Speaker 1 (00:10):
And where we go here?
Speaker 2 (00:13):
Anything you have a chance against us?
Speaker 1 (00:14):
Mister cowboy? Hey, what do you like to do? Oh?
Speaker 3 (00:19):
I don't know. Play chess?
Speaker 1 (00:21):
Screw Feller's play chest.
Speaker 4 (00:23):
They give off the Jonathan Taylor chuck cutting it his
way walk to the goal line. He's in there, put
down and why Jonathan Taylor were finds corn?
Speaker 3 (00:36):
Here's haliberd into the front court mishandled it against a
shot he hits it.
Speaker 4 (00:43):
John, I have never been bedroom to be on the
air with you here in Indianapolis, a place where so
many of my dreams have come true.
Speaker 3 (00:51):
With a ride with JMV on ninety three five and
one oh seven five the Fan.
Speaker 4 (00:56):
Hey, I feel like getting started on this Thursday. You know,
whenever we're here in Greenwood, I don't know if it's
just being in Greenwood or the fact we're here, but
it is always a glorious day as it is outside
on this afternoon in October. Thank you very much for
joining us. We're at the ale Emporium in Greenwood. So
this is County Line and Emersony know the location. Larcendiy
(01:20):
Bourbon Locks, Lunazul Tequila shots week six coming straight at
you and that begins with the Eagles and the Giants
coming up later on tonight, So full scale discussion on that,
and we've got a lot to get to. I know,
Mike Chapel per usual on the five o'clock hour, and
that's good because you got guys back, and you got
(01:40):
guys not practicing. No Grover Stewart earlier today, we'll see
how problematic that is. Alec Pierce kind of a similar
set of circumstances as he went through a week ago,
and then even more so magnified on the side of
the Cardinals Kyler Murray and what looks to be like
(02:02):
a dude that's not going to play. Thus you will
end up watching former Colts quarterback and former quarterback. And
I know it sounded like osabing a jackass regarding Jacoby Bursett,
and I was, and I just was being real about
it that you can kind of dress that up however
you want. But the Cardinals haven't been good here recently
(02:23):
and have been doing themselves in and having their multi
threat quarterback where a sore toe either out there and
trying to play or just not out there at all,
is not a good thing. And there's really no way
at all you can make that into a good thing,
So that is problematic. We're gonna go ahead and take
(02:43):
this number, I think, as we could take it as
quickly as possible. The Colts are seven point favorites as
of right now, so we better and get that number
before it changes here because it should be a strong
performance as we anticipate for the Colts up on Sunday,
that is Week six, that is the matchup with the
(03:03):
Arizona Cardinals, and the Colts have positioned themselves to start
the season at four and one, really as best as
anybody would have thought or you could have asked for. Clearly,
had you not blanked up the game against the Rams
a couple of weeks ago, it would look even better.
But I think what you did in that game is
(03:25):
and I hate to say this because it's so lame,
nobody's being taught. You didn't say, well, you know what
it took us to lose a game, and that way
to learn anything. But you do find out some things
about your team that you can move on from, and
hopefully they did that after that loss. And again, it
doesn't matter about the whole schedule and the softness.
Speaker 1 (03:48):
What matters is you take care of who you play.
Speaker 4 (03:52):
That's what matters the most, and that's going to matter
again coming up against Arizona. And that's in here on
some day at one o'clock. I have bullseye passes coming
straight at you. A little bit later on today before
I get started, and Brent Holverson and then Casey here
from the Ale is going to join, and you guys
are going to join throughout the course of the afternoon
as well, either on the stream, uh the text line
(04:15):
if you will three one seven, two, three nine ten
seventy or that same number on the phone.
Speaker 1 (04:21):
It is a bummer about TJ McConnell.
Speaker 4 (04:25):
And when Jake and I were doing the crossover, when
we were kind of jacking around with music and all
that like we normally do, brought to you by love
hitting an air, I didn't want to get back to this.
I don't ever look at a guy. What's TJ thirty
two thirty three years of age, when a guy that
has that much energy and his entire game is predicated
(04:50):
on that, his entire game. He is as good as
he is because of how fast he plays, how already plays. Man.
The hamstring injury concerns me and I don't care if
it's early, if it's mid.
Speaker 1 (05:09):
If it is late.
Speaker 4 (05:10):
If anybody out there has ever had a hamstring injury,
a popping or a tweaking and the lower extremities, or
a soft body injury, it is commonly referred to. Now,
if you've ever had that, you know, on whatever level
we're talking about, you know exactly what I'm talking about too.
Speaker 1 (05:27):
I don't have to explain it, and you're.
Speaker 4 (05:29):
Just you are describing a dude that plays that way,
and he is as good as he has. He's that
legitimate of a threat because of how hard he plays.
So when I saw that in that first preseason game,
I was bummed and I kind of wondered.
Speaker 1 (05:51):
And you know, Jake might be right about this.
Speaker 4 (05:53):
I mean, maybe you set the timeline as a month
or even more just because you want to make sure
said to him, you want to make sure that he
is healthy, and then he is even more than just healthy,
if that makes sense, completely back, because if you really
push this at all or come back at the wrong time,
(06:16):
and I'm assuming that he won't, but with a guy that.
Speaker 1 (06:19):
Plays that hard that level at all the time, that.
Speaker 4 (06:25):
Is something worth noting, and that does concern me campaign
is in and so I'll Delane wright man the head
to head situation. The other nine was a bummer and
then he gets stitches and gets waved by the pacers.
Speaker 1 (06:44):
And campaign is in here.
Speaker 4 (06:46):
I'd mentioned that a little bit earlier somebody had asked me, man,
this is a cruel business, and a it can be.
Certainly it is hardcore and is a business. But she
kind of wondered when Pain was brought in with his availability,
if there wasn't going to be something that is lingering
even more lengthy with teach Jan McConnell, and certainly it is.
I do want to thank Greg Rakestraw for the past
two days. I appreciate that all your well wishes. Jess
(07:07):
bre Indiana will never be the same. I dropped my phone,
which was great, and I thought I just dropped it
on the carpet. I dropped it on the carpet and
it's all foo bar and I don't have the passcode,
so I gotta wait.
Speaker 1 (07:21):
It's funny. It's a funny situation.
Speaker 4 (07:22):
I've got to wait until folks get back from Canada
for me to get the pass code. So I'm I'm
working with a really whacked out looking screen right now,
so I need my magnifying glass to see things.
Speaker 1 (07:34):
But no, no, it's all good.
Speaker 4 (07:35):
Had a great time there, had a great time yesterday
as well. But Greg, as he normally does, an absolute
outstanding job. And we are happy with our large city
bourbon locks and Luna is with the key of the
shots to be live in Greenwood once again and normally
we come here and the weather is incredible, and it
is again on this October day. And joining me Brent
(07:57):
Halverson of heaven Hill Distillery at the al Import.
Speaker 1 (08:00):
I'm in Greenwood. How are we doing? Outstanding? My friend?
Good to be back here right, yes, beautiful sunny Greenwood.
Speaker 4 (08:05):
Last last time we were on together, you were getting
ready to go out to a little senior day. I
was senior, not in this case I was They did
you get? Did you get a little dusty little terry?
Speaker 1 (08:16):
I tell you what man I did? I did?
Speaker 5 (08:18):
That was a that was a first for just the
emotions that happened, right like your little girls growing up
in last Like.
Speaker 1 (08:25):
Philly Squire once said, your emotions were emotion.
Speaker 5 (08:28):
That's right, absolutely, no, it was great. The girls played
great one all three sets at night. Uh actually have
their last game regular season game tonight New pal so
right at this will be jetting out to New Pound
and then sectional draw was last Sunday and the sexual
season is starting up, so we'll see.
Speaker 1 (08:45):
How that all goes.
Speaker 4 (08:45):
Oh man, and highly competitive, maybe the most competitive that
we have seen that that sport has just been on
the rise for more than a decade now. It really
has level talent. It's pretty fun to watch.
Speaker 5 (08:58):
And you know, I can remember back in the day
and wasn't really my thing, you know, I was I
was baseball was my gig. But uh, Lisa, as you know,
she played in college, so she was all about it
and throughout the years. Now I've found myself a big fan.
So it's it's been fun to watch what the girls
grow up through it and uh coming to their senior season,
then we'll get to do it all again with the
sage for the next few years.
Speaker 1 (09:18):
So how did we do last week on the picks?
Speaker 2 (09:20):
Uh?
Speaker 1 (09:21):
You were eight and seven.
Speaker 4 (09:23):
Eight and seven. That's above five hundred. I'll take it because.
