Speaker 1 (00:10):
And where we go here?
Speaker 2 (00:13):
Anything you have a chance against us, mister cowboy game food?
Speaker 3 (00:17):
What you like to do?
Speaker 4 (00:18):
Oh, I don't play chess.
Speaker 5 (00:21):
School Sweller's play chess.
Speaker 3 (00:23):
They give off that. Jonathan Taylor Chuck cunning its way
cooking the goal line. He's in there, put down Andy.
Why Jonathan Taylor Wheler.
Speaker 6 (00:33):
Finds here's haliber into the front court, mishandled it.
Speaker 7 (00:39):
Mcgin's Adie shot hefts it.
Speaker 4 (00:43):
John.
Speaker 8 (00:44):
I have never been bedroom to be on the air
with you here in Indianapolis, a place where so many
of my dreams have come true.
Speaker 4 (00:51):
The ride with jmvy on ninety three five and one
oh seven five the Fan.
Speaker 7 (00:57):
It is a glorious day once again in in early October,
and we are found in Fishers in one of our
favorite spots would be Parks Place Pub. I'm assuming both
matts will be here a little bit later on. I
can tell you I just received a heads up Lindsay
Monroe Channel thirteen is going to slide by a little
bit later on. So that is cool. We'll do that.
(01:20):
We've got a loaded show. I'm looking at mind. My
picture just popped up there a second ago. That was
pretty interesting. We've got major League Baseball, so playoff action,
live action baseball in the postseason, and decisive game threes.
Now there could have been one more, but if you
watched the Reds last night, it was like a little
(01:42):
league versus varsity that wasn't gonna work out whatsoever, in
which we'll talk about I'm sure coming up in a minute,
but we're loaded to bottom of the hour. Chris Myers
has the call on Fox coming up on Sunday of
the Raiders and the Colts, the longtime ESPN personnel. I
was just kind of thinking of his catch phrases back
(02:03):
on ESPN a little bit earlier today too. That deserves
a wow, I think is one of those. But Chris
Myers will join us. He's got the call Sunday, bottom
of the hour. It's Mike Chapel of CBS four and
Fox fifty nine coming up in the five o'clock gower
former Colts tid end Charles Arbuckle five thirty today. Charles,
(02:27):
of course splitting some time on the Colts Radio network,
but always a great analyst for us. And I will
also give you a heads up that finally we got
him out and he is here with our good friend
Brian Kelly of the shop in broad Ripple and Carmel,
and if you're watching via the Triple A Membership Lounge
(02:49):
YouTube live, they have new shirts. Now we'll see how
long they're able to go with these shirts. I guess
until somebody comes out and we'll see. I'm gonna put
you on the timetable right now to see. But it
is the Indiana Jones Danny Dimes shirts right here that
(03:09):
they have this shop that is in broad Rupple that
is in Carmel on mass Ev as well.
Speaker 3 (03:15):
So thank you Brian for bringing that.
Speaker 7 (03:17):
And he also brought in He's been a little skeptical
about making a live show appearance, and I understand that.
But Joel A Eericson of The Star is here now.
Normally he's going to be here for an entire segment
every Friday. He does that at four o'clock along with
Chris Hagen a Fox fifty nine. So we can tout
up first in Joel. But Joel is here. We're gonna
(03:39):
work him not only in with our free sampling going
on here, but also work him in on a couple
of questions regarding colts practice s and Xavian Howard and
all that stuff coming up in just a second. Buck
Brent Halverson, who is my partner every Thursday, joins us
once again, and it's cool with our larceny bourbon locks
and Luna's with the key of the shots. Because your
(04:01):
entire family is here today, that's awesome.
Speaker 9 (04:03):
It's pretty special, John, I mean, it's always a pleasure
to be back here at Parks Place Pub. There's not
a better place right here in downtown Fisher's and it's about.
Speaker 3 (04:11):
To get a little bigger.
Speaker 9 (04:12):
We'll talk to mister Schleider at the four o'clock hour
about that. But yeah, I've got my sister Steph, my
brother in law Chris, my nieces Dakota Kennedy. There are
two new young ones out there, Asher and Lennon back there.
Then my wife Lisa, Sierra who just left. She's heading
out the time.
Speaker 3 (04:30):
I see Sierra still sitting over there right now, she's
still here, all right.
Speaker 9 (04:33):
Well, there's and Sage he's out there too, So I
get the whole family out here.
Speaker 3 (04:37):
They all came in.
Speaker 9 (04:38):
It's a senior night for Mount Vernon tonight, their last
home game, and sadly enough, this is gonna be Sierra's
last game.
Speaker 3 (04:44):
Ever as in Mount Vernon Marauders. That's incredible. We've got too.
Speaker 9 (04:47):
I'm gonna have to step out of tad early today
just we're gonna have to go out and walk out
on the court, which is gonna be pretty exciting with her.
Speaker 3 (04:52):
But yeah, pretty special.
Speaker 9 (04:54):
They all came in from Florida and had a nice,
wonderful lunch here to start the day, and now we're
gonna roll into some great, great conversation with you.
Speaker 7 (05:02):
And look at look at a friend I don't think
you've met before. Your right there, just momentarily Joel a Ericson.
Speaker 3 (05:09):
Of the Star.
Speaker 7 (05:10):
We've always talked about me being the bad influence, and
we finally got him out on a Thursday as it stands.
With Larcenitie bourbon locks, Luna's Ultequila shots.
Speaker 5 (05:19):
What do you got over there, buddy.
Speaker 10 (05:20):
I've got like it's larcity in ginger.
Speaker 7 (05:23):
Look at that. That's my drink of choice right here.
So my lifestyle fluid is what this is right Trying
the JMV Okay JMV is awesome. By the way, you
will fall in love all over again, Joel, There's no
doubt about that.
Speaker 3 (05:37):
Height things you witnessed things you didn't expect.
Speaker 7 (05:41):
I guess after six o'clock last night, Zavi and Howard
saying you know what I'm done last week was enough.
I'm absolutely done. You probably witnessed a lot of things.
I don't know if you've ever done that.
Speaker 10 (05:54):
No, I don't know that I've ever seen a retirement
kind of mid mid season that you know it.
Speaker 3 (06:01):
I will say, if you think, if.
Speaker 10 (06:02):
I think back to like in the locker room on Sunday,
it felt like he was a little bit different, but
you kind of just chalk it up to, yeah, that
was such a bad game for him that, you know,
I definitely wasn't thinking, especially after this stuff Anna Rumo said,
and stuff seke and said, I was expecting him to.
Speaker 5 (06:16):
Keep playing in the lineup.
Speaker 10 (06:19):
But yeah, I think I think he probably just got
to the point where he was like, do I really
want to do this where I'm getting targeted that.
Speaker 1 (06:25):
Kind of thing.
Speaker 7 (06:25):
Yeah.
Speaker 10 (06:26):
My understanding is that it was this is Howard driven.
This is not Colds driven. This is this is Howard
realizing I've kind of done.
Speaker 3 (06:33):
So would he have played this weekend had he stayed?
That was the sense I got.
Speaker 10 (06:38):
Since I got I don't know that it would have
been the same one hundred, you know, ninety percent type
snap thing. I think they, especially with the matchup with
the Raiders speed guy, that maybe they would have used
black men Moir, but I think I think he was
going to keep playing.
Speaker 7 (06:50):
Yeah, that's it was an odd thing to say the least,
But you know, the way you look at they didn't
really have to be hardcore autumn since he just stepped away.
They probably did him and the Long Haul a big favorite.
So is it Edwards Now they turn their attention to
where are we going with it?
Speaker 10 (07:08):
I think it's probably mostly black men this week. It'd
be my guess because Trey Tucker from the Raiders is
kind of a boomer bus speed guy and that's where
they've used black men against before. I do think Jonathan
Edwards is going to get some more time because he
likes to mix and match. I think the long term,
the rest of this season, they got to get Jalen
Jones healthy. Yeah, they got to get him fixed with
(07:29):
that hamstring. I think he's their best shot at that spot.
I like Jonathan Edwards, you know, he's a rookie. I
think Jones is a guy that is a bigger deal.
Speaker 7 (07:37):
I know you guys going around the team a little
bit earlier today. That's Joeli Erickson with us. He will
join us in his normal position coming up tomorrow with
Chris Haig and the Fox fifty nine so they can
promote first. And Joel we'll be live at Binkley's and
Broad Rubble coming up tomorrow. But we wanted to get
him on since he decided for the first time to
come out today and enjoy the Nectar of the Gods
is larceny, bourbon and ginger rail right here at Parks
(07:58):
Place Pub and Fisher's. But when you're looking at you know,
the injury situations going in, guys playing, guys not playing.
What are your thoughts on a d Mitchell? Is he
going to be a healthy scratch on Sunday? Well, we
have some sort of disciplinary measure taken that we're unaware
of right now.
Speaker 10 (08:17):
I am really watching that in active list. If Shane
Styken doesn't say it, because all he's said so far
is we'll see how it goes. That's not really the
tone he's taken when we've had other It's not even
that's not the tone he took on Howard This No,
you know When we talked to him this week, he
didn't say we'll see how it goes as far as
him playing. He kind of said more like we've got
to help him more that kind of thing. So, yeah,
(08:37):
we've all got our you know, kind of interest up
on what they're going to do with ad Mitchell there.
Speaker 7 (08:43):
What do you think they should do? You have anything
in mind? Well, it's it.
Speaker 10 (08:48):
Does seem like to me that this is something that
they've emphasized since the Tailor mistake. And you have to
kind of be in the locker room to see this.
I'm sure some people have seen it on video, but
like before we could even ask is this emphasized, Mitchell
was going letters and logos, letters and logos.
Speaker 3 (09:05):
So I think this is.
Speaker 10 (09:06):
Something they've emphasized. I do think that maybe, you know,
a loss of playing time is appropriate in this situation,
if it's something that they've harped on ever since that
Taylor mistake and then you make the mistake.
Speaker 3 (09:16):
Anyways, seems like it would be easy to do too.
I mean, it'd be easy to do. Everybody would kind
of agree with it.
Speaker 7 (09:22):
Plus, if Alec Pearce is healthy and comes back, you know,
the reps are not going to be anywhere near the same.
The looks aren't going to be anywhere near the same anyway,
So what the hell?
Speaker 10 (09:30):
He was only playing tennis snaps ye game before with Peerce,
So I think I think, yeah, it's probably it's probably
a little easier game plan wise. Also, that's kind of
how it went with the Richardson benching last year.
Speaker 3 (09:42):
Was he's two for fifteen.
Speaker 10 (09:43):
Everyone was wondering should they pull him at halftime. He
plays out the rest of that Texans game. The next
day the benching happened.
Speaker 3 (09:48):
Yeah, makes sense.
Speaker 7 (09:49):
Joel Erickson with US I mentioned Alec Pearce and the
injury situations that are evolving right now. How do things
look going into the rest of this week and then Sunday.
Speaker 5 (09:57):
I think they look fairly.
Speaker 10 (10:00):
I was Matcanzalves being out there was a big deal,
you know, I think after you got to have your
right guard there. Pierce was in blue again today, that's good.
Speaker 3 (10:07):
Yeah.
Speaker 10 (10:08):
I think the biggest injury thing in this game is
actually Colton Miller from the Raiders being out the left
tackle because the backup is Stone Forsyth.
Speaker 3 (10:16):
That is a big deal.
Speaker 10 (10:17):
I know Colts fans probably don't know who Stone Forsyth
is and I don't really know who he is on it.
Speaker 3 (10:21):
He was a news guy, right what I.
Speaker 11 (10:22):
Know about what I know about story, he does sound
like a morning morning anchor. What I do know is
that he got cut by the Giants like four weeks ago,
so that leaut To Latsu might be in for a second.
Speaker 3 (10:34):
Big game in a row.
Speaker 7 (10:35):
Well, yeah, you kind of wonder if that's going to
even itself out because the Colts are going to have
to deal with just an absolute defensive game wrecker and
Max Crosby.
Speaker 10 (10:42):
So yeah, absolutely, Crosby versus Braden Smith.
Speaker 3 (10:45):
That's the matchup to watch this game.
Speaker 7 (10:47):
Oh man, And and he is. It doesn't matter who
you are over there. I mean, he's gone. He was
basically doing absolutely everything you could against the Bears.
Speaker 3 (10:55):
If you watch that game this past Sunday. So you're
gonna hang around for a while, I'm hanging around for
a little bit.
Speaker 7 (11:00):
Yeah all right, Well we're gonna have you back on
again tomorrow. I know that they had you on in
the morning show. We don't normally double up, but since
you showed up here for the first time, see, these
are the things you're gonna have to become a part
of right here.
Speaker 10 (11:10):
Well, Brian Kelly from the shop texted me and said,
come on yes, yes he did. He said come on out,
and I was like, you know, I got some time
in the afternoon.
Speaker 7 (11:17):
He's a bad influence too, right there, man, he is
a bad influence.
Speaker 3 (11:21):
Brian Kelly of the shop.
Speaker 7 (11:22):
Joey Ericson at the Star four o'clock tomorrow, will do
it again, okay, and joy the larceny bourbon.
Speaker 3 (11:28):
We got you over there.
Speaker 5 (11:29):
Yeah, yeah, the JMV.
Speaker 7 (11:31):
If you need more, we're here for you too. Just
let that be known. Okay, you bet.
Speaker 3 (11:36):
Joey Ericson to the Star is right there.
Speaker 7 (11:38):
Brent Halverson rejoins, we got a week five worth of picks,
but we have to go back to see how everybody
did last week.
Speaker 3 (11:45):
Did I stay hot? You stayed hot. I'm staying hot.
Speaker 9 (11:48):
You stayed really hot. You were eleven and four again last.
Speaker 7 (11:51):
Week I was eleven and four because we had a push,
shouldn't we eleven?
Speaker 9 (11:55):
Well, no, I don't love you eleven eleven and five.
The push actually lost because seven I think to pick him.
It pushed get lost by the number.
Speaker 7 (12:04):
Yeah, yeah, you know, let's talk about that's the ties, right, Like,
that's not the ties. I mean the game ended at
like twelve fifteen in the morning. You stay up all
that time to go through overtime. You deserve better than
a stinking tie. And I know that hits home with you.
Speaker 1 (12:20):
Oh it does.
Speaker 3 (12:21):
And we were ryder. Cup. I was watching the hotel
lobby with a big group after.
Speaker 9 (12:26):
Several Elijah Craigs throughout the day, and no, it was
again pretty crazy. And as soon as that second scoring
drive happened, which should have been fourteen to oh blocked
extra point, ran back for two, I knew that was
going to come into play, and it did. And a
tie again. I just don't understand why we have ties.
Speaker 3 (12:44):
In the NFL. That absolutely stinks.
Speaker 7 (12:47):
But eleven and fins you do not good John, Okay,
the wholder opposite. We all were, you were, you were tall,
We were all weeks to steph wore all went five
and eleven and I've been I think I've been eleven
and five for three. You have, Yeah, they like we
talked a couple of weeks ago. You were putting some
dollars on that you would have had another week.
Speaker 9 (13:06):
I might have to maybe become a better I'm gonna
start fading me and taking your place.
Speaker 3 (13:12):
I like the way that is.
Speaker 7 (13:13):
So we look at our week five picks that strucks
with the Niners in the Rams. Of course, we saw
the Rams last week they beat the Colts. Niners are
going to be without brock Perty once again their quarterback,
so that is incredibly problematic.
Speaker 3 (13:25):
What do you begin with that matchup tonight?
Speaker 9 (13:27):
I think I think the Rams are poised just to
absolutely put it all over San Francisco due to all
kinds of factors in its injuries, right, yeah, what I
mean speaking of injuries, this year has been absolutely I mean,
all the big dogs are going down, right, and if
you look at what's happening with San Francisco, parties out
again and of course, of course we know Kittles out
Joey Posta. That's probably the biggest loss there on that
(13:48):
San Francisco defense. So yeah, a lot of injuries happening
in San Francisco. This line has jumped. It was it
was at six and now it's at eight and a half.
So a lot of money hitting the Rams. You know,
this is gonna be a tough one lane. Eight and
a half's pretty good number. But I think this is
gonna be a Rams two touchdown score.
Speaker 7 (14:07):
When you know, obviously we have some by week teams
this week as well we'll have to deal with, so
not as large a schedule as what we normally would
go through. Chiefs and Jaguars coming up this week. That's
one to watch. The Jaguars get that win over the
Niners last week in San Francisco, and the Chiefs it
looked like against the Ravens they got offensively back on
(14:29):
track last week.
Speaker 9 (14:29):
Brant, Yeah, I mean putting up some points. I mean
Mahomes looking like the Mahomes of years ago. Right, So yeah,
there's a again, not a lot of really super sexy
games out there, but there are a couple though. That
Washington Charger games should be good now that Daniels is back.
Still waiting to hear about scary Terry. Then also you
got the Tampa Bay Seattle game I think is gonna
(14:50):
be the game of the week.
Speaker 7 (14:51):
Well, Tampa Bay was dealing with injuries too, and they
made major mistakes, especially Baker Mayfield, that kept them from
really putting the pressure on the Eagles as we witness
last week. And you know, the Seahawks just kind of
going through it three and a half point favorites at home.
(15:12):
These the larger numbers probably scare me now more than ever.
I will say this Tonight's doesn't because I would agree
with you. I think the Rams run rough shot. But
the Bills have an eight and a half point number
as a favorite at home. They didn't cover last week
at home against the Saints in a win.
