Speaker 1 (00:10):
And here we go here.
Speaker 2 (00:13):
Anything you have a chance against us, mister cowboy?
Speaker 3 (00:16):
Okay, what you like to do?
Speaker 2 (00:18):
Oh?
Speaker 3 (00:19):
I don't know.
Speaker 2 (00:20):
Play chess?
Speaker 4 (00:21):
Screw Sweller's play chest.
Speaker 3 (00:23):
They give off the Jonathan Taylor Chuck cunning its way
clock to the goal line. He's in there, cut down
and dye.
Speaker 5 (00:31):
Why Jonathan Taylor reeler finds corn.
Speaker 1 (00:36):
Here's Hanniker into the front court, mishandled it against a
shot he hands it.
Speaker 3 (00:43):
John. I have never been better to be on the
air with you here in Indianapolis, a place where so
many of my dreams have come.
Speaker 1 (00:51):
True with the ride with jmvy on ninety three five
and one oh seven.
Speaker 2 (00:55):
Five the Fat Place.
Speaker 3 (00:57):
All right, ladies and gentlemen, here we go.
Speaker 6 (01:00):
So Mystic Waters Campground is our site. This is the
third annual Labor Day weekend bender with heaven Hill Distillery.
Speaker 3 (01:10):
And here's what this weekend entails.
Speaker 6 (01:13):
I was just explaining this if you were listening to
the Crossover with Jake and I brought to you by
Love Heating and Air three five three twenty one forty one.
Today I lovedashhvac dot com. You kind of know a
little bit about this. We do a lot of the
summertime of certainly sports combined with outdoor a little recreation,
(01:34):
a little barbecue, is smoking of meat, you know, all
that we kind of mix in. And you know, obviously
when we get near the end of the summer, we
want to celebrate that, but we also realize on the
horizon is going to be a football season. So a
week from Sunday, the Colts are officially underway against the Dolphins.
Speaker 3 (01:53):
For example, next Tuesday.
Speaker 6 (01:55):
Rick Venturie will join us with his state of the
Colts to start the sea and that certainly is going
to be a football conversation you will not want to miss.
But leading up to next week, it is about all
of us, and I mean you and us having one
hell of a time. And it's always kind of the
(02:15):
summer last blast, and I'm in the minority loving it
hot and sweaty. Even before the whole weight loss thing,
I loved it hot and sweaty and shirtless, and I
probably grossed everybody out, but that was just the kind
of the way that it was, and that's certainly the
way that I was built. I'm from southern Indiana and
I run around shirtless, but I love it hot and
(02:36):
I love it sweaty. This however, a majority of the
folks out there love this weather. And this weekend, if
you're outside the day, this is the weekend weather we're
going to have the entirety, although maybe tomorrow and Sunday
a little bit warmer, it is going to be glorious.
So there's no one reason why you shouldn't join us.
(02:59):
And if you're asking, well, wait a minute, this is
a camp out weekend for you.
Speaker 3 (03:02):
Do you camp out?
Speaker 6 (03:03):
Well, I don't camp out, but I am in cabin
number thirty nine, the three nine, in honor of the
late great Now Hall of Fame Cobra Day Parker, thirty nine.
And if the cabin is a rocking, you can go
ahead and bother knocking, because the good time is going
to be on the.
Speaker 3 (03:22):
Inside, on the outside.
Speaker 6 (03:24):
At Mystic Waters Campground again right off of I sixty
nine in Pendleton, and I hate again to I'm not,
in fact the Chamber of Commerce guy for the community
of Pendleton, but man, is it awesome. What a great
looking town. I can understand why people would want to
live over there. It is outstanding. As I did a
little drive through a little bit earlier, I know Kylea.
(03:45):
Chelsea's going to join us. We have food available for
you that is courtesy of Tailor's Pub and Table just
down Ice sixty nine in Ingles. But the architect of
what we see right here, along with Lisa, the architect
of what we see right here at Mystic Waters Campground
and Heaven Hill Distillery and the third annual Labor Day
Weekend Bender, you can see right now on our YouTube
(04:07):
live feed, the Triple A Membership Lound. Let me introduce
to you one Brent Halverson. Brent, this weekend has glory
written all over it. It really does.
Speaker 3 (04:16):
Hello John, and absolutely my friend.
Speaker 7 (04:18):
What a beautiful day, what a great This is our
third annual, third annual Budy Weekend Bender, So we'll have
a lot of fun.
Speaker 3 (04:26):
It's just getting ready to get started. So coming out
and join us.
Speaker 7 (04:29):
We've got a lot going on today and we've got
a lot of great samples over there. We've got to
Nicole Miller. She is the new on premise nic Andrew
Miller for Heaven Hill. She's going to join us here
today for her.
Speaker 6 (04:43):
Shout out to Chad who just dropped us off some
hats and stuff. Chad better to be hanging around. That's
Chad Robbling now from Denver, Colorado, who comes in just
to celebrate this weekend. Look at that in the outstanding
traveling far from far away. Gottu some Rockies hats right here.
We may be the only ones that wear these. That's awesome.
Speaker 3 (04:59):
That's that. Let's right up your alley, right. I didn't
know that they had this logo.
Speaker 6 (05:03):
This logo is like a thousand times better than their
old logo and their team right now.
Speaker 7 (05:08):
Matter of it was at the opening game at Course
Field when they when they their very first game.
Speaker 3 (05:14):
I was there Colorado. Who was who was the starting pitcher?
Was it David? Something I had for lunches? You had
this starting pitcher?
Speaker 2 (05:24):
Then?
Speaker 6 (05:24):
I remember the starting pitcher because they and the then
Florida Marlins entered Major League Baseball together as its bension team. Absolutely,
Charlie Huff, the knuckleballer I believe, was the first pitcher
to start a game for the Marlins. It was it David.
What can I think of the name right now of
the Colorado Rockies, But you were actually there.
Speaker 3 (05:45):
I was there.
Speaker 7 (05:45):
It was the very first game at Course Field and
we all got inaugural pins and I Remember I was
an outfield and it was right over the bullpen out there, right,
and it's just it's probably the most beautiful bullpen I've
ever seen out there. It's just beautiful waterfall and trees
and you know, just something very unique.
Speaker 6 (06:02):
And that's also before tree was legalized there too, so
maybe yeah, you're only tripping the light. Fantastic.
Speaker 3 (06:09):
I was living the Rocky Mount High you know, before
it was out there.
Speaker 6 (06:13):
One is Brent Olimerson and the invite is out. We
want to make sure the red carpet is always out here.
So you're telling people they need to show up, and
show up right now, start filtering in for the Labor
Day weekend.
Speaker 7 (06:24):
Bender absolutely, so it's uh, you know, come out and
join us if we do have some. We've got plenty
of tent sites available. I think we're all sold out
on cabins and r V spots, but there might be
one out there, So call up at Mystic Waters in
the Lodge. They'll get you taken care of. But I
will tell you this, I mean, with this weather, I
mean it is a great time to be outside. It
is a great time to come out here. You got
(06:44):
we got great samples, we got a.
Speaker 3 (06:46):
Full on bar over there. I just took a picture
and sent that out. That's incredible.
Speaker 6 (06:50):
That's nice, nice, absolutely incredible, And that's how you sample
things right there, as we got bar keeps over there
ready to oblige.
Speaker 3 (06:58):
All you have to do is show up right here, and.
Speaker 7 (07:00):
We have Taylor's bar and table that have brought the
wonderful food.
Speaker 6 (07:04):
Their food is outstanding. We got to get Child and
Chelsea over here right now too. Chelsea and Kyle. We've
got the two, We've got the whole crew out.
Speaker 3 (07:12):
Here right now. This is outstanding.
Speaker 6 (07:13):
So I saw what they brought and it is a
great spread per usual right there. I know Kyle's got
to get to a high school football game. We're not
going to leave you out out of there because Bob
Lovel is going to join us. Night number two on
a Friday of high school football is coming up later
on this evening as well, So we got you covered there.
Don Fisher with IU Old the Menion coming up later on.
I mentioned to Kevin Nealon nine seasons on SNL just
(07:34):
an incredible long talent in a career.
Speaker 3 (07:38):
It's really tough to maintain like that.
Speaker 6 (07:40):
Kevin Neilan has done and he's spending the weekend here
in Indy Downtown and Helium Comedy Club. He's going to
join us. Schedule to join us at the bottom of
the hour. So Chelsea and Kyle from Taylor's Pub and Table.
Just down the way here, guys as Indiana. Yeah, absolutely,
right down the way. Thank you for bringing the food.
Speaker 3 (07:56):
Yes, thank you for us Thanks including us.
Speaker 2 (08:00):
Great.
Speaker 6 (08:00):
It is incredible. Now you're coming back. You're going to
a football game, to go to football.
Speaker 5 (08:04):
My daughter's dancing or the shout out to the Carmel Charisma. Okay,
my daughter Macy is dancing over there before the football game.
We're gonna get over there watch her dance.
Speaker 6 (08:14):
Are you gonna bring Kevin right back here after the
football game too? If he needs a.
Speaker 3 (08:20):
Yeah, we'll get him taken care of. Yeah.
Speaker 6 (08:23):
So it's we're trying to keep Brent dialed down a
little bit because he's still euphoric with the deal yesterday.
Speaker 3 (08:29):
With Michael Parsons and the Packers.
Speaker 6 (08:31):
That is that is still unbelievable, and on the surface
right now, it looks like the worst deal of all
time for Dallas.
Speaker 3 (08:37):
I mean it really does.
Speaker 6 (08:39):
It looks like the worst deal of all you're going
away minute two late round picks, and you know, you
get a thirty year old defensive lineman. Now, I guess
if you have a disgruntled guy and the two sides
are going to meet somewhere in the middle, that's one thing.
Speaker 3 (08:51):
And he would bet h the third high dollar guy
on that team. That's mill the road anyway.
Speaker 6 (08:56):
But man, that is a rough way to go about
having to somebody.
Speaker 3 (09:00):
It really is, you know.
Speaker 7 (09:01):
And I saw all kinds of stuff people will send
me last night, Jerry Jones memes and all this stuff,
and I just love it because I do not like
the Cowboys. You know, they're probably my second most hated
team behind those Chicago Bears.
Speaker 6 (09:13):
Chelsea, what are we thinking about the star of the
NFL season? Because you're always our insider every time we
come over there with larceny bourbon locks and Luna's ult
tequila shots there. Oh well, I mean, I gotta kind
of I gotta put the pressure on you just a
little bit.
Speaker 3 (09:26):
What are you thinking about the start of the season.
Speaker 8 (09:28):
It'll be fun.
Speaker 9 (09:29):
I saw my favorite meme last night was Luca next
to Micah Parsons showing this Dallas sports fan eight months
ago it is.
Speaker 3 (09:38):
It is crazy.
Speaker 6 (09:39):
You got anybody that you like, especially I know you
kind of tend to live more in the betting world too,
but you al do you always come correct nicely.
Speaker 9 (09:46):
Don I'm excited to see what the Bills do this year, honestly,
I don't.
Speaker 3 (09:50):
I don't know.
Speaker 9 (09:50):
Watching Hard Knocks that was that was fun seeing they're
the inside parts of their worlds. But it's one of
those teams where I can't really like hate them.
Speaker 8 (09:59):
I've I like them. I just they can never get
past the Chiefs. So we'll see.
Speaker 6 (10:03):
Yeah, it needs some receiver help, I think is their
biggest thing right there.
Speaker 3 (10:06):
That's all they need. They're a big receiver short right now.
Speaker 6 (10:09):
It is interesting to see how teams kind of recalibrate,
especially after the first month or so, see what they
have and see what is necessary right here. It makes
you wonder what the Colts are going to be looking
at in that capacity to if there's one exciting thing
about the Colts, guys and Cole, we can start with
you there on the end, what what's the most exciting
thing about the Colts? And most fans it probably would
(10:31):
take them that long to come to a conclusion as well. Yeah, Jones,
are we Yes, we have to be well, I mean unless.
Speaker 3 (10:38):
You unless you want to trash the season.
Speaker 6 (10:40):
Yeah, and the season you know, may end up getting
trashed anyway, but hell, you might as go out and
try to win a game or two, right, And that's
clearly what they're trying to do. So yeah, Daniel Jones,
what for you, Chelsea?
Speaker 8 (10:52):
I said it last time. Defense is going to carry us? Yeah, well,
I think they're going to have to.
Speaker 6 (10:58):
We have seen, unlike any other team that Chris Baller's
been here stinking forever. But we've seen, like any other
team him put so much stock and time and focus
in on the secondary unlick we have ever seen. So
they bring lou Ron Rumo in, that's his style of play,
and they have to their best of ability with a
(11:19):
lot of veterans too in the mix. Tried to Brint
mix in a lot of guys as far as that
secondary is can sort of get to a level we've
not seen with Ballad while he's been here.
Speaker 7 (11:27):
Yeah, And like Chelsea said, they've got to carry the
Colts to keep minute right, and you've got to get
Daniel Jones.
Speaker 3 (11:32):
He's got to come back. He's got to be that
like comeback.
Speaker 7 (11:34):
Player of the Year status, and that's gonna be that's
I don't know if that's a thing or not, but
hopefully that'll happen. But yeah, the defenses out there are good.
I mean, it's it's going to be interesting to see
that where they start off with Miami on a week.
Speaker 3 (11:46):
From Sunday, already, that's outstanding. That is as must win
as a week one game. As you know, we're a
everybody jokes about me being must win. Ah man, that's
just you when you're trying to destroy the pod. Must
have win in week one. This is a must win.
Is the game in week one ever, And I don't.
Speaker 6 (12:02):
Care if you can do the math and they can
make it still and there's no problem if you don't
have to win in week one.
Speaker 3 (12:08):
This team has shown a history of being an absolute.
Speaker 6 (12:11):
Mess in the week number one, and you want to
give any sign of hope whatsoever, you go out and
win in week one. So I think it's past the
mathematics and you know what is necessary on paper to
win and what you have and what you don't have
to have in this case, Sprint, this is a have
to It is a whole week from Sunday against the Dolphins.
Speaker 7 (12:30):
And you know it's a you know you look at
the line of culture favorite, right, So that's good to see.
I mean that Miami squad there there, it's gonna be
interesting to see how they even come out and play, right,
Like I mean, you know, too is to us. So
he's gonna be interesting to watch a chan what he's
gonna get going. You know, you got Tyreek Hill and
Jalen Waddle out on those outsides. Courts have to have
some good covers and hold those guys in check.
Speaker 3 (12:50):
It's our Brent.
Speaker 6 (12:51):
Holverson right there, our third annual Labor Day weekend bender
at Mystic Waters Campground and Pendleton right off of I
sixty nine. We would love to see you here. Uh,
this is just the beginning of the parties. And we
got to thank Taylor's Pub and Table both Kelsey and
uh Chelsea. I'm sorry, I'm gonna want to tell you
Kelsey all the time, Chelsea, Taylor's I think, Kyle. Yeah,
(13:14):
So Taylor's Bar and Table, I call it pub and Table.
Speaker 3 (13:16):
I'm just all over the ice. They got the.
Speaker 6 (13:18):
Taylor's card, right, they give me a queue card. So
Kyle and Chelsea are here as well. What are the
hours for the Ingles location too?
Speaker 9 (13:29):
We open at eleven through the week. We close at
ten pm Friday Saturday eleven pm.
Speaker 3 (13:34):
Yeah, so that's uh, that's.
Speaker 8 (13:35):
Actually take your kids to that one too.
Speaker 7 (13:38):
And the food is outstanding, the staff is outstanding. I
mean it's great. It's it's an Exit two fourteen, just
five miles down the road from mistic Waters here.
Speaker 6 (13:46):
And you guys open what our wise? Kyle, what do
you guys got at Ingles over there for people? Hours wise?
How later you open?
Speaker 3 (13:54):
I guess is what I'm asking. We're open to ten
or there you go. It just depends you kind of
look like you know either. I was, yeah, well we'll
cover that again that's my problem.