Speaker 1 (09:26):
It looked bad on that day. Or you were eight
and six, sorry, eight and six six, I'll take that
even more.
Speaker 4 (09:30):
I was five hundred, seven and seven Schleiter stepped out
a little bit, did he really eleven and three?
Speaker 1 (09:37):
Eleven and three for three?
Speaker 5 (09:38):
And if you look at it, John, I was looking
at a lot of these games too. I mean, look
at these underdogs that were covering right. He called that
San Francisco plus the eight and a half. He had
Cleveland plus four and a half, Carolina plus one and
a half.
Speaker 4 (09:50):
Denver was a joke. I mean that was Cleveland. A
lot of those games were bad, all bad beats. Holy Cow, Arizona, Yes, Buffalo,
I mean you you just go down the wad Arizonas
fumbling the ball and after an interception and kicking it
into the end zone and then the Arcado, yeah, across
and dropping the football and his coach gets fined by
(10:10):
the team for yelling at his player.
Speaker 5 (10:12):
Great, there was a lot of bad beats last week,
my friend. But that's the NFL and that's the way
things happened.
Speaker 4 (10:17):
So yeah, that's why being eight and six or seven
and seven one am I on the season right now?
Speaker 1 (10:21):
Without eight and six? You are you have a talentgy
good I do you were at I'm making everybody out
there money. You are? You're forty six and thirty two.
Speaker 4 (10:29):
Forty six and thirty two, and everybody out there that
says I don't know what I'm talking about can smooch it.
Forty six and thirty two. It's pretty impressive making money
right there. That is straight ahead. If I had the
you know, wants to bet, which I don't normally, So if.
Speaker 5 (10:43):
You played one hundred dollars a game, you would be
up fourteen hundred layoffs some juice, you'd be have twelve
hundred bucks.
Speaker 1 (10:49):
How about that?
Speaker 4 (10:50):
Hey, by the way, which there was a hook that
beat us last week too?
Speaker 1 (10:53):
What was that?
Speaker 4 (10:54):
Because we mentioned the hook it was a three and
a half, and I think we got beat on a
three and a half somewhere if I remember correctly, I
should probably know that. I can't remember where it was,
but I thought we all got beat on a three
and a half.
Speaker 5 (11:06):
One of the most did I remember looking at that.
I think it was it it might have been was
that Philly Denver.
Speaker 4 (11:13):
Well, that definitely was was pretty terrible too, because Philly
started out it incredible game and then failed miserably late
in the game.
Speaker 1 (11:22):
So yeah, I don't.
Speaker 4 (11:22):
Will Yeah anyway, all right, we'll get started and looking
at the games in week number six coming up in
just a second.
Speaker 1 (11:29):
But Casey is.
Speaker 4 (11:29):
Here as well with us from the ALM Porum. If
I remember correctly, a year ago, Casey picked and did
an outstanding Johns She really did. Now unfortunately Casey cannot
pick here today.
Speaker 1 (11:38):
Correct she cannot. She's got some obligations to step out too.
Speaker 5 (11:42):
But Casey, it is a pleasure to have you back,
and thank you for having us back.
Speaker 1 (11:46):
This is pretty awesome. How you doing.
Speaker 6 (11:47):
I'm doing great. It's great to have you guys here.
Speaker 5 (11:49):
Wonderful, pretty exciting because last year I think we were
talking about a new upcoming new ale emporium that's going
to be opening up, and I think you might have
a little bit more to tell us where that stands
right now, right, Yeah.
Speaker 6 (12:00):
We're headed to the West side. We're headed to Avon.
We're super super excited. A lot of people have been asking.
We keep telling them we're going to give him a update,
and yeah, we're excited to say it's looking very good
for early January.
Speaker 1 (12:14):
Early January.
Speaker 5 (12:15):
Okay, all right, so right around the corner and you're
going to be taking over his GM up there right
look at Dan.
Speaker 6 (12:20):
Well, so many great things on the west side, and
I'm I'm kind of more in that direction. So been
commuting for a long time and I'm ready to be
closer to home.
Speaker 1 (12:30):
That's awesome.
Speaker 5 (12:31):
And I believe Michael is going to be joining us
at the four o'clock are to do some pics today, John, Yes,
who will also be going up there to work in
Avon with you, right.
Speaker 2 (12:39):
Yeah.
Speaker 6 (12:39):
Yeah, he's been working here in Greenwood for I believe
just over a year. So yeah, he's learning what it
takes to be in the back of the house and
help run a restaurant.
Speaker 1 (12:49):
That's awesome.
Speaker 5 (12:49):
Yeah, we had a great time up with Tony and
the Ale Fisher's crew two weeks back. Yes, and you know,
Tony kind of filled us in on a couple of
things as well. And yet John poking for thousand.
Speaker 1 (13:01):
That was I was poking for information.
Speaker 4 (13:03):
I'm not going to put you on the spot today.
I learned my lesson back then. And oh man, so
too many people telling me stuff.
Speaker 1 (13:13):
Yeah.
Speaker 6 (13:13):
Well, I asked him. I said, am I allowed to
even say January yet? And he was like, yeah, I
think it's fine. He goes, but you might get asked
a couple of questions and I said, oh no, no, no,
I've already I've already laid down the yeah down the
way solidly down.
Speaker 4 (13:27):
Yes.
Speaker 1 (13:28):
So this this is a brand new build out.
Speaker 5 (13:29):
Your store is gonna be brand new, which is awesome
when I'd taken over a brand new place. I mean,
what you guys did here in transformation of the ale
here in Greenwood is unreal. But to see what starts
when you guys can take something from ground ground up
is going to be pretty astonishing.
Speaker 6 (13:43):
It's it's beautiful and kind of to put it into perspective,
here in Greenwood, we see on average, you know, three
twenty five, three fifty in total, we're looking at you know,
right around five hundred right.
Speaker 1 (13:52):
Now for Avon.
Speaker 6 (13:53):
So it's a big, big store, beautiful patio, it's going
to be enclosed, heated, so yeah, and TV every wall.
It's it's beautiful. It's insane.
Speaker 5 (14:02):
What does the ild castleton hold? You know what that
number is with the with the ninth edition that's been
added on.
Speaker 4 (14:07):
There, and so I managed that makes it look like
a college or university is yeah.
Speaker 6 (14:13):
Yeah, so it's I'm not sure after the expansion what
that looks like. And they have a brand new kitchen there,
so it's beautiful.
Speaker 2 (14:19):
Too.
Speaker 5 (14:19):
It is it is, so you're gonna be able to
trump it all. Now you're like, oh, let's look at mine. Yes,
I love it.
Speaker 1 (14:24):
That's good stuff, all right, case you and we're ready
to go here.
Speaker 4 (14:28):
And then obviously, uh, you got Thursday night football, got
a busy weekend of college football here, you got all
you in Oregon, which we're going to talk about coming
up at a minute, forduing Minnesota. A lot of great
football going on.
Speaker 1 (14:40):
This is the place here in Greenwood? Is it not?
Speaker 2 (14:43):
This is it?
Speaker 4 (14:44):
I'm sorry? Yes, yes, it is. It is. Indeed. Now
do you have any picks for us in.
Speaker 1 (14:49):
Closing here at all? Any thoughts on any of these
games at all? Have you looked or are you just
too busy? You know, you.
Speaker 6 (14:54):
Know there's been a lot going on with everything with Avon,
but you know, the Colts have surprised I think everybody
this season. So I'm just gonna I'm just gonna focus
on that.
Speaker 4 (15:05):
Daniel Jones fifth in completion percentage third and passing yards
first in qb R. I think you would take that
and take that and take that, especially after the recent
history of futility at that particular position.
Speaker 1 (15:21):
It has been something.
Speaker 6 (15:23):
It's been fun to watch, that's for sure.
Speaker 4 (15:25):
And hopefully that continues coming up on Sunday against Arizona. Hey,
thanks for having us today too. I'm sorry you can't pick.
Michael will pick, but uh he'll pick with you in
mind in the four o'clock now, okay, here in heart, gotcha. Thanks,
you appreciate it.
Speaker 1 (15:38):
Thanks you.
Speaker 4 (15:39):
It's Casey the Alamporium with us right here. Brun I
mentioned this too. I do want to move. We got
some baseball later off tonight. We got baseball yesterday. I
thought it was an outstanding day of baseball the postseason yesterday.
