Speaker 1 (00:10):
And where are we going here?
Speaker 2 (00:13):
Anything you have a chance against us?
Speaker 3 (00:14):
Mister cowboy? Hey, what do you like to do?
Speaker 1 (00:18):
Oh? I don't know. Play chess? Screw Sweller's play chest.
Speaker 4 (00:23):
They give off the Jonathan Taylor Chuck cunning its way
walk to the goal line. He's in there, put down
And why Jonathan Taylor were fines?
Speaker 1 (00:36):
Here's Hanniker into the front.
Speaker 5 (00:38):
Court, mishandled it.
Speaker 1 (00:39):
Mcgainst a shot, hands it, John.
Speaker 4 (00:44):
I have never been better to be on the air
with you here in Indianapolis, a place where so many
of my dreams have come true.
Speaker 6 (00:51):
With a ride with JMV on ninety three five and
one O seven.
Speaker 1 (00:55):
Five The Fan. You know I love going out. I
think we know that. I tell you all the time.
I love going out.
Speaker 4 (01:01):
I would rather do live shows out than I would
do shows in studio, even with I moved to the
new studios coming up here next week.
Speaker 1 (01:08):
But I will say I love getting out and about
as we are right now.
Speaker 4 (01:13):
And I think once before we have been in Columbus, Indiana,
and that was years earlier. We were kind of recollecting
that a little bit earlier. I think it was going
back at the end of what was a very uncharacteristically
warm December back during the cold season, but it hasn't
been for a while.
Speaker 1 (01:33):
But today we change all of that.
Speaker 4 (01:35):
We are downtown at the Garage in downtown Columbus, and
this is a fantastic place.
Speaker 1 (01:43):
I talked to Robin.
Speaker 4 (01:43):
I got here a little bit earlier today because the
one thing I'm about I don't know. Thirty five or
so minutes from where I live. This is an easy commute,
easy drive for me. But I came down a little
bit early, and for whatever reason, I always get twisted
around here in Columbus.
Speaker 1 (01:57):
I end up thinking I'm going east and I'm going west.
Speaker 4 (02:00):
For whatever reason, Columbus does that to me a little bit,
so hopefully it doesn't do that to you. But it
is a great place. I often come down here anyway.
So for the first time in the garage, that's where
we are. Our week fourteen picks with Larcity Bourbon locks
and Lunazul tequila shot starts later on today and we're
(02:20):
in the midst of a lot of things happening, and certainly,
as Jake and I were conversing about on the Crossover
brought to you by Love Heating and Air, it is
still surreal thinking about IEU football.
Speaker 1 (02:33):
And believe me, I live and I come from the
land of butt hurt.
Speaker 4 (02:37):
You know that I'm butt hurt about a lot of things,
and I'm honest about it, and I'll tell you if
I'm chafing a little bit in that particular area.
Speaker 1 (02:45):
But I do.
Speaker 4 (02:46):
I live at times in the land of butt hurt.
And I understand why if you're a Purdue fan or
a Notre Dame fan, or a fan of anything else
that is not IU, how you also come from the
land of.
Speaker 1 (03:00):
But heard right now. But you have to understand that
this has never been seen before.
Speaker 4 (03:07):
And I think the Kurtz Signetti has this thing on
track for it to sustain longer than two years. But
let's face it, We've seen a lot of things change
in the landscape of athletics. So there's no promise that
is going to happen next year or the year after next,
or damn straight ever again.
Speaker 1 (03:27):
So what do I tell you?
Speaker 4 (03:28):
Much like when I told the Colt, you know, do
it for Sauce Gardner, Go get him trade those two
number ones in ad Mitchell and then a month later
he gets injured. But that's what I say, Go do it,
and go do it right now, because you got more
now than ever to live in the moments and give
IU fans their due, to be able to live in
(03:49):
a moment to where we'll talk about IU basketball living
down to some expectations last night on the road in
that first Big Ten game for Darren Devrees and company
US at Minnesota seventy three sixty four.
Speaker 1 (04:02):
So that's weird, although I.
Speaker 4 (04:05):
Guess in the past eight years not as weird as
one may have reason to believe. But then you go
from the fact that that place downtown on Saturday is
going to be off its proverbial rocker.
Speaker 1 (04:21):
It is going to be incredible.
Speaker 4 (04:23):
So we will talk a lot about you and that
matchup with Ohio State because this, again is uncharted territory.
Speaker 1 (04:32):
I can tell you IU fans are excited about anything.
Speaker 4 (04:35):
Back in the day, you get excited, you know, you
go to some kind of backup bowl game or your
bowl eligible and you get excited about it. I mean,
this is absolutely crazy talk to think about. So I
do get your issues again if you do, Hayland of
but hurts because I do too. But you just have
to get used to it until IU and that football
(04:57):
program proves where they are right now now otherwise Now,
I will also say I don't give everybody the opportunity
to probably at some point get a little bit, a
little bit of payback, but at this time it is
a lot about IU football. We'll do that with Chad Brown,
the former Steelers linebacker, is a part of the Compass
Radio network and he's on the call coming up on Saturday.
Speaker 1 (05:20):
Chad's going to join us. I think he also does
Seahawks games.
Speaker 4 (05:22):
So maybe a little bit of preview further down the
road with the Colts and the Seahawks coming up next weekend,
but this weekend, the Colts on the road in Jacksonville.
We'll talk about that with Mike Chappell coming up at
the five o'clock hour, And as I mentioned a little
bit earlier, we are going to have the opportunity to
talk to a lot of folks in and around Columbus
(05:43):
that we see but we don't see as often in
live shows as we would love to, and today in
Columbus we will do that in our Larcenite bourbon locks
and Luna Zuel tequila shots coming up in the four
o'clock hour for week number fourteen.
Speaker 1 (05:58):
So with all of that, and yeah, I did sidestep
the pacers.
Speaker 4 (06:01):
I go to see jokicch last night and a fifty
two point performance from Jamal Murray broke out. And I
will say this, that is not as compelling as Jokis
doing his triple double thing because Jamal Murray didn't miss anything.
Speaker 1 (06:15):
He was like ten of eleven from three.
Speaker 4 (06:19):
And while that is incredible, there were times when I
thought it'd be really great if maybe somebody put a
hand up or got any general vicinity of him defensively.
Speaker 1 (06:29):
But we know where the pacers are.
Speaker 4 (06:31):
I was there awesome time watching Jokic, not so much
regarding the pacers, and I sure as hell didn't go
to watch Jamal Murray score fifty two. Elas that's what
happened last night in that Pacer loss. We get a
lot of the table for you today as well. I
mentioned a little bit earlier that number twenty two Indiana
loss on the road at Minnesota.
Speaker 1 (06:52):
Honestly, both I, you and Louisville lost last.
Speaker 4 (06:55):
Night, and they collide and our friend Don Fisher, who's
going to join us the Voice of the Hoosiers tomorrow,
is going to be doing the double dip He's going
to do you Louisville at Gamebridge on Saturday afternoon and
then the Big Ten title game on the IU Radio
Network with Buck Shore coming up later on on that evening.
Don joins us tomorrow. Meantime, Brent Halverson of Heaven Hill
(07:16):
Distillery is here. I know our friend Christian Webber the
Brown County Music Center is here. He's going to join
us as well. It's nice because this is pretty close
to your home ground right here, isn't it.
Speaker 7 (07:26):
It is Man just about twenty miles south of here,
good old Seymour, Indiana. So I've spent a little time
here in wonderful Columbus and good to see some Columbus friends.
Speaker 4 (07:35):
Look at that right there, I see the Columbus friends
coming out to see Brandy mat are here, which is great.
So Matt Matt Hoop for Greg Lancing at Indiana State.
Shout out to Spencer Thompson, by the way, who made
this yetie cup for me with JMV with the Indiana
State Sycamores. Always a sycamore even if things aren't so
bright right now. Hopefully at some point we can turn
(07:56):
it around again. But yeah, good to see your friends.
Yeah today you know what's cool though.
Speaker 7 (08:01):
I mean, and we pulled in and I guess there's
some kind of like a not so silent night party
going on the street tonight.
Speaker 1 (08:06):
So oh, it's like it's going to be a time
start here. It looks like it's getting ready to start.
Speaker 6 (08:11):
I like it.
Speaker 7 (08:12):
Yeah, I'm gonna say probably five o'clock.
Speaker 1 (08:14):
I would guess.
Speaker 4 (08:14):
It's a very unique downtown area, is it not. Columbus
is nice.
Speaker 7 (08:20):
I used to come up there. It used to be
a mall right over here in the Commons, the Commons. Yeah,
come up here as a kid, and they had this
big playground and we go play.
Speaker 1 (08:27):
Chess, kidding in there where you bought your parachute pants
back then.
Speaker 8 (08:30):
You know.
Speaker 1 (08:30):
I think so I did have some parachute pants back
in the day.
Speaker 4 (08:33):
So I used to go to the fair Oaks Mall
all the time. I was all about But that's when
I was fat and couldn't wear clothes. I'd go into
Carson's and they go, man, I wish I could squeeze
into these jeans, and I couldn't do it. But Carson's
was a place in the fair Oaks Mall. And then
I think there's still a sporty good store over there.
But I am very familiar with Columbus, Indiana.
Speaker 1 (08:52):
Love.
Speaker 7 (08:52):
It's a great spot and you know it's cool. I
mean it is great to be here. To garage pub
and grill is awesome. I mean, I've been here several times.
I hope we're gonna have Robin come up and talk
about what's going on here too a little bit. But uh,
just the the the like you're saying, close knit, everything's great.
I mean, it's awesome to be here. It's awesome for
us to be able to come down. You know, we
were fortunately we were in Bloomington a couple of weeks ago.
Down in Columbus, now, I dig it, get down a
(09:14):
little bit.
Speaker 4 (09:15):
I like going out and I know, you know, uh,
I think it was It wasn't Nicole that mentioned maybe
we're trying to go in and around it out a
little bit further to that.
Speaker 1 (09:23):
Yes, she was talking Lafayette got some interest to get
us up there.
Speaker 4 (09:27):
So maybe before a Boilermaker game is something like that,
because I know I talked to him. The theme was
like living in the world the butt her and you know,
everybody kind of gets butter because you're yeah, man, you're
I you and Coult that's all you're doing well.
Speaker 1 (09:40):
I mean, it is a pretty damn big deal, to
be honest with you.
Speaker 4 (09:43):
But we do realize that Purdue is rgning number one
in the nation, and I thought maybe we could get
up there at some point. There you go, shout out
to those And by the way, there is a host
on this station that has Matt Painter on often, which
would be me right here. But I think doing a
show in Lafayette before a boiler Maker game would be
one hell of a time.
Speaker 7 (10:04):
Absolutely no, it's and again, you know, look a great,
great time for Indiana sports. You know, we look at
we got coming up this weekend. You know, unfortunately the
Hoosiers didn't pull off the w last night, but they're
starting season good.
Speaker 1 (10:17):
That was a struggle, that was a struggle. There got
a struggle and had some.
Speaker 4 (10:21):
Dudes that couldn't couldn't shoot it defensively, they got locked
up and I guess now you still kind of look
at that as a learning experience, but unfortunately that is
something that could haunt you further down the road. Hopefully
they can make up for that at some point, and
that starts, I think on Saturday, with Louisville who also
took a lass.
Speaker 7 (10:38):
Ye look at that Saturday in Indy though, right, I mean,
you got the Hoosiers in Louisville playing some college hoops
early in the day and then double up and get
a little Indiana Hoosier football number two in the country
versus number one Ohio State. That is gonna be a battle,
my friend, and a little bit well talk about here
in a little bit, but I use a four point
favor now opened up at five and a half.
Speaker 1 (10:58):
So a little bit of money on IU too, how
about that? I know, I like it. I like it.
They're they're a favorite, right, they're a favorite.
Speaker 7 (11:04):
Yeah, I was checking on tickets to tickets are pretty astronomical.
Speaker 1 (11:08):
Last I checked. You get in the building for upwards
of six or or seven. That's hanging banners up on
the very top of the I'm not going there. I
might get like sick. Yeah, I mean, I have a
little problem out there. I don't know.
Speaker 4 (11:23):
That's pretty high up and looking pretty far down right there.
It's gonna be. It's gonna be a game, though.
Speaker 7 (11:27):
I mean, if you look at the the whole season's
going together like it is, and two undefeated teams both
Big Ten Big Ten Championship. This is going to kind
of probably even put a little steak in that Heisman
talk too. When you've got the two heisman.
Speaker 4 (11:41):
And he got saying, I know our good friend Spincer Thompson,
if Thompson Furniture is going to stie by here and
we're going to have some yetti thermoses with heis Mendoza
that he has on them he's going to give away while.
Speaker 1 (11:50):
We're here as he shows up a little bit later on.
Speaker 4 (11:53):
Yeah, between Saying and Mendoza, it probably will come down
to just that. I was talking to Kevin Bowen yesterday.
He was a big time Irish fan, and you know
Irish fans. I guess they're gonna be kind of sweating
this whole weekend out if there's a great deal of chaos.
I can't imagine that Notre Dame gets left out, but
you know, well we'll see, I guess because they are
(12:14):
in that position because they scheduled the way that they
did and didn't take care of it early. But you know,
since that texas A and m loss, it's been incredibly strong,
There's no.
Speaker 1 (12:23):
Doubt about it.
Speaker 7 (12:24):
And you've also got still may have to sweat a
little bit this week. They're going to have to, but
hopefully the luck of the Irish is going to get
him in. You know, see how that comes together. But love, right,
he's another one that's a bit hopeful and that they
talk to.
Speaker 4 (12:35):
So the running back, the running back should be the
same as like it is in the MVP in the NFL,
to where it's like an afterthought, Yeah right, Twitterly it's
going to be a quarterback. Is the Heisman a quarterback
or should be a quarterback award like the NFL has
for the MVP, which is basically a quarterback.
Speaker 7 (12:50):
It is, it is, and it's going to be tough.
But again if you if they get in, I mean,
it's just going to be you know, it's going to
come down to I think it really comes down these
two quarterbacks since off Saturday, and the winner is probably
going to come out and strive to the top.
Speaker 1 (13:03):
So hopefully it's Mendoza and hopefully the Hoosiers.
Speaker 4 (13:06):
Fall off a big w Why so much the Vegas
lead in the direction of Iu because it's funny, like
everybody that has brought an argument to me, they always
reference what took place in Columbus last November, and yeah,
that's what it's going to look like again.
Speaker 1 (13:21):
So why does that IU lean right now?
Speaker 7 (13:24):
Well, I think you know, you had a lot of
people talking for many, many weeks, months actually of I
use not this big team that everybody thinks, but then
every time they said that, look what they did, they
went out and just steamrolled people. And you know, they've
had a couple of close ones in the last couple
of weeks. But I think that it's really going to
come down people see what they've done, right, And I
think both these defenses are stout.
Speaker 1 (13:44):
It's not going to be a high score and shootout.
I think that.
Speaker 7 (13:46):
Total's hovered around forty eight somewhere around there. So it's
going to be a good battle. And I think it's
going to come down to who makes the less mistakes,
you know, So it's really going to come down to
I think the Hoosier squad. I think what people Knownetti
has done, They know what he does in these big games.
His preparation, you know, Ryan, they doing the same thing.
But I think it's going to come down to preparation.
(14:09):
And I think the Hoosiers are going to be all
about them this year.
Speaker 4 (14:11):
Well, well, the one thing that they took from a
year ago was the shortcoming that they clearly had against
Ohio State. And you saw the upgrades that they put
into motion on the offensive line and who they brought in,
you know, and Coogan and Benson and trying to raise
the level of physicality on the offensive line on the
defensive line because a lot of what they witnessed in Columbus.
(14:32):
You know, it's one of those things where you know,
you play to win these games, but you also take
away from some disappointment what you can do better. And
if there's one thing that Kurt Signetti probably has done
as well, if not the best, as anybody across the
landscape of college football, is knowing exactly what his team
needs positionally speaking, when you know, basically you can go
(14:55):
out there and utilize NIL on the transfer portal as
a free agency at a year out.
Speaker 7 (15:00):
And what he's done with that has has really just
is we've talked about it, right, It's catapulted Indiana into
that conversation. We're not seeing all the sec and you know,
all these big schools that have been doing for so long,
granted they probably had some pre NIL stuff going on
under the table. But there's a lot of money that's
coming in and what Signetti has done for the program
has kind of opened that pocketbook up.
Speaker 4 (15:22):
Right.
Speaker 7 (15:22):
They've got the power to go out and get these
guys to come in that make a difference, and that's
what Mendoz has done this year.
Speaker 4 (15:27):
That's Bret Olverson betting analyst and haven't held distillery with
us for the first time. We're at the garage in
Columbus and we would love to see you with us
down here. We got our picks coming up Week fourteen,
largely Abourbon locks a Luna's Ail tequila shots.
Speaker 1 (15:40):
You know it's funny. I don't think you can.
Speaker 4 (15:43):
At least I can, and I know most people when
you're doing the whole betting thing against the number, you
know you're doing it and you're thinking about it monetarily.
I think about this Week fourteen matchup in Jacksonville in
terms of how I am hoping that the table is
set for the remainder of the season, right. I think
that's fair because I just I don't want to be
(16:07):
pissy for the rest of the year, you know what
I mean.
Speaker 1 (16:09):
I mean, I get tired of turning on things and
listening to pissy people, and I don't want to be pissy.
Speaker 4 (16:15):
Thus I'm going to have a really hard time because
I know the Colts are what a one and a
half point favored in Jacksonville.
Speaker 1 (16:22):
And granted, I completely.
Speaker 4 (16:23):
Realize why there is zero reason that anybody should look
at this and go, oh, yeah, that's the hell of
about to make right there, because especially the way the
Colts have been playing and maybe even more magnified, the
way that they're playing on both sides of the line
and the way they're.
Speaker 1 (16:39):
Protecting a quarterback with the crackstick.
Speaker 4 (16:42):
So I still look at it this way with a
personal view, I don't want to really have to talk
about this team if they lose again in Jacksonville.
Speaker 1 (16:54):
They haven't won there since twenty fourteen.
Speaker 4 (16:55):
I know, again, there's so much of a lean and
a reason as to why you you either a wouldn't
touch it with a ten foot pole or there's zero
way you would go with the Colts.
Speaker 1 (17:05):
But my lean on this, Brint is I don't.
Speaker 4 (17:07):
Want the aftermath and I don't want to talk about
an eight and five team that started seven and one.
It is absolutely cramp crapping their pants right out of
the division and right out of the postseason, I don't
really want to have that week long conversation and fair
or unfair, that's how I feel.
Speaker 1 (17:23):
Well it's coming, honest, I hear you.
Speaker 7 (17:25):
It's gonna be tough too, because like you say, you've
got he's got a crack stick.
Speaker 1 (17:28):
I like that reference crack stick. We don't know how
depth or how detailed the fibula is, but.
Speaker 7 (17:34):
Yeah, you know what's wild because over the last I
think it's the Colts are three fifteen and one against
the number again in Jacksonville playing Jacksonville. So Jacksonville's had
the Colts number in the past too, you know. And
to see the Colts come out at a one and
a half point favorite interesting line there, you know. I
think there's some there's definitely some conversation to be had
(17:54):
about how that's going to go down. So I hope
you don't have that conversation either. I hope they come
in there and get a w they need it. Get
back up on the winning street, right.
Speaker 1 (18:02):
I am mister skirt up must win guy.
Speaker 4 (18:05):
And we've had a lot of must wins and I
can't document them all because I do it so frequently.
Speaker 1 (18:12):
But I'll be damned that this is not a must
win coming up on Saturday. Four Fay.
Speaker 4 (18:18):
There's zero way that this is not a must win
considering what you have on the horizon. And then you
still have Jacksonville and Houston to go, one at home
and then one on the road, and then you know
you're losing to a division rival after you lost at
home to a division rival. Either this thing ends on Sunday,
or you're going to be looking at a team that's
(18:41):
going to slide right out of any postseason, any chance
to win the division in the end of this season.
Speaker 1 (18:47):
And then what are you left with?
Speaker 4 (18:49):
I mean, really, you're left in ruin because you banked
on and that's why I was all on board with it.
You banked on trading at the trade deadline for Sauce
Gardner and now he's injured with a capsit situation, and
then what do you do afterwards? You can't reset and
rebuild player wise. People say, well, you know, Daniel Jones
isn't going to be back. He's not that good anyway,
(19:10):
he has to be back. Where the hell else you
gonna go? Riley Leonard, all due respect to Riley Leonard,
I say Riley Leonard. I think with a good reason,
what the hell, no way, So you got to come
back with Daniel Jones. I mean you may reset the coach,
maybe you reset the general manager. Probably so, but there's
no way you can have a complete reset. And then
we're all going to think about, Brent, what would have
(19:33):
happened if they would not have started seven and one?
Would it have been better if you would have just
wiped a slate clean back in January and then started
to rebuild instead of tantalizing the fan base out there
and then sliding into oblivion where I think you would
be if you end up losing this game of Jacksonville
on Sunday, Well, it's.
Speaker 7 (19:53):
Much better than sliding into the oblivion from the start,
because then you just kind of shut the season down, right.
Speaker 1 (19:57):
They got some hope, they know what they know, what
the team do. It's just getting people held.
Speaker 4 (20:01):
I think it would be better than to suck at
the start than it would to say, hey, look at this,
I'm gonna go ahead and tease you. That's the I though,
the elephant, the elephant Titus. Remember when we're dudes back
in the day, you get elephant Titus of or blue.
They call it blue blanks.
Speaker 1 (20:15):
That's what that is. Seriously, in terms of football for
your favorite team.
Speaker 4 (20:20):
That's the tease that the Colts would be if you
start seven and one and you fade out of things
like hopefully they don't do Yeah.
Speaker 7 (20:27):
But again they we know what they can do, right,
they just have to get the guy. They have to
get healthy. That's really it comes down to. And the
crack stick or the broken stick, whatever you call them.
That that's that's a big thing, right. I mean, it
takes the mobility out of what Daniel Jones can do
that has gotten him to this point.
Speaker 8 (20:42):
Right.
Speaker 7 (20:42):
So it's it's gonna be interesting to see because you know,
this is the worst time that can happen is you
know the defense is just hone in on right now, right,
and but look what Jonathan Taylor's done. You know he's
got to get back in action and going to so hey,
we'll see. It's gonna be a great game down in Jacksonville.
And uh, looking forward to a big, big Sunday our.
Speaker 1 (21:00):
Picks coming up at four.
Speaker 4 (21:01):
I flood guarantee you Christian Webbs had the Elephant Titus
of these sports, you know what with the podres back
in the day.
Speaker 1 (21:07):
I only there's any question about that. Right.
Speaker 4 (21:09):
We got our picks coming up to the garage, and
Columbus is our location. Man, We'll take a break and
come back and yep, you ap it up here all
day long, right sir, Absolutely, let's do it all right?
Speaker 9 (21:18):
What is this?
Speaker 1 (21:19):
Where are we right now? What is the street right here?
Is it a street? Fourth Street?
Speaker 3 (21:23):
Right?
Speaker 1 (21:23):
Fourth Street? I love it?
Speaker 4 (21:24):
Downtown Downtown Columbus is unique. The only guy walking in
as the president of Triple Are. Yeah, he's a good dude.
Speaker 1 (21:31):
Hey tell the guy I think I ran out of
gas out there? Can you go fill my tank?
Speaker 4 (21:37):
That's Matt Gowins right there. The pride of Jennings County
High School is in the house right here.
Speaker 1 (21:42):
I told you bart.
Speaker 4 (21:44):