Speaker 6 (14:07):
Yeah, like fifteen minutes in, I don't know what my
problem is, Senile. I guess a little bit here, But no,
thank you guys for bringing out the food.
Speaker 3 (14:17):
We appreciate this this thing.
Speaker 5 (14:19):
It's a it's a pretty natural little partnership with these guys,
considering they're they're right down the road. Yes, you can
sit right here on the patio and order delivery from
Taylor's Barron table.
Speaker 3 (14:28):
If you get to our website, you.
Speaker 5 (14:29):
Can or order your food and not have to get
out of your seat here.
Speaker 6 (14:33):
All right, and you're gonna make some picks for us
later on this year, right, I sure will. Yeah, we
can't wait for You're always pretty on target with that though.
You do pretty well. Are you a gambler?
Speaker 3 (14:42):
Yeah?
Speaker 8 (14:44):
How do you think I buy my shoes?
Speaker 3 (14:47):
That's the other thing you are too, which I'm a
big fan of.
Speaker 8 (14:50):
Takes good care of it.
Speaker 3 (14:53):
Hook for the shoes right there, They like that.
Speaker 8 (14:56):
Some work shoes today.
Speaker 3 (14:58):
So how many how many pair of shoes do you have?
And you have some that are just on display, just
on display shoes, Like, what's your best, most famous, most
popular pair of shoes on display?
Speaker 8 (15:10):
I've got a pair of slim Shady threes.
Speaker 3 (15:14):
I've never even heard of this, Jordan threes, So Eminem
shoes from their Jordan's Okay, Jordan threes. When did they
What year did they come out?
Speaker 9 (15:26):
I don't even remember. I've only worn them one time.
I went to a oh Lion Seahawks game in Detroit
and I wore them one time for that and they
went right back in a case.
Speaker 6 (15:36):
So you have a price tag for the slim Shadies
right there.
Speaker 3 (15:41):
What's theta I haven't.
Speaker 8 (15:42):
Looked in a while, but it's uh, it's up there.
Speaker 3 (15:46):
Wow, that's nice.
Speaker 9 (15:48):
You're out here giving away your cabin number. I'm not
I'm not telling people where I live.
Speaker 3 (15:53):
Shoes the part three, it sounds like I've already like
partied a bunch and hell I just pulled up here
like one or so. So I'm all good.
Speaker 8 (16:02):
Pissed water out here?
Speaker 6 (16:03):
Thanks, yes, answer, well, this is this is the life water.
I got to have that for to live. Right there,
life water.
Speaker 3 (16:13):
Yeah, it does kind of look like I think honestly,
in Green County, that's what my water used to look
like right there.
Speaker 6 (16:20):
I think I showered in the water just like that
right there. All right, Hey, guys, thank you very much
for supplying the food. We appreciate that. And you're coming back.
Speaker 3 (16:29):
Kyle, right back, man, I'm gonna hang out with you guys.
Are we Chelsea are coming back or not?
Speaker 8 (16:33):
We're ready for all season over at barn Table.
Speaker 3 (16:37):
We've got college football later off tonight once again. Have
the openers last night. You got eye you and Purdue
both underway. Notre Dame later on this weekend. It'll be
a fantastic weekend. And the best time of the year
for us. I know my man Todd over there is
going to Columbus tomorrow for Ohio State in Texas, the
Longhorned guy walking the gear right there, a little arm
planning action, so it should be fun.
Speaker 6 (16:59):
But no, guys, thank you for much for all that
you do for us. And by the way, we should
remind folks Kyle that we're going to be a Nora
coming up a week from today. That's a week from
today in Nora at Taylor's. Yeah, we'll be ready to
walk season. We're giving away tickets.
Speaker 3 (17:14):
Thank you, guys. Can't wait to see you back. If
you can imagine how I sound now, just wait till
like nine o'clock tonight right here, forty nine over there,
I've been rocking. Come on in, don't bother knocking. Thanks guys,
thank you, thank you, guys.
Speaker 6 (17:28):
Chelsea right there from at Taylor's Bar and table in Ingles,
just right down the road off of I sixty nine
rent right down the road and awesome people.
Speaker 7 (17:38):
And it's a pleasure to have you guys a lot
of here, guys. I love being able to see Kyle
out here all the time too. So uh yeah, so anyway,
come out and join us and get out here for
five dollars or I'll throw this out here too. So
Sira's doing a shoe drive right, yes, so I'll tell
you right now, if you bring a pair of gently
worn shoes or ext pair of shoes out here, we'll
go ahead and get you in with a pair of shoes.
Speaker 3 (17:57):
How about that here? What did Chelsea call my water?
Speaker 2 (18:00):
Well?
Speaker 10 (18:00):
Water?
Speaker 3 (18:00):
Looks like well water?
Speaker 6 (18:02):
Wait a minute, it's not bad. But see you've got
the water of life right life water, it says three
times triple filtered. So let's get a stands for something
right there, triple filtering that stuff.
Speaker 3 (18:15):
Hey, all right, we're gonna get under way here.
Speaker 6 (18:17):
We've got a busy show for you. We just want
to see you out here. How can people get here
and be a part of what we're doing?
Speaker 3 (18:23):
You know? On the third annual Brent, come on out.
Speaker 7 (18:25):
Let's say just up I sixty nine, exit two nineteen,
the Pendleton exit. You'll turn left, go around the roundabout
and it'll bring it right down. We're just off the
interstate there, So come on out, and let's say it's
five dollars or bring a pair of shoes out here
for donation, and SER's doing a little amazing thing where
she's collecting some shoes and donating.
Speaker 3 (18:43):
She's about six foot two right now. I mean, my goodness. Well,
hopefully when does all this happened, Hopefully.
Speaker 6 (18:49):
We'll get We'll get Sierra up here to talk a
little bit about the soul shine.
Speaker 3 (18:53):
She's a talker.
Speaker 6 (18:54):
I'm like, Sierra will do it right if she follows
in the footsteps of her dad.
Speaker 3 (18:58):
He's over there. She's walking in though she's ducked out
a little bit, but she's getting tall. Thet house. Everything
going with the Mount Vernon volleyball team so good. They
are eight and one. Actually dropped the game to Garin
the other night, which is which was mentioned Brian Cardinals,
So Ran Carl, I'm sorry daughter plays on that team.
(19:18):
She was she was outstanding. But I know the girls.
Speaker 7 (19:21):
They had three games this week Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, and
they won of course two of those lost one. So
they're sitting at eight and one on the season, and
I believe they're ranked in the top ten in the state.
So uh, they're they're gonna be a force to reckon with.
There's nine senior girls on that squad. Yeah, and they've
been playing together. Sierra and live in Aubrey have played
varsity since their freshman year. So this is their year
(19:44):
to go after it, and I think they can do it. Yeah,
she's giving us the thumbs up. By the way, the
growth of that school to me is incredible.
Speaker 3 (19:52):
No, it is of mal Vernon, you know, it's an
amazing it was like it really has really reminds me
of cine Grove where it just used to be a
country school and now it's kind of evolving into one
of the larger and certainly one of the more impactful athletically.
Season after sports season doesn't really matter what you're playing.
Seems like they're winning.
Speaker 6 (20:13):
They've got a lot of great things going on. Playing
in four A. So I mean they've kid going to
Purdue over there. That's a luke Urdle, Yes, Luke Erdle.
Luke Erle left hander. He is a he's dud man,
has it. He can shoot it as well as me,
but he would have to show it. You know, what
is still a challenge going on. I might like to
I'm to take the young buck on that one. I'll
(20:33):
be honest with you. I struggle guarding left handers because
for whatever reason, I'm so stupid. I end up like
when I get out defensively, I will get on there
everybody's right hand because I'm assuming everybody's.
Speaker 3 (20:44):
Right handed and the left hander just bus right by me.
But if you know that going in, don't you kind
of change your really dumb that's the problem.
Speaker 6 (20:52):
I think that's been my biggest problem all my life
is I'm just so stupid that that's what happens. Yeah,
left handers just go right buy me and then finish. Really,
once you get about ten steps from the rim, they're
going to have a pretty easy finish against me because I'm.
Speaker 3 (21:08):
Going to go I don't like this contact stuff very much.
Speaker 7 (21:11):
But Luke Curly yep. And you know hey, and again
the Mount Vernon soccer team. Serious boyfriend, Brady Webber awesome,
awesome kid too. Man, this guy he is great. But
those they're doing great too. And Charlie Cole drop he
kicked six goals the other night a thing too. I
mean they're dropping some stuff going on over there. They've
got they've got a goo little sports program and it's
cool John to see the growth, like you mentioned, right,
(21:32):
I mean, everybody's it's kind of moving that way, mccordsville, Fortville. Yeah,
it's it's pretty outstanding. And you know, recent we switch
school districts was really because of that, right, Like so
three hundred and fifty.
Speaker 6 (21:43):
Kids in their class now everybody doing that, Seymour, well
there's a lot of them doing it.
Speaker 3 (21:47):
Yeah, absolutely.
Speaker 6 (21:48):
So the show brought to you by Mount Vernon and
uh they also the South Madison School Dristic which is
Pendleton Hyps town of Pendleton. Right here, that's our location,
Mystic Waters Campground, Brown one more time before the break here,
people can join us now and then all week in

Speaker 7 (22:05):

five dollars you can get in, come in. We've got

We've got a coffee truck out here. We've got a

Bar and table with some amazing food out there right now.
And then like I say, later tonight, we've got the
food truck. And then Sammy and Cully will be playing
tonight about seven o'clock. And Sammy Farres her voice is
(22:28):
absolutely amazing. Jason Colly's guitar playing unbelievable. So we've got
a lot of fun tonight. Tomorrow it all starts up again.
We've got some music in the afternoon with way Day,
and we also have a shuffleboard tournament tomorrow. Come on
out and have a chance to win some amazing prizes.
I'll tell you that. There's also a little float contest,

most amazing float's gonna win a prize, and the best
(22:49):
float name is also going to win a prize. So
and then we're gonna cap it off with the third
edition of the J and V Takeover live out here
at Mister Waters from six to twelve tomorrow, Night.
Speaker 6 (23:00):
One, O five point seven. Brett, let's take a break
and we'll come back. I mentioned Voice of the Hoosiers
Don Fisher coming up. Pat Sullivan hashtag ass Pat. I'm
going to send out that picture free Eddie and Sauce
Yeddi and Sauce. I'll explain a little bit later on
in the show as well.
Speaker 3 (23:17):
Bob Lovell.
Speaker 6 (23:18):
It is Friday number two of high school football with
Bob coming up. But on the other side, we are
scheduled to be joined by Kevin Nalan, actor comedian nine
Seasons I Believe on SNL. Kevin Nilan is spending the
weekend at Indy and with that he wants to be
a part. He wants a piece of the third annual
Labor Day weekend bender. Mystic Waters Campground outside of Pendleton

Stream and the app, HD Radio, the Triple A Membership
Lounge via YouTube live and ninety three to five and
one oh seven five The Fan.
Speaker 1 (23:54):
The Ride with JMV.
Speaker 2 (23:56):
It's a drugs Danny. Every game good, So what's problem?
I don't know?
Speaker 1 (24:00):
Ninety three five and one oh seven five the Fan, Oh.
Speaker 3 (24:07):
Thank you for joining us. Campsy on site Engineer James
back at the studio Mystic Waters Campground on a Friday,
Jamie takeoff for the All Request Saturday Night powered by
Big Red Liquors Tomorrow night right here six until midnight.
And basically this is a hangout session all week in long,
(24:28):
starting right now Mystic Water's Campground. We are outside of Pentton,
off of I sixty nine, very easy to find, very
easy to get to and there's no question with us
a very easy hang we're looking for you with heaven
Hill Distillery and Taylor's Bar and table with the food
right now that is going on which is open for
(24:50):
them right down the way in Ingles, and Brent Holverson
rejoins us as he's going to be here not only
later on today with us, but throughout the weekend.
Speaker 6 (24:58):
My brother, this was a the idea. This was your
brain child back in the day right here, This was it.
You know, it was pretty awesome, man, I mean, this
all came together. This was back in twenty one. I'm
driving back.
Speaker 7 (25:09):
I was working in Muncie, coming back from a meeting,
and I remember this used to be a pine lake,
so yeah, we've cleansed that name. It was a pay
Lake fishing spot. And as I was driving by John,
they were rolling out a tape that said for sail
by owner and just kind of got on the Google machine,
did a little little look and thinking, I don't know
if that's solid, and like, hey, this might be something
(25:29):
we can do. So I went over to Lisa and
today you went buy a campground. And you know, we
talk about and laugh about that quite a bit, but
you know, what Lisa has done out here is tremendous.
Speaker 3 (25:39):
And we're blessed to have.
Speaker 7 (25:41):
The staff out here. The staff is what makes this
place to the vibe is awesome. Everybody that stays out here.
Speaker 6 (25:46):
We've got a lot of people and just it's been amazing,
my friend.
Speaker 7 (25:49):
And you know, I think you've probably seen over the
years we do a little bit of upgrades here and there.
We've done a lot out here this over the past
three or four years. So it's our fourth season right now,
and this is our annual weekend bender. So it's an
honor to have you out here man and celebrate the
Labor Day weekend in style.
Speaker 6 (26:06):
Yeah, I don't I don't know what would have inspired
you to buy a campground in that fashion, but that's
pretty awesome right now with that vision.
Speaker 7 (26:15):
You know, I used to camp here in the early
nineties seeing some shows at Deer Creek and there was
no infrastructure. There's no buildings or anything. It was just
land and thousands of people camping out here. Just a great,
great property.
Speaker 6 (26:27):
And again it did its thing for a few years,
and we saw a great opportunity not only for thirty
eight acres of land right off the interstate, but to
bring to life what we love to do and that's
being outdoors camping. You know, we're nine miles north of
Deer Creek or ru Off if you will, So tying
in some shows is a little piece of the puzzle.
But we do all kinds of stuff out here, from
(26:48):
weddings to class reunions to family gatherings. I mean, all
kinds of fun stuff.
Speaker 7 (26:54):
And with twenty five cabins, ADRV sites and hundreds of
tent sites, there's enough out here for everybody. Kayaking, paddle boarding, swimming,
there's a beach, we've got two other bodies of water
that we allow catching a lease fishing for so again,
just getting outdoors, right, you know, getting outdoors and enjoying it.
Speaker 3 (27:10):
And days like today, Yes, it does not get much
better than this. My friend Luke Bryan was last night.
Luke Bryan was. That's one of the bigger shows at Ruwolph,
is it not. You know, it was a.
Speaker 7 (27:20):
It's been a little bit different of a schedule for
Off this year.
Speaker 6 (27:24):
People nation have been too fond of the schedule this
year and the schedule is better last year, but you
got to remember it was a reschedule a Pearl Jam
which was on the list. That was a big deal, right,
how Chili Pepper was a part of it a year
ago as well.
Speaker 3 (27:38):
Yeah.
Speaker 7 (27:39):
Absolutely, And you know for us, I mean like Dave
Matthew's band every year is out here and we'll have
six hundred people out here and it's awesome. We do
shuttles for every show, so you know, twenty five dollars
get you to and from. That's what cost a park
over there these days. Yes, come out of here, stay
with us and get a nice safe ride to and
fro and be able to enjoy the thirty eight acres
(27:59):
out here that we love to be a part of.
Speaker 3 (28:01):
What shows are going on this week? I know Billy Idol,
The Idol and Tomorrow. Yeah, and then I think there's
a is it Falling in Reverse? I don't even know
who that is. I think that's Sunday.
Speaker 6 (28:12):
I believe that is a very hard rock, hardcore band
falling in Reverse.
Speaker 3 (28:19):
Do they have a song called Zombie something or other?
I couldn't tell you. Why would I know? I have
no idea. Why would I know that.
Speaker 6 (28:25):
I would think that maybe James back at the studio
is probably working some other angle right now and not
knowing that Falling in Reverse I think it's a bit
of a hard rocker.