Speaker 3 (15:29):
They get the Patriots at.
Speaker 7 (15:31):
Home this week, so I don't know until they prove
it to me, I don't know if I'm going to
go with a larger number. And one of the better
teams in the NFL, the Buffalo Bills, even when they're
playing at home.
Speaker 9 (15:42):
Bread, Yeah, it's tough. I mean they're they're winning the games,
they're just not covering, right, and again some big numbers
out there. You know, they're sitting at four oh so
now they're in a good driver's seat. They're winning the games,
but you know, those big numbers have been tough to
cover and they've come just short, right, I mean it
was fifteen, they won by twelve or something like that.
So they're just off there and it's going to be
you know, the New England team, they're looking pretty sharp
(16:02):
coming up of a big win two and.
Speaker 3 (16:04):
Great May looked outstanding.
Speaker 7 (16:06):
I know that because I have him in fantasy since
I got drunk and passed out and drafted four quarterbacks
and I'm glad I did because I've needed like all
four of them, and he was this daughter. He looked
really good. Now we'll see is Jayden and Daniel's going
to be back this week. It looks like he's in
line to play once again. They've been going in Washington
with Marcus Marriota. Looks like Daniels is going to be
back this week as the Commander's on the road against
(16:28):
the Chargers, and now, yeah, absolutely he is back.
Speaker 9 (16:31):
I'm still waiting to hear on Terry McLaurin. That's another
big piece right there. But you get Jaydon Daniels back there,
that does change significantly the game.
Speaker 3 (16:38):
I mean, well, the Chargers.
Speaker 7 (16:39):
Were massively disappointing in New York to and again they
played in New York, which means they basically played La
Time at about ten in the morning or whatever. And
they looked like a team that was slogging around at
ten in the morning last week.
Speaker 9 (16:51):
Yeah, and you know what, so I didn't have a
chance to watch a lot of football, but that was
what came. I did watch that Steeler early game, which
is nice that we're out on the course, so it
was tough to watch, but I did kind of keep
an eye on that, and I did see Jackson Dart
brings a whole level of enthusiasm and spark to that
New York Giant team. We've talked about this since the
(17:12):
beginning of the year that he should have been the guy.
Speaker 3 (17:15):
Anyway, he comes in there, Russell Wilson drags you down
at this point, he's guys.
Speaker 9 (17:19):
I mean, hey, he had a great week two. I
think it was where he threw for four fifty and
three touchs. But Jackson Dart comes in instantly runs one
in first score of the game, and that place is electric,
you know, And I think Jackson Dart is going to
be you know, they still have a really good offensive line,
so they're gonna be struggling with that, but I think
he is going to give a little bit of a
spark here.
Speaker 3 (17:37):
It'll be interesting to see how how they do. And
we find here's the problem with that.
Speaker 7 (17:40):
Even if you're the crappy Saints, you've got a now
a week's worth of.
Speaker 3 (17:44):
Tape on him.
Speaker 7 (17:46):
And those those games with the rookie quarterbacks that you know,
do some work and kind of surprise people the next week.
I'm apprehensive about thinking, especially in a situation no matter
who they're playing, but against a bad team on the road,
I'm a little skeptical about that. You gotta be skeptical.
I mean, that's a bad team on the road. Is
(18:08):
you know, you just don't know.
Speaker 9 (18:09):
I mean it's the NFL, right, things happen, that the
unexpected happens, and and again with what we're seen going
on with all of these key players out there getting injured,
I mean, you just don't even know. I mean, what
about Tyreek Hill's leg. By the way that thing was,
he leaves laughing and cheering.
Speaker 3 (18:28):
He was cheering.
Speaker 7 (18:29):
That's the only time you know how things are going
with your team and your organization. When the guy's cheering
for his injuries. He's leaving a field knowing he's not
playing again.
Speaker 9 (18:37):
This Yeah, he was happy. I think he was officially done.
Speaker 7 (18:41):
I mean he was just going opposite of what it
normally is. His personality in a nutshell. I just can't
picture doing that leg. I mean, the way that leg was,
I'm like, how do you get up even smiling after that, man,
I mean you must have to get some kind of
a good, good shot of something to make you feel better.
Speaker 3 (18:55):
I don't know. That was pretty wild.
Speaker 7 (18:56):
The England game this week is the Vikings and the
brown Of course we talked about no Jj McCarthy. For
the Vikings, it's Carson Wentz again and Dylan Gabriel is
going to get his first start on the road in
London at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium coming up on Sunday morning
at nine thirty am.
Speaker 3 (19:13):
I will give you this.
Speaker 7 (19:15):
The Browns defensively can hang but all over the ice
with Flacco and we saw that here a year ago.
And you get a rookie quarterback going on the road,
the Vikings defense can be better, decent to better.
Speaker 3 (19:30):
That is a tough call.
Speaker 7 (19:31):
Even if I do like the Browns defense, I think
we all do.
Speaker 9 (19:35):
Yeah, and they are their defense is stout, But you know,
I mean you got to look also too. I mean
the Lions put thirty four up on them, right, So
Lions came out there and showed them out of debt.
Speaker 3 (19:44):
The Browns beat the.
Speaker 9 (19:45):
Packers, right, So yeah, with Duan Gabriel back there, what
does that bring right, that's going to be the big
question mark, is it, you know, is it going to
be that rookie start where you just he gets picked
four times and it just falters. Or is it going
to be that Jackson dart where you know, jack didn't
do all that great, only through for a buck eleven,
but he brought a spark that sparked everybody else in
that game.
Speaker 3 (20:05):
It's going to be interesting to see that.
Speaker 9 (20:07):
I mean, everybody's still kind of scratching their head on
shear Sanders, you know what Sanders doing there sitting at
the third spot. But I think the you know, just
seeing what's going on here and in the game that early,
I mean granted over there, what is that that's like
two or three in the afternoon.
Speaker 3 (20:21):
I think there's six hours difference.
Speaker 9 (20:22):
But it's going to be interesting to see how that
really comes into play. I mean, you can just tell
right away when you look at these over unders. Everything's
in the forties, mid forties, high forties, and then you
got thirty six and a half. It tells you we're
going to have a little bit of a just kind
of a barmber. I think Miles Garrett might eat Carson Winz,
so just fully eat him.
Speaker 3 (20:40):
Yeah, that's that's the thing, you know.
Speaker 7 (20:42):
But we'll see Brent holiverson JMV Parks play pub Lar
City Bourbon Locks, lundosilt Key the shots. We just talked
to Joel about what went Donna practice today. Is Avian
Howard yesterday deciding to step away and retire from the game. Well,
what may be the discipline of a d Mitchell and
a team that, even with their first loss of the
season in Southern California last week, they look the part
(21:06):
of a good team.
Speaker 3 (21:07):
They still do.
Speaker 7 (21:08):
They made bonehead mistakes and the coach did as well,
but they look like the team that can play the
role that is three to one on the season, they
get the Raiders, and the Raiders bro an opportunity with
a kick to beat the Bears. Their start has not
(21:28):
been good. Geno Smith and their lone wins so far
this year was outstanding in Foxborough, but really not at
all since.
Speaker 3 (21:34):
That point in time.
Speaker 7 (21:36):
What do you make of this matchup with the Raiders
and the Colts on Sunday, Bren, I.
Speaker 9 (21:39):
Think it'll be interesting. I think the Colts are the
real deal, I really do. I think Daniel Jones is
He's revisited himself. He's playing some football bonehead moves like
you mentioned that Mitchell fumble. I mean, don't if you're
listening out there and you play football, you hold onto
that ball until you are passed through the end zone.
Don't let go of it. Don't celebrate early, get in
there is the whole complex of the game. If that happens, Yeah, yeah.
Speaker 3 (22:02):
That in the hole and then the ten men on
the field.
Speaker 7 (22:05):
Well yeah, bone had right, it's still that touchdown. Just man,
that just uh, I mean they were up ten to
just they can't believe it. But anyway, I think, uh,
you know the Colts that they do have together. The
question mark is is the Raiders.
Speaker 9 (22:18):
They look really good one week and then they look
like they can't even play with anybody else the other week.
So what Raiders team are you going to get? That's
gonna be the biggest test right there. I mean, you know,
we can see if the Cults are a pretty stout
seven point favorite, and uh you know, coming off of
asking genty for the Raiders finally breaking out and having
having a big day last week with three touchdowns, so
you know it's going to be interesting again. I think
(22:39):
it's going to be the culture at home. We gotta
love that. You gotta love being at home. Home field
advantage twelve. Band's got to get real loud. So yeah,
we'll talk through this here at the top of the
four o'clock hour, go through and pick it apart a
little bit.
Speaker 7 (22:52):
We've got some synergy work into Parks Place Pub because
this fine young lady just walked in with the Stephen
Kwan jersey and then Steven I actually Stephen Kuwand just
flew out. Uh yeah, yeah, the Kwan jerseys, Rabbahandja right
there and uh unfortunately Quand just flew out. It was weird, though,
the dynamic Kwan came to the plate and the jersey
walked in right here.
Speaker 9 (23:11):
Would have been pretty pretty spectacular if it was a
big home run right after that, right Yeah. So yeah, hey,
you walked in playoff baseball. I'm so happy our red's
got there. But my god, we did look like JV
out there against a professional team.
Speaker 3 (23:24):
Yeah, there's a shout out. You just walked in with
a Quand jersey and Kwan but yeah.
Speaker 7 (23:29):
But yeah you didn't bring good luck because he just
flew out. Yeah, there you go, Parks Place Pub Brent
and I. We get a lot more for everybody.
Speaker 1 (23:37):
What are we bad?
Speaker 3 (23:37):
We have geared to give away, correct that some great
gear and we.
Speaker 7 (23:40):
Have sampling going on and we're going to have a
fun loving Joel a riction that we're going to be
the bad influence for over the course of the afternoon.
Speaker 9 (23:47):
That's me right here, that's right. And you're doing well
right now. He's he's enjoying a nice little larcity g.
Speaker 3 (23:52):
Him over there.
Speaker 7 (23:53):
Yeah, it may have it may have a slight nip
on it right there, but that's okay.
Speaker 3 (23:57):
That's right. It has a little nip. Not ever, not
everybody can be like us, and professionals you cannot. That's right.
Speaker 9 (24:02):
Hey, beautiful day, parks plays, pub garage, doors are open,
the air's flowing in here.
Speaker 3 (24:07):
It's just it's a great feel around here.
Speaker 9 (24:09):
And again we'll talk through a little bit about this
awesome place that's going to be growing.
Speaker 3 (24:12):
So we'll talk about the NBA. They've got big news
leader and witlow I believe a little.
Speaker 7 (24:16):
Bit later on, Linja Monroe is going to join us
in here live a little bit later on to Charles Arbuckle,
the former Colts tied in for the radio Network after five.
Mike Chapel is going to be there as well. Our
picks for week five coming up in the four o'clock hour.
But coming up next Chris Myers, who's got the coll
coming up on Sunday for Fox.
Speaker 3 (24:37):
It is the Raiders and.
Speaker 7 (24:38):
The Colts and the long time sports voice, whether it's
Fox or ESPN. And Chris Myers has been awesome because
he has been doing a little bit of absolutely everything.
My man has lived the dream. Chris is going to
join us. Coming up on the other side, I've got
Kansas Jefferson Starship tickets for you and more Bulls Eye
(25:01):
passes over the course of the afternoon.
Speaker 3 (25:03):
The stream, the app, it's HD Radio.
Speaker 7 (25:05):
I've got the tech stream working for you three one seven, two, three, nine,
ten seventy as well the Triple A Membership Lounge via
YouTube live. Hello everybody out there at Parks Place Pub
in Fisher's Week five largity Bourbon Locks, Luno's alte Quill,
the Shots, We're back with you and Chris Myers on
the other side, it's ninety three to five, one oh
seven five The Fan.
Speaker 4 (25:28):
The Ride with JMV.
Speaker 3 (25:30):
This is your Brain on drug Any questions.
Speaker 4 (25:33):
Ninety three, five and one oh seven five the fan.
Speaker 3 (25:38):
Parks Place pub.
Speaker 7 (25:39):
But we've got our larcity bourbon lox and Luno's wilt
to kill the shots coming at you.
Speaker 3 (25:44):
Top of the four o'clock hour. Charles R.
Speaker 7 (25:48):
Buckle, former Colts tight end here actually on the phone,
but not here in Fishers five o'clock hour as well.
It is a here Man weekend on the JMV take
go over on B one oh five point seven. That
doesn't mean all hair band, but a lot of hair
band on the hair band weekend coming.
Speaker 3 (26:05):
Up for you.
Speaker 7 (26:07):
We got bets, We've got our largeity bourbon locks and
Luna's to walte Keilly shots. Alec Pierce back in practice
today again for a second straight day, and Xavian Howard
was the big story last night. Decided to retire.
Speaker 3 (26:23):
Done. So we'll see where the colts go in that secondary.
Speaker 7 (26:28):
Needing to get healthy is what Joeli Erickson told us
a little bit earlier, and that is absolutely true. We'll
see where they end up going in that capacity. Chris
Myers and Fox is on the call coming up on Sunday.
He's going to join us or at least Schedule two
coming up in a couple of minutes as well.
Speaker 3 (26:43):
Parks Place Pub.
Speaker 7 (26:44):
We've got a decisive Game three and the Al wild
Card between the Guardians and the Tigers.
Speaker 3 (26:51):
We'll keep track of that.
Speaker 7 (26:52):
You've also got two others coming up led a Rock today,
the Padres and Cubs at Wrigley, the Red Sox and
the Yankees for Yankee Stadium, and our Red Legs decided.
Speaker 3 (27:02):
To go home last night. You know, it's funny.
Speaker 7 (27:05):
All you had to do just turn up the volume.
And as Lance McAllister told us yesterday, you could tell
the volume and the mic set up magnifies bad on ball,
and last night it was never more evident. When the
Dodgers made contact, it sounded like somebody shot a stinking
(27:27):
cannon on your TV at home. When the Reds made contact,
it sounded like you were swinging a whiffleball bat at
a marshmallow.
Speaker 3 (27:37):
It just was not the same.
Speaker 7 (27:38):
And listen, I know the payroll, and I know young
and inexperienced and all that, it was just not the
same at all. And even when they got out early
with that too nothing advantage. You just knew.
Speaker 3 (27:55):
And all you have to do is.
Speaker 7 (27:56):
You go through that Dodger lineup and what are you
going to do with that mess?
Speaker 3 (28:00):
I mean, how Will Smith wasn't even out there.
Speaker 7 (28:04):
I mean all these guys, even though worst hitter on
the team, like went yard sixteen seventeen times in a year,
and hell, let'd be close to leading the Reds. Yeah,
it just wasn't the same, was not the same, and
you saw it last night. I will always be a
Reds fan, but it was it was tough. I guess,
(28:24):
if for nothing else, when the Dodgers started batting around,
you kind of knew that Brent, it was okay to
go to bed.
Speaker 3 (28:32):
It was tough, John.
Speaker 9 (28:33):
I mean, I'll tell you that that first game that
kind of made a little interesting, right basis On knocked
a couple of MP scored a couple of runs, ended
up getting meat.
Speaker 3 (28:39):
What ten to five? Yeah, but you know, had a
little bit of activity there.
Speaker 9 (28:43):
We're just we're missing that thirty five forty home run
a game guy, you know, a year guy.
Speaker 7 (28:48):
We just a couple more hitters, a couple more hitters. Well,
we need get a lot more stuff, right, more, a
lot more stuff. But that's exactly right. They need a
lot more stuff when you look at that like that
Dodger team. I mean they just keep keep continuously going.
They're knocking home runs out all that. I mean it.
It was tough to watch last night.
Speaker 3 (29:03):
For sure.
Speaker 7 (29:04):
They did a lot more stuff. I mean Andy Moore
Automotive Group fall out. He's on the call coming up
on Sunday. You know him, I mean for decades, he
has been in your household doing a variety of sports work,
whether it's ESPN and certainly for a number of years
now on Fox. He's been a part of the Indianapolis
five hundred in the past before as well. Chris Myers
(29:24):
has got the call the Raiders of the Colts coming
up on Sunday. He's kind of kind enough to join
us on the Andy Moore Automotive Group hootline.
Speaker 3 (29:30):
Hey, Chris, thank you very much of the time here
in Indy.
Speaker 1 (29:33):
How are you. I'm good, No, my pleasure. Thanks for
having me on. Look forward to it.
Speaker 7 (29:39):
I know that you probably get sick and tired of
talking about this, but if you don't mind it, dulls
me for a moment. You come from the golden era
of catchphrases and when you know ESPN, when everybody was
tuned in. Do you have a favorite of yours? Because
I will say this, and I probably owe you some
cash because of it. I use your stuff still to
(29:59):
this day, not on the air, but to my friends.
I think you're the most popular amongst my friends of
catchphrases from those of the past of ESPN.
Speaker 1 (30:09):
Well, no, feel free to use them. That's why, you know.
And they came up, and they always came up naturally.
Speaker 12 (30:16):
We'd all be in the newsroom there, you know, it'd
be Dan Patrick or Tariko Lindicco and whoever we were,
and yeah, before we go on, we're watching all the
games and somebody would holler out something. So that's kind
of where you never like go on the at least
I didn't go on and say, hey, this will be
a catchphrase, so you use it on there? I think
I true, you know, I could because I care. And
so that deserves a Wow? And that came because we
(30:36):
just kept saying.
Speaker 1 (30:37):
Wow at certain times.