We'll get to that in a second, but I did
want to ask you. You don't have to do it
right now. I don't want to put you on the
spot directly, but you have number seven and number three
in Eugene coming up at three on Saturday afternoon. That's
(16:01):
IU and Oregon. Have you thought much about that number
and I would like to have a pick on that
a little bit later on, if you don't mind, because
that is one of the most important games of the weekend,
without question, but also in terms of you, I'll just
say this, with the expectations that people have for that matchup,
(16:23):
there is a significant opportunity once again, as Indiana is
always doing and the Pacers know this very well. You
always seem like you have to reprove yourself in some
form or fashion, and IU football is going to try
to do that against a very talented, very fast, very
athletic Oregon team coming up on Saturday afternoon.
Speaker 5 (16:46):
Yeah, that's going to be a true test right there.
I mean, they have looked great so far in Oregon. Man,
that's gonna be a tough place to go in. Eugene's
a beautiful city, beautiful stadium, wonderful, wonderful school there.
Speaker 1 (16:56):
It's gonna be tough.
Speaker 5 (16:57):
I think it's I think the number sitting at seven
and a half looking to we'll tighten up on that
number and we'll talk through that a little bit.
Speaker 1 (17:02):
But gonna be a true test out there.
Speaker 5 (17:04):
I mean, gotta love getting you know, if it is
still seven and a hook, I definitely take that hook,
you know. I think it's going to be a close battle,
and I think I like the over. You gotta like
the over. With a couple of high powered offenses there.
Speaker 4 (17:16):
And now the defenses is what can either defense stop
the other offense? I guess or who's going to throw
one to stop here or there? And normally you want
to stop here or there. You're talking about that, you're
talking about a turnover. Oh, absolutely, that's That's the one thing,
especially in I'm not breaking new ground on theories here,
(17:36):
but the one thing that you absolutely has to stay
away from is giving the ball and especially short field
opportunities to an Oregon team that's as talented as anybody.
Speaker 1 (17:47):
And we just saw that.
Speaker 4 (17:48):
And I know, not a great example right now, because
you know, you saw them two weeks ago to a
Happy Valley and bet Penn State and then Pennchtate goes
to UCLA with a huge hangover and travel and James
Franklin crying about that and they to AWF or Ucla.
So that example is not as good as it once was.
But that is still as talented of a team as
you're going to find in college football right now. So
(18:12):
possessions maximize it and press the issue and hang in
there and make things uncomfortable for an Oregon Ducks team.
Speaker 2 (18:21):
Absolutely a game.
Speaker 5 (18:21):
And look what they just did the Penn State too, right,
I mean they went in and beat Penn State ranke
number three and thirty to twenty four. So that was
the most points set to Oregon had allowed all years.
So the defense is gonna hold up. And again we're
gonna have two high powered offenses there. So that'll be
a game to watch, my friend.
Speaker 4 (18:38):
We'll get your pick on that coming up a little
bit later on too. I'd mentioned for due in Minnesota
at seven point thirty from Minneapolis coming up, and you've
got MC State, You've got number sixteen Notre Dame, three
thirty coming up on Saturday, and then a lot going
on throughout the state of Indiana. Now, major League Baseball wise,
are you sitting back and you're falling in love with that?
(19:00):
I thought yesterday was absolutely outstanding all the way around.
You had some drama, you had some big moments, you
had some big decisions. I think it's all what you want.
And he had like four games on the day too,
which is thrilling. It was weird how the Tigers, oh,
I should say the Mariners got off early and then
the Tigers go lay thank you, Casey, But you know,
(19:23):
the Blue Jays closing out the Yankees.
Speaker 1 (19:25):
You get extensions with schwarbur and.
Speaker 4 (19:27):
A couple of home runs and one that I hit
he hit out into the Pacific. I mean, it was calm,
and you could tell that was a dude that had
scuffled really at the end. I think he was zero
for eighteen at one point coming out of the regular
season and into the postseason. But you could tell that
(19:48):
his lack of production so far in the postseason that
was something he was ready to bust out of.
Speaker 1 (19:53):
Because he did in a big way last night.
Speaker 4 (19:56):
So the phil stay alive, the Cubs stay alive, the
Yankees go home, the Blue Jays move on, and uh,
you know, obviously we're going to see a decisive game
number five with the Tigers and the Mariners as well.
Speaker 1 (20:08):
All good stuff yesterday, a lot of great stuff. I was.
Speaker 5 (20:10):
You know, that Yankees game was pretty surprising too, because
they came back in three right when that was just
an amazing Yankee team that came out and did what
they did, Judge hitting that big home run, take the lead,
take the win, and the kind of had a little
bit higher aspirations. But that Blue Jay squad is pretty
pretty tough, and they've kind of owned the Yankees this year.
So they're moving on, like you said, And then we
(20:31):
do have we got the that Brewers Cubs matchup. Brewers
up to one of that right now. I think that's
going to be a very good game today as well.
And then you know the Phillies, they're they're down to one,
but they did win one back in big fashion. Like
I said, with Schwarber and man, it was all off
Clayton Kershaw coming in on the and was it the
fifth inning, I think, and it just got tattooed. But yeah,
(20:51):
playoff baseball, John. I wish, I so wish that we
had a little bit more action talk about our Cincinnati Reds,
but we saw how that works out.
Speaker 1 (21:00):
Zero way.
Speaker 4 (21:01):
They are deserving of really competing with anybody that we
have watched here in the last couple of days. Yeah,
that's because we talked about the bats and the hitting.
They don't have that. The depth of pitching, they don't
have that. They were just kind of lucky to get
the invite, you know what I mean.
Speaker 1 (21:18):
They were.
Speaker 4 (21:19):
It was like me in high school at the older folks.
But if I was going to the class of eighty
four and I was just lucky to get the invite,
I'm in eighth grade and the class of eighty four says, yeah,
you know what, we like that kid. Listen invite him.
I was just lucky to get the invitation. Just like
the retch.
Speaker 5 (21:33):
Well, you got to hope that put plants a little
seed for hey next year a little further, what.
Speaker 4 (21:37):
Are we gonna do? We hoped they planted a seed
for like a decade and a half.
Speaker 1 (21:40):
Well, I'd say it's been longer than that. But yeah,
it has been a while.
Speaker 5 (21:43):
You know, think back to nineteen ninety so true sweep
in the A's. We're gonna get back to that, right,
But we need a little bit more pitching. We need
to get that big thirty five forty home run guy
on the team.
Speaker 1 (21:53):
Yeah, in some consistency. But let me see, I'm going
to hold my breath until we see that.
Speaker 4 (21:58):
And it's really well, what do you like here? As
far as the series that remain? Those advancing to both
the NLCS? We have one rep in the al right
now they await another. But both the NLCS and the ALCS,
what do you like about potential matchups there?
Speaker 5 (22:15):
Well, I tell you, I mean, I think it's going
to be tough for the Cubbies. I would like to
see Cubbies move forward that Milwaukee squad stuff. I think
I think they put it away tonight. I think it's
gonna be interesting. I think Glasnow and Sanchez pitching tonight
for Phillies and Dodgers. I think that probably gets evened up,
and then I think we'll see I think LA is
going to be the stronger team there to move on.
And then you know, the Tiger game is the one
(22:37):
that's going to be the thing, right because they're tied
at twos. Now get Scooball pitching, He's going to be
a tough one to beat. I'd see the Tigers kind
of sneaking through there. So a lot of fun baseball left,
Dear John, Like say, with the Blue Jays moving on,
they're showing their flexing their muscles right now.
Speaker 1 (22:52):
That is s Britt Holverson.
Speaker 4 (22:53):
More on that coming up, But I do want to
get into the week six picks and that begins later
on tonight with the Eagles and Giants will officially make
them and you can play along with us coming up
in the four o'clock hour. We got that for you.
But Brent and I on the other side, with a
little bit more on that. We should remind folks here
at County Line and Emerson at the Alamporium as always.
Speaker 5 (23:14):
You've got the samples that are flowing right Brent, absolutely,
come on up. We've got some wonderful stuff here. And
again some of the best wings you ever have are
right here, so you can pare a nice larceny and
ginger ale with some Hermanachi wings, maybe a little Lunazul Tekila,
some deep Eddie vodka. There's all kinds of good stuff here.
Come on up and let's have some fun.
Speaker 4 (23:33):
Al Emporium with the samples flowing on this Thursday, and
again it is great to be back. Thanks to Greg
Rakestraw for holding it down for a couple of days.