Speaker 7 (28:35):
I think it is too Again, I don't know much
about them, but uh, and then I think after that,
you get next Friday, weeks from today, is panteraes out
there and it's not really.
Speaker 3 (28:44):
My gig either, but you know, hey, there's there's a
bunch of a bunch of dudes piling on each other
and the pit with Pantera will be good. You'd be
down the pit, wouldn't you. I probably not for Panta.
Speaker 6 (28:55):
I mean, why they I think they've been at a
festival that I've been a part of before. I don't
know if I would target going to see them, but
I've been a part of a festival where they've been
involved before.
Speaker 3 (29:06):
I mean in the nineties.
Speaker 6 (29:08):
They were different obviously than a lot of the alternative
bands that were coming out that we fell in love with,
but they kind of got swept into that particular pool
whenever they did these events and you know, the Lallapaloozas
and the you know, the big events where a lot
of bands got together, they kind of got lumped in
there as well a little bit, even though they weren't
they were really far from it.
Speaker 3 (29:28):
Right, No, you're absolutely right.
Speaker 7 (29:29):
You know, there's still some great shows coming up though too,
like Doobie Brothers and the Core River Band is the thirteenth,
I believe, And there's all kinds of good stuff happening still.
So we're you know, we're we're honored and excited to
be so close to be able to provide some transportation
to nice little getaway when you get a chance and dress.
Speaker 3 (29:47):
That's the number one thing. Be smart when you're driving
out there. There a couple of cocktails, So yes, no
doubt about that.
Speaker 6 (29:52):
I should mention to a couple of big ten games
coming up later on tonight. For you, if you started
out your college football schedule last night, it was weird
watching like the last couple of value quarterbacks quarterback other teams.
So Wresby you saw with Cincinnati and Tavan, and you
saw quarterback in Central Florida last night as well as Siths. Yeah,
(30:15):
I think it was Yeah with CF I think last
night where he was quarterbacking of memory serves right there
against North Carolina State, But kind of weird to see that.
He got two big ten games later on tonight, Western
Michigan Michigan State at seven o'clock. That's FS one Western
Illinois number twelve Illinois, and that's going to be worthy
of a watch for a lot of eyeballs if you're
(30:37):
at home later on tonight, just simply because that is
going to be the first layer of.
Speaker 3 (30:45):
Level of talent that I use going to play.
Speaker 6 (30:48):
It is going to be, you know, the first big
time game clearly that they're going to play, you know,
after their pre Big ten schedule. So that should be
interesting to see what Brett Beilama had with Illinois coming
up this season as well. I should mention too, Top
twenty five last night, South Florida all over out number
(31:09):
four day. I don't know how many people had that.
If you're gonna wager, thirty four to seven was the final.
And when you think about it too, I think Boise
State scored the first the first score of the game,
I think in the first quarter, and then did not
score again and outscored thirty four to zip the rest
(31:29):
of the way.
Speaker 3 (31:30):
I believe that to be. And you're spot on.
Speaker 6 (31:32):
The Bulls of South Florida ended up getting that win.
So that was probably a bit of a surprise to
a lot of wagers out there, I would I guess, yeah,
it really was.
Speaker 3 (31:39):
I mean, that was one of those games.
Speaker 6 (31:40):
I mean Boise State was a four and a half
point favorite, right, so again you're going in.
Speaker 3 (31:44):
It's always tough though, if you look at these homes,
especially when you haven't seen a team seen them here.
Speaker 6 (31:48):
Yes, like we always say, you've got to tread lightly
in the betting world. First couple of weeks, two, three weeks,
just let's see what happens. You're gonna get a good
feel on it.
Speaker 7 (31:56):
But yeah, Boise State was a four and a half
point favorite and they just got their war is blown off.
Speaker 6 (32:00):
I mean it was pretty pretty awesome. I mean good
to see now a couple of games tomorrow and again
we're gonna have a big screen out here able to
watch it. Coming up to Ball State Purdue that's at
noon tomorrow West Loffey at the very Odham Era begins.
Coming up at Purdue tomorrow against Ball State and Old
Dominion and number twenty Indiana from Bloomington.
Speaker 3 (32:22):
That is a too thirty start.
Speaker 6 (32:24):
I know a lot of people are not only excited
about this season for who's your football?
Speaker 3 (32:28):
Really?
Speaker 6 (32:29):
And I should not downplay Purdue because a lot of
people were excited about just moving away from that absolute
catastrophe that mess that was a year ago and restarting,
rebooting what they hope to be something that can transition
to kind of what I you has seen.
Speaker 3 (32:47):
With this early Kurt Signetti, Brent.
Speaker 7 (32:49):
Success, Oh absolutely, and you remember that IU Purdue game
was sixty six nothing back last year.
Speaker 6 (32:54):
I don't think you want to have any of those memories.
Speaker 3 (32:58):
Absolutely.
Speaker 6 (33:00):
Oh yeah, you got that noon two thirty tomorrow again
Ball State Purdue Old Dominion number twenty Indiana and the
noon start is in Columbus. Our guy Todd, who is
here today, is going to that number one Texas, number
three Ohio State coming up tomorrow afternoon Mistic Waters Campground,
the third annual Labor Day weekend Bender. As we are
just now getting started, we will get with you about
(33:22):
how you can get here and join us and be
a part of this all weekend long. Brent is coming
back with a stop of the hour. I believe at
some point I know Pat Sullivan's going to be here
as well. Hashtag asked Pat, I'm going to send out
that picture of what you can win with your questions
in a moment. Bob Lovell for Friday Night, number two
of the high school football season and voice of the Hoosiers,
(33:44):
non Fisher Owl still to come, don't go anywhere.
Speaker 3 (33:46):
The stream of the app It's AHDU Radio.
Speaker 6 (33:48):
The Triple A Membership Lounge via YouTube live A ninety
three to five and one oh seven five.
Speaker 1 (33:52):
The Fan, The Ride with JMV.
Speaker 2 (33:58):
Foky.
Speaker 1 (33:59):
This is not not this is bowling. There are rules
A ninety three five and one oh seven five The Fan.
Speaker 3 (34:07):
Uh Misty Quaters Campground Everybody third Annual Labor Day Weekend
Bender three one seven two three nine ten seventy.
Speaker 6 (34:17):
We'll get you into the text line mix right now. Yes,
I was right about that, James zombie Fied is falling
in reverse?
Speaker 3 (34:29):
The band? Did you not know that? I did not know?
Speaker 6 (34:31):
That's right up your alley, zombie Fied. Who knew that
I was cooler than everybody else?
Speaker 3 (34:36):
That's weird.
Speaker 6 (34:37):
Zombie Fied definitely metal music, Josh. I think he goes
zombie fine in I'm middle love weird. But that's who
I was thinking of. I think, is that falling in reverse?
I want to make sure that's what the band is.
But thank you very much for that. Hopefully I'll get
a few points for being of the younger generation right there,
(34:57):
JMB early in the SNL career. We love se several
of Kevin Nelan skits. Wondered if he remembers his skit
title hooked on Sushi from his early years. He plays
a private detective who samples sushi with fishing hooks secretly
embedded in them, and the owners kidnap him by essentially
(35:18):
hooking him like a Fish's outstanding, right there. Kevin Nealan,
who scheduled joined us coming up a little bit later
on JAMV newpal and Decatur Central Go Gouragons Jr.
Speaker 3 (35:32):
And newpal Man.
Speaker 6 (35:34):
Decatur Central was a champion a year ago, moves up
a bracket or a class and started out rough on
the road at Avon last week, and now you're going
to get a load of them taking on New pal
which is something. And listen, they are talented as heck.
(35:56):
We'll talk to Bob Lovell about that coming up at
four point thirty. Talented as heck, but that is a
very difficult start of the season for that team, There's.
Speaker 3 (36:06):
No doubt about that. So yeah, I know that was more.
Speaker 6 (36:09):
Of a shout out to newpal right there, But without question,
Decatur Central is talented, but it is a tough beginning
for them.
Speaker 3 (36:17):
On the schedule, no doubt about that.
Speaker 6 (36:18):
Britt Halverson, Heavin Hills Stillery, he rejoins us we should
talk about this number one Texas, number three Ohio State
that is a part of the Saturday schedule tomorrow. As
I mentioned a Mystic Water's campground during the third annual
Labor Day weekend bender, we're going to have a TV
out here being able to watch all of these games,
and certainly that'll be one. I'm sure that is going
to be worthy of a watch, is it not? Oh?
Speaker 7 (36:39):
Absolutely, I mean twelve o'clock to really get the full
on weekend kicked off like that, I mean absolutely amazing. Yeah, yeah,
we've got TV inside the lodge and we'll have one
out here as well as well as some live music
to kind of accentricate the whole thing.
Speaker 3 (36:53):
Right there, my friend, get that thing going.
Speaker 6 (36:54):
And later on in the weekend you've got Notre Dame
and Miami, which is a big deal. Well, I know
we probably say this every year, but we've certainly had
this argument because IU starts out with three games where
people go blab about but when you look around the
landscape of college football, you could have not done a
better job to get us interested and to get us
(37:18):
hooked as we will be early and often sedule because
there was good stuff. You could tell last night everybody
was a little bit starved because the football wasn't top notch. Again,
that's what you expect at the start of the season.
But when we kick it into gear coming up tomorrow,
that thing's gonna get real and get real brand in
a hurry.
Speaker 3 (37:37):
It really is.
Speaker 6 (37:37):
And you know, get looking at that Notre Dame Miami game,
that's outstanding. You got LSU as well. I mean there's
some good stuff out there. LSU Clemson, that's gonna be
a good game. And we got to those games, right,
they're both the seven thirty. But to kick it off
at twelve o'clock, that is just the way to go.
I mean, looking at the schedule again, they did. They
did a great thing. Great way to kick it off too.
(37:58):
So we do have if you mill, is she going
to join us? Do we have a quick second? Well,
I know she just brought over a couple of cocktails,
which was nice. Over I shouldn't mention this as well.
This is going to be a game worthy of your
attention for a college football fan. Tomorrow. Number eight Alabama
and Florida State. Now Florida State. We will see if
(38:21):
they can get back to becoming even in the general
vicinity of what we would expect out of Florida State.
Very interesting from Tallahassee. And a start coming up tomorrow.
That's a three thirty gathering number eight Alabama at Florida State.
That is a game we'll get into brand a little
bit later.
Speaker 3 (38:38):
That's going to be a tall task.
Speaker 7 (38:39):
I mean, you know that Alabama squad is always going
to be packed, and again at Florida State, they've got
the benefit of being at home. But I think Alabama
might roll tied on that one to start the season
off for them.
Speaker 3 (38:50):
So we have a brand new guest of the show.
We do have and you know, it's it's awesome.
Speaker 7 (38:54):
I mean, I've had the pleasure of knowing Nicole for
six seven years now and she has recently joined the
heaven Hill Family here. So she is our channel manager
for the on premise and last Monday was there for
this or second week, just wrapping up right here, and
she is out here serving some wonderful heaven Hill cocktails. Nicole,
welcome and welcome to the heaven Hill Family.
Speaker 11 (39:15):
Thank you, thank you.
Speaker 6 (39:16):
So much.
Speaker 3 (39:16):
Are you enjoined us so far? You were with us
yesterday at Sid's in Noblesville, which was us back to
back days. That's a lot.
Speaker 11 (39:24):
First, well, it's actually my second JMV show. First one
was at Big Red on Valentine too.
Speaker 6 (39:33):
Man.
Speaker 3 (39:33):
Yeah, that was relaciously awesome right there.
Speaker 7 (39:36):
So so Nicole, she was, she was on premise up
in Lafayette and that's where she lived for I mean
pretty much.
Speaker 3 (39:43):
You grew up in.
Speaker 11 (39:44):
Living Yeah, originally from Avon, moved up to Lafayette, Binton
County kind of area, and went to Purdue boiler up.
Speaker 8 (39:54):
So now we're here working.
Speaker 11 (39:55):
For aven Hill.
Speaker 3 (39:56):
That's awesome. Oilermaker fans everywhere, we'll love you for that,
especially now with the start of the new era. Very odom.
Speaker 7 (40:04):
So we've got a little challenge tomorrow then, because I'm
ball State guy, your Purdue girl, and we play each
other tomorrow. So we about to put a little wager
on a right take those seventeen points in the Cardinals chirp. Sure,
a little back and forth right there.
Speaker 6 (40:18):
I think though Burdue fans are mostly just happy that
there's a change, you know, no matter really, I mean,
obviously you don't want.
Speaker 3 (40:25):
The worst to occur, but they're thinking.
Speaker 6 (40:27):
Anything would have to be better than what we have
witnessed recently.
Speaker 7 (40:31):
Yeah, they were ready for a change, and we'll be
interesting to see how it works out, you know. That's
that's why they play the games, right, all.
Speaker 3 (40:37):
Right, Nichole is going to be a part of this.
She is event all week and long.
Speaker 7 (40:41):
She'll be here tonight with us for sure, and then
I think she's got some activities going on for the
rest of the weekend. But come on up and give
a hand five and a hug to Nicole. It's an
awesome pleasure to have you on the team.
Speaker 3 (40:52):
Thank you so much, Nicole. Thank you for being a
part too.
Speaker 6 (40:55):
I've already seen some people peek into cabin number thirty
nine's window. Hey, I'm out here, all right, I'm not
undressing in there. I stop peeking in my window. So
I've seen people walk by right there trying to get
a gander. I think walking mind checking it out. I'm
right next to the VW bus too. Very good about
Have you seen the new bathrooms, by the way, I
have seen the new bathto sharp Yes, fantastic.
Speaker 3 (41:18):
So no, everything is good. There's Pat Sullivan to the
hashtag ass Pat we have free Eddie and Sauces. Free
Yeddi and Sauce.
Speaker 6 (41:29):
Is always good for free, so get your questions in
final Pat Sullivan Experience for the summer of twenty twenty
five is coming up next. Bob Lovell gets us in
tune with night number two of the high school football season.
Bob joins us at the bottom of the hour. Don Fisher,
voice of the Hoosiers. After five, Kevin Neil on a
(41:49):
little bit later on who's spending the weekend of the
Circle City as well. The nine season cast member of
SNL is scheduled to join us too. Stream the app,
HD Radio the Trip Play Membership Lounge via YouTube live.
We got a lot going for you, and come out
and meet Nicole because I think she's tended a little
bit with the samples.
Speaker 7 (42:08):
Is that she is giving some nice size samples out
there today. John, we're gonna actually ahead and do full cocktails.
Come on at here and get a cocktail for six
if you like, Just be responsible in the process, but
come on up, miss Waters. Five dollars to get in
or bring a pair of shoes. Sierra, she had to leave.
She she wanted to get up here. And talk about
her soul shine.
Speaker 3 (42:26):
Where does she go?
Speaker 6 (42:26):
She's listening to us. I'm sure I heard Sage is
not even showing up here this week. Sage has all
kinds of things going on. It's hard to keep track
of her.
Speaker 2 (42:36):
Here.
Speaker 7 (42:36):
Is actually going to the Mountain Vernon football game tonight,
but she will be back, and she's got her crew
out here, going to enjoy the weekend with it.
Speaker 6 (42:43):
Got some shoes right there, I get some under armoured basketball.
She look at that's outstanding that and I feel bad.
They hurt my feet. I don't know if they'd hurt
everybody else's, but it's kind of like wearing like barbed.
Speaker 3 (42:54):
Wire on my shoet.
Speaker 6 (42:55):
I mean, I don't know if we really want those
in john back and bring something else, but they're they're
generally used because I put them on once I go.
These are really uncomfortable on my feet. I didn't wear

Speaker 12 (45:56):
Only normally when you because I was listening and heard
the story, but you know, you saw the sign go up.
Normally my advice would be laid down until the feeling passes.
But this place looks I went right in the men's room.
I thought, man, this looks great.
Speaker 3 (46:12):
It smells good. I love a good smelling men's room.
You know that kiss me at that right.
