True with the ride with JMV on ninety three five
and one oh seven five, the fan man, you know.
Speaker 2 (00:58):
Jcadness on Target I have. I've been to this place
so many times just to hang out. Like we're outside
right now off of College Avenue. All the traffic is
what I love to when we go on a very
busy thoroughfare like.
Speaker 4 (01:11):
College is both north and south right here.
Speaker 2 (01:14):
If you drive it on College and you drive by,
Binkley's honked the horn, let us know that you're there.
Speaker 3 (01:21):
But no, I've been.
Speaker 2 (01:22):
Here so many times before, but I've never done a
live show here and then when I saw this on
the bud Light Blue Friday schedule, I got really excited
about it. We are at Binkley's. I want to make
sure I get this right. Restaurant in Kitchen. I just
always just say Binkley's, But it is Binkley's restaurant. Yeah,
(01:43):
kitchen and mar I want to make sure I get
that right.
Speaker 3 (01:45):
Courtney.
Speaker 4 (01:46):
Courtney's going to join me. She is the owner.
Speaker 2 (01:48):
A couple of different times early in the show, and
then later on in the show we're going to.
Speaker 4 (01:52):
Talk about it. But yeah, it is Binkley's.
Speaker 2 (01:56):
This has historically speaking been one of the eight places
here in Indianapolis and Central Indiana. And finally we are
making our mark doing a live show here. And really,
for you guys, it's fantastic. It's very centralized right off
of College. But we have Raiders Colts tickets to give away.
(02:17):
And not only do we have Raiders Colts tickets to
give away, but you may coax me into getting into
the bullseyeeventgroup dot Com, Colts vip to gate to Boot
coming up on Sunday pregame. You just never know.
Speaker 4 (02:33):
You never know.
Speaker 2 (02:34):
But the ice cold bud Light is flowing me and
my Mamy. Make sure I got mine in the glass.
Harley D is riding Shotgun with me right now, he's
got his. We have Raiders Colts tickets to give away.
We have a free gear to give away. If you
don't have the bud Light Blue Friday with JMVT shirts yet,
you've got to get yourself one.
Speaker 4 (02:55):
I hate to like mess this up because Harley D.
Speaker 2 (02:58):
Harley must have worked with the Gap before, because you
folded up like you worked at the Gap once upon
a time right there. But if you guys haven't seen
this yet, this is and I'm showing this on the
Triple A Membership Lounge via YouTube live. This is the
bud Light Blue Friday with jmv T shirt while they last.
(03:18):
What do you think right there, Sianas that look good?
Thank you very much. We have those to give away.
We also have the Football Toss game which is outside
right off of College. What a great spot to be
on this Friday, this bud Light Blue Friday with our
friends from Zinc, bud Light and ninety three to five
(03:40):
and one oh seven five the fan. I it's funny.
So I was listening to Kevin Aulm with Jake a
little bit early when I was coming up here and
we were talking about Alec Pierce. But they were talking
about Alec Pierce and he has been ruled out. Apparently
he was going through the week, had practiced for a
couple of days and then head back pedal a little
(04:00):
bit in concussion protocol and has been ruled out. And
as a bummer for Sunday, It's weird how this dynamic
is going to go. And I think last night was
a bit of a precursor or a tailtale sign to
what I'm going to get at in just a second.
But no week in the NFL is easy, and everybody
(04:25):
kind of takes that as you know what, that's just
what everybody says. But now with a week to week
basis type of thing, that is absolutely true and you
want to be at your best. That's one thing so far,
you know, even with Kenny Moore the second being ruled out,
missing his second consecutive week. I mean, normally we're talking
(04:48):
about quarterbacks and massive injuries right now, but these so
far off to a three and one start, these have
been injuries that you've been able to navigate.
Speaker 4 (05:00):
Let's face it, this.
Speaker 2 (05:01):
Team could be four and oh now this team also
could be even by virtue of the Denver game, but
they could be four. And oh if you yourselves handle
situations better than you did back on Sunday in Southern California,
whether it's a Dye Mitchell or lou An Arumo or
now the retired Xavan Howard, and I realized that the
(05:24):
secondary has injuries that you have to deal with. But
the one thing we're not talking about. And even with
the two interceptions last week, and what a lot of
people thought, well, you know, that's Daniel Jones coming back
down to Earth. I didn't feel that way, Like I
didn't feel that there was any question about what he
was still going to be capable of doing.
Speaker 4 (05:47):
I think with Daniel Jones it.
Speaker 2 (05:49):
Is about his talent and about how he's being utilized
in this system that makes him work. So I didn't
take his two interceptions in that game in LA last
week as well. Here we go.
Speaker 4 (06:03):
Now we're going.
Speaker 2 (06:04):
To revisit Daniel Jones for five out of the six
seasons while he was a member of the New York Giants.
I'm not concerned about that. What I am concerned about
with Alec Pierce is not even so much his missing
on Sunday again for the second consecutive week. But it's
the back pedaling with concussion protocol, and that is what
(06:28):
worries me because he's been down this path before, and
I think that we have realized That's one thing we
realized on Sunday, did we not?
Speaker 4 (06:37):
When ad Mitchell was out there.
Speaker 2 (06:38):
Man, he made a great catch and a great play
and moved around and then completely blanked everything up at
the end. But the one thing I worry about is
Daniel Jones is better with that over the top threat.
And what you're going to say is, well, he doesn't
have it over the top arm While that is true,
(06:58):
you were a guy like Alec Pierce can throw it
over the top still feel comfortable in doing so and
knowing that dude's going to go up and get it.
That concerns me.
Speaker 4 (07:11):
Now.
Speaker 2 (07:11):
I still think that the guy running the football at
the highest clip in the NFL so far this season,
Jonathan Taylor, is going to be able to get his
I still think.
Speaker 4 (07:23):
And we saw Michael Pittman Junior out.
Speaker 2 (07:25):
There hopefully at say okay, like people are asking me
and believe me. We harped on this earlier this week
regarding a d Mitchell and that question was asked as
Shane Steichen earlier today, is ad Mitchell going to be
participating and he says that's something. I think the quote
was something they're trying to work through. It really doesn't matter,
you know. What matters. The guys that normally do it
(07:46):
are there to do it. And that is the thing
that I point the finger at is without Alec Pierce,
that does take away a piece of what has made
Daniel Jones and his renaissance season of twenty twenty five
so far. That's what it's made it so productive, or
(08:08):
at least that is a big piece of it. And
without that, and then the fact that Alec Pierce has
now got multiple concussion situations, that to me is a
bit troublesome. So I'm not suggesting the Colts are going
to lose this weekend. I'm not suggesting the difference between
when and losing is whether or not Alec Pierce plays.
(08:31):
But we saw this last week without Alec Pierce and
without somebody where you can throw. Daniel Jones again does
not have the arm strength to go down the field
like other quarterbacks do, but he is able to do
it when Alec Pearce is in the game, and that
had been so far a weapon for the Colts offensively
that they will be without again coming up on Sunday,
(08:54):
and I don't like that, and I don't like the
combination of that with the fact that Alec Pierce has
been down this particular concussion path before. So that's something
we'll talk about over the course of the afternoon.
Speaker 4 (09:09):
Joel a Ericson of the Star is going to join us.
Speaker 2 (09:11):
He was out with us yesterday at Parks Place, plub
We were in Fishers on our Larcenity bourbon locks and
Luno Zuel tequila shots. Thursday he will rejoin I will
tell you this. Chris Hagen, who normally is here every Friday,
cannot be here. He's got some family stuff to deal
with today. Shout out to Hagen and his fans certainly.
And Hagen will rejoin us coming up next week. But
(09:32):
it's going to be me, I think, Greg, thank you
very much for that. Right back at you.
Speaker 4 (09:39):
Greg.
Speaker 2 (09:40):
Raikstraw, who lives around the corner here in Broad Rubble,
is going to join us, I think before he embarks
upon his LN Warren Central game coming up later on
this evening. As well, Bob Lovell of Indiana Sports Talk.
Eddie Garrison is the host of Sports Talk later off tonight,
but Bob Lovell still will join us. Coming up at
the bottom of the hour as we go over yet
another week of high school football for you. We are
(10:02):
a little over a week away from the pairing show
of high school football. I know this to be true.
It is a homecoming weekend down at Sina Grove. We're
getting to that point of the season where you kind
of are who you are.
Speaker 4 (10:17):
Before the start of the postseason.
Speaker 2 (10:19):
So Indiana Sports Talk and our good friend Bob Lovell
joins us. Coming up at the bottom of the hour.
Joel a Erikson of The Star Coming up in the
four o'clock hour. Voice of the Hoosiers, Don Fisher joins us, Yeah,
what's up coming up in.
Speaker 4 (10:33):
The five o'clock hour. I do want to talk with
Don about this.
Speaker 2 (10:36):
I know the Hoosiers are off this weekend, they're on
the road in Eugene, Oregon, and what is going to
be the most tremendous tests since a year ago coming
up next Saturday.
Speaker 4 (10:46):
But I didn't want to give a shout out.
Speaker 2 (10:48):
And this is why I love a place like Binkley's
where I am today because where I'm from down around Bloomington,
you have, because of IU, some glorious establishments.
Speaker 4 (10:58):
And I don't know if you guys saw the video,
but they put.
Speaker 2 (11:02):
On the basketball on Kirkwood thing last night, and we're
actually gonna be in Bloomington coming up in November at
Upstairs Pub and that's where this was happening on Kirkwood,
between Upstairs and Nick's, and I kind of had wondered
how that was going to go. We talked to Jeff
Rabjohn's about it, and I kind of wondered how that
(11:23):
was going to go.
Speaker 4 (11:24):
But from the video it looked out standy.
Speaker 2 (11:27):
You had Trent Cecily, the freshman coming in who formerly
was from Heritage Hills, like with the shot that was
from the balcony across the street on Kirkwood, and they
had basketball going on. I think Wilkerson was shooting threes
and Darren Devrees the ultimate move and this is you're
(11:48):
ultimately gonna have to win games and you're gonna have
to be good. I mean, it's I you basketball, like
we know that over the years, everybody's sick and tired
of it being sick and tired here recently, derees. What
he did was so savvy. He bought for the bar.
He like bought a round for the That's what you
do when you want to endear yourself to the crowd,
(12:11):
like what we do on a bud Light blue Friday.
Speaker 4 (12:13):
Right, you come out, you give away stuff.
Speaker 2 (12:14):
When you want to endure yourself uh to the crowd, Uh,
what you do is you buy.
Speaker 4 (12:19):
Around for the bar.
Speaker 2 (12:20):
And I saw that yesterday with a video from last
night down in Bloomington that was awesome. Clearly Don Fisher
was not a part of that, but we'll talk about
that a little bit in how again you see Darren
Derays trying to endare him with the EU Faithful before
you even shoot a jump shot for real? As a
first year head coach of the basketball Hoosiers, Don Fisher
(12:42):
Voice of the Hoosiers on what is a bye week
for IU is going to join us?
Speaker 4 (12:47):
Coming up in the five.
Speaker 2 (12:48):
O'clock hour meantime two three nine ten seven. If you
guys want to jump on board, you can inside our
text line. That is easy three one seven two three
nine ten seventy for any of your thoughts. I'd mentioned
this a little bit earlier. The Niners of the Rams
last night kind of felt to me like a cautionary
(13:08):
tale for the Colts coming up on Sunday, because you
had a team that was down and out. You had
the Niners without their starting quarterback with Mac Jones he
was in under center. You're on the road in southern California.
I mean, you had the Rams riding high after a win,
and you had an eight and a half point spread,
(13:30):
and my dumbass ended up taking the Rams last night,
and the Rams not only did not cover that spread,
but they lost the game in overtime to the Niners.
And they lost a game through just a number of
mistakes that that team didn't make a week ago, like
a lot of the stuff that they did. Much like
(13:50):
we think about the Colts and how they lost in
La last week. A lot of the reasons why the
Rams lost night last night was because they did it
to themselves.
Speaker 4 (14:02):
And that's what you watch out for.
Speaker 2 (14:04):
You have a team coming from Vegas if the Colts
on Sunday, and a team that really, what's up, buddy,
good to see you, a team that really doesn't have
much of an idea of its identity right now.
Speaker 4 (14:16):
They got off to a great start.
Speaker 2 (14:18):
Geno Smith and Foxborough on week number one was outstanding.
And then since that point in time, they've been scuffling,
and they have been scuffling with Geno Smith under center,
they had been scuffling at least until last week on
how appropriately enough to utilize their top six running back
(14:38):
selection of the first round of the NFL Draft in genty.
Now last week they utilized him heavily, But they had
been kind of I mentioned this a little bit earlier
this week to Kirk Morrison, their radio analyst and their
former player who was on the show. I'd said he'd
kind of had training wheels on up until last week,
and then Chip Kelly and Pete Carroll turned him loose
(15:01):
a little bit more so, the offense has been incredibly disjointed,
and then the special teams. And if there's one thing
that the Colts know to be true with the Raiders
over the years, and there are many matchups, is it
has come down to special teams. And the special teams
was the reason why they ended up losing that game.
(15:23):
If you watch it against the Bears on Sunday, and
it seems a little bit disjointed right now. So what
I'm saying is if you're the home team and you're
coming off a loss, you're coming off a disappointing first
loss of the season in the game that you can
make a serious argument that you should have won. But
(15:44):
this is not one where you go back to back
in home dates that you should feel confident or comfortable
about and confident about winning. You know, you get the
Raiders this week, as you get the Cardinals nex next week,
you should feel really confident about that. You got to
make sure you take care of this. And what I
mean by taking care of this is you got to
take care of the stuff that you did in last week.
(16:07):
This can be self induced, these types of losses, and
you saw the Rams do that last night against the
Giants team that looked really good through the air with
Mac Jones and basically everybody else has written them off.
That spread was eight and a half points. The Colts
are seven point favorites. Mike Chapel and I had this
conversation yesterday. Hell, I can't remember a time and it
(16:28):
probably has happened, but when was the last time the
Colts were seven point favorites.
Speaker 4 (16:34):
Seems like a long time ago.
Speaker 2 (16:36):
So take care of what you can take care of
that is on Sunday against the Raiders team that they
may look ripe right now, like the Niners did last.
Speaker 4 (16:49):
Night on Thursday Night Football.
Speaker 2 (16:52):
They may look ripe, but looks can be deceiving if
you do it to yourself. We saw that last week.
We don't need a mirror image coming up on Sunday.
Speaking of Sunday, Bullseyeventgroup dot Com, the Colts VIP Tailgate
presented by Hazen Sun's Restoration. That is where we start,
(17:13):
coming up at nine am. That's an hour before the
doors open. I've got more passes to give away here
over the course of the afternoon as well.
Speaker 4 (17:21):
For the Bullseye Events Center.
Speaker 2 (17:22):
There's going to be a fun time and it always
is the best start to your game day experience with
Bullseye and then the Colts pregame huddle, we get you started.
Coming up on Sunday at ten am, American Family Insurance
Touchdown Town with me and Joe Wrights and Bill Brooks
and Casey Value and back to back to back segments
with our good friend Rick Venturi by the way too.
I think Rick next week will join us at some point.
(17:46):
I haven't figured it out. Yet because I've got some
oddness for next week. I'll explain that to you in
just a second, But I don't know exactly what date,
but I know he wants to come on and look
back to basically the first month of the season. We'll
do that. But on Sunday we go back to back
to back with Rick Venturi and we have similar thoughts
(18:07):
about that Rams game and in turn what to think
about against the Raiders coming up on Sunday with the Colts.
All right, the rest of the weekend, the college football weekend,
Illinois and Purdue, Boise State and Notre Dame. A lot
of local stuff going on too. We'll get to that
and another week Friday night high school football. To Bob Level,
(18:28):
I'm going to join us coming up at the top
of the hour. Our good friend Eddie Garrison is doing
Indiana Sports Talk both tomorrow and tonight, so you can
check that out. Indiana Sports Talk with Eddie Garris and
Bob Lovell is out this weekend, but Bob's gonna join us.
Speaker 4 (18:43):
Coming up as usual. On the other side, Joel A.
Speaker 2 (18:47):
Eericson of the Star Alec Pierce and his concussion protocol regression.
We'll talk about that with Joel coming up in the
four o'clock hour, Kenny Moore is going again, and what
exactly do you think Shane Steiken means about We're working
through this, just like the second day in a row
we said, working through this regarding a d Mitchell. And
(19:10):
because you don't have Alec Pierce, does that magnify it
or is that more of a role for the veteran
Ashton Doolan.
Speaker 4 (19:18):
The other thing I want to talk about with Joel A.
Speaker 2 (19:20):
Erickson, The big point to make regarding the Raiders this
weekend is make sure you don't let Max Crosby wreck it.
Make sure that hey, listen, Jared Verse did a hell
of a job at trying to do that last week.
Max Crosby, if there's one thing that they can do
defensively that is consistent, he can wreck it. And the
(19:43):
one thing we ever talked about at great length is
how this offensive line. We talked about A d Mitchell,
we talked about lou Anarumo, we talked about ten minute.
Speaker 4 (19:51):
On the field last week that led to that loss.
Speaker 2 (19:54):
But the offensive line had their own struggles with penalties.
We'll talk about that with Joel Erickson coming up at
the top of the hour. We've got also Don Fisher,
a voice of the Hoosiers joining us. Can you guys
be with us? I think you should. We're at Bankley's.
We're on College here. Two three, nine, ten seventy is
that number? On a bud Light Blue Friday. We have
Raiders Colts tickets you can sign up for as well.
(20:16):
We have gear to give away. We have the football
toss too, and we have the place here on Indy
that has been known to want to come and hang out.
And for the first time, we're doing a show here
at Bankley's on this bud Light Blue Friday.
Speaker 4 (20:31):
Hey, James, I didn't want to tell you this.
Speaker 2 (20:33):
So one of the reasons why next week is a
little bit weird is I have taken off Tuesday and Wednesday.
My mom's birthday is on Monday, so what does g
want to do on her eightieth birthday? She wants me
to drive her ass down to Jasper, So I've got
to go down to GC and take her to Jasper
coming up on Tuesday. But I took Tuesday and Wednesday
(20:57):
off of next week and Greg Raikstraw is going to be.
Speaker 4 (20:59):
The next week. But James, this is pretty funny.
Speaker 2 (21:02):
So I got into my ADP for the first time,
right whatever that is, to kind of figure it out.
Todd or executive producer Todd Myers, said, hey, can you
go in there and can you take those two days off?
And I have, you know't how many days I have
have vacation time?
Speaker 3 (21:19):
How much do you have saved?
Speaker 4 (21:21):
Twenty four days?
Speaker 3 (21:22):
Oh my god, you could take a whole month off.
Speaker 2 (21:25):
I could take a month off. I have twenty four
days of vacation. That is wild, and it is what
twenty I could not went because I was sitting in
there with Nathaniel Finch, a friend of the show and
friend of ours, and I think it was like it
was like one hundred and selling how many hours does
that translate to twenty four days?
Speaker 4 (21:46):
I have twenty four days of vacation, and you got
to start with some of that there was zero.
Speaker 2 (21:53):
I don't even think I can get that couple down
to twenty days by the end of the year. Here,
we just got too much going on. Twenty four days
of vacation. Shout out to it right there, quick break,
what come back? It is Bob Lovell and he had
a sports talk. He's gonna be out tonight Tomorrow night
the focus with our friend Eddie Garrison. But Bob, we'll
(22:13):
talk about tonight in high school football around the area.
Wherever you're going, we'd love to hear from you, and
of course the Saturday of college football we're off college.
You've heard in the background a little honking going on.
If you're going down College where we are right now,
when you get by Binkley's, I would love for you
to stop and join us right on a bud Light
(22:35):
Blue frauday your chance at Raiders coach tickets and gear.
But if you can't stop, make sure you Hank, make
sure we know that you're listening here. Off of College,
we're outside, we are at Binkley's. Courtney, the owner of Binkley's,
gonna join us a little bit later on as well.
Stream the app HD Radio Triple A Membership Lounge via
YouTube live. Hey, what's up, hey, guys, delivering from Kroger
(22:57):
right there. Awesome Triple A Membership loudvia YouTube Live. Man,
We're gonna have a glorious Friday bud Light Blue Friday
at Bankley's and Broad Ripple with ninety three to five
and one oh seven five fan.
Speaker 3 (23:13):
The ride with JMV.
Speaker 1 (23:15):
It's like drugs Danny.
Speaker 5 (23:16):
Every game good?
Speaker 1 (23:18):
So what's problem?
Speaker 5 (23:19):
I don't know?
Speaker 3 (23:20):
Ninety three five and one oh seven five the fan?
Speaker 4 (23:25):
All right?
Speaker 2 (23:25):
For those that don't know College and Kessler. If you're
cruising by Binkley's at College in Kessler, man, hank your
horn and let me know that you're here. Let me
know that you're listening. It's kind of my version of
hank if you're horny.
Speaker 4 (23:39):
Guys? Ever, do that? Was that a singh bubba?
Speaker 2 (23:44):
I'm gonna let that breathe for a minute before I
get to our next you guess, But no, we got
a Raiders fan here right now. We got Raiders cold
stickets to give away bud Light blue Friday.
Speaker 4 (23:52):
We got a Raiders fan. Now, what's your name?
Speaker 3 (23:54):

