Here. We jump around and ofcourse huge spoiler alerts for everything every

(01:36):
show in the world through yesterday's episode. So if you're good with that,
this is the place for you,and we should just jump to it.
But before we do, Before wedo, Lisa, my ear drums almost
blew out. Let me tell you. Let me tell you how. So
you guys were having audio issues.Hopefully you can't hear it. But I
have my volume at one hundred soI can hear her. And when I

(01:59):
play the intro, it was atone hundred. In my ears, Oh
my god, almost jumped out ofmy seat. Way to god game.
I'm oh my god, I'm likethe fuck right out. I jagd one
of the ear things out of myear so fast. Oh my god,
it was a thing. I'm like, oh shit, Yeah, we don't

(02:22):
know what's going on because my audiois push it one hundred percent and everything
is working on my side, everythingis working on her side, but for
some reason, technology has decided.Nope, I know. We can thank
restream for that. Thank you,Restream. Why am I paying you all
this money? I don't know.I don't know either. It doesn't like

(02:43):
me at all. Okay, let'sget let's hop to it. We got
a lot to talk about. Ifeel like, Yeah, episode four,
Oh my god, that was thebest episode I ever saw in my life.
I really enjoyed it, you know, because you and I have talked,

(03:05):
you know, especially after the firstepisode about how much trauma that Rick
has been through. Mm hmm.And this was really misshown confronting all that
trauma. Yes, and you knowit's that, you know, what is
it? The hostage mentality? Youknow, but you've spent so much time

(03:28):
with your captor to identify with yourcaptor. Yeah, he was definitely feeling
those vibes. It was hard forher to break through that, oh yeah.
And he kept coming up with excuses, well, maybe could be possibly.
And then even after they saw thatthe helicopter had crashed into it,

(03:51):
you know, into another building, and she had inadvertently saved them. He
still wanted to push the button andgo back. You know what, though,
that scene that was her breaking pointtemporarily. She's like, fuck this,
Yeah, fuck you, I'm leaving. How dare you? When the

(04:15):
when the prison house? Oh whenyou walk out? I don't just stay
right. So she was so frustrated, and I have to give Dinna Garrera
all the praise. You know, she wrote this episode. Oh yeah,
she wrote it. She was directed. Well I don't she technically was directing
it, but they gave her thelead on it. Oh yeah. Her
cans are all over this and itshows because I feel like she nailed the

(04:41):
relationship points like no other. Thelevel of frustration Micheone had with Rick is
real. Oh yeah, well, and you know, and a lot of
it was is again, she hadthis story built up in her head of
what it would be like when shefound Rick, This this one her reunion
and her being able to extract himfrom wherever he was and him joyfully coming

(05:06):
back with her. Yeah, theythought she thought, oh, we're gonna
skip off into the sunset like Iplanned, and she got something she was
not prepared for. No, youknow, Nate tried to warn her.
Yeah, you know, you haveto know when to go. Maybe I
should have just left, you know, Nate would have been alive and so

(05:29):
on and so forth. Yeah, you know, if she hadn't have been
so consumed with finding and I know, there's that part of her that she's
going if she had not been soconsumed with finding Rick, that she could
have taken all of those people backto Alexandria and saved them. Yeah.
Maybe she'll never know, because youknow, she doesn't know what was going

(05:50):
on there. But she doesn't youknow, she's thinking the what ifs,
you know, just like when shetalks about being stuck in that mall for
a year, She's like, Ilost another year with my children, another
year, and I made this trackto come back empty handed, looking stupid.
No. Well, and and Ithink she was heartbroken when she finally,

(06:15):
you know, revealed that they hada son, you know, oh
that's named after him. And itstill wasn't enough to break through. And
that oh that hurt her. Ithurt her bad, It definitely did.
I mean, she lets the youknow, the secret, I guess,
you know, she's kind of tryingto shield him from it, I think,

(06:39):
but it just kind of stumbles outand he's talking about the stupid button.
She's like, are you listening? What what is wrong with you?
Like, dude, who are you? And That's exactly what we were saying
last episode, like he is someonecompletely different right now. He is a

(07:00):
He is a broken man. Thething, I'm broken almost. You know,
they they broke him. I meanthey they He spent so much time
and effort trying to get away, and it reinforced every time that he couldn't
escape, that he can't get away. And then you know, okafort you

(07:21):
know, he began to form thisbond with him and started to see things
his way. And again it's thatthat that captive mentality. He's at them
for so long that he started toidentify with his captors. Yeah, and
I'm not even sure he necessarily agreed. I think it was like this last

(07:44):
ditch effort thing. You know,he's accepted, he's stuck. He's accepted,
you know, even when he revealsto Michelle what his real problem is,
which I could I was saying thisverbally the whole show. I'm like,
he is scared. He's scared, and he needs to grow up hair,
suck it up. And do itanyway. You know that, you

(08:05):
know that phrase, you know, feel the fear and do it anyway.
Right. Oh yeah, he neededto break through too well. And and
again that goes back to him beingbroken because it took it took bravery to
cut off his own hand to getaway, you know. The things that