Speaker 7 (46:18):
We we try to do a little bit each year,
and that was what we did last year. And you
know again, we're we are fortunate to have some amazing
people that work out her for us and Andy Rector
and the team brought that bath the bathrooms to life
and it's just beautiful in there.
Speaker 3 (46:31):
It's like a rich Charles you know. I love that.
I'm always put the top of the list.
Speaker 6 (46:35):
Von Maher's bathroom, I can like live say that. Yeah,
it's like that, Like that's very von mahrsk it is.
Speaker 2 (46:42):
Oh yeah, nice.
Speaker 12 (46:43):
You could have a nice little party in there, you know,
hang out. You know, we might try that sometime.
Speaker 7 (46:48):
I'm actually anxious to to get your take on some
u some of the things around here too.
Speaker 6 (46:52):
Well, what needs to be done around here? Captain landscape,
I think it's looking good. It's looking good. Are you
away from Remember back when we were first starting and
you were really critical about people's lawns.
Speaker 12 (47:06):
Has that gone away? Well, yeah, because we don't. You
don't do the we don't.
Speaker 6 (47:10):
Well remember how critical you were about lawns. Yeah, in
the backyard. Yeah, that was love his love.
Speaker 3 (47:16):
Because I mean and this was what here's a different
building at the time, and they used to get pissed
and go, oh, well, Pat's because they thought people were
getting mad and they weren't. But that's just one we
had got when we have to deal with the nerd.
Speaker 6 (47:27):
Hey, I'll tell you what, Pat, I want you to
hang on sure, okay, because we want to bring somebody
else into for old Pat Sullivan. Brent Holverson JMV Misteric
Quarters campground. We are proud because he's going to be
here this weekend. The Circle City, I believe, nine seasons
at SNL actor comedian, most notably over the summer, was
(47:47):
a part of Half a Happy Gilmore Too along with
Adam Sandler.
Speaker 3 (47:51):
Kevin Nealan joins us.
Speaker 6 (47:52):
Now, Hey, Kevin, thank you very much for joining us
on the show today.
Speaker 3 (47:55):
How are you.
Speaker 2 (47:57):
It's my pleasure. I'm doing great. Thank you, thanks for
having me.
Speaker 6 (48:01):
We are we're doing sports and maybe a little bit
of of lawn and garden stuff. If you got any
lawn and garden issues, any questions, maybe you can lob
at our expert here.
Speaker 2 (48:12):
Well, I'm trying to combine the two into one.
Speaker 13 (48:15):
Uh yeah, my My My problem is this. You know,
I play carn hole and the grass grows up into
the hole, so it makes it harder to get the.
Speaker 2 (48:26):
Bag in there.
Speaker 6 (48:29):
Well, Pat, do you have an answer a solution Kevin's issue.
Speaker 3 (48:32):
I do talk to the landscaper a good amount to
move the board.
Speaker 4 (48:36):
Yeah.
Speaker 13 (48:38):
Maybe if I got more, maybe if I hit the
target more, they wouldn't grow.
Speaker 12 (48:44):
That's actually a good point. Maybe a little more, uh,
a little more.
Speaker 6 (48:48):
Practice there I have this Kevin, this vision of Kevin
Nealan doing his own yard work?
Speaker 3 (48:54):
Is that true? Is my vision accurate? No?
Speaker 13 (48:58):
You know what I I growing up. I love doing
yard work. I would rake the leaves. I lived in Connecticut.
I would cut the grass. We had a very small yard,
but my father had one of those sit down lawnmowers
from Sears Ken Moore. And you know, it looked like
we were sitting on a kid's.
Speaker 3 (49:17):
Toy, you know, yeah, oh yeah, yes, that's the.
Speaker 2 (49:21):
Extent of my lawn care right there.
Speaker 6 (49:23):
Well, it's what's funny because the lawnmowers you're talking about
had like a mower deck that was like two inches wide. Right,
it took you about three hours dem maybe an acre something.
Speaker 3 (49:32):
Like that back then.
Speaker 2 (49:34):
That's right, that's right.
Speaker 6 (49:36):
It's Kevin Nealan who's going to be at Helium Comedy
Club beginning tonight and this weekend too.
Speaker 3 (49:42):
How's everything going?
Speaker 6 (49:43):
And I was always curious somebody that has your resume
and what you've accomplished so far in your career, do
you still love going out and doing really how you
made your stamp in doing the stand up comedy?
Speaker 3 (49:58):
You still enjoyed that much?
Speaker 13 (50:00):
I really do I never stopped doing stand up even
throughout Saturday Night Live and Weeds and a Man with
a Plan and all those Adam Sandler films, because it's
really what I started out doing. It's all I ever
wanted to do was stand up comedy. So yeah, I
still love it, and I always love coming back to
Indianapolis too.
Speaker 2 (50:18):
I always have a good time here.
Speaker 13 (50:19):
I think it's the people get me here, you know
what I'm saying.
Speaker 6 (50:24):
Yeah, Well, and that's good because we're on the same page.
Speaker 3 (50:27):
I'm glad they get me because I have nowhere else
to go.
Speaker 6 (50:29):
I'm like Richard gear an officer and a gentleman, Kevin,
I've got nowhere else to go.
Speaker 3 (50:34):
I'm glad they get me here.
Speaker 2 (50:35):
I am Hey.
Speaker 6 (50:37):
Kevin, Brent Holberson here man. Hey, welcome to Indiana, my friend.
It's an honor to have you on the show here too.
Speaker 7 (50:43):
But hey, I want to hear a little bit about
you were with David Letterman show before you got onto
Saturday Night Live, right, I want to hear some good
David Letterman stories.
Speaker 3 (50:51):
You get any of those?
Speaker 2 (50:53):
You mean, I was on the show as a guest,
you were a.
Speaker 3 (50:56):
Regular with on him back in the mid eighties, right.
Speaker 2 (51:00):
Well, I would.
Speaker 13 (51:01):
I would go on once in a while because you know,
we were doing SNL in the same building and his
show is down below us on a different floor, so
if some guests bailed out at the last minute, they
would call me up to come down there.
Speaker 2 (51:14):
So I did that pretty often.
Speaker 7 (51:17):
Okay, I remember seeing it, and you're you know again,
just David Letterman, a fellow Indiana hoosier here, and I
didn't know if you had any great stories about that,
but I love your friend, and I.
Speaker 13 (51:28):
Do actually have a story about that, Brent, all right.
I haven't seen David Letterman since, you know, the days
of the Late Show with David Letterman, and every time
you go on that show, you really don't never talk
to him unless you're right at the desk there.
Speaker 2 (51:42):
You know, he doesn't come backstage, and we all know that.
Speaker 13 (51:45):
Kind of personality he had that, you know, And so
I ran into him last December, and he could not
have been happier to see me. He was raving and
complimented me left and right. So I was really flattered
about that.
Speaker 12 (51:58):
Well, maybe that's because he's spend more time back in
Indiana hometown.
Speaker 3 (52:02):
He kind of you know, lost that.
Speaker 6 (52:04):
That a thing you love Indiana more than he does now, Kevin, Right.
Speaker 2 (52:09):
I guess so, I don't know.
Speaker 6 (52:12):
No, he's he's still he's still entrenched obviously with racing
here in Indiana as well. I was going to ask
you this, Kevin Nealan joins us Helium Comedy Club. Uh,
that is coming up this weekend downtown. You got to
check him out. Good dude, great show. Uh, tickets available
right now. What do you most note Indiana for? Like,
when do you think about Indiana? What comes to mine first?
(52:34):
And be kind?
Speaker 3 (52:35):
Okay, be kind? What comes to mine first? Here? That's
the way to put him on the spot.
Speaker 2 (52:39):
The John, Well, you know there's there's of courses. Notre Dame.
Speaker 3 (52:45):
Yeah right, yeah, you're a Notre Dame. Yeah, Uh, you're not.
Speaker 13 (52:52):
What comes to mine immediately for me when I hear
the name Indianapolis is a couple of years ago, I
was working at this club and it was in the
winter and they just had some sleet and it was
frozen on the sidewalk, so it was black ice.
Speaker 2 (53:07):
And I got out of the car to go into
that comedy.
Speaker 13 (53:10):
Club, Pallium Club, and I slipped on the ice and
I hit my head so hard. I thought I was
I thought it was over for me on the sidewalk
and I get up and I walk into that club
and I don't know if I have a concussion or not.
And so the EMTs came and they checked me out
and they said I didn't have a concussion, but man,
I was hurting.
Speaker 2 (53:31):
I did two shows back.
Speaker 13 (53:32):
To back and I had to lean up against the wall.
Well it turns out I had whiplash like the next
eight weeks. So that's kind of what I remember, Whites,
But this weekend, so I want to make some good
memories to kind of kind of pave over that.
Speaker 3 (53:46):
So how is it?
Speaker 12 (53:47):
How's it feel to own a comedy club in Indianapolis?
Speaker 3 (53:50):
Now that? Yeah? Did you add that to? Will that
be on your your list of things to talk about
this weekend at Helium? The last time, I'm.
Speaker 13 (54:04):
Trying to forget about it, Brent, and you know you
brought it up. So now I got into my mind again,
so I.
Speaker 6 (54:10):
Got yeah, I can't help it. Yeah, I can't help.
But that's Kevin neeling with us. Yeah, obviously this year
this summer, happy to go more too. After a lot
of years, came back out and you were a part
of that Adam Sandler effort. Once again, what did you
think about the end result? And I will tell you this, Kevin,
(54:30):
I had I bring this up all the time. I've
talked about this with Sandler before.
Speaker 3 (54:38):
He was actually for the Super Bowl.
Speaker 6 (54:39):
When here's Andy and we're talking about how special Happy
Gilmour was for him. How special was it for you
to be a part of that and to be a
part of part two after all these years?
Speaker 2 (54:53):
Good question.
Speaker 13 (54:53):
But let me just go back a little bit first
and say that as far as Indiana, I would say
that my one of my favorite movies is The Hoosiers.
Speaker 3 (55:02):
Mmmm.
Speaker 13 (55:03):
So yeah, so I I know in the end of
the great Basketball State?
Speaker 3 (55:09):
Right, Well, are you a big basketball guy, Kevin?
Speaker 2 (55:12):
Not really? Not really.
Speaker 13 (55:13):
I mean I for any sports I like watching at
you know, the finals right right?
Speaker 6 (55:19):
You watch the Pacers? Did you watch the Pacers and
the Thunder in the finals this year?
Speaker 2 (55:25):
No? I didn't. What is that? What is that going
to be on? When will that be on?
Speaker 6 (55:29):
Well, it's already coming, it's already coming. Gone, and we're
very disappointed around here because of it.
Speaker 3 (55:35):
You know, It's it's already coming and gone. Did you.
Speaker 2 (55:39):
You know, did you grow up as far as the
going go ahead?
Speaker 3 (55:43):
Did you grow up a sports fan in general?
Speaker 2 (55:46):
Not really?
Speaker 13 (55:46):
But I played a lot of sports. I played football
in college. I played uh, rugby and soccer?
Speaker 3 (55:54):
Yeah, rugby? And now which one were you better?
Speaker 2 (55:59):
Football was the best?
Speaker 3 (56:00):
Yes, yeah, understand, But which one was the most fun? Rugby?
Speaker 13 (56:07):
I would say rugby only because of the parties afterwards?
Speaker 6 (56:12):
Yes, yeah, well, well, and those dudes are hardcore too,
by the way, Kevin.
Speaker 13 (56:19):
They really are, they really are. I'm sorry, I'm stepping
on you. We have a delay here in our transmission.
But the hardest part about rugby is surviving those parties afterwards.
Speaker 3 (56:29):
Yeah, now we know that to be true.
Speaker 6 (56:31):
There's actually a bar that we know very well here
in Indianapolis called Connors that back in the day used
to be somewhat of a rugby bar as well.
Speaker 3 (56:40):
I do have a question.
Speaker 6 (56:40):
Kevin Nealon is going to be a part of Helium
Comedy Club all weekend long. Go check him out, and
if you happen to meet him downtown, tell him.
Speaker 3 (56:48):
You heard him right here. I don't remember this SNL skit.
Speaker 6 (56:52):
Somebody said that their favorite skit of yours was called
a Hooked on Sushi in your early years? Do you
recollect that one? Because I'm a big fan of SNL.
I don't remember that.
Speaker 2 (57:06):
Well.
Speaker 13 (57:08):
I was just reading the Lauren Michael's book and they
and they, they say the proper thing is not a
skit but a sketch. They say in the book that
a skit is something from grammar school that you put
together or you know, I don't know.
Speaker 6 (57:20):
I don't as you're talking to a novice right here, Kevin,
my apologies, but no, well it was the sketch about sushi.
Speaker 13 (57:28):
Yeah, well, I don't even think it was a sketch.
Speaker 2 (57:31):
I think it was probably a parody commercial.
Speaker 13 (57:34):
Okay, But I you know what, I'm with you, I
don't remember it. Sometimes people will bring up sketches and
I have no idea what they're talking about, and or
I'll be watching an SNL rerun and I'll see.
Speaker 2 (57:51):
Me in there and go, wow, I don't even remember
this one.
Speaker 6 (57:55):
I Kevin Nalan joins us, and that begs the question, like,
you were a part of so many different sketches, but
oftentimes some of our grand memories come from those kind
of fake commercials. Where did you get the most notoriety
for all your seasons SNL. Was it for a particular
(58:17):
sketch or maybe it was a commercial, right, because to me,
that would be gratifying somebody to remember something that still
to this day is so important to them that you
may not remember.
Speaker 3 (58:27):
I mean, that's pretty cool how that stands the test
of time.
Speaker 2 (58:31):
Yeah, yeah, well I was.
Speaker 13 (58:34):
I remember leaving Lax once and this guy came up
to me, and you know, you get compliments every once
in a while. He goes, he says to me, thank
you for helping to create pop culture. But I think that,
you know, I think probably the three things that stand
up the most for me that I remember on the
SNL was HANSA.
Speaker 2 (58:56):
Frons, mister subliminal and we can update.
Speaker 6 (59:01):
Yeah, Weekend Update. Do you have your favorites? I was
kind of thinking about this before you came on here.
There's there's so many like do you get Michael Jay
and Colin Jost obviously today, but besides yourself, do you
have your your favorite that have done or been a
part of Weekend Update in the past on SNL?
Speaker 2 (59:25):
Oh?
Speaker 13 (59:25):
Yeah, I mean, my my style was I was emulating
Chevy Chase because he was the original one. But everybody
brings a different talent and personality to that weekend update desk.
And you know, I think everybody does a great job
in their own way.
Speaker 2 (59:40):
You know.
Speaker 13 (59:40):
I think Colin Jost and Michael Jay do a great job.
And it's kind of changed over the years too, It's
kind of evolved. You know, when I was doing this
pretty much just a straight newscaster, and you weren't laughing
at your own jokes and commenting on them, you know,
so you know, it's uh, and everybody has their own favorites.
Speaker 6 (59:59):
Go ahead, Hey, I got a question, and in one
of the favorites, I mean, Hans and Fronz, you mentioned,
you know, here to pump you up. I had the
pleasure of seeing Dana Carvey and David Spade about six
months ago, and Dana Carvey still you know, he was
doing a little skit about that too, and he spoke
very highly of you. You guys still have a great relationship, Yeah,
we do.
Speaker 13 (01:00:20):
Dana and I have been friends even since before us
and now we even shared a house together in Hollywood
Hills for a little bit. So when sometimes people will
ask me how I got on Saturday Night Live, you know,
or let's they phrase it more like this, how did
you get on Saturday Night Live? And I say, you know,
half of it was luck and the other half was
(01:00:41):
being friends with Dana Carvey because he set up an
audition for me.
Speaker 6 (01:00:48):
Kevin Nalen this weekend is going to be at Helium
Comedy Club downtown. You can check him out and make
sure you heard him. Tell him you heard him right here,
Adam Sandler, how often you guys talking. I will tell
you this. Kevin back when the super Bowl was an Indy,
he was on this show with me. We were actually
live with one another for about thirty minutes. And I'm
(01:01:11):
a huge basketball fan and I'm fifty five and still
play all the time like an idiot, and I love it.