Speaker 4 (23:55):
How long have you been a Raiders fan all your life?
Hold on?

Speaker 2 (24:05):

there you go, then you go all the way back.

That's a game wrecker right there.
Speaker 2 (25:01):
You don't have much to watch on the field, so
I just try to focus on him a little bit better.
Speaker 4 (25:04):
That is it.
Speaker 2 (25:05):
I mean, that's the guy that can really screw you up.
You're going to win, so hopefully you win some tickets
here today.
Speaker 4 (25:09):
I'm working on it. I played the football game. I
think it did pretty well. I won't hang around.
Speaker 2 (25:13):
We'll get you a nice gold bud light just the
second two brother, Yes, thank you what you go to
high school around here too?
Speaker 1 (25:18):
No, I actually winning Ava on the West side.
Speaker 2 (25:19):
Well done, Well, nice to meet you man, Thanks for
coming out here. You we got a raider fan with
a boat, Jackson Jersey on trying to win himself some
tickets me time and Andy Moore Automotive Group potline. He's
going to be absent from his post tonight and tomorrow night.
That's understanding. Boy, he's got some personal stuff going on,
some family events to attend. From Indiana Sports Talking, is
(25:42):
Bob Lovell? What in the world are we going to
do without that iconic voice tonight and tomorrow night on
Indiana Sports Talk.
Speaker 4 (25:49):
Bob, you know.
Speaker 7 (25:50):
You're you're gonna be You've traded it up if you
have any gears and so I don't.
Speaker 1 (25:53):
I don't think you have to worry John, not at all.
Speaker 2 (25:56):
No, No, you got everything absolutely co Hey, we're closing in.
Did I hear this accurately? Coming up just a little
over a week away from the pairing show? Is that true?
Speaker 7 (26:08):
The twelve You're exactly right, John, It's unbelievably arrived. It's
here and gets through this week and then next weekend
obviously Week seven or eight or whatever week it is,
and we have the pairing show in the twelve, so
it'll be it'll be fun. We always say it because
it happens, It moves quickly, and it's one of the
(26:29):
more fun nights of the year when you put the
pairings together and everybody around the States trying to figure
out who they're going to play.
Speaker 1 (26:35):
So I'm honored to again be asked to be a
part of the production.
Speaker 2 (26:40):
You have really across the board tonight, a lot of
top ten matchups, do you not in the state of India.
I know that Greg Grayshaw is going to be in
charge of one of those, with Warren and LN coming
up later on this evening in six A, we'll probably
start with that one.
Speaker 7 (26:57):
Well, that's obviously, that's a great matchup Warren Central number seven,
l N number five. One loss for Lawrence North. It's
a warrant centrating that's only lost once. Two really really
good teams obviously, and conference matchup. You're at this point
of the year where you really need to be playing well.
(27:19):
You've got a little time to correct some things that
aren't there, so it's a great place to start.
Speaker 1 (27:24):
Should be a great game.
Speaker 2 (27:26):
Yeah, Cina Grove and Cathedral Letter On. It's a homecoming
weekend at CJ. And you know Eric Moore and I
know this to be true. They are and I know
everybody does right, And that's exactly how he would state it.
They're dealing with a multitude of injuries right now and
still what's up, still looking about as good as anybody could.
Speaker 1 (27:50):
It's because the system works. I mean, look at the championships,
look at the wins.
Speaker 7 (27:54):
The system works. You have good talented players, you have
great coaches. So somebody's you plug somebody in because you
believe in the system, you believe in the process, and
they're a perfect example of how that works.
Speaker 2 (28:08):
It's a Bob Lovel of Indiana sports talk. Eddie Garrison
is in for him coming up later off tonight and
tomorrow night across all those great stations in the state
of Indiana.
Speaker 4 (28:19):
New pal has been a juggernaut for a while.
Speaker 2 (28:22):
So why I'm not breaking any new ground with an
original thought of any.
Speaker 4 (28:25):
Kind right here?
Speaker 2 (28:27):
Man, Kyle, are we up to the time when we
start comparing eras or teams with Kyle Ralph and this
one compared to others, I mean, is that something we
should start to do as far as his career is concerned,
because it feels like it's appropriate.
Speaker 1 (28:43):
It's absolutely appropriate. I mean, they are a juggernaut.
Speaker 7 (28:46):
You know, they won last year undefeated, this year ranked
number one, They've won multiple championships, have moved up in
class and still continued to have success.
Speaker 1 (28:57):
You talk about one of the.
Speaker 7 (28:59):
Most underrated programs in some respects those are in Central Indiana.
Recognounce and recognize how good they are. But they are.
They're a phenomenal story. Uh, and they're playing tremendous football.
Shelby Mille's kind of struggled out of the gate, getting
a little bit better right now. But newpal is a tall,
(29:19):
tall order for anyone.
Speaker 4 (29:22):
How about this, let's give some shout out.
Speaker 2 (29:24):
I forget which heart is not in hobstod In three A,
but Gibson.
Speaker 1 (29:31):
Derek, Yeah, that's Derek.
Speaker 2 (29:33):
Yeah, but Gibson Southern with that massive win over Heritage Hills.
I think Hells I like had an eighteen game wed
streak or something like that. That is and that's not
just Southern Indiana. That that is massive just across the
state in general.
Speaker 4 (29:50):
Right there of an accomplishment.
Speaker 7 (29:52):
Well, it is it doesn't didn't matter obviously what class
you're playing.
Speaker 1 (29:56):
And and it's a mean give some other team plays.
They don't shy with from playing anybody.
Speaker 7 (30:02):
They're they're really talented and uh, there are a lot
of wins in the in the Heart family obviously, and uh,
you know this is Nick. Nick is the coach at
Gibson Southern. They had a run to the tournament a.
Speaker 1 (30:15):
Year a couple of years ago, a year ago, and
and they.
Speaker 7 (30:18):
Are they love to throw it, they're really good at it,
and they're very very talented. And so you know, it's
a matchup tonight where you know, you talk about the
big win last night or last week again Charity Hills.
You know, Washington is a team that's uh having some
of their difficulties, but they are a team that you
(30:38):
should not be surprised if you see them playing at
Lucasoyle Stadium because they're that good.
Speaker 2 (30:44):
Well, I just kind of think about the now the
Southern Indiana football programs or the so called institutions, and
Heritage Hills has been that for a while, right. I
think you would describe in Hopscott Gibson Southern as one
of those great football programs right historically speaking now in
the state of Indiana, especially in the South, no question.
Speaker 7 (31:06):
I mean, obviously you talk a lot about Amasviel Memorial,
mszill Wrights, those kinds of schools, castles always played well.
But you clearly have to have Gibson Southern in that
mix because of the success they've had, and there's some
tremendous football, without questions, tremendous football in all those programs.
Speaker 2 (31:26):
It is Bob Lovell of Indiana Sports Talk. We've got
Purdue and Illinois. It'll be interesting to see the gauge
and the matchup with the boiler Makers and the alani
this weekend, will it?
Speaker 4 (31:39):
Now?
Speaker 2 (31:39):
I mean, I think I love the fact that Barry
Odam the fan base. You're just kind of seeing how
this thing progresses, and you want to see them run
the football much better than they certainly have so far.
But it kind of seems like that the boiler Makers
are happy and and what is this football evolution going
on in the West Lothiad right now?
Speaker 1 (32:00):
Well, I think we all.
Speaker 7 (32:01):
See John that they're clearly better than they were in
the past two or three years that they have. You
can watch them, you can tell there's some clear direction
and where they're going.
Speaker 1 (32:11):
There's a plan. Uh, they're scheme wise.
Speaker 7 (32:14):
They're solid, and their their caliber of players truly has
to improve, but it will.
Speaker 5 (32:19):
Uh.
Speaker 1 (32:20):
I think they're making great progress.
Speaker 7 (32:21):
The problem is the leave you're playing in is so
good that you may be making great progress and it
might not reflect and be reflected in.
Speaker 1 (32:29):
Wins on the board. So but I think this is
a good test for them.
Speaker 7 (32:34):
I think that you know, you've got an Illinois team
that's still smarting from that lost.
Speaker 1 (32:38):
I you and so you've got some You've got a
good team you're playing against. Without question.
Speaker 2 (32:44):
Yeah, shout out to the honker that just went by
here at College and Kessler at Bentley's our location, Bob,
we're getting a lot of honks right here, as you
can tell, Well, you're on. I want when they drive by. Yeah,
I want to read damn fast right there.
Speaker 4 (32:59):
What the hell?
Speaker 1 (33:01):
They all want to be you, John, that's the whole deal.
They love and they want.
Speaker 6 (33:06):
To be you.
Speaker 2 (33:07):
Well, I'm trying to get them to stop so they
can even I want to start their weekend with a
blast right here, Bob.
Speaker 4 (33:14):
That's kind of that's a great idea.
Speaker 7 (33:16):
I'm sure that I p d wouldn't like for you
to create some hazard, uh traffic wise by encouraging people
stop and all that.
Speaker 2 (33:24):
So I am definitely a hazard creator right here.
Speaker 4 (33:28):
There's no doubt about that. Brother. Let me tell you that. Now,
what do you got going on?
Speaker 2 (33:31):
You got a person already life event that's happening this weekend.
Speaker 7 (33:35):
Huh we have we have a wedding in the family,
step grandchildren getting married.
Speaker 4 (33:42):
So yes we are that's with.
Speaker 7 (33:45):
The family, with the family this weekend.
Speaker 1 (33:47):
Excited about it.
Speaker 7 (33:49):
These things are fun, you know if the age my
wife and I are, if these are these are all
fun things on funny vents.
Speaker 1 (33:55):
And you know, being the scene.
Speaker 8 (33:56):
Bob.
Speaker 2 (33:58):
Hank, if you are proud of Bob Level's wedding weekend
right here, give us a honk right here.
Speaker 4 (34:05):