Speaker 1 (22:49):
So I will tell you this straight up. I'm gonna
be really pissed.
Speaker 4 (22:54):
If I'm in Columbus, Indiana at the incredible garage location
with our great friend Robin the owner heaven Hill Distillery,
Brent Holvers and Letercity Bourbon Locks, Luna's Ault tequila shots.
And if local legend Kevin Johnson does not show up here.
I know he's not playing basketball. I saw him about
(23:16):
a year ago. I know he's not playing basketball right now,
but I need to see a kJ in the house here,
so put the bat signal out somebody to Kevin Johnson,
the local legend meantime on the Andy Moore Automotive Group
pot Line. He's on the call coming up on Saturday
with good reason Compass Radio Network. You know him formally
in Pittsburgh and Seattle. Defensively, he was outstanding in his
(23:40):
years in the NFL. Chad Brown joins US now in
the Andy Moore Automotive Group Potline.
Speaker 1 (23:45):
Good afternoon, Chad. How are you.
Speaker 3 (23:48):
I am Fanahata looking forward to a fun weekend of football.
How are you, my friend?
Speaker 1 (23:53):
Are you staked out in Seattle right now?
Speaker 3 (23:57):
I am actually at my place in Arizona looking at
camel Back Mountain as I talked.
Speaker 1 (24:02):
To you, Oh, I got you.
Speaker 4 (24:05):
Well, I used to do a dart at like the
map of the United States and said, I wonder if
he's here. So that's kind of what I did right
about that. But no, it sounds like you're in a
much better place. Well, you're going to be in a
great place coming into town this weekend. Your first thought
about this matchup and how much ONNUS do you put
on what went down over a year ago with these
(24:26):
two teams Chad and Columbus.
Speaker 9 (24:30):
Oh.
Speaker 3 (24:31):
I think this Indiana program is at a different place
than what they were last year. I think obviously actually
we saw them as a Cinderella story in the arrive
of Kirksani and Indiana, and we thought that the reckoning
would come, that it was a great story, but they
didn't have enough backbone behind him, a solumnist behind them,
And now this year it's a completely different story. In
(24:55):
some ways, I would equate back to maybe my Colorado
Buffalo's back in the eighteen eighty nine we played Notre
Dame in the Orange Role, and while we were undefeated,
we hadn't been through the rigors who were not tested
that season, and so Notre Dame had obviously been in
big games like that before. They were far more big
game ready. The next year in nineteen ninety, we played
(25:18):
them in the Orange Bowl again, same three teams in
the same matchup, and we find a way to get
to win because we were more battle tested, We were
ready for that type of environment. And I think Indiana's
taken the lessons from last year and they've been a
tremendous team all season long, but I think Indiana was
looking for a bit of revenge.
Speaker 4 (25:38):
Yeah, it's a Chad Brown, and I mentioned he played
at Colorado. I think that's a good connection and a
relatable you make right here too. Now, obviously the world
of college athletics, the landscape was much different back when
you were in Boulder with the butt as infiltrators. And
that's how I've described this IU football program. It's like
(25:58):
the grandfather in col football programs with the long story
and history don't really like it when the new kid
on the block, so to speak, kind of steps in
and sticks their nose into things. And you guys did
that back in the late eighties, and that's kind of
what I you, in a different situation, is doing and
has done in the past two years.
Speaker 3 (26:20):
I think there's a lot of similarities to the Colorado
and IU story, and part of that is a tremendous
head coach, the guy who comes in and returns of
program not just to being pretty good, but actually it
took greatness until so Colorado was Jill McCartney the force
of personality he needed to pull all that off. And
(26:42):
now we see Kertzgetti doing a similar thinking and different
ages and errors in college football. But at the same time,
the coach who has a plan, the coach who understands
football but also understands how to bring people together, how
to get people on the same page, how to create
buy in. That's what coach McCartney did at Colorado. That's
(27:02):
what curtis doing at IU, and the results are showing
up on the field, the amazing quick turnaround and he's
been able to produce up there in tremendous play both
sides of the ball. I saw in my duties for
Compass Media this year. I called games at Alabama and
Oklahoma and saw LSU and saw some of the best
(27:25):
teams in the country, teams that are going to be
in the playoffs. I didn't see Ohio State, but I
saw Indiana and person and they were the best team
in all three phases I saw all year long. So
I know Ohio State is a really very good, talented
football team, well coached. But Indiana is certainly at their
level and deserves to be in this game. And I
(27:46):
was thinking, man, this is going to be a very
very close game because of the similarities between these two teams.
Speaker 4 (27:52):
Either the former NFL or former Colorado Buffalo Chad Brown
is going to be in the building coming up on
Saturday night, Big ten Times Game, Compass Radio Network breaking
down the matchup with Ayo and Ohio State right now
and Andy Moore Automotive Group podline, So is this going
to decide the Heisman Trophy?
Speaker 1 (28:09):
Mendoza and saying who comes out of this game looking
the best?
Speaker 9 (28:14):
I think so?
Speaker 3 (28:15):
I think so. Mendoza has been awesome all year. He
had a game where he he was ninety plus percent
completions at the game I had. I think he was
twenty one of twenty four or something like that. So
he's been tremendous all year long, and he's been in
the Heisman Trophy conversation all year long, Julian saying how
to kind of wrap his way up into it. But
(28:37):
he's also an almost eighty percent passer on the season. Clearly,
both guys have great coordinators that got talent around them.
But singularly as quarterbacks, they are accurate, they are smart,
they are excellent processors within the pocket. I think the
experience that Mendoza has give him a tick maybe better
(29:02):
cool and calmness within the pocket. But at the same time,
I would you know, I would be quite happy if
my college football team, but I was a fan of,
had either one of these guys under center.
Speaker 1 (29:13):
It's a Chad Brown.
Speaker 4 (29:14):
Hey, before I let you go to when you look
at the experience that I you and his team and
obviously not all together, but the college football experience in general,
compared to what you see with Ohio State, does that
give you any weight to think that there's an advantage
there at all?
Speaker 3 (29:37):
When you talk about the experience you talking about, Yeah, no.
Speaker 4 (29:40):
Matter what they are, You've got a lot You've got
to No, I You've got a lot of IU football
players that have played Chad a lot, and I mean
a lot of college football over the years. How much
does that play a role in like a winner take
all Big Ten situation like Saturday Night.
Speaker 3 (29:58):
I think it does, and I think it's plays a
big role the more things that you have seen, not
just the big game environment, but also just the more
situations you have seen, because in the end, football it
tends to come down to in the close game, as
I expect this to be three to five plays that
turn the direction of the football game, and those three
(30:20):
to five players are probably going to be situational plays
if everyone on the field understand the situation on the
field and what is the right play to make in
this situation. So if you've got as many players with
as much deep experience as how you have, they've seen
those situations before. They've heard the coaches talk about, Okay,
this is a high red zone. This is where offenses
(30:42):
want to take a shot. Dvs be ready for here.
This is the last opportunity before they move into the
near red zone where they can take a shot at us.
So understand that that situation. Understand what typically happens when
you have a turnover and the sudden change a lot
of the offensive quarters and cornings on dial up a
trick play or go with the deep play action pass.
(31:03):
When you've seen that enough times, you're not going to
be fooled. You're going to be prepared for the moment.
And so the team that better understands those three to
five plays that I'm talking about would probably be the
team that comes ahead in this ballgame. And because I
you have so much experience, I think that tends to
favor them in that particular part of the matchup.
Speaker 4 (31:24):
Speaking of experience, you have experience with the Seattle Seahawks.
I don't know if you mind or not, but if
my producer James gets ahold of you next week, can
we carve out a spot maybe to talk Colts and
Seahawks with you?
Speaker 1 (31:36):
Would you mind?
Speaker 3 (31:39):
I would love to see to have that conversation. I
was just calling the Seahawks Minnesota game last week, but
not much of the game. It was a contest between
two teams, but it wasn't a game on the scoreboard.
I'm glad to be happy to talk about my former team,
the Hawks, and the massive against the Colts, who are
obviously towards the top bill conference and with an opportunity
(32:02):
to make a deep playoff run this year.
Speaker 1 (32:05):
U Chad, I'll tell you what. James is my producer.
Speaker 4 (32:08):
I'm going to have him talk with you when he
puts you on hold, and we'll set you up for
next week and eat your little preview going off for
that game too. But hey, safe, travels from Arizona to
Indy and maybe we'll see you downtown. But have a
great time this weekend because downtown Indy is going to
be explosively awesome and I have a great game call too.
Speaker 3 (32:27):
All right, Well, I appreciate you good talking to you
have a good one.
Speaker 4 (32:30):
Chad Brown right there the Compass Radio Network, James go
ahead and set him up for next week two. He
also does the Seahawks games, which will work out for
us with the coltson Seattle coming up next week again.

here are you. I didn't go out on you. I
apologize show you that. So to show up, well, I
thought I didn't know if we're on the same page.
I didn't really know, but yeah, you're right, I do, man,

Brown County Music Center where you're going later on tonight
for Old Crow Medicine show. Absolutely the name is Christian Webb,
and he is I was just going to say this, Yeah,
that's because.
Speaker 7 (34:31):
He's sitting here. But I think I've said this all. Yes,
one of the greatest dudes I've ever met. I mean,
I have the pleasure of being a friend with but
what he does and what he does for the music
scene is absolutely amazing. And what they've done Brown County
Music Center, that's awesome. Holy cow, and you know you
know it as well, right, what.
Speaker 1 (34:46):
A place, Christian. Awesome to have you here, man, How
are you, brother, I'm doing great. Thank you having me, dude.
Speaker 4 (34:51):
I'm shocked at Bob Kravitz is still not asleep in
one of those lounge shares right there after the last
time he and Chris Hagen and I went down there.
Speaker 1 (34:58):
But no, it is. It is an absolute gym you
guys put together over Thank you.
Speaker 10 (35:03):
Yeah, I don't think I can follow, you know, Matt
with the giveaways and the membership.
Speaker 1 (35:07):
I am going to give away some items here too.
I'll do it here while I do have a show tonight.
Speaker 10 (35:12):
I also have a show tomorrow night Chris Young Great
Some Great Country, and then on Sunday I.
Speaker 1 (35:17):

Speaker 10 (35:19):
And for both of those shows, three pairs three two
pairs of VIP seats with VIP parking.
Speaker 1 (35:26):
Whoa if James, can you do that, buddy? James do John? However?
All right? Three sets of two VIPs? All right?
Speaker 4 (35:34):
Both both shows, James, you want to go with? You
got two of them? Want to go eight and nine?
James at two three, nine, ten seventy, and then I'll
give the winners' names to Christian.