(08:26):
he did and the things that hetried took guts and the fact that he
did it over and over and overagain, you know. And then finally
he was just when the defeat happened. It happened all at once, you
know, he just and you couldsee where the crumbles started, you know,
in the first episode. So yeah, he just and and I think

(08:52):
him leaving with Mishun that the ideaof rekindling that that hope that he had
literally burned, you know, ina trash barrel, was almost more than
he could bear. Oh, itdefinitely was. I mean, honestly,
his monologue when he kind of breaksdown and reveals all was just some spectacular

(09:18):
work. Like honestly, we couldtell so from his story he was already
halfway there when he couldn't even rememberwhat Carl looked like anymore. Right,
So then once that was gone,he was dreaming of all these different ways
that him and Michone were falling inlove, which is, oh my god,
heartbreaking, and then he starts toforget her as well, and then

(09:43):
it's like that was the last straw, and he talks about being dead while
still living, and I'm like,he is the walking dead right in the
most simplistic way, like he isdead inside, but he is living anyway.
And in a way, I thinkMicheone can kind of identify with that

(10:03):
feeling because when Michelle was first introducedto the group that was pretty much her.
She was walking with the walkers. She had, you know, two
of them on a leash, andshe just wandered with them. She had
no fear of the walkers because shejust you know, she was one of
them. Yeah, And it wasRick that pulled her out of that,

(10:26):
and I think as he was talking, I think she could kind of identify
with that because she had been thereonce before, with that loss of hope
and seeing a future a forward, you know, other than putting one foot
in front of the other. Yeah, definitely, And it just took a
while for her to work through herhurt. And you know what she did,

(10:52):
honestly, she did it a lotfaster than Rick did. Oh yeah
so and honestly, at the endof the show, So let me just
skip to my first impressions. Rightat the end of that episode, I'm
like, wow, ma shone, she as the wife, She's doing the
heavy lifting. She did all theheavy lifting almost she pushed him across the

(11:15):
finish line. And I'm like, isn't that reality, Like we do all
the heavy lifting, the emotional heavylifting and get them there where they need
to be. I'm like, isit I swear this is reality? Yeah?
It really is, you know,And I felt that. I felt
that. Yeah, I'm like, god, oh my gosh. He would

(11:39):
still be if it wasn't for her, he'd still be singing like their songs,
dancing their dance. He would havenever broken out of it. No,
And she had to like kind ofalmost reset right when they got back
to that apartment. And of coursewe have the scene that we were all

(12:01):
like, it's gonna happen. Oh, oh, of course she's gonna do
it. She's deprived for eight years, he's deprived. They're gonna do it,
And of course that also brings themcloser again. But after that,
he wanted to get up and leaveand she's like no, yeah, no,
I mean just that was a flatno too. Yeah. She's like,
no, we're gonna sit here andfigure it out, and we're not

(12:24):
leaving until we figure it out.Yeah, and the Holy can collapse down
around us. And I'm not movinguntil we don't care. She does not
care. It's more important for themto figure it out than to run out
of that building and then have thingsstill a mess. And she took from
net you know, you gotta knowwhen to go right. It's not time.

(12:50):
Wow. Her character that writing forMicheaun was so spot on. She
is so smart. She has grownso much as a character for till now.
Okay, I'm gonna say one thing. Okay, and this is,
you know, because of the badthings that have happened on like fear of
the Walking Dead and world beyond, just the the stupidity factor, you know,

(13:13):
or the stupid thing factor. Iguess how you how you want to
look at it. So at thevery end, when they're showing all the
rubble in the and they showed thatlittle rumba, I'm like all I could
think of is I swear to God, if they had that thing press the
button I Am going to be pissedbecause you know, they left it up

(13:37):
there in the apartment. Yeah, and it could have been pressed by a
falling you know, wall or ceilingor whatever. That Hopefully they go back
and they, oh, yeah,we blew that up. It must have
been just a glitch, you know. But yeah, there's in the back
of my head, I'm just like, if they showed that little rumba hitting

(13:58):
the call button, I'm gonna bemad. I as that because it's this
has been like a perfect episode ofof of realism. You know how two
people you know, in this veryhorrible situation are trying to reconnect and if
that had happened, I just lookedbeen mad. Oh my gosh, right,
I mean to top it all off, because, to be honest,

(14:20):
throughout this whole episode, they hadthese low lows and these highs, and
honestly, again credit to Deny forwriting this because even with all of the
heavy, you know, emotion, she found levity. Some of that stuff
was funny. Oh yeah, likewhen you know there she's angry at him,

(14:41):
they're angry at each other. Heruns after her finally, and in
that scene, I'm like, leavethe room, idiot, go and follow
her, and he finally does.He knocks her down, you know,
and they run off and they're fighting, and then all of a sudden,
he like they're kind of about asink, right, they haven't fought together