Speaker 12 (30:39):
And then, by the way, I have a book out
called that Deserves a Wow, which talks about Sports Center
and a lot of the great moments in sports and
a little bit about catchphrases and some sports broadcast materials.
So yeah, that you you're not good. That was kind
of a Caddyshack line. Later, I got to hang with
Bill Murray at the s p'son We've Become Friends. He
actually wrote the forward for the book.
Speaker 3 (30:57):
So I don't know that I have a probably that.
Speaker 12 (31:00):
Deserves a while because it's something that you know.
Speaker 1 (31:03):
I just use and we use it in general conversation.
But I you know, I never really thought about it
about that. There's there's a few others. What was your favorite?
Speaker 7 (31:11):
Let me ask you said, I want to tell you, Chris,
I I just used I kid because I carry Yesterday brother.
Speaker 1 (31:20):
Right all the time.
Speaker 12 (31:21):
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, And there's funny stories behind them.
I use crazy go Nuts, which is not really you know,
when things get a little chaotic or spicy. And that
was a Billy Crystal Fernanda, you know, that was one
of and I met him and then interviewed him on
up clothes and I told him, I said, is it
okay to to use that?
Speaker 1 (31:37):
Goes?
Speaker 12 (31:37):
Go ahead, it's feel if it's great to repeat these
things and keep it going. So but I could because
I cared just that that just came from a family
of where you insult and tease each other, and it
kind of would get me off the book. You know
if I said something that crossed the line, and so
you're kind of kidding, but you do care enough to
talk about that with the person.
Speaker 1 (31:53):
So it works.
Speaker 7 (31:55):
That era of sports coverage until further notice, will never
he's seen again. And I view that Chris as the
golden era, because that, yes, to me, in a nutshell,
is what I want in sports coverage. I don't need,
you know, fifteen people on a set yelling at one
another and all this stuff and all.
Speaker 3 (32:14):
These outrageous topics.
Speaker 7 (32:16):
I mean, I know I host a talk show, but
that the golden era of what you guys provided will
always be my favorite, even though we probably will never
see anything like that ever again.
Speaker 12 (32:27):
Yeah, well it's so wide open now, and there's some
advantages to that. I'm not a big fan of debate
TV because I think, you know, at least and I
did talk radio when I started as sports talking, that
happens naturally. I think the problem with whatever the you know,
the panel that is they set up beforehand and you
say this, and I'm gonna make sure we can't agree.
You have to say that, so that bothers me. It's
(32:48):
not as authentic. But no, that era, and that's what
made ESPN Sport.
Speaker 1 (32:52):
It was the only game in town.
Speaker 12 (32:54):
I mean, and now you have you have an MLB
network and an NFL network, and a Tennis channel and
a Goo channel, and obviously you have competing sports networks
at Fox and CBS, and so it's a totally different world.
And the streaming and the internet world changed things, and
so you're right, we'll never see it again. It was
great to be a part of that. I'm really thankful
(33:14):
for the opportunity. I spent a decade there and now
I've been at Fox Sports. At both places. Really, I
kind of hit as they were growing early nineties, at
ESPN up to a two thousand, and then Fox when
they got baseball to go with their football, and then
NASCAR and then in dy car as soccer, et cetera,
et cetera. But it's a good time to be a
sports fan because you have a lot of choices, and
(33:36):
that's I think that's a good thing for the fan
or the viewer or the listener, you know.
Speaker 3 (33:41):
And Chris Myers joins us of Fox.
Speaker 7 (33:43):
He's got the call coming up on Sunday with the
Raiders and the Colts, so we'll get to that. The
Nuts and the bolts in just a second. But here's
what occurs to me about your career. You've done everything.
You to me, you're what and what you've accomplished is
what we all set up to do when we want
to do this. You've done absolutely everything. And Chris, there
(34:05):
have been very few of your contemporaries that have done
that comes to mind right now. Rich Eisen has done
a lot of it as well. I mean play by
play and a lot of the other stuff as well.
But you've done really absolutely everything over the course of
your career. That's incredibly special, and that's what we set
out to do when we begin careers in sports.
Speaker 12 (34:26):
Well, thank you, know, thank you for I've had a
lot of help and a lot of opportunity, and I
work at places where people gave me that chance, and
I respect people that, Hey, I'm a play by play
guy and that's all I want to do, or I'm
an NFL reporter and that's all I want to do.
I in the business started so young as a teenager,
and we got one of my first interviews was Muhammad
(34:47):
Ali and so after that you figure, hey, if I
can handle or hang with that, and then I should
be able to interview anybody. But I am grateful for
the chance that I at least when I got to
Network TV, that I could be a report order, that
I could do play by play, that I could host
a pre show or up close to the interview show
at ESPN. I like the variety, and I like the idea,
(35:09):
you know, of going from one sports season to the next.
I think I'd be bored as a broadcaster because I'm
a fan of those sports. You know, when baseball, when
football ends, you go to spring training, you get to baseball,
and you have auto racing in between, you have the
hockey and the NBA season in college sports as well.
So those are the things that kind of keep me going.
And I can tell you as long as I've been
(35:29):
in the business, it never gets old to me. And
I have you talk about it, you know expression. It's
a corny expression, but I came up with this when
I was doing pre season games and trying to do
more play by play. But every night it's the Super Bowl,
and that's how I try to treat and they even
tease me when I finally got to do Super Bowls
and covered you know, Tom Brady and coming back against
Atlanta or Mahomes winning his first you know, the producer said, hey, Chris,
(35:51):
you always say every night's the super Bowl, and now
you're you're working is so so that's a good thing.
And I mean that it's kind of corny, but at
least it fires me up and everybody around me working.
I try because you got to give your best for that.
Whether it's a game between a couple of teams that
don't have winning records, or you are actually doing a
Super Bowl, you got to treat it that way because
there's people playing it, there's people watching it, and you're
(36:13):
the ones broadcasting it.
Speaker 3 (36:15):
And this is Chris Meyer's at Fox.
Speaker 7 (36:16):
He's got one coming up on Sunday at one o'clock
at Lucas Oil Stadium with the Raiders and the Colts.
Speaker 3 (36:23):
What do you make of this Colts three in one start.
Speaker 7 (36:26):
I thought, even in a loss, there were so many
bone hitted things in Southern California last week that I
thought they legitimized themselves with the best team.
Speaker 3 (36:36):
So far on the schedule.
Speaker 13 (36:38):
What say you yeah?
Speaker 12 (36:40):
And that was the big test, right when you look
at the schedule. They did their part what they were
supposed to do in the first three and you know,
when you're close to Hollywood Holly Weird as some people
call it, when you're playing out in the LaStrange, things happened.
I kind of felt for the Colts in that game.
The Rams are very They're a Super Bowl contender. I
think the Cults are a playoff. I mean it's legitimate
(37:01):
in the sense that the way that they have played
good defense against the run. I know there's some secondary
issues and as we get ready for this game, I
think the magical part is, you know, would the Colts
find a quarterback, especially with a coach like Shane Sikin
who's done such great work with people like Justin Herbert
or Gino Smith before even Jalen Hurts and you know
(37:22):
the Daniel Jones it's working and that's for real. I mean,
I know he may turn it over in spots. You
can't beat him up for what happened in the Ram
game with the interceptions. But you've got Jonathan Taylor, You've
got a good ground game. I mean, the Eagles have
that Saquon Barkley Jalen Hurts thing. They have that working
here and so I think this is, you know, the
division's there for the taking. I think it's going to
be the Colts and the Jags battling for it. And
(37:44):
every year, you know, the numbers as at least four
teams since we've gone to the wildcard format that weren't
in the playoffs last year that get in this year.
And I think the culture one of them. And I
don't care who they play. I looked at their schedule.
They're a nine or ten win team. They got to
beat their team in their division, and especially Jacksonville at
least split with them.
Speaker 1 (38:02):
If they're going to go forward.
Speaker 12 (38:03):
But yeah, this is this is another follow up week,
a game they should win, and I know they've got
to sort some things out on defense. I'm sorry to
hear about Xavion Howard announcing his retirement after being picked
on a couple of games. But in the long run,
at least the Colts know what with what they're dealing with,
and I think that's an important part of their area
their game that they have to correct if they expect
(38:25):
to make the playoffs.
Speaker 7 (38:27):
So, Chris on the Raiders side of things, before I
let you go, what are the Colts dealing with? Geno
Smith looked incredible in the week number one and since then,
it's been certainly more down than up.
Speaker 3 (38:37):
We've known this Raider.
Speaker 7 (38:38):
Team operationally speaking with special teams and Tom.
Speaker 3 (38:41):
McMahon being the leader there normally to be.
Speaker 7 (38:44):
Top notch last weekend at the end that cost him
that game against the Bears. Do the Raiders have any
idea who they are either side of the football right now?
Speaker 1 (38:54):
Yeah, and Gino is struggling.
Speaker 12 (38:55):
I don't think other than Rock Bowers who they're they're
throwing to him later in games, and Pete Carroll said
that's not by design. I guess defenses are taking him
away early. But they're receiving Corge at Kobe Myers, a
veteran coming off a big year but hasn't been real effective.
Got a couple of speedy receivers in Tucker and Thornton
who's a rookie, but not game changers, and so I
(39:17):
think that's where defenses can gang up on gent and
obviously when Gino is forcing it, are trying to.
Speaker 1 (39:23):
Make something happen.
Speaker 12 (39:24):
Yeah, he's had two three interception games, but he's owned
it and he'll be okay with it. And what I
think is interesting about this game is, you know, between
Gino Smith and Daniel Jones and I'll have Mark Sanchez
in the booth working with me. But you've got quarterbacks
who have been in New York right who started out
there and kind of got to run out of New
York and then revived their careers in different places, and now.
Speaker 1 (39:46):
They're doing it again here with you know, Daniel.
Speaker 12 (39:49):
I love the Indiana Jones name, by the way, the nickname.
Speaker 1 (39:52):
I love that. I don't know who came up.
Speaker 12 (39:53):
With it first, but he's gone from Nanny Dives to
Indiana Jones and that's great. And now Gino Smith, who
was great in Seattle, and Pete Carroll.
Speaker 1 (40:00):
Which was the one who said I want.
Speaker 12 (40:01):
Him with the Raiders, and it just hasn't worked out yet,
but I think they'll get it right, especially with Geny
his breakout game.
Speaker 1 (40:08):
He is a game changer.
Speaker 12 (40:09):
He is a star, and he'll help that passing game
once he continues to break tackles.
Speaker 3 (40:14):
It's Chris Myers, He's got the call.
Speaker 7 (40:16):
He and Mark Sanchez on Fox coming up on Sunday
with the Raiders and Nicolets at one o'clock and Chris
is on the Andy Moore Automotive Group pot Line Absolute
pleasure man.
Speaker 3 (40:27):
Hopefully we could catch up again this season.
Speaker 7 (40:29):
I like to have a little bit more time because
that was That's fantastic stuff for me, buddy.
Speaker 3 (40:33):
I appreciate you.
Speaker 12 (40:35):
Yeah, no, Andy, anytime you called me doesn't have to
be a game. We're calling an indy. The crowd will
be wild, and I appreciate you having me on. I
really look forward to it. So thanks for your time.
Speaker 7 (40:44):
You got Chris Myers on the Andy Moore Automotive Group
pot line. That's a guy that has done absolutely everything.
Did you notice right there, James, did you notice that
the end he knows from about to burn it up
right here? J pop on here really quick and then
I'll take a break. I know we're a little bit over.
(41:04):
Oh I'm sorry. He's on the phone right now. So
so here's what happens. I want to make sure that
Andy Moore be a GMC or Andy Moore Automotive Group
gets you know what they're looking for here, So I
say Andy Moore Automotive Group hootline. Oftentimes guests that are
new to the show believe that's me, so they think
(41:25):
that this show was hosted by Andy Moore. So I
was thinking, one of these days, maybe we should just
have Andy Moore host this show. That's what I'm thinking.
Did you notice that at the tail end? I think
he referenced me, and it's the no mistake out of him.
But that's just the way I mentioned Andy Moore Automotive
Group so much. Sometimes guests new to the show, I
(41:47):
think that's me. I did not catch it, and he said,
I think he said Andy. But I've thought about this,
he said, And I'm pretty sure he said Andy.
Speaker 3 (41:57):
But that's okay. I've thought about this before.
Speaker 7 (41:59):
I think I need have Andy Moore and my friend
Eric Wilson or anybody out there that is close to
Andy Moore make sure you mentioned this to him.
Speaker 3 (42:07):
I think he used to host the show. One of
these days. That'd be great.
Speaker 7 (42:09):
Andy Moore Automotive Group, podline, Andy Moore, buy GMC and
Fisher's And here's Andy Moore and here I am.
Speaker 1 (42:15):
Yeah.
Speaker 7 (42:15):
Here he is right, and he can do I mean,
I know he's a big I you guys, so we
can maybe do an I You segment or two.
Speaker 3 (42:20):
Or something like that. Well, I tell you, I tell
you what, Andy, You've done a great job. Thank you
very much. But I love that conversation. He's great to
Chris Myers.
Speaker 7 (42:29):
Was he was it back when ESPN was going through
that golden arap sports and that was my our goal.
Speaker 3 (42:36):
Narra too right.
Speaker 9 (42:37):
I mean, let's just getting down of high school in
college in the early nineties and ESPN was it.
Speaker 7 (42:42):
It was any bermant Myers. I mean, the whole whole guy,
the whole gang back there. So good stuff right there.
Speaker 3 (42:47):
Man, All right, So we got Sleeterer and went logan
to join us coming up. But mister Sleeterer's going to
join us.
Speaker 9 (42:51):
Mister Whitlow's got he's got some prior engagements, so.
Speaker 3 (42:54):
He's gone, well, he doesn't look like he's engaged whatsoever.
Speaker 9 (42:57):
All he's engaging in a lot of behind the scenes
stuff right there.
Speaker 7 (43:00):
So I said, we'll get mister Schleeter here, talk a
little bit about the Sleader got a great new addition.
Speaker 9 (43:06):
I just went over took a peek out a minute ago.
It's going to be exciting one to hear about that.
And and mister Sleeper's got some good sports knowledge. I'm
looking forward to hearing what he's got. We'll sure as
hell thinks he does. I'm little for damn sure we'll
be on the other side.
Speaker 7 (43:18):
Brent rejoins, Matt Sleeeder's gonna be here, Parks Plays Pop
and Fisher's, and there's our Week five picks with large
City Bourbon locks, Luno Zuwel the key the shots. We'd
love to see you here. We've got the samples flowing,
we got free gear to give away. We'd love to
see it. Ninety three five one oh seven five The Fan.
Speaker 4 (43:37):
The Ride with JMV.
Speaker 14 (43:39):
Not really, I filled it on my leg. Come on,
I don't want to see it.
Speaker 4 (43:44):
Ninety three five and one oh seven five. The Fan.
Speaker 7 (43:49):
Podcast with Chris Smyers of Fox one o seven five.
Thefan dot Com Devsey on site engineer James. The back
of the studio, I'm John brent Is here samples flow,
free gear and Parks Place pub the location. Sleeder is
on the inbound. I guess Whitlow's not doing it, but
(44:10):
Sleeder is here. We'll do these picks sweek number five,
eleven and five. I've been eleven and five in Week one,
five and eleven in Week two, eleven and five in
Week three, and eleven and five and week four, So
let's go ahead and dismiss the fact that I can't
pick any games because we are leading, and I guess
(44:32):
it was funny, gut Shot. Greg said something last week
and he said, do you think that anybody listens to
what you do as advice?
Speaker 1 (44:39):
Well?
Speaker 7 (44:40):
I think they listen, but I don't know if they
take that advice. But here's what's funny, Gutshot. Had you
taken that advice and put some money to it, you'd
be making some money right now. The money maker is right.
Here is what we're doing week five. And those are
famous last words. So clearly I'm going to go five
and eleven this week because I'm calling my shot. Week
(45:00):
five coming up starts with the Niners and the Rams
coming up later off tonight. The Raiders and the Colts
seven point favorites are the Colts at home. We'll go
over that again. The left tackle situation for the Raiders
is not good. The only thing I believe that the
Raiders are going to be capable of hanging and making
it interesting is if the Colts allow Max Crossby to
(45:25):
wreck it. That's the only thing that concerns me right there. Hey, Chris,
if you're on hold, we'll get to you coming up.
Speaker 3 (45:33):
On the other side as well.
Speaker 7 (45:34):
We have our Week five large city bourbon locks and
lunozuelt Ta kila shots.
Speaker 1 (45:37):
You know this to be true.
Speaker 7 (45:39):
The spreadability is back Central Indiana for the football season.
Speaker 3 (45:43):
And for the fall of twenty twenty five. That's spreadability.
Speaker 7 (45:46):
Win Shulers cheese, this original sharp cheddar, bacon and seddar
and jalapeno pepper. It is so good on crackers, It
is so good on chips, for vegetables. You can even
put that on burgers. If you're like me, you can
slap it on a turkey. That would be outstanding to
the spreadability of wind Shoolers. Whether you're having a tailgate party,
(46:06):
a backyard party, or you're just simply put watching a
little MLB playoffs and you're snacking on the couch.
Speaker 3 (46:13):
The spreadability of wind Shoolers.
Speaker 7 (46:15):
You can find it today and some of your grocer's
favorites like Meyer, like Gordon's Food Service. And if you
do find it, make sure you send me a picture
at jamb ten seventy so we can let everybody know
about the spreadability of win Shulers.