We do that?
Speaker 1 (35:47):
Let's do it all right, two, nine, ten seventy one
more time? The two shows.
Speaker 10 (35:52):
I got Chris Young tomorrow night, Some Great Country, and
then on Sunday I got Blue October.
Speaker 1 (35:57):
That's kind of industrial rock on our rock yess rock.
That's be a good time. Talk about the spirit of giving, right.
Speaker 7 (36:04):
I mean, we got two great guys getting across here,
coming out just giving off.
Speaker 4 (36:07):
Every time we going, every time we go on talks.
I go, man, come on radio boy, take it easy.
I start talking like this too. Yeah, that's right. I
think it's contagious. Oh man, So how are things going
over at the bc MC.
Speaker 10 (36:21):
Things are great, Things are great. We are really busy
right now. We have ten shows over the next seventeen days,
mostly on the holiday spirit type of thing, and then
we just jump into twenty six.
Speaker 3 (36:32):
You know.
Speaker 10 (36:33):
That's the one great thing about our venue is we're indoors,
so we go all year long. Right now, we have
about forty five shows booked for twenty twenty six, so
we're ahead of our pace from last year. I'm going
to do about seventy eight to eighty to eighty shows
and we're very excited for it.
Speaker 7 (36:50):
So Christian, you guys opened up and was it twenty nineteen,
right before COVID, right.
Speaker 1 (36:54):
August of nineteen and in March of twenty the world collaps.
Speaker 7 (36:58):
Yes, that it'd be a tough thing, right, I mean,
everybody was looking forward to this, got up and running
and then just paused.
Speaker 1 (37:05):
But you guys, I mean, I'll tell you what, man,
I mean, what you have done that venue.
Speaker 7 (37:09):
The sound in there, the seating, there's not the furthest
seat away from the stages what one hundred and eight
feet or something like that. Correct, I mean, it's just
it is so awesome, holds two thousand people. I mean,
I've had the pleasure of seeing a couple of great
shows there. I'm really looking forward to Old Crow Medicine
show tonight, the holiday hoop Nanny, which I just heard about,
which is pretty cool. But no, So what you guys
(37:29):
have done, man, is you know, hats off to you.
You've been in the music scene a long time. What
you were doing for Old National Center. Now to hear
coming from California, California boy, little Padre Fanny coming to
the Midwest.
Speaker 10 (37:42):
Well, look, I know we're sitting here talking about the
music and the music Center. And first of all, I
have a wonderful team there. I could not do any
of this. All those folks deserve the credit. But I
will say, you know I did. There was a Padre
dig earlier, so thank you for that.
Speaker 1 (37:56):
That wasn't a dig. It's just kind of it's familiar
territory for many. I will say, it must have been
a good year. John. By June, you weren't out of
the playoff race yet, so it was a good year
for you. Guys as well, So we have very low expectations.
Speaker 10 (38:09):
Hopefully the Rets can continue it and get those cardinals
out here, because it's very low expectations.
Speaker 4 (38:15):
Hey, I always like to ask you this. Any shows
on the inbound here that were wease there are some.
Speaker 10 (38:22):
Big ones that are coming that I can't yet say.
I know we have the yacht Rock coming in February.
We're going to that too. Let me tell you that
Ambrosia February sixth. Yacht Rock will be coming back before
they make some bigger announcements for later this year. But no,
we do have we do have a couple of shows
coming that we're very excited about. They're going to be
out in the next couple of weeks.
Speaker 1 (38:43):
We know the great thing too.
Speaker 7 (38:44):
From where we're sitting here at the Garage Pub and
Grill on four Street, it is twenty minutes away. I
mean it's twenty twenty two, if you will, And I'm
looking forward. I mean, I just say, I love how
Brown County is really starting to grow right, like we've
talked about it, because I've got a place there and
I love seeing what's happening. And I think Brown count
what you guys have done at Brown County Music Center
is starting to make that change of what's going on
(39:06):
around there. So you know, it's pretty awesome to hear.
And then when you bring some of these big names
up that you guys have had, it's it's even better.
Speaker 1 (39:13):
So or do you do all the booking?
Speaker 3 (39:15):
Then?
Speaker 8 (39:15):
Do you?
Speaker 1 (39:15):
Are you the guy behind that? I mean, how's that happen?
Speaker 10 (39:17):
I literally cannot sit here and say that I do everything.
I do book some shows, but I've said the majority
of ours goes to our to our booking group, so
very very proud of what they're doing and the growth
that we're having there.
Speaker 7 (39:29):
I'm always intrigued by that, real, like, hell, that'd be cool, right,
I want to reach out my foot there before he
passed away, which was awesome.
Speaker 4 (39:35):
I saw Boss Gags there, who was most recently I
think in November at them Raw.
Speaker 1 (39:40):
I believe I saw Boss Gags there.
Speaker 4 (39:42):
Psychedelic first, not once but twice, Squeeze not once but twice, ABC,
Richard Blade, Howard Jones. I mean, it's just for somebody
like me that loves music, but specifically, you know, generationally speaking,
some different eras perfect Well, we have a little joke.
Speaker 10 (39:59):
Where we like to say we get him on the
way up or we get them on the way down,
and there's there's nothing wrong with that, right. Uh, you know,
we can't fill the twenty five thousand seats, but we
can fill the two thousand seats really really well.
Speaker 4 (40:10):
Now, you do a great job, absolutely, Christian, thanks for
coming out to you. Appreciate it, brother, Christian Webb. But
the Brown County Music Center by the way right there,
James sent me Christian the names fantastic Charles Tyree and
Josh McCord.
Speaker 1 (40:24):
I sent them to Brent, and Brent can send them
or I can send them to you. Hell, I don't
know what we're doing here, gotcha, But yeah, those two
are the winners for these shows.