(15:03):
in a while. He yanks theknife out of the things head. It's
flats in her face. She's likereally, I'm like, oh my god.
He's like sorry, she gave himwas death death? Like, how
dare you around my house? That'scalled the aunt Jenny look. Yeah,

(15:24):
okay, I feel like I've seenthat in a TikTok when everyone says,
you know, be scared of AuntJenny. Oh yeah, yeah, you
know, that's exactly what that is. That's the aunt Jenny look. I
have perfected the Aunt Jenny look.Oh yeah, she got it. And
you know the time where she callshim commando. You know, like they
had these random, well placed comedicbeats that really helped, right, helped

(15:54):
break it up, It helped kindof make it. It wasn't all monotone.
Like a good set of music, you have your highs, you have
your lows, you know, Andthat's what this whole episode. It has
these ups and downs and and againpeople in trauma situations and traumatic situations,

(16:14):
they will still fall back to levity, you know, just to help try
to process through what's going on.So it wasn't out of character, It
wasn't unreasonable behavior. Yeah, itdidn't seem weird. It fit. Honestly,
it fit. And I mean,I know if that feeling of you

(16:37):
know, I can't stand you rightnow, but you know obviously I still
love you. I can't stand you, but I'm not. We're not gonna
let anything happen to each other. We're gonna fight these things. Just like
when he wouldn't leave her when thechandelier fell on her. You know,
she's like, oh, I justwanted to hear you say that out kind

(16:59):
of you know, like, yeah, we're in this big fight, but
I still won't leave you or dolet anything happen to you. And so
like that is what made it evenmore funny. Like when these they're they're
struggling at first, like but atthe end the end the chef's kiss,
Like after they work it out andthey leave the room, they're like fighting

(17:22):
in tune with each other. It'slike got that capile back, you know.
The mood changed, the fighting change, the energy stepped up a little
bit. I'm like, wow, full circle. Yeah, and this is
it's that energy that Jadas was afraidof. Yes, like, oh no,
they can't do everything anything. Iwill say, did you watch the

(17:45):
Little After? You know, youknow, just behind the scenes. Yeah,
So what's sticking in my head isat the very last that behind the
scenes is you know, they hadthe perfect moment that they drove off into
the sunset. Yah, and youknow, and if we had just left
it there, you could believe anyyou know, anything was possible. But

(18:07):
this is the Walking Dead, right, so there's no way they get that
let's just drive off into the sunsetending. But it was. It was
a nice it was a nice endingfor that episode. It was. But
I think everyone would have been disappointedif that was it, to be honest,
Oh yeah, I mean I'm surethey would be, but in a

(18:30):
way that I mean, it iskind of nice to imagine them just driving
off because you know, they're evensaid, I think we can make it
all the way back to Alexandria inthis car. You know, it's like
the kiss of death. Why didyou say that out loud? You know,
but yeah, it was just kindof that you know they're in the
car there, and I love it. He gets into the driver's seat and

(18:51):
looks down stick shift. Yeah, well okay, that's and they're a road
trip. I mean, like ona pre apocalypse road trip. I mean,
honestly, I feel like this isthe first time we've seen Rick's expression

(19:11):
that did not look like he wasin pain or sad. Oh yeah,
this is it. Yeah, becausehe's looked like a kicked puppy, yes,
the entire time, this entire time. M h And he looks relaxed
and real smile. Yeah, becauseI don't think. I don't think even

(19:32):
when when he when he saw Micheon, he didn't smile. There was panic,
you know, when he first sawher, you know, after the
helicopter went down, and you know, even when she told him that Judith
was okay and everything else, henever really smiled mm hmm. And it

(19:52):
wasn't until the last one, maybefour minutes of the show, you see
that real smile. Yeah, becausehe's technically been unburdened, right, Yeah,
he's got all the stuff off hischest. He's feeling really positive right
now. He's feeling that we cando anything energy. So even if it
only lasts a day. You know, he can enjoy it now. I

(20:18):
mean, honestly, they both lookedamazing, like even Michelle, look at
her, she's care free. Let'sskip off and oh yeah, yeah,
you know, and even that buildingcome I mean, and the building coming
down was you know, it wasyou know, that was kind of like
the the ending. You know thatthat was the the line. You know

(20:38):
that his whole life is now gone. They think he's dead. Jadis doesn't
even probably doesn't even question that they'redead or not. The plane ran into
the side of a building. Whowould have jumped out from that height?
Well, ma shoone exactly how theyhad to have jumped into that into that
lake. That's how they let's seeonly they would have survived. Mm hmm.