you go in the air, which never do, but you could.
Speaker 2 (35:04):
Unfortunately, it takes me at fifty five. It takes me
at fifty five doing all these shows. It takes me
a lot of lubrication. I need a lot of lubricant anymore.
Speaker 1 (35:13):
I understand that.
Speaker 7 (35:14):
I mean, you know I've told you to stop working
so hard, so do that.
Speaker 2 (35:20):
Hey, congratulations, buddy. We're really happy for you. Okay, and
we will miss you this weekend, but Eric Eddie Garrison

the equivalent of the redneck day you guys ever do
that back in the day, the honk of your horny
kind of thing. That's kind of what we got going
on here College and Kessler at Binkley's. But there is
(36:10):
a legitimate reason for you to stop. For one, we're
talking about an institution here at Binkley's, which is awesome.
But the other is we have Raiders Colts tickets to
give away on a bud Light Blue Friday with our
friends from Zinc and Gear to give away too while

just reminded me, Hello, Glenn, that's Courtney's voice, the lovely.
Speaker 4 (37:40):
Courtney who was the owner of Binkley's.
Speaker 2 (37:43):
Glenn Bell reminded me of what I used to do
TV for the Finals and Stard was always always historically
a part of the Finals and some of my conversations
going off the field with former coach Vince Lorenzano, which
was always good influenza. I'd never been looked at before
when I asked a question of somebody like I was
(38:05):
a bigger dumbass than when Vince Lorenzano looked at me.
Speaker 3 (38:08):
Before he answered.
Speaker 4 (38:10):
Go on a minute.
Speaker 2 (38:11):
I asked the complete wrong question right here. But what
a great guy. And Glenn, as you mentioned, there was
nobody more old school than that guy. And that's Vince Lorenzano.
If you remember Schitard. Folks out there, just what a
tremendous dude. Hey, we're at Binkley's were on College in
Kessler and Courtney is the owner.
Speaker 4 (38:31):
Courtney, how are you?
Speaker 9 (38:32):
I am fantastic carry.
Speaker 4 (38:33):
How long have you owned Binkley's.

Speaker 2 (38:40):
How long has Binkley's been here though all the way
back to the time, like do.
Speaker 4 (38:44):
You have as.
Speaker 9 (38:46):
Originally it was pharmacy, and then it was the pawn
shot okay, and then I.
Speaker 2 (38:55):
Just know this for the greatness that it is. I
mean both outdoor and indoor. You guys got it cover
right here?
Speaker 1 (39:00):
Now?
Speaker 4 (39:00):
Is this called Sobro right here?
Speaker 3 (39:03):
Nope?
Speaker 9 (39:03):
This is actually brought uple right to this intersection.
Speaker 4 (39:07):
Wouldn't they help so Bro? People say Sobro.
Speaker 9 (39:09):
All everything South?
Speaker 4 (39:11):
Okay?
Speaker 2 (39:12):
Basically so Bro South brought up Well this this is
an awesome place. So what got you interested in wanting
to own Binkley's. I had to make sure you had
shows like this show.
Speaker 4 (39:24):
Up on a Friday.
Speaker 9 (39:25):
Exactly why I didn't have.
Speaker 2 (39:26):
People on college for everybody to talk sports and be
fool ass ship let's have the right guy.
Speaker 9 (39:32):
Yeah, no, I've been on this corner. I worked across
the street for years, Okay. I ended up coming over
here right across the street and buying this.
Speaker 4 (39:40):
All right, So what do you guys do?
Speaker 2 (39:42):
I got great food obviously, TVs everywhere, TVs everywhere, which.
Speaker 4 (39:46):
You got going on this weekend? Anything in particular you
want to prop up?
Speaker 9 (39:49):
You know, we have the Steelers. The Steelers come in
and they really pump us up.
Speaker 2 (39:53):
Well, that's there's a background there. And for those out
there that remember nickel Plate, yes, and it's interesting because
I was just at Parks Place yesterday, which is nickel
Plate District and Fisher's.
Speaker 4 (40:04):
Yes, I was just there yesterday. This is a Steeler's
place too, right it is.
Speaker 9 (40:09):
When I bought it. I did not know that, but
I came in and they came prepared and they came heavy.
Speaker 4 (40:15):
Do they all love Aaron Rodgers or not? Hey, what's up?
Speaker 9 (40:20):
I think you know?
Speaker 3 (40:21):
Yeah, I'll say yes.
Speaker 4 (40:22):
Are they okay? Well good?
Speaker 9 (40:23):
Some may disagree with the ones that come into So

that is Vince Larenzano.
Speaker 4 (40:43):
Seriously, I've never had anybody answer a question.
Speaker 2 (40:45):
I've asked before like you are the biggest dumb ass
I've ever talked to in my life.
Speaker 3 (40:50):
Than Vince Winson.
Speaker 4 (40:53):
So and I had that brown supermoer.
Speaker 2 (40:54):
That brown is the only suit I had at the time,
some brown suit.
Speaker 4 (40:57):
I got a j Z penny.
Speaker 2 (40:59):
This is awful. So but those are those are great days, Yes,
a great days.
Speaker 4 (41:03):
Greg.
Speaker 2 (41:03):
Gregshraw, by the way, has just showed up. He's going
to join us in a second as well. So all right,
the most popular food item on the menu, Cordney, what
is it?
Speaker 9 (41:13):
I would go with our pizza or our wings. I
really I believe that I can pretty much go up
against anybody with anybody.
Speaker 4 (41:21):
Courtney's going to go up against anybody right there.
Speaker 9 (41:23):

Speaker 4 (41:24):

