there for each other,
but they're friends. They could be friends and just be friends.
Speaker 1 (09:09):
Yes, And that's that happens occasionally where two opposite sexests
just stay friends. It actually happens.
Speaker 2 (09:16):
It does happen. It's weird, I know, right.
Speaker 1 (09:20):
I know, so weird, but I like it for them,
and I'm glad that they're not going to disappoint us
and throw them together, like please.
Speaker 2 (09:27):
Don't, right, oh please, that would just be awful.
Speaker 1 (09:31):
Yeah. The two of them together kind of makes me
gag a little bit, as if you were, because I
think of them as like close, like siblings, so I
would not like that.
Speaker 2 (09:41):
You know, way way back, I think it was was
it first season or second season, when Sophia went missing
and the two of them were out and he was
talking about the Gypsy rose Flower, remember that. Yeah, way
way back, they had this one brief moment for the
(10:03):
two of them together. They were sitting there and he
was reassuring her that they would they would find Sophia,
and I'm like, you know, that'd be kind of cute together.
And but by the end of the season, like now,
they're just friends, and I wanted them to stay that way,
you know what I mean?
Speaker 1 (10:19):
And I mean honestly, and there's nothing wrong with the
age gap romance, right, we see them all often, but
for some reason, I just didn't see that for them
early on, I was like, eh, I guess it for that.
Speaker 2 (10:33):
It was just that one episode, and I was like,
you know, I could kind of see Darryl and Carroll together,
But that was also really early on in the season,
you know, before we really had a chance to see
the two of them together and all the things. So yeah,
I don't, yeah, I don't see that as something It
(10:57):
would just be weird.
Speaker 1 (10:58):
At this point, I commented it should have put it
to bed, but it didn't. These folks are relentless.
Speaker 2 (11:05):
Oh come on, people, just stop.
Speaker 1 (11:09):
Get over it already, Like, come on, it's funny to me, Like,
just stop.
Speaker 2 (11:16):
And you know that that was the main reason they
put that light it was. It was for that reason
right there.
Speaker 1 (11:21):
Like we're trying to make fun of you guys. So
you know.
Speaker 2 (11:24):
Yeah, and for a brief period of time, they almost
had a navigator.
Speaker 1 (11:28):
They did. I'm like, of course they did. They almost
did so close and so close, so close, and of
course that means that guy's got to die.
Speaker 2 (11:38):
You know. I mean, I suppose I could have seen
him going back with them, you know, But honestly, at
this point, I kind of think I'm kind of think
of Roberto's father's gonna go back.
Speaker 1 (11:54):
Hmmm. Really, so you think both of the kids will
either what figure out to stay together and stay there.
Speaker 2 (12:01):
Or I could Okay, hear me out on this. Roberto
is her father, Roberto dies, and father and daughter go
off with Carol and Daryl to the America's fresh start.
(12:22):
I don't know.
Speaker 1 (12:23):
Wait, so Roberto and Roberto's father, okay, is the father
of Justine Okay, yep, uh huh?
Speaker 2 (12:29):
And Roberto dies?
Speaker 1 (12:31):
Oh no, Justina doesn't have a father.
Speaker 2 (12:33):
What do you mean Roberto's father.
Speaker 1 (12:36):
Yeah, but then you mentioned Justine Justina.
Speaker 2 (12:39):
And I said so, but Roberto dies, her boyfriend dies, okay,
So okay, so when Berto's father lives.
Speaker 1 (12:46):
Antonio and Justina will go off, yes, to do what
I don't know something I mean, because I don't know,
to get the hell out of there.
Speaker 2 (12:55):
Yeah, you know this. They have done some really weird
things on this show. Okay, So logic does not apply.
Speaker 1 (13:02):
To this, Oh my gosh.
Speaker 2 (13:05):
But because I don't think Roberto's gonna make it, I
really don't.
Speaker 1 (13:09):
Yeah, I don't think he's gonna make it either. But
I do think Justine is me too. But I don't
think that his dad would leave with her.