He invited me because you know this to be true.
He's a huge basketball play He still plays all the
time too. He invited me to play and his handler
at the time, Kevin, was supposed to call on a
Saturday morning and give me the coordinates to get to
(01:01:31):
where we were downtown at the field House to play,
and that call never came. So I still live with
It's weird because I actually got the call.
Speaker 12 (01:01:39):
I play yeah with that, And we had a great time,
had a brunch afterward. I live in that world of
disappointment right right now, But I still love the dude
in the effect he's had on really everything. How often
you guys talk and how important a role has he
played in your life as friends, colleagues and co workers
(01:01:59):
over the years.
Speaker 13 (01:02:00):
Yea, I talked to Sanda pretty often. I'm gonna be
he's going on tour soon and I'll be, you know,
doing a couple of guest spots on a show, so
you know.
Speaker 2 (01:02:12):
I every once in a while I'll see him, or
I'll call him.
Speaker 13 (01:02:15):
Or we'll text each other and it's like we just
picked up.
Speaker 2 (01:02:18):
Where he left off on SNL. And and you know,
he's a good dude.
Speaker 13 (01:02:22):
Everybody loves him and he he's really loyal to his friends.
Speaker 2 (01:02:27):
And yeah, you're talking about Happy Gilmour too.
Speaker 13 (01:02:29):
That was you know, the first one was a very
kind of a contained, low budget movie and this one
was just massive, you know, in every different way, you know,
and they had all the cameos on there.
Speaker 2 (01:02:39):
It was fun seeing that. And you know, I've asked
a lot of people how they.
Speaker 13 (01:02:41):
Liked it, and everybody was like, yeah, it was good.
You know, I think there's a lot of good will
toward that movie from the first one.
Speaker 3 (01:02:49):
Yeah, there is.
Speaker 6 (01:02:50):
And I was going to bring this up in closing
here with with Kevin Nealon, but Vernon Lundquist, Yeah, a
long time announcer and is noted for being a part
of some great calls you know, CBS certainly, but others
as well, but just some great calls. And I once
had him on this show years ago and he said
he is most noted and recognized from his role and
(01:03:14):
happy gilmore across the Yeah, with the cross those sports
landscape you're thinking, I mean, there are some big moments
for him, you know, especially with the Dallas Cowboys for example,
And to know that he is most recognized and noted
for being a part of that film.
Speaker 3 (01:03:30):
I always felt that the time was pretty amazing for him.
Speaker 13 (01:03:33):
No, I know, it's really kind of unexpected sometimes the
way that happens, like in this one and this last one.
I interviewed, Oh god, I'm blanking now. Scheffler Scotti Scheffler, Yeah, yeah, yeah,
and you know he's that'll that'll be probably his legacy
(01:03:54):
for a long time, his funny role in that movie,
even though of course they'll you know, have the legacy
of golf and all the champions, the ships he's won.
But but yeah, I think that happens a lot with movies.
Speaker 2 (01:04:05):
It's unexpectedly you've become known for that.
Speaker 6 (01:04:09):
It's Kevin kneeling with us, no slipping on the ice
this weekend in Indianapolis. And I should mention this, but
Sandler is going to be here at Gambridge Fieldhouse in October.
Are you going to be a part of that? You
said you were going to be a part of some
of his shows. Will you be back here in October?
Speaker 2 (01:04:27):
I don't know what's the date on that one.
Speaker 3 (01:04:30):
Hell, I don't know. That's a good question.
Speaker 6 (01:04:31):
Sometime in October, I don't know, but yeah, sometime in October.
Speaker 3 (01:04:37):
I mean, how many of those are you doing?
Speaker 2 (01:04:40):
I'm not even sure yet.

Speaker 6 (01:06:21):
Yeah, I have a yeah, so, and we do apologize
he had to deal with and this sometimes happens when
you're on a cell phone like that, and he may
have been patched through. What happens sometimes we get somebody
like that that pats through their agent's phone and there
is a little bit more of a delay there, so
you could tell he was working with that never could
(01:06:41):
have been the way Brett has this place wire the.
Speaker 3 (01:06:44):
Open, I don't. I don't think I for the wiring

Speaker 3 (01:09:19):
I don't know what that means. I don't either. I've
never heard that.
Speaker 6 (01:09:22):
I had a friend of mine in high school. We
used to say, Hey, I'm sober as a cat.
Speaker 7 (01:09:26):
You've been rolling around that what's it called Catnap, cat Nip, Catnap,
you've been doing something sober.
Speaker 3 (01:09:31):
As a cat.

it's a fun filled weekend. It was Pat Sullivan is
here hashtag ass Pat and coming up in about ten.
Speaker 6 (01:10:21):
Minutes, right, Pat, Oh, you know what's your show? John
Vin Kevin Nealon loved all your questions.
Speaker 3 (01:10:26):
Yeah, well, I obviously I kept the interview alive. Kevin
Kneeling a little bit earlier to Helium Comedy Club Downtown.
If you see him this weekend, tell him you heard
him right here.
Speaker 12 (01:10:37):
His story about slipping on the ice. I did not
know crazy hitting his head before he went on and
they had to call the Well, he was gonna say,
hey man, you need to work that into your show.
And I thought he was kind of being serious about
it a little.
Speaker 3 (01:10:51):
Bit, you know what I mean.
Speaker 6 (01:10:53):
I don't know if he wants to joke about he
said whiplash. Yeah, he didn't even say a concussion whiplash. Yeah,
like right on the sidewalk downtown. Yeah, wow, it probably
didn't You think somebody came to his aid? How long
did he lay there before somebody stopped? You know, he
probably didn't mention that he was on a scooter. See
(01:11:13):
that every weekend. Hey, that give us punch Bowl Social
and New meeting.
Speaker 3 (01:11:17):
Right down there in the back of his hand, right there,
Kevin Nealan by the Way, Podcast one O seven five
thefan dot Com. Uh, look who's on the inbound right here?
Look at LITZI. Let's see I swear to God I
wore that in nineteen eighty six. Look at that That
is sharp. J Just did you get him that shirt?
I wore that at eighty six.
Speaker 6 (01:11:37):
On the any More Automotive Greup potline, Bob Lovel Indiana
Sports Talk. It is Friday night, number two of high
school football throughout the state of Indiana.
Speaker 3 (01:11:46):
Hello, Bob, how are you?
Speaker 4 (01:11:48):
I'm great, John, how are you?
Speaker 3 (01:11:50):
Bob? I want to start in six A.
Speaker 6 (01:11:51):
The Brownsburg with that team from Maryland nationally rank was
impressive last week and doing the business they did.
Speaker 3 (01:12:00):
They get Cathedral coming up later on this evening. In
six A. What are you thinking about this matchup?
Speaker 4 (01:12:07):
The big time, the big time matchup between you know,
two teams. It's basically number one Brownsburg and sixth a
number one Cathedral In five A. I'm not sure I
can add anything to how important this is. Both teams
are capable obviously winning state championships. Both teams have won
state championships. Cathedrals won more than I can count. And
(01:12:29):
so week number two, you want to find out where
you are as a football team, You're going to find
out in a game like this.
Speaker 3 (01:12:37):
Yeah, sine Grove on the road at Carroll up in
Fort Wayne coming up this evening. I'm assuming they're already
up there.
Speaker 6 (01:12:42):
Westfield and Carmel, Bob, both teams start the season one
and zero.
Speaker 3 (01:12:49):
You got a week two clash on your hands in
Hamilton County.
Speaker 4 (01:12:53):
Love the matchup, obviously, people talk about the improvement from
week one to two. Kevin right at Carmel has all
already made his stamp known his We know he's capable
multiple state championships. Everywhere he goes, he wins. Westfield just
continues to play at a high level. This feels like
a in like a semi state matchup, really, And that's
(01:13:16):
how good these two teams are. And you know the
sixth day ranks, and there's some battles we already talked
about three of them, and there's tremendous games tonight in sixth.
Speaker 6 (01:13:27):
A yeah, yeah, Week two of high school football, Bob
level and Sports Talk will help us break it down
for you right here. So I'm thinking about Fishers, I'm
thinking about Ben Davis, I'm thinking about Decatur Central. Is
never good to start zero in two, and these teams
(01:13:48):
are kind of looking at zero on two right in
the eyeballs later on tonight, aren't they.
Speaker 4 (01:13:52):
Well, they're challenged. I don't think there's any questions. I mean,
fishers in l N Ellen's capable, and Ellen's a good,
good football team. Ben Davis Uh and Avon. Avon with
a great win last week to start their season, got
rejuvenated quickly.
Speaker 2 (01:14:09):
Uh.
Speaker 4 (01:14:10):
That's quite. That's really quite a matchup.
Speaker 13 (01:14:12):
Uh.
Speaker 4 (01:14:13):
And so you're right, you don't want to go oh
and two. But I think the other part of it,
you take silas in the fact that it look regular
season is just a prelude to the tournament. So tournament
day parents are made, Uh, wipe the slate clean and
go out there. But you you really do want to
gain some momentum in this week number three matchup that
you have. Uh. And there are a bunch of them,
(01:14:35):
without question.
Speaker 6 (01:14:37):
Yeah, Dekettri Central gets New pal at home coming up
later on tonight. That's number one New Pal By the way, yes, that's.
Speaker 4 (01:14:45):
A that's another that's a state championship level game. I
mean those New pal uh won it last year, bumped
up their ranked number number two and five a Decatur
Central made it to the state championship game a year ago.
Speaker 5 (01:14:58):
Uh.
Speaker 4 (01:14:59):
How much more drama do you need to set the
stage for a game like this in week number two.
Speaker 6 (01:15:04):
You know, we talk about Martinsville in that renaissance season
of a year ago. A bit hit the skids, I think,
losing to Bedford North Lawrence in week number one, and
now you get a one and zero Bloomington South team.
So there's another squad of the Arties that may be
looking at a zero and two star right in the eyes.
Speaker 2 (01:15:25):
Yeah.
Speaker 4 (01:15:25):
Look, Bloomington South is always good. I think we all
understand that the Arties you had lost a tough one
last week, as you mentioned, so again you have you have.
I'm sure the speech from the coaches is we have
to approach this game like as deternament.
Speaker 2 (01:15:40):
We gotta win.
Speaker 4 (01:15:42):
We got to pick up wins. The other game that's
intriguing to me, John is Ron Colly Franklin Central. These
are too Oh you're really good, and not a lot
of people talking about how good they are.
Speaker 6 (01:15:52):
Hey, Bob, I was gonna mention this. I scored more
in high school than Ron Colly did last week and
week number one.
Speaker 3 (01:15:59):
Yeah, yeah, I'm not gonna give you.
Speaker 6 (01:16:01):
I'm not gonna give him any crap because they ended
up ended up winning and they get Franklin Central, and
I know Franklin Central's got some talent on their team too,
starting getting to know yep.
Speaker 4 (01:16:11):
But still, I mean big south side matchup. Uh, it's great.
I'm not so sure I buy the fact that you
scored more than they did. We're just gonna let that
fly to the show.
Speaker 2 (01:16:23):
Say whatever you want.
Speaker 4 (01:16:24):
There are no favate Deckords on this show, so say
whatever you want to say and continue to live in
that fantasy land. That's okay with us.
Speaker 3 (01:16:32):
I try. I did want to mention this.
Speaker 6 (01:16:35):
I think it was Danville a Gibson Southern, the second
ranked team of three gotta win in their opener. I
do love the matchup with that particular challenge Memorial Gibson
Southern Mississinawa modern day, and we should mention Cascade.
Speaker 3 (01:16:50):
The reason why I bring this up.
Speaker 6 (01:16:51):
Cascade starts at one and oh they're on the road
at Danville, and Danville was the one that lost to
Gibson Southern last week as well. There's another team that's
looking for a win to even things up on the
season after a Week one tough one.
Speaker 4 (01:17:06):
I think the Danville cast Kate game is a great game.
I mean, Danville is a very capable team highly ranked
to start off with. Uh, this Cascade team is getting
better and better. Uh. I love the fact that it's
you know, it's a great matchup, two teams playing good football,
great coaches, but again, drama. You don't want to go
oh and two. So what makes this from such a
(01:17:27):
tough one? And uh, you know, being a playing field grad,
I don't recall losing to Danville at all when I
was in high school in any sport. So so I
find it hard. I find it hard to read for them.
I hope all goes well.
Speaker 2 (01:17:42):
Uh.
Speaker 4 (01:17:42):
And so I think it's a great matchup.
Speaker 6 (01:17:45):
I you probably noted last week my Thunderbirds of Eastern Green.
And it's a damn good thing they played in Springs
Valley because the five parents in attendance could go right
across the road and go to the casino because.
Speaker 3 (01:18:00):
Fifty eight seven was the final. When Springs Valley beats
you fifty eight to seven, you and I love my
guys down there, but that's that's a stinker right there.
That is not good. First year a head coach and
a stinker. That's a bummer.
Speaker 2 (01:18:15):
John.
Speaker 4 (01:18:16):
Springs Valley is really good, Okay, they are. I know
it's hard. I know it's hard for you to forget history,
and I know it's difficult for you to look at
reality when it comes to this, But I'm just telling
you the Valley is as good as their number seven
in single A for a reason. They're that good. They're
a really, really good football team that's going to make
(01:18:37):
a deep run into the tournament without questions. So I
hope that helps you a little bit with the sting
of that loss last week.
Speaker 3 (01:18:45):
Yeah, that's uh, that's pretty ugly right there. I mean
you kind of I kind.
Speaker 6 (01:18:50):
Of anticipated it, if you remember with our dialogue right
last week, I kind of anticipated.
Speaker 3 (01:18:57):
Hey, before I let you go, I want just bring
this up.
Speaker 6 (01:19:01):
I love Marion and U Indy starting the season last
night as they did. I mean, no matter what happens,
I think to kick off the season that fashion here
locally is pretty damn awesome.
Speaker 4 (01:19:13):
Bob Well, I couldn't agree more.
Speaker 2 (01:19:15):
John.
Speaker 4 (01:19:15):
I think it's great that both coaches agreed to do it.
That's number one. That's a hard thing to get people
to do. But I think it's fantastic that you have
a number of kids from the Central Indiana area on
those rosters. Those are two solid solid programs, great coaches,
I mean great football coaches. Marion has won national championships.
(01:19:37):
U Indy has made deep runs into the Division two tournament.
Why not have them play And I think it's fantastic
and it's great that they played on Thursday to get
away from high school football. Thank you very much, big team.
You could take a lesson in this on how not
to compete against high school sports in the state if
you had any brains, quite frankly, and so I'm happy.
Speaker 2 (01:19:57):
I'm happy for them, and it.
Speaker 4 (01:19:58):
Was a great game. It was an impressive win for
the Hounds.
Speaker 3 (01:20:02):
Yeah, yeah, I mean, and the Hounds I mean really
took cold early and won that bad boy going away,
I mean in the second half, Marian put some points
on the board, but it was uh you Indy obviously
early on all right, Indiana Sports Talk, later on tonight
and tomorrow night. Bob's going to have you with high
(01:20:22):
school football tonight and then collegiately covered coming up tomorrow
night as well network Indiana affiliated stations, and of course
right here at Indy Indiana Sports Talk with Bob Lovell
every Friday right here on the fan. Bob, I appreciate
you having a great weekend.
Speaker 4 (01:20:38):
Enjoy.
Speaker 3 (01:20:41):
Yeah, I thank you for you should be up here
with us, Bob.
Speaker 6 (01:20:45):
You should because it is going to be one hellaciously
awesome time. Brent Holverson rejoins Pat Sullivan hashtag as Pat,
you're ready to take some questions, Pat, Oh, yeah, what
are you thinking about here?
Speaker 3 (01:20:56):
You're thinking about getting a weed eater out of this place?
You know it's looking you know what. I love the place.