Speaker 4 (46:28):
Jesus the Ride with JMV ninety three five and one
oh seven five The Fan.
Speaker 3 (46:43):
Oh yes.
Speaker 1 (46:50):
Yeah.
Speaker 3 (46:50):
As far as Hairvan song go. This may be the
best one.
Speaker 7 (46:55):
What did Sherry Pye on the All Request Saturday Night
Jammy takeoff? It's me one oh five point seven, the
late great Jenny Lane. Hey, I want to give a
shout out too.
Speaker 3 (47:04):
This is not Cherry.
Speaker 7 (47:05):
This is Kentucky Sider, Evan Williams, Kentucky Sider.
Speaker 3 (47:10):
Right here. Here's what happens.
Speaker 7 (47:12):
I send out the bat signal to Brent Halverson a
little bit earlier today. I said, hey, man, do you
have any of that Kentucky Sider stuff? And he goes, yeah,
I got some there. It is right here, President accounted
for Parks Place Pub for me too. Hey, Triple A
membership alounds me a YouTube line. Become a Triple A
member today. That is a great idea. Because fall break
(47:33):
is coming up. You're going to go someplace because now
in fall break it takes the place of end service days.
We used to have two days back in the day.
Now you guys have like a week or two for
fall breaks. You're going to go someplace. Make sure you're
a Triple A member. They have your back wherever you
go on fall break. Parks Place Pub, that's our location.
(47:54):
The Tigers Upper run one nothing against the Guardian as
they played decisive Game number three in Cleveland and the
AL wild Card, the Tigers a bottom of the third inning,
one run advantage, one nothing. We'll keep track of that too,
Padres and Cobb decisive Game three in the NL, and
(48:17):
then back to the American League later on tonight with
the Red Sox and the Yankees, with another decisive game
number three in the Bronx coming up later on this
evening Larcity Bourbon lockx Lunezu at the Kiva Shots. Week
number five of the NFL is here. Bret Holverson rejoins,
and we got a very special friend right here. We
do to give a shout out to our special friend
(48:38):
because he invited me on a trip I could not
attend last week. It was a bus trip, but I
heard really good things about going to Wrigley with you
and the bus people, especially Bob Kravitz. I can always
tell how good of a tom Bob Kravitz is having.
When Bob Kravitz's eyes aren't open like Forrest Gump and pictures,
(48:58):
he looked like Forrest Gump and every picture I knew
it was a good weekend.
Speaker 1 (49:02):
He was having.
Speaker 5 (49:03):
That was a good weekend.
Speaker 3 (49:04):
Yeah, thanks for the invite, though, brother, I appreciate that.
How's things going here?
Speaker 1 (49:07):
Great?
Speaker 3 (49:08):
Great?
Speaker 5 (49:08):
I mean obviously, good good weather helps, football helps. So
just happy to be.
Speaker 1 (49:14):
You know, so.
Speaker 3 (49:14):
Witlow's not picking any games? No, what we got going
on over there?
Speaker 1 (49:19):
Him?
Speaker 5 (49:20):
Yeah, working work. Somebody's got a whole hold on to
Ford a little bit here.
Speaker 3 (49:25):
You guys are going to make an addition here, I
guess we are.
Speaker 1 (49:27):
Yeah.
Speaker 3 (49:28):
I had the pleasure of taking a little tour over
there early. That looks really good man.
Speaker 5 (49:32):
Thank you A month away right?
Speaker 1 (49:33):
Yeah?
Speaker 5 (49:33):
Probably? Well, yes, I said, what am I allowed to say?
When I get on there? Do not give an opening.
Speaker 3 (49:41):
Only instruction?
Speaker 5 (49:43):
No, we I would say end of October sometime we'll
be opening. We'll be knocking through the wall here and
uh you'll be able to It'll be a twenty one
and over lounge, a little higher end, little higher end
drink menu. Oh cool cocktails, so it'd be cool. We'll
still have the kind of the sports our theme, but
just a little bit more casual and twenty one and over.
(50:05):
You know, we love having kids and family friendly and
all that, but there's there's a time and a place
for it. And you know, if anybody ever wants to
get away from that. We want to be able to
have that as well.
Speaker 9 (50:14):
So well, it just might have to know a few
things for your hiring cocktails. If you need any suggestions,
just let me know. We can help you out with that.
Speaker 5 (50:20):
I think.
Speaker 7 (50:20):
Yeah, I think Brent's got you cover back on that
level right there with the higher end stuff.
Speaker 3 (50:24):
What else is going on?
Speaker 7 (50:26):
No?
Speaker 3 (50:26):
Did I did? I? And I know you're a part
of the Ignite the volleyball team.
Speaker 7 (50:32):
Is there a film festival documentary coming out regarded the
Ignite that I'm aware of?
Speaker 1 (50:37):
Yeah?
Speaker 5 (50:37):
Next week, next weekend, that's what I thought. Yeah, they
put together a documentary on the success of the first
season and everything. It was just obviously a great ride.
Speaker 3 (50:46):
Yeah, and great.
Speaker 5 (50:47):
Documentary coming out. I actually officiating a wedding in Illinois
that weekend, so I'm not going to be here to
see it.
Speaker 3 (50:53):
But yeah, you officiate weddings too, do at all. You've
got ninety four hats, you can do that in southern Illinois.
Speaker 7 (51:00):
Oh, you get to say, yeah, marry anybody I feel
like get married. Don't think oh go ahead marry yeah,
go ahead. Yeah, I'm in southern Illinois. Let's do it,
that's right. Yeah, but no, that's pretty cool though, And
i'd heard about that, I think earlier the week that
there was going to be a documentary making his debut.
Speaker 5 (51:17):
Yea this week, So you want to watch it, I'll
get you a ticket.
Speaker 3 (51:19):
Pretty good gold out. Yeah, this one heard.
Speaker 5 (51:22):
Where is it downtown like Bottleworks area?
Speaker 1 (51:25):
Yeah?
Speaker 3 (51:25):
That's a part of the Heartland Film Festival?
Speaker 7 (51:27):
Is it not too?
Speaker 1 (51:28):
That's awesome?
Speaker 3 (51:29):
So well brought. How did the year go for.
Speaker 5 (51:31):
Everybody involved Ignite?
Speaker 1 (51:32):
Yeah?
Speaker 5 (51:33):
Went to the championship?
Speaker 7 (51:34):
And I mean just in general terms of be you know,
we saw what they did on the floor, which was awesome,
but just in general terms, how did everything go with
the team itself?
Speaker 5 (51:42):
I mean I feel like a huge success. I mean,
if you talk about where we wanted to be as
an organization versus where we ended up, I think we
exceeded all expectations. That's awesome, I think not I think
the community, just Indianapolis community sports community, Uh, supporting women's sports, yeah,
is just I think it blew everybody away. And you know,
(52:03):
our new coach that we had just hired a couple
months ago. I read an article I think it was
yesterday she went up to Purdue and watched Purdue and
she just was blown away by the amount of support
for women's volleyball in the state of Indiana. And that's
exciting to hear somebody come in new and say, Wow,
this is gonna be a special place for volleyball for
a long time.
Speaker 3 (52:24):
Pretty cool, it is no doubt about that.
Speaker 7 (52:26):
That's mess leader of park Place Pub, our location in today,
largity bourbon locks and the Luno zuol tequil shots. My
good friend DJ Skid wants to know if you're going
to have DJs posted up in this new section here
at parks Place Pub.
Speaker 5 (52:39):
We're not going to do music or anything over there.
Traditionally that's going to be the place to go to
get away from got chess. You know, we have big
bands and stuff in here. That'll still be the place
that people can come and enjoy cocktail after dinner or
whatnot and and kind of get away from it.
Speaker 3 (52:52):
So gotcha.
Speaker 8 (52:53):
Yeah.
Speaker 3 (52:53):
I saw a couple of really good write ups too
about the town of Fishers.
Speaker 9 (52:56):
I mean, they're really behind you, guys, that really low
what you We'll have what you've done here and promoted out.
Speaker 3 (53:00):
You just got to love to see that.
Speaker 9 (53:02):
So you're bringing another great product to beautiful Fishers, Indiana.
Speaker 5 (53:05):
Man, yeah, I appreciate that. I mean a lot of
credit goes out to the community for supporting it. I
mean that's one thing you'll hear about people from outside
the community. We'll talk about how Fishers shows up to
support local businesses and sports and just everything in the
community related.
Speaker 3 (53:20):
This is a helaciously awesome area right here. It just
really is. Matt, Thank you you guys ready to pick
some games?
Speaker 7 (53:26):
Absolutely s leaders here, Holverson here, I'm jamb by the way,
shout out to Sean Collinsworth. Are you the only bro
that's showing up? We got more bro? Is Smiley showing
up here? We're gonna make fun of his ass when
he gets here.
Speaker 3 (53:40):
I can't wait to do that. We can't wait.
Speaker 7 (53:42):
Parks Place Pub we are in Fisher's largely bourbon locks.
Luna is doing with the Kila shots. James to the
band are Week five selections start right now? And remember
how damn good I've been right through out the first
four weeks. Niners and Rams later off to night. The
Rams beat the Colts last week. You know all that
to be true? The Niners coming off a loss at
(54:03):
home to the Jaguars problematic for the Niners. No brock
Purty later on tonight. So you got the Rams or
eight and a half point favorites. I think Stafford Nkua
and that offense is going to continue to home bury
the eight and a half and give me the Rams
by double figures on this Thursday night game.
Speaker 3 (54:23):
Yeah.
Speaker 9 (54:23):
I'm with you on that too, John. I mean, I
don't like these super big numbers. But again, we've seen
what this team has done. They're sticking around and what
you just mentioned that Pooka Nakua. He leads all the receivers.
Right now, You've got DeVante Adams back there, You've got
Kyrin Williams, Matt, Stafford's looking good. I mean, they've really
got it going on. San Francisco is just too banged up.
I think here, and I think you're right. I think
this is a big number. I think they win by
(54:45):
double ditch. I'm gonna say twenty eight to seventeen Rams
means they cover the eight and a half.
Speaker 5 (54:49):
Yeah, this is a big, big game obviously for both
teams of forty nine ers. If they want to hang
in this division, they got to have a game like this.
They're so banged up it's really hard to get a
read on it. You know who the third stream quarterback is.
If something happens to Mac Jones, Adrian Martinez, remember that
name from Oriskay. What if he were to come in tonight?
(55:10):
Mac Jones is banged up, he's got a bump me
so hard to say what's gonna happen. But the Rams
don't need to cover a spread. The Rams got to
win this game, super important, so I don't think McVeigh
tries to do too much. I'm going to take the
forty nine ers.
Speaker 3 (55:23):
On this one, all right.
Speaker 7 (55:24):
Largely Bourbon Locks, Lunas, Wilt, the Keevi, the shots in London,
the Vikings and the Browns. I'm assuming that the Vikings
just stayed in Europe. They were in Dublin last week
in London this week. Carson Wentz was banged up, as
we witnessed meantime. The Browns with Miles Garrett but also
with the rookie quarterbacks starting and Dylan Gabriel. This one's
(55:46):
an odd when the Vikings a four and a half
point favorites. I do like the Browns defense against Minnesota
and Wentz, but the whole rookie quarterback situation, and I
think maybe the fact that the Vikings stayed in Europe,
maybe they're going to be more active. Did bury that
four and a half and give me the Vikings in London?
Brett Hoolverson, you know.
Speaker 9 (56:05):
Those are all great points, John, I mean, i'd look
at this game. I want you to touch this game.
There's just too many unknowns there.
Speaker 7 (56:11):
But what you did mention there, and I think you're
gonna see a little bit more Viking fans over there,
But I don't know.
Speaker 1 (56:18):
I want to go ahead.
Speaker 9 (56:18):
I like the points here. I think it's a field
goal game. Give me the Cleveland Browns. I'll take this
four and a half points.
Speaker 3 (56:23):
Slater, what are you get?
Speaker 5 (56:25):
You're looking at a rookie quarterback against that Bryan Flores
defense is going to be extremely tough on him. He's
never seen anything like what he's going to see this weekend.
But you've got Carson Wentz behind an awful offensive line
against a really tough front four for the Browns. So
I'm with Hovey. Give me the points here three and
a half. One other note on that, Dylan Gabriel's twenty
(56:48):
five to one to win Offensive Rookie of the Year.
I wait till after this game because I don't think
he'll look good against this defense. But I bet you
can get a better number even after this game for
him to win offensive roots stat there.
Speaker 7 (56:59):
I like that Meisty Burber locks lunas. You don't have
to give it shots a week five. So Lamar Jackson problematic,
right there?
Speaker 1 (57:08):
Is it not?
Speaker 7 (57:09):
You know, the Ravens are four to nine without Jackson
going all the way back to twenty nineteen. I don't
want the Texans at all. I think they look terrible.
But if there's no Jackson, there's zero way I can
go with any Ravens, even the way that they've looked.
So in this case, I think it would be a
one and a half point favored. Are the Texans on
(57:30):
the road, I'll have to go ahead and take that number.
Give me the Texans. I don't feel comfortable in it
because I think they suck. But man, the Ravens are
an absolute mess right now for a variety of reasons,
including the win loss record.
Speaker 9 (57:44):
Yeah, I'm with you too here, John, I just don't know.
I mean Coop of Rush. You know, Lamar Jackson is
a game changer. Although they haven't been playing well. Houston
has looked horrid the first couple of games, but they did,
you know, they did come back. But I really like
watching the points move here, right, I mean, we knew
how much of a move it moved seven points from
(58:04):
Lamar's announce going to be an out. I'm gonna go
ahead and take the Houston Texans as well. I think
this is going to be I mean, it's probably a
field goal game. Give me Houston Texans. They went at
twenty three twenty, they cover one and a half.
Speaker 5 (58:18):
It's kind of like one of those deals where you
saw the Chiefs last week as underdogs at home. You
don't get Chiefs underdogs at home very often. You don't
get Ravens underdogs at home very often either. With John
Harbaugh and I get what he means to the line
and everything. I mean, I think the total line movement
on this was eleven points. Well, I think I opened
at nine and a half and now it's swung the
(58:38):
other way. I mean, it's a huge movement. Regardless. I
can't remember the last time one guy meant that much
to point spread. But this is do or die for
the Ravens. They're still the favorite to win the AFC North.
If they're going to do it, they got to win
this game. So give me a point and a half
and I'll take the Ravens.
Speaker 7 (58:54):
So I largely Barba lockx Lunos do with the kid
of shots man Tyreek kill.
Speaker 3 (58:58):
That was g l y on Monday night.
Speaker 7 (59:03):
Dolphins are one and a half point favorites on the
road at Carolina. I don't know how impactful it's gonna
be because Carolina sucks so bad, but I will go
ahead and take that point and a half and give
me Carolina if for nothing else, just at home, I
guess I don't know why Miami is probably gonna win.
Speaker 3 (59:20):
That's probably gonna screw me over. This is tough here,
I mean it. I mean these first four games, how
bang up they are?
Speaker 9 (59:28):
Where these numbers are sitting, what's going on where they're playing,
what they're doing? One of those games here too, Miami
one and a half at Carolina? What Carolina panther team
are you gonna get? Bryce Young can look great at
times and he can look absolutely horrible times. And you know, man,
I don't know, I'm gonna go ahead and take give
me Miami Dolphins.
Speaker 3 (59:46):
You sound as questionable I am. Again, I won't play
this game at all.
Speaker 7 (59:51):
I wouldn't be playing this or the Ravens game yet,
and I'm not going to.
Speaker 3 (59:55):
But I mean, just Miami.
Speaker 9 (59:57):
You know, coming off of a big win, they needed
one and the big break into mister Tyreek Hill's leg
and everything else that snapped along there. I think you
can see Jayleen Wattle step up and they get Dylan Waller,
Darren Waller who came in pretty hot last week. I'm
gonna write two again, give me Miami late the one
and a half later.
Speaker 5 (01:00:14):
I love John your analysis on the Panthers, as the
Panthers suck so bad, I'll do you one better. I
think the Dolphins sucked worse, and here on the road,
so yeah, I'm gonna take the Panthers at home here
and the Sharps are all over Carolina.
Speaker 3 (01:00:27):
So all right, Giants to the Saints.
Speaker 7 (01:00:29):
This is weird, right because Jackson Dart a little enthusiasm
with that went over the chargers of the rookie quarterback
for the Giants. You got that, you know you would
look their match up with the Saints, And speaking of suck,
the Saints suck as well, but they did cover against
Buffalo and Buffalo and the loss last week. They're a
point and I had favorites. Here's what I think about
(01:00:51):
a rookie quarterback like Jackson Dart. I think once you
get a week's worth of film, you're gonna be able
to analyze that and go at him better. So I'm
going to go ahead, lay that point and a half
and give me the Saints to win this thing against
the Giants at home this weekend.
Speaker 9 (01:01:06):
Rent, you know this one is gonna go out to
Pat Powers because I told Pat Powers when Jackson Dark
got in, they were gonna change the dynamics of this
New York Football Giant team. And he didn't look great,
but he came out hot him in Camp Scataboo. I
mean they got some young blood, some young life there.
You know this again, another game that is absolutely horrible.
(01:01:27):
I don't really know that I'm gonna bet this either
another point in a half game. It's gonna be tough.
I mean, New Orleans is hung in there quite a
bit with people. I just don't I'm gonna go ahead
for my boy, Pat Powers, give me the New York
Football Giants and Jackson Dark to.
Speaker 3 (01:01:39):
Go to and oher Slater.