You come back at five o'clock and we're gonna make picts.
Speaker 1 (43:52):
Right now.
Speaker 4 (43:53):
You come back into five, I want you to give
us the menus. Everybody coming in can get a menu.
And that I'm gonna take some stuff home too.
Speaker 1 (43:58):
Is that cool?
Speaker 4 (43:59):
That's right now? Hey, Matt, come on back here. We
got to do our picks right here, Matt Gowens of
Triple A. So let me go ahead and set the
stage for you Fourth Street. We're downtown Columbus, and we're
doing our large bourbon locks and Lunazul tequila shots. So
to my left, if you're watching inside the Triple A
Membership Lounge via YouTube live, it is Brent Halverson, our
betting analyst. Hello Brent, Hello John. Let me introduce everybody else.
(44:21):
Matt Gowan, the president IF and also the president of
Jennings County. But Matt Gowans, the president of Triple A,
is here as he gave away stuff a little bit earlier.
Good to see you brother here. Now what station did
you work for here in this market?
Speaker 1 (44:34):
Back in the day? It didn't work. I was just
a guest, just like on your show. Oh you were
a guest on? Can I say it does that? You
want Q mix?
Speaker 3 (44:39):
Right?
Speaker 4 (44:40):
Mix?
Speaker 1 (44:40):
You mix? Here the best radio station in Columbus.
Speaker 4 (44:44):
My first radio station gig was at one O six one.
It was WIN one O six w I n N
Mount Vernon or North Vernon. Seymour Columbus.
Speaker 1 (44:53):
Yeah, back in the day. That was my first guys
at Scipio.
Speaker 7 (44:56):
I did some stuff on ninety six point three w
JAA Seymour back in the day too.
Speaker 1 (45:00):
Yes you did. You did a mile from that radio
station and Scipio, Yeah you did. Oh yeah.
Speaker 4 (45:07):
I think Once upon a time a possum crawled up
in the ceiling and died and they couldn't find it
for a while, but it stunk up the place, so
I think I did. I had to run the board
for Doctor Demento while there was a dead possum decaying
in the ceiling.
Speaker 1 (45:22):
It was great, Doc. I think I got paid like
two fifty an hour to do that too, on a
Sunday night. It was great. Doctor Demento was fun though.
Short story. The first job ever applied for was there?
The first time I've ever been turned down? Was there?
Speaker 4 (45:35):
Really? I think I lasted about three months making that drive.
Spencer Thompson of Thompson Furniture is here as well. Now
you may know this name obviously because he does a
great job of Butler basketball and also a great job
on ninety three WIBC as well with his presence. But
he's joining us today makes the picks and I went
(45:55):
by the place a little bit earlier. Awesome as usual.
Speaker 12 (45:57):
Brother, Yeah, man, thanks so much for how having us,
and thanks for coming to Columbus.
Speaker 1 (46:01):
This is great.
Speaker 4 (46:02):
I love that too. Tell people about your place not
too far from where we sit right now.
Speaker 12 (46:07):
Yeah, we're just on the corner of twenty fifth and
Central and Columbus And next year will be our ninety
ninth anniversary. So my great grandfather started our business back
in twenty seven, so I'm.
Speaker 1 (46:16):
Just happy to back in twenty seven, back.
Speaker 12 (46:18):
In seven, so happy to continue it, happy to be
in Columbus, and happy to work with your station.
Speaker 1 (46:25):
Hammer and Nigel. Good they are. They are good friends
of mine. Member Nigel.
Speaker 4 (46:30):
I don't know if a lot of people know this,
but we have we have gatherings or meetings before when
I'm in the studio before every show in there.
Speaker 1 (46:38):
So we're pretty tight, all three of us right there.
So but no, good you do.
Speaker 4 (46:43):
Yeah, they are great dudes, and you do a great job.
And the way that you sound on WIBC and certainly
with Butler Basketball, we thank you very much for doing that.
That's Spencer. But Robin is the owner of the garage
and you just took ownership here recently.
Speaker 1 (46:59):
Did you not?
Speaker 4 (47:00):
We did.
Speaker 11 (47:00):
We bolled it the end of August, and my son
and I grant, we operated every day.
Speaker 1 (47:07):
That is outs So what compelled you to do this?
Speaker 11 (47:10):
I retired and I fell with Columbus up here five
years ago. I worked in a corporate job and I
fell in love here, And this is where we're gonna
We're gonna.
Speaker 1 (47:20):
Hang our hats. What was your corporate gig before you
retired and then took on this job.
Speaker 11 (47:25):
I was a vice president of operations for Circle K
Community Cool.
Speaker 4 (47:29):
We talked about this earlier because now it is weird
how everybody wants to raise the bar on convenience stores
every single time. Where they started and where it is
right now. It's unrecognizable, Robin, it really is, it really is.
Speaker 11 (47:43):
It's not just a gas station anymore.
Speaker 4 (47:47):
It is not, no man, And I mean if I
want to stop and get some sushi, that I may
stop and get some sushi of these places, you wouldn't
do that. I wanted to get the gas station sushi
right there. But it is amazing. I mean the way
that does all has evolved. Hey, tell us a little
bit about the place here, the garage on four Street
downtown with a festival that I guess is going right.
Speaker 11 (48:08):
It's not so silent nights tonight. It started at four
it'll go this evening till I think nine. And we're
right here on the corner across from Takoo at three
Oho eight four Street. All of our food here is
scratch made. We have a complete new menu. Shout out
to Troy, Shout out to Troy. Yeah, it took me
forever to name those names. Don't want to do that,
(48:30):
but you know, Troy and the team back there doing
an amazing job. We even handcutter and lettuce, not grate
our own cottage cheese.
Speaker 1 (48:37):
Where do you get here cotta cheese from? Can you
tell me from our what's that?
Speaker 11 (48:42):
It's from our food purveyor. I don't need cottage cheese.
Speaker 1 (48:45):
Can you tell me who's your food provider? US Foods?
Oh yeah, that's good stuff. I know what it is.
Speaker 4 (48:50):
I mean, I know US Foods, I know Gordon Food Service.
I know that that's always really solid material for cottage cheese.
Speaker 1 (48:56):
Right there.
Speaker 4 (48:57):
Okay, well, hey, I'm deepailing, But here's what's funny. Everybody
I'm around now orders that with their meal and including
this dude right here, every meal what they have it's
cotta cheese right there.
Speaker 11 (49:12):
So can I just I'm gonna have you try something different? Okay, okay,
bring my southern up here.
Speaker 1 (49:18):
You and I.
Speaker 4 (49:20):
You're not on the same page, though we've both been
on certain declines here so good declines, but it's been
it's been pretty awesome.
Speaker 1 (49:27):
Go ahead, breath. Where is where you from?
Speaker 6 (49:29):
Like?
Speaker 1 (49:29):
Originally?
Speaker 11 (49:30):
So I was born in Texas, okay, but I will
not pick the cowgirls. And I grew up in Georgia, okay. So,
and then I just started sixteen corporate moves into I
landed in Columbus, Indiana.
Speaker 1 (49:42):
And here you are, And well, I will tell you
te corporate moves that don't have a.
Speaker 7 (49:46):
Great spot here. This has been a great spot for
many years. But now to see what you guys are
doing and hear about the food and everything else about it.
Speaker 1 (49:53):
We're honored to be here.
Speaker 11 (49:54):
So thank you for I appreciate y'all coming and doing
this for us. This is a great thing for our
little city.
Speaker 4 (50:00):
Oh well, I love I mean, listen, I've known Matt
for a long time. We just met Robin and I
just met Spencer a little bit earlier, and this is
what we love doing. We love embracing the community. And
you guys are such the fabric of this community. And
I know Matt goes and Matt and Matt and Spencer
go all the way back, you know, to the high
school days, and it makes it even special when we
can all make that impact together like this, it makes
(50:22):
it more enjoyable. So it is you guys want to
make some picks. Week fourteen, Yeah, hey, James, go ahead,
cue the band. Week fourteen Larsity bourbon locks, lunas, all
tequila shots. We got a good one later off tonight.
Brent Cassella is in the Lions. Last check Lions three
point favorites at Ford Field. Was not a good Thanksgiving
thanks to Brent Holverson's packers, moll lay the three give
(50:43):
me the Lions, brother.
Speaker 1 (50:44):
Yeah, I'll tell you what.
Speaker 7 (50:45):
Speaking of Thanksgiving, that was a one of the best
days I've had in my betting career because all the
dogs won. I had a money line dog Parlay paid
one thousand dollars. Just beautiful day, but Green Bay winning
was huge. Now let's go back to this. So Detroit
they are They're they're kind of hitting the uphill climb
right now. They've got a little bit of a They've
got a lot of injury, and I'm on Ross Saint Brown.
(51:06):
He is questionable, so I want to hear to see
if he's going to play tonight or not. Dallas has
been going the other way. They had a horrible defense,
but now they're starting to get back and rolling. I'm
gonna go ahead and take the Dallas Cowboys to not
only cover the three, but to win this game thirty
to twenty seven.
Speaker 1 (51:21):
Give me the Cowboys. Spencer Thompson thomps in front of
your hand, Columbus, what do you got, brother?
Speaker 12 (51:25):
I think I gotta go with the Lions. They got
to get something going. I'm going Lions, all right.
Speaker 1 (51:31):
Robin's the owner of the garage, Robin.
Speaker 11 (51:33):
She is going with the Lions.
Speaker 4 (51:35):
Robin goes to the Lions. Triple A PREZ from Jennings County.
It's Matt Gowins, Matt Lions. Over eight hundred yards total
offensive teams. There will be a lot of It's going
to be a shootout, Dad, Yeah, extra stats from Goings
right there. Well done, Hey, Seahawks. Get the Colts coming
up next week. This week they get the Falcons on
(51:56):
the road seven point favorite. Span Falcons have been recently disappointed.
There are kind of circling the drain right now. Late
of seven, give me the Seahawks on the road cross
country Brent, Yeah, I.
Speaker 7 (52:07):
Think the Seahawks is the right side here too, John.
I mean, this seven's kind of getting in the big
number area on the road. But the Falcons, you know,
Kirk Cousins hasn't looked great. There's will be a third
game back starting from riding the pine all year. I
think Seattle gets this one done. Twenty seven to seventeen.
Seattle Seahawks Censer.
Speaker 5 (52:25):
I'm going to agree with you.
Speaker 12 (52:26):
Seattle's on a nice run. I think they'll keep it
going in Atlanta.
Speaker 11 (52:30):
Robin same, Seattle's gonna take it.
Speaker 8 (52:32):
Matt Gowins banged up, Drake London, It'll be Seattle all
day long.
Speaker 1 (52:36):
Information for Mett Gowens right there.
Speaker 4 (52:37):
There's always good Ravens six point favorites at home against
the Steelers. It kind of seems like both these teams
are circling the grain together. Which one's gonna be able
to stay I guess above the water level of the drain.
LATEA six is gonna be the Ravens, I guess, simply put,
because they're at home. Really nothing else.
Speaker 7 (52:55):
Yeah, it's gonna be it's gonna be a cold one
up there. I think we're gonna see it. It's gonna
be close to the spread, which that spread me in
six is going to be kind of right there. I
think I'm with you, though, I think Baltimore gets it
done twenty seven to twenty.
Speaker 1 (53:06):
Given the Ravens.
Speaker 12 (53:07):
Spencer, I agree, seems like a boring game, but I
think Baltimore gets it done.
Speaker 8 (53:11):
Robin, same, Matt, I'm going the different direction. It'll be
the Steelers, and.
Speaker 4 (53:15):
You guys are all so quick right here, man one
where I love it though, that's all good. I kind
of want to do my Ravens thing over again. I
don't know if I trust this. I met the Steelers
for a mess, but the Steelers meet the Coles like
three weeks ago.
Speaker 1 (53:28):
That makes me sick. Yeah, you see Rodgers last week.
Speaker 7 (53:30):
He was taking a beating, He got all beat up,
he got his nose all bandaged, games his.
Speaker 8 (53:35):
Stuff left wristed. He added a pretty lockdown slot receiver though,
so they did. They absolutely about that. He's one hundred
and forty two plenny of experience.
Speaker 1 (53:45):
They gave up was they gave up before more? Yeah,
Adam Thiel.
Speaker 4 (53:49):
And then they gave up a former lockdown cornerback who
is on the fence whether or not Darius Slay's going
to play any longer.
Speaker 1 (53:55):
After going to Buffalo, we.
Speaker 7 (53:56):
Get a Steeler that they're going to miss is George Pickens,
who is on the hearing it up.
Speaker 1 (54:01):
Just tearing it up. Why did I not select him
at Fantasy?
Speaker 3 (54:04):
Oh?
Speaker 1 (54:05):
I got him.
Speaker 4 (54:05):
I got him one of my leagues looking well, looking good.
I probably picked a lot of I picked like five quarterbacks.
Speaker 1 (54:11):
What was I doing?
Speaker 4 (54:13):
Titans at brown There is nobody watching this game, seriously,
Titans Browns, Browns four and a half point favorites in Cleveland.
Speaker 1 (54:22):
I have no idea what I'm gonna do.
Speaker 4 (54:23):
I'm gonna flip a coin, lay the four and a half,
give me the Browns because they're at home.
Speaker 7 (54:27):
Britt, Yeah, it's tough to back this Titan team right now.
Seven losses in a row, they're one and eleven. They
just can't get it together. Going into Cleveland, it's gonna
be cold, gonna be loud. You got the shedur factor.
Speaker 1 (54:37):
Going on right now.
Speaker 4 (54:38):
But you do have some battling and suck right there.
We got one team sucks, the other team sucks. Is
like a waging of the War of Suck.
Speaker 7 (54:44):
Yes, but you got one of the best defenses in
the league and the Cleveland Browns and Miles Garrett, he
is a just a beast back there at the sack record. Yeah,
and he just says, you know, he's unstoppable. I think
he's gonna really slow down. I mean that Titan running
game hasn't been anything all year with Pollard.
Speaker 1 (55:00):
I just I can't.
Speaker 7 (55:01):
Ward's still not there for me. I'm taking the Cleveland
Browns twenty four to seventeen.
Speaker 1 (55:05):
Brownies. Spencer Thompson Thompson Furnace, you're here in Columbus, Spence.
Speaker 12 (55:08):
I agree that Cleveland defense Tennessee's not good. Cleveland defense
wins the game for Cleveland.
Speaker 4 (55:14):
Robbins, the owner of the garage, Robin, I'm gonna say
that Tennessee Titans are actually going to pull one out.
Speaker 11 (55:20):
And I'm doing that just because one of my bartenders,
Justin who'll be here in a second, he wears that
jersey every week and I feel so bad for him
and it's one.
Speaker 1 (55:28):
Of the places where we have lived, and it is
one of the I know everywhere in Georgia, but no
place in Tennessee. Just yet.
Speaker 8 (55:38):
All right, Matt, going Tennessee won't be able to run,
They won't be able to pass Cleveland.
Speaker 1 (55:43):
Yeah, covers easy.
Speaker 4 (55:45):
Here's what's word about this, Bears and Packers, right guy?
Six and a half point favorites of Lambeau for the Packers.
That Bears are on the surge, there's no doubt about that.
But every time I go against the Packers, they burn me.
Every time I go with the Packers, they screw me.
Speaker 1 (55:56):
Take the Bears. Am not gonna get burned or screwed
this week. Take the Bears.
Speaker 4 (56:01):
I took the Packers already, so I think I guess
I'll get screwed. I'll go ahead and lay that six
and a half and give me the Packers. I'm ready
to be screwed. Here's what I'll say. This is gonna
be the Bears. I mean they're five wins in a row.
Speaker 1 (56:11):
They look good.
Speaker 7 (56:12):
I mean it's Ben Johnson. I mean he's got that
team under control. Green Bay has looked gat the last
three games. I mean they've been up and down all year.
Kind of in the middle of the season, I think
they've kind of found things. But when it comes to
the Bears, I will tell you this, there is not
a bigger rivalry in sports, in NFL football than the
green Bay Packers in Chicago Bears, I think they're gonna
end up splitting the matchup. So green Bay they play
(56:34):
in green Bay this week, and then in two weeks
they play in Chicago.
Speaker 1 (56:38):
Green Bay goes, they go. Green Bay is gonna cover
this game.
Speaker 7 (56:40):
They're gonna win this game twenty eight to twenty somewhat close,
but it means green Bay covers.
Speaker 1 (56:44):
I'd look for a different story coming to Chicago, though, Spencer.
Speaker 12 (56:47):
Yes, I would. I'm gonna take the Packers. I'm not
buying the Bears.
Speaker 11 (56:50):
Robin Troy's gonna run out here with a knife and
stab me in the back. He's a Bears fan, but
my son is a green Bay Packers. Yes, go back
off to go for the pair.
Speaker 1 (57:00):
He won't talk to me. Oh, I love it. I
love it done. President of Jennings County.
Speaker 8 (57:07):
The opposite, the opposite direction, my friends, right there, you
know I can't go against the Packers. The Bears defense
is band aidd together. But they're still pulling together these wins.
But yeah, I think the Packers cover easily some.
Speaker 1 (57:19):
Bad games this weekend. Two and a half.
Speaker 4 (57:21):
One favorites the Vikings at home against the Commanders. Give
me that two and a half. Give me the Commanders
on the road. Brent, I don't know why other than whatever.
Speaker 7 (57:29):
Well, you got Jayden Daniels supposedly coming back, he's not
officially listed yet as back. You got, you got Terry
the scary terran before and he's back. You looked kind
of good last week. Minnesota has been in shambles. My god,
that was tough to watch that Max Brosmer kid last week.
Speaker 1 (57:45):
Four picks.
Speaker 7 (57:46):
I mean he was throwing them behind his back and
they were just picking them off, running them back. But
we've got little JJ McCarthy back there this week. I'm
gonna go ahead and take the Minnesota Vikings in a
close one. Twenty three to twenty means they cover two
and a half.
Speaker 11 (58:00):
Vikings Spencer Washington on the road, Robin, I'm gonna go
Vikings at.
Speaker 1 (58:04):
Home, going Vikings at home?
Speaker 4 (58:06):
All right, largely abover locks Lunas, will to keep the shots.
Week fourteen Dolphins and the Jets two and a half
point favorites the Dolphins on the road. They still are
listed I think in the AMC playoff pictures in the hunt,
which is weird because they're awful Atlanta two and a half.
Give me on the road the Dolphins. I know the
Jets have won recently, so maybe I'm wrong about this.
And the emergence now of a d Mitchell over one
(58:29):
hundred yards in receiving, the former Colts wide receiver. Two
and a half point favorites on the road, give me
the Lanta two and a half.
Speaker 1 (58:36):
Give me the Dolphins.
Speaker 7 (58:37):
Britt Yeah, I'll tell you what's gonna be cold in
New York. Miami does not do well in the cold.
I think they're gonna go in there. They're gonna struggle.
Speaker 1 (58:44):
The Jets are. The Jets are. They're hot though they've
won a game, you know there, they got a game.
They're sitting at three and nine.
Speaker 2 (58:48):
Now.
Speaker 7 (58:49):
I think the Jets pull this one out. I think
they win the game outright. So you're gonna give me
two and a half points, will take it. Jets win
twenty four to twenty.
Speaker 1 (58:56):
I'm with you. I take the Jets, Robert, I'm gonna
take the Jets too, Yall. It's Dolphins with the weather
just improbable to overcome. So I take the Chests weather
eight and a half point favorites.
Speaker 4 (59:06):
The Buccaneers at home against the Saints, lay the eight
and a half the Buccaneers. It's time to make a
move and a surge. I think the Buccaneers. I'm trying
to do that coming up in the NFC. Brett, Yes, is.
Speaker 7 (59:19):
A big number here. I mean, the Saints are not
a good team, but they've been playing people close. I
just I mean, this number is kind of tough. I'm
gonna personally lay off of it, but for picking purposes,
only give me the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on lay the
eight and a half.
Speaker 1 (59:31):
Spence. Yeah, I like the Bucks too, Robert, that Bucks
are gonna take that. Matt.
Speaker 8 (59:36):
I don't think the Bucks cover the spread. Yeah, I
just can't do it. So the Saints best team in
the AFC.
Speaker 4 (59:43):
That did for Broncos seven and a half point favorites
on the road in Vegas versus the Raiders. You know,
sometimes I don't trust the Broncos. You don't trust bon Nicks.
Nobody really believes in Bonnicks. You believe in the defense,
but not the quarterback. Lay the seven and a half. However,
give me the Broncos because they have been at least
showing the they're the best team in the AFC right now.
Speaker 1 (01:00:01):
Brent, Yeah, either the Broncos. They don't win.
Speaker 7 (01:00:04):
They come from behind a lot and they come back
and win and in very little fashion. But I just
can't get it to myself to go ahead and take
these Raiders, even though that half point scares me. So
I would definitely buy that half point down. Give me
the Denver Broncos twenty seven seventeen, lay the seven and
a half, Fencer Thompson.
Speaker 1 (01:00:21):
It's a big number. Raiders are bad. I think the
Broncos do it robbing the owner. I agree the Broncos going.
Speaker 8 (01:00:27):
I just wonder when Gino's going to realize he has
three great ball catchers. As soon as he realizes that.
I think a great running back, I mean had a
great running back, but yeah, I just I can't see
him overcoming the Broncos.
Speaker 1 (01:00:39):
All the Rams are seven and a half point favors.
Speaker 4 (01:00:41):
There's the best team maybe in the entire NFL right
now on the road in Arizona. You can't see what
Puka and Nakua said about Sauce Garter and joking regarding
you know, the colt nobody wants to be in d
something like that. I think it was kind of a joke.
But everybody gets butt hurt because I do too. I'm
like massively butt hurt about everything he was. I think
people around here have but heard about that. That's not
(01:01:02):
for right now. But the Rams, you know, legit beyond belief,
seven and a half point favorites, laid the seven and
a half on the road against Arizona.
Speaker 7 (01:01:09):
Give me the Rams rent, Yeah, I mean that was
a big tough loss for the Rams last week and
they got beat thirty one to twenty eight by the Panthers.
The hot Panthers a hot by the way. But who
was on a bye this week? Yes, I think the
Rams are gonna rebound right here. They're gonna come back.
I do like them to cover this game. He let
seven and a half again by that half point. Give
me the Rams thirty seventeen.
Speaker 4 (01:01:29):
Spencer Thompson Rams easy, Yeah, Robert Same, Rams easy.
Speaker 1 (01:01:34):
Matt Yep.
Speaker 4 (01:01:35):
The Rams, Bengals and the Bills, you know, normally, because
what the Bills did last week okay, normally because they're
the Bengals.
Speaker 1 (01:01:43):
Okay, but man, Joe Burrow being back, that is a
difference maker.
Speaker 4 (01:01:46):
We saw it against the Ravens last week. Give me
that five and a half. The Bills are five and
a half point favorites at home. Give me the five
and a half. Give me the Bengals on the road.
Speaker 7 (01:01:55):
Yeah, I hated Burrow back. I mean they've won, got
a standing chance, right, I mean, they've got a lot
of work to do, a lot of help.
Speaker 1 (01:02:00):
But I want to be jacking around with that if
I were the Bills in that situation, right.
Speaker 7 (01:02:04):
I know we always talk about the Bills, don't They're
not a big covering team, but you know, they've looked
pretty rough. They did look good last week against Pittsburgh.
I think I think the Bills win this game. I
don't think they cover it, though. Give me the Cincinnati
Bengals plus five and a half on the road, Bencer.
Speaker 5 (01:02:19):
I think the Bills cover at home.
Speaker 11 (01:02:21):
Robin, I think the Cincinnati Bengals are going to take
this one.
Speaker 8 (01:02:26):
The boldest pick here, Bengals outright, outright, outright.
Speaker 4 (01:02:30):
I think you guys all kind of agree with me.
I think a little bit here. Oh yeah, I like
it in agreement. The Chiefs three and a half point
favorites at home against the Texans. Here's the problem I
want to have with this. The Chiefs aren't the same
Chiefs as you know. The Chiefs to be offensively and
the Texans are stout defensively.
Speaker 1 (01:02:48):
They know who they are.
Speaker 4 (01:02:50):
I'm going to take that three and a half and
give me the Texans on the road because the Texans
not only a problem coming up in this matchup in case,
but a significant issue still for anybody with the AFC South,
especially Brent, the Indianapolis Colts.
Speaker 7 (01:03:03):
What say you absolutely? And you know Houston, they're four
wins in a row. I mean they their defense is legit,
the number one on that NFL. It's gonna they're gonna
give a They're gonna give my homes and crew a
tough time in Arrowhead. But I mean, again, at three
and a half, I hate the hook on this one,
but I think the Chiefs are gonna get right here.
I think it's gonna be loud and proud in the
toilet bowl of Arrowhead as we call it. John, I
(01:03:25):
hate that. Give me the Kansas City Chiefs twenty three
seventeen cover the three and a half.
Speaker 1 (01:03:29):
Spencer.
Speaker 5 (01:03:30):
I agree, we need Houston to lose this one.
Speaker 1 (01:03:32):
So Chiefs, Robin, Chiefs are gonna take this one.
Speaker 8 (01:03:35):
What do you got over there, Matt, I'm a diehard
Colts fan. I'm picking them both to lose. But the
Texas their defense Cowboys, I think they're gonna cost too much.
Speaker 1 (01:03:45):
Have you?
Speaker 4 (01:03:46):
Evidently Robin and I were having a conversation a little
bit earlier, and Robin evidently is an Eagles.
Speaker 5 (01:03:51):
I'm a huge Eagles fan.
Speaker 1 (01:03:53):
That's very important.
Speaker 4 (01:03:54):
Favorites at the Charges, the Charges on the road you
can't trust and sometimes you just can't trust them in general.
Three point favorites are the Eagles. I'm gonna go ahead.
The Eagles haven't shown signs. They're really disappointing signs lay
the three and giving me the Eagles though, because I
would believe in them more than I would the Charges.
Speaker 7 (01:04:12):
Brent, what's the yeah? You know with Herbert, we still
need to know what he's going to be doing. He
just had surgery. I think that's going to be a
hindrance for him. Philly who there are two two losses
in a row. They're needed to kind of get right.
I think they're going to come in and get right
on this game here in LA. Not a lot of
home team pridor over there in Los Angeles. So give
me the Philly. Give me the Eagles, lay the three,
(01:04:33):
twenty four to seventeen.
Speaker 1 (01:04:34):
Becher Thompson Eagles, Robin, I'm about.
Speaker 11 (01:04:38):
All y'all drink. It's gonna be the Eagles passing game.
Speaker 1 (01:04:41):
Buy me a drink. I will love the Eagles. I'll
love you forever if you buy me a drink.
Speaker 8 (01:04:46):
This is the Eagles only because the Chargers, I believe
historically have the worst offensive line in the NFL.
Speaker 7 (01:04:51):
Well, they're missing a couple of big tackles. That that's
just a huge thing. That's why Herbert's getting surge when
Sirianni struggles. I do like that, though, I don't mind that.
I'm sorry, Robit. Now there goes my drink.
Speaker 1 (01:05:04):
You're a drink down. I should I still love it.
Let me rephrase, I think I love it all right, guys.
Colts and the Jaguars.
Speaker 4 (01:05:12):
This comes from an angle of I don't want to
have to yip yep five days next week about a
Colts team going down and losing yet again in Jacksonville.
They haven't won there since twenty fourteen. They haven't won
a division in the South since twenty fourteen. They did
not look good against the Texans last week. They are
on a slide. Their quarterback has a dang stick. Their
(01:05:35):
offensive line has been downplaying everything they're all. The defensive
line hasn't played well. There are a lot of issues
right there, But there are some situations during a season.
If you're going to be good, you have to overcome.
And I still expect these guys to be good.
Speaker 1 (01:05:54):
All right.
Speaker 4 (01:05:54):
You start seven and one, you're eight and four right now,
you resurrect this season in Jacksonville. As of right now,
the Jaguars actually are getting points, are getting a point
and a half.
Speaker 1 (01:06:07):
The Colts are the favorites on the road.
Speaker 4 (01:06:10):
I think, Brent, the Colts will win by the final
of twenty one to nineteen. I just didn't want to
have to deal with the aftermath of this. I don't
trust it a great deal. But if they don't get
back on it this weekend, this thing is going to
fade into one of the more embarrassing situations we have seen,
and certainly disappointing.
Speaker 1 (01:06:31):
So you got to do it.
Speaker 4 (01:06:33):
I think the Colts will do it on Sunday. What
say you, ah, Man, I hope you're right. I hope
they do do it.
Speaker 7 (01:06:40):
But I'm going to go with a little bit of
history here and the way they perform against the Jacksonville Jaguars.
You got two eight and four teams like you mentioned here,
one's going the wrong way wherever it's going the right way.
Colts off two consecutive losses, Jaguars with three consecutive wins,
playing in Jacksonville, Dale Jones with a broken stick, as
you will call it. I don't think. I just I
(01:07:01):
don't see that happen. I think the Jaguars win the
game twenty seven to twenty four. Unfortunately, give me the
Jags plus one and a half.
Speaker 1 (01:07:07):
I can understand it's, Spencer, this.
Speaker 12 (01:07:10):
Is a big game for the Colts. We got to
get back on win, must win, Colts on the road,
finish the season strong.
Speaker 4 (01:07:18):
All right, let's flex on that together, Spencer. What do
you got, Robin? I gave some love to your eagles, Remember.
Speaker 11 (01:07:25):
You did give some love to my eagles. You know,
I really want the Colts to win, but they have
not shown well. I really think that Jaguars might take
this one. I'm sorry, all.
Speaker 1 (01:07:34):
Right, goings. I love my Colts.
Speaker 8 (01:07:36):
Three weeks ago, before the Chiefs game, I said, the
easiest game we have left is the forty nine ers,
and I truly believe that still to this day, I
have to I have to go with the Jaguars.
Speaker 1 (01:07:48):
Yeah, yeah, yeah, I.
Speaker 8 (01:07:51):
Know.
Speaker 4 (01:07:51):
I listen and those are the large dy Bourbon logs
Lunazil Takeila shots week number fourteen in the garage and Columbus.
Speaker 1 (01:07:58):
That's just kind of where we are right now.
Speaker 4 (01:08:00):
And it's unfortunate because a month ago I think it
would be a four gone conclusion, but there are so
many questions that developed injury wise, and then certainly I
just think execution speaking Brent, kind of where we are
with everything right now. Yeah, it's a big week too.
Speaker 7 (01:08:13):
I mean, this is this is kind of you know,
week fourteen already, we've got we we got what five
four or five weeks of football left before we're talking
to playoffs. A lot of good games. They'll start tonight though,
I think got games Tonight's gonna be good to watch.
Dallas Cowboys Detroit Lions to kick off the week. And uh,
and then again you got the Bears, Packers, Colts, Jaggs, Houston,
Kansas City, Philly, LA. I think those are your top
(01:08:35):
five games of the week, and uh, we're gonna be
in for one.
Speaker 4 (01:08:37):
Laste brother Locks Lunas will have to give a shot, Spencer.
You want to hang a little bit, Yeah, Robbie, gonna
hang a little bit. Match, You're going to hang a
little bit. The garage, downtown Columbus. That's where we are today.