Speaker 2 (13:19):
I don't know, because things are a little I mean,
especially if Roberto's gone. He's not really happy there, right,
and there's really nothing there for him. And he does
like Carol.
Speaker 1 (13:37):
He does seem to like Carol. Maybe maybe because you know,
I thought about that earlier, you know, because that would
be nice if they somehow I wouldn't hate it if
they got together. And I'm not, y'all know, I'm not
one to just be like start rooting for like couples
to get together as shows. But for some reason I
saw something there, so maybe.
Speaker 2 (13:59):
Yeah, I mean, I wouldn't hate it. I don't know
that he'll live.
Speaker 1 (14:04):
Yeah, I still think that boat's gonna be taken out,
though maybe I don't know this. That other group they're
just so destructive. They want to burn everything to the ground.
Speaker 2 (14:16):
So when they first showed up on the scene, the
only thing I could think of is we have Vikings now.
Speaker 1 (14:23):
It's well, remember do you remember they kind of looked
like that when they raided the boat.
Speaker 2 (14:28):
I know, I'm like, so we have vikings now. Apparently not,
but I mean with the horns and the pelts and yeah,
I mean bikings, they looked like vikings.
Speaker 1 (14:38):
They kind of did. Yeah, they kind of did. It
was strange.
Speaker 2 (14:44):
So, yeah, they're not on any side.
Speaker 1 (14:45):
They just want to burn everything down, which is weird, Like,
what's the point of that.
Speaker 2 (14:51):
Why? I don't know. We have met other groups like
that in the other show. You know that we're just
very nihilistic and you know, like the one group that
wanted to blow up, you know, set off the nuclear bombs.
It's a whole world, a fresh start, yeah whatever. Yeah, yeah,
so we've met groups that were that were like that.
(15:12):
I don't understand the psychology of it other than they're
just nihilistic.
Speaker 1 (15:18):
And they call themselves. I don't know how to sum Yes,
I don't know how I feel about that group. I
think that that was an interesting fight though. That was
a very long scene and.
Speaker 2 (15:33):
In multiple levels and you know, flinging the dead on fire, that.
Speaker 1 (15:39):
Was pretty interesting. I'm like, look at that, Look at that.
I didn't expect them to throw the dead like that.
Speaker 2 (15:48):
When when the truck went by and they're like, what's that,
I'm like, that's a tribute. Shay got that part, you know,
come on, Darryl, it's a banthrowy thing.
Speaker 1 (15:57):
Yeah, Like, oh my gosh, Because at first when we
saw the trailer, I couldn't tell what they were throwing.
Speaker 2 (16:03):
Yeah, and I honestly I saw it was on fire,
but I figured it was like I was thinking more
medieval battles. I was thinking probably like oil or something
that when it hit and exploded, it would stick to
things and set it on fire. That was what I
was thinking, like tar or motor oil or something like that.
(16:26):
I wasn't expecting them to fling the dead.
Speaker 1 (16:29):
No, And like you could see the bodies now, but
it's like at first I didn't realize what that was,
isn't there?
Speaker 2 (16:34):
Yeah, yeah, it took me a minute to go, wait
a minute, what am I? What am I? What am
I seeing here? And I had to go back because
at first I thought, did the did the fire hit
a group of people?
Speaker 1 (16:50):
Yeah, because it was like they died fast if that happened, Like, no, well.
Speaker 2 (16:54):
I suppose if you get clobbered by a big rock
full of fire, you know, it doesn't work out well
for anyone.
Speaker 1 (17:03):
But yeah, and they looked the dead looks so bad
you could tell they were yeah, yeah, not new turns.
Speaker 2 (17:11):
So but yeah, that was that was interesting. I did
listen to the after when they were talking about it,
and they said it was kind of inspired by Middle
Ages when they would fling play victims over the walls
and uh, you know, so they can start sickness within
the castles to get them out. Like, oh, okay, that
(17:32):
that makes sense.