Speaker 5 (01:01:42):
I'll give you one stat here. Rookie quarterbacks to your point,
John making their second start just exactly what you're saving
with saying with film when they're on the road in
their second start, they're thirteen and thirty four straight up.
So I think the desperate Saints here pull off a
win and two well.
Speaker 7 (01:02:01):
At they don't win, but they I mean, you know
they have, they have been close. I guess within with
the points rain they weren't buff I guess I'm going
off the Buffalo game last week. It's more so than
anything else, the rookie quarterback after a week.
Speaker 3 (01:02:16):
Everybody's thrilled.
Speaker 1 (01:02:18):
Man.
Speaker 7 (01:02:18):
Normally, as you mentioned that, stat wise, things go on
the toilet yep. Largely barbar locks lunezult to kill the shots.
Cowboys and the Jets. Man, what in this world on
Sunday night football we stay up until twelve fifteen for
a tie. Oh it's horrible.
Speaker 3 (01:02:32):
It's a lot for that. But I'll tell you what.
Speaker 7 (01:02:34):
Cowboys look do it offensively two and a half point
favorites on the road with the Jets. I'm just gonna
do it because how they looked offensively. Going to lay
that number. Give me the Cowboys on the road, Brent.
Speaker 3 (01:02:43):
Yeah, that game was It's absolutely horrible to watch.
Speaker 9 (01:02:45):
I was pretty big on the money line of the Packers,
so I was okay with the tie. It's you know,
the way that it was, just back and forth. The
defenses just looked horrible. The Jets, the owing four Jets.
I mean, just it's hard to put a finger on
this team here too, justin fields. He looks good though,
when he's out there and about and he's doing some things,
but they've just come up short.
Speaker 3 (01:03:04):
He's back. I'm gonna go ahead and go opposite here.
Speaker 9 (01:03:07):
Give you the New York Football Jets plus two and
a half to get the win at home.
Speaker 3 (01:03:12):
What do you guys later?
Speaker 5 (01:03:13):
Just what you said, John, The public's thinking about what
they saw on Monday night, right or the Sunday night
Cowboys did look good against who a lot of people
consider to be a Super Bowl contender. So now all
of a sudden, the Cowboys are, what one of the
better teams in football. I don't think so Jets desperate
for a win here. I think it's a bi low
(01:03:33):
cell high type deal. Jets plus two and a half.
Speaker 7 (01:03:35):
I think this one's easy the Eagles three and a
half point favorites at home against the Broncos. Hey, don't
get lost in the whole soap opera with the Broncos
looking good against the Bengals. That was more so about
the Bengals just being awful than it was the Broncos,
certainly on Monday Night.
Speaker 3 (01:03:50):
Now.
Speaker 7 (01:03:50):
I like bo Knicks, I do, but I think this
is going to be different for the Broncos. They get
three and a half points, but lay that three and
a half and give me the Eagles at home. I
think that this is going I think that they may
end up wanting this by double figures. I may be wrong,
but I'm going to pick the Eagles big brand of
this game.
Speaker 9 (01:04:08):
Yeah, you know this is gonna be my larcening lock
of the week here, John, I think you know kind
of what we're gonna go along the lines that you
just said here. I think Philadelphia late in the three
and a half, I would always buy that half point
to get it down to three. However, I think they
come out. I do think they went close to double digits.
Thirty to twenty Eagles.
Speaker 5 (01:04:27):
Later doesn't have to feel like a leak or so
not so fast, My friend, yea, But I mean, remember
it was two weeks ago the Rams were going to Philly.
What were the Rams? Three and a half point dogs?
This feels a lot like that Broncos going. I'm not
comparing the Broncos to the Rams, but it feels like
that kind of setup. And the Rams had the Eagles
exactly where they wanted them. Eagles aren't hitting on all
(01:04:48):
cylinders yet, I'm going to take the points here and
three and a half with the Broncos.
Speaker 3 (01:04:52):
All right, guys, let's go to the Titans on the Cardinals.
Speaker 7 (01:04:54):
I think one of the better quotes of the weekend
was cam Ward the rookie quarterback of the Titans, talk
about his team quote.
Speaker 5 (01:05:01):
We ass.
Speaker 7 (01:05:03):
They were ass that whole game was asked. There's no
doubt about that. Titans on the road to the Cardinals.
Cardinals in here in Indy coming up next week, seven
and a half point favorites at home Glendale, Arizona. It's
not like they've been tripping the light fantastic offensively either.
Between Kyler Murray and Marvin Harrison Junior. They're not as
good offensively at all as to what we thought. So
(01:05:24):
here's what I want you to do. Here at least
on this weekend with the Titans in town, lay the
seven and a half. That's a big number for a
team that scuffles, oftentimes offensively.
Speaker 3 (01:05:33):
Giving me the Cardinals lay that number at home, Brint.
Speaker 9 (01:05:37):
Yeah, again, another tough game. I hate that seven and
a half line, But I think I'm with you on that.
I mean, these Titans, they're just they're struggling. They're not good.
I thought Calvin Ridley would be a huge asset to
the getting them doing something. He just has not done
much at all for him. They're struggling all the way
around every side of the ball. Give me the Arizona
Cardinals lay the seven and a half by the half point.
Speaker 5 (01:05:58):
What do you guys, Sleader, when we were talking about
the Panthers and Dolphins, you didn't think it could get
any worse. Titans are actually worse than that. But I'll
say this, anytime I can fade Kyler Murray favored by
more than a touchdown, I'm gonna fade Kyler Murray by
more than a touchdown. So give me the Titans here.
Hold your nose.
Speaker 7 (01:06:13):
It's it's not good. Largely, Brother locks. Luna's ult tequila
shots speaking are not pretty. The late game situations when
the Buccaneers no Mike Evans, that's never any good for them.
We know that to be true. On the road in Seattle,
I think that's gonna be magnified. So let me put
not just last week, but just in general, the Buccaneers
aren't good without Mike Evans, and I think that's gonna
(01:06:33):
play a significant role here. Three and a half point
favorites the Seahawks at home. I think that's an easy
number on an easy call. Lay it and give me
the Seahawks.
Speaker 3 (01:06:41):
Brant, Yeah, no, tough game, and you're right.
Speaker 9 (01:06:44):
I mean there's a lot of the Mike Evans is
a big piece there, but they got they got some
good young blood out there, They got some good action.
Baker Mayfield is He's that guy that's going to be
in it to the game, into the game, So I
kind of feel that's going to come into play here.
I think this might be a field goal game. I
think it's gonna a little closer than think. Gotta the total.
The game's forty four and a half. Seattle's got a
great defense, Bucks are gonna be fighting through it. Giv
(01:07:07):
me a I'm gonna thanks Seattle wins the game. I
think Tampa Bay covers. Give me Tampa plus three and
a half.
Speaker 3 (01:07:11):
What do you got over those leader?
Speaker 5 (01:07:12):
I don't think Bucky Irving practice today, but Baker did,
which would be huge. This feels to me like I
can just picture it with ninety seconds to go, Baker's
driving right, and they're either going to win it at
the last second or lose it at the last second.
And this one's gonna be close though. I tell you
what I like more is the under forty four and
a half. So give me the Bucks plus three and
(01:07:33):
a half. But I also like the under here.
Speaker 7 (01:07:35):
All right, So the Lions and the Bengals, Yeah, Jake Brown,
I think when he first got in there against the Vikings, Okay,
last week we saw against the Broncos, they took full
advantage of him under center. Again with the Lions, that's
exactly what the Lions are gonna do. Are simply put,
They're gonna run this thing up to the degree of
like thirty four to seventeen, ten and a half point
(01:07:57):
favorites on the road in Cincinnati.
Speaker 12 (01:07:59):
It's a big fat road team number right here. But
lay that thing and give me the Lions they will
run that up with Dan Campbell coming up this weekend.
Speaker 7 (01:08:08):
Brent Well, we keep saying you think you can't get worse, Well,
look at these Cincinnati Bengals, and you know, not only
Joe Burrow being out is it's just a huge, huge loss.
Speaker 3 (01:08:19):
As we all know. Those receivers are struggling. You got
Jamar Chase t Higgins.
Speaker 9 (01:08:22):
They can't even get them the ball until they make
a change at quarterback, which I've heard a lot of
talk about Janius Winston possibly something. They need to do
something there. But you still don't have an offensive line.
You still gotta protect anybody back there.
Speaker 3 (01:08:34):
That Detroit team's starting to cook with some gas right now.
This is too big.
Speaker 9 (01:08:38):
I don't like taking these big numbers, but I'm going
to Detroit Lions on the road.
Speaker 3 (01:08:42):
Big lay the ten and a half thirty two seventeen.
What do you got over there, Slider, I got two
stats for you.
Speaker 5 (01:08:48):
They'll both make you sick. Zach Taylor in the first
three months of the season in his career without Joe Burrow,
he's zero to sixteen. It's awful. They're probably gonna lose
this game. We can all agree on that. But listen
to this big home dogs touchdown or more first nine
weeks of the season twenty two oh and two over
(01:09:12):
the last four years. Wow, give me the points at
home Bengals plus ten and a half.
Speaker 7 (01:09:16):
Gotcha runs down largely Breba Lockx, Lunzilla, te Keili shots,
Jadon Daniels, back right, Momo, Marcus Mariota.
Speaker 3 (01:09:23):
The Chargers I think most significant here.
Speaker 7 (01:09:26):
They lose cross country with the Giants last week, massively disappointed.
They lose the left tackle Joe Alt for the season.
That is going to be incredibly problematic here. So the
Chargers are two and a half point favorites at home
in southern California. Give me that two and a half
and give me the Commanders. And I know that Terry
McLaurin is still out there in the question mark, but
(01:09:47):
give me the Commanders this weekend.
Speaker 3 (01:09:49):
Brent again, another game. It's gonna be close, gonna be tight.
Speaker 7 (01:09:53):
I think I'm looking for the Chargers the bounce back
though at home. I mean, look, look, if scary Terry's out.
Speaker 3 (01:10:00):
That's going to be better for the whole larger tackles problem.
Speaker 9 (01:10:04):
But hey, you know what, They're going to bounce back
again like Schleeterer said, people look at what they saw
the week before too. I think you're going to see
a whole different scheme of things here for mister Harbaugh,
I'll lay the two and a half, give me the
super Chargers at home so later.
Speaker 5 (01:10:16):
Joe Alt's not the only tackle out. They've got two
first round pick tackles that are out this week. And
I mean that that screws up everybody's futures bet that
they had on the Chargers. So and here's the thing.
They can't protect Herbert right now. Herbert is walking down
that Andrew Luck path right now because they can't protect
this guy under pressure the last three peet, you're right
(01:10:36):
under pressure the last three weeks. He's completing thirty six
percent of his passes. It's not going to get any
better this week, and Jayden Daniels is going to be
able to run the ball. Commanders getting two and a
half is my favorite pick of the weekend.
Speaker 7 (01:10:48):
Marslee Barba locks lenoze tequila shots some about the Patriots
and Drake May last week. This is going to be
a gauge game all the road against Buffalo. Here's the
thing that stands out to me. The Bulls just haven't
covered this season, didn't cover against the Saints at home
last week. Eight and a half point favorites at home.
I think Drake May at the very least, maybe not
the level we witnessed last week, but pretty decent for
(01:11:08):
Drake May. I'm gonna go ahead and take that eight
and a half and give me the Patriots on the road.
Speaker 3 (01:11:13):
Brett Holverson, Yeah, this is a big number for those
Bills that are covering. They're not cover home.
Speaker 9 (01:11:18):
They're gonna find a way to win their four to
Oh they're looking really good the Patriots. So they bounced
back pretty heavily last week when they played the lowly Panthers.
Speaker 3 (01:11:25):
They won forty two to thirteen.
Speaker 9 (01:11:27):
I think this is gonna be within that eight and
a half, though, I think it's probably Buffalo by six
seven sixt' seven. Give me the give me the Patriots
as well plus the eight and a half.
Speaker 5 (01:11:36):
Yeah, I'm taking Patriots eight and a half only because
it's a division game. Patriots are okay. Bills just need
to keep winning, that's it.
Speaker 7 (01:11:44):
Chiefs got on the offensive track last week. Javier Warther
was back. They did look like a different team against
the Ravens. Jaguars got that win in Santa Clara over
saying friends, so something has to give on the road
in Jacksonville, Man, I like what I witnessed offense from
the Chiefs. I think they sustained three and a half
point favorites on the road. Hey, that bad boy Brent,
(01:12:06):
give me case against Jacksonville.
Speaker 3 (01:12:10):
They did look good. They looked a lot better. They
started off ugly. They got Save You Worthy back.
Speaker 9 (01:12:14):
I mean they're gonna be there're a couple of weeks
out from getting Rushy Rice back to That's gonna be
big for him. But I'm looking for Jacksonville at home.
I'm gonna take these points plus three and a half.
Give me the Jaguars two covers later.
Speaker 5 (01:12:25):
Yeah, last week, Chiefs were set up in a perfect situation,
right you're you got the Ravens coming in. Yes, you're
an underdog, Patrick Mahomes at home as an underdog. Of
course they were gonna look good last week. Public remembers
that same thing. All in money coming in on the
Chiefs right now because of what they saw last week.
I like Cohen, I like Whatddigs doing, William Comb's doing
in Jacksonville. You give me three and a half points.
(01:12:46):
I'm gonna take it.
Speaker 3 (01:12:47):
Colts are three and one on the season. At one
o'clock to start nine am.
Speaker 7 (01:12:51):
Bullseye Events sent on the ride to kickoff, then to
touchdowntown ten until noon. We got your cover with the
Cole Spre game huddle here on ninety three five seven
five the fan Week number five come up on Sunday.
Speaker 3 (01:13:01):
The Coltal three and one.
Speaker 7 (01:13:02):
Disappointing the way things went down because they did it
to themselves in Southern California last week, but man, it
is a prime bounce back opportunity against Geno Smith and
the Raiders. The Raiders situation as follows. The other left
tackle is out. They have a backup left tackle. As
Joel and I talked about a little bit earlier. The
only thing he keeps from the Colts from getting and
hitting this number, or maybe even not winning this game
(01:13:25):
as being wrecked by Max Crosby. He may get his,
but that won't happen. The Colts thirty one to twenty
over the Raiders as they enter the game seven point favorites.
I think the Colts are gonna get back on the
winning track and go to four and one of the season.
Coming up on Sunday, Brent.
Speaker 9 (01:13:43):
Big number here for the Colts. But you know, I mean,
I don't know. We talked earlier. I don't know what
team's going to show up with those Raiders. I mean,
they really are.
Speaker 3 (01:13:49):
They're hard to pick.
Speaker 9 (01:13:50):
But you know, asking genty, he went off last week,
finally had three touchdowns.
Speaker 3 (01:13:54):
Gino Smith is the wild card.
Speaker 7 (01:13:56):
The Colts defense has been playing well, minus a bunch
of ahead mistakes, which I hope they get straightened out
this week.
Speaker 3 (01:14:03):
I think the Colts come back Dan Indiana.
Speaker 7 (01:14:06):
Jones, one guy returned, and one guy probably is going
to be an active so I think maybe things are
gonna be cured. We'll see, hopefully with a little manromo.
Let's make sure we get to write a number of
dudes on the field.
Speaker 9 (01:14:15):
And after that, I'm still gonna ride this Danny Jones
thing man and the way Jonathan Taylor has been playing
and the receivers have been playing minus the fumble.
Speaker 3 (01:14:23):
But give me the Colts late the seven? What do
you got over there? S later?
Speaker 5 (01:14:26):
I'm going with Holvy here, Colts minus seven. They're just
consistent right now. It's you know, unlike the Raiders. You
know what Colts team you've gotten over the last four weeks.
They are consistent, they're coming out Stichen's doing a great
job keeping their heads straight and focused. And it's a
big number. It's not my favorite bet of the week,
but I'm going if I.
Speaker 3 (01:14:46):
Don't mind this, I don't mind. I mean, we went
through about five or six and absolutely are awful.
Speaker 1 (01:14:51):
I don't mind.
Speaker 7 (01:14:52):
This was, like, I think, easier than there's some dog
yeah to do out there, there's some hold your nose
and and.
Speaker 9 (01:14:58):
I did forget to mention my Louzulta Kila shout out
of the very football and again was available in seventy
percent of the leagues. And he made a name for
himself last week. And that is mister Woody Marks running
back for the Houston Techay Mark Woody Marks.
Speaker 7 (01:15:10):
If he's out there getting woodmarks, wood marks like something
we've heard before down in Green County. Right there, larceny
brush stop, Larsnily, Brevin Loxland is with the Keiva Shots,
speaking of which I needed the Joel A. Erickson cocktail.
I think right here again we do need to get
a couple more here, the ginger and the last. Let's
(01:15:32):
take a break to come back with you guys.
Speaker 3 (01:15:33):
Absolutely. I me up next to Hey by the way.
Top of the hour.
Speaker 7 (01:15:36):
Mike Schappel the latest from Colts practice a little bit
earlier today.
Speaker 3 (01:15:39):
We'll get that with Mike at the top of the hour.
Charles R.
Speaker 7 (01:15:42):
Buckle, the former Colts tight end for the radio network.
Also on the inbound at Parks Place Pub, Matt and
Brent rejoined.
Speaker 3 (01:15:49):
On the other side. We would love to see you,
gears free.
Speaker 7 (01:15:52):
The samples are flowing, tied at one with Detroit and Cleveland.
Decisive Game three the Al wild Card.