gave away stuff a little bit earlier.
Speaker 1 (01:09:55):
Well done. Do you get gifts like this everywhere you go?
Speaker 4 (01:09:58):
Well? I this and this is Spencer Thompson of Thompson
Furniture gave me a Sycamore's jetty right here.
Speaker 1 (01:10:06):
Heisman does. That's incredible.
Speaker 4 (01:10:09):
Well, and Spencer is here from Thompson Furniture in Columbus.
Speaker 1 (01:10:14):
You want to give away some of these high Yeah, no,
I'll let you give them away.
Speaker 4 (01:10:17):
Man, I don't know yet. We can do one in here.
I'd like to do one with somebody that may be
listing that can get motivated to come in here. But
let's give away the Heisman Doza yetties.
Speaker 1 (01:10:28):
This is well. Did you do this on your own?
Speaker 4 (01:10:30):
Yeah?
Speaker 5 (01:10:31):
I did?
Speaker 1 (01:10:31):
Nice man.
Speaker 4 (01:10:33):
We've got Indiana, Ohio State coming up on Saturday Night
of course, and Heisman Doza Yetti pharmacis well we have
right here.
Speaker 1 (01:10:42):
Those are great. Do you have one of those? No,
I'm gonna steal one. Yeah, I'll go ahead. That's oh yeah.
Donation to your favorite donation.
Speaker 4 (01:10:47):
For your favorite cause right there. And the owner of
the garage is Robin. Are you having a good time
with us today?
Speaker 1 (01:10:53):
I'm having a great time. I'm glad that you are.
We are.
Speaker 4 (01:10:56):
It's fantastic to be here. And you've been an owner
again the garage.
Speaker 1 (01:11:00):
For how long? Oh, we bought it at the end
of August.
Speaker 7 (01:11:03):
That's incredible, right, So, first time in the restaurant hospitality
field outside of the circle K world.
Speaker 1 (01:11:09):
Huh yeah, what's your what's your first couple of months?
Speaker 7 (01:11:11):
I know that's pretty much a drink through the fire
hose quickly, But looks like you guys got things dialed in.
Speaker 1 (01:11:17):
Yeah.
Speaker 11 (01:11:17):
I have a great staff read that's what it's all about.
In it all they I think they drink from a
fire hose faster than I did. That We were changing
real fast. I think the hardest thing was keeping it open,
keeping everybody paid, and adding all the av all the TVs.
Speaker 1 (01:11:32):
It looks sports beautiful.
Speaker 11 (01:11:34):
Yes, family, So sports is a huge part of our
life and we have to have it still. Do the
night life at night, have a great band this weekend,
karaoke tonight while you're at the game, and oh take
a night.
Speaker 1 (01:11:47):
Yeah, what time's karaoke? Star?
Speaker 4 (01:11:48):
Right?
Speaker 1 (01:11:49):
You want me to do The Devil went down to
Georgia for everybody on here. I'm good at that. Are
you kind of like the spoken word? Yeah?
Speaker 11 (01:11:54):
Okay, I'm tone deaf, so I think you should.
Speaker 4 (01:11:58):
What's the spoken word? It can be that hard, right,
come on, but no, excers, I can. I can do
The Devil went down to Georgia. We should mention this too.
We did not do a pick for the Big Ten
title game. Oh maybe we should go around the table
a pick for the Big Ten Title game and see
how we're feeling. Hey, thanks for coming out, man, I
appreciate that. Yep, good to see you. All right, So
(01:12:22):
what do you want to start?
Speaker 1 (01:12:22):
IU? Ohio State?
Speaker 7 (01:12:24):
Well, I'll tell you what I mean. So I think
I was getting ready to look to make sure. But
so the spread opened up Ohio State five and a half.
Money's coming in on the Hoosiers there. Last I checked,
they were a four point underdogs Ohio State for everyby four.
Let's get a little verification on this real quick. But
I am going to take those Indiana Hoosiers. I think
they are They're just on a fast track and what
they've been doing. And I think it all comes down
(01:12:45):
to coach Signetty, like we talked earlier, what he has
done with not only the offensive output they've had, because
it is going to be a defensive battle. Both these
defenses are very tough and talented. But I think I
was gonna actually get this one pulled out. Did this
four points? Give me the Indiana Hoosiers plus, I'm going
to call for an outright w my man, Hoosiers twenty eight,
(01:13:05):
well twenty.
Speaker 4 (01:13:06):
And we know you're mister Iu over there. Actually, I
think we got some of me. A couple of minutes.
You guys may battle it out for mister Iu. You
and Spencer Thompson right here, we'll start with Matt Goin's
the Triple A president right here, mister Iu.
Speaker 8 (01:13:17):
I'm gonna go back to what Signette said after the
last Ohio State game.
Speaker 1 (01:13:20):
I needed to go get some dogs, and I did.
Let go.
Speaker 4 (01:13:23):
That's right, That's that's That's one of the things we
were talking about a little bit earlier with Chad Brown,
is how you learn from what happened in Columbus and
then you go out and try to put together a group.
I think.
Speaker 8 (01:13:34):
I think we're fast. We're fast on defense. I'm not
saying we're gonna shut down their receivers. Smith I don't
know his name, pay no attention to the Ohio State buckets.
But I don't know that we'll get pressure on their quarterback.
But I think we'll prove who the Heisman Trophy winner
is after this game.
Speaker 7 (01:13:52):
I think it comes down to that, right, and you
got the battle the top two that are going after
who's going to handle the pressure?
Speaker 8 (01:13:56):
That's it, absolutely right, and I think that we just
have an absolute stuff. I mean, it's just going to
be a great game.
Speaker 4 (01:14:03):
I mentioned this a little bit earlier too, Spencer, that
we were talking to Chad Brown about, you know, all
of the experience, and not necessarily with the IU football program,
but just college football experience in general seems to really
come into a really good time when you're in a
game like that, and I U's got a ton of
(01:14:24):
college football experience, to say the least, going into Saturday
night against Oho State.
Speaker 12 (01:14:31):
It's just an exciting time to be an IU fan.
Speaker 1 (01:14:33):
Yes, and that really really is.
Speaker 12 (01:14:36):
Getting this area fans myself excited, and I hope this
is off the point, but I hope it translates to
basketball because you know, I think the football drives moves
the needle for so much. And what Signetti's done in
Bloomington college football to do it this quickly, you know,
last year might have been a fluke.
Speaker 5 (01:14:56):
This year it's wow. But I think this game for
me is is it real? And I think plain Ohio State.
Speaker 1 (01:15:03):
I wanted Ohio State.
Speaker 12 (01:15:05):
This week just before it really matters to see if
this team is for real.
Speaker 5 (01:15:10):
I think they are. The speed that they have on
defense is on incredible. Mendoza.
Speaker 12 (01:15:17):
He's been a little rocky in my opinion the last
game or so, just a few, but he's such a
good guy, he's so calm. We got talented wide receiver,
our running game is incredible. I think I'm not looking
at numbers, spread or anything like that, but it's hard
to bet against IU here for me, whether a fan
(01:15:37):
or not. Maybe it's just I love him that much,
but this is going to be a big win for
IU to go into the playoffs and prove what they
really can do.
Speaker 1 (01:15:46):
I think the dome helps Mendoza.
Speaker 8 (01:15:49):
You know, you could tell the cold weather impacted a
Mentota Purdue, you know, the week before. But with the dome,
it's going to be fast, it's going to be free,
and I just think that our receivers are going to
get open and we have that three headed rushing attack
and Ohio State's gonna They're gonna be put on the
hills pretty clearly.
Speaker 4 (01:16:05):
We mentioned Kurt Signetti trying to match up exactly what
Ohio State did to them a year ago in November
in Columbus, and Ohio State still brings a level of physicality,
certainly on both sides of the football. One would be
Kayden Curry, who is a guy that kind of waited
his turn over to Ohio State to start on that
(01:16:26):
defensive line. The former Sinegrove projan who has had a
big season as a senior this year in Columbus. That
is a guy to watch out for now. I highlight
him because he's from Sinegrove. I also highlight him because
he is a fantastic player and it's moments like that
for guys like that that you think about could be
(01:16:49):
a difference here there. If you're talking, I guess fellas
about a one score game, which obviously who's your fan,
you hope you win by more, But at the very
least you want to make sure this thing is tight
and competitive. And it's guys like that that sometimes can
make the difference in it.
Speaker 8 (01:17:05):
Absolutely, you know, I look at it like this, If
the college football Playoff Committee could listen to one thing
and it's whoever the loser is, they shouldn't get out
of the top four. They should still receive the first
round by And I just don't know if that's going
to be because it's you know, it's made for TV
a little.
Speaker 1 (01:17:21):
Bit well, and we talk about this all the time.
Speaker 4 (01:17:23):
I mean, this is going to prove they're going to
have to come up with a different way to measure
teams because this thing kind of is screwed. It's going
to screw somebody. Yeah, I mean, it really will screw
somebody that maybe you wouldn't want to be screwed in
this capacity. So there's going to have to be a
different measure to be taken here in the future. It's
just not right now. You can look at it this way.
I'm Ohio State's kind of been there and done that.
(01:17:44):
I mean they've worked all the way basically from a
wild card to win it all.
Speaker 1 (01:17:48):
Speaker 4 (01:17:49):
But you know they have been there and done that.
With this IU, this is all new and you're going
to have an interesting crowd. Ohio State travels well, but man,
I you is going to pack that place. There's a
reason brent onle that tickets. It's a high level there
really is.
Speaker 7 (01:18:03):
I mean, and you look at you know last week
with Ohio State going in Michigan, that's the monkey off
their back. That was kind of their big thing to
go in and winning the big House.
Speaker 1 (01:18:11):
I don't know that.
Speaker 7 (01:18:12):
You know it's twenty seven to nine. They really owned
that game. And Brian Day that was his kind of
big thing that almost got him out last year. Right,
But they're tough team. And how this couldn't set up
better for uh for football, not only for the Hoosiers
with two twelve to zero teams going at it in
the Big Ten Championship to decide the Big Ten winner
to move on to see who that number one seed is.
Speaker 1 (01:18:33):
I mean, this is a pretty pretty exciting time in
Indy in.
Speaker 7 (01:18:36):
Indy and into your home right force Capital the world
really is really, it's just I got chills right now
because it's gonna be one of those weekends right now.
Speaker 4 (01:18:45):
And then I you and Ohio State and football Big
Ten Title game. Could not ask for more than a