Here today at the al Emporium in Greenwood. At tomorrow
Sam's Silver Circle, I'll have Cardinals Colts tickets for you
tomorrow on a bud Light Blue Friday, right over there
(23:54):
by Fountain Square again at Sam's Silver Circle that is
coming up on tomorrow. Show all right, two, three, nine,
ten seventy. If you guys got something to say, you
go ahead and chime in. We'll take that. More on
the college game as well. We'll get to our picks
regarding AU and Oregon coming up a little bit later
on Mike Chappel with a rundown of those as I
(24:15):
mentioned a little bit earlier that practice and those that
didn't in front of this matchup against the Cardinals coming
up on Sunday, probably more focus on the other side,
with the status or lack thereof, of Kyler Murray coming
up on Sunday, Mike Chappell coming up at the five
o'clock hour, bullseye passes to give away as well. We
(24:35):
got the text line moving as well. At three one, seven, two,
three nine, ten seventy. Dev's the engineer on site, Isabella
and Chad doing promotions. Braden's here watching James back at
the studio. Brent and John have Week six picks. We
have samples flowing on a Larcenie Bourbon lockx Luna Zuel
tequila shots Thursday. Aileen Porham in Greenwood, the Stream, the

Speaker 7 (25:19):
Let me have a Dieblo Sandwich Doctor Beck, I make
it fast.
Speaker 3 (25:22):
I'm gonna go Damn Murray ninety three five and one
oh seven five the fan.
Speaker 4 (25:29):
I love the fact that the NBA preseasons back. I
didn't want to give you a heads up on that.
So you get the Thunder and the Pacers on Saturday,
and I know it's the preseason.
Speaker 1 (25:40):
People will scoff at that.
Speaker 4 (25:41):
That's okay, But Brooks Barnheiser plays for the Thunder from
Lafia Jeff friend of ours and his dad's the coach
of Lafia Jeff longtime friend of ours too, Mark Barnheiser.
But Brooks has been seeing a lot of time and
playing well so far. I think they played two games
(26:02):
maybe in this preseason to this point, and I think
right now he's a part of a two way situation
in Oklahoma City. But it should be worth noting with
his presence coming up on Saturday night as well as
we officially get started with the Pacers in the preseason.
That was bad news earlier today regarding TJ McConnell. I'm
(26:23):
not going to tell you it wasn't expected because when
you hear hamsterring, especially with somebody that is rapid movement
like that that is never good. I want to say
he's old, because no, I'm old. He's not old. But still,
in NBA years, you get into your thirties at that position,
and you play that fast and you have a hamstring
(26:45):
injury that could be detrimental. So here's hoping that this
is just a bit of a bump in the road
and he gets back there and is as good as advertised.
Because I listen, he's necessary, he's necessar. I still have
a firm belief and I'm not suggesting at all a
preseason game where the starters were in their dress clothes
(27:08):
by the end of the game should be something you
should look at and play into your thought on a season.
Speaker 1 (27:14):
But to me, it's beyond that.
Speaker 4 (27:16):
I believe that this group can still play at a
higher competitive level in the Eastern Conference. I firmly believe it,
And with the minutes you saw in night number one
for them against Minnesota, that did not at all persuade
(27:37):
me to believe otherwise, Man, you have to have guys
like that. I've said that for a number of years,
and then everybody finally started believing me regarding him being
essential personnel on this team, and TJ McConnell. When you
know every numbnut out there tried to trade him nineteen
different times. He is absolutely essential for the way that
(27:58):
they play in what they do. So get back and
be good to go when you get back.
Speaker 1 (28:06):
As well.
Speaker 4 (28:06):
The hamstring injury for a guy that moves around like
that can be tough. So here's hoping that he gets
back and he is what you usually see in TJ McConnell,
because that is a musk campaign is in here now.
You remember him with the Knicks a year ago as well,
(28:27):
longtime NBA or left handed guard who is going to
try to make this spacer's.
Speaker 1 (28:32):
Team right now?
Speaker 4 (28:34):
As I mentioned, they get okay, see coming up on Saturday,
a lemporium. We're in Greenwood today with the large and
the bourbon locks and a lunas Ul tequila shots Thursday.
Thank you all for joining us today. The free samples
are flowing. I'm a little bit late to the party
ride here. I think I'm like thirty five minutes in
and there's no there's no largity and no ginger ale
(28:55):
out here. Brit We got to talk about with you,
don't we We do because that was my fault. I
had a big meeting here, I saw, right, didn't it
set there for five minutes before I even saw you
on this big meeting, the big meetings.
Speaker 5 (29:07):
Just doing some stuff to do some stuff, you know.
So yeah, no, but we're gonna get you all lined
up here.
Speaker 4 (29:12):
All right, mend up the lined up needs all right,
you've been thinking about some things here.
Speaker 1 (29:17):
I want to double back. You want to do some college.
Speaker 4 (29:19):
Early quick before we get into some of the more
interesting games.
Speaker 1 (29:22):
In week six of the NFL. Yes, absolutely, all right?
What do you want to start? You got that in
front of you right here.
Speaker 4 (29:27):
The college weekend that obviously is highlighted by a trip
to Eugene at a bottle of top tens between.
Speaker 1 (29:32):
You and Oregon coming up at three thirty Saturday afternoon.
Speaker 5 (29:35):
So I think that's gonna again, it's going to be
a very very big, huge game. They're both fight. Like
you said, it's gonna be a it's gonna be tough game, right.
I think this is a one. I mean, so right now,
Oregon seven and a half. And you know, as much
as I don't want to say it, I kind of
lean that Oregon side right now. If that hook wasn't hanging,
But that being said, watch that line a little bit.
Speaker 1 (29:56):
Is it more than just a hook though, is it?
Speaker 4 (29:58):
Maybe it's it's a home date and that's why the
hook is there.
Speaker 1 (30:02):
I mean the home date.
Speaker 4 (30:03):
And you've got a team that is fast and there
still again this profound disbelief and I U football. It's
just something like I said, the Pacers, You're always going
to have to prove and reprove until further notice.
Speaker 1 (30:20):
I don't make the rules. I just know how it works,
and that's how it works, and.
Speaker 5 (30:23):
It is I mean again that twelfth Man being a
home is going to be huge for Oregon. That's something
that you know, wish they were playing and blew me
to me because that would shift that whole gear, right,
I mean, it would be a whole different story. But
if you look back at and we just talked about it,
We'regon going into Penn State and getting the w there.
Very close game, very close game, but they came out
on top. They've got a good squad. Like I said,
they're fast. I think it's going to be a higher
(30:45):
scoring game. I like the over is probably my favorite play,
and of course I'm not I'm going to take that
hook with me. I'd ride those hoosiers, but on the
outskirts looking at things.
Speaker 1 (30:54):
I mean, that's an Oregon game to lose.
Speaker 4 (30:56):
I like, I use opportunity to make Oregon work. Defend, absolutely,
that's what you want, right quarterback and veteran wide receivers
from Surat to Williams. I mean, he's got veteran guys
that I think that are gonna make Oregon's defense work.
And that's why I say to me, it's gonna come
down to who gives the ball away and then who
(31:19):
takes advantage of those giveaways and those that protect are
are those that I think are gonna end up winning
this game.
Speaker 1 (31:27):
That could be the Jennifer I think.
Speaker 4 (31:29):
Also on the other side, you've got basically it don't
get me wrong. I mean there're a lot.
Speaker 1 (31:32):
Of the world that aren't buying into a U.
Speaker 4 (31:34):
Two, and you know a lot of that world is
going to be in Oregon this weekend too, saying yeah,
you know what this ALU thing, no trouble here, and
just kind of moving on. Very talented team is Oregon,
very fast and very athletic.
Speaker 1 (31:48):
But it's your time to shine.
Speaker 5 (31:50):
You want to play pro, you want to play the
best because then you're gonna gonna you're gonna stop some
of those doubters out there. Right, They've got the squad,
they've got the coach to do it too.
Speaker 1 (31:58):
I mean, that's what I love. They just go after him,
so he has to be He is very enjoyable about that.
Speaker 4 (32:04):
They could be up one hundred to two, and he's
gonna he's gonna yell at you if you do something wrong,
He's gonna get in you, you know. So he's been
People like me had that they were never going to
be And really I've thought about that in terms of
basketball here recently too. You know, when they're never going
to be what they want were in basketball and they're
never going to be in football, And they're well on
(32:28):
that path now to be what you're looking for in football.
And we'll see if Darren Devrees can turn the tide
on what they have been mediocre or less here in
recent history in basketball. But I always thought, yeah, I
don't know if they're ever going to be able to
stir the echoes in basketball, and we'll see if he
can do it. But man, taking this football program to
(32:50):
a level that I think most of us never thought
it would be has been impressive, and that's not easy
to do there. You have to have a lot of
people pushing in the same direction and the right guy
as a head coach doing the substantial laboring there.
Speaker 1 (33:06):
And that's exactly what court Signetti has done.