Speaker 12 (01:21:02):
I love the landscape, and it's obviously uh Brett's love
of chick weed is uh something to be big of
chick weed, you know, a little bit over, but you
know what, Uh, and the clover is nice right for
the bees? It is, you know, having a little clover
is I mean, I wouldn't want in my my lawn,
but you're a little different.
Speaker 3 (01:21:21):
Well, I'd like to help.
Speaker 6 (01:21:22):
Pollinate, yes, you know, yeah, it's all about making the
bees and butterflies.
Speaker 3 (01:21:26):
Yeah, it's brittle man.
Speaker 2 (01:21:28):
Yeah.
Speaker 3 (01:21:28):
The problem problem really for uh, if the bees get
too much food, you know what I'm saying, they get fat, well,
you know, they send you get b obesity and they
can't get off the ground, and then we got a
pollination problem. It makes for some great honey. Now, there's
no science behind that. That's just my theory. Well I did.
That's awesome. Pricking Brake will come back.
Speaker 6 (01:21:49):
Mister Quarter's camp Ground, Brent and patted hashtag ass patch.
You guys got questions two three nine ten seventy love
them in free yetti and free sauce coming up for
you too, and three one seven two three nine ten seventy.
Speaker 3 (01:22:03):
I can see you on the text line as well.
Send those questions in hashtag gass pad with Pat Sullivan
Coming up next, Don Fisher, Top of the Hour, Sit
Tight ninety three five one oh seven five Fan.
Speaker 1 (01:22:18):
The Ride with JMV.
Speaker 3 (01:22:20):
Wait than Anybody Knock Anymore.
Speaker 1 (01:22:24):
Ninety three five and one oh seven five the Fan.
I think we need to do some hashtag gas pad.
Speaker 3 (01:22:31):
Who's with me on this? Bad Boy? Brent Holvers and
Pat Sullivan.
Speaker 6 (01:22:34):
I'm JMV cam's onside engineer, James back of the studio,
mister Waters Campground, Third Annual Labor Day Weekend Bender.
Speaker 3 (01:22:41):
What do you think? Pat?
Speaker 12 (01:22:43):
I'm ready to go. John, I am uh, I've had Coleslaw?
Where'd the coleslaw come from? Was that Taylor's Taylor's boring table?
I have slant Coleslaw.
Speaker 2 (01:22:52):
I know.
Speaker 3 (01:22:53):
Are you a fan of Colson?
Speaker 2 (01:22:54):
I am? I love.
Speaker 3 (01:22:54):
Why didn't you have a Coleslaw Do you have a
fis slip fest?
Speaker 2 (01:22:58):
Yeah?
Speaker 12 (01:22:58):
Turns out we actually have the only Coleslaw festival in
the country.
Speaker 3 (01:23:03):
That's outstanding.
Speaker 2 (01:23:04):
Yeah.
Speaker 3 (01:23:04):
The only other thing involving Coleslaw is Coleslaw wrestling in
daytona part of Bike Week. Well really they have down there.
Speaker 2 (01:23:13):
Yeah.
Speaker 3 (01:23:13):
How many times have you done that? Are you like
the champion?
Speaker 4 (01:23:16):
Uh?
Speaker 3 (01:23:17):
No, you know I have not been down but I was.
Speaker 12 (01:23:18):
I was researching other Coleslaw festivals and that is the
only one I found, and it had really had nothing
to do with eating Coleslaw.
Speaker 3 (01:23:27):
Coleslaw it is very good.
Speaker 6 (01:23:29):
Hashtag gas pat I got this courtesy of our text
line rut here. Is there a weed control I can
do that is dog and kids safe? How about gasoline?
Speaker 3 (01:23:42):
Is that dog your kids?
Speaker 2 (01:23:43):
Say?
Speaker 4 (01:23:43):
So?
Speaker 3 (01:23:43):
You know what is that good weight control? Gasoline? That's
not very Si about urine?
Speaker 2 (01:23:48):
My urine?
Speaker 3 (01:23:48):
Is that good weed control?
Speaker 13 (01:23:50):
Uh?
Speaker 3 (01:23:50):
Yeah? But your urine will also kill the grass. It
just runs out really quick.
Speaker 2 (01:23:53):
Yeah.
Speaker 12 (01:23:54):
So the problem that people always ask it when they
say is there something safe? Yeah, they're almost insinuating that
the stuff that we use on our lawns is not safe.
And I would like to say that it is safe, yes,
if you follow the label instruction.
Speaker 3 (01:24:12):
Now is the real question.
Speaker 12 (01:24:14):
You don't want to use any kind of chemicals on
your lawn and that is fine, and you could use
a corn gluten that would control weeds. It takes about
five years or so to get going. But there is
some nice organic fertilizers. I would say the best thing
if you really want to do a laan with no chemicals,
I would use the organic fertilizer and then I would
(01:24:38):
use I would take spot treat the weeds, or you
could get the weed popper and pull them up yourself.
Speaker 3 (01:24:47):
You know what I'm saying. I like the way you
call me weed pop POPA do you have a weed
pop hash tag? Aspat for men. I am new to
the pellets poker game, Pat does the flavor of pellet
really matter? I've tried a few and have it tasted
a difference? You know?
Speaker 12 (01:25:08):
I would say until you got to some of the
the uh, you know, the oak or something that really
had kind of a bite to it.
Speaker 3 (01:25:17):
There's one that is slipping my mind. That's very popular.
Speaker 12 (01:25:20):
Yeah, but the ones, the uh, the hickering stuff, you'll
just get kind of a general smoky flavor.
Speaker 2 (01:25:26):
But you won't.
Speaker 12 (01:25:27):
I mean, you really have to go out and get
the uh the ones if you really wanted that. I'm
not most people don't want it. So now you can
also kind of turn on the smoke on most of
those smokers so that you will actually get extra smoke.
Speaker 3 (01:25:42):
If you're after this, I may do that later on tonight,
get a little extra smoke. Smoke, turn on the smoke.
I think John's over there turning on the smoke. What
is that cloud over there? Oh? That's John. So you're
gonna have to stay here even longer?
Speaker 2 (01:25:55):
Is that cool?
Speaker 3 (01:25:56):
Whatever I got? Vas at Uh, you better not be
six because you ain't making it. Let me tell you
seven to fifteen of reservations. Where are we we have reservation?
We are going to Ruth Chris tonight our grand sonya
oh easy?
Speaker 6 (01:26:16):
Yeah, so yeah, we're gonna go Don Fisher then come
back with you right about that?
Speaker 3 (01:26:21):
Is that cool?
Speaker 2 (01:26:22):
Yeah?
Speaker 3 (01:26:22):
That's fine. I'm doing nothing. We'll get some more koleslaw.
Speaker 2 (01:26:24):
Hey.
Speaker 12 (01:26:25):
I did want to mention that the Pumpkin Town tickets
that went on sale at four o'clock.
Speaker 3 (01:26:29):
Pumpkin Town tickets. What's that about? That sounds like you
were there trying to hear Kevin kneeling.
Speaker 2 (01:26:35):
I was.
Speaker 12 (01:26:36):
I sold two thousand tickets in the first twenty five
to Pumpkin Town. Pumpkintown. Remember that song funky Town? Yeah,
take me to the Pumpkin Town. That'd be good.
Speaker 3 (01:26:47):
Yeah, for me to come up with a little music
for that would be great. Do you can voice it?
And that'd be great.
Speaker 6 (01:26:52):
Pumpkin Town sounds good, you know, it's funny, like I
only got to take a break here of James and
I will. But the pil then reminds me remember in
the film the original Halloween heading Field. That's what Pilton
reminds me of heading Field, without the homicidal mania.
Speaker 3 (01:27:09):
It's a little bit bigger enough than that reminds me
of Hedden Field. Was Pendlton Man.
Speaker 6 (01:27:15):
Penilton's nice though it is in this series has got
a great small toy field. If it were more a
lot more south, I'd be down with that program right there. Well,
you're pretty far south. You're table Kentucky.
Speaker 3 (01:27:25):
That is way too far.
Speaker 6 (01:27:26):
I mean, I got to show my my uh my
visa every time I come in here, because I mean, yeah,
this is way too far north, but if it were
a lot further.
Speaker 3 (01:27:36):
South, i'd be I love Penlton.
Speaker 6 (01:27:38):
Great to look. It really is great people, great support.
I mean it's we're honored to be here.
Speaker 3 (01:27:42):
Mystic Waters Campground more with hashtag gas pat in the
five o'clock cour Voice of the Hoosiers, Don Fisher, it's

I You tomorrow at two thirty one or ninety three WIBC,
which is thirty minutes after the Home and Garden Show
from Anderson Speedway.
Speaker 12 (01:29:27):
You know, you know, I love doing the four hour show,
but it's kind of nice every once in a while
when I you, uh, the pregame starts at noon and
we get to bail.
Speaker 3 (01:29:35):
Oh you don't like it? You like to do the
full four hours.
Speaker 12 (01:29:39):
We still do it in the studio, just among ourselves. Wait,
what's Micheless going to advertise on this show? Don't you
have any poll there? I do, I do, but I
when are they going to do it?
Speaker 2 (01:29:49):
Well? You know, let me.
Speaker 3 (01:29:50):
They're not anywhere on our station, not on the show.
What do we have to do? I guess you just
called Richard Michelis you know you Richard Woul Richard michelss
like work in the environment. That is this right now?
Would he be impressed? Oh yes, yeah, yeah, he's a
he's uh, he's got a lake place.
Speaker 12 (01:30:08):
He's just you know, Joe Politzi, former head coach like
Joe you Indy, he could probably Uh, his son never
wears a shirt.
Speaker 2 (01:30:18):
I know.
Speaker 3 (01:30:20):
His son.
Speaker 6 (01:30:21):
Uh that is uh, what's his real name? I know
he goes by Ben Polizzi.
Speaker 3 (01:30:26):
But is it like it was ben? Is it like
Benito or or something like that. Yeah, he'sit in the
It's not Benito Santiago?
Speaker 12 (01:30:33):
Is it the former padre he was on he has
been on comedy and then uh some of these shows
like uh Fantasy Island show where he's a bachelor.
Speaker 3 (01:30:44):
No, it's not fan Fantasy Island. It was called like
what was it called have Sex with Me Island or
something like that. Right, I don't know, throw it down
on a dark board and do me a island. Here's
what I remember about Ben Polizzi.
Speaker 12 (01:30:57):
He did the Overnight at w ib C and uh,
we did not have a board op to start our show.
And we started the show, and I was kind of
looking him for a break. He goes, I don't know
how to send it to break, so we needn't know
how to wear a shirt either.
Speaker 3 (01:31:12):
Well, which I kind of know. You look if you
I mean, he's a good looking boy. You know, he
never wears a shirt. I wouldn't either if I look
like him. You don't either. Now, right, you're you're lucky.
I got a shirt on. Right, you're lucky.
Speaker 2 (01:31:25):
He was.
Speaker 3 (01:31:25):
He's wearing pants.
Speaker 6 (01:31:28):
That's what he had, tidy white. He's right here. If
I didn't scare everybody way, that's young, my friend. I
understand that. That's what Joe Polizzi said about his son.
I'm just he wears pants. The Polizzi family is pretty cool.
They no doubt about that. They are good folks. Oh
my garden show tomorrow morning. Yes, we are yep.
Speaker 3 (01:31:47):
Nine to one. And we were at the Anderson Motor
Speedway just up the road. Just up the road. What
is going on at the Anderson Motor Spate We got
some fun stuff.
Speaker 12 (01:31:57):
Gates open at four o'clock, racing starts at seven they
are doing some of their One of the features is
the UH vehicles that are pulling trailers in a figure eight.
Speaker 3 (01:32:09):
Oh really yeah, Like what do they pull them? Oh?
They're just boats or bumpers. Yeah.
Speaker 12 (01:32:14):
I think the deal is you got to pull a
trailer of some sort. Oh wow, so much dangerous weather. No,
it's going to be so, I think they and I'm
sure that's one of many events they have. And I
tried to find the info, but I I was.
Speaker 6 (01:32:30):
We brought before the thunder Cars of Indiana in that
series on HBO years ago.
Speaker 3 (01:32:35):
Yeah, you did.
Speaker 6 (01:32:36):
Nobody up there likes that, I know, and you that's
what that took place, right you continually?
Speaker 3 (01:32:42):
Right up? No, you know what, that's one of our
sponsors tomorrow spending money. Do they not want me to
bring it up? No, No, they don't.
Speaker 12 (01:32:48):
They want that's part of the that's one of their
part of their past that they I remember, people absolutely
hated it. Yeah, I think I think everybody was named Gunther.
Speaker 6 (01:33:00):
Yeah, well, I mean yeah, and I still do you
know that I took like three of those dudes that
were most often involved in the races to Sullivan's Steakhouse
that keys still at the crossing from my show once
did you really Yeah?
Speaker 3 (01:33:15):
Do you remember the names?
Speaker 2 (01:33:16):
No?
Speaker 6 (01:33:17):
I took Wild Willie and Sammy Hawkins to Sullivan the
Steakhouse Keys still at the crossing. Other station of the
show went Thundercars of Indiana.
Speaker 2 (01:33:30):
Was going on.
Speaker 3 (01:33:31):
I just remember this. I remember the people of Anderson
hated when I brought it up. Yeah, every time and
every time we talk about the Anderson Speedway, you bring
that up.
Speaker 12 (01:33:42):
I thought it was entertaining, but they felt it was
a reflection of their kind. And I can see that
nobody wants that kind of press. I mean, they're very proud.
It's a great little town. You got a lot of
fun stuff.
Speaker 3 (01:33:55):
Oh no, I think it's great regardless. I just listen.
Speaker 6 (01:33:59):
I mean you got you know, got folks of all
cons everywhere, right, you know, everybody.
Speaker 3 (01:34:04):
Everybody's got some family. They'd rather little bit of entertainment
and back of the day, Wild Willy entertain me.
Speaker 12 (01:34:11):
I bet Brett has a whole host of family members.
He's like, hey, you know what, why do you stay
in brass face? Just don't go downstairs.
Speaker 6 (01:34:19):
Don't do that, Hey, misteric Waterer's campground, Brett Let's remind
everybody again. We'll get back to the hashtag gas pad
before Dawn calls us as well, but remind everybody while
we're here and how they can get here.
Speaker 7 (01:34:28):
Come on up Exit two nineteen right off I sixty nine.
We are the Pendleton exit just off the interstate. Show
goes until six here. Then we've got some great live
music with Sammy far Samy and Cohley will be out
here playing tonight and then tomorrow fun filled day.
Speaker 6 (01:34:42):
We've got all kinds of stuff going on. Float competition
out there. We loved a band from one to four.
Speaker 7 (01:34:48):
We've got the college football starting at noon, as we
all know it's gonna be exciting.
Speaker 3 (01:34:51):
We'll have on the lodge and outside as well.
Speaker 7 (01:34:54):
And then we have the third annual Live JMV takeover
tomorrow night, and we've got some great things going on
Sunday too.
Speaker 12 (01:35:02):
Are you booked as far as accommodations? Is there any
room for people that would want to come up and
bring the camper or anything like that.
Speaker 6 (01:35:09):
So Lisa's going to join us here shortly and she's
going to go run through that. We do have I'm
not sure the dates right now.
Speaker 7 (01:35:15):
We do have a cabin or two available for one
tonight and then possibly on Saturday.
Speaker 12 (01:35:21):
You kind of sound like me as a business owner,
because I'd always go with my daughter as Becky saying, well,
you know, Becky's going to come along and she'll fill
in the details on that.
Speaker 3 (01:35:30):
Yeah, Lisa don't really know.
Speaker 7 (01:35:31):
Lisa makes all the magic happen, so you know, again,
she's gonna come up. She'll give us a little breakdown.
But we have plenty of camping sp spots, right, so
bring a ten out. We've got all kinds of camping spots.
I don't know if we do have any RV spots
left available, but again I think there is a day
or two available in a cabin.