Speaker 3 (01:15:59):
We have you covered. Don't go anywhere. It's ninety three five,
one oh seven.
Speaker 4 (01:16:03):
Five the Fan, the Ride with jmv in the beat,
Goozer here in the Beat Foozer ninety three five and
one oh seven five the Fan, Parks Place.
Speaker 7 (01:16:18):
Pop, my god, that's where we are today, and Fishers,
I thank you for joining us. Demsey Onside engineer James
Back of the studio, Bankley's and broad Ripple tomorrow on
a bud Light Blue Friday Raiders Colts tickets to give away.
Chris Myers from Fox Tarlotte, thank you very much. Chris
joined us a little bit earlier. Joeli Erickson, we are
the bad influence for Joel. Hey, by the way, I
(01:16:40):
know Joel was on the show at the start. Joel's
going to join us in his normal four o'clock slot
tomorrow with Chris Hagen of Fox fifty nine so they
can promote first and Joel on Fox fifty nine. Bret
Halverson rejoins Matt Sleeeder from Parks Place pub is here.
Speaker 3 (01:16:55):
But look who made it? Are you a Lux Labs
fresh here? I am Corey?
Speaker 14 (01:17:02):
Well he just hair facial.
Speaker 3 (01:17:04):
Oh you did did? I've never done that? I did?
You know, Gena and I did that little thing with
the whatever that is the electric.
Speaker 14 (01:17:11):
The muscle tighteners, the muscle tightener.
Speaker 3 (01:17:14):
That was awesome.
Speaker 14 (01:17:15):
I know you don't even have to go to the gym.
Speaker 3 (01:17:16):
I've done that four times.
Speaker 7 (01:17:18):
Shout out to Lux Labs and our guy, Corey and
Sarah and uh Molly a friend of the show, Molly
at Lux Labs in Carmel.
Speaker 15 (01:17:27):
Yeah, they're great. So this is not like sweat or glistening.
This is hydration at its best.
Speaker 3 (01:17:33):
The facial. Yeah, married life going for you girl? Oh
it's so good. Yeah.
Speaker 15 (01:17:37):
We had to coordinate picking the dog up from daycare today,
so that's cool part of life.
Speaker 7 (01:17:43):
Good coordination going on right there, get anything and we're
going to get some pigs over the week and anything
mine for the Colts and the Raiders this week.
Speaker 15 (01:17:50):
Oh, Colt Spield just right there. I like that.
Speaker 10 (01:17:57):
Oh man.
Speaker 15 (01:17:58):
Yeah, I was listening to the interview with the radio
guy from Las Vegas. Yes, I just feel like he's
doing everything possible to get.
Speaker 14 (01:18:04):
Himself hyped out because the team is just such a disappointment.
Speaker 3 (01:18:07):
They are, They've been disappointing so far. I will say this.
Speaker 7 (01:18:09):
They look great in week one and Sleeder Gino looks
really good in week one in Foxborough, but since then
they've been more of a mess than anything that.
Speaker 5 (01:18:17):
I mean, he looks like you're seeing ghosts out there. Yeah,
that's good for us.
Speaker 7 (01:18:23):
I got to give a shout out to Kurt Bedwell.
Kurt Bedwell over there the Pride of Lenton, a former
minor from Green County. By the way, Bloomfield has the
Apple Festival coming up this weekend. That's Aggie's Funhouse down
in Bloomfield. But Bedwell is here a loser of what'd
you say seventy? I believe Joel A. Rickson is leaving
Joel SIA later.
Speaker 3 (01:18:43):
We'll talk to you tomorrow.
Speaker 7 (01:18:44):
Loser of seventy over there pounds and that's nice to
hear from Bedwell, good to have you here, my brother Sledder.
You said you had some college football looks this weekend.
Speaker 5 (01:18:54):
I got one tonight. Feel really good about it. Well,
let's go so fiel tonight. You've got sam Houston State
going to New Mexico State.
Speaker 3 (01:19:01):
We were all over that one.
Speaker 5 (01:19:03):
We've got. It's a late start, nine o'clock and uh
Sam Houston State ten and o last year, oh to four.
This year, I think a public seeson, a winless team
coming in as a favorite on the road, only a
two point favorite. Yeah, I'm all over sam Houston.
Speaker 3 (01:19:20):
State, Sam Houston State, Brent, Sam Houston.
Speaker 7 (01:19:24):
We are a bit deviant in our selections when we're
going to sam Houston State and New Mexico State on
a Thursday night, aren't we. We've just kind of just
said the hell with it. Let's just go ahead and
go dive right in, right into the pool.
Speaker 9 (01:19:36):
You gotta play with the with the cards on the table,
There's no doubt you get some good stats from this.
Speaker 3 (01:19:42):
Go over here, love it.
Speaker 7 (01:19:43):
You got other college football this weekend, This, by the way,
is a weekend without IU.
Speaker 3 (01:19:47):
They are in a bye week.
Speaker 7 (01:19:48):
You're an Illinois guy, the fighting a line on the
road at raw saye versus Purdue and bury out of
another gauge opportunity for Purdue.
Speaker 5 (01:19:56):
Yeah, I don't. I don't love that for my line.
I I really don't. I mean, last year Purdue was worse,
Illinois was probably better than they were this year, and
now you're going to ross it again. I just that
game's always close no matter what ELLINOI.
Speaker 3 (01:20:09):
All the folks what you don't like about the ALI
and I I.
Speaker 5 (01:20:11):
Mean seeing consistent. I mean, I love, I love my team,
but I just that went against USC last weekend. Yeah,
I mean, those those Big ten teams on the West Coast,
they never win coming.
Speaker 3 (01:20:23):
To their screwed So yeah, they are screwed.
Speaker 5 (01:20:25):
So that probably has the ALI and I feeling a
little bit better about themselves than they should be. And
you can go in and you can lose this game
real easy. Yeah it was almost ten point favorites, and
I just don't love how it sets up.
Speaker 3 (01:20:36):
You know, I know that the basketball teams have talked
about this.
Speaker 7 (01:20:40):
The Big ten West Coast teams coming here before, like
mc crona has been very outspoken. Well, I wonder when
this is going to really come to ahead and there's
nothing you can do about it.
Speaker 5 (01:20:50):
I mean, USC was leading the charge for right, I mean,
they're the ones they're asking for it, so, I mean
they can't really bel can complain, can complains about everything, but.
Speaker 3 (01:20:57):
Everything, Yeah, he does, So the the ALIGNI and Purdue
this weekend.
Speaker 7 (01:21:01):
You get Boise State and Notre Dame coming up this weekend,
Notre Dame coming off that dismantling of Arkansas and anything.
Speaker 3 (01:21:08):
Else you're looking at college football wise over there sleeping.
Speaker 5 (01:21:10):
I haven't yet. I mean I'm really just trying to
die with baseball, and you got NFL and college football
on Thursday. I mean we're right in the heat of
this playoff run for baseball, which is exciting. I got
the a month and a half ago. I bet the
Guardians win. They're twelve twelve games out of the Central.
I bet him to win the AL at seventy five
to one.
Speaker 3 (01:21:28):
Did you really so?
Speaker 5 (01:21:30):
I'm pulling for the Guardian.
Speaker 7 (01:21:31):
You're hanging on that right now. I know my man
b Kelly's down there watching is his Guardians?
Speaker 1 (01:21:36):
Right?
Speaker 7 (01:21:37):
Now last check bottom of the fifth inning tide at
a run apiece, this decisive game three and two outs
and a runner on first for the Guardians right now.
Speaker 3 (01:21:49):
Been a pitching matchup so far, Sleeder, of this game three, yep,
I mean.
Speaker 5 (01:21:53):
Every game has been so far. I mean, other than
the five runs the Guardians scored in the eighth last night,
I mean it's few and far, tweet.
Speaker 7 (01:22:00):
And really across the board, unless you're the Dodgers, every
game has been Except for the Dodgers the VP, there
is their OBP and Game number one and a little
bit of that last night as well. You get the
Cubs and you get the pod Rays at Wrigley Field,
their decisive Game three coming up around six o'clock tonight,
and then the Yankees and the Red Sox their Game
(01:22:21):
three in the AL coming up later on this evening.
Any thoughts on either one of those games, Sleeper or Brent.
I love the Yanks tonight, Go Yankees. I think Yankees
it's gonna be uh, it's gonna be loud. Red Sox
their opportunity last night.
Speaker 9 (01:22:33):
Yeah, I was just talking mister Powers back there, you know,
starting that rookie pitcher for Boston but it's it's really
be inside Yankee Stadium. It is going to be electric
in there. I mean this is Game three. I mean
it's gonna be tough.
Speaker 3 (01:22:45):
To go out there.
Speaker 7 (01:22:45):
They got the Garret Whitlock out of the bullpen and
and I think that kind of did take the Red
Sox by surprise a little bit. He got a little
loose and things didn't work out the way that they
they thought. And a little bit of offense for the
yank But I will say this, the Yankees, you get
to their bullpen and then all bets are off for
that too.
Speaker 5 (01:23:03):
So I'm a Cardinals baseball fan, but it's too bad
for you.
Speaker 7 (01:23:07):
It is bad.
Speaker 5 (01:23:08):
Yeah, but we got a lot of cups face faithful
that what you do games.
Speaker 3 (01:23:12):
Yeah, true, I think about that game.
Speaker 5 (01:23:15):
I mean I like the Cups.
Speaker 7 (01:23:16):
Yeah, I think it's gonna be a close on Dart's
pitching for Padres. And I did listen in the Podres
have done one thing so far in this series. They
get off early. Now the Cubs want up by virtue
going back to back in Game number one, but the
card Or, I should say, the Padres are getting out
early in these games so offensively and ely in these games.
Speaker 1 (01:23:37):
And I mean look at.
Speaker 7 (01:23:38):
Machado, I mean he's almost he's like a I mean,
he's either gonna pay off big or not show. There's
never really in between for Machado, Jackson Merrill, good player.
Speaker 3 (01:23:50):
We know that to be true. And you know, Tatis
at the chart of that line up.
Speaker 7 (01:23:54):
If they can twist out any offense whatsoever, you know,
you could put the Cubs and scram.
Speaker 3 (01:24:00):
At home in.
Speaker 5 (01:24:01):
That game is going to be electric. You know it
should be.
Speaker 3 (01:24:05):
Len's anything from you.
Speaker 15 (01:24:06):
I'm just sad the Reds are outd I thought they were,
you know, do something. They finally had an opportunity.
Speaker 3 (01:24:11):
They did something, all right, they gave up a lot
of runs. Yeah, I get so.
Speaker 14 (01:24:16):
Yeah, the playoff baseball season.
Speaker 3 (01:24:19):
Yeah, Lens is going to rejoin.
Speaker 7 (01:24:21):
Now.
Speaker 3 (01:24:21):
You got to bail Brin at five.
Speaker 7 (01:24:24):
Yeah, well step out right before. Yes, all right, so
we'll talk about where we're going the next week as
well with you, and then Sleader's going to rejoin as well.
My chapel Top of the Hour, Charles Arbuckle coming up
at five point thirty. Parks Plays Pub where he had
fishers with large dy bourbon locks. Luna zoo up the
key of the shots with us on this week five Thursday.
We would love to have more of your ride here,
(01:24:46):
which means don't go anywhere. Ninety three five one oh
seven five The Fan, The Ride with JMV. He's my
best friend, He's my pow, he's my homeboy, my rotten soldier,
He's my sweet, my good time boy.
Speaker 4 (01:25:01):
Ninety three five and one oh seven five The Fan
Time I told you how much I love this place.
Parks Place Pub and Fishers.
Speaker 7 (01:25:17):
Brent Holverson have a hill Distillery, Sierra's On Senior ride
for volleyball Mount Vernon last home game of UH A
lot of career, A lot of dads have felt exactly
how you feel right now.
Speaker 3 (01:25:32):
It's man, it's just wow. I mean, talk about time flying.
Speaker 9 (01:25:35):
I know, and you know she's played in every game
she's ever been while she's been in Mount Vernon all
the way through from from UH you know, her seventh
and eighth grade, and it's a spectacular girl varsity.
Speaker 3 (01:25:48):
All the way around for four years straight. So I
think she's almost taller than me, which really pisses me.
Speaker 9 (01:25:52):
On I wish she had about two more inches would
have been great. No, it's gonna be. It's gonna be special.
I mean, we've got a special group of girls over there,
so it's gonna be. It's gonna be tough for a lot.
There's nine seniors on the flow. Yeah, and so we've
got to do the walk through on the floor, which
is gonna be pretty cool. But again, I'm just telling you, man,
I just got kind of got that happy and feeling.
Speaker 3 (01:26:14):
Tell you you've got some churning, yeah, feeling. It's hard
to explain there. Hold on now and and listen.
Speaker 7 (01:26:20):
We're talking to people out there that have had kids
that have gone through that that know exactly how you
feel right now.
Speaker 9 (01:26:25):
Yeah, yeah, you know, it's just a it's it's been fun,
but I just I still can't get over how fast
it just goes so well.
Speaker 3 (01:26:31):
Buckle up, I know you're going through right now, right
the Leader.
Speaker 5 (01:26:35):
Volleyball team a cathedral and I mean same thing. I mean,
the season will be over and you know, a week
or two, and it's just hard to believe that it
flew by so fast. And we had senior night, two
nights you did, yeah, and only four seniors. But yeah,
I mean that's emotional when it gets to that you
think about everything that those parents have poured into, you know,
driving and getting under their games and everything for so
many years for it, and for some of those girls
(01:26:57):
it's it's over right. Oh yeah, and you know it
it is pretty emotional.
Speaker 3 (01:27:01):
So yeah, it's gonna be wild.
Speaker 9 (01:27:02):
I mean it's you know, if you think about you
mentioned that, I mean just the amount of time that
goes in from when they're eight years old, so ten
years of you know, almost seven days a week, you know,
and then the club ball and then.
Speaker 3 (01:27:13):
You get school ball and just back and forth, and
it's wild. It's it's it goes fast. So if you're
out there soaking in while, you can tell you Ford
does basketball. So it's a little bit different, but a
lot of the same. Sure, Oh absolutely, well, you.
Speaker 15 (01:27:26):
Guys has a recent high school grat myself, I just
all have memories coming back to me. But what I
think about when I was going through all of this,
you know, my senior year. I was a gymnast for
sixteen years of my life and then all of a
sudden I went to ball stay and I'm nowhere good
enough to be on that all of those life skills
that she's been learning going through all of this is
it and your work and all of the things that
(01:27:48):
she can apply to later in life. I mean, she's
maybe not going to be playing this sport, but she's
going to be utilizing everything that she's learned all throughout life.
Speaker 14 (01:27:57):
So it's not just gonna be over. You just got
to pick all those skills and just see how she
gets to grow.
Speaker 9 (01:28:02):
Them into her Oh, one hundred percent. I'm definitely looking
forward to all of that, right. It's just the fact
that thinking about she's gonna fly them has to be gone. Yea,
but you here got beat it right, Like we still
have sage. She's going to keep us on our toes
sure next six years. But uh, it's just this my
big girl. You know, she's she's, she's it's just wild tonight.
Speaker 3 (01:28:20):
I appreciate it. Yeah. Absolutely.
Speaker 7 (01:28:22):
My favorite thing to do for Lanny is to go
play pick up basketball against our coaches that beat the
hell out of them.
Speaker 1 (01:28:28):
That's my favorite thing.
Speaker 3 (01:28:29):
That probably really helps her out a lot.
Speaker 7 (01:28:33):
And they talk jump Junk on the radio about him too,
which really helps her a lot. So no wonder Landy
and he goes, uh uh, yeah, he's kind of on
his own right there.
Speaker 3 (01:28:42):
A little bit so, But no, man, I.
Speaker 7 (01:28:44):
Know the dad's out there feel exactly how you are,
have felt exactly how you feel right now. It's been fun.
It's been fun. It's gonna you know, it's not over there.
Play Shelbyville tonight. So then we've got the sectional draw.
Everybody's coming up to Mystic Waters on side day. Nice
and to be watching the secual.
Speaker 9 (01:29:02):
Draw and seeing how that goes and again, you know,
looking for that to get past that yorktown purdle, to
see when we play those guys and hopefully have one
last shot to be your town.
Speaker 7 (01:29:11):
Look at Lenz's cocktailed up over there. Do you work
tomorrow Friday?
Speaker 3 (01:29:14):
Shan, No, I work tomorrow.
Speaker 15 (01:29:17):
It's my first, like operation football that I've ever really
gotten to.
Speaker 14 (01:29:21):
Do because my schedules unswitched my schedule this week.
Speaker 3 (01:29:24):
Ah hey, where's the Queen of ice Cream today?
Speaker 14 (01:29:27):
She's working till seven.
Speaker 3 (01:29:28):
Oh yeah, she's got that. Oh god, she got a
new gig.
Speaker 7 (01:29:32):
Yeah.
Speaker 3 (01:29:33):
Is she liking it?
Speaker 1 (01:29:34):
Yeah?
Speaker 3 (01:29:34):
Is she?
Speaker 14 (01:29:35):
I think so bad? We don't really talk about work anymore.
We just talk about fun.
Speaker 3 (01:29:39):
Oh do you good?
Speaker 7 (01:29:40):
So?
Speaker 13 (01:29:40):
Yeah?
Speaker 3 (01:29:41):
The Queen of ice Cream can no longer make it
because she's anchoring. Who is she with?
Speaker 14 (01:29:47):
Phil?