Speaker 5 (33:08):
Oh, it's what he's brought your spot on there. I mean,
how exciting would that be? Right if you got if
IU basketball with NCAA Final Four is home here this
year in twenty six so you know, hey, let's let's
kind of walk through some.
Speaker 1 (33:19):
Things and get through.
Speaker 5 (33:20):
But if we get both those programs up and running,
something we've never seen right now, you know, I mean, honestly,
don that's something like you just said, whoever would have
thought you could take a football program that really just
didn't have any pump behind it and completely turn it
upside down. That is what mister Signetti has done. And
it's gonna be exciting to see him continue and then
hopefully we get that IU basketball right up there with him.
Speaker 1 (33:40):
A what else we got there?
Speaker 4 (33:41):
We got that game and Oregon coming up at three
thirty on Saturday, by the way, I think that's on
ninety three WIBC coming up on Saturday afternoon.
Speaker 1 (33:50):
Yeah, come with I you and Oregon. What else we
got Brown a.
Speaker 5 (33:52):
Couple of big games though, to start to slate twelve
o'clock games, you got to Ohio State number one against Illinois,
which is sitting at seventeen right right now.
Speaker 1 (34:00):
Of course, the only loss that Illinois has was.
Speaker 4 (34:02):
Two r Hoosiers and like a beat down type of
fashion to eight down, you know, and that number is
sitting at fort Ohio State's a fourteen point favorite in Illinois.
Speaker 5 (34:12):
You know, again there's some spot on numbers there. I mean,
I think that's kind of where that game is going
to end up in Land, but it's going to be
a good one to watch. And then another one, I like,
you got number eight Alabama at Missouri also at twelve o'clock,
and I look for Missouri to win this game outright.
I think Missouri is going to win that with that
twelfth man at home. You know, Alabama's four and one,
(34:33):
Missouri five. And Missouri's got a football program this year
looking pretty good. So and then we've got Notre Dame,
which I am not sold on whatsoever.
Speaker 4 (34:40):
There are a lot of people still very sold on them,
even what that defense has shown more often than not
this season.
Speaker 1 (34:47):
Yeah, you know.
Speaker 5 (34:48):
I mean, they're playing n C State, Notrtan Dame is
a twenty three and a half point favorite.
Speaker 4 (34:53):
I think was the number I just saw. But that's
you know again, I'm not sold on them yet.
Speaker 5 (34:57):
I'm not going to touch those games because until I
see them kind of turn the corner a little bit.
But there's some great football. And you know, we also
got the ball State Cardinals on there. I saw they
were playing at was at three thirty as well against
Old Western mister little mac action right there. So Ball
State's not really something we'll talk about a whole lot
with football, but we'll move on from there. And uh yeah,
(35:19):
I'm looking forward to it. Big Day, Big Day Saturday,
and then again Sunday is going to be great. You know,
we've got more bye weeks that we're talking about that
we're gonna have to navigate through. You're going to take
your stellar against the spread pick record and put that online.
Speaker 4 (35:31):
I'm feeling good, right man. That's the best. I think
that's the best I've been in.
Speaker 1 (35:35):
A long long time. Hey, keep it up, man, keep
it up. I'm fade there. I'm fade material. Somebody's got
to sit there, buddy.
Speaker 4 (35:42):
Yeah, go ahead, Yeah, no, somebody's got to sit there
and make picks.
Speaker 1 (35:45):
It's been an interesting season in the NFL.
Speaker 5 (35:48):
So looking forward to talking about that at the here
the next next four o'clock hour.
Speaker 4 (35:52):
So, so now Thursday night football starts with the Eagles
and the Giants.
Speaker 1 (35:56):
Is that where we begin with? It is interest this evening.
Speaker 5 (36:00):
I mean that's ah, you know again on the on
the the very top, looking down, he looks like Philly
should just run with this one, you know, but did
The New York Giants are very decimated right now with
running back and receivers out, and I mean, you know,
losing the leak neighbors, poor Jackson Dart that would have
been a nice one two punch for them to get
started on. And I think Darius Slayton's gonna be out,
(36:22):
So you're gonna be looking a lot of wan Dale Robinson.
You know, it's gonna be interesting. But you know, Philly
sitting at four and one, they just haven't they haven't
looked all that great. I mean they you know, they
had a great lead, looked good last week and then crumbled. Right, Yeah,
it's just just fell down. So that's where're gonna start tonight.
We'll start talking about that, and then we'll roll through
the Sunday games and we've got we've got an early
(36:43):
another across the Pond game.
Speaker 1 (36:44):
Just kick it off at nine thirty. We'll talk about
with Broncos and Jets, and then we've gotten the Vikings
yet to come home. The Vikings finally get to come
home after two weeks.
Speaker 4 (36:52):
Huh yeah, yeah, I have to get away from Europe
and get back to the United States.
Speaker 5 (36:58):
You know, it's really good. I mean for them, it's good.
But to be over there for two weeks and be
able to.
Speaker 4 (37:02):
Have a bull almost like have fifteen by weeks after that, you.
Speaker 1 (37:05):
Might have to do it.
Speaker 4 (37:05):
There's a little bit of time change, but uh yeah.
And then we got we got another double Monday nighter.
I do like these double I'm that too, but they're
pretty close, you know, they're pretty close in time one
seven fifteen, one eight fifteen. But yeah, pretty good slate
out there. You know, we got the return of the
Green Bay Packers.
Speaker 1 (37:20):
They're going to be.
Speaker 5 (37:21):
Playing the uh Cincinnati Bengals in Lambeau and a big
black number with Joe Flacco is the new quick start
a quick turnaround there.
Speaker 1 (37:29):
He's got three days of Lone the playbook.
Speaker 4 (37:30):
Oh yeah, and we saw a lot and I think
we've seen enough of Joe Flacco to I don't know,
I understand.
Speaker 1 (37:38):
If you're the Bengals, you're trying anything right now.
Speaker 4 (37:40):
You're trying to salvage anything you can because of the
loss for the amount of time with Joe Burrow.
Speaker 1 (37:46):
But how is that, I mean, how is that a solution?
Speaker 4 (37:50):
Because you've seen it not be a solution so many
times now, what would make you believe it can be?
Speaker 1 (37:56):
One? There?
Speaker 4 (37:57):
Well, I think I know you have a dynamic wide receiver.
If not one the other one, you've got two of them.
Speaker 5 (38:02):
So really it comes down to you're not gonna have
time to digest the time up with a good five, six,
seven plays that are he's gonna be able to dive
in on and be able to make those calls. Being
such a veteran back there, he's been around for a while,
he's been on a lot of teams, he's got some
playmakers to work with, and he's got a good arm
on him still. But he hasn't looked good this year.
He didn't look good last year. But he's here's how
(38:24):
I look at John. You're not doing anything with Browning.
He's just not going anywhere. You're not getting any activity
going on. You're getting a guy that's gonna come in
there that has all that experience to be able just
to say, hey, let's go play some background football. Let
me draw it out of my hand like we used
to out in the field, right, Like I'm gonna go
down to run a post. He go down and run
a curl, go deep, Jase, you know, I mean, that's
how it's gonna get. I think it'll be interesting and
(38:46):
big fat number fourteen point favorite Green Bay Packers.
Speaker 1 (38:50):
It's gonna be interesting.
Speaker 5 (38:51):
Hopefully they're coming off of a buye and gonna be
refreshed and not pull a not pull another Cleveland Brown game.
Speaker 4 (38:57):
Yeah, Colts Cade Arizona. We're gonna watch the whole situation.
Kyler Murray My Chapel joins us in the five o'clock hour.
Kenny Moore the second the Achilles Tyler Goodson has a
groin situation. Grover Stewart with an injury too, did not
practice earlier today. Alec Pierce trying to get past concussion protocol.
Taekwon Lewis was back today with an illness. He had
(39:21):
yesterday and Braden Smith rested yesterday. Those three all did
practice a little bit earlier today and that's going to
be a part of our largnite bourbon locks of Luna's
will to keep the shots for week number six, where
Arizona and the Colts.
Speaker 1 (39:32):
As of right now seven point favorites.
Speaker 4 (39:34):
At home are the Colts, and we'll do those games
with Michael here at the al Emporium. Coming up here
at the top of the hour the Street and the
app AHD Radio. We've got more on tonight's pivotal performances
in Major League Baseball what to look out for, as
well more.
Speaker 1 (39:49):
On the college game and the NBA preseason.
Speaker 4 (39:51):
We have a new on the inbound team USA head
coach which is about ready to officially be announced.
Speaker 1 (39:59):
We'll do that as well. Coming up on the other side.