Speaker 1 (17:33):
Mm hmm. So m so what did you think about
like the aftermath of that. So after they got finished fighting.
Speaker 2 (17:42):
You know, here's I mean, they actually put on a
good show. I don't know what the point of the
bells were because no one else came except for Daryl
and Carroll. I and I would have had assumed that
if they have a an alliance, other people from an
other part of the alliance would have come, exactly, I
(18:03):
guess not. Now. They did make use of the weapons
that were given, like that gatling gun. That was pretty cool. Yeah,
but in and they did, I mean, and it was
you know, without those weapons, they probably because they had
just gotten the gatling gun, they wouldn't have been able
to defend them off.
Speaker 1 (18:24):
But so I think I kind of agree with, you know,
what the FEDE guy was saying and kind of not
so I kind of see Roberto's part, you know, point
of view and his so yeah.
Speaker 2 (18:40):
That's that's kind of where I met. I mean this,
there really is no good choices here. But you would
think that if you have an alliance, if you have
an alliance, that that means you actually have a mutual
were you you help each other. And that doesn't seem
to be. What the cases that whoever the king and
(19:02):
his entourage and all the taking that they do, they
take the girls, they drop off the weapons, but after
that you're on your own, right, And I don't know,
I guess it's okay, but you know, the weapons were handy,
don't get me wrong. But then again, they're out scavenging.
They could probably have done the same exactly. But think
(19:24):
about the words that Roberto used. They're supposed to keep
us safe. Now, that is more than just hand and
over guns. That sounds like there's an expectation of something
else exactly. And when they were ringing the bells, to me,
that's when to me, that means we're calling for help,
because those bells could be heard for miles right, particularly
(19:46):
in an environment where you no longer have stereos and
cars and radios and interference. You know, it's pretty quiet
out there, so yeah, those bells would ring for a
very long time. Yeah, so, and the fact that and
this and this battle seemed to last a decent amount
(20:08):
of time.
Speaker 1 (20:08):
Because for hours it was day, then it was night.
Speaker 2 (20:12):
Exactly, so you know, I mean that was it was
a long time, and so there would have been plenty
of time for more people to come. And obviously that
entourage was not all that far away, because once Roberto
ran off, he found her what seemed to be fairly quickly, right.
Speaker 1 (20:30):
So I don't know if they were close enough to
hear the bells, but maybe I don't know. I guess
it depends on I mean.
Speaker 2 (20:39):
The Daryl and Carroll heard him hour, you know, far
far away there on the coast.
Speaker 1 (20:45):
Yeah, and I'm not really sure how far that is.
I don't know, a couple hours, because they went out
there and came back all in the same day. Yeah,
I don't want the way an hour.
Speaker 2 (20:58):
Yeah, probably been an hour or two, I mean, because
they didn't get there right away. Now at the beginning
of the they kind of came in, you know, middle beginning.
Speaker 1 (21:08):
Those did have to be very loud too, because you
have waters, you have to hear that over the ocean
noises and everything else. So yeah, those were really really
loud mm hmmm, and they heard him clearly mm hmm.
So yeah, yeah, and of course they just had their
own fight to contend with and then they go back
and there in another fight.
Speaker 2 (21:28):
Yeah, cares like, we'll just go in check on, you know,
check over, bird over, it.
Speaker 1 (21:33):
Will leave, Yeah, right, Like that's hilarious. He's like, you know,
just the right right, Like, good luck with that. That
never works out. Yeah. I don't know what he was thinking,
but actually this whole thing at the beginning, he's like,
you know, we're leaving, we're not getting involved, you know,
(21:54):
more of that, more of the same, but they're getting
involved obviously.
Speaker 2 (21:59):
Well then he even brought you know, his involvement with
I want to call her Anna, but I know that's
not what her name, the French nun. And he, I mean,
he brought up the fact that, you know, his involvement
with her kept him from coming home sooner or from
(22:20):
trying to come home sooner, and if he had just
stayed true to the mission of getting home, he could
have been home before she ever left. Yeah, And I
think he kind of feels bad about that mm hmm.