(21:03):
Yeah. Actually, I'm glad thatthey showed us that scene because at
the end of last episode we reallydidn't have any kind of idea what they
were jumping into right, like howhigh was it? We had like,
you know, questions, but thenwhen we saw okay, thank you for
fixing that. Again, credit togreat writing. Let's just fix it right

(21:25):
away, so they're not questioning that'snot possible. How did they survive?
You know, let's just nip itin the butt, right, And I
gotta tell you, I was reallyintrigued by the by the building they were
in, you know, because wehave you know, they go into this
apartment and the lights turn on andI you know, we're going to get

(21:47):
it to your perfect temperature, andthe little roombas running around, and you
know, it looks like there wassomeone there that just stepped out, is
what it looked like. Yeah, and Rix's looking at the refrigerator completely empty
clean, I might add, butyou know, the giveaway was when Michelle

(22:07):
put her stuff on that stool bythe closet that had a layer of dust
on it. Yeah, the room, but couldn't get up there, No,
it couldn't. And we also gota we also got a little more
information in just a little short SoundBiteof what Michelle's life was before the pandemic
or before the apocalypse. You know, she she loved that book. She

(22:34):
was wanted to be a writer, and she went to college and she was
a writer for a little while, and she went to computer science and you
know, she bounced around us.And I really think that's the first time
she's ever talked about her life beforeother than when she told Rick about her
her son and her husband and brother. Yeah, I think that's cool though.

(22:59):
I think it was a prod Andhonestly, it was almost like it
was written that way. But itwas the perfect segue for her to talk
trash about his poetry or version ofpoetry. I should say, right,
you know, and you know,so I really I like that because it's
not that we need to go atthis point, going to a deep dive

(23:19):
into her pre apocalypse life or anything. It was just this not you know,
it was kind of I just likedit. You know, she's sharing
something that apparently she had never evenshared with him before. Yeah, and
it's setting up a future moment becauseI don't know if you Reckon saw it.
But when they ran for that, car Rick had the book in his

(23:41):
hand. Look, oh the JudyBlue Book. Yeah, he had it.
Nice. So somehow he picked itup from her dropping it or something.
So we're gonna see it again.I don't know if he's actually gonna
be able to give it to Judithbe nice. It would be nice,

(24:02):
yeah, you know. And thenyou know them going down and when they
were in that in the in thelab and reading the whole and we were
trying to make a better a betterworld. Things went bad, you know.
Yeah, and then the person electrocutedthemselves, which was wild, but

(24:23):
I guess that's what they felt theyhad to do. They felt desperate to
end it. Well. And inMichelle, you know, not said said,
you know all the zombies, they'reall the walkers, they're all rail
thin, they're all starving. Mmhmm, and you would have to.
I guess my question is, becausewe know that people have moved around,

(24:47):
I don't understand why these people justdidn't go, Okay, we need to
believe. I suppose it was winterand if they were trapped and it was
winter, but they would have shouldhave known before winter hit if they were
going to have enough or not.Yeah, or you know how sometimes like
she said, after reading the letter, you know, they are so stuck
in this is the right way, this is the right thing. It just

(25:11):
goes to hell. People didn't leave, they didn't do what they should have
right, and people died. Right. Maybe it's as simple as that,
they're just being hard hated. We'renot going to leave this place, right.
Yeah, that energy trying to put, you know, put across him.
If you can't keep doing the samething over and over again and expecting
a different result. And this wholeI mean, because the whole thing with

(25:37):
the life inside the walls of theCRM are not terrible. They are good
for the people that are in there, Don't get me wrong, They're living
a decent life, right. Butthe soldiers that are doing these horrible things
to maintain that, you know, that's not sustainable because here's the thing.
Soldiers like that that are trained tobehave like that. Even if they wipe

(26:03):
out every other human being on theface of the earth except for the people
inside the walls, once they've donethat, they'll eventually turn on the people
within the walls absolutely, you know, because every army needs an enemy.
Yeah, I mean, I thinkwe're gonna see you next episode. You

(26:25):
know, I think Jadas comes backagain, So we're gonna see and you
know, Micheane says, well, obviously we can't go home, right.
She started to figure this out ofher own. They have more work to
do, and although during this episode, what she said to Rick in that
moment was true. She said, you know, OKAFORCET mission is not yours,

(26:48):
right, you know this, that'snot your responsibility. Maybe changing the
CRM one day is not your responsibility. Let it go like yours is your
family exactly and it is. Yeah, and you know the little clips that
we saw next week, you know, she's saying, you know, we
can't go home right now, orwe can't go home, and that may

(27:11):
be true, but again him goingback and becoming part of the CRM is
not. That's not the answer either. It's not the answer. It's not
the solution. No, you know, perhaps the solution is blowing up the
meeting place. Now, that mightbe a solution, you know, Yeah,
I don't know. I mean,I'm curious to see what they could

(27:33):
do in two episodes to Re's officeor well, they just have kind of
like a mini win, you knowwhat I mean, like a win against
the immediate bad guy, but maybenot the CRM as a whole. Maybe
they take a bite out of them, but don't destroy them, because we
know that they are not that farfrom where Rick was working on that summit

(28:00):
place it and it's obviously and theynever really said what more was supposed to
be that that place has got tobe more than a place for these leaders
to just get together this one time. That place has got to have more
significance, because otherwise that's a largewaste of resources. No, they're gonna
build it up. They're gonna putmore helicopters there, whatever equipment. You