Speaker 4 (40:01):
Week six, large of the bourbon Locks Lunas with the
key the Shots Ale Emporium. We are in Greenwood on
this glorious Thursday. Don't go anywhere, keep it right here.
The samples are.
Speaker 1 (40:11):
Going with Naughty, three to five and one oh seven by.
Speaker 2 (40:13):
The Fan.
Speaker 3 (40:17):
The ride with JMV.
Speaker 1 (40:19):
Say, man, you got a joint?
Speaker 3 (40:22):
Uh No, not on me.
Speaker 1 (40:24):
Man, it'd be a lot cooler if.
Speaker 4 (40:27):
He did.
Speaker 3 (40:29):
Ninety three five and one oh seven five the fan.
Speaker 4 (40:34):
Hey, welcome back to the al Emporium in Greenwood. I'm John,
thank you for joining us. Debs the onside engineer James
back at the studio. Uh, the Thursday night, I guess
you want to call it tonight. It's kind of a
weird schedule. Phillies and Dodgers. That is a game number
four coming up later on this evening. Is the Phillis
(40:57):
try to pull even? Man, they just ran away and
hid with the long ball last night. If he watched
that down two games to one, Dodgers and Phillies at
six oh eight from Chavez Ravine later on tonight. So
that's six oh eight, and then you get the Brewers
and the Cubs at nine o eight tonight, So the
(41:18):
Cubs trying to stay alive and force a decisive game
number five and the NLDS Brewers and Cubs from Wrigley
at nine o eight. Yeah, there's nothing really to debate
or cry about anymore, because you know, you know, the
scheduling always has to do with markets and who's watching
(41:39):
and where the numbers are and so on and so forth,
but that is it coming up later off tonight. So
if those of you had to stay up until around
or a little bit after midnight to finish off the
Phillies and the Dodgers, you do get an early one
at six oh eight, but Cubs fans will be staying
up late.
Speaker 1 (41:56):
That first pitch is around nine eight.
Speaker 4 (42:00):
Coming up later off the night with the Brewers and
the Cubs in Game number four. Brent Halverson rejoins right now.
Any thoughts on either one of those n l DS
matchups later on tonight. I tried to do what Seattle
on Detroit are doing tomorrow.
Speaker 5 (42:15):
Yeah, I think I think Philly is gonna even it up,
and I think Milwaukee's gonna close it out tonight. That's
my first I actually like Milwaukee a little bit, quite
a bit enough to me to put a little wager
on tonight.
Speaker 1 (42:24):
Hey, they made some Cubs fans.
Speaker 4 (42:27):
No Cups fans are just kind of born nervous, but
Mike Reds fans are just born slept rocketsh But I mean,
he fans were a little bit nervous last night, but
they sidestepped it and got it done.
Speaker 1 (42:38):
And that's that's good man watching.
Speaker 4 (42:41):
Uh, watching the Phillies take hold of Vet, you kind
of wondered when some of their guys were gonna start
raking a little bit because they have way too much
polish in that lineup not to get it.
Speaker 1 (42:53):
And they got a little bit of it last night,
for real, didn't they They really did.
Speaker 5 (42:56):
I mean, it's uh, you know again, it's just this
time of year is so exciting, right October. You've got
I mean all kinds of things going on. You know,
we have the NFL, We've got n C Double A
football going on, we got baseball playoffs and there's nothing
more exciting other than the Reds should be a wish
they were stilling it, but that's gonna be something we're
gonna put in the past and again. Playoff baseball in
October is pretty exciting and a lot of fun stuff
(43:17):
to watch. Even the the the pitching matchups, right, you
got them going to the bullpen and everybody pitching two
innings or an inning here, three innings there. You look
at Suarez last night, you know, he looked great, good.
I went for five innings here was good, and you
know he just looked sharp. I mean, so it's really
a mathematical game at this point, you're playing to win
because you don't want to go home, and that's kind
of what you you pull out all stops. So that's
(43:39):
what I love watching playoff baseball, and you see some
of these great performances like Swerver last night, I mean,
just pretty pretty fun to watch. And then I missed
opportunity on a potential double play with Jess.
Speaker 4 (43:48):
She has them fully the Yankees. That leads them down
the path for being done for the.
Speaker 1 (43:52):
Season as well.
Speaker 4 (43:53):
Man, you can connect or make a play here or
there and see what what happens.
Speaker 5 (44:01):
Same time players make big time players, right, that's what
it's all about. And if you don't do it now,
you'll be watching everybody else do it to come the
rest of the month.
Speaker 1 (44:07):
Here, Yeah, those of you asking.
Speaker 4 (44:09):
Yannis, according to ESPN, is going to explore this summer
trade options because he does not believe where that Bucks
team is right now. They are highest level competitive, which
is the reason why Miles Turner left because he believes
that they are highest level competitive. It's weird, so weird, yeah,
(44:29):
the Bucks. Yeah, the Bucks situation one or the.
Speaker 1 (44:32):
Other right there, there's a lot of going on. There's
a lot of.
Speaker 4 (44:35):
Loving parts I imagine that that Miles is going to
be there by himself here relatively soon and then trying
to compete with that Hey. By the way, the spreadability
of wind shoolers available for you original sharpsheddar, makon It seddar,
and jalapeno pepper wind shieler spreadability. I know you can
find it at Central Indiana Myer locations. You can find
it at Gordon Food Service not too far from where
(44:57):
I am right now. But just make sure that you
find it because it should be in your snack in regimen,
whether it's a tailgate, a party, maybe a fall gathering,
or just you on the couch watching a little baseball
or football later on tonight. The spread ability and when
schulers find that in your favorite grocer's refrigerator today are larceny,
bourbon locks, lunas with tequila shots coming up next, Be
(45:19):
ready for it. Week number six ninety three five, one
oh seven five The.
Speaker 3 (45:22):
Fan The Ride with jmv are ninety three five and
one oh seven five The Fan.
Speaker 4 (45:36):
If you could tell these last couple of songs, it's
one Hill Wonders Weekend. I think it'll be one oh
five point seven, so it won't do a lot of
one hit wonders on Saturday night at Jane shild Humbawamba.
So Brent Holferson rejoins ellen Porium and Green would love
to see you here.
Speaker 1 (45:54):
We're gonna get started.
Speaker 4 (45:56):
On the sampling going with our larceny, bourbon locks, lunas
with tequila shots coming at your week six as well.
So what Blake is in Windsor right now? Apparently in
the Caesars casino?
Speaker 1 (46:07):
Wow? Yeah, used to be Yeah, he's there. He just
wanted to go. Yeah, just on a whim. It's windows
those days.
Speaker 4 (46:15):
I get all these pictures of all this Canadian.
Speaker 1 (46:18):
Beer he wants to bring home for me.
Speaker 4 (46:21):
I go, it's got to be ninety calories or less,
or I ain't drinking it. No, I'm not drinking it
unless it's ninety calories or less, buddy. But Nah, he's
uh at season. I think it's Caesar's in Windsor. Ruight,
is there a Caesars in Windsor. I'm assuming there's a
lot of stuff in Windsor.
Speaker 1 (46:41):
I don't know that.
Speaker 4 (46:42):
If he's going to the strip clubs' those are big
deals up there, aren't they? From what I hear John
they are. It's can somebody I do this on the
text line if you like to let me know. Is
anybody ever been to Windsor and is that the main
attraction there? I know a lot of people from Michigan
kind of run over there now and then because you
get out in the I just thought that they were
(47:02):
trying to get away from Michigan.
Speaker 1 (47:04):
Well, I think there's there's a couple of different Is.
Speaker 4 (47:06):
There a couple of different angles on how you want
to quickly get away from the state of Michigan.
Speaker 1 (47:10):
But yeah, I didn't know. Is that the.
Speaker 4 (47:14):
Caesars and then the clubs that you mentioned right? There's
certainly not the Canadian beer? Is there the Canadian beer
that you like? Do you like any Canadian beer?
Speaker 1 (47:24):
You know? I guess I would have to throw out
a little Molson every now and then. Maybe. I don't know.
Speaker 4 (47:28):
We grew up in the era of Molson Golden remember
most absolutely absolutely don't see.
Speaker 1 (47:34):
It so much anymore.
Speaker 4 (47:35):
But evidently there's a moosehead light that I think I
could said was one I used to drink back Obviously,
the bats blue light I drink as well.
Speaker 1 (47:45):
That's all your calorie intake on those. There are they are.
They got to be similar to.
Speaker 4 (47:48):
The I want to say the bat blue light is
around one oh five, maybe one hundred to one oh five.