And he doesn't want to give it and he doesn't
want to get distracted anymore. And he knows every time
they get involved with people, every time they they hook
(22:42):
up with a group, that something happens. And you know
the delay is not just a couple of days, it's years, months.
Speaker 1 (22:52):
A long time. Yeah, but you know the thing is though, yeah,
you're trying to get home. But at that same like
the flip coin of that, you can't. I guess you
could if you were that kind of person. But I
can't see his character or Carol's character being like, oh, well,
look at these people suffering, let's just keep carry on.
(23:15):
I just it's not in them to do that, even
though they probably wish they could. It'd be easier just
to go home if they screw everything else.
Speaker 2 (23:24):
And Daryl is starting to soften a little bit to
this whole thing.
Speaker 1 (23:29):
Well, yeah, I mean, let me do check on Roberto,
then we can go.
Speaker 2 (23:33):
Right. We'll just do this real fast. That's all. This
is all we're doing. Uh huh.
Speaker 1 (23:38):
Sure.
Speaker 2 (23:41):
I will say, though, the right hand man that was
gonna shoot at the Roberto, he wasn't ailing for tires.
Speaker 1 (23:50):
No he wasn't.
Speaker 2 (23:52):
He was not, and he was apologizing. No, I we
had this plan when you and it so obviously they
they have been trying to figure out a good way
to kill him and make it look reasonable.
Speaker 1 (24:04):
Yeah, that's what it seemed like. Well, you know what, though,
I'm not sure if Fede knew he was doing that,
because the way he reacted was like it felt like
maybe not sleazy. I'm not sure. I can't tell if
it was his dude, you know, his his I don't
know arm I don't know Armed guy guy number one, whatever.
(24:25):
I didn't know if it was him doing that on
his own or not. I personally remember, I don't think.
Speaker 2 (24:32):
He does anything without you know, for a days blessing.
He doesn't seem like a big thinker to me.
Speaker 1 (24:43):
I don't know, he's trying to fight him outside of
you know, his house or whatever, so, which also seems
weird to me. So after he realized that Justina was gone,
he was so mad. He came screaming outside his house
like you know what, tell me what happened and all
(25:03):
this stuff, and that guy comes out and obviously he's
not gonna talk to him, but then later he comes
and finds him. He comes and finds him, and he
has a conversation with him. I'm like, well, I thought
you didn't want to talk to him. What was all
that about? What was it he came later and said, hey,
I want to tell you. I'm sorry.
Speaker 2 (25:22):
Yeah, I know what.
Speaker 1 (25:23):
He just didn't want he wanted to do it on
his own time.
Speaker 2 (25:25):
I guess maybe. I don't know. I mean, it is
it's a very strange dynamic.
Speaker 1 (25:32):
Yeah, it's weird, like he seemed like he was hiding
in his tower, he didn't want to deal with him,
and now he's like, oh, you know, so sorry.
Speaker 2 (25:39):
And it could have been he didn't want to deal
with him in front of the people that could see
and went to see him where he was more secluded,
no witnesses. I don't know.
Speaker 1 (25:49):
I don't know. And he and apparently Roberto thought he
was gonna get some kind of punishment. I'm like, what
kind of punishment he talking about. He's gonna throw him
out there with the walkers like they did the other guy.
What he surely die, mister, I'm not prepared for the
real world. I don't know. Yeah, it's not a killable
offense in my opinion.
Speaker 2 (26:11):
I mean, and again it keeps being brought up that
the only reason that Roberto and just Sine no whatever,
her name is, you're gonna have to kill it in Justina.
Justina were there at all is because of Carolyn Darrel,
Except we both know if Carolyn Darrel had not come
(26:33):
across them, they'd be dead. They'd be dead, yep, or
at least Roberto would be dead at least.