(28:25):
know, they're gonna build it up. So and Rick even knows when the
when the whole thing is supposed totake place. So it is very possible
if they get trapped and they can'tgo back, going forward and blowing all
those people up is an option.Mm hmm it is. Yeah, I'm

(28:45):
all for it. You know,if they could wipe out the entire leadership
of the CRM and one blow butgo baby. Well, I mean they
did have all that fuel in theback of that car. Yeah, they
all that fuel, all that jetfuel ins are not jet but helicopter fuel
and stuff there on site. Yousaw when they were you know, and

(29:07):
when they were there in the stagingarea getting ready to go out to fight
the walkers. You can see allthe supplies. Yeah, they did have
that too. So I don't know. I don't And the thing is,
and I almost like that in thisshow, I can't even presume to guess.
Yeah, I have no clue whatis next, even though I think

(29:30):
we make some intelligent, you knowguesses, but it's wrong. I'm guarantee
you as wrong. I will saythere would be a certain poetic justice if
Rick and Micheone can push that herdback towards the conference once all the people
are there and then trap them in. They're like, like they did to

(29:52):
Omaha, Wow, that didn't work. Look could they do that on their
own? I don't know, Imean I can't was was shown there for
uh Alpha? I don't remember now. I don't remember either. And I

(30:14):
did not go back and rewatch thelast season what that mahone was in.
Yeah, I didn't either. It'sbeen a while. I do believe.
Yeah, she would have, shewould have been there for for that.
Well, she didn't tell Rick aboutAlpha. She only told him about the

(30:37):
scar on her back from that onefriend that was her ex friend. Yeah,
but they really didn't talk a lotabout what had happened while he was
gone either. No, they didn't. He has there's a lot to catch
him up on still. But yeah, I mean it's possible. I mean
they you know, they do knowhow to turn hers and it wouldn't be

(31:00):
that difficult. I mean, justmake noise. Yeah, So I don't
know do you think they're gonna killJadas or do you think they're gonna make
another deal with her? I don'tknow at this point. I honestly,
I'm kind of hoping. I'm kindof leaning towards kill Jadas, but only

(31:26):
if they can get enough of theupper echelon to die at the same time.
Because right now they know that, you know, Rick knows that she
has information about Alexandria. So shejust dies, It's probably going to someone
else in the CRM. Yeah, her fail safe. We don't really know

(31:48):
when or how that's gonna disperse tosomeone, you know, if it's gonna
be we don't know how that willhappen. So if they did kill her,
and you're right, if they tookout enough people higher than her,
then it might not matter. Itmight not matter, right because they probably
wouldn't know what to do with it, you know what I mean? Or
only that, But if you killit, if you kill enough of the

(32:10):
upper echelon, the ones that aredoing all of this, and leaving only
ones below that have no idea evenwhat the plan is, you know,
that would cause mass chaos. Youdon't have to kill everyone, You just
have to kill the right ones, you know, and even and as high

(32:35):
up and rank is Rick Is,he doesn't know what the plan is,
you know, And and from everythingthat I'm we've seen so far, not
many people do, no, justa handful. And he was right at
the gates of knowing this, right, but you know that happened, so

(32:59):
you know, so you know,if everyone that'll be at that meeting knows
what the plan is, if theyall die, well who's going to carry
on the plan? And this plan? Yeah? And we also know from
you know, this whole thing whatgoes on in you know, the civil

(33:22):
government that runs the inside of thecity has no idea what the military government
of the CRM is doing. Yeah, So again they kill these military leaders,
the city people will keep going onas they have, and the ones
below who were unaware of this planor know what the plan is can't continue

(33:45):
it because they don't know what itis. So I wonder if it would
be as simple as just taking outBill. Could it be that simple,
like maybe they don't think to takeout fifteen people or twenty people. Maybe
them, No, I think Ithink a few more would have to go.

(34:06):
Feel jadis well, Jadas is,Yeah, she's for sure but and
you know a handful of others, you know, and again it does it
may not have to be fifteen, you know, five five would probably be
sufficient. And the problem is,we don't even know what that higher echelon
of knowledge looks like. We don'tknow how many people it is, we

(34:29):
don't know what you know, wedon't know anything about it. No,
and that's possibly by design. Ohyeah, absolutely, So, like I
said, I mean, if saysthere's only two episodes, I could see
Rick and Michelle going, you knowwhat, that's it, We're just gonna
kill him, because that would bethe expedient way to take care of the

(34:52):
problem. Absolutely, that would bethe quickest way, for sure. Just
kill everyone. Yeah, what's thesaying, kill them all? Let God
sort them out. Yeah, essentially, I don't have a problem with that,
because again, these are the peoplethat went, yeah, we'll just

(35:13):
you know, get rid of Seattle. It's fine, because you know,
they got rid of Seattle. Youknow, they got rid of Omaha,
and God only knows how many smallsettlements, how many small communities they just
decimated. We know that they wereas far down as Louisiana, and we're
causing problems down there. Yeah, but we know that, but Rick and