Speaker 13 (01:29:48):
Oh?
Speaker 3 (01:29:48):
Phil Sanchez?
Speaker 15 (01:29:49):
Yeah? Right, but that's fun as hell's Tomorrow is going
to be super fun operation.
Speaker 14 (01:29:58):
I'm trying to change the subject.
Speaker 10 (01:30:00):
No, you have.
Speaker 3 (01:30:02):
That is enjoyable about that?
Speaker 7 (01:30:04):
Right there? Yeah?
Speaker 14 (01:30:05):
Have you ever been to Flora? I've ever been to Carroll.
Speaker 3 (01:30:07):

Speaker 14 (01:30:10):

Dominic moran Is.
Speaker 14 (01:30:18):

Speaker 3 (01:30:21):
What's his nuts? Because that's I couldn't remember his name?
What's his nuts?
Speaker 14 (01:30:24):
Yeah, that'll go over.
Speaker 3 (01:30:25):
Well, where'd you say you're going?
Speaker 15 (01:30:27):

I think it's technically Carol Junior Senior Rights Distinguished, but
it's the one in Flora.
Speaker 9 (01:30:36):
Okay, Yeah, so Carol Fort Wayne. Yeah, number one volleyball
team in the state. So that's why I was curious
about HSC is two Westfield. I mean it's you know,
they're all right there in Mount Front It's eleven.
Speaker 7 (01:30:46):
It's just an athletic machine up near Fort Wayne right
now to tell Yeah, yeah, absolutely, yeah, very much.
Speaker 3 (01:30:52):

But yeah, that's a is a heck of a drive

It is, but it's fun and the kids love it.
I usually sleep.
Speaker 15 (01:33:23):
Friday is my normal day off, so I usually sleep
through it and watch the highlights later. But the amount
of student activity with the signs and just the whole
band and PEP squad that get up and those kids
are out there at six o'clock in the morning cheering
on their school, I mean it's really impressive.
Speaker 3 (01:33:40):
You could check out Lyns by the way of Channel thirteen.

hang with us right here. But on the end more
Automotive Group podline from CBS four and Fox fifty nine.
His work you can read there. Mike Chapel is with us.
Is what's your feel on A d Mitchell's participation coming
up on Sunday?
Speaker 3 (01:34:12):
Will he be a healthy scratch?
Speaker 8 (01:34:16):
That's a good question, first of all, with tears coming back,
and as long as as Pittman's handstring is, it is
nothing that will slow down him Sunday Sunday. If he plays,
he's gonna play eight to ten snaps. And this would
(01:34:37):
be a chance for a team that preaches accountability to
setting down.
Speaker 1 (01:34:43):
For a game. I just don't you're not.
Speaker 8 (01:34:47):
It's hard to keep six receivers up on game day.
And you you've got you've got Acton Doodler, who's a
special team's you know, phenom, and Anthony Rules is a
return guy. So yeah, they're being very very costs about
(01:35:07):
what they said. Skin Stikeen says he's got to earn
He's got to earn it in practice. Well, I think
he has been earning his playing time in practice. So
I don't know, yes or no. I would probably sit
him down for a game, not two, three, four games,
but a game. You did that with your quarterback last year,
(01:35:27):
certainly different reasons, but when you felt he wasn't giving you.
Speaker 1 (01:35:32):
What you needed.
Speaker 8 (01:35:32):
So it was such doug on it. It was such
an egregious mistake that happened nine months earlier. It's not like, well,
you know, there's hardly ever had Oh, it's happening quite
a nine months for crying out labs and I The
question you've got to ask is if you're sitting down
(01:35:54):
for a game for obvious reasons to get his attention,
I guess, how much do you do damage on his confidence?
I don't know, but if you're going to preach accountability,
I don't know any of any better way of getting
a guy's attention than making sit down for a game.
(01:36:16):
It's a good question. And I think that's shutting down
for a game. But I could be talked out of
it that it would take some hard talking.
Speaker 14 (01:36:26):
Yeah, it's just so hard to watch that all go down.
Speaker 15 (01:36:29):
I mean it was like, oh my gosh, how can
one player cost multiple touchdowns?
Speaker 14 (01:36:33):
But from the defensive side of things.
Speaker 15 (01:36:35):
Obviously, Howard had a less and impressive performance on Sunday
as well, and that kind of took care of itself.
Where do you think the Cults defense stands, especially from
the quarterback position, and you know, calling up practice squad
guys and like bringing other people in, I mean the talent,
I mean, where do you think we stand at that position?
Speaker 14 (01:36:56):
If from an overall defensive outlook.
Speaker 8 (01:36:59):
That's funny because I'm sitting here type of that story
right now. So you guys, you guys interrupted my master.
Speaker 4 (01:37:05):
Uh.
Speaker 8 (01:37:06):
I sort of think we saw the blueprint, uh the
second week when when uh Mooney Ward was out with
a concussion, they started Makay Blackman uh alongside uh Xavian
Howard and Kennymore played a bunch obviously, so I think
that's probably what they do. We talked to Jonathan Edwards
(01:37:28):
as a rookie unwrapped the rookie today, and he's a possibility.
He's played like eleven snaps in four games, so that
that would be extreme. I assume they go Mooney Ward,
they go with type Blackman, and then Mike Hilton plays
in the nickel. I don't know that they start Mike
Hilton outside like the coachman. Normal. If if this was
(01:37:52):
Mooney Ward and and these guys and Kenny Moore was healthy,
I think he starts outside, but I don't think they
would handle Mike Hilton the same way. So I fortunately
I get that that's the right word. You're not facing
the Rams. You have two elite receivers. The Raiders don't
(01:38:13):
have quite that. I mean, Frock Bowers is different with
how you're going to handle him because I think Blackman
Stepson and starts. That's who started against Denver when Mooney
Award was out. But they need they need a week
or two to get Jalen Jones back. He can he
can start practicing next week for that Ham strength. And
(01:38:33):
they need Kenny Moore back. Kenny Moore is just when
you're thinking of irreplaceable defensive players, you're thinking of Kenny
Moore and the horse Buckner. So I'm sure that Kenny
Moore won't hurry back, won't push coming back from an
achilles injury before they sure miss him.
Speaker 7 (01:38:55):
Mike Chapel of CBS four and Fox fifty done. He's
on the Andy Moore automatic group outline. Of course, have
covered a quarterback who decided to go ahead and retire
two weeks before the start of the season. Have you
ever covered a quarnerback that decided to retire during the
season as you have this past week with Xavian Howard.
Speaker 8 (01:39:16):
Oh, good question.
Speaker 7 (01:39:17):
Uh.
Speaker 8 (01:39:19):
Probably, Uh, but uh I'm trying to think what how
Vonte Davis.
Speaker 1 (01:39:26):
Went down.
Speaker 8 (01:39:27):
Did he sort of ask to be released? I can't
remember how that went down when it went to hell
that one year.
Speaker 7 (01:39:34):
Uh?
Speaker 8 (01:39:34):
But no, and again this said the guy that started
four games, he started four games for you. Uh, but
they they they had to do something. And whether whether
before you're retired. I I'm wondering if Louis and Rumin
was thinking about, man, we gotta we gotta get somebody
(01:39:56):
else in there, which would have been awkward than to
have of Howard coming off the bench. But it You know,
sometimes Johnny, you're watching things and we're not.
Speaker 1 (01:40:08):
We're not.
Speaker 8 (01:40:10):
You know, I didn't go to college and major in football,
so we kind of follow our eyes, and it's the
eye test. I didn't need tro Football Focus or Next
Gen Stats to tell me that even Howard wasn't playing
to his level. You could you could just see it.
And I thought he had a very well constructed retirement
(01:40:32):
announcement about wanting to spend more time with the family,
and I'll take him at that. I'll take him at that.
But but if he was still playing at a high level,
I think he's still playing. I think it takes it's
a difficult decision when a player watches himself on tape
(01:40:52):
and his man, I can't do what it used to do.
That was sort of member back. It's the right we
can remember with Shaqueline or with his back and the
calf and all that, and his last year here. He
just wasn't the same player. He didn't have the explosion.
He couldn't do what he was used to doing. So
I think the hardest thing normally, normally the NFL tells
(01:41:16):
you that you retired because no one signs you. Sometimes
a player realizes that, man, I just don't have it
anymore now. Whether he didn't have it or whether he
didn't have the commitment to do what it took to
get to that level, I don't know. But it was
(01:41:39):
obvious he wasn't the same player, and he was a
detriment to the defense and they were going to have
to do something one way or the other.
Speaker 3 (01:41:50):
Good Lynch.
Speaker 15 (01:41:51):
Yeah, Yeah, it's just I think that's kind of a
big and we'll be kind of figured out the quarterback situation.
Speaker 14 (01:41:55):
So we're like, all right, what's going on with this defense?
But at least we have a team. A lot of
folks are optimistic that we have a good chance again.
So it does give at least a week to get some.
Speaker 15 (01:42:05):
Of those reps in to see how that all is
going to ultimately play out before we have a challenge
against the Cardinals again at home. So that's at least
an advantage, But it definitely looks like the schedule will
start to you get a little bit more difficult here
coming up. I wanted to ask you about the quarterback
competition here.
Speaker 14 (01:42:21):
Obviously, Daniel Jones has been super.
Speaker 15 (01:42:22):
Impressive so far this season, love to watch him, but
what are you thinking about Geno Smith and all those
interceptions that he threw. I mean, do you think that
we have the upper hand when it comes to quarterback
play this week?
Speaker 1 (01:42:36):
Oh? I think so?
Speaker 8 (01:42:37):
You got you got one quarterback and Daniel Jones, who
seldom throws multiple interceptions, he really takes care of the football,
and you got another guy who's going to give you
some chances, and I think one thing that plays into
that is the Raiders offensive lines of mess. They've given
up twelve sacks. I think it's twelve sacks and none
(01:42:58):
last week, so he will give you chances. And they
still got quality, quality dbs with Nick Cross and Cambine
them and Mooney Wards, so if he puts the ball
at risk, they will make him pay. And I was,
you know, it's really kind of funny. I was encouraged
(01:43:18):
by the loss of the Rams. I really was. That
could have been a game after three and oh start
and what are you? You know, you kind of got
lucky against Denver. They went out there and had every
chance to win, every chance, you know, take add two
more touchdowns on the board. I realized it's a if
if thing, but they win. So I was encouraged, And
(01:43:41):
I think they need to be careful this week that
you're coming home against well, he's just the Raiders. They're
not playing very good. Geno's biskit to give you chances
and you're a seven point went to the laftime the
Cult for a seven point favorite I can't remember. So
I think they need to kind of make sure they
don't have any kind of a laps, which losing the
game should kind of snatch you back to attention. But yeah,
(01:44:05):
I like the I like the quarterback advantage to the Colts.
I like the way Jones is playing. What was impressive
last week is he throws that interception on the was
the fourth or fifth play of the game, and then
he came back and played pretty well. He really did,
so I like the way this off I'm starting to
(01:44:26):
trust the offense, which is sort of makes me nervous
because I don't. I don't like, I don't want to
do that, but I do, and I just think this
is the game. They sort of take care of business
and it's not going to be a.
Speaker 1 (01:44:41):
Drive in the last.
Speaker 8 (01:44:42):
Three minutes to win it. But they got to go out.
Speaker 1 (01:44:46):
You can't.
Speaker 8 (01:44:47):
I was doing some research and they had three turnovers
last week. They brought nineteen straight games when they have
three three or more turnovers in the game. So these
guys aren't nearly good enough to have a lo up
in penalties and three or more turnovers and win. So
get back to what you were doing the first three
games and then I think you're fine.
Speaker 7 (01:45:07):
To Mike Chapel at CBS four and Fox fifty nine,
and again get the Raiders of the Colts coming up
on Sunday one o'clock ride to kickoff, Begains with me
Bullseyeeventgroup dot com and then touchdowntown from ten until noon
on the Colts pregame huddle. Maybe is this me and
maybe the Colts defense have done a lot better against
their run. It just seems like there are some moments
(01:45:29):
when other teams have been able to so far this
ship Mike run the football and then for whatever reason,
they go away from it. And there are two concerns
for me with this game on Sunday with the Raiders,
and one is obvious defensively, you can't let Max Crosby
wreck it, which he is absolutely capable of doing. The
(01:45:49):
other thing is Genti the rookie. He'd kind of been
on training wheels until last week, and they.
Speaker 3 (01:45:56):
Cut him loose.
Speaker 7 (01:45:57):
I kind of wonder if Pete Carroll and company and
chipca may cut him a little bit more loose. And
this is something that I don't think has been really
a major focus of well what we have seen teams
be able to do against the Colts defensively, But I
think they can if they stick to it. And I
kind of wonder if maybe with that rookie running back,
(01:46:19):
the Raiders might not try to do that someday.
Speaker 8 (01:46:22):
Yeah, they give it up like a four point five
yards to carry, which is it's too much. That's too much.
And you just see like Tyrone Williams gets ten eleven
and and yeah, and a guy like Jenny May get
ten eleven seventy, you know, the Jonathan Taylor type thing.
So yeah, I no question, and I may maybe it's
(01:46:45):
a good thing that the rookie had that breakout game
last week. And if you needed any kind of a
wake up call for your meetings this week, that's certainly
won was whatever the one hundred and thirty seven yards
and three touchdowns, and that again, Gino Smith's not going
to be throwing seven or three or four interceptions if
(01:47:06):
he's handing the ball off and getting really good yarded
from the running game.
Speaker 1 (01:47:10):
So yeah, no que that that's.
Speaker 8 (01:47:11):
Sort of a quiet bother a quite concernative mind as well.
It's not they're not getting gashed for one fifty like
you did last year with early in the season by
a guy. But they've had stretches where guys have just
gotten just gotten loose and great backs, we'll, we'll, we'll
really make you pay for that, and that to this case,
(01:47:32):
that's at this point, that's not being the case. This
this player can do that.
Speaker 3 (01:47:36):
Nobody ever sticks to it. I mean we've seen the
game so far this year.
Speaker 7 (01:47:40):
I mean, nobody nobody sticks to I get what the
Rams didn't with Stafford and the cool was doing whatever
he wanted. But but Mike, nobody has stuck to it.
Didn't for is stick to it. You know, Tennessee didn't
really with Pollard whatsoever. And uh, you know we saw Miami.
Speaker 3 (01:47:56):
Nobody's stuck to it.
Speaker 1 (01:47:58):
He did too.
Speaker 7 (01:48:01):
Yeah, And the reason why I bring this up is
you get the combination of a quarterback that's been scuffling
here recently in Geno Smith.
Speaker 3 (01:48:08):
And even though the Colts look like that.
Speaker 7 (01:48:10):
They can be taken advantage of in the secondary if
you want, certainly to me, if you start running the
football and trying to get back on track with this
rookie and you're kind of really taking the cloak off
of him a little bit, as they did last week
against the Bears, this might be a weekend to watch
out for that.
Speaker 3 (01:48:27):
If you're the Colts, Well, that's it.
Speaker 5 (01:48:28):
What I was gonna say. I was just gonna say,
with the Colts get out to a fourteen to nothing lead,
Genti becomes a non factor. They're going to be forced
to throw it, and then then you're looking at another
two or three interception Gamel. I mean it could be
a route at that point. I mean that's an optimistic look.
Speaker 8 (01:48:43):
But but like James, you are saying, looking at this
in seventy eight yards one hundred and eighteen yards eighty
six hundred and two, no one's really really caged him.
But but you know, I don't know like you, Like
you said, no one's.
Speaker 1 (01:48:59):
Really been committed to doing that, and.
Speaker 8 (01:49:04):
At some point communic case, but no, the great equalized
to get out in front, and then you sort of
take Jenny out of the game, and then you take
Max Crosby out of the game at some point because
you're not throwing the ball thirty five times. And I'm
telling you, Max Crosby is there's like five or six
defensive players and no more than that that they can
(01:49:25):
wreck a game. They can do nothing for fifty plays
and then for three plays they tear it up, and
he's one of them. It's kind of like with why
Dallas got rid of Micah Parsons. He's such a difference maker.
And Max Crawsby is one of those you know.
Speaker 1 (01:49:42):
The TJ. Watts and people like that.
Speaker 8 (01:49:44):
This is one of those guys. And Bernard Ryanan come
played great for fifty seven plays and have three bad
plays against him, and Max fraw he wins that. So
you got to really be careful those rare players that
can wreck a game handful of plays.
Speaker 7 (01:50:02):
No, I completely agree, and Mike Chapel joined just before
I let you go. I didn't want to get to
this as well because it cost him last week with
a special teams operation. And this is something we have
not seen, and I mean we as in covering the
Colts have not seen because normally what they do in
special teams with the Raiders against the Colts has been flawless.
(01:50:23):
And Tom McMahon, you know that name very well, certainly
synonymous with special teams. I kind of wonder how you
view that if this game is tight, because so far
the Raiders' special teams wise, they haven't been as good
as we have known them to be. And how the
difference makers they have been against the Colts in the past.
Speaker 8 (01:50:47):
Yeah, and then Today's Spincer Straders, AFC and special these
players of the month of the month leading the league
in points.
Speaker 1 (01:50:56):
And field goals.
Speaker 8 (01:50:57):
He's thirteen for fourteen and I think is one miss
like a fifty two yarder, you know, let's keep you
in mind the six the sixty yarder never happened, thank god.
Speaker 1 (01:51:06):
But yeah, and I like the way.