Speaker 1 (26:40):
And she would have been taken by those people. Yeah,
that would have not ended well.
Speaker 2 (26:45):
It would not have ended well. Mm hmm. And and
that's just facts if they had not been there, if
they had, if they had not interfered, both of them
would be dead or at least Roberto would be dead
at this point. And and Justina would not be happy
with her new physician in life.
Speaker 1 (27:02):
No, she would not, absolutely not.
Speaker 2 (27:07):
So I mean it just they can keep throwing that
back and you know Daryl and Carroll's face, except if
I had been the two of them. Yeah, because obviously
you guys were doing so well with the bandoliros m
h who have taken all your stuff and had you
at gunpoint, and we're not going to let you go.
Obviously you were doing so well, right exactly, don't you know.
(27:33):
Don't live in this fantasy world where oh we could
have gotten away. No, No, they wouldn't have.
Speaker 1 (27:39):
Yeah, well, I don't know. I'm curious to see what.
Obviously they're going to Barcelona, right, Yeah, so yeah, that
seems like they're getting out of there real soon. I
don't know. I feel like, okay, so this episode it
was good, but what was just something that just seemed rushed?
(28:00):
Did seem rushed to you? Like how we jumped from
like this long fight that just it seemed like it
hopped from day to night real fast, and then we're
out on the road looking for Roberto and then bam
we find the car, Bam we see them, you know, right,
It just seemed like there were steps missing.
Speaker 2 (28:21):
And they might fill in the I'm hoping they fill
in the blanks.
Speaker 1 (28:25):
We're not going back to any of that fight though.
I think they're done.
Speaker 2 (28:28):
No, no, not the fight, but at least you know,
him Roberto getting Justina, you know, them fighting him, that
kind of thing. You know, hopefully that'll get filled in
a little bit.
Speaker 1 (28:41):
Yeah, because I felt like it was kind of rushed
at the end. I don't know that whole and I
understand they wanted a bunch of action in this episode
and they accomplished that, But because of that, I think
they sacrificed a little bit of the story to have
so much time on that fight.
Speaker 2 (28:56):
Yeah, so maybe it was a massive fight though, mm hmm.
That's probably one of the biggest one they've had in
yeh show. Yeah, so from the original Walking Dead when
they had that big battle, I think that was probably
the last time we've seen something this big.
Speaker 1 (29:16):
M h I don't know. It was just a lot
of people that Daryl took out. I guess Carol did
okay too, but it seemed like, again, Darryl is a superhero.
He just takes everyone out, so he looks like it's
so easy.
Speaker 2 (29:31):
Yeah, if Carold did actually take out her fair share
of people, she did, she handled herself. Well, she's getting
up to the Yeah, she's up to the task apparently.
So Yeah, I'm happy that the battle happened now and
not like five days prior when she was still dizzy
and woozy. Yeah. That really I'm getting the feeling that
(29:55):
they have actually been there longer than what we're thinking.
Mm hmm, because right, because honestly, I've been thinking, oh,
they've been there about a week, But I'm getting the
feeling now that maybe it's been a little bit longer
than that. We're just not they're not giving us the days,
you know what I mean? I get that.
Speaker 1 (30:15):
So do you think we'll see this past character more,
the woman who was helping in the house with Roberto.
Speaker 2 (30:23):
I hope we do.
Speaker 1 (30:24):
I feel like there's something there. She's kind of lurking around,
you know what I mean, She's around watching stuff, and
she's been in a couple of good scenes, but really
doesn't say much of anything. So I'm not sure what
they plan on doing with her character. But I feel
like she's gonna play some role in the end of
(30:44):
this some kind of way.
Speaker 2 (30:47):
Oh, she's gonna spill the beans about them being half
half siblings. That maybe that'll be her role.
Speaker 1 (30:57):
I mean, and she still has her you know, lady
friend and to deal with. So I feel like she's
gonna play some kind of role in the finale of
this maybe even maybe bigger role in season four. I
don't know. I'm curious to see what they do with her.