(35:37):
Michone don't know that. They don'tknow that. I'd say, you or
I would get a great deal ofsatisfaction to seeing them all die. Yeah,
definitely. And I'm pretty sure Rickand Machone just on general principle would
feel pretty good about it too.You know they would because you know,
even looking at it from Michelle's pointof you new group of people she was

(36:00):
dealing with. Yeah, you know, she want to take them out just
for murdering them. Yeah, andI don't. And and again because these
people didn't try to negotiate with them, they didn't try to turn them away,
they didn't try to do anything thatstopped them from going. No,
they just came in and drop chemical. Yeah, there was horrible ways to

(36:22):
die mm hm. And you knowthat's not that's not how good governments act.
No, I'm pretty sure someone wouldjust rather be shot than have that
doused on them. Oh yeah, you know. So you know, and
I'm with Micheone on this. Shehas no love for the CRM, and

(36:45):
she should not and she shouldn't andit's not the you know, and she's
been inside the wall. She's seenthat they have this really nice setup for
these people inside who are blissfully unawareof most of what goes on. And
that's great for them, but it'snot so great for the rest of the
world. And the rest of theworld shouldn't have to suffer so that a

(37:08):
handful of people can live. Well, Well, we're I feel like,
you know, this is we're notdone. I feel like with so many
other shows, you know, beingjuckled right now, we're not done with
the CRM. They are not goingto destroy the CRM. I'm still sticking

(37:28):
to the point where I think they'regoing to disable them for a minute,
I think they're going to save themselvesin that community. You know, they're
going to protect the intel that Jaden'shas laid out there, and they're going
to set them back. But we'renot done with the CRM and this show.
Well and again, I mean,we know that the CRM is far

(37:49):
flung mm hmm. We know thatit spans most of the United States,
if not all of it. Weknow that it's has influence over in Europe
because there's been you know, hintedat through several different you know, between
Darryl Dixon and what do you callit, the other show Dead City at

(38:14):
City, so you know they're they'rearound. Oh yeah, so again,
I mean, if the big thingis is if killing the upper echelon it
won't stop the CRM, It won't, But what it will do is it
will set back whatever plan this isand hopefully get rid of some of the
more zelots. Yeah, and hopefullyhonestly on this, you know, on

(38:44):
the small scale, I feel likewe just want Rick and Michone to come
home without a monkey on their back. Mm hmm. And I think that
is what they will give us ifnothing else. I'm just not expect this
big grand thing. I don't knowif they do it great, I just
don't know how they can, right, And like I said, it's it's

(39:07):
I don't know. I don't expect. Again, do I expect? Ricka
has shown in two episodes of takedown the entire crem No, it's not
possible. But can they set themback? Yes? Yes, yes they
can, Yes they can. Youknow what else I really liked during this

(39:27):
episode were some of the I guesslines that were drawn to other things,
like callbacks, like I love seeingthe scenes with Carl again. Yeah,
I love that so much. I'mlike, oh, God, it's so
sad. It really reinforced the sadnessof it all, especially for me.

(39:53):
It was when they were it wasshowing Rick, you know, on that
country road with walking and he disappeared. Oh it's so sad. Yeah,
you know, with the little yeah, the little version, and you know
it's just you know, every andthen him talking about you know, the

(40:13):
dreams that he had with her,him and Mi shone in all the you
know how many different ways they hadmet, you know, how many ways
they had fallen in love. Andthen it was taken from him too,
And it was just heartbreaking. Thatwas And it actually really even though you
know, we said Michelle did theheavy lifting, she did, but it

(40:35):
gives us room to give him alittle bit of grace, right right,
because it was so awful for him. And I mean it's not like he
was gone for a week. Eightyears, yeah, and this was eight
years of indoctrination, eight years ofbasic torture, eight years of living in
fear, and even jadis you know, instilling additional fear. I know where

(41:00):
your community is, and if youleave, guess what, I'm going to
kill everybody, Yes, you know, And I mean just that that oppression,
you know, that that steady downwardpush, you know, pushing him
into the ground. You know,it wasn't it wasn't his fault. But

(41:25):
you know, God, you canjust the feels for Michewn. Honestly,
I'm surprised she was able to pullthat off in basically twenty four hours,
Like she got him to change hismind in essentially twenty four hours. Yeah,
And I mean, and a lotof that has to do with the
fact that the love that they havefor each other is was real, as

(41:50):
the character said, cannot be denied, cannot be denied. And it was
their love that kept him going forso long. But you know, and
and then but when he broke,he broke and with and it was her
insistence, her reminding him, hershowing him together. You know, we

(42:16):
are strong together, we can doanything. M h You know, I'm
for you and you're for me,and this is what we're about. And
I think that's what he needed tohear and shown. Oh yeah, absolutely,
absolutely, Oh my gosh. Oh. So, before we like complete

(42:44):
our conversation on this, I wantto draw attention to the titles. We
didn't talk about the titles of theseepisodes yet, No we haven't, and
so I'm sure you have heard aswell how the first three episodes tie in
with the past, right m h, with the first season. So I
think it's really unique that they're doing. I'm telling you, they plot this