I've got most of these memorized right now. We're not
going to go to more. We're not going to get
too far above ninety five.
Speaker 5 (48:03):
But you know, if you here's how I look at you,
you're gonna sit down and have a ninety calorie beer.
You have fifteen of them. That adds up, right, Yeah,
that's gonna be the issue, right Harley. He tells me
that there's a Cheetahs location up there. I don't know
if he's at Cheetahs. Huh, I'm not surely either.
Speaker 4 (48:22):
That's where we had my bachelor party in Vegas back
in two thousand.
Speaker 1 (48:26):
It was at Cheetahs.
Speaker 4 (48:27):
We still have some fond memories of that. I'm glad
that there are no pictures present of that. Didn't have
cameras that easy back then. Anyway, probably a good thing.
The old Polaroid was good right there. Largely Breton Lockslin
is don't to kill the shots. Al emporium samples flowing here.
Three samples is what we have for you of the
(48:48):
products which are robust here Heaven hild Distilly products, aren't they?
Speaker 1 (48:52):
They absolutely are.
Speaker 5 (48:53):
And Jc's on our way out, and Tory I think
was her name, Toy is going to be take care
of it. She's got a couple of larcenie gingers coming
over the table, a unzul and soda coming over this
way as well. We've got plenty to be had, so
definitely coming out and wave us down.
Speaker 4 (49:08):
Corey Kenny tells me that he may not come back
the same from Windsor Canada.
Speaker 5 (49:15):
Well, you know what, that's what happens in Canada, stays
in Canada.
Speaker 1 (49:19):
I guess it's an insane rex Amptis says, I can't.
Speaker 4 (49:23):
I mean, my friend can confirm Winsor is legit.
Speaker 1 (49:28):
That's where he is. He wanted to go from what
I hear that is the place to go. It's weird.
So he goes to Windsor, Canada and I go to
stinking Jasper. I don't know how.
Speaker 4 (49:37):
That shakes down the way that it is. And you'd
like to keep it local, right, So Michael is here
from the ale EMPOI and Michael good to see a pal.
Speaker 1 (49:45):
Hello Michael, how are we doing, buddy? Doing very good?
Are you ready to make some picks with us today.
Speaker 2 (49:49):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (49:49):
Yeah, I'm excited to get started.
Speaker 5 (49:51):
So I hear you're going to be going to the
new Avon Sneiwer right coming up.
Speaker 1 (49:55):
Sounds like maybe first of the year ish. Yeah, that's
that's what we're shooting for. Okay, are you excited about that?
Speaker 4 (50:00):
Oh?
Speaker 1 (50:01):
Yeah, very excited. We can't wait.
Speaker 5 (50:02):
And you've been you've been here for a little over
a year then, right, so you've kind of got all
the knowledge you've soaked in and you're getting ready to
take it on to Avon and show the West Side
what the al is all about.
Speaker 1 (50:10):
Absolutely, I love it.
Speaker 5 (50:12):
Well, I will tell you you've got a good one in
Casey that's going to be running that show over there.
She's an absolute sweetheart and it's an honor to be
able to work with great people in the industry. So again,
looking forward to working more with you, my man, and
excited to have you join us today. Do a little
picks here? Are you ready to rock and roll some
some NFL football?
Speaker 1 (50:29):
Does anything stand out?
Speaker 4 (50:30):
Don't make your picks right now, but does anything stand
out to you on that page before you?
Speaker 1 (50:37):
Yeah? I like this Lion's Kansas City game. This Detroit.
That's that's going to be a big one right there.
Speaker 4 (50:43):
Absolutely, Because I almost think we thought last week was awful,
I think this week is equally awful.
Speaker 1 (50:50):
Am I not right about that? I think it's awful too.
Speaker 4 (50:53):
I love this week. Actually I hated the last two.
Last week was terrible, and I think this week is terrible.
Speaker 5 (50:58):
You know, my picks the last couple of weeks have
shown how much I hated them, and hopefully my feeling
on this one is a little bit different because I
do like a lot of the games here, and there's
some of the interesting numbers. We've got some bigger numbers
out there too, which you know last week we had
a bunch of one and a half point spread, a
bunch of four teams playing each other.
Speaker 1 (51:15):
And you get some big fat ones up in here,
don't you. I mean, there's a couple out there.
Speaker 5 (51:18):
I meant a lot of sevens, a little seven and
hooks hanging out there, and then that big fourteen spot
hanging over that Green Bay game.
Speaker 1 (51:24):
I think about this.
Speaker 4 (51:25):
You tubed the Green Bay game and that's what the
Bengals and Joe Flecco has been installed now as the
starter man. If you go out there, and you lose
by more than that number. If the Packers cover, what
an absolute disaster even jacking.
Speaker 1 (51:41):
Around with that would be, I think, right, Yeah.
Speaker 4 (51:44):
So Vegas clearly thinks that Flacco is going to stink
out loud with that number.
Speaker 1 (51:49):
Yeah, And you know, you got to look at it
this way.
Speaker 5 (51:51):
I mean, everybody kind of looks at what they saw last, right,
they just they have not been putting up points, and
again that was Browning. But then you look back to
Flacco's last couple of games, was bad enough for him
him to get pinched, and they move forward with Gabriel, right,
and so he's not gotten the best tracker. He's a
forty year old quarterback out there. But you know, Aaron
Rodgers still showing you can do it. Tom Brady showed
you could do it. He's got the he's got the experience,
(52:13):
I think is what they needed. And you know, I
mean the Bengals they need to do something right now
because they're sitting at two and three and without having
you know, Burrow. You know, there's a chance Burrow can
come back early mid December, but now he's not coming
back if they're three and no.
Speaker 1 (52:29):
Eleven, three and twelve, and you get it.
Speaker 4 (52:31):
They're trying to salvage and I'm sure at least in
the short that's going to make everybody happy. But with
a number like that, I don't know what expectation anybody
has Vegas.
Speaker 5 (52:39):
That number right there is just showing you the the market, right.
I mean, you've got a lot of people want to
bet the Packers. That's a big number in the NFL.
I don't care who it is. We talked about all
the time we've seen Buffalo. They don't cover numbers so
that they win games most of the times.
Speaker 4 (52:52):
The last week film compared to the Bengals right now
with I just say in December when you're saying about
the number coming out, they don't cover. But I think
what the Bengals are doing, they needed a change for
not only the team, the fans give them some kind
of a little bit of a hope because they haven't
gotten that out of.
Speaker 1 (53:08):
Mister Browning with what they were doing.
Speaker 5 (53:09):
So I think it's gonna be you got somebody with
some experience again, not gonna have a lot of time
to learn their plays.
Speaker 4 (53:14):
He's gonna go out there and just take control of it.
I think it's you know it's gonna be interesting. We'll
talk through it all. I'll pass my two cents on
here when we get to that game, Are you ready
to go? Absolutely?
Speaker 1 (53:23):
Read? Michael? You ready?
Speaker 4 (53:24):
Michael's ready Aileen Porium in Greenwood, James, can we cue
the band for a Week six selections? Thank you very much,
Larcenity Barbon Locke, Salunazul Tequila shots Oh. Week five starts
later on Tonight eight fifteen Prime Video. The Eagles average
just seventy three yards per game the last three weeks,
(53:47):
but Saquon Barkley's thirty nine to seven per game in
that stretch, as they say that ain't getting it done.
One seventy six for Barkley against New York and Week
six a year ago, and Jackson Dark gets his first
prime time start.
Speaker 1 (54:05):
Will that'd be enough?
Speaker 4 (54:06):
Because you look at the Eagles, they are seven point
road favorites at New York. I think the Eagles are
gonna flex a little bit and especially defensively, get after
the rookie quarterback. Go ahead and bury that seven for
me and give me the Eagles Brint.
Speaker 5 (54:20):
I normally would not take this pick that I'm gonna
take John, just due to this Division matchup, the heat
of it all. But I am going to lay that
number with you here, Yeah, and I normally hate doing that.
These are most of these games are usually pretty close
and tight. But the deflation of what Philly has been
playing at, I think they're going to elevate their game.
(54:41):
Like you said, what Saquon did, He's gonna take control
against his old team, showing what he still has. I
think it's gonna be a lower scoring game, and I
think the Giants are just two decimated all across the
whole field, right, They've got a lot of injuries out there.
They're down to their three, four and five receivers. I
think it's gonna be I'm gonna call this one. You know,
let's go twenty four to twenty four to twenty over
(55:06):
with that? I like twenty four, seven, seven, twenty Where
am I at here?
Speaker 1 (55:11):
I'm over it?
Speaker 5 (55:11):
Yes, I am over twenty seven seventeen Philadelphia covers a seven?