Speaker 7 (01:20:27):
That sauce Robin, Wow, Robin, both are outstanding, but I've
never had those.
Speaker 1 (01:20:34):
That's well. I love the South coming to Us.
Speaker 4 (01:20:36):
I wish you'd brings some of that weather back, but man,

pretty good. I know you're won your cottage cheese and all.
But I will tell you what that is.
Speaker 1 (01:20:56):
I love this. I've never had anything like that. I've
said this before and then this is no. But yes here.
I love Columbus.
Speaker 4 (01:21:02):
I do.
Speaker 1 (01:21:02):
I do too.
Speaker 4 (01:21:03):
I love I love little Kevin Johnson reference going on
around here too. I love the fact that is this
the is the dairy queen down the way where Tony
Stewart where he got sponsored, like to get started back then.
Is that it too, I would imagine all the stories
around Yeah, that's what I thought right down the way.
I love all the stories in and around Columbus. I
just think it is a great hoo's your community. It
(01:21:24):
really is, and and really it may not be like
it once was in terms of what we remember, but
a lot of it still is. And I've got a
great deal of affinity for this.
Speaker 1 (01:21:34):
I do too.
Speaker 7 (01:21:34):
And And you know what's cool, Like this area right
here that the garage is on the fourth Street area
is just look at it, right you got you've got
a street festival going on now, the silent night or
not so silent night Christmas thing cool right Like that's
just good small town vibes and small town vibey growing
up in Seymour, we came up here a lot, and uh,
you know, we had a lot of Columbus people come
(01:21:55):
to Seamore.
Speaker 1 (01:21:56):
John, we were really every Friday and Saturday night.
Speaker 4 (01:21:58):
Did you come up here to try to get their
chicks or did they come down there to try to
get your chicks.
Speaker 7 (01:22:02):
I was too busy studying, so I was really focused
on getting my my academics in line.
Speaker 4 (01:22:09):
I always tried to go, like my nearest community was Bloomfield,
and I always tried to go down there to get chicks.
Speaker 1 (01:22:14):
And I just got my ass weft all the time.
Thank you, dear Old.
Speaker 4 (01:22:23):
And look at this, Robin. Just look at that cottage
cheese made his day. Robin right here didn't make my day.
The way to show you guys the Triple A membership
lounge via YouTube live right there, he's the cottage cheese
from from Robin. So, yeah, I didn't have much luck
back in the day. But this we're going to come
(01:22:43):
back here again. This is absolutely this is awesome.
Speaker 1 (01:22:45):
You know it's cool.
Speaker 7 (01:22:45):
We were just talking to these gentlemen over here, Uh,
just getting out right, Like I was talking about our
first year we were in the studio for half the
year and like this sucks.
Speaker 1 (01:22:53):
I want to get out, right like.
Speaker 7 (01:22:55):
And now we're getting out and we're getting to great
places like you know, Bloomington, Columbus. You know, hey, we
might even find ourselves in Seymour maybe sometime soon, I
don't know. We'll do a little work down there.
Speaker 4 (01:23:04):
We could do that too. I listen, and I love
going to places where they really enjoy it. That's what
it's all of. This is one too, and that's what
you know.
Speaker 7 (01:23:12):
We talk all the time, John, right like, we're fortunate
because we are able to come out and have a
lot of fun, have some great cocktails from Heaven Hill
and enjoy and be able to talk to a lot
of people. And I'll tell you about you've got a great,
great fan base out there, my friend. You've done over
the other great people that we're fortunate to have. So
getting out here, you know, we we do. We get
(01:23:32):
a lot of the new people that are able to
come out, which is awesome.
Speaker 4 (01:23:35):
New places like the garage and Columbus today tomorrow on
mass Ave at Tiebreakers, that's new, that is new. I
believe the guy what's the guy's name that owns the
whistle stop? Yes, as the owner of the time Breaker. Absolutely,
that's so we're going to be a tie Breakers on
mass Ave with bud Light Blue Friday tomorrow.
Speaker 1 (01:23:51):
Did you know that coming up?
Speaker 4 (01:23:53):
Steve Berg has said I want you at the Blind
now and we're going to go to the Blind ow
on bid for boulevards.
Speaker 1 (01:24:00):
So yeah, lot's exciting. So you're at.
Speaker 7 (01:24:03):
Timeout or Tiebreakers tomorrow right brand new place and Rob
who wins whistles Stop.
Speaker 1 (01:24:07):
Great guy. Rob's a great guy.
Speaker 7 (01:24:08):
He is what he's done at the whistle Stop with
you know, that's a we talked tavern Tours that we
do right monthly. You know we did a taverntour show
there years ago. I'm anxious. I'd love to see, you know,
love to hopefully get a show at Tiebreakers into we'll
do that again. Being able to get out here and
to uh in Southern Indiana, Columbus Indiana Roge Puppacgrill outstanding.
Speaker 4 (01:24:27):
If you guys want us here, just let us know when.
I'll reach out and Brandon Nicole can do something about
it and we'll see if we can get the wheels
of motion at some point and get something done.
Speaker 1 (01:24:35):
Britton, I return on the other side too.
Speaker 4 (01:24:37):
I know Matt's going to be back as well, so
will Spencer and Robin at the Garage downtown Columbus. When
Shulers brings you the spreadability, the great snacking on a
great Thursday night with football a nice game too, Cowboys
and Lions. You're talking when Shuler's snack ability. You can
find that at your favorite minor location in the state
(01:24:59):
of Indiana. Might chapel the latest on Daniel Jones, a
new kicker and a must win in Jacksonville coming up
on Sunday. That is next the Garage and Columbus. We
are live on this Thursday with ninety three, five and
one oh seven five.
Speaker 6 (01:25:11):
The Fan, The Ride with JMV.
Speaker 1 (01:25:16):
This will be the high point of my day. Gets
all downhill.
Speaker 6 (01:25:20):
From ninety three to five and one oh seven five
the Fan.
Speaker 4 (01:25:25):
That reference, by the way, is American beauty is when
you lose one down the shower drain.
Speaker 1 (01:25:30):
You know, I think when you say American Beauty though.
Speaker 7 (01:25:34):
Grateful Dead album one of the best Grateful Dead albums
at all time.
Speaker 1 (01:25:37):
I love this one.
Speaker 4 (01:25:38):
Bad motor Finger James is playing. You listened to Bad
motor Finger down Seymour back in the day. You know
I did a little bit. Yeah, I love sound Guard,
just dash the garage, Brent Halverson with large Indy bourbon
locks and Luna's old tequila shots.
Speaker 1 (01:25:55):
One four Street and Columbus today, aren't we?
Speaker 3 (01:25:57):
We are?
Speaker 7 (01:25:57):
And it's outstanding me down and this is fun right
like get I mean, you know we've been uh en fortunate.
Speaker 1 (01:26:02):
We were blow me to a couple of weeks ago.
We're always around the Indy area.
Speaker 7 (01:26:05):
But to get down here the south side, if you will,
down in Columbus, it's great. And again I think we're
gonna try to work something in down a little further
twenty miles south of here in Seymour.
Speaker 1 (01:26:14):
Maybe soon too.
Speaker 4 (01:26:15):
Well, I'm telling you some I may get out here
with if karaoke's happening, you may hear Devil went down
to Georgia a.
Speaker 1 (01:26:21):
Little bit later on here.
Speaker 7 (01:26:22):
I'm going to be here in a little old Crow
medicine show later, John want me to play either, we'll
look at you.
Speaker 1 (01:26:27):
I might come back after the show. And what you saying.
Speaker 4 (01:26:30):
So somebody told me yesterday Mike Chapel is gonna come
up in just a second, So Mike, sit tight. But
somebody actually sent me a message through one, seven, two, nine,
ten seventy on the text line that Blake Groupie, the
new kicker.
Speaker 1 (01:26:45):
For the Colts, his uncle is an owner of the Bulldog.
That's right, And Dave Perdom just gave us a little
uh shot here that mentions that as well. That pretty well,
so was Dave his uncle?
Speaker 4 (01:26:57):
No, no, no's who's the uncle of uh one of
the other guys of the Bulldog. Okay, yeah, somebody told
me that yesterday. I was trying to verify that and
I gave a shout out to Dave to see if
that was true. But uh, you know, we were kind
of joking around about how nugget of a human being
that Groupie is five to seven and one fifty he's
(01:27:18):
that's a nugget.
Speaker 1 (01:27:19):
That's a nuggative, a fella with a.
Speaker 4 (01:27:20):
Strong leg, hopefully hopefully strong and accurate, which is necessary.
Speaker 1 (01:27:25):
That is absolutely necessary. You're absolutely right.
Speaker 4 (01:27:27):
So whoever brought that up to me yesterday, that is
absolutely true.
Speaker 1 (01:27:31):
Britt and I are hanging with you.
Speaker 4 (01:27:32):
On the Andy More Automotive Group potline from CBS four
and Fox fifty nine.
Speaker 1 (01:27:37):
It is Mike Chapel. Hello, Mike, how you doing so? Uh?
Blake Groupie has an uncle that owns the bulldog in
broader Ble. Did you know this? I did, I didn't
know that. Breaking news, breaking news.
Speaker 4 (01:27:53):
Hey, did they get to a point this week where you,
after that miss pat the third of the season, that
something had to be done? Yeah? They did.
Speaker 2 (01:28:01):
And and you know, we can argue. I know KB
Kevin Bowenes been on this and uh, he's been founding
that they needed to change, and I understand, I understand. Uh.
And what I mentioned to those special teams going Brian
Mason is is what you had the way is you
wanted better than a guy that's missed three phs, which
(01:28:26):
the most in the league this year's four, Harrison Bucker
and somebody else Eddie Periniro maybe he's missed four, but
but he but badually was ten for eleven on field
goals and the one missiles the fifty three yard or so.
So you're you're you're really old. You're concerned with the
reliability on p eights, which are one point, but you're
(01:28:49):
getting three points. So it's a difficult, you know, balance
to kind of deal with. But it was clear they
had lost they had lost trust. I'm not sure how
much they trusted badually anyway, I think it was lukewarm.
It wasn't what it wasn't though, trust I had in
Spencer Strader at all. Uh So they yeah, they decided
(01:29:11):
they had to make a move. But the problem is
when when when you start making kicking moves in December,
you're just you're just hoping, You're just hoping. I mean
guys that are out there are guys who have been
cut by their teams. So and in Lake Rupy he's
I don't think he's a pat this year. He's missed
(01:29:32):
eight field goals, you like, eighteen for twenty four or
you know, was it eighteen to twenty six on field goals?
So you know, if he hits all his the eighteens
and he misses a couple of big field goals, what
have you done? It's not ideal at all. I just
hope this doesn't come back to bout him in the
butt in a game that they have to win and
(01:29:54):
they need a thirty seven yard field goal and a
guy that's missed a couple of thirty seven yard field
goals doesn't come through.
Speaker 4 (01:30:00):
For you, Mike, Is this a game on Sunday where
we see a resurrection or a continued fade. I can
view it both ways. It kind of seems like there's
more of now a lean for this team fading out
of the picture.
Speaker 2 (01:30:18):
You know, I always go back to when my senior
year at ball State, I took debate and the teacher
would get the prof would give you an issue. You've
got to argue this, whether you whether you knew about
it or believes or whatever. If I had to stand
out in front of the class and argue why the
Colts will come out of this, whatever it is, a
(01:30:39):
mini slump or whatever, I don't know what I would say.
I don't know where my confidence would be that they're
going to come out of this. They're not. The thing is,
they're not playing awful. They're not just playing god off
of football. They're doing just enough to lose, which which
is the same thing. I guess if you're not. I mean,
(01:31:01):
it's just the extremes you're talking about. So I don't
know of all the places that I would go to
to try to break out of a slump, it's either
Jacksonville or Pittsburgh. And we saw what Pittsburgh did. Yeah,
So I don't know. I hope that I hope they
(01:31:21):
come out of this. They've done too much up to
this point, up to the eight and eight and two,
seven and one. They did too much good this year
to have it just go away. So I'm hoping they
find a way that it's got to be the offense.
The office has got to get itself back together to
(01:31:41):
some degree. You know, the last four contrast is incredible
on the lack of efficiency on third dan and they're
averaging about I don't know, twelve points fewer then the
seven to one starts. So it's got to be on offense.
It's got to be with Jonathan Taylor and you're one
against probably the best run defense in the league, and
(01:32:03):
you've got to get more from Daniel Jones, who's gonna
play with the fracture of fibula. Yeah, probably the rest
of the season.
Speaker 4 (01:32:11):
Yeah. Mike Chapel of CBS Foar and Fox fifty nine
on the Andy Moore out of Motive grouphih line the garage.
We're in Columbus downtown, large cite bourbon locks. Loners will
have to keep the shots. I took issue with, obviously
the offensive line play for their injured quarterback and the
play calling for their injured quarterback.
Speaker 1 (01:32:29):
I've had an.
Speaker 4 (01:32:29):
Issue with it because it kind of seems like that
Shane Steiken will call plays for the Daniel Jones we
saw in September, not the crack stick and the fibula
that he's dealing with right now in December.
Speaker 2 (01:32:40):
What say you, Mike, Well, the offensive line and I
correct myself to the pass protection has got to be
better in net to start to the offensive line where
the edges had to be better and the interior tanner
BORDERLINI has had some bad plays the last couple of
weeks which he hadn't really had early, and your your
(01:33:02):
face and the team that's got good edge passed rushes
again most teams do. So yeah, it's on play calling.
I don't know. I like against Houston the first series
they go three and out, Well, Josh downs dropped the
drop the third down pass. That's not a bad play call,
it's it's bad execution. So I I I sort of
(01:33:28):
hesitate to be too critical of stiking because you got
to call plays and it's up to the players to execute,
which means picking up a blitz was means keep keeping
will Anderson from bull rushing up the middle. Uh, maybe
you need to get quicker and getting rid of the ball,
which means getting more more cut you know, Tyler Warren
(01:33:50):
and Josh Downs. Josh Downs has not been as effective
this year recently than they than he has been the
first few years. So whenever things aren't going well, it's
well do something different. Well what they They don't need
to do something different, they need to do something better
because for the first eight to ten games they were
doing more more than well enough. They were playing pretty
(01:34:13):
dark on well. And now it's just like there's it's
I think we've talked it's like a whack them hole.
You're trying to you smack the the the groundhog or
whatever it is. And then another one pops up, and
then another one pops up, and another one pops up.
So yeah, this is we've talked about must wins and
all that, and you're you're you're high on that. This
(01:34:35):
is damn close to a must win. I think I
have a great concern I have great concerns of them
making the playoffs if they lose on Sunday.
Speaker 4 (01:34:46):
I just do I just I think at eight and
five within the division and the way that they are
right now that you're looking at a a dead man
walking type of team.
Speaker 1 (01:34:57):
If they lose on Sunday, the problem.
Speaker 2 (01:34:59):
The problem is and again the analytics you do these
playoff simulators, and I don't want to say, Paul, what
they need to do is win three of their last
five games, and it really doesn't matter too much which
three they are. If you win your three division games,
you win the division. I really think if they win
any three of their last five games, they get in
(01:35:22):
on a wild card at eleven and six. I really
think that happens. But you lose this one and then
you go to Seattle and then your home Monday night
against Frisco, and then you've got Jackson my home, which
is you'll probably win, and then do you really want
to go to Houston with a win or in scenario?
(01:35:43):
So that's why you know this past tiny was so
huge because you probably could have put the Texans away
that might have been their last, really hope. But now
there's so much on this and against the team that
I think they've had eight different starting quarterbacks lose the
Colts during this strategy, just ten game stretch, which includes London.
(01:36:11):
It's whatever reason, whatever reason, they don't play well down there.
Speaker 1 (01:36:14):
They don't do enough they don't.
Speaker 2 (01:36:16):
Make play that needs to change Sunday or or you know,
things could really really spiral out of control. And I
really hope that doesn't happen.
Speaker 4 (01:36:27):
Hey, Mike, before I'll let you go, I don't really
want to do this, but I'll ask them what was
I have you here anyway? Because people have brought this
up and talking about if they do fade and what
happens in the aftermath and it's a rebuild of this
and get a new quarterback.
Speaker 1 (01:36:44):
I mean really, player wise, they're kind of stuck where
they are with this group.
Speaker 4 (01:36:49):
You can make I think changes in front office coaching
if you want to, But player wise, I mean, I
don't know, not this rebuild.
Speaker 1 (01:36:57):
I think you're kind of stuck with what you have
for the time being.
Speaker 2 (01:36:59):
Or uh, well, if you if you go to the
scorched car, then you'd have to target you'd have to
identify your core players. And I'm not sure who a
new regime would consider your core players.
Speaker 1 (01:37:17):
I really don't.
Speaker 2 (01:37:19):
And I think most of these contracts, most of them
you can get out of, uh Sauce Gardner probably not,
Mooney war probably not buying them, probably not right away.
Everybody else I mean, Pittman's got another year that I
don't think is guaranteed. Jonathan Taylor, I I'm not sure
(01:37:41):
who you would consider untouchable if a new group came
in here, And because if you're making those changes, it's
not gonna be They're not gonna tweak You're not going
to tweak the roster. And so I that's why, you know, selfishly,
because I don't want to see this happen and I
don't want to have to report on it and chase it.
(01:38:05):
I think changes would be massive, top to bottom. I
don't know how you just can't replace fifty three players.
You know that's ridiculous. But you know, starting at the
top of Daniel Jones, if he's part of the reason
you couldn't get finish it, Yeah, he's got to fracture.
Maybe I understand it. It's just so many different variables
(01:38:28):
that will go into where this team goes. It's a
whole program for you talking and you, me and Rick
vent Turk can get together and rap about it. But
it won't be pleasant and it won't be easy. If
that's what they end.
Speaker 1 (01:38:44):
Up doing, Yeah, that won't be good. Won't be good
at all.
Speaker 4 (01:38:48):
Mike Chapel of CBS four Fox with you don catch
his work obviously there and then yeah coming up and
well I think we all agree now with a must
win situation in Jacksonville on Sunday, without question for the Colts.
Speaker 1 (01:39:02):
Mike, I appreciate you as always, man, Thank you be
well this week.
Speaker 4 (01:39:08):
I have a great day. Mike Chapel of CBS four