Speaker 8 (01:51:10):
Sanchez is punting. A few times he's punted. He's pinning
people deep. And I don't know that I can remember
as many watched kicks, punts and blockfield goals as we've
seen in the first four weeks of the season.
Speaker 3 (01:51:26):
So manic and it was not last weekend because.
Speaker 8 (01:51:30):
Of that, right right, So and again that's you say,
that's the hidden part of the AGA's not hidden at all.
Speaker 1 (01:51:36):
That's out sure.
Speaker 8 (01:51:37):
I always remember McAfee saying every time Vianit Terry went
in the field, there are points on the on the line,
so and one other thing on the coles and special teams.
It's really cool that Spencer Straders thirteen for fourteen on
field goals and all that. They've got to get their
red zone offense fixed because they're leaving points on the
(01:51:58):
field and you lead points on the field often enough
and you're gonna get beat. I don't care who you're playing.
Speaker 1 (01:52:07):
Yeah.
Speaker 7 (01:52:07):
Mike Chapel of CBS four on Fox fifty nine, he
has on the Andy More out of mout.
Speaker 3 (01:52:12):
A fair pod line.
Speaker 7 (01:52:12):
You have a great opportunity this week and then next week,
and I'm not trying to get too far ahead the Georgia. Yeah.
Speaker 3 (01:52:23):
Well, I mean think about this for a moment, Mike
two O.
Speaker 7 (01:52:26):
The next three weeks you're gonna be playing also back
up left tackles. So can can we shout out to
this coast defense up front and a guy like lat
to maybe be unleashed because the opportunity and the next
three weeks, the opportunity is there. But I think for
them to consistently, to consistently get after the quarterback two
(01:52:48):
out the next three weeks is absolutely there.
Speaker 1 (01:52:51):
I think a lot too is he.
Speaker 8 (01:52:53):
I know he were talking about the almost sacks, but
one of the stats sites, Prokeball Focus thing had him
ranked top five last week in pressures. Is a really
strong game, got his first sack. I think he's due
to have one of those two SAT games. And I
think I think the front he fittive front's ready and
(01:53:14):
we talked about again the first part of the schedule.
You've got Raiders, you got Cardinals at home, you go
to the Chargers and their offensive line is a mess.
But then you come home with Tennessee. So it is
just that, like we thought, it's just set to get
out to that good start. So when you get to
the back end of the schedule, you've got room to
(01:53:36):
kind of settle down. So take care of business at
home and see what happened against the Chargers, and then
come back home against Tennessee and Mike, goodness, you're sitting
in pretty good shape.
Speaker 7 (01:53:48):
Pleasure buddy is always I appreciate every Thursday. We'll do
it again next week and I'll see you in the
press box coming up on Sunday.
Speaker 1 (01:53:55):
Mike, thank you.
Speaker 8 (01:53:57):
You guys be well.
Speaker 7 (01:53:58):
Mike Chapel of cb US four and Fox fifty nines
on the Andy Moore Auto Motive Group line. Sleader is
here from Parks Place Pub. That's a location today on Lindia.
Monroe of Channel thirteen is also Rocketed Triple A membership Lounge.
You guys want to add anything to conversation, We just
had Sleider over there.
Speaker 3 (01:54:15):
Nope, I hated to get to you at mid drink
right there, Ye, Sorr, I've ad to it. Yeah, anything
from you, Lens.
Speaker 14 (01:54:22):
I have a general NFL observation.
Speaker 15 (01:54:25):
Do you feel like there is at some point in
the season everything that's kind of you would expect, Like
all of these numbers, all these Vegas numbers we make
these bets on. Do you feel like there is a
certain week at which perhaps injuries coming to play road
games versus home games coming to play, where just weird
things happen.
Speaker 7 (01:54:44):
Well, I mean we've seen it with quarterbacks and then
I just brought this up with Mike. Two out of
the next three weeks for the Colts, they get back
up left tackles because this week obviously with the Raiders
left tackle done and then all is out with the
Chargers coming up the week after next, so you.
Speaker 1 (01:55:03):
Get back up.
Speaker 3 (01:55:04):
Those are the types of experiences.
Speaker 7 (01:55:05):
We have to take advantage of those opportunities, backup left tackles,
backup quarterbacks, and try to remain as healthy as possible.
But you know, mat, other teams are looking at the
Colts in that capacity we brought up, you know, Genti,
and you know, sticking with the run teams, not sticking
with the run against the Colts. Maybe one of the
reasons why they don't is because we saw last week
the Rams were throwing at will with Stafford and Mikula
(01:55:28):
against that secondary of.
Speaker 3 (01:55:29):
The Colts, which is banged up.
Speaker 5 (01:55:31):
Yeah, that's right. I think in the first few weeks too.
To your question, Lindsay, is you people think they've got
every team figured out now, right? Yeah, so you're going
to start seeing the public saying, all right, we know
who this Cardinals team is, we know who this Titans
team is, and you don't. The reality is these coaches
are going week by week and then there's situations that
you're trying to figure out, and you're going to find
(01:55:52):
situations as a better to make money because Vegas knows
what people are looking at what they've seen over the
last four weeks, and you have recency bias, like somebody
like JMV is gonna think they got a team figured
out and they're gonna be on their own side.
Speaker 3 (01:56:07):
So yeah, it's Sleder and Lindsay, you guys gonna hang
a little bit more. Yeah, yeah, we got that. On
the other side.
Speaker 7 (01:56:12):
Here, Park Place Pub, the Cubs and the podres Underway.
Speaker 3 (01:56:17):

Speaker 7 (01:56:19):

Kelly over there, I'm the Guardians fan that.
Speaker 3 (01:56:25):
Things have not gone well. Late game situation.
Speaker 7 (01:56:27):
Decisive Game three in Cleveland, they trailed Detroit six to
one as they battened out with one out in the
bottom of the seventh inning.
Speaker 3 (01:56:37):
So dire straits for the Guardians for real. Right there.

Speaker 3 (02:00:34):
Oh nice.
Speaker 15 (02:00:35):
The races start at one o'clock. I believe that's when
the gates open, and this year they're going all out.
Whoa something big happy?
Speaker 5 (02:00:43):
Hard to get a word in with the Cubs came
going on, I know.
Speaker 7 (02:00:46):
Talking about it gets himself a little doumble. So second
and third, no money out right now. In the bottom
of the second ending, the Cubs got a lot something
something doing right now?
Speaker 3 (02:00:57):
Go ahead about time?
Speaker 7 (02:00:59):
Yeah?
Speaker 15 (02:01:00):

a Motive Group podline, Hello, Charles.
Speaker 3 (02:01:58):
How are you good?
Speaker 1 (02:02:01):
Man?
Speaker 2 (02:02:01):
Well, baseball gotta love it.
Speaker 1 (02:02:03):
You gotta love it, man.
Speaker 7 (02:02:04):
There's there's well, there's no doubt about that right now.
A couple friends are excited here at Parks plays Club
and Fishers with second and third and nobody out in
the bottom of the second inning and no scoring that
decisive game Number three. Reds fans like myself were not
really thrilled with two games and Chavez ravine against the Dodgers.
Speaker 3 (02:02:23):
Charles, not so much at all.
Speaker 13 (02:02:25):
Yeah, yeah, the Dodgers take it to you, guys. I
have to say, you don't, I know, you might not
like the Dodgers. You got at least go the Chavez
ravine and see a game, man.
Speaker 1 (02:02:36):
Yes, well you do. My place to watch baseball game
I have.
Speaker 7 (02:02:40):
I have been there a couple of different times and listen,
I don't know if there Here's what's funny about it.
I think I'll give credit to Bob Kravitz, who I
saw this on on X. Charles mentioned it doesn't age.
It's like the Benjamin but of stadiums where every stadium,
every Chavez Ravine and Dodger Stadium never ages.
Speaker 3 (02:03:01):
It looks great no matter what year, no matter what time.
Speaker 2 (02:03:06):
Yeah, you got I grew up with Ashos fans old
basically loaded.
Speaker 3 (02:03:10):
Now just got it.
Speaker 5 (02:03:14):
Yeah?
Speaker 13 (02:03:15):
Going out, Yeah, going out.
Speaker 1 (02:03:16):
To LA to school.
Speaker 2 (02:03:17):
I got a chance to frequent it quite often. And
even when I go back now, I agree with you,
it just does not aid that place.
Speaker 10 (02:03:24):
Though.
Speaker 3 (02:03:25):
Hey, I was curious about this.
Speaker 7 (02:03:27):
You go into to this game and obviously you play
on what happened last week, and the one thing that
we understand the Colts lost in LA. But the Colts
are legit. I mean they were legit. They were right there,
could have, should have would have won that game. But
if you're the staff right now, how would you be
(02:03:48):
And it may not matter because the return of Alec
Pierce and you know how much opportunity would you have
if your Mitchell anyway? But but how would you handle
a d Mitchell just in terms of available would you
make him a healthy scratch on Sunday?
Speaker 2 (02:04:04):
I wouldn't, And I don't think they are.
Speaker 13 (02:04:06):
I think they're going to still go with ad because
they believe in him. You know.
Speaker 2 (02:04:09):
I think if you look at that play, the hardest
part was the stuff that he did, and then you
just get to the end and you lose the ball
and it's all on you. I'm not making any excuses
for him, but for him to say that's on me.
Speaker 1 (02:04:23):
Coaches, I'm sure. I'm sure Reggie was on him about it.
Speaker 13 (02:04:27):
Everybody was.
Speaker 2 (02:04:28):
But I think it took a lot for a kid
to get in front of a room, a young guy
to get in front of the room and apologize to
his teammates, to say, hey, that was on me, that
was my fault.
Speaker 8 (02:04:37):
I shouldn't have done that.
Speaker 2 (02:04:38):
I accept that more than anything because he you know,
if he was this guy that was only caring about himself,
you would have saw that. I could tell as soon
as he fumbled and walked away, you.
Speaker 1 (02:04:48):
Could just tell what was I doing?
Speaker 2 (02:04:50):
And that happens. So the way you coach him is
if he had a good week of practice, which it
sounds like he did, I wouldn't make him a healthy scratch. Now,
if we'll see if he does become a healthy scratch,
how he handles that. That's going to be the telling
part to me, or not getting to play much because
Alex curiously is back, and if he doesn't have any
injuries or doesn't sustain anything from that concussion, and here's huge. Fine,
(02:05:13):
you know Alex is going to be.
Speaker 1 (02:05:14):
In the mix.
Speaker 3 (02:05:18):
Go ahead, Slater.
Speaker 5 (02:05:20):
Yeah, it's hard to get a word him with these
cup fans in there.
Speaker 3 (02:05:23):
Yeah.
Speaker 5 (02:05:23):
I mean think about it too. If he holds onto
that ball for another half yard, it's the play of
the weekend. The difficulty of the catch and spin move,
and I mean, that's the play of the week. And
we're having a completely different conversation. And then the holding call.
Nobody really even talks about that, right because the Colts
win the game, let's say, and he's got the play
(02:05:43):
highlight of the week. It's a whole different conversation. To
your point there, I think this is an opportunity more
for stich In to show that I believe in my
young kid, because he is super talented and that kid's
going to have a career. He made a mistake, and he,
like you said, I think he felt he felt worse
than anybody can stand out here with pitchforks and say
oh yeah, but the reality is this is a kid
(02:06:04):
that he feels terrible about what he did, and he
let his team down. And I think if if anything else,
Snichen wants him to get back out there and get
get some catches and gain some more confidence because they're
gonna need him if they go on a stretch run
down the end of the season. They're gonna need this
kid to have a lot of confidence and go grab
some balls.
Speaker 1 (02:06:24):
I agree with you.
Speaker 2 (02:06:25):
I think the other thing is the fumble out of
the end zone was bad, but I think the holding
call was more egregious.
Speaker 1 (02:06:31):
That's just me because he didn't need to do it
and he wasn't.
Speaker 2 (02:06:34):
In a position where he was setting himself up.
Speaker 3 (02:06:37):
The block.
Speaker 2 (02:06:37):
Part of that was because he had the fumble. I
think if his mind had been in it too it,
he wouldn't have done that because it just it was
too obvious that you just go grab a guy that's
not going to even make the play. But what again,
I think there was so many plays in that game
that you can go back to, and the Colts still
only lost that game by seven points. That's that's the
(02:06:58):
thing I kept looking at, Like in the past, we
would have been saying, well, man, they got to play
perfect football to win.
Speaker 1 (02:07:04):
No, they don't. They just have to not beat themselves.
Speaker 2 (02:07:07):
That interception that Daniel threw at the end, he didn't
need to throw that ball.
Speaker 8 (02:07:11):
He had Jonathan Taylor right.
Speaker 2 (02:07:12):
In the middle of the field. You hit him for
a ten yard game or seven yard game or whatever
it is. You keep that drive alive. They were pressing
at the end of that game unnecessarily. And I'll say this,
Matthew Stafford can still spend it with the best of
them even if you get to him. And at certain
times Jared Burst looked like a reincarnation of Aaron Donnell
on the edge. I mean, he made some plays where
(02:07:33):
you were like, oh my god, how are you going
to block this kid? So I think that's the thing
you have to look at.
Speaker 3 (02:07:38):
Now.
Speaker 2 (02:07:38):
You got match Carolsby coming up, and you got to
ask you, Jensy, who will hit you for two hundred
if you don't watch it. So that's the thing.
Speaker 1 (02:07:44):
You got to let that game go.
Speaker 2 (02:07:46):
And then also to me, Gino is going to give
you one or two times, what are you gonna do
with that? Make sure you pick Geno off. He's prowing
seven interceptions. So what he put on tape to me
says he's.
Speaker 1 (02:07:57):
Gonna do it again.
Speaker 2 (02:07:58):
Let me be the one cross or you know, one
of the guys in the backfield, Chargius Various Ward Cam,
one of you guys pick him off and try to
take it to the house because he's going to give
you that opportunity.
Speaker 7 (02:08:12):
Hey Charles, I'm glad you brought this up, because that's
where I was going to go with this. The Colts
offensive line, it was kind of lost in the shuffle
of things that went wrong. Ten men on the field
Xavian Howard ad Mitchell, but the offensive line didn't have
a great afternoon whatsoever in Southern California. Now you have
to deal with an absolute game or wrecker as they
didn't do very well. And Jared Verse last week, how
(02:08:35):
do you think this group should handle Max Crosby Sunday?
Speaker 2 (02:08:40):
Yeah, I think you're going to see a lot of
ship You're going to see a lot of tight end
on that side when they can making sure that Max
Crosby doesn't just have free reign because he's a guy
that can be a creature when you let him, and
you can't just let him come off the edge. JT
has also done a nice job of shipping out of
the backfield. He bustled up a couple of ribs last
(02:09:00):
week and the week before, so.
Speaker 13 (02:09:02):
I think you'll see some of that.
Speaker 2 (02:09:03):
But Tyler Warren to that side, even if they go
Moley Cox, you'll.
Speaker 1 (02:09:08):
See some of that.
Speaker 2 (02:09:08):
So it just doesn't let him go free rain. Now
when they flip him to the weak side, that's where
you have to worry. And I think that's the part
to me. If they move him around or they just
try to put him in places where they can have
him come at you and you're not expecting it. I
think we'll see that from the Raiders, and if you're
the cult, you got to be ready for that.
Speaker 7 (02:09:28):
So Charles Arbuckle for the Colts Radio Network, he's always
been an analyst for this show, the former tight ends
of the Anymore at the Motive Group pot Line, we
will catch up with you again next week and I
thoroughly expect this team to be four and one and
getting the Cardinals here all the inbound coming up the
week after this. But Charles, I appreciate you have a
great weekend.
Speaker 1 (02:09:48):
Thank you you too.
Speaker 2 (02:09:50):
Man enjoying these baseball games.
Speaker 1 (02:09:52):
You've got that.
Speaker 7 (02:09:53):
Charles Arbuckle on Anymore on the Montive Group Putline, I
should mention that both Ali Pierce and Megan's all this
were back second straight days for each in practice.
Speaker 3 (02:10:01):
Michael Pittman Junior was new to the.
Speaker 7 (02:10:04):
Injury list as he was limited with a hamstring situation
and still not practicing. You know about kennymore the second,
Tyler Goodson, Daniel Scott not practicing earlier today. I went
to give us an up day's leader on the Cubs
on the board. On the board they ran you Darvish
already on that game at the bottom of the second inning,
still batting, nobody out and the base is.
Speaker 5 (02:10:25):
Juiced yup, It's gonna be good. Cleveland's got a little
rally going here, but they're gonna have to do something
in the eighth because they're not gonna be able to
score five ninth.
Speaker 3 (02:10:34):
So Matt and Lindsey rejoined. We'll get you updated on
what's going.
Speaker 7 (02:10:37):
On in Cleveland with the Guardians down trying to make
a last dish effort here on the bottom of the
eighth inning to put some runs on the board. Down
six to one of the Tigers, Cubs won Podreys nothing.
As I mentioned, the Cubs batting with nobody out and
the bases loaded in the bottom of the second inning
and running you darvish the podres right hand and we'll
come back.
Speaker 3 (02:10:57):
With you on the other side.
Speaker 7 (02:10:58):

Speaker 7 (02:12:08):
Yeah, the Cub's got two runs, but they probably should
have had more, to be quite honest with you.
Speaker 5 (02:12:12):
They should have. Cleveland could have too. They are thrown
out a second there on that overthrow, but still pull
them for these guardians, they just don't score a lot
of runs, so it's not looking great.
Speaker 3 (02:12:21):