Speaker 2 (31:11):
I don't know. I don't know. I mean, like I said,
I you and I used to really try to make
reasonable assumptions on what would happen on the show, and
then we realized that they're basically using drunken monkeys to
throw darts, you know, at a board. Yeah. So yeah,
(31:38):
it's it's you know, things that you would think there
would be a natural progression don't always happen, and then
these weird things happen. So it's really kind of hard to.
Speaker 1 (31:47):
Say there's no rhyme or reason there is, because, like
you were saying, you think that they've been there longer,
and I would agree because of the scenes where they
were fixing the boat. Yeah, because I'm like, wait a minute,
they're teaching her how to navigate, they're you know, they're
somehow they got that boat up there right side up.
Speaker 2 (32:09):
Yeah, on the same I mean they used the truck
and they used the change. But yeah, I mean they
built a whole scaffolding and they have started the repairs,
and they've sown the sails, and I mean they've done
a lot of work.
Speaker 1 (32:24):
Yeah, like probably weeks worth. That probably took them a
long time to do. Yeah, Like again with one truck, right,
and that's that that's not a day's work. Even I
mean there was like.
Speaker 2 (32:37):
Three, four, five, six or six people look at that thing,
but that that that is not six people's worth of
you know, that's that's more than a day that.
Speaker 1 (32:45):
They had to build that. They had to build that
whole thing. Yeah, like no, dude, and they have.
Speaker 2 (32:52):
To and they're gonna have to get you know, repair
it with tar pitch, you know, and you know, seal
all the cracks, and they're trying to get all the
barnacles off the bottom. That's what she was doing, was
scraping the bottom of the boat. And you know, teaching
Carol how to use the sextant. You know that that's
(33:12):
not something you're going to learn in an hour.
Speaker 1 (33:15):
No, they were trying to teach Daryl how to tie
nuts and stuff like the very basics of sailing, right.
They stood on't how to sail.
Speaker 2 (33:27):
Yeah, you know, and Daryl very much doesn't want to
have anyone else on this boat.
Speaker 1 (33:32):
Which is stupid.
Speaker 2 (33:33):
It is, it very much is. But again, I think
Daryl at this point is just so afraid of involving them,
him and Praerrel with anyone else to just make everything
go off the rails. Yeah, because i mean, let's face it,
every time there's a third person with him and Carol,
they tend to die.
Speaker 1 (33:53):
Yeah, they do. It's almost a curse, like you just
don't want to go with them anyway.
Speaker 2 (33:59):
Right, you know, so you know he might just be thinking, no, no,
we really don't want to know. No, no, no, poor kid,
he was just gonna they were just talking about letting
him go on the boat. They killed him.
Speaker 1 (34:11):
Yeah, well, you know, they offered that late the captain.
They offered her like, hey, why don't you come? And
she like, naw, I'm good now, No, I like living.
Speaker 2 (34:24):
Oh and she she likes the life she has there,
and I mean I can't blame her. She has a
pretty good life there.
Speaker 1 (34:31):
Yeah she does. I can't even hate on it. And
she's like, this is a where I'm at in my
life right now.
Speaker 2 (34:36):
So I'm good.
Speaker 1 (34:39):
Take old boy, you can't.
Speaker 2 (34:41):
Hate on it. She's I mean, she's she She even
said this is probably the most content she's ever been.
Mm hm, So you know, kutos to her, mum hum.
Speaker 1 (34:52):
But they need somebody that actually knows what they're doing
if they actually get on that freaking boat again, which
I'm still not convinced, you know, best la ants and all.
Speaker 2 (35:01):
Yeah, I don't know. I mean, they put a lot
of work into it, but that doesn't mean that that's
what's going to happen.
Speaker 1 (35:07):
Yeah, I mean, like I said, the primal people could
spot it and just tear that thing down set on fire.