Speaker 3 (01:35:48):
So if you want to hang out my cabin. Nine
I've already heard. That's already on the bulletkgoard inside thirty
double bookt if you guys have like here's where I
think thirty nine and the number in sports I immediately
thought of was the late Day Parker. So Chad's over there,
he's in forty.
Speaker 6 (01:36:07):
So Chad from Denver, Colorado, by way of Whiteland, Indiana,
is in forty. What number forty comes to mind immediately?
Colbert Channing I always think if I you Glenn Grunwald
in the early eighties, who was often injured as a
number forty. Anybody wait, what number forty for you? Anybody
(01:36:28):
in particular, don't have anything coming to mind?
Speaker 3 (01:36:30):
Number four? Pat John? Why you guys? You guys don't
because number sport or anything? You have a mind? Hey?
Where when was the last time you saw a movie?
Speaker 2 (01:36:42):
And where it was?
Speaker 6 (01:36:45):
At the Shiloh Theater in Avon off of US thirty
six September twenty first, nineteen ninety nine.
Speaker 3 (01:36:54):
I believe it.
Speaker 12 (01:36:55):
That's why you can remember. Number forty was Star Wars
episode one and it secked and it we had Judge
or Binks in it. It was a disgrace Star Wars
nerves Like me, it was an incredible is it? Is
it bad when you because you remember everything? Because there's
a lot of stuff I loved.
Speaker 6 (01:37:12):
The problem is I can't remember what I did two
hours ago, Like I don't even remember what we talked
to Kevin Nealan about.
Speaker 12 (01:37:18):
But I can remember what happened on this date in
nineteen eighty five, Okay, And I would not want that.
You think some would be great memories and some would
Do you think.
Speaker 3 (01:37:26):
That's a curse.
Speaker 6 (01:37:27):
Well do I think it's a curse, Because here's the thing.
A lot of my memories of the past are excellent
memories that I would love.
Speaker 12 (01:37:35):
Be nice if you really remember those and kind of
forget the other. I just have a problem with.
Speaker 3 (01:37:43):
Like short term yeah, like what happened here recently, Yeah,
that's problematic right there. But long term I got down
and got down completely.
Speaker 6 (01:37:53):
Hashtag ass pat Pat Sullivan here is with us at
Mystic Waters Campground. I have a ton of the mini
strawberry weeds in my yard. Can I treat them without
having to kill the entire law?
Speaker 2 (01:38:04):
Yeah? You can't.
Speaker 12 (01:38:04):
You know what, Wild strawberries don't do very well with trimech.
So if you use a trimech weed killer like a
we'd be gone. And you want to do that in
September when it cools down and the movement in the
plant is down towards the root, so you get a
more complete kill rather than when you put weed killer
on in the spring. It just burns the tops. And
(01:38:26):
that's what US retailers like because then you come back
and buy more. But the secret is if you do
it in the fall, you will actually kill the weed.
Speaker 6 (01:38:34):
Hashtag gas pad from Chad. This year we plan in
lavender and is doing well. My question is what is
the best timing for trimming pruning lavender hashtag gas pat.
Speaker 3 (01:38:45):
You know what, You can trim it back either in
the fall.
Speaker 12 (01:38:48):
I would the thing about lavender, it needs to be drained,
and if you're going to go through a winter, a
lot of times lavender doesn't come back, so you want
to make sure the lavenders mounted.
Speaker 3 (01:38:58):
I don't even know what to help.
Speaker 12 (01:38:58):
What is lavender? By the way, explain that it's an
herb us it as a decorative perennial as well, because
it smells like you know what smells like.
Speaker 3 (01:39:08):
It's going to smell like some herb letter or not.
Nobody know what lavender smells like. Like, when's the last
time it smells around?
Speaker 12 (01:39:16):
Yeah, So I would suggest that a heavy mulch on
that and go ahead, and you can cut it back
in the late fall.
Speaker 3 (01:39:24):
I love it when I like bring up marijuana references
and everybody backs away from her life. Here we can
have fun with it. It's okay, you know what.
Speaker 12 (01:39:32):
Anytime somebody brings in a baggie with weeds in it
for identification, I like realize wowed as I can.
Speaker 3 (01:39:40):
Well, ma'am, that's marijuana like a regular That is marijuana.
Speaker 6 (01:39:43):
Well, one of these days, when we're all dead, it'll
be legalized here and they'll be able to tax it
and make some money off of you know what.
Speaker 12 (01:39:50):
One of these when we're all going to be dead,
you'll be able to get prescriptions. They'll be giving it
to you in the hospital. They're too busy jacking around
with other stuff right now. But one of these days
we're all going to be dead, not going to be
doing that. And I'm not a weed God might like
cheat your trunk or anything like that, but damn you know,
I have never smoked marijuana in my life, but I
am willing to try.
Speaker 3 (01:40:10):
So well.
Speaker 6 (01:40:11):
The one thing you have going for, I mean, you're
what would you could not a herb of ore because
that's inaccurate, But what do you call yourself as far
as a botanist?
Speaker 3 (01:40:20):
Are you a botanist kind.
Speaker 6 (01:40:21):
Of because you know stuff about weeds and lands and
I would not call myself that I are you?
Speaker 3 (01:40:26):
Are you a hardcore botany No, I would know I'm
a very well informed is it not botanist? A gardener? Gardener?
All right, Yeah, I'm a gardener.
Speaker 12 (01:40:37):
Is that a class you've taken on that or if
you just know that well appearance, I took a class
for twenty five years.
Speaker 3 (01:40:43):
Sit next to Dick Crumb. How much milk moor cot for?
He didn't know that a little bit? There's no doubt
about that. Hey, here's here's a question. I have a
hashtag gas pat. I don't see scarecrows anymore in gardens.
I see lights. Why is that? Is it the scare away,
the birds or the varm What kind of lights are
you seeing in?
Speaker 6 (01:41:02):
Well, my neighbor Ron de Vault has lights in his garden,
and I think it's a scare away Varmits like a
possum raccoon and not so much birds.
Speaker 3 (01:41:14):
Are we leaning in that direction right now?
Speaker 2 (01:41:16):
Well?
Speaker 12 (01:41:17):
I guess if I guess, it depends on what's doing
the most damage. And obviously we all know that raccoons
and uh, I mean raccoons. Will they climb they? I
mean my daughter had they were ready to pick the
fruit from the apple tree. One night every apple was gone.
Speaker 3 (01:41:36):
Everyone.
Speaker 6 (01:41:37):
Yeah, they will get you good, There's no doubt. That's
why we trap him and take him across the river.
Jaylaw coming in with Skis. He's got shot Skis.
Speaker 3 (01:41:47):
Shout out to the upstairs pub. He's talking. By the way, Brent,
we're going to be there coming up on Thursday, coming
up later all the season. Believe it.
Speaker 6 (01:41:56):
The Bison Mafia right there. Enjoy embracing the Bison logo.
Good to see everybody right here. Brent Halverson JMV Mystic
Waters Campground with hashtag as pad going on and hopefully
we get Don.
Speaker 3 (01:42:10):
Fisher before the end of the show. I never tell you.
I think I may have.
Speaker 12 (01:42:15):
When Don was going down to do an IU game,
he called into the show because he actually had a
weed problem in as long sure, and I thought, man,
shouldn't you be prepping for the game.
Speaker 3 (01:42:25):
You don't have to do montask and he does. He
does that really early as well, So that is all good.
Speaker 6 (01:42:31):
Hashtag asked Pat, This is from James right here, Pat,
what do you think we should do as far as
preparing for planting for the fall?
Speaker 3 (01:42:40):
Fall planting? Where do you begin? Fall is for planting?
Speaker 12 (01:42:43):
And the great thing about fall is when you plant
in the spring, which is when most people plan, that
plant has not gotten adjusted and here comes the heat.
Speaker 3 (01:42:53):
Yeah.
Speaker 12 (01:42:53):
Right, So The great thing about fall is the as
it gets colder, the ground stays warms, so the there's
no stress on the plant. But yet the roots are
continuing to grow, So the roots will continue to grow
well into you know, probably past Christmas before it really
starts to freeze.
Speaker 3 (01:43:11):
So that's why.
Speaker 12 (01:43:12):
Really, so the good news is it's better to plant
in the fall. The bad news is sometimes that you
have our time finding the nursery stock that you want
because most of it is sold in the spring, and
that's when people want to do it. But better to
plant in the fall.
Speaker 3 (01:43:25):
Hashtag I guess, pat, when's the best time to purchase
and plant? Moms? Mum's the word here, Well.
Speaker 12 (01:43:32):
You know what I think they might be referring to Mumfest,
which is next weekend Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Six dollar
moms next weekend. Look at that Mumpfest, Mumfest, Mumfest, and
no idea most people will use moms. Mums technically would
be a a perennial. But a perennial John means that
(01:43:54):
it comes back every year? Is that annual perennial annual?
Just it's very confusing because you could have your annual dinner, right,
But he's a perennial favorite, so annual means just one,
one and done. That's what we like because we sell
it to you again next year. Perennials are beautiful and
they come up. But moms, you really have to get
(01:44:16):
him in the ground fast if you want to try
to bring him back next year. Free yetti and sauces.
That's Tony's. That's Tony's Boss sauce. Tony's a local dude,
and he is awesome like where locally, like in indies
in the store all time, sampling the Boss sauce and that's.
Speaker 3 (01:44:33):
His sauce, and that is and the jars.
Speaker 12 (01:44:35):
Yeah, it was from his you know what? And I
unfortunately I don't remember the name of his barbecue joint.
It was probably Tony's, right, I guess.
Speaker 3 (01:44:42):
That'd be a good one. Yeah, I saw this. There's
a sign over in Penalton that says Jimmy's the drive
in Jimmy's best barbecue in Indiana? Is that true? Have
we ever had barbecue from Jimmy's over here? You have
to try it.
Speaker 6 (01:44:56):
It's a drive in right over there by Needlers Bet
Barbecue in Indiana.
Speaker 3 (01:45:02):
Did you get that? You know it's got to be good.
I mean, yeah, is that is that true? Or do
we do?
Speaker 2 (01:45:08):
We know?
Speaker 3 (01:45:08):
I've not had Jimmy's personally. No, you know, I don't know.
But it depends on how big Jimmy is. Well, I'd
want to argue that, yeah, he's a big guy, he's
probably gonna be really good. And you're in Indiana, possibly
the world. Hey, my JMV disappointment moment is when he
was at the other station, there was supposed to be
a Playboy Bunny golf tournament and it didn't happen. Still
(01:45:31):
I listen, and yes, I still think you suck. That's
what happens. See, I try so damn hard not to
let you down, but something like that. I do remember
what he was talking about. There was supposed to be
a Playboy Bunny golf tournament.
Speaker 6 (01:45:47):
We're going to have hu and it never happened. Shout
out the iHeart Radio clear channel back in the day.
That let me down on that, And uh, I'm still
years later, fifteen plus years later.
Speaker 12 (01:46:00):
Suffering you eat that right now? You really promoting it?
Really like, yes, yes, yes, what was the reason for
not having it? I don't really remember that. I mean
I talked about this the other day. I did so
much stuff over the years. One was Testosterama. Do you
guys remember Testosterama. Now it was at the State Fairgrounds
(01:46:21):
and it was about dudes. It was a celebration on
a weekend about what dudes like. And it had displays
like when you walk around of dudes in.
Speaker 6 (01:46:30):
Their natural habitat, just like sitting around, even sitting around
watching TV. And the special guest on the show for
me during Testosterama was the ex wife of Jose Canseco,
Jessica Conseco.
Speaker 3 (01:46:46):
So it is wild.
Speaker 2 (01:46:47):
It was.
Speaker 6 (01:46:47):
It was like the only year and that was I
believe if you guys remember the noted promoter here locally,
Ray Compton. Oh yeah, Ray Compton for a long time
was with the cults that we had. Ray Compton was
with the Ice and had a lot of stuff with
the Ice back in the day. He promoted that it
was a one year event, but it was called time.
Where was it at the State Fairgrounds? But it was
(01:47:09):
it wasn't part of the State Fair It was not
No I think I think it was in the winter
time or.
Speaker 3 (01:47:14):
Something like that. So it's called Testosterama. It was Foresto.
Speaker 2 (01:47:19):
Did you go.
Speaker 3 (01:47:20):
I was there live, was there Jessica Kinsaka? When I
were live? How many people came?
Speaker 2 (01:47:26):
Six?
Speaker 3 (01:47:28):
It needed more, not needed a little bit more.
Speaker 12 (01:47:32):
It was not well attended. And this is what I
will tell you. We we do a ladies' night that's
coming up in September. Sure the ladies come. Hundreds of
ladies come to get together with the galpals. We have wine,
beer and all that stuff. So we thought, oh we
have a lady's night, we should do a dude's night.
So we called the gadget Fest. No one came except
(01:47:53):
a few dudes that came. Their wives brought them. Because
dudes don't can't organize anything. We don't have a friend,
I don't call anybody. Nobody wants to go to an event.
Speaker 3 (01:48:03):
That is all dudes did not learn that in college.
Speaker 6 (01:48:08):
Like I watched all these fraternities in Indiana State have
all these parties and it looks like a big boy
scout meeting.
Speaker 3 (01:48:13):
The hell would you want that about? So I, when
I hosted parties in terre Hote at Indiana State, would
charge the dudes let the lovely ladies reree, so the
more dudes would come, because the lovely ladies would be
there and the lovely ladies would show up. That's just
common knowledge right there, I know.
Speaker 6 (01:48:32):
But the Pike Fraternity never realized that at Terror Hope
because they always had these parties and it was nothing
but dudes about. I can't even dja your party because
all you dorks are hanging around punching one another on
the shoulder.
Speaker 3 (01:48:44):
Exactly.
Speaker 6 (01:48:45):
So yeah, so we learned that and learned that long ago.
Oh man, j Low's got a shatski ride here. We're
gonna have to do that.
Speaker 3 (01:48:53):
Oh geez, I love it all right, hashtag ass path.
We're going to get a winner.
Speaker 12 (01:48:56):
And you guys got the home and Garden coming up tomorrow.
Life nine f one Anderson's Speedway. Please join us nine.
Speaker 6 (01:49:02):
Point one Dandy, You and Denny and Allison and Terry
all out there, live together.
Speaker 3 (01:49:08):
It's gonna be a blast holiday weekend. Shout out to Fulton. Well,
Fulton asked about spider plants right now. He's trying to
get rid of too. Hashtag. He tried to make it
out here, but his mom said no way.
Speaker 6 (01:49:19):
He didn't join us. He said he was going to,
said yesterday and I didn't see him. It said yesterday either, yeah. Well,
and what he's uh, yeah, Fulton, I think he plans
stuff for his family that's not exactly in the plans
for his family.
Speaker 3 (01:49:31):
I believe that is correct, And I think what he
eats is an app for uber. He does. I need
to finances.
Speaker 12 (01:49:39):
In fact, we need to come together and finance Fulton's
Uber so he can get around town.
Speaker 3 (01:49:43):
Hey, thank you for the summer. I'm sorry again.
Speaker 6 (01:49:46):
He got started a little bit late because the Pacer
playoff run going to seven games in the NBA Finals.
Speaker 3 (01:49:51):
But you know how much I love that was so fun.
Though the Pacer run was, I still true story. I
still watch every single high because it all you see
them on Facebook all the time. They just pop up.
Speaker 6 (01:50:04):
The only highlight I don't watch, I don't watch after
the seven minute mark of Game seven of the NBA Finals,
But every other highlight of that postseason it was glorious.
Speaker 3 (01:50:13):
It was for the Pacers.
Speaker 6 (01:50:15):
I mean, and really, if the Colts could find anything whatsoever,
just anything whatsoever.
Speaker 3 (01:50:22):
You see what you can do when you win and
then put that product on the field. In this case,
that works. You can see how people are going. That's
people have.
Speaker 6 (01:50:33):
Been thirsting for this forever. Gosh, and you saw so
much of it with the Pacers. It really was even,
you know, And it doesn't make us a loser because
they lost. It makes us an embraser because it was
just such a special run.