Speaker 10 (43:24):
The Rat who joins us. Now you are in my
neck of the woods. Welcome to Broad Ripple Man.
Speaker 4 (43:28):
This is great.
Speaker 3 (43:29):
This is an awesome place.
Speaker 10 (43:31):
This was named after like the old like hardware store
slash pharmacy that was here decades ago. This was like
originally the pawnshop pub location, but for the last twenty
ish years it has been Binkley's. And again just straight
Binkleys is good enough to all the locals calls. Here's
what's funny about it.
Speaker 2 (43:47):
I've done these live shows for the better part of
twenty years plus, I've never done a live show.
Speaker 4 (43:52):
Here, which is crazy to think about. It is crazy.
Speaker 2 (43:55):
Yeah, it's a shout out to Zinc and bud Light
for having us out one Central LM later off.
Speaker 4 (44:01):
That is correct.
Speaker 10 (44:02):
So I will be heading out Kessler Plais to Glenn
Belle's Place on the way to seventy seventh and Hague.
Speaker 3 (44:07):
What I'm done with this segment of the show.
Speaker 2 (44:08):
So Glenn Bell's Place apparently is some picturesque.
Speaker 10 (44:12):
So it is a farmhouse that dates back to the
eighteen eighties. So since I have now lived here for
twenty plus years in this neighborhood, this was the outer
loop of town at about nineteen thirty so most of
the houses that are around here, obviously some have been
refurbished and redone. But for example, the house that I
had when I first moved up here in three was
(44:33):
built in nineteen twenty. The house that I live in now,
which is four or five blocks as I'm making a
site gag on radio pointing in the opposite direction, was
built in nineteen thirty nine. His house that has like
the old like what I would call the carriage posts
on the edge where you like the horses would have
been covered when you pull them up to the side
of the house. That house is one hundred and forty
(44:53):
years old, was built in the eighteen eighties. Wow, so
that was like the original farm houseitter because you'll hear
occasionally people as you go like east of Kessler and
you get to like Keystone or Allisonville Road that like, yeah,
one point in time, Allisonville Road was like a gravel
road north of Kesler, like as like back in the fifties, right,
(45:13):
So yeah, so this is, uh, you imagine the old
school part of town here.
Speaker 2 (45:17):
So Greg Graankstrow is gonna hang with us as well
on the Andy Morot a butt off group potline.
Speaker 4 (45:21):
You heard of me yesterday he let off the show
What's Up?
Speaker 2 (45:25):
Because I was trying to be the bad influence from
the star Joel A. Erickson And and what what we
like to do is have him on with Chris Hagen.
I'm Fox fifty nine, what's Up, buddy, because we are
promoting first in Joel. But I know Chris has got
some family things going on right now, Joel, So there's
no Chris.
Speaker 4 (45:45):
It's just us.
Speaker 2 (45:45):
But I just want to thank you for being a
part of our Parks Place pub broadcast yesterday. So is
this something where you can see yourself coming out often?
Speaker 4 (45:54):
Now?
Speaker 6 (45:54):
Because of that, I've told you before. If you are
in my neck of the which is up in Fishers,
and I don't have a practice or a game or
something else kim related to get to. Yeah, I could
make it appear.
Speaker 10 (46:11):
What time is the Brewers first pitch on Sunday? How
big of a conflict are you going to have doing
the day job in covering coltson Raiders on Sunday afternoon?
Speaker 6 (46:20):
They do not play. They do not play on Sunday.
There's a break. They play Saturdays and then they play Monday.
So I have a break now. I will say this
tomorrow for Game one, my son is supposed to be
playing baseball at three and first diges at two eight,
So I will be watching double baseball on my phone.
Speaker 2 (46:44):
Wow, double baseball on the phone and watching the sun. Now,
what did you think about the live show yesterday? Is
that something you can do? Can you have cocktails or
beers for example, like today and then give us the
cults information that everybody desires on this show?
Speaker 6 (47:02):
Yeah? Yeah, I can do that. Yeah, that's no problem.
Speaker 2 (47:06):
Yeah, let's see maybe I'm not going to be the
bad influence that I thought of. This think you fit
in quite well. I think you do every Friday right
here makes a lot of sense. But no, seriously, it
was awesome to have you out there with us yesterday
and we certainly appreciate that.
Speaker 4 (47:20):
Let's let's go here.
Speaker 2 (47:22):
The Alec Pierce thing concerns me because it was a backpedal.
Speaker 4 (47:27):
It looked like that.
Speaker 2 (47:28):
He was, you know, moving toward being able to participate.
Speaker 4 (47:33):
He has now been ruled out and there's a history.
Speaker 2 (47:36):
There is there a level of concern from your angle
regarding the Cults wide receiver.
Speaker 6 (47:43):
I think there is, but he mostly has to do
with the fact that his third concussion in four years.
I think that's what's driving it for me. We have
had it in the past where a guy kind of
set back. Michael Pittman Junior when Demonte Case took that
unfounded shot a couple of years ago, had the same
thing where he got back and he got to the
(48:04):
last step in in the concussion protocol and had to
go back. So that that is actually not as surprising
in today's day and age as maybe it would seem.
But three concussions in four years. It's in a concern
no matter what.
Speaker 3 (48:21):
So how now does that change?
Speaker 10 (48:23):
Because we kind of went into the week said all right,
what is a d Mitchell's role as going to what's
it going to be if there's no Alec Pierce, you
frankly have to have a d Mitchell. How does his
Sunday change now that Alec Peerce is not playing well?
Speaker 6 (48:37):
I think you know your option is to kind of
go with Ashton doing there if you're if you don't
want to emphasize Mitchell as much. Mitchell has been that
backup at the ex receiver. Uh, you know, shanezikens of
working through that.
Speaker 1 (48:52):
You could bring maybe somebody up from the practice squad.
Speaker 6 (48:55):
But you also there are four guys on the injury
re fort today who are out, so that might be
there might be some issues there too. So it's gonna
be interesting to see what they do with a D.
Mitchell Because again James Taking has held off. I'm saying
he's backing in the same role all week, even even
including to day after saying Pierce was out.
Speaker 2 (49:16):
Well, it's he's kind of the same thing when been
asked this week, it's it's weird. I mean, I would
expect Ashton Doolan, as we've talked about, to have more
of a significant role than anything on Sunday. But I
will say this, the whole Pierce angle here does kind
of throw a wrench into things, does it not.
Speaker 6 (49:38):
Yeah? Absolutely, Perce. Perce was playing really good football through
the first three games, not just as a defall receiver,
but as somebody they were using to move the chains.
You got good chemistry, Jones.
Speaker 11 (49:51):
It does alter it a little bit, especially if it
doesn't sound like the culture concerned about Michael Pitton's hamstring.
Speaker 6 (49:57):
But you know it's still a hamstring. So uh, they
could be a little state wide receiver.
Speaker 4 (50:05):
So Joe A.
Speaker 2 (50:05):
Erickson of the Stars and the Andy Moore Automotive Group
hotline Bankley's on a bud light blue Friday. We are
at College in Kessler, Hank. If you're going by, we
would love to hear from me, but we would love
also for you to stop.
Speaker 4 (50:18):
I mentioned this about Alec Pierce a little bit earlier.
Speaker 2 (50:20):
He I think provides an aspect for Daniel Jones that
we have witnessed so far. Is one of the reasons
why Daniel Jones has been so good. Because we questioned
the deep mark the deep ball capabilities of Jones, But
with Pierce, you could throw up up there and he
will go get it.
Speaker 4 (50:38):
And we have seen that so far, and that, you.
Speaker 2 (50:42):
Know again, I think Ady Mitchell could be that if
they trusted him to be able to do it.
Speaker 6 (50:51):
Yeah, I thought about that. I thought about that on
the first interception the other day. That's the kind of
play that Alec Pearson. He doesn't catch the ball, found
a way to get it. Fans in there and make
sure it's not an interception. I did find myself wondering,
you know, after. I think some fans you know, kind
of set it out on social media, like if it's
that's Pierson there is that an interception or is it
(51:13):
just an incomplete pass. I think that's possible. We haven't
really seen Mitchell to this point. Mate sort of the
the jump ball contested catch type of play that Pierce
makes pretty regularly. And I do think that that changes
the deep ball a little bit. Where he's got to
he's got to have it where it's one on one.
He's got to have it where the receivers can run
(51:34):
under it, more so than the jump ball. Now, I
will say this, if you get Michael Pittman.
Speaker 1 (51:38):
In that situation.
Speaker 6 (51:40):
It's been a while since he did it, but he
did have a lot of jump ball catches like that
in twenty twenty one in the first.
Speaker 1 (51:46):
Half of the season.
Speaker 6 (51:47):
I think he's got the size and the want to
go get it.
Speaker 8 (51:50):
It's just kidding.
Speaker 10 (51:51):
You get him beat down the field independently of Ady
Mitchell status. I am someone that would like to see
Ashton Doolan get reward for what he does, Like I
love that Jets sweep like I'd like to see like
that almost.
Speaker 3 (52:04):
Like once a half for him.
Speaker 10 (52:06):
I'm all forgetting Dooling more playing time, even not as
some sort of penalty to a d Mitchell.
Speaker 6 (52:12):
Your thoughts on that, well, I I like Dolan, I
like Dulan kind of giving a change up in the
running game, just because so much of what they do
is pretty much just the Jonathan Taylor game.
Speaker 1 (52:22):
They don't really use the change of pay facts.
Speaker 6 (52:24):
They haven't really used Daniel Jones receiving wise. I think
you mix them in there just just because you don't
want them to think every time Doolan's out there that
they're blocking. But you know, Ashton Doolan, if you put
him in the game on the fifty three yard Johnthan
Taylor touchdown run. That we might be talking about a
four and o cold team because that touchdown stands if
(52:46):
he's in the game. But you don't want you probably
don't want them to assume, Okay, we're automatically running. If
Dulan's in the game, I think you got to give
him a few more throws so that they don't have
those tendencies to go. Oh, they they've got Doolan in,
They've got probably going to run this.
Speaker 3 (53:02):
Joe A.
Speaker 2 (53:03):
Erickson and the Stars. Are they anymore automotive group? Hootline?
I don't know if this is true, but it seems
like the teams have had success Joel running the football
against the Colts.
Speaker 4 (53:16):
But they always go away from it. I think we
saw it last week.
Speaker 2 (53:19):
I think we've seen it with Denver as well, having
success and then ultimately they don't stick with it or
they go away from it for whatever reason or the other.
And then we saw last week against the Bears genty
be turned loose a.
Speaker 4 (53:33):
Little bit more.
Speaker 2 (53:34):
And as I mentioned to Kurt Morrison, they're radio analysts
this week kind of taking the training wheels off. Should
that be a major concern at all with the rookie
running the football against this Colts defense.
Speaker 1 (53:47):
I think so.
Speaker 6 (53:48):
I mean, the number is the numbers that kind of
back up what you're saying is that the Colts are
our eight in rushing yardage, which sounds great, right, but
their twentieth in yards per carry, So they are giving
up more on a per carry basis. Then then it
is probably optimal and part of the reason they haven't
given him as many rushing yards as they've been up
in a.
Speaker 1 (54:08):
Lot of these games.
Speaker 6 (54:09):
Or in the chase of the Rams game, they had
a pretty much guaranteed completion on one side of the field,
so they weren't gonna go away from that. I do
think it's an issue. The one thing I will say
though with with gent is before that Bears game, they
he had really the Raiders had really struggled with getting
him holed in the in the in the running game.
He'd been hitting some absurd percentage behind the line in
(54:32):
his first three games. And and this is the biggest
to me, this is the biggest injury thing for the Raiders.
They do not have veteran left tackle Colton Miller. It's
gonna be Stone forsythe instead of him, and that's an
offensive line that I don't think he's really playing that well. Uh,
even with Miller in the lineup, let alone without him.
Speaker 10 (54:52):
How much obviously you know we're we're kind of checking
the game as it is, But how much are you
kind of following the game within the game, i e.
Last year star Ricky tight end versus this year's star
Ricky tight End Bowers versus Warren. How much are you
paying attention to that during the course of Sunday's game.
Speaker 6 (55:09):
Well, I think it's funny that. I think it's funny
that change I can said today. You know they they
kind of wanted brought Bauers to follow them last year
and uh and uh, obviously the Raiders ended up taking him.
I haven't seen yet if the Raiders have let have
put their availability out. He's been kind of dealing with
something this week and maybe he's missed some practice, But
(55:31):
I don't think they've released their their statuses yet, so
for us to know if he do a player or not.
It does seem like Bowers is banged up a little bit.
Speaker 2 (55:42):
Joey Erickson of the Star, he's on the Andy Moore
Automotive Group Potlain. He brought the point about missing a
left tackle. Joe, this is looking a little bit far ahead.
Speaker 4 (55:51):
So you go back to.
Speaker 2 (55:51):
Back with the Raiders and the Cardinals, and then you
go back to Southern California against the Chargers where they're
also missing their left tackle for the season.
Speaker 4 (56:01):
I mean, in terms of that, this is a hell
of a time for the Colts.
Speaker 2 (56:05):
I mean to all the next three games, you're going
to get him back up left tackles in a situation
to where you'd really like to see the Colts take advantage,
and a lot of that falls on the shoulders up
front of a guy like layout to lat too.
Speaker 6 (56:18):
Yeah. Absolutely.
Speaker 1 (56:19):
With the Chargers, it both tackled.
Speaker 6 (56:21):
I think because Joe all went out last week, U right,
and they already lost. They already lost for Seawan Slater,
so I think they maybe moved aft over. But whatever
you want to look at, they've lost their two starting tackles.
So you're looking at a couple of lines in a
row here where you should be able to make some
hay And I think I think if you go back
and watch that Rams game, I know there stacked Stafford
(56:43):
only three times, but really I felt like that game
was more about the lack of coverage than it was
a lack of pass rush, and Lato really did a
good job in that game. I think now you want
to see him stacked at a couple of times in
a row where he's playing like that over and over again,
taking advantage of these tackles and really setting up himself
(57:05):
as somebody that defenses or that offenses have to pay
attention to and maybe get some double teams or so
any kind of attention away from the forest button.
Speaker 3 (57:14):
Joel, what was your score on the grid today?
Speaker 6 (57:17):
I didn't do it. I have not done it today,
all right?
Speaker 4 (57:22):
What we're talking about, Johnny exactly?
Speaker 9 (57:23):
Yeah?
Speaker 10 (57:24):
Are you are? Do you play that on a regular basis?
Is that for a different level of nerd than.
Speaker 4 (57:28):
You I have.
Speaker 6 (57:30):
I have gotten away from it a little bit. If
I do play it, I will only play it if
it's possible to do a brewer in all nine boxes,
So even if it's even if the brewers are not
one of the prompts, I will play it that way.
I have not looked today, but I might later.
Speaker 10 (57:48):
We'll see kind of a busy dick kind of say,
John if you wanted to start naming some random rulers
that might help Joel for future editions of that game.
Speaker 2 (57:57):
Hey hey, Joel, Seriously, though, as a Brewer fan, there's
zero way that you can have this regular season in
which they had and lose in the postseason to the Cubs, Right,
No way.
Speaker 6 (58:11):
I mean, now there's there's there's absolutely a way.
Speaker 3 (58:14):
Like I.
Speaker 6 (58:17):
I there's absolutely a way that they're the Cubs. The
Cubs are a bad matchup for Milwaukee actually because the
way they play defense. And I am also a I
think I've said this before on this show, but I
am not the sort of fan who goes into these
things confident.
Speaker 11 (58:32):
I I go into playoff day I felt that as
a as the Cubs series was closing up yesterday, I
could feel the familiar nerves and anxiety creeping up. I
don't feel good about that series at all, because that's
that's kind of the thing with the Brewers is since
twenty eighteen when they made the Game seven announcyes.
Speaker 6 (58:53):
That's pretty much been the story. Is great regular season,
nothing in the playoffs.
Speaker 2 (59:00):
I I just kind of think about it, like the
old Craig council stuff is awesome, I think in terms
of interest level for me, same for you.
Speaker 6 (59:13):
I am not the biggest Greg Council fan. I'll say
that he's not my favorite manager in the world, but
uh yeah, it's gonna be It's gonna be interesting. I
can't think about these playoff teams without just.
Speaker 7 (59:32):
They're just the most blood pressure rising, heart pounding, dut
punches in the world.
Speaker 6 (59:40):
Like playoff baseball is just different because of how things
can turn on every pitch. And so right now, I
would say I would say my my mental status on
this playoff series is is not in a good spot
at the moment.
Speaker 2 (59:55):
Hey, are you a Bucks fan too? Being from being
from Wisconsin?
Speaker 4 (59:59):
Okay, I am not.
Speaker 6 (01:00:00):
That's the only one I'm not. I when I was
five years old, I fell in love with David Robinson
and jo I'm a Spurs fan.
Speaker 4 (01:00:09):
Well.
Speaker 2 (01:00:09):
I was just kind of thinking about this in terms
of Miles Turner, who has had an interesting week in
terms of the fan base around here. November the third,
when the Bucks played down here is going to be
incredibly interesting as well. But I just think about Miles,
as much as I supported him over the years, he's
going to have a really difficult time I think cashing
(01:00:32):
those checks that he's he's writing in terms of what
the Bucks are going to want out of him as
a player this year. So I didn't know. Bang from Wisconsin,
if you're a Bucks fan that has got the potential
will be incredibly awkward, sooner rather than later up there
this year.
Speaker 6 (01:00:49):
I think so. I think so, yeah, thee there's some
there's some interest in there. But you know, I'm not.
I've never really been. I don't know why you'd have
to ask five year old Joel why why David the imagination.
Speaker 4 (01:01:03):
That makes sense though, it really does.
Speaker 2 (01:01:05):
Night Joel First and Joel on Fox fifty nine with
Hagen coming up this weekend, right, you bet?
Speaker 6 (01:01:12):
You bet? And we're live this wee because it's actually
one o'clock game.
Speaker 2 (01:01:16):
Yes, you are going to be live this weekend and
also on Fox Television. Wise, as we talked to Chris
Myers yesterday, Joel, always a pleasure man. It was great
to see you yesterday.
Speaker 1 (01:01:27):
Man.
Speaker 4 (01:01:27):
Make that a point to come out as much as
you can.
Speaker 6 (01:01:29):
Okay, I will do I will do my level.
Speaker 2 (01:01:32):
Bet it's a Joey Erickson to the Star on the
Anymore Automotive Group Hotline. First and Joel with Chris Hagen
and again that game televised on Fox coming up this weekend.
But right here on ninety three five, one oh seven
ninety seven and one Hank FM, where you can hear
our good friend Greg rays Draw on the postgame show
with Bill Brooks coming up on Sunday, Tuo.
Speaker 10 (01:01:54):
That is correct. Now, I know that I try to
play to your wheelhouse when I can. Yes, if I
can make a comparison to current events and the movie
Can't Buy Me Love, Yes, So knowing you've had cast
members of said movie on the interviews on the shows
before Courtney Gaines was the actor that played Ronald Mcdonalard,
Ronald McDonald Miller's friend that was had the flaming bag
(01:02:17):
on his right. You kind of feel like Courtney when
it comes to Myles Turner right now, don't.
Speaker 4 (01:02:21):
You a little bit? I mean it's been like on your.
Speaker 10 (01:02:25):
House because of how big of a fan of Miles
you were.
Speaker 4 (01:02:28):
Well, I've always felt.
Speaker 2 (01:02:29):
This way that I could have helped. If he were
to just say, hey, how should I handle this? I
could have helped. But instead I think he went like
the Victor Oladipo help route, which did not go well
and did not go well whatsoever he is there.
Speaker 4 (01:02:44):
Here's what's going to happen.
Speaker 2 (01:02:45):
No Third as a Monday night, They're going to have
a video of him. And you know he's going to
get fortunate because there's gonna be a lot of paying
customers there that aren't going to feel like a lot
of the fans new but they're going to be boo
when really for him there should not be booze, just
because of how he has handled right this offseason, and
(01:03:07):
really all he has to do is say, you know what,
this team has tried to screw me over and trade
me so many times and sign some other dude, and
I should be I think people would understand the grudge
and why you would agrest, But instead he's kind of
mixed this up and muddy the water between the fans
and him, and I just don't think.
Speaker 4 (01:03:24):
There's going to be walking that back.
Speaker 10 (01:03:26):
I think the Pacers are truly appreciative of what Miles
was to them for the last decade. I'm wondering if
they don't have a video for him for that exact reason,
because almost to save him from himself, you have to
have a video of him. They will I think the
people to put it out on social media. I'm not
sure they'll play it in the building. Don't you have to.
(01:03:46):
Let me give you an example of it, because this
was a concern and people treated it exceedingly well. So
for the Colts, the preseason opener, obviously in all places,
is in Baltimore. Yeah, first game involving the Colts since
the passing of Gym. And we were told, hey, they're
gonna do a moment of silence and our tribute for
Jim in Baltimore, and we're all kind of those of
(01:04:07):
us are like, really, I don't even think this is
gonna go.
Speaker 4 (01:04:11):
If you go back and look at the broadcast.
Speaker 10 (01:04:13):
We did not carry that live for a reason in
case that went bad. Thankfully, the fans were pretty gracious
about it right there. I didn't hear, well, man, this
is a I know, but but you get the idea. Yeah,
you know, that's common sense. Common sense and being a
fan aren't all usually in the same circle. Sure, all right,
So but again I'm curious if they play the video again.
Speaker 3 (01:04:37):
Social media is one thing.
Speaker 10 (01:04:38):
Playing in the arena is another, because you do it
to to get somebody to cheer the man, and I'm
not sure that's going to be the case.
Speaker 2 (01:04:43):
I just think that if you don't do it, if
you're the Pacers, I would agree, you want to be
above all this. Other words, you put it on the
fans and you want to be all this, and I
think that they will play something. I just he could
have handled this. All he asked to do is say,
you know what, all the years I've been there in
my career developed me to who I am right now,
(01:05:06):
and I felt it was time to move on. And
if you want to be pissed at the organization, whether
it's Kevin or Chad, then be pissed at him. But
you can never lump in the fans or the teammates
that are still there and competing, because they carried your
ass and really a lot of parts of that postseason.
Speaker 10 (01:05:26):
Let me give you a homework assignments. As I go
to have to exit and actually go do the day job,
I want you to think of a pacer that exited gracefully,
because immediately I go Paul Jerts, No.
Speaker 4 (01:05:37):
No, milest no.
Speaker 10 (01:05:39):
So let's think about the pacer that actually, maybe boy
On mcdonovich might have one a.
Speaker 4 (01:05:45):
Much less consequence those true yright. So one day I
want to write.
Speaker 2 (01:05:49):
And again was Miles Paul or Victor No, but he
would have been just behind those. Nobody was pissed off
at simonas correct, right, So yeah, you know it pissed
me off. What's the fact that I've got five ice
cold buzz right in front of your face?
Speaker 3 (01:06:03):
Have one?
Speaker 10 (01:06:04):
If I was doing a Catholic school game, maybe I
could have one because I've got you.
Speaker 3 (01:06:07):
Know, Laurence rothan Warren Central.
Speaker 10 (01:06:09):
I have to bypass on this and save them for
you for the next ninety minutes of the show. What
time you guys kick tonight? We kick at seven o'clock.
Actually kick a seven oh seven. That's a television secret cover.
It starts at seven o'clock on my ind TV twenty.
And that is a game of the week, right, That
is our game of the week. That is one of
a couple, if not three top ten matchups in six
A that is for the Mick Championship. Both those two
(01:06:30):
are five and one, Both are undefeated in league play.
This is actually Warren's last league game. They are four
and oher going into this one should be a really
good game.
Speaker 2 (01:06:38):
So Alicia behind you with our promo staff is the
coach of the tennis team at Warren right there, Greg
played tennis at U Indy.
Speaker 3 (01:06:46):
So she's the coach. She's the coach of last year's
individual state champion.
Speaker 4 (01:06:50):
Correct.
Speaker 3 (01:06:51):
Huh middle school?
Speaker 4 (01:06:53):
Oh, middle school? She had tennis coach in one.
Speaker 3 (01:06:56):
But she can claim a state champion.
Speaker 4 (01:06:58):
Yeah, she can claim. There's no doubt.
Speaker 3 (01:07:00):
That's really good.
Speaker 4 (01:07:00):
She has a good tennis player, much like you are.
Speaker 3 (01:07:02):
We got to figure this out.
Speaker 4 (01:07:03):
We'll get there, all right, man, good hoving, Thanks for
coming out, of course.
Speaker 2 (01:07:07):
So Greg Ragshaw all right there, lives about four blocks