(43:07):
show so so tightly, and Ithink so the next set would be these
two. So this episode was whatwe and then isn't the next one become?
Right? What we become? Becoming? What we become? Now?
What were becoming? That's not aproper sentence. No, I thought it

(43:28):
was just what we're becoming? Right, But I'm putting them together, like,
for example, episodes one through threewere years gone by. If you
spell it out like that, anepisode four and five four is what we
and five is become. I justchecked it. So between four and five,
I think it's like a two parterwhat we become? And then episode

(43:52):
six is called the last Time,So they're even telling a story in the
naming of the episodes. I don'tthink they could reach this level of perfection
with another season. I don't.This was just everything was thought out,

(44:14):
planned, execute it with like extremelike laser focus. Everything was with intent
you could tell like even the storiesthey pull back on from the past.
They're all with a purpose. Thestories micheone is talking about from her past,
we're gonna see a different episode.I'm sure we're gonna see that book

(44:37):
again. You know, everything they'redoing is so meticulous, and everyone is
saying. You know, the showthemselves have not said yes, we're doing
season two or no we are not. They have not said that, and
I appreciate them for not saying that, because I think they're trying to keep
it ambiguous in case they choose to. But I honestly, you feel like,

(45:00):
I don't know if a season twowould be as good as this season.
You can only make this magic onetime. Yeah. Well, and
there's also because we know that they'renot reviving the Walking Dead, and I'm
not gonna lie. I would verymuch like at the end of this the

(45:22):
sixth episode, to see them walkinginto Alexandria. I know that would be
so great. I would like thatvery much. Bring us full circle and
that's full circle. Yeah, andjust from there let everything else play out.
Because we know that they're not bringingback the Walking Dead. M So

(45:44):
the closest that we have to thatat this point is Dead City. So
what I would love to see happenlike you. I want to see Jade
is dead. I want to seethem go home. I want to see
a reunion between Rick and Judith anj oh. Yeah, that would make
me happy. And if they wantedto throw something in for good measure,

(46:08):
they would let Morgan be there aswell. Right, But I don't know
if we'll get that, But that'swhat I'm hoping for because I just want
this story tied up. And ifsome of these characters choose to show up
in other shows, fine, sobe it, right. I don't know.

(46:31):
I'm just not and this may bean unpopular opinion, but I know
they plan for one season, andI hope they stay with one season.
I hope they don't get greedy andjust say let's just force more seasons out,
because I just don't think it's gonnahit like this. This had so
much care, I don't know anotherseason would hit in the same way.

(46:52):
Right, Well, and again, this is a story of Rick and Macheone
finding each other. That's what thewhole point of this, and getting Rick
home, getting the brave Man hometo this family exactly. And I mean,
if they really wanted to do asecond season, it won't we won't

(47:15):
see them go back to Alexandria. You know, they'll be whatever, you
know at the end of episode six, but they won't be home. No,
And I don't really want them todrag out the conflict with the CRM,
because it would be great if thetwo of them alone could take down

(47:37):
the CRM, but we both knowthat that's not realistic exactly. And and
I would hate for them to drawout a second season of just you know,
guerrilla warfare. Yeah. I don'twant that. We don't want it.
No, So I think it wouldbe really nice for them to,
you know, have their their bigaction moment in episode five and episode six,

(48:05):
the ending of episode six being thereturn. Yeah, go home,
go home, Go home. Andyou know, and since they do have
Daryl Dixon and they we do haveDead City, it's not like, you
know, because we do know thatsomeone arrived, you know, according to
the UH the CV when when Carolwas trying to talk to Alexandria and it

(48:31):
kept cutting out, Someone's arrived.Mm hmm. Maybe it's Rick. Maybe,
you know, we talked about itmight be Morgan. It could be
Rick, you know, but atthat point, you know, again,
if Rick and Micheone wanted to showup, pop up over it, you
know, Dead City, they could, Yeah, they could, you know,

(48:54):
if if they wanted to be theyou know, a flashback over to
the US while Carol and Darryl aredoing something over in France, they could
do that. But you know,I don't think. But again, since
they're not reviving The Walking Dead unlessI mean, there's really no point in

(49:15):
having another season. I feel likethis is the end. The final episode
is called the last Time. Iwant this to be the end. I
feel like, yes, they aren'tsaying watch the last ever episode, they're
not saying those things, but theydon't need to. I don't think right

(49:37):
this can be the end. Andyou know what, there is more room
for these kids to grow up andshow up in these other places. R
Jay and Judith both and guess what, they could talk about their parents all
day and we never have to seethem exactly. I can't believe these two
actors would want to continue in thisworld like they left. It was pulling

(50:01):
teeth to get them back here, right, And if they want to do
an occasional cameo and some other show, great, Yeah, but yeah,
I don't Again, I don't seeanother season because if they have another season,
they can't. They won't go homeat the end of this one,