Speaker 3 (01:50:47):
Was a circumstances that was so fun. That was like
over two months, right, two months of this and the
way that they won, the exciting games, you know, the
team concept, all of it.
Speaker 7 (01:50:58):
What it did for the city that too, with the
restaurant's bars, everybody on Tuesday eight or whatever it was,
everybody was out supporting those Pacers, and it was a
pretty special.
Speaker 6 (01:51:07):
Still, I mean, the whole Miles Turner stuff is it's
fine you leave and go to Milwaukee, but the words
leaving town still so pissed me off about well, you know,
I'm going some plants and they want to make.
Speaker 3 (01:51:20):
Competitive, but this place wants to be and still will
be competitive.
Speaker 6 (01:51:25):
But still, I love the team concept and I love
what has been done. Somebody tells me, shut up, it's
time to drink. There's a shot Sky.
Speaker 3 (01:51:33):
Behind her.
Speaker 6 (01:51:35):
Watching Triple A membership lounds me a YouTube libe, but
Shotsky is behind me.
Speaker 3 (01:51:40):
Pat Sullivan hashtag gas Pat, Thank you buddy. Great time
thank you. I gotta go.
Speaker 12 (01:51:46):
I gotta go meet Kevin Nielan. You gotta go Kevin Kneeland.
Are gonna meet at Ruth Chriss on the north side.
Uh that is Home and Garden Show Tomorrow morning ninety
three w I B. C. Anderson Speedway begetting at nine am.
Brenn and I and Lisa return on the other side.
Speaker 6 (01:52:04):
Don't go anywhere, and if you're watching, We're gonna handle
this shatsky right behind me. It's ninety three to five
one oh seven five. The fan who.
Speaker 1 (01:52:14):
The ride with JMV.
Speaker 12 (01:52:16):
It takes him a second to get on the stool
because he's under five feet tall.
Speaker 1 (01:52:20):
Ninety three five and one oh seven five the fan ah.
Speaker 6 (01:52:25):
The shotsky has a profound effect on the host of
the show, Camps the onset engineer back of the studio,
James Fever Sparks Tonight ten o'clock is the tip from
LA ninety five.
Speaker 3 (01:52:40):
Eddie Garrison has you top of the hour call Tappy
Hour with me.
Speaker 6 (01:52:44):
I will continue hosting and the Herrozucher Park Race of
the Day, fifteen betting, fifteen nining from Herrozuger Park Racing
and Casino and Anderson. Somebody asked me about Gina and
Lindsey where they are today, So I'll give you a
bit of a background. Lindsey just got married, so when
Lindsay wants to come out, Lindsey can tell me when
(01:53:05):
Lindsay wants to come out, and then you know Gina.
Sometimes Gina just shows up and a shout out by
the way to Gina. That's Gina Gleros, who just got
an anchoring gig at WISH TV Channel eight, which is
great news.
Speaker 3 (01:53:20):
Now, the bad news is nobody.
Speaker 6 (01:53:21):
Can see her because they're not on anything here locally,
which sucks because that you know, nothing Drake TV or
cable whatever.
Speaker 3 (01:53:29):
But that's the bad news. The good news is Gina's
got an anchoring gig.
Speaker 6 (01:53:32):
We knew that was going to happen because she's just
too damn good not to be on the air on
a daily basis.
Speaker 3 (01:53:38):
So Gina's got a new gig at wish TV Channel eight.
Speaker 6 (01:53:40):
Lensy Monroe just got married on Channel thirteen WTCHR, which
just got purchased by next Door which now becomes a
part of CBS four, Fox fifty.
Speaker 3 (01:53:51):
Nine and Channel thirteen WTCHR in Indy. That's a lot
of good knowledge. If you're keeping score at home, I
just updated.
Speaker 2 (01:53:57):
You on that.
Speaker 3 (01:53:58):
You really did. I feel I feel informed. Bred Holverson
right there, Look at the lovely lady across the right here.
That is Lisa Halverson.
Speaker 10 (01:54:07):
Hello, I'm good.
Speaker 8 (01:54:09):
How are you?
Speaker 3 (01:54:10):
Nobody? Everybody's bigger fans of you than us right here?
Speaker 10 (01:54:13):
Yeah, I don't know about that.
Speaker 3 (01:54:14):
But what did the Sierra go football game?
Speaker 8 (01:54:17):
She ran out quickly.
Speaker 3 (01:54:18):
Yeah, I understand. I I am just a smidge disappointed.
There's no I don't know what happened.
Speaker 10 (01:54:26):
They start to get busy as they get older, you
know they do.
Speaker 3 (01:54:29):
There's no question about that. So I don't think it's
going this weekend. You guys got everything ironed out here,
I think so.
Speaker 10 (01:54:35):
I mean, we've got a full house and and we've
got a couple of spots still open for like, we
got camping still available. But we've got a lot of
great people and cabins, RV sites, just a lot of
a lot of fun going on, a lot of festivities,
is I think you guys have been talking about.
Speaker 3 (01:54:49):
So tell us a little bit about that this week
Would you would you like to shoot video of me
being festive? Yeah? I think, okay, your shirt funny? They said, hey,
should we send somebody up to shoot video? And I'm
not quite sure that the people are station wanted to
shoot video.
Speaker 2 (01:55:06):
Of me like this? Yeah?
Speaker 3 (01:55:07):
They see no, man, this is pure entertainment. Is rocking later?
I don't know. I know a little back in that
out there you might have.
Speaker 6 (01:55:17):
The three nine is going to be rocking later on
to nine let me tell you that, right so, yeah,
plenty of room and I'll stuff a lot of people
on the three.
Speaker 3 (01:55:25):
Nine right there.
Speaker 8 (01:55:27):
That's good to hear.
Speaker 3 (01:55:28):
Yeah, maximum of six. Let's just put that up. Well,
you can add it to. We'll be the additional. We'll
be the additional to the things. We'll take ticket sales.
Speaker 6 (01:55:38):
Oh my goodness, you place me next to those brand
new incredible.
Speaker 3 (01:55:44):
Bathroom I like that plug. They do look good, really good.
Speaker 6 (01:55:48):
I've clearly brought the small bladder with me today, which
is unfortunate.
Speaker 12 (01:55:51):
You have.
Speaker 3 (01:55:52):
And you're gonna be who's you brown food truck right
there too? You got the food truck. You got the
mystic waters fan in the bathroom all right there. And
I've got cottage cheese in the back of my car.
Speaker 8 (01:56:01):
R Rock Coffee trucks right by coffee truck. Yeah, you're surrounded.
Speaker 3 (01:56:05):
You're good. Yeah, that's the that's the real you. That's
what makes me mad is I never can really tell
what bladder I'm bringing. And I get all the way
up here and go clearly, I brought the small one.
Why is that? Hey, we got an important weekend. I
should have brought the large bladder.
Speaker 6 (01:56:20):
Plenty of bathrooms, see forty, my friend, and we got
the large bathhouse over there. If you find yourself over there,
we've got the small bathouse. And then right over there
you got to boxing depends over at Needlers. So if
I just have to slap those on overnight, whatever, well.
Speaker 3 (01:56:32):
If you need Rodney rebel right there. He is the
back of all trades. But man is here, I bet
he is. Hey, tomorrow I do want to mention too.
Speaker 6 (01:56:41):
Tomorrow we've got all this going on once again too,
and we should mention. Fort's Garage is going to come
out here with food to borge garage. We'll be out
here for a little lunch to lower lunchtime force Ford's Garage.
Richard and Jeff, thank you very much for that. And
we'll have that right here and the big screen to
make sure we can watch a lot of college football brands.
Speaker 7 (01:57:00):
College football, and Lisa's going to give us a little
rundown of today and to tomorrow and in the Sunday.
Speaker 3 (01:57:04):
It's a big, big weekend out here. What do we
what we got least?
Speaker 10 (01:57:07):
Yeah, so we've got live music tonight. We do have
the food truck what you just mentioned. I think they're
out here what five to ten tonight roughly, and then
live music tonight seven.
Speaker 3 (01:57:15):
To ten Sammy and Coley. That's going to be awesome. Yeah,
the cover stuff.
Speaker 7 (01:57:20):
Oh, I will tell you this, sam Sammy farr Is
probably has one of the greatest voices. She's kind of
like a Susan Tdesky, right, like we talked to anything
Lauris Ordon. I don't know about that, but she has
an amazing voice, and she will be out here. And
Jason Coley one of the best guitar players I've heard
in a long time out here. So those two will
(01:57:41):
be playing here from seven to ten, right at least.
Speaker 1 (01:57:43):
Yeah, he'll be right here.
Speaker 2 (01:57:44):
Yeah.
Speaker 10 (01:57:45):
And then I know you mentioned Taylor's has You know
they set up food earlier today, so they donated that
food for there are so great. Yeah, that's awesome. And
then tomorrow, so we're pretty excited about tomorrow. Oh there's
the float competition, which I feel like we had to
mention that it was water just so that nobody felt
(01:58:06):
the need to decorate a float and drive it around
all the Yeah, yeah that might burn a prise, but yeah,
so we're hoping to have some pretty cool decorations or
decorated floats out there. And then we have a shuffleboard competition,
which gets pretty heated. So you can come solo or
you know, come as a team and better get creative
and bring your eag game for sure, because there's a
lot of competition.
Speaker 3 (01:58:26):
So I saw Laurel over there too. Yeah, it is he,
Laurel his birthday, he's tomorrow. Is it officially tomorrow? It
is he? He requests every Saturday night Steely Dan, Oh,
I love it. That's what requests that tomorrow too.
Speaker 6 (01:58:42):
Laurel every Saturday night through Nelly requests Prince.
Speaker 3 (01:58:49):
But it's always through Nolle. It's never Sometimes it's her.
If she gets really in the bag, then she cross
so much of the bag. It's Ryan Nolly the call.
Speaker 6 (01:58:58):
Hey, I'm a betting man, John, I'm going to bet
some money that tomorrow we might get a live request
from Laurel to.
Speaker 3 (01:59:04):
The live bod. It's going to be incredible tomorrow. But
I hope he brings that Steely Dan because that's a
great call writer.
Speaker 6 (01:59:10):
I love that Heath always goes with the steely Dad.
But also we have some live music from one to
four tomorrow with Wade Day. Is that correct?
Speaker 2 (01:59:17):
It is?
Speaker 10 (01:59:18):
Yeah, And it's really special because they're thirteen year old boys.
And I really have to tell the story about the
kid came in and he was talking to me and
he said he'd like to play out here, he'd like
for me to hire him. And I asked him what
kind of music he played, and he said, I play
classic rock, something that your generation would enjoy.
Speaker 3 (01:59:39):
All right, cool about three generations ran right?
Speaker 6 (01:59:44):
Right?
Speaker 10 (01:59:44):
Yeah, So they've been out here a few times. Everybody
loves them. They sound great. So they're going to play
from one to four and then yeah, so then we
have the food truck that will be out here tomorrow
night too, four to nine.
Speaker 8 (01:59:56):
That is a big Papa's pork pit.
Speaker 3 (01:59:58):
Big pop.
Speaker 7 (02:00:02):
Right, and then we roll into this guy doing his
third annual rendition of the j m V Takeover.
Speaker 6 (02:00:09):
We should mention that we got a shout about Jimmy's
over a Pendleton.
Speaker 2 (02:00:13):
Yeah.
Speaker 3 (02:00:14):
Whereas the barbecue is.
Speaker 6 (02:00:16):
Good, However, the tangerine ice cream is beyond Legitmary, what.
Speaker 3 (02:00:22):
I have been told? That was awesome. She was twenty
minutes away. I think she came from she dropped off
some shoes. Oh, it's awesome. I mean, that is outstanding.
And we a tangerine ice cream.
Speaker 6 (02:00:31):
I'm gonna have a little of chocolate.
Speaker 3 (02:00:34):
I think I can.
Speaker 10 (02:00:36):
Tangerine sounds pretty good, man.
Speaker 3 (02:00:39):
Tangerine ice cream. That's good. Jimmy's is right over there.
What is it thirty eight or thirty I hell, I
get thirty eight thirty eight? Yeah, on the way to Emporia. Okay,
I don't even know where Imporia or Lynn? Where's the Lynn?
The lens that direction way over there, lens that direction
like forty five miles that direction is land right there.
(02:01:01):
I will say this. And we've had I know that
we've had leaders of Pendlton on the show before. Man,
what they have done with Pendleton in the way that
that looks. It's beautiful.
Speaker 7 (02:01:12):
That's pretty awesome. A lot of great people too. And
you know, I think we'll see Mark Farr, who is
the chief police here. He's an outstanding guy.
Speaker 6 (02:01:19):
He'll be here. His wife Sammy is playing at night.
So we have a lot of great support out here,
a lot of great people behind it. I mean, Lisa
has been involved heavily with the town of Pendleton too, right, yep.
Speaker 10 (02:01:29):
And I think I mean, we have had a lot
of support, so hopefully they'll continue to come on out.
So we'll see this weekend. I think a lot of
people are staying in town and just taking those staycations
where they're you know, just staying close by and coming
out here and hanging out. So and then I did
want to mention Sunday night.
Speaker 3 (02:01:44):
We do still have live music this Monday and Foxy.
Speaker 10 (02:01:47):
That's right, so seven and nine on Sunday. I want
to forget that part and I.
Speaker 6 (02:01:50):
Will Mark pay another great guitar player in Foxy. Her voice,
my god, absolutely amazing.
Speaker 3 (02:01:55):
It really is.
Speaker 6 (02:01:56):
So a lot of good stuff out here all week
in Loss. I know you've got you're smoking some brisket
or something, right, And I got from what's the place
in Noblesville, Yes, in Noblesville, I bought like a twelve
pound brisket Wow, and it is smoking, and you're just
gonna look at it because you won't eat any of it, right,
(02:02:17):
I probably will not see it in his purchase. For
everybody else, That's what I do. I just want to
make sure everybody else has a hell of a time.
Speaker 3 (02:02:23):
You've got a ten pounds cheese ready to go?
Speaker 6 (02:02:26):
Yeah, I mean, I know I can go ahead and
cobble together a good time on my own, but I
want to make sure everybody else has a good time.
Speaker 3 (02:02:32):
You know, it works good to help that all happen.
I bet ars no doubt about it. I'm enjoying right now.
We'll come back and talk about that. The lovely Lisa Halverson,
thank you for being awesome putting all of this tagether.
We love you girl.
Speaker 2 (02:02:45):
You know that.
Speaker 6 (02:02:46):
Lisa Halverson, Bren and I return on the other side
and we'll close it down with a look at the
college football schedule later on. To know, I think coming
up tomorrow as well, Brent and I to close it
and we'll get to the cold tappy hour coming up

this sports Locker WISH TV channel eight brick, Dan Landman

here in Pendleton.
Speaker 13 (02:05:50):
Yes.
Speaker 6 (02:05:50):
Uh, that's a woodworking business. And he also does commercial playgrounds.
Speaker 3 (02:05:56):
Too, so that is cool. Hell.
Speaker 6 (02:05:58):
And the reason why this brick is cool because this
was a part of sports Locker on WISH TV Channel
eight with I guess you would call it my mentor
he'd be really embarrassed if you.
Speaker 3 (02:06:09):
Heard me say that.
Speaker 6 (02:06:09):
He'd be go, Man, I don't think I'll kick your
ass for saying that. Mark Patrick. Yeah, Mark Patrick was
a part of this on WISH TV Channel eight on
sports Locker eight years ago. If you remember too, that's
when you had sports Locker. You had the Sports Jam
on thirteen, you had Sports Nuts with Day First on
(02:06:34):
our TV six, and then you still had the fifty
nine overtime, which holds true today on Fox fifty nine.
Speaker 3 (02:06:41):
You had four competing Sunday.
Speaker 6 (02:06:44):
Night sports shows if you remember back in the day,
So now I think you have you have Fox fifty
nine and whatever.
Speaker 3 (02:06:53):