Speaker 3 (01:08:00):
The Ride with JMV. I love JMV. He looks like
Rascal Flats.
Speaker 2 (01:08:05):
Guy got a cool soul patch Wow and a buttery
smooth one Yeah.
Speaker 3 (01:08:10):
Ninety three five and one oh seven five the Fan.
Speaker 2 (01:08:15):
Bakeley S College and Kessler. If you're driving by Hunk,
let us know that you're here. Hey, if you got time,
stop two, we'd love to see you. Raiders coach ticket
to give away, but light Blue Friday, our friends from
Zinker here with us.
Speaker 4 (01:08:29):
Man, thank you all.
Speaker 2 (01:08:30):
What a great destination college in Kessler, in broad Ripple. Cordney,
the owner is going to rejoin us, coming up in
a bit. Don Fisher, Voice of the Hoosiers. Also on
the way, Greg ras Raw, Joey Erickson, Bob Lovelall Podcast
one O seven five Thefan dot Com. In terms of
the Raiders and the Colts, Kirk Morrison, their former linebacker.
(01:08:51):
Earlier this week, Chris Myers the play by play voice
of Fox at the broadcast coming up on Sunday.
Speaker 4 (01:08:57):
He joined us.
Speaker 2 (01:08:58):
Jason Horowitz, a radio voice also on the show. Charles Rbuckle.
Yesterday the former Colts tied end. I don't know what
more we can do for you now. The news of
the day is that of Alec Pearce, who has been
ruled out. He backpedal on the whole concussion protocol, which
is not good. Kenny Moore the second has been ruled out,
(01:09:21):
and we'll find out a little bit more as we
get closer to the kit coming up on Sunday. As
the status that plays the activity of one ad Mitchell
a wide receiver ratest Colts tickets to give away bud
Light Blue Friday, Kessler and College. We are at Bankley's.
(01:09:42):
Thank you all for joining us. But my man Tom
Lewis of Indy Cornrose does not live too far away.
He was kind enough to come down and have a
nice cold bud lte and join us here.
Speaker 4 (01:09:52):
How far away do you live, by.
Speaker 12 (01:09:53):
The way, I just live a few blocks that way
across from Chautau.
Speaker 4 (01:09:58):
Rocking the Mariners hat right there with you. Reason in
the playoffs, col Rawley MVP.
Speaker 2 (01:10:04):
Baby man, what a run this season for that group
right there, that's the greatest team of all time in Seattle.
Speaker 4 (01:10:10):
We'll see if they make Kenny Kenny call it that
right down, just by virtue of the regular season.
Speaker 12 (01:10:15):
The fact that they have that, the pitching sat they do,
and it's the most complete team I think. You know,
they're one hundred and sixteen back in the early two thousands,
but the squad is set up to be the best,
best one.
Speaker 2 (01:10:31):
Why don't they rock the trident and the whole uniform anymore?
That would be great if they would do that.
Speaker 12 (01:10:36):
They do have a kind of an updated version of
that they were on Fridays, but it's not quite the same.
Speaker 4 (01:10:42):
I don't like it. Oh it's weird day. So Pacer
start preseason next Tuesday.
Speaker 2 (01:10:48):
Yeah right, yep, Minnesota, you start your coverage once again.
Speaker 12 (01:10:51):
Yeah, fighting up. We've been laying in the cut here.
Has been kind of nice standing up for NBA Twitter
and all that.
Speaker 2 (01:10:57):
Yeah, well it's it is setting it worry about me because
I have a deeply rooted belief in this group, and
even without Miles who.
Speaker 4 (01:11:05):
Is going to Milwaukee, and without Tyrese.
Speaker 2 (01:11:07):
Haliburton for the season, Granted, do I expect them to
win an NBA title and get to the NBA Finals,
to challenge to get to the NBA or they should say,
the Eastern Conference finals. Maybe not, but to be competitive.
I absolutely expected so do they?
Speaker 12 (01:11:21):
Oh yeah, And you know they have a team that
come off Eastern Conference files two years ago NBA files
Game seven six of the you know, top eight guys
in that rotation still around they.
Speaker 2 (01:11:35):
Why are they so easily written off then by everybody?
Speaker 12 (01:11:38):
Well, I guess everyone's wondering what they're gonna do in
that last five seconds without tyresee. I don't know other
than that, you know, I think maybe there might be
an overemphasis on trying to replace Turn. But man, there's
some there's some young guys who could come out of
the wig work here and really impact and.
Speaker 3 (01:11:58):
You have to see it.
Speaker 2 (01:11:59):
And this is what I'm hoping for, more sore than
anything else. And shout out to everybody listening, by the
way out there listing right on Kessler in college. I
can see you guys listing in your cars right now.
You can honk too and let us know that you're listening.
But Tommy, the whole maturation and evolution of Benninkmatherin. I mean,
if he's ever been what we expect him to be,
(01:12:21):
then is going to be in the now, in the moment.
And when I went to the media day, which I
rarely do, I went to media day on Monday, and
it looks like that he is locked in with that
particular thought of being what everybody thinks he can be
this particular season, which is necessary for this team.
Speaker 12 (01:12:40):
Absolutely, and you know, nothing better than a guy in
a contract here, Yeah, you know, yeah, that always seems
to help spur guys along, but I feel like for him,
it's not in the contract. He wants to show what
he can do now be a legitimate star in the
league and worthy of that.
Speaker 4 (01:12:59):
You know that lottery pick has to do that with
a Rick too.
Speaker 2 (01:13:02):
Yeah, I mean Rick, before what anybody else, is probably
the one that is a little bit apprehensive about. All right,
So our system and him, I don't know, but I
think there are gonna be a lot of aspects in
which Rick's going to have to live with to see
if Matherin ultimately evolves to what you hope he is.
Speaker 1 (01:13:21):
Yeah.
Speaker 12 (01:13:22):
Absolutely, And you know they're focusing more on defense with
him now, They're you know, they're talking about expanding his
game and the fact that he needs to run as
a team runs. I mean, that's for them to play better,
which people I believe overlook their style of play, the
effort and the energy for forty eight minutes full court
(01:13:43):
all that, there's a lot of that's plug and play.
You just did that effort that other NBA teams don't
usually did, and that's where they've always had an advantage
here with this with this group. So you know, maintaining
that style of play is going to be where they
finally success, and Mathen's got to plug into that and
do his part.
Speaker 2 (01:14:04):
Shout out to the lovely Melissa and Jeremiah from Pittsburgh
who are walking in here right now.
Speaker 4 (01:14:10):
Binkley's is a location. We're in Broad Ripple.
Speaker 2 (01:14:13):
We're on College and Kessler, and by god, I would
love to see you here, just like I just saw
Jeremiah Melissa, but I would also like to hear from
you as well.
Speaker 4 (01:14:21):
If you're riding the.
Speaker 2 (01:14:22):
Avant garde transportation bus right now, shout out.
Speaker 4 (01:14:25):
To you because you're right in front of our face.
Speaker 2 (01:14:27):
But seriously, if you're driving by, give us a honk
and let us know you're here, Courtney the owner is
going to rejoin in a little bit Don Fisher, Voice
of the Hoosiers. He is also coming up on the
show on this Friday, bud Light Blue Friday with the
Raiders Colts tickets to give away with our great friends
from Zinc and bud Light coming up a little bit
later on. So you look at that, and you look
(01:14:48):
at the transformation I guess of sorts of Andrew and Imhart.
That was another topic of conversation on Monday. How do
you expect him to look compared to how this team
has this past year, how they want to play, because
he not only has that responsibility now offensively of Aliborton,
but he's always carried that responsibility of the best player
(01:15:09):
on the defensive end.
Speaker 12 (01:15:11):
Yeah, that's the the main thing with Nemhart is can
he continue to go the best guy? Is he gonna
get help, you know, with TJ mcconum playing the point
guard or whoever they bring in to help handle some
of those duties, or is he I'm gonna have to
lessen his defensive impact and and for him also, you know,
(01:15:33):
stay healthy? Is you know he and siakam Data stay
healthy and they at least Nemar kind of struggle with
that during the regular season a little bit. So that
is that is a big, big question. But but that
guy is just a stone cool killer and you give
him a task and I can't wait to see how
he lifts his game to h to take on the responsibility.
Speaker 4 (01:15:55):
I agree with that too.
Speaker 2 (01:15:57):
And then talking about guys that are taking the play,
says like three to make one right here for Miles.
And one of the guys I do want to talk
about is, you know, Isaiah Jackson coming back from injury.
You know, obviously James Wiseman also coming back, but let's
focus in on Isaiah Jackson.
Speaker 4 (01:16:14):
If there's a guy that you don't want to see
rob of.
Speaker 2 (01:16:16):
Any athleticism whatsoever, it is certainly him because he has
a multitude of that. But how are they going to
make up for Miles in the capacity in which they
brought guys in so far? Really a trio vos right, absolutely,
I mean maybe even four if you count Tony Bradley
as well.
Speaker 4 (01:16:32):
Yeah.
Speaker 12 (01:16:33):
Well, I mean you need Jackson to be a guy
that can defend around the rim, and then you know
he can run with the best of them when he's healthy.
And you know, unlike Miles like he can run, catch
and jump at the same time. He has that ability,
and it'd be nice to see if he can let
(01:16:55):
all that, you know, all that talent get you know,
kind of fall into play and and and be a
big impact with that, you know. And then they got
the Jay huff and and Wiseman, and you hope they
can kind of fill in the gaps where he met
fall short.
Speaker 2 (01:17:09):
So, uh, Temmy lewis right there of Indy corn Rose,
what are you gonna start writing?
Speaker 12 (01:17:14):
You know, I got some stuff in the hop I'm
just ready to let.
Speaker 2 (01:17:20):
Yeah, you've got to get past this Mariners postseason first.
Speaker 12 (01:17:23):
Now, it's been fun been you know, been down to
Value a lot for some football tailgaming and you know.
Speaker 4 (01:17:29):
Got the week off for that.
Speaker 2 (01:17:30):
I think the IU event yesterday on Kirkwood from volleyball,
I thought that was an awesome event.
Speaker 4 (01:17:35):
Yeah, you said, now, did Cicily really hit that shot
or was that like done? Do we know? It appears
it looked like you.
Speaker 2 (01:17:42):
Does anybody know it because it looked like you hit
it to me, But then sometimes you don't know if
there's some editing going on. So Trent Cicily was above
the five guys on Kirkwood on the balcony and shot
onto Kirkwood where the goal was set up between Nicks
and upstairs pub and banked at home. So was that
(01:18:04):
real or was there any I guess editing going on
to it looked real to me.
Speaker 12 (01:18:10):
I think I saw another angle from the other side.
Speaker 4 (01:18:13):
Of the Yeah, it looked real. It looked real.
Speaker 3 (01:18:15):
That was so silly the camera and.
Speaker 2 (01:18:18):
You tell me, everybody know that that's what we do
from southern That's that's shot making from southern.
Speaker 4 (01:18:23):
Indiana right there. Don't you're wrong. That's what happens.
Speaker 2 (01:18:25):
I mean, here's Santa Claus Headed Hills, Southern Indiana.
Speaker 4 (01:18:28):
There are shot makers.
Speaker 2 (01:18:29):
So if you're gonna shoot it on the balcony above
five guys on Kirkwood to a goal, then you're probably
gonna make it most times. But I just kind of
wonder to this world in which we live in, if
that was real or if that was what.
Speaker 4 (01:18:41):
We'll mate believe?
Speaker 12 (01:18:42):
Yeah, I mean, but down there, that's awesome.
Speaker 2 (01:18:45):
It was nice Tommy, good to see Buddy Heys fricking
Tom Lewis right there of Indy Cornrows's pacer coverage you
could find right there. Hey, James, do you know this
would be true? Was that sicily shot? Was that legit?
Fans are telling me it was legit.
Speaker 3 (01:18:58):
I am not one hundred per cent sure.
Speaker 6 (01:19:00):
I am trying to find out right now?
Speaker 4 (01:19:03):
All right, are you if you could tell me that?
Speaker 2 (01:19:06):
Are you fans you could tell me if that was
legit because it looked like it was to me.
Speaker 8 (01:19:12):
That was.
Speaker 2 (01:19:13):
I don't know why more is not made about that.
When you shoot it from a balcony onto the street
as he did, that's pretty damn amazing right there, quick break,
We'll come back Binkley's where in Broad Rupple.
Speaker 3 (01:19:24):
We're at Collegen Kessler.
Speaker 2 (01:19:26):