Columbus North, well done.
Speaker 4 (01:39:34):
The Bulldogs are Columbus North where Kevin Johnson kJ was
the star Columbus North High School back in the day,
back in the day.

Speaker 4 (01:39:58):
Now, Corey Hall is a listened to the show Matt
and he said, ask the Triple A pres about family
memberships here. So I thought, felt compel, that should ask
you about family memberships.
Speaker 8 (01:40:11):
Yeah, I think right now we could do gift memberships
for fifty dollars and then some associates are free. So
I mean we can do a family membership fairly inexpensive.
Triple a dot com.
Speaker 4 (01:40:21):
Best way to do it, Coreyhall, Triple a dot com
and check that out.
Speaker 1 (01:40:27):
Double buck with me and let me know what you
find out right there.
Speaker 8 (01:40:30):
Yeah, because message JMB if you can't get it done, Corey,
and I'll make sure we get it.
Speaker 1 (01:40:35):
I'll put her right to the pres desk, right right
to the do you have a desk?
Speaker 8 (01:40:39):
I do have a desk at the desk owns me.
Oh man see and you're from this here general vicinity.
I was born in Columbus. Actually came to this spot
at the garage the day it opened, so I was
here with the first owners, the second owners, and then
I think it went into some equity group and then
(01:40:59):
the new owner here.
Speaker 1 (01:41:00):
But she has done a fantastic job. This is an
incredible spot.
Speaker 4 (01:41:03):
So it's Robin over there as the owner of the
garage here in Columbus.
Speaker 1 (01:41:08):
You like hearing stories like that.
Speaker 11 (01:41:09):
I love hearing stories like that because this is going
to be, you know, my forever home. So I want
people to appreciate it.
Speaker 1 (01:41:15):
I love it. See.
Speaker 4 (01:41:16):
I mean you're getting you're getting people not from here,
and then you're getting people that have roots here too,
which is extra special.
Speaker 1 (01:41:23):
Very special.
Speaker 4 (01:41:23):
Yeah, I would imagine anything else sports wise this weekend.
I mean, I know you and Spencer are both I you.
Speaker 8 (01:41:29):
Yeah, Spencer not negotiating with some big Green Eggs at
Thompson Furniture.
Speaker 4 (01:41:33):
Some some furniture shows the Mark Sion like the first
Mark green Egg right now.
Speaker 8 (01:41:38):
But hearing that, I think I still sleep on the
same mattress I bought there like twenty seven years ago.
Speaker 1 (01:41:43):
So Thompson Furniture, it stands out. I went in there today.
I want you that today for the first time. There's
everything in there that a guy needs. There's no doubt
about that. I need to get that I needed to get,
Like recliners, lean back, yeah, fall asleep. You don't need
a recliner, right there. You don't. I would never go
to bed. You gotta never go to bed. Hey your
(01:42:07):
hour Spencer by the way over at Thompson Furniture.
Speaker 12 (01:42:11):
Yeah, cru during the week, ten to six, ten to five, Saturday.
We've always closed on Sunday. Let everybody do their thing. Yeah,
Monday through Friday and Saturday we're around.
Speaker 4 (01:42:23):
So nineteen twenty seven, twenty seven's incredible. Yeah, no, it's
I's like the twenty seven Yankees back then. That's the
first thing that comes to my mind. Nineteen twenty seven,
like the twenty seven Yankees. Ye, all right, the coming
to that bart. Yeah, that's right, that one. Are you
throwing a big party for this? I think we have to,
There's no question. I think I think we should be involved.
(01:42:45):
I can be involved, Hammer Nigel can be involved as well.
Friends of the show right there, maybe little heaven Hill
we can beat him.
Speaker 1 (01:42:56):
We just found the party. Yeah. The food, Oh my lord,
you haven't seen this ship was the mascot of she's
I have ever had in my life. Right there, I
just had. We called that pork on pork hogwing. She
didn't offer those two Holy cave?
Speaker 11 (01:43:13):
Did you gave maple bacon with candy bacon pieces.
Speaker 1 (01:43:17):
Did you have the fried green onions? Oh yeah, the yes.
Never had them before like that, I've never had them.
I didn't even know what they were called.
Speaker 11 (01:43:27):
What they're called gasket rings?
Speaker 1 (01:43:30):
Gasket gasket rings. That's that's very that's indy five hundred.
That's comming so common. That's a hog wing. And that
is a duck wing. A duck wing. Yeah you don't.
I don't see this anywhere. That's outstanding. The really duck.
I think.
Speaker 11 (01:43:48):
Well we get a locally sourced here for belief Indian.
Speaker 1 (01:43:52):
That's awesome. That looks promised you this.
Speaker 4 (01:43:57):
Somebody leaves me some duck and I'll try the duck
the Oh yeah, that's outstanding right there. Oh you guys,
you want to hang tight with me for a little
while longer once this guy push it. Now you got
Kevin Todd's going to join us on the other side.
I'm gonna go away to go to the bathroom when
you and your buddy talk.
Speaker 1 (01:44:12):
Is that okay?
Speaker 4 (01:44:14):
Kevin Todd, even Kevin Todd are tight. Every time Kevin
Todd comes on, he buys like everybody drinks. Well, that's
been it's been a nice little thing. Kid, that's a
nice little thing. It's the interesting to see what he
has going on tonight, and it's always some kind of
special And.
Speaker 1 (01:44:28):
We have not discussed very much too.
Speaker 4 (01:44:30):
And I got a couple of you fans here disappointment
last night without you basketball.
Speaker 1 (01:44:33):
On the road. Guys, we're just trying to find ourselves
right now. I would say that too.
Speaker 4 (01:44:37):
I know everybody kind of jumps overboard on it, but
it was an offensive slog last night for guys that
consistently you're going to see Knights like that if they're
not better.
Speaker 8 (01:44:49):
You have great mid major players that just realize what
the Big ten is all about. It's physical, it's big,
and it's it's you know, they think they've got the blueprint.
When you go out and you can double team Tucker,
you can't move very well. But this team's gonna figure
it out. They're gonna win.
Speaker 7 (01:45:04):
It takes something like this too to kind of get
them going like, yeah, we just got beat. You know,
it's tough to go into somebody else's home, right Like
I mean that hill Court's big.
Speaker 1 (01:45:11):
It's the Big ten. I don't care what you hear
or what you see. It's the Big Ten.
Speaker 4 (01:45:15):
Well, when I brought up by you two about having
all these experienced college football players, not within the program,
but experience in general.
Speaker 1 (01:45:21):
I mean you think the same thing about Purdue, all
the experiences they have.
Speaker 4 (01:45:24):
I mean, I mean that comes with a great deal
I mean talent one, but a great deal of value too.
Speaker 8 (01:45:29):
I love Matt Painter. I love the program that he has,
I love his philosophy. And I tell you what to
live in Indiana right now, to have the number one
basketball college basketball team in the country, the number two
football team in the country, the Colts, the Pacers, the fever.
Speaker 1 (01:45:42):
My god, I love where I live and the pain
we got.
Speaker 4 (01:45:44):
The gap year on the Pacers last year, though, what
that does is magnify I think exactly when I talked
about the Colts, why you have to go in the
now because you're not promised a damn.
Speaker 8 (01:45:55):
You knowing jamf you said it's a gap year for
the Pacers. But I watch them play, Oh my god,
they played hard.
Speaker 1 (01:46:01):
Did you watch him last night? That they played hard
but they got beat by fifty.
Speaker 8 (01:46:04):
But they play hard, they care, They're not giving up,
They're not giving giving up.
Speaker 1 (01:46:10):
I mean that that is what everybody likes to reference
as their culture.
Speaker 8 (01:46:13):
Yeah, that is their culture. I will let the pacers
know They've never lost when I've been in the building,
have they not? No, I was there last Friday. They
got their victory.
Speaker 1 (01:46:20):
So I went last night and it was it was
not good. And by the way, John Dissour's over there.

Speaker 4 (01:48:40):

local TV in Indianapolis, Lord Percy.
Speaker 5 (01:48:44):
I won't say a whole lot about that.
Speaker 1 (01:48:45):
No, well I can't.
Speaker 4 (01:48:47):
I like, I like making fun of it all the
time when I can. But no, you're not missing a
whole lot. So what hey, James, by the way, is
is Kevin ready?
Speaker 1 (01:48:55):