(50:22):
and that means that we won't.All of next season is just going to
be, like I said, GuerrillaWarfare. Yeah, we're not gonna get
the satisfaction at the end of thisthat we were pretty much promised, right,
And I feel like Deny and Andrewwill not leave the audience hanging like

(50:43):
that. That's why I think there'sgonna be a clear line in the sand.
This is the end. Yeah,And I'm okay with that. Yeah,
me too. I just wish peoplewould stop, like and again,
they haven't announced either or they're kindof just being quiet about it, so
I guess anything could technically happen. But I feel like the fans need to

(51:07):
just appreciate the art, you knowwhat I mean, Like, stop begging
for more. It's not going tobe like it is this season. Stop
being so greedy. Sit down.Well and again, I mean, it's
not as if we don't have otherWalking Dead things that we can watch mm
hm so and well, none ofthem have so far raised to this level.

(51:32):
They have not you know, it'sstill there and we both know that
they're not bringing back the entire castof The Walking Dead to continue on this
show. They are not. Yeah, and as much as I love Ricky
Mashone, I really don't want anotherfull season of just the two of them.

(51:54):
No, I think I'd like theirchemistry. If they gave it to
us, I think I would happilywatch it, But it would be again
knowing that it's just not going tobe the magic of the first season.
It's not You're not gonna hit youknow. Let these characters not necessarily have

(52:16):
a happy ending. But I meanthey gave you know, on The Walking
Dead, they gave everyone kind ofthis nice little goodbye. Let's do the
same thing. Let's give Rick andMichone that nice like a reprieve, give
them like a happy for now ending. Exactly. Yeah, they owe it

(52:37):
to us. We deserve one, that's right, you know, Rick and
Maschone deserved to have that reunion withtheir kids. They do like this has
been a long journey, you know, And we know originally they've wanted to
do what three movies. They weren'teven thinking about a TV show originally,

(52:57):
So this was supposed to be athree movie thing, and it was gonna
be done so I think that they'regonna stick with the plan and it's gonna
be one and done. I hopeso. And I hope everyone is cool
with it, because I'm telling youeveryone's loving it. Like, I don't
hear anyone complaining about this season. No, I'm not complaining about this season.
You're not complaining about it. Weknow this is so rare. It's

(53:22):
so rare. It's like, let'sfreeze this moment in time and let's just
enjoy it, guys. Let's yeah, you know, and if there is
not another second season, let itgo, let it go. And that's
another thing I love about, likegood plotting. I like, I've said
this before on the podcast. Ido like a beginning, a middle,
end, and end. I likeit because that means you're working with purpose,

(53:46):
writing with purpose, and it's justnot flailing and we're not, you
know, pulling shit out fit hereto make things work, and it just
starts getting really sloppy. You're thewalking down. Yeah, yeah, it
gets real sloppy. And I don'twant that. I don't want this wonderful,

(54:06):
this wonderful season, this wonderful storyto just be wasted, be newt
yeah you know, yeah, Okay, So last thing I wanted to bring
up and please tell me if I'mthe only one who felt this way,
but the scene, the scene feltreally awkward to me. I'm like,

(54:32):
why do they seem like a littleawkward? What's that face he's making?
What's this? I felt like laughinga little bit. I don't know why
in that moment, I was kindof like, this is a little this
one scene is a little teeny bitcringe. Was it just me? I

(54:55):
don't know what scene? Wasn't thesex scene, the the the scene,
oh the scene. Okay, thatwasn't really a full on scene, but
you know, it just seemed alittle I don't know something. I was
like, yeah it was awkward, but okay, they've been apart for seven

(55:20):
years, all right, it's gonnabe awkward. Yeah. Apparently, so
they're almost like strangers. Apparently sobecause that's what it seemed like. You
know, it's anyone who's ever hada soldier deployed and come home, that's

(55:43):
you're awkward for a little bit.You just are because it's when people are
apart, you change, you grow, you've become different people. And while
that feeling is still there, themechanics, just like the fighting, right,
Yeah, exactly, it's kind ofoff. It's a little off.
You have to get back into youknow, you have to get back into

(56:04):
your rhythm. So yeah, Ihonestly I didn't The awkwardness made sense to
me. Yeah, it did makesense, but I still kind of was
like, ooh, I don't know, just something about it. I almost
wonder if we even needed it.But that was, like, I guess,
my one critique because everything else wasjust so smooth and just so awesome,

(56:30):
and then that one little thing kindof made my eye twitch a little.
I mean, if you think aboutit, sex straight up is just
awkward. It's giddy, you know, it's one of the I mean it's
it's when you're your most vulnerable, you know. And and and these are
two strangers who love each other tryingto reconnect. Yeah. I mean what

(56:52):
you're saying is true, and Iunderstand it. It's totally fair, but
I still, eh, but everythingelse Chef's kiss like, no problems.
All right? Yeah, Wow,that was good. I think we're done.
What do you think, Lisa,I think we're done. Yeah,

(57:13):
that was a really good time. You guys, thanks for listening to the