means you got time to stop as well. I just

Speaker 4 (01:20:04):
We're not gonna fall for a banana and the tailpipe.
Speaker 3 (01:20:07):
You're not gonna fall for the banana and the tailpipe.
This should be more natural, brother, should flow out like this. Look, man,
I follo off an no banana my tailpipe. Ninety three
to five and one oh seven five The Fan.
Speaker 2 (01:20:19):

these and T shirts and then Raiders Colts tickets.
Speaker 4 (01:21:07):
Here.
Speaker 2 (01:21:08):
This is what we have for you at Binkley's on
College in Kessler. Those are great Triple A membership lounge.
You could check that out. Me gonna wear those. Those
look good, the Pacer ones I have. I every time
I wore those, they won and I went with Tommy
Yes of coaches all the time to playoff games. And
(01:21:30):
every time that I wore those pacer shoes from Zinc
that they won.
Speaker 4 (01:21:37):
So I mean, rle d your good luck charm right there.
Speaker 2 (01:21:40):
Hey, By the way, I asked this question, and this
comes from the text line that three one seven, two,
three nine ten seventy. My son Eric was there last
night on Kirkwood and saw the Sicily.
Speaker 4 (01:21:51):
Shot and it was legit. It went in.
Speaker 2 (01:21:54):
It's from Todd, So I don't know if you've seen
that video. The freshman Trent Sicily from Heritage Hills and
Santa Claus actually threw one in from the deck area
above five guys on Kirkwood. So they had this basketball event.
I think Jeremy Gray was a part of it and
others down there too. But they had this basketball event
(01:22:16):
on Kirkwood between the upstairs a spot where we're going
to be on a Thursday coming up in November, but
upstairs pub and Nicks and they had a basketball goal
and shooting and all this stuff out there and it
was really well attended.
Speaker 4 (01:22:30):
It was a great event.
Speaker 2 (01:22:31):
And sicily threw one in from the balcony above the
five guys right there somebody's apartment, and that's pretty awesome.
I was kind of wondering if that was legit, and
then they tell me now that it was absolutely legit.
Speaker 4 (01:22:47):
So cool.
Speaker 2 (01:22:48):
And by the way, we'll be at upstairs coming up
in the month of November on a Thursday with our
large snebourbon locks and lunas, will Tekuila shots again a hawk.

it in your favorite grocer's refrigerator today. The Voice of
the Hoosiers, Don Fisher and more. Your chance to win

oh seven five The Fan.
Speaker 3 (01:23:54):

Speaker 2 (01:24:06):
Oh, We're at College and Kessler. Thank you so much
for joining us. Jamie takeover Tomorrow. Night's get a lot

We'll be listening all winter from Warmer Weather. Keep up
the good work. Thank you Chris from the state of Florida.
(01:24:29):
We are again at Kessler and College, Honk. If you're

love to see you on a Budlight Blue Friday at
Binkley's our location, and we'll talk to the owner Courtney

but we would love to see you here. But we'd
love to hear from you too. If you can't stop,
so just let us know, as many have done so far,
(01:24:50):