Speaker 2 (35:13):
Well they can't spot it. They did try, but you know,
they killed them all. So they killed them all.
Speaker 1 (35:18):
So yeah, but that doesn't mean there aren't more. They
seemed like a huge gang of them.
Speaker 2 (35:23):
Oh yeah, and and some got away, at least one
got away. So yeah, And we know that there were
people on that other hill with the trebuche with burning
dead people. So we don't know how many were actually
over there. I mean it could have been, you know,
one or two, It could have been a dozen or more.
We don't know.
Speaker 1 (35:43):
Yeah, I don't know. So I don't know. We don't
even know if they have They seem like they're from
all over That's what the one guy said. Yeah, so
they don't have a place to live, but they have
these cars where they get the gas from all this stuff.
All these questions, well you're getting but you know, they
could be stealing gas and stuff. I don't know where
(36:05):
are they getting the resources. We are far into the
apocalypse now, this stuff is not just around anymore.
Speaker 2 (36:10):
Yeah, I mean I have a feeling that they pillaged
for most they just prey on people, take what they can,
take their vehicles.
Speaker 1 (36:21):
Then I think the writers missed the opportunity to tell
us when you know, Carolyn, Darryl saved Roberto and Justina.
They missed the opportunity to tell us how dangerous those
people were and they have taken down other towns and
they do. You know, that was the opportunity to kind
of fill us in a little bit, so we knew
(36:41):
what we were up against dealing with them.
Speaker 2 (36:43):
What they what they did is we've heard rumors of you, yeah,
but we didn't know if you were true or not.
M And I'm kind of surprised Daryl didn't say anything
m hmm about them, like, hey, you know, who are
these guys?
Speaker 1 (37:00):
Mm hmm.
Speaker 2 (37:01):
But he didn't. He's been a lot more closed mouth
in this, you know, since washing up on shore than
he has been in the past.
Speaker 1 (37:10):
Yeah, so, hmmm, yeah, I guess.
Speaker 2 (37:14):
Oh, sorry, I was gonna say. And I don't think
they're everywhere. I think they just I think they were
just roaming, you know. I don't think they have a
permanent base. I don't think they have a permanent home.
I think they just wandered.
Speaker 1 (37:27):
Well, at least that's what they wanted them to think anyway.
At the yeah, at the very least they don't want
you know, that could have been a poy or not,
who knows. Yeah, but I did think it was cool
that they had Darrel on a bike again, like that
was fine. As you know, they're driving around, uh, the
woods in the countryside. I guess, I don't know, hmmm.
(37:49):
It kind of felt like they were driving around the
same spot though, but maybe yeah, the same wooded spot
over and over again.
Speaker 2 (37:57):
Well, I mean it's it's woods. Woods often looked a
lot of light that they were probably traveling just down
the same road.
Speaker 1 (38:05):
It kind of looked like it to me. But I
it was a good episode. It was entertaining. It was
it was better I think, maybe more entertaining than the others.
So that's a winner.
Speaker 2 (38:22):
That is a winner.
Speaker 1 (38:23):
No rewinding, none of them, So that's like good. I
think it's good.
Speaker 2 (38:29):
I mean I did rewind, but it wasn't because I
wasn't paying attention. It's just because you know, I'm blind
and I wasn't sure what I was seeing, so you know, yeah.
Speaker 1 (38:37):
That's a different situation. But yeah, I don't know. I
had to find enough time with it. I don't know,
I don't really have anything more. I don't think you do.
You have other things we should cover? What do you
think did we miss anything good?
Speaker 2 (38:54):
Because really the focus of that was the big thing
on that show show show last night was the best
mm hm, And we don't really need to go blow
by blow. No, they did have some cool things, but
you know, the people on fire and stuff. But yeah,
I mean that was the big chunk of it. And
(39:14):
so yeah, I think we've covered everything that was. You
know that we should all right. I think we're gonna
end it there like we're done. We are done.