Will you do that for me?
Speaker 1 (01:49:57):
Green tea shot? Yes?
Speaker 4 (01:50:00):
Yeah?
Speaker 1 (01:50:00):
Have you had nice?
Speaker 7 (01:50:02):
Yeah?
Speaker 1 (01:50:03):
Absolutely?
Speaker 4 (01:50:03):
No.
Speaker 1 (01:50:04):
What does that entail? I don't know what. I think.
There's jamison in it?
Speaker 4 (01:50:08):
Oh well, substitute weekends up to Laursen. What's the product
of brun holvers are right?
Speaker 14 (01:50:13):
There is that okay, Ken, no problem anything, But I'm
gonna be sending him a venmo as long as you
do a shot on me. And let me tell you
you're talking about tonight's game. Listen, tonight's game has huge implications.
Who would have ever thought that we're talking about Dallas
making the playoffs and Detroit not making the playoffs when
they were a pick to win your division and this
game tonight. You need to have some good information on
(01:50:34):
this game if you want to make a wager. And
let me tell you something, folks, I have the best
information out there. I've reached to my sportsbook manager friends,
I've reached to my professional gamble of friends, and I'm
telling you right now I am not losing this game tonight.
In fact, I guarantee that I'm gonna win, because if
I don't, I will give you the entire month of
December on me, that includes all the Bowl games. But folks,
(01:50:55):
that's not gonna happen. I love this matchup Dallas at Detroit.
All you have to do right now, because I'm going
to give you the information for free. I'm gonna put
money in your pocket. First, I'm going to show you
how to treat it like a business. You give me
a call right now at eight eight eight three two
zero seven five one seven. That's eight eight eight three
two zero seven five one seventy. You get tonight's information
(01:51:19):
absolutely free Dallas at Detroit.
Speaker 1 (01:51:21):
And the best thing about it.
Speaker 14 (01:51:23):
If you were with me since week one and you're
a five hundred dollars better, folks, you're up over fifteen
thousand dollars. If you been with me and you're a
thousand dollars better, you're up over thirty thousand dollars.
Speaker 6 (01:51:33):
Because what I do is I build your bankroll.
Speaker 1 (01:51:35):
And it's not too late.
Speaker 14 (01:51:36):
We got the holidays coming up, and tonight's matchup has
got to be one of the best matchups of Thursday night.
I would not be surprised if this is the most
watched football game of the entire season. That's how huge
it is. And why not have a wager on it?
Why not be on the winning side. You give me
a call right now at eight eight eight three two
zero seven five one seven. That's eight eight eight three
(01:51:57):
two zero seven five one seventy. Go to my website
thus sportsbrokers dot com and you could opt in and
a broker we'll call you.
Speaker 7 (01:52:05):
Back, Kevin, speaking of the most watched games and in history. Really,
I've looked back at the Thanksgiving games we had right
in Detroit being one of them against my Packers, and
my Packers actually pulled that out. All those dogs that
covered all three dogs on Thanksgiving Thursday, and then Black
Friday game with the Bears covering.
Speaker 1 (01:52:23):
I mean, it's wild. It's a wild while West out
there right now, my friends. So yeah, yeah, have the information.
The public has been getting smashed. So let me just
tell you something right now.
Speaker 14 (01:52:30):
If you would have bet every single dog to win
the game out right, that would have been Green Bay, Dallas,
the Bears, and Cincinnati. If you would have bet every
one of those four games on the money line to
win outright, one hundred dollars parlay would have got you
over six thousand dollars.
Speaker 7 (01:52:46):
You believe that, so, Kevin, Yes, I do believe that
because you know what I did. And I'm still kicking
myself a little bit, but I was happy with my win.
I took all three dogs that put a fifty dollars
money line outs on all three dogs on Thursday, the
Thanksgiving Day games, and that pick me sixteen hundred. I
had the Bears in there too, but I backed it
out because I wanted that Thursday action and I still hit,
(01:53:06):
but it would have been You're right it It would
have been about three thousand dollars.
Speaker 1 (01:53:10):
W man. It was a great way to start the
Thanksgiving holiday. Yeah, we were all over Dallas on Thursday.
That was the only game that I actually like.
Speaker 14 (01:53:16):
I passed on all the other games because of the
situation because I really didn't have any information. But I'm
telling you, folks, this matchup tonight. Whoever loses this game
is probably going to be looking on the outside looking in.
And I'm telling you, you want to make money, you
give me a call right now at eight eight eight
three two zero seven five one seven. That's eight eight
eight three two zero seven five one seven. I will
(01:53:37):
tell you how to treat it like a business. When
I give out a selection, gentlemen, it's quality over quantity.
You get anywhere between four to six to maybe seven
games in a week, that's it. Anything more than that, folks,
is gambling. You don't need me. You just want to
go out and bet the twenty five to fifty dollars parlies.
It's crazy. This is the way to treat it like
a business. I'm looking for serious players that want to
(01:53:57):
make money. I know the holiday season is coming up.
Get me a call right now at eight eight eight
three two zero seven five one seven. I'm gonna give
out a free play to your listeners like I do
each week, and this is in your neck of the woods,
and it's the Colts. They're traveling to Jacksonville. Now, when
you look at this game, I know the Colts have
not been playing well. Last week was the first time,
guys that they haven't scored over twenty points. They're playing Jacksonville,
(01:54:20):
and I really don't think Jacksonville is that good of
a team. I think they're pretty much smoking mirrors because
look their quarterback Trevor Lawrence. He's ranked number thirty two
in the league in pass efficiency it's only eighty one
point six. And when you look at Daniel Jones having
a great year, he's ranked ninth with a one to
one point three. I think they have the better defense.
I think they have the better run game if they
(01:54:40):
come to play. And I don't know about the injury,
how significant is to Daniel Jones because last week he
stood in the pocket, took a lot of sacks, but
Houston was one of those teams that they sack everybody.
They got the recipe to win it all because they
can beat you with their front four. But what I
like the most about this is that Jacksonville is two
and thirteen against the spread when coming off a road
(01:55:01):
division game where they win and they cover. And also, secondly,
Indianapolis Colts, they're eight and two against the spread when
they come off a road I should say a home
loss as a favorite. But but it's most important, gentleman,
is that Trevor Lawrence. He's one and five against the
spread against teams that that have over a six hundred
win percentage. I think and I believe the Colts go
(01:55:23):
on the road and they get the job done and
get a win, which is much needed to get back
in the win column because when they win this game,
they will be back in first place and back in
the playoff hunt.
Speaker 4 (01:55:35):
Ye's Kevin Todd right now one more time with your
free game number and how people can get your stuff.
Speaker 1 (01:55:40):
keV.
Speaker 14 (01:55:40):
Guys, give me a call right now at eight eight
eight three two zero seven five one seven. That's eight
eight eight three two zero seven five one seven. You
get tonight's game on me absolutely free. I'm putting money
in your pocket first, folks, you have nothing to lose.
I'm going to help you. And if I lose this game,
I give you the entire month of December absolutely free.
(01:56:03):
That's all the bowl games, that's Championship Saturday, Championship Friday.
But it's not gonna happen because I'm gonna win. And gentlemen,
like I said, green tea on me, I'll be sending
him another Venmo.
Speaker 1 (01:56:14):
Yeah, love Kevin Man. We love having you on every Thursday.
Thank you, brother.
Speaker 14 (01:56:18):
And listen, we only have two more Thursday, so we gotta,
you know, get it going. I gotta get you guys
destroyed in the next three weeks.
Speaker 1 (01:56:26):
Yeah, I love it. Friend. That's a task, but we're
gonna try it right now. Brother, Thank you.
Speaker 4 (01:56:30):
Man.
Speaker 1 (01:56:30):
All right, you'll get that vemo right now. Todd is
right there. Man.
Speaker 4 (01:56:35):
You and Kevin Todd get along just like this, Oh brother,
were like old school buddy Man got.
Speaker 1 (01:56:41):
To green Tea. You're gonna sept to your little larceny
for your substitute.
Speaker 4 (01:56:44):
We're gonna we're gonna spread it across the uhhold sprinklingfield.
Absolutely all right, guys, Brent Halverson is here. Look over there,
that's Spencer Thompson of Thompson Furniture. You got a basketball
game to get you, don't you? I do.
Speaker 1 (01:56:56):
Hey, get everybody.
Speaker 4 (01:56:57):
I know you're not open on Sunday, but get everybody
your hours and uh how if you need a new
uh recliner.
Speaker 1 (01:57:04):
Anything, Tom, Yes, that's it. You got like double recliners
right there. I like the double like the two recliner
right there.
Speaker 5 (01:57:12):
A bit of everything. But we delivered all of INDI
for free. You know that's something you don't see a lot.
Speaker 6 (01:57:17):
So come to us.
Speaker 1 (01:57:19):
We'll come to you, hey, man, once you join us
again sometime soon. It was awesome to have you, man.
Speaker 5 (01:57:23):
Yeah, I appreciate you guys.
Speaker 4 (01:57:24):
Great to meet your wife as well. Go out and
get a win. Are we watching the Bulldogs tonight.
Speaker 12 (01:57:28):
Or Ouldogs against Shelbyville?
Speaker 4 (01:57:30):
Shelbyville, Yeah, they haven't anything since Julius nitting over there,
I think back in the day. So yeah, good to
see you, brother, say in touch and thanks by the
way too for the Mendoza Heights.
Speaker 1 (01:57:43):
Mendoza, Yeah, I think he's the heisman this year. Yeah, well,
I mean I think that's going to come down to
it coming up on Saturday night.
Speaker 5 (01:57:49):
It's a big game in a lot of ways.
Speaker 1 (01:57:51):
Yeah, that we'll look for you on Saturday too as well.
Let's do it.
Speaker 4 (01:57:53):
That's Spencer Thompson right there, Thompson Furniture. He is in Columbus.
Matt Gowens is the Triple A President is with us
as well, Yes, sir. And then look at John dish
Hour over there, who's a former meteorologist.
Speaker 1 (01:58:07):
Where'd you work fifty nine fifty nine?
Speaker 5 (01:58:09):
Well, it was mainly on four fifty nine as well,
CBS four.
Speaker 13 (01:58:11):
Then also RTV six, and I wouldn't say I'm a
former meteorologist.
Speaker 5 (01:58:15):
I still dabble in weather.
Speaker 1 (01:58:16):
So r TV six are they moving over to Wish?
Is that what's happening right there?
Speaker 5 (01:58:20):
So they're they're toilists.
Speaker 1 (01:58:23):
Don't even flesh most of the time over there.
Speaker 5 (01:58:25):
They've been purchased.
Speaker 13 (01:58:26):
I will say it was very interesting walking through the
basement of that building.
Speaker 1 (01:58:30):
Yeah, I guess, well, you know a good friend of
some of the old stuff in there. I will get
a good friend of this show. Gina Gleuros is an
anchor ed WISH. But she's having a good time.
Speaker 5 (01:58:40):
I was talking about the basement of six.
Speaker 1 (01:58:42):
Oh RTV six. Is similareness going on down there?
Speaker 5 (01:58:45):
I'm sorry?
Speaker 1 (01:58:45):
Is there some weirdeness in that basement?
Speaker 13 (01:58:47):
It's just very old. You can find nineteen seventy reels.
Speaker 1 (01:58:50):
Down there, and ghost of Howard Caldwell's probably down in there.
Speaker 13 (01:58:53):
Someone probably some mice down there as well. The size
of the small cats.
Speaker 1 (01:58:56):
All right, So you said you knew some people from Columbus.
Speaker 5 (01:59:00):
Well, yeah, and I'm from Columbus.
Speaker 13 (01:59:01):
You are, so, you know you you always talk about
yacht Rocketview. Yes, Nick Nesterzani, the lead singer and the
second singer, Pete Olsen, I knew that are both from Columbus.
Speaker 1 (01:59:11):
They both went to right.
Speaker 5 (01:59:13):
They went to both.
Speaker 13 (01:59:14):
I you they're both Columbus East grads from the mid nineties,
late nineties.
Speaker 4 (01:59:19):
Now which ones people may not know their names, but
you know that the lead singers, that the one that
has the.
Speaker 5 (01:59:26):
Next thing in falsetto a lot, gotcha?
Speaker 13 (01:59:28):
And I mean they're all wearing the sunglasses the shows.
But yeah, the guy who's the main guy who's upfront
singing most of the songs, that's Nick Peters the second
the second guy.
Speaker 5 (01:59:38):
Dumb And I was going to tell you also a
guy from your neck of the woods. Yeah, we're living now,
Eric Moore. A lot of people don't know.
Speaker 13 (01:59:45):
Eric Moore's first coaching job as a head coach was
right here in Columbus. He was he coached my seventh
grade Central Terriers football team.
Speaker 4 (01:59:53):
He coached Eric Moore, who is a friend of this
show and ours and just a great human being.
Speaker 5 (02:00:00):
He coached at Central Middle School.
Speaker 13 (02:00:02):
Really, he was a seventh grade coach for one year
and I was on that team with him, and which
is the reason.
Speaker 1 (02:00:09):
I know that they probably should have kept his ass
around here because of.
Speaker 13 (02:00:17):
To keep him around and he was assistant over Columbus
eas for for a while also. But yeah, that his
first head coaching was.
Speaker 4 (02:00:23):
He is a tremendous such a nice guy coach and
a great guy, say the least.
Speaker 1 (02:00:29):
Hey, how can people see your weather reports?
Speaker 5 (02:00:31):

Speaker 1 (02:00:59):
I love you guys. I having a food coma duck
in a while, I is a duck wing right there.
Speaker 8 (02:01:06):
I'm not a fan of duck. It usually tastes a
little gamy that not at all different to flavor is outstanding.
It's still with me. I will drive an hour for
that food all day long. Absolutely right. I'm with you man.
And again those the banana pepper rings.
Speaker 4 (02:01:20):
We'll get robbing back over here for the final segment. Here,
Brent's gonna hang, Matt's gonna hang.
Speaker 8 (02:01:25):
Man.
Speaker 4 (02:01:25):
We had a great day, Columbus. Thank you so much
for coming out and being a part of this. I
absolutely love it. I love Bartholomew County. So I did
one of my first DJ gigs. This goes back to
ninety three for the Dance Machine DJ people out of
Bloomington was that there was a bar that was over
on the forty six. It played only like sixties and
(02:01:48):
seventies music. You remember what that was called.
Speaker 1 (02:01:51):
If you give me a minute, it is no longer
there Bee Bops. That was in to Hole. It was
something like that, but no, it's it's the longest sense
it makes gone.
Speaker 4 (02:01:58):
And I played the serious. The only song I knew
from that era was long, Uh, what's what's the Hollies?
Speaker 1 (02:02:06):
Long?
Speaker 4 (02:02:07):
Cool woman, Long, cool woman in the black dress. I

I'm afraid it's going to make my eyesight worse.
Speaker 1 (02:04:09):
It's going to make it better. I'll tell you that
this actually is better right here. It should be. I
can I think I can see Greensburg right now through
these things. They're in between that.
Speaker 4 (02:04:20):
How do I look in glasses? Triple A membership lounge,
me a YouTube live? I look okay, and glasses, Yeah,
turned the flashlight off. You don't need that any longer.
Speaker 1 (02:04:29):

Speaker 4 (02:04:31):
Brock and Whitney, Brock and Whitney to who we're talking
about right there, Brock and Whitney, thank you very much.

a magnifying glass, burd, I do see better. Are these readers?
Are they real? Those are readers? Okay? What'd you get these?
Speaker 9 (02:04:51):
Like?
Speaker 1 (02:04:52):
Or Walgreens? My eye doctor? When oh, oh, you went
to the real deal. I'm just pulling mine off the cheaper.
I go to Amazon. Well you go like three dollars
or like eight bucks. Yes, but these are going to
ask my wife. Yeah, I got pairs everywhere. You got
anything going on this weekend?
Speaker 4 (02:05:09):
You know?
Speaker 7 (02:05:09):
We do actually tonight, Lisa, my lovely wife who just
joined here, we're going to the Old Crow Medicine Show.
We're gonna go see mister Christen Webb, yes over there.
It was joined us today, which was awesome that he
was here. Lisa so lovely. She she can rock a
hat right straight. And mister Waters hat on too, a
rock and a hat over there. And then tomorrow night
we're actually going to Louisville, Kentucky to see Billy Strings
(02:05:31):
at the Young Center.
Speaker 4 (02:05:33):
Williams Strings, mister Williams Williams Strings is coming to Fisher's Event.
Speaker 7 (02:05:38):
Center too, right, I believe that is April twenty fourth
and twenty fifth.
Speaker 1 (02:05:41):
Better set us up with tickets to give away from
Billy String.
Speaker 7 (02:05:44):
Definitely to get some of that going on, because that's
gonna be a big show, seventy five hundred people. I mean,
he played some small venues, but even you know last
year played at Gamebridge. We're going to see him at
the Young Center, which is about fifteen thousand, So Fisher's
Event Center seventy five hundred people.
Speaker 1 (02:05:58):
It's a little bit more intimate, it is. I'm excited
to see a show. By the way, there, I've seen
the show.
Speaker 4 (02:06:03):
I've see a show there yet, no match leader would
be happy about it.
Speaker 7 (02:06:08):
He's a big fan of indig Knights there. I mean,
they've got all kinds of great things going on, so
we're excited about that. It's going to kick off a
great kind of in that springtime, right, So we'll have
some fun things going on mistic Waters Campground for those
coming into camp and have some fun for the Billy
String shows in April.
Speaker 1 (02:06:23):
President goings triple A. What we got going on? Great
deals right now? Great deals.
Speaker 8 (02:06:28):
The gift membership for fifty dollars is the best time
of the year to buy a membership for someone that
you know, like and love. Even if you don't like him,
you just want to see him on the side of
the road.
Speaker 4 (02:06:35):
I talk about the great deals you also get with
entertainment values around it.
Speaker 8 (02:06:39):
You know when you talk about entertainment venues. You know
at the Brown County Music Center. I was talking to him,
we need to create a partnership there so if you
give our members I.
Speaker 1 (02:06:48):
Love how the value.
Speaker 8 (02:06:49):
What's all about here, right absolute Thompson furniture. We're gonna
give away some free furniture one.
Speaker 1 (02:06:53):
Of these days. I know it it's coming Matt.
Speaker 7 (02:06:55):
I'll tell you this, and I've told you before, like
one of our things and we've got, you know, a
seventeen year old soon to be eighteen year old driver.
One of the best things we have is that Triple
A membership, and last year used it, so I mean
it just helped us out. Right, she had a flat tire.
Speaker 8 (02:07:09):
Boom, you guys are there and within twenty thirty minutes coincidentally,
I showed up and you're like, Triple A was just
with my daughters. Yeah, So we get a lot of those.
And right now, it's the battery. The cranking power of
these batteries can't handle the cold weather. It's extremely cold,
and we come out. We have the best price, three
year warranty on all of our batteries. I mean, it's
an incredible deal.
Speaker 7 (02:07:29):
So it's a night supposed to get down in the
teams too. So you're gonna have probably a couple more
calls coming up. This uh keep saying I live in Indiana.
Next week it should be seventy and it's just not
coming true.
Speaker 8 (02:07:39):
But yet, man, we're seeing you know, twelve thirteen hundred
phone calls a day right now, strained straight on the
side of the road.
Speaker 4 (02:07:46):
So triple A dot com, Triple A dot Com, triple
A office, and you can go straight to the President's Yes.
Speaker 9 (02:07:52):
Right.
Speaker 7 (02:07:52):
You know.
Speaker 8 (02:07:53):
The one thing that I want to say that we
don't do a good job of is our app. If
you could download our app, you can hit the tow
truck request right there and it just comes right to you.
Speaker 1 (02:08:01):
It's like to start talking about that more.
Speaker 8 (02:08:04):
We need we need people to download that app. Yeah,
but we're excited. We have a new year coming. Partnerships
are staying the same. You get six free tickets to
the Wednesday night at the Indians Games, the fast Pass
at ruof the Zoo, the symphony ORCHITV show, JMV.
Speaker 1 (02:08:18):
We do everything so you guys are great. We try
to take care of our members. We need that too.
Speaker 4 (02:08:24):
Hey, you guys have been great. Thank you Matt Today, Brent,
we're all we next week.
Speaker 7 (02:08:29):
Next week we're at the legendary mouse Trap app, the
mouse Trap in Broad Ripple Man. We're gonna have Mike
Quardo and Troy Kroltz join us, and uh, we've had
a lot of fun there over the years, and uh,
I'm looking forward to getting back to the mouse Trap.
Speaker 1 (02:08:42):
I have some great picks going on, of course, but
some of the greatest.
Speaker 7 (02:08:45):
I mean, we had some great food here today at
the Garage Pub.
Speaker 3 (02:08:49):
We love.
Speaker 8 (02:08:51):
You.
Speaker 1 (02:08:52):

Speaker 2 (02:08:53):

Speaker 1 (02:08:54):

tomorrow as well.