So yeah, your weekend is planned out via us with
all the sports going on. But at Bankley's today, we
would love to see it with the great food and
the ice cold bud light on a blue Friday meantime.
On the Andy Moore aut Monive Group potline, he's got
a weekend off lit by week for the Hoosiers next
week on the road in Eugene, Oregon against Oregon. But
(01:25:55):
this week the week off for the football Hoosier's Voice
of the Hoosiers, Don Fisher's on the Andy Moore on
the Motive Group hotline.
Speaker 4 (01:26:02):
So what are we doing this weekend with that weekend off?
Speaker 2 (01:26:04):
Don?
Speaker 5 (01:26:06):
Well, I'm sorry, John, but I can't go to dinner
tonight at our table because I'll be at my son's
football game tonight and over in Ellitsville. So I apologize
for Sam last week that I join you, and then
I can't do it because of the football game tonight.
But then tomorrow I'm going to Greencastle to watch my
(01:26:27):
grandson play football for the De Paul Tigers. So play
of football this weekend anyway, and then I'm going to
play golf on Sunday, which will round out a week
of golf for the most part.
Speaker 4 (01:26:40):
That is well done. Are you going to Legends tomorrow tomorrow?
Speaker 5 (01:26:46):
No, it'll be Sunday if city and now I will
find a place to play depending on where we think
it's going to be the least busy.
Speaker 2 (01:26:54):
Yeah, well you know Ted's Ted's always pretty busy down
there too. I'm assuming he would make room pretty quickly
for you and Susie if need be.
Speaker 4 (01:27:03):
I think you'd be okay.
Speaker 8 (01:27:05):
I would not.
Speaker 5 (01:27:06):
I would not try to put upon Ted to find
me a place or shove me in their subplace. No,
I'm gonna I mean we'll literally we'll probably go to
the Legends, but we could play someplace else depending on
what we think from a busy standpoint is because we
like to play in about three and a half hours
if we can, and most of the time you can't
do that just about any place on a weekend.
Speaker 2 (01:27:29):
Well, how about Bliomington par three. Just go at night
when they have their lights on and you could hear it.
You could hit it into the fog and then out
of the fag at the same time. You know what
I'm talking about the par three of Wlimington.
Speaker 5 (01:27:40):
Yeah, you mean that par three that's on I just
on the ft, like if you take the first exit
to Blimington off the interstate, in that part three down
there that floods every single time it rains.
Speaker 2 (01:27:52):
Yes, that place is closed, Yeah.
Speaker 4 (01:27:57):
I barely.
Speaker 8 (01:27:58):
I think I went there one time just to see
what it was like, and I don't think I finished
the second hole. I think I went.
Speaker 4 (01:28:04):
Back to oh Man par three we used to. That's
where I played golf.
Speaker 2 (01:28:10):
Being from Green County, That's where I played golf often
down there because it was right next to then there
was the YMW Drive in which had the infamous or
famous whatever you might view all nighters there with movies.
But yeah, I played a lot of golf under the
lights there, just for something to do back in the
day at the Bloomington part. But you're right when it rained, Yeah,
(01:28:33):
you couldn't play because it was flooded out.
Speaker 5 (01:28:36):
And it's still there. I mean it's still open, so
there are a lot of people that still play there.
Speaker 2 (01:28:42):
The Bloomington par three, by the way, the Stallions, the
Mustangs of Edgewood host Sullivan later after night. I know
it's a bummer because the Stangs are coming off their
first loss of the season to beat Scrow but still
at five and one, a really nice beginning to things
for your son in that group.
Speaker 5 (01:29:03):
Yeah, there's no gut they they've had a good season
up to this point and hopefully they won a couple
more ball games before the playoffs begin. They've got the
toughest part of their schedule however, this last stretch of
the season, so it's going to be a challenge, there's
no question about it. But these kids have fought their
butts off this year. Loved the way they play, and
they show a lot of heart. If they make three
(01:29:25):
plays last week, they win the ball game. But they
didn't make the three plays of town. The two field
goal Attebs were no good and then a touchdown that
was caught in the end zone and dropped. Those three
pretty much put.
Speaker 8 (01:29:39):
To the nail in the coffin, if you know what
I mean.
Speaker 2 (01:29:42):
Yeah, that's sometimes that's the way that it happens, and
don sometimes it's been historic the way that has happened
in Iowa. But that's how you football program. And I
mentioned this early in the week. A game like that
historically speaking, is a game that the IU football program
in the past has lost.
Speaker 4 (01:30:05):
That's right.
Speaker 2 (01:30:06):
I don't know how people view it, and there are
a lot of people saying, well, the play calling this
and that in the backup court. I don't give a
damn about any of that historically speaking. And in Iowa,
a game that goes that's grinded out like that is
the game that AU loses. And this is once again
another sign of how different this era is. With Kurt Signetti,
that's a game that they go up and they pull
(01:30:26):
out of the fire and they win.
Speaker 5 (01:30:29):
That's exactly right, and I agree with you one hundred percent.
That's the game that Indiana would have lost in the past.
This team put together the right the right scenario at
the end of the ball game to find a way
to win it. And they showed that kind of resilience
throughout that ballgame on Saturday too, because that was a
tough test. That was Iowa was a team that you
(01:30:50):
cannot take lightly. It's a team that will play right
down to the end of the ballgame, and had their
quarterback not gotten hurt, it might have been a different story.
But in they had to found a way to finish
the game to get a win. And there's no question
it was a big I don't want to say that,
I will say this, Jean. It was not one of
(01:31:11):
those ballgames that if you win it, it's not that
big a deal, but if you lose.
Speaker 8 (01:31:15):
It, it is a big deal. And they found a
way to win. That's the key.
Speaker 2 (01:31:20):
Well, a lot of the hopes are dashed if you
lose that game. And really, now that's why you kind
of set the stage for next week in Eugene as
this being just such a mammoth type of game, and
you know that is the I just think there are
a lot of gauges that you see along the way,
whether it was a year ago in year number one
(01:31:41):
of Signetti or this year, and that was a that
was a test the way that Iowa plays, the way
that most of the time i AWA wins at home,
all these things that they're very good at over the year,
and the history with Kirk Ferrence was something that i
you got to win and side stepped.
Speaker 4 (01:32:00):
I think that's just important.
Speaker 2 (01:32:01):
The grand scheme of the goals of this team and
year number two of Signetty.
Speaker 5 (01:32:06):
Yep, there's no doubt it was a game that you
wanted them to win, and they needed to win.
Speaker 8 (01:32:12):
It, and they found a way to do it.
Speaker 5 (01:32:14):
So from my standpoint, you can't ask for any more
than that, especially a place and a venue where Indiana
has really struggled over the years. They've lost. I mean,
they haven't played but three times in the last ten years,
and they lost all three of them.
Speaker 4 (01:32:28):
So it just tells you. And two of those were.
Speaker 5 (01:32:31):
In Iowa City, so it just tells you how difficult
it is. And they hadn't won there since two thousand
and seven, so you figure the math there.
Speaker 4 (01:32:41):
Is up.
Speaker 2 (01:32:42):
Bernando Mendoza the best quarterback you've seen play in calling
all you games over the years, and listen, you've had
good quarterbacks. People will say, well, it's how you know.
Trent Green was a great quarterback. You've seen it, Randall
l was a great quarterback. You've seen a variety of
great quarterbacks. Where's Mendoza so far his short career with
his AYU football program through your eyes?
Speaker 3 (01:33:04):
Now, it's hard.
Speaker 5 (01:33:05):
It's hard to evaluate at this point, John, just because
we've only seen them in foxtball games, and obviously Indiana
has won those five. I like what I see from
this young man. I don't think there's any doubt his
talent level may be the best we've ever seen at IU.
And I here's where the caveat there when you go
back over the years and you look at Indiana quarterbacks,
(01:33:28):
We've had some really good ones over the years, and
Antoine randall Ell, in my mind, was the best athlete
that we've ever seen in a football field since I've
been at Indiana, and I'm talking about Indiana players. Now,
nobody was a better athlete on the football field than
he had Twan randall Ll period.
Speaker 1 (01:33:46):
Now.
Speaker 5 (01:33:46):
Was he as good a thrower as Fernando. He had
just as strong an arm, but I don't think he
was quite as accurate as Fernando has been. And Mendoza
right now has got people looking at him from the
NFL and out. The scouts are taking a long look
at this guy. A lot of people are salivating at
his size and his speed along with his ability to
(01:34:08):
throw the football and the accuracy that he's shown thus far.
So at this juncture, I would say he's probably going
to put himself at a position to be one of
the best, if not the best, that.
Speaker 8 (01:34:18):
We've seen an EYEU over the years.
Speaker 5 (01:34:20):
But that's still you know, seven ball games of the
regular season remaining, and you don't want to go off
the deep end and say something like that and then
be proven wrong.
Speaker 2 (01:34:31):
Well, a year ago we also saw Rourke was really
good and what he was doing as well.
Speaker 4 (01:34:37):
Yeah, So, I mean it's a high bart that has
been said. It's funny.
Speaker 2 (01:34:41):
So Kirk Morrison is the radio analyst for the Raiders,
former Raider player, and he does it for ESPN as well,
and he follows around the ACC and did a lot
of the cow games with Mendoza a year ago, and
he said, you know why I saw that, and this
stands to the conversations you and I have had. When
Signetty put together this team, he kind of wanted to
(01:35:02):
make sure here that the offensive line was as best
it can't be because of what Mendoza went through a
year ago at CAWL. And I think that is all
important in just how this team has performed offensively so far.
Have an offensive line to where your decisions are better
because the protection is better than what he witnessed in
(01:35:22):
Berkeley a year ago with the Bears.
Speaker 5 (01:35:25):
Well, I will tell you this, Bucksoor my color analyst,
who I believe emphatically that This guy knows as much
about football as anybody that's on the air, and I
will tell you this, but he still thinks that Indiana's
offensive line is one of the best in the Big Ten.
Speaker 1 (01:35:41):
He really believes that.
Speaker 5 (01:35:43):
He says, these guys are doing a great job there.
He's not saying that they don't get beat every now
and then. Tell me what team, I don't care how
good they are, doesn't have an offensive line that gets beat.
Speaker 1 (01:35:53):
Down and then.
Speaker 5 (01:35:54):
But the fact of the matter is this offensive line
has done a great job of protecting him. Think he
got sacked one time last week, maybe twice. I think
he's only been sacked like maybe three or four times
all year long at this juncture. So he's gotten much
better protection than he had in any time last year
at CAL. And at this point, he's throwing the football
(01:36:16):
and having more confidence, and he's throwing because he has
the time to do it. Almost every time he goes back.
Speaker 3 (01:36:22):
To throw it.
Speaker 5 (01:36:23):
So at this point you got to feel very good
about what you're seeing.
Speaker 2 (01:36:28):
So Don Fisher, voice of the Hoosiers on the Andy
Moore Automotive Group Potline, I completely agree with that as well.
Speaker 4 (01:36:35):
I was listening to you guys on Saturday.
Speaker 2 (01:36:37):
And you know, Buck was talking about so many things
in your right, he normally is so accurate, and the
one thing that stood out I completely was in agreement.
And you know, ended up I won because of just
some late play obviously with Mendoza and Sarat and all that.
But when he was talking about, you know, sometimes against
(01:36:59):
this team that whether to play, I mean, you really
got to maximize the points even if it is three.
Speaker 4 (01:37:04):
And I thought at the time, and that kind of
stands to what you're.
Speaker 2 (01:37:07):
Talking about with Buck going what he's talking about on
the air with you, it was so incredibly accurate.
Speaker 4 (01:37:12):
I thought the same thing. You know, against Iowa.
Speaker 2 (01:37:14):
It's just kind of different than when if you're playing
against Illinois or when you're playing against Oregon, where you
want to probably maximize making sure you get seven. Three
against Iowa is pretty dynamic considering how they play and
how they want to grind you. And when he said that,
he was absolutely right on the money.
Speaker 5 (01:37:33):
Well, and here's the other thing too, talk about. One
of the best parts of that ballgame for Indiana was
the timeouts that were taken at the very end of
the first half that gave Indiana a chance to get
the ball down the field and get three on the
board to tie the ballgame at the break. That momentum change,
(01:37:54):
and I don't say it was a grammatic momentum change
because it wasn't dramatic, but it gave Indiana. I had
a little spark going into that locker room because they
were behind at that point. And so when you look
at what Indiana was able to do that last I
think it was only like twenty maybe twenty five seconds
or something like that they had and the way that
they went about their business, and again, that's Kurt Signetti
(01:38:17):
all over the place in regard to how smart he
is when it comes to making the right calls and
the adjustments that you've got to make. That guy just
knows exactly what he was doing. And to get that
three points at halftime that was in I don't want
to say a miracle in any way, shape or form, but.
Speaker 8 (01:38:35):
It was really important and he found a way to
get it done.
Speaker 4 (01:38:39):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (01:38:39):
Don I try to remind people of this as well,
because I have a lot of long time IU football
fans that are listeners and they kind of fall in
the category of thinking, well, this is the same old,
same old and I try to remind them that their
memory is not the memory of Kurt Signetti. His view
of IU football is completely different than ours, and I
(01:39:02):
think that we have seen that in his coaching style.
And that is another reason why when Scott Dolson made
that choice to bring him in from James Madison. It
is so important because there's no memory of what IU
used to be.
Speaker 4 (01:39:14):
It's about what i U is right now.
Speaker 2 (01:39:17):
And I constantly have to remind people that listen to
this show that very thing.
Speaker 4 (01:39:22):
Yep.
Speaker 5 (01:39:23):
I think people have to understand this is not the
same Indiana football program that we've seen in the past
and at any point in time for that matter. And
there's no doubt that Bill Mallory teams back in the
eighties and the early nineties were really good, and they
played great football, and it was fun to watch and
you were always excited about what the possibilities were. Did
(01:39:44):
they always get it done? No, But they always played
so competitively and so tough against almost everybody that they
played in every ball game. And we're seeing beyond that now,
we're seeing winning almost winning every ball came in despite
whatever people think or what they thought, I mean, what
they did to Illinois was astounding. Was astounding. I don't
(01:40:06):
care what anybody says. They went to that ball game
and everybody thought Illinois was going to give them a
real battle. In fact, many people picked them. All the
big experts and so on and so forth on television
and everything all picked Illinois to win that game, and
Indiana destroyed them. This is not the same old Indiana.
And I'm not saying Indiana is going to win every
(01:40:27):
ball game. I'm like going to tell you is they
will be competitive in every ballgame.
Speaker 2 (01:40:33):
Scott Fisher, voice of the Hoosiers, on his way to Ellsville,
shout out to the village in. I don't think he'll
be going there, but the village in is in Nelsville, Indiana.
Speaker 8 (01:40:43):
That's true.
Speaker 4 (01:40:45):
Yeah, not going there.
Speaker 2 (01:40:46):
Hey, I did want to bring this up, and I'm
sure you were not a part of it, and I'm
sure you're not there, and hell you probably haven't seen
any of it because a lot of what I witnessed
was on social media.
Speaker 4 (01:40:57):
But they had a nice event.
Speaker 2 (01:40:58):
I know Jemmy Gray was a part to that, putting
that on on Kirkwood for Indiana Basketball last night, and
their new head coach, Darren DeVries showed up. I thought
that that was a pretty solid event from what I
had witnessed, at least in social media and then watching.
I was trying to verify whether or not Cicily hit
that shot from the balcony over five guys on Kirkwood
(01:41:19):
last night, but evidently he did. I just think, for
you know, for what is necessary for the IU basketball
program and what we know that now to be, I
thought last night was a nice Kirkwood event for him.
Speaker 8 (01:41:31):
It was, and and it was a tot of people
were there.
Speaker 5 (01:41:34):
Most or about ninety five to ninety nine percent of
those fans were We're Indiana students. It was basically one
of those events for the student body to come and
be a part of because it was right there in
Kirkwood and it was well attended. It was I mean,
it looked like standing romoli around that the court and
all that kind of thing, and it was. It was
(01:41:56):
all about special events, shooting contest, all those kinds of things.
There was no scrimmage that I was aware of or
anything like that, and I was not there last night.
It was primarily for the student body to be there,
and that's who showed up for that thing. And then tonight.
Of course they are having a public scrimmage and I
(01:42:16):
use Assembly Hall, so they'll have that scrimmage tonight and
anybody wants to go.
Speaker 3 (01:42:20):
Can be there.
Speaker 2 (01:42:21):
Shout out to Steve Engel by the way, Steve Engele
and Rags that's upstairs and across the way Nick's institutions
on Kirkwood that I'm assuming he had a great deal.
Speaker 4 (01:42:31):
And I mentioned this a little bit earlier.
Speaker 2 (01:42:33):
Darren Devreese bought around drinks for everybody in the upstairs
pub last night, so automatically he gets a headstart over
everybody else here recently.
Speaker 4 (01:42:45):
Automatically, here's what I know about Darren.
Speaker 5 (01:42:49):
He has already proven to me that he is a
little more savvy in regard to the fan base than
pretty much anybody we've had in the last eight or
so years.
Speaker 8 (01:42:59):
If you know what I mean.
Speaker 2 (01:43:01):
Well, I mean I have to hear about him all
the time because you get all my friends from Iowa
that come on the show all the time, Chad Buchanan
being being certainly one. They all talk him up how
legit he is. And I thought last night was you're right,
being savvy and legit. It's kind of the same thing
here don it is.
Speaker 1 (01:43:18):
Yeah.
Speaker 5 (01:43:18):
Well, I mean, look, he was the guy that suggested
having this event because he didn't think when he was
at Drake a couple of years. While he was at Drake,
he said yesterday when I was at practice yesterday, and
he said, there's a possibility that this will be the
first and only one of these that we ever do.
He says, it'll be interesting to see what he said.
(01:43:39):
It'll be interesting to see what kind of turnout we
have in those kinds of things. And my gut is
they'll probably do it again next year now because it
looked to be a very successful night last evening, and
it's pr it's pr for the program and obviously I
think he really understands that part of the business, and
that's huge.
Speaker 2 (01:43:57):
Let me tell you this too, Prince Sisily looking down
that shot, that's Southern Indiana basketball. That's Southerndanda Hooper right there.
That's just the shots we hit from Southern Indiana. Don
right there, that's what happens.
Speaker 5 (01:44:09):
Let me let me make a little prediction for you, John,
in regard to a player, and I rarely do this,
but I really think that that kid is going to
be a great player at IU.
Speaker 8 (01:44:19):
I really do he is.
Speaker 5 (01:44:20):
He has shown me in the games that I saw
him play in Puerto Rico that he doesn't mind the
big stage. In fact, he embraces it. And he doesn't
look like a guy that's just a freshman on campus.
He looks to me like a guy that really knows
what he's doing out there. And I hope that he
you know, he's he could play three, you know, two
(01:44:41):
or three years at IU, or maybe even four.
Speaker 8 (01:44:44):
I would doubt that, because I think he's that good.
Speaker 5 (01:44:46):
I think he's really going to be a factor this
year as well.
Speaker 2 (01:44:49):
Yeah, and no doubt about that, Don fishervoy with and
his hoosiers. He will not He and Susie will not
be able to watch me drink beers in front of
him tonight.
Speaker 4 (01:44:57):
We'll say that for another time.
Speaker 2 (01:45:01):
Certainly enjoy your son down an Edgewood against Sullivan later
off tonight, and we'll figure out a time when we
can hit our table again here very soon.
Speaker 4 (01:45:08):
Okay, sounds good man, See you, Yeah, Don.
Speaker 2 (01:45:12):
Fisher, voice of the ushers on the Andy Moore Automotive

Speaker 2 (01:45:31):

ten seventy because I love you. You've got tickets and
you can go Kansas Jefferson Starship Everwise Amphitheater October. The
tenth number nine is a winner. Man, this has been great.
(01:46:45):
Don Fisher's all wound up. Don Fisher, Voice of the Hoosiers.
I know the weekend is all for IU. They get
Oregon and Eugene coming up next Saturday. Yeah, we talked
about a variety of things and the whole isohway inside,
I thought was really good. And I was listing Don
and Buck on Saturday this past Saturday in that game,
and I thought Buck was on target with a lot
(01:47:05):
of things too, especially the way that you play the
Hawkeyes in those situations. But then we also talked about
that deal on Kirkwood with the basketball program last night.
Speaker 4 (01:47:15):
That looked like that went really well.
Speaker 2 (01:47:17):
And everybody's telling me that the sicily shot from the
balcony above five guys was absolutely true, So that is
good as well, also true how you can win tickets
to the game coming up on Sunday, the Raiders and
the Colts, our friends from Zink, Jim Junior, the Ganger here,
Grant and everybody. It's just an awesome time at Binkley's.
(01:47:40):
We're at College and Kessler and look who is joining
us again, the awesome Courtney, who is the owner five
years you.
Speaker 9 (01:47:47):
Say, right now, you're the only six in November.
Speaker 2 (01:47:50):
Six in November for what is an awesome And I
will tell you what the other thing about it is,
this is the best looking group we've ever had right here.
Everybody in here is just incredibly great looking. How do
you do is that? What is there a prerequisite to
come in and just look awesome?
Speaker 4 (01:48:06):
That's it.
Speaker 3 (01:48:07):
Beauty just attract.
Speaker 2 (01:48:09):
Beauty attracts beauty. There's no doubt Courtney has brought that
in right here.
Speaker 4 (01:48:15):
Man. Thank you for having us here.
Speaker 9 (01:48:17):
Today, Thank you for being here.
Speaker 4 (01:48:18):
Yeah, this has been fantastic. Got a busy weekend plan,
do you?
Speaker 3 (01:48:23):
I hope.
Speaker 9 (01:48:23):
So we got Butler That moda brings a team in
quite a bites he Oh, he does a lot. They
do a lot for us.
Speaker 4 (01:48:29):
That's a good dude.
Speaker 9 (01:48:30):
Pretty awesome.
Speaker 2 (01:48:31):
Yeah, this is one of the iconic spots here by
the way too. I mean, there's so much history with
this location and this part of Indianapolis has to make
it even more special for you.
Speaker 9 (01:48:42):
Yeah, we have people constantly coming and telling stories about
when this was a pharmacy when they were two years old,
ten years old. I mean it's pretty amazing.
Speaker 4 (01:48:52):
Wow, it is pretty awesome. It is really here too.
Speaker 2 (01:48:56):
So pizza wings, what else on that menu? I get
a lot rock you know, if you.
Speaker 9 (01:49:01):
Don't want to go heavy, you can do salads or
salads are pretty amazing too.
Speaker 2 (01:49:06):
Somebody had told me when they walked out that was
like the steak salad. You got steak salad. Yeah, I've
heard good things about that as well, no doubt.
Speaker 9 (01:49:16):
That's probably one of our number ones. We have wraps.
We pretty much cover all across the board.
Speaker 2 (01:49:21):
So have you had to try to evolve just a
little bit and enjoying the Steelers over this five year
almost six year process?
Speaker 9 (01:49:28):
Now you know, I just I walked in and I
just took them.
Speaker 3 (01:49:31):
In, did you?
Speaker 4 (01:49:31):
Oh?
Speaker 9 (01:49:32):
Yeah, it makes it very easy to embrace. No, what
makes you here than most?
Speaker 4 (01:49:36):
What makes you want to take over this?
Speaker 2 (01:49:38):
Because I mean there's there's a lot especially when you're
thinking about what five almost six years ago that the
COVID was going on, there's a lot of uncertainty, hear,
what made you want to walk in here.
Speaker 4 (01:49:48):
And do what you're doing right now at such a
high level.
Speaker 9 (01:49:52):
You know, honestly, I don't even know. I walked in
and then realized I had no idea what I was doing.
Speaker 4 (01:49:56):
Cool, great, not.
Speaker 9 (01:49:57):
Gonna lie my entire life there, and we just we
went with it. And my staff picked me up and
was like, we're doing it, and we did and we're
still here.
Speaker 2 (01:50:05):
So and and like when you mentioned that, situations like that,
normally you lean on people that have been there and
done that with the knowledge, and I'm assuming with your
staff it's been pretty nice to be able to lean
on people with that knowledge.
Speaker 4 (01:50:19):
Maybe at that point in time you didn't have.
Speaker 9 (01:50:21):
We did it together, that's what we learned.
Speaker 3 (01:50:23):
Yeah, because nobody.
Speaker 9 (01:50:24):
Knew what they were doing.
Speaker 4 (01:50:26):
Yeah, well this has been everything that I thought.
Speaker 2 (01:50:29):
And we'll certainly hang around anything going on this week,
And you want to talk about in weeks to come, Well,
are we going to be back? Sure as hell better,
I hope.
Speaker 9 (01:50:38):
So if you guys will come back.
Speaker 2 (01:50:39):
We got to get we gotta get Zike and I
know they're all down there right now to bring us
back here, I'm telling you, and I know that my
my good friend Brett Halverson of Heaven Hill probably couldn't
from Seymour.
Speaker 9 (01:50:51):
He grew up in the Indian from.
Speaker 2 (01:50:54):
Oh your your husband from Seymour. Brett Halverson is from Seymour's. Now,
where are you originally from?
Speaker 9 (01:50:59):
Any I've been in four six two two o my whole.
Speaker 4 (01:51:01):
Life, all right, So where'd you go to high school?
Speaker 2 (01:51:03):
Here? Sard star? Wow, that makes sense. That's why you
got such a Chatard influence going on here?
Speaker 4 (01:51:09):
I do as well. Nothing wrong with that, all right, Courtney?
Speaker 2 (01:51:12):
What are your hours and times? And make sure everybody
knows how they can come by.
Speaker 9 (01:51:16):
And catch up Our bars up until midnight every night.
There's tons of sports going on, so our kitchen typically
closes ten o'clock during the week and eleven o'clock on
the weekends.
Speaker 4 (01:51:26):
Well, hey, thank you for having us. Thank you, this
has been absolutely outstanding.
Speaker 9 (01:51:30):
This has been wonderful.
Speaker 2 (01:51:31):
And make sure Jim Junior or the gang from saying
bring us back or Brent brings us over here as well.

I think would go really well and ask here at
some point.
Speaker 4 (01:51:44):
So yeah, awesome, Hey, thank you very much. Cortney.
Speaker 2 (01:51:47):
Courtney is the owner asked for Courtney when you come
to Binkley's here, here you go. We'll get a round
of applause for Corty right there on the show. Bet
thank you all for hawking when you drive by as well.
We would rather you stop and take part in our event.
But if you honk and you know and you tell
people that you're listening, that's been pretty awesome. Thank you

(01:52:10):
the owner of Bankley's here today on a Budlight Blue
Friday Raiders Colts tickets. We still have those to give away.
Got a busy weekend coming up. I'll explain my man
Harley d has been riding shot good with the All Show.
I do appreciate to add as well. Hey two three
nine ten seventy. That is the text line too. This
is from Matty Matt JMV. I heard you talking about
(01:52:32):
Cecily's rooftop shot earlier on the show. Matty Matt says
it took him seven attempts to hit it.
Speaker 4 (01:52:40):
I don't listen. I don't care if it took him
one hundred. That's incredible to watch that.
Speaker 2 (01:52:48):

and I shouldn't mention this too. This is going to
be a Thursday, and that's going to be a larceny

a couple of thanks to no Major League Baseball later
on tonight the wild card games are all complete. Now
it does officially get underway coming up tomorrow. You've got
a lot going on as far as the NLDS is concerned.
Game one comes on the road in Milwaukee. That is
(01:53:34):
underway at two o'clock, coming up tomorrow afternoon, So Cubs fans,
I know you're going to be caring about that. Yankees

coming up tomorrow afternoon, Game one other al Ds, Dodgers
and Phillies from Philadelphia a little bit after six tomorrow night.
(01:53:54):
Game one of the NLDS and the Tigers and the Mariners.
So some people'll see if the baseball team, for example,
like the Mariners, Phillies, Blue Jays, and Brewers, if it
will take them a little bit of a minute to
get started. If you view that kind of like what
we view the NFL and Wild Cards, where if you
(01:54:16):
get started the previous week, you kind of already and
more prepared for what's up man ready or more prepared
for what's to come in the divisional round. We'll see
if that holds true in Major League Baseball coming up
tomorrow as the Division Series Game one's all officially get underway.

officially hooked. I don't think there's any way that Meg's
not going to show up to any more live shows
for us, we've had so many great folks and obviously
with Courtney the owner of where we are today Binkley's

Speaker 2 (01:58:48):
Meantime. Two three, nine, ten seventy is that number? Harley
d Man's been hanging with me as well. Let's get
add him on here before the end of the show. Adam,
thank you for the time. How are you brother?
Speaker 1 (01:59:00):
How you been on Happy Friday?
Speaker 4 (01:59:02):
Are you running anywhere this weekend?
Speaker 13 (01:59:04):
Adam, I'll be running tomorrow a little bit.
Speaker 8 (01:59:07):
I gotta wait.
Speaker 13 (01:59:08):
My best friend from high school, so about nineteen years
he's flying in to hang out with me for the weekend.
It was his birthday on the twenty eighth, I believe
it was. And I'm taking him to his first official
NFL game on Sunday.
Speaker 2 (01:59:25):
Well, are you gonna come by and see me in
Touchdowntown on Sunday?
Speaker 1 (01:59:29):
Oh yeah, of course, of course, I gotta.
Speaker 13 (01:59:31):
I gotta give you a shout out, and then I'm
gonna say if you can listen to you over there
where he lives.
Speaker 2 (01:59:36):
He lives in Arizona, So, oh, Roy, He's coming in
from Arizona.
Speaker 4 (01:59:40):
All great.
Speaker 13 (01:59:42):
Yeah, we went to school together in Illinois High school
and then I went to the military and he went
off to do his thing. And the first official football
game I told him, I said, man, I got you,
come on down.
Speaker 2 (01:59:54):
That is outstanding right there. Well, shout out to him
and Adam. We cannot wait to see you guys coming
up on Sunday. You got any any picks, any predictions
for us?
Speaker 8 (02:00:06):
Well, I'm hoping the Colt shut down. Uh, you know,
they need to.
Speaker 13 (02:00:09):
We need this win at the home turf. So I'm
hoping we can catch a rebuttal from that last game
and fix a few things. I mean, I'm pretty pretty
upset that, you know, Alex Pierce is out still, But
I mean, I'm sure we can handle a business.
Speaker 4 (02:00:26):
Yeah, well, and they should.
Speaker 2 (02:00:29):
I hate the Dali Pierce's I hate it more because
consistently that's been kind of a situation with him, and
that's that's a bummer too. But uh, yeah, I would
agree with you. You have an opportunity here, Adam. You have
coming up on Sunday, a Raiders team without a left
tackle or backup left tackle, and then the Cardinals are
in here next week and then you go on the
road in LA where they're without both tackles because of injury.
Speaker 4 (02:00:53):
I mean, you have a really good opportunity.
Speaker 2 (02:00:55):
You talk about everybody Adam wanting this team to solidify,
their chance to solidify starts. Really this weekend they missed
that opportunity. And I think we all understand now that
they can play. I mean, they can't pay good to
hear from you. They can play with a team that's
as good as the Rams, but these are I think
(02:01:16):
back to back to back weeks of solidification for this team,
two at home and one.
Speaker 4 (02:01:21):
On the road.
Speaker 8 (02:01:22):
Yeah, and I believe. I believe we got it. I
believe we can do it.
Speaker 6 (02:01:26):
I believe Blue as well as you know.
Speaker 13 (02:01:27):
And I know you asked me earlier if I'm going
to go out run I got tomorrow loss. With my
boys coming in, I'm gonna go probably do a half
marathon by myself tomorrow.
Speaker 8 (02:01:37):
And just get cut for the weekend.
Speaker 13 (02:01:40):
I'm gonna hopefully will that shirt for you as well.
Speaker 4 (02:01:43):
Well. I can't wait now.
Speaker 2 (02:01:44):
I will say this, Your boys coming in and hanging
out sounds fun, but the running part sounds.
Speaker 4 (02:01:49):
Like punishment to me. Man, I don't know about that.
Speaker 8 (02:01:52):
Well, one of these days I might have to get
you out there.
Speaker 4 (02:01:54):
I mean here, how about.
Speaker 13 (02:01:55):
This, One of these days I'll go I'll go play
basketball with you if you go out on the track.
Speaker 4 (02:01:59):
Yeah, well we can do that. Well, I will say this.
Speaker 2 (02:02:02):
I know they're playing this weekend without me because I
have to start early at nine, so I can't play.
So I think they're actually going which is really unfathomable
how they're actually playing without me, But they are going
to play. Evidently they're going to play without me on Sunday.
Speaker 8 (02:02:17):
Man, that's not right.
Speaker 13 (02:02:18):
You should have a theme song when you walk into building.
Speaker 4 (02:02:20):
Yeah, no doubt.
Speaker 2 (02:02:21):
I should walk right into south Portfield House a little.
Speaker 4 (02:02:24):
Bit of something right there.
Speaker 2 (02:02:25):
All right, Adam, I'll see in touchdown Town coming up
on Sunday.
Speaker 8 (02:02:29):
All right, sound good, johnthan.
Speaker 2 (02:02:31):
Ah Man, there you go. Man, Binkley's has been outstanding.
I do have sad moves to share. If you remember him,
I believe he was James was he now? That Gregson
signing during the Ryan Grigson era. Former Ravens and Colts
defensive and Arthur Jones has passed away at the age
of thirty nine, and he is the brother it is
(02:02:55):
an incredibly athletic and successful family of UFC fighter on
Bone Jones and also defensive lineman Chandler Jones. Arthur Jones
spent time here and Arthur Jones passed away at.
Speaker 4 (02:03:12):
The age of thirty nine.
Speaker 2 (02:03:15):
That was reported over the course of this show. So
certainly sad news regarding that today. And I want to
thank everybody. Alicia, thank you very much. You are outstanding.
Two days in a row for Alicia's hook to right here.
Alisha and Meg both there's zero way they're not going
to want to be involved in our live shows for

Billy was here as well, Jeremiah, Melissa, all of our
friends that follow around the show.
Speaker 4 (02:03:44):
They're awesome. Thank you guys for that.
Speaker 2 (02:03:47):
And I want to thank our good friends here now
at Binkley's and here's hoping that we can get back
here again at Kessler and College for another show a
bud Light Blue Friday, Zinc and our friends next Friday.
I want to say we're at Sam Silver Circle next Friday.
Are we not near Fountain Square? That is another great
(02:04:08):

next Friday on a bud Light Blue Friday. We're going

Speaker 4 (02:04:20):