Speaker 1 (55:15):
How about that? That was stuck?
Speaker 4 (55:17):
Leste Barba locks Lons don't have to kill the shots.
We intro from the alem Porum in Greenwood, Michael with
his pick.
Speaker 8 (55:23):
Michael, Yeah, I think Philadelphia is going to get it together.
They've had some slow weeks. Their offense hasn't really been
going like they would like. I think they're just going
to get it done tonight. I like them to cover
that seven and to put the Giants away tonight. I
like them at twenty eight over the Giants at thirteen.
Speaker 4 (55:41):
Week six picks Broncos and Jets part of the London Games.
The Jets are the only wins team of the NFL.
Justin Field sacked five times and a week five lost
at the Cowboys.
Speaker 1 (55:51):
That was you, g l Y.
Speaker 4 (55:53):
The Jets do have an alibi. They stink in London.
That's a big number. I think for a team in London.
There you go, Buddy, a team in London right there.
I think that's a big number. However, I'm gonna go
whether the Jets are playing right now, I'm gonna go
ahead and lay that number seven and a half?
Speaker 1 (56:10):
Is it? Give me the Broncos, Brint, you.
Speaker 5 (56:13):
Know, I think this is gonna be one of those
games that's gonna come down to. I do think that
Denver Broncos win the game. I don't think they cover.
I think the Jets come out and get the cover.
They're sitting at zero and five. But that's seven and
a half right there. I think Denver wins twenty three seventeen.
Give me the hook for the cover New York Jets
plus seven.
Speaker 1 (56:30):
And a half. Michael from the Ale South Side Michael.
Speaker 8 (56:34):
I like Denver's defense. I think they're gonna give the
Jets a lot of problems. I like them to cover
that seven and a half at twenty four to fourteen.
Speaker 4 (56:42):
Large sleeve bourbon locks, Luna Zuel Takiva shots. Indeed, we're
hanging out in week number six again, thank you all
for joining us. I look at this game, the Rams
and the Ravens. You got to go across country, but
the Ravens are an absolute injury reddle mess right now,
and they like that they're not gonna make it in
(57:02):
the ANC playoff. To know that on the back end
of this season, their schedule gets a little bit easier,
but it is problematic. And we'll see Lamar Jackson. His
situation still kind of lingers with a hammy. I haven't
seen as a press time if he's going to be back.
I know as of what I saw, it was still
(57:23):
in question. I didn't see today. So we'll just presume
right now that They're still on the fence with that
until further notice. But I was gonna go ahead and
take the Rams anyway. I'll bury my third consecutive seven,
if not seven plus number right here. I'll take the
Rams on the road, bury the seven and a half.
Speaker 1 (57:39):
Rent.
Speaker 5 (57:40):
Yeah, another tough game right here until we know who
is quarterback, right, But this line kind of indicates where
it's at. But I will say Baltimore's defense has looked horrible.
That Rams team has a lot of firepower, but I
don't think they have enough to put it away and
truly cover this seven and a half. Again, I think
they win the game by seven. I'm gonna bet the
hook comes into play here. The Multimore Ravens plus seven
(58:01):
and a half is a big home underdog.
Speaker 1 (58:03):
Michael, what do you got over there?
Speaker 8 (58:04):
Yeah, I think the Rams are going to cover that
seven and a half. I think they're gonna give Baltimore's
ailing defense a hard time. I really like Puca, So
I think that we're looking at twenty eight to ten Rams.
Speaker 4 (58:15):
Chavante Williams one thirty five in yardage performance for the Cowboys.
Last week, we documented how they had an easy one
on the road at Carolina, and then how about Carolina
the way that they're feeling last week. I think the
Cowboys are starting to find themselves just a little bit
right here. I mean, this game probably is maybe a
(58:35):
six point winner for the Cowboys. Lay the three and
a half. They're the road favorites. Give me the Cowboys
on the road.
Speaker 1 (58:42):
Brent, it's actually three.
Speaker 5 (58:43):
Johns House is a three point favorite, which you gotta
like losing that hook. You're only laying three, You're not
laying that hook, which gets dangerous in the NFL.
Speaker 1 (58:50):
I agree with you.
Speaker 4 (58:50):
I think Dallas the way they've been playing here and
Javonte has.
Speaker 1 (58:53):
Been playing running the ball really well.
Speaker 5 (58:56):
You look at Ricodowbell what he did last week though
for the Carol on a Panthers will be coming out party,
still waiting to hear what the running back situation is
going to be there. I think Dallas is a little
bit too much firepower, that their defense is not good.
I think this is going to be a higher scoring game.
I think Dallas wins thirty one twenty four. Hit the
over and take Dallas, lay the three.
Speaker 1 (59:15):
What do you got, Michael?
Speaker 8 (59:16):
Yeah, I think Dallas is going to be too much
for the Panthers. They just look like they're really hitting
on all cylinders. I got them winning, covering the three
twenty eight to twenty.
Speaker 4 (59:24):
Lastly, Brevien lox Loon is what the kiy of the shots?
This one on Fox at one o'clock on Sunday. The
Seahawks are two and all on the road this season,
and Sam Donald is playing some really good football at
quarterback for the Seahawks as well, seventy three point one
percent completion percentage, which actually is better than his counterpart
(59:46):
in this matchup, Trevor Lawrence. I know that a lot
of folks kind of think that the Seahawks can get
it done on the road. Vegas has the Jaguars one
and a half point favorites at home. I'm gonna go
ahead and take the favoritism with the Jaguars coming off
that in on Monday Night. Give me Jacksonville over the Seahawks. Brent,
just for a hot second here, I want to talk
about that game Monday Night.
Speaker 5 (01:00:06):
Did you see the very last play? What in the
actual heck was going on there? Right number one?
Speaker 2 (01:00:13):
Uh?
Speaker 4 (01:00:13):
Lawrence falls back, he gets it down and he falls
back again. You got Chris Jones standing there. He did
not move, He watched everything happen. It was almost a
little fishy for me, John, I didn't really like that.
Speaker 1 (01:00:27):
You're at you.
Speaker 5 (01:00:29):
I think there was some fishiness there, honestly do. I've
looked at that place several games.
Speaker 4 (01:00:33):
Is a great player, but he does often pick and
choose when he wants to play with great effort.
Speaker 1 (01:00:39):
He literally stood there and well, you should choose when.
Speaker 4 (01:00:43):
It's the last play of the game, didn't have any timeouts.
Speaker 1 (01:00:47):
He's got to shoot the back there.
Speaker 4 (01:00:49):
I'm great player, but he will pick and choo situation
in which he will exert effort.
Speaker 5 (01:00:56):
He definitely chose not to exert on that one. However,
let's get to the game on a hand. Here, Seattle
Seahawks at Jacksonville Jaguars. I think Seattle goes in and
wins the game.
Speaker 4 (01:01:04):
Outright, I'm gonna take Seattle plus one and a half.
Seattle Seahawks twenty four Jaguars twenty.
Speaker 1 (01:01:10):
Michael, what are you thinking about over there?
Speaker 2 (01:01:12):
Pal?
Speaker 1 (01:01:12):
Yeah, I actually had the same thing.
Speaker 8 (01:01:13):
I had twenty four to twenty Jaguars taking the game
and covering that one and a half points.
Speaker 4 (01:01:18):
Like Snebarba locksalon is who what with the key of
the shots on CBS at one o'clock on Sunday, the
Chargers and the Dolphins. The Chargers, man, they are averaging
just fourteen points per game in the last two.
Speaker 1 (01:01:29):
They have key offensive injuries.
Speaker 4 (01:01:30):
Who know that both tackles are out, including Joe All
left tackle extraordinaire.
Speaker 1 (01:01:35):
Right there, we know that to be true.
Speaker 4 (01:01:37):
But the Dolphins also in a free fall under Mike McDaniel,
worst run defense in the league. I guess that may
be good because the Chargers are almost out of running
backs right now. The way that it goes due to injury,
the Dolphins get four and a half points at home,
Are the Chargers are going to bounce back on the road.
Speaker 1 (01:01:54):
I don't think so.
Speaker 4 (01:01:55):
Give me that four and a half and give me
the Dolphins at home with no other reason other than
the Chargers are just so incredibly injured.
Speaker 5 (01:02:02):
Rent they really are, and you know they're off two
losses in a row, and like I said, those key
injuries right there, and without that running game to be
able to run against that horrible Miami Dolphins defense, I think.
Speaker 1 (01:02:13):
Miami is gonna stay in this game. Do I think
they win?
Speaker 5 (01:02:16):
I think it's gonna be close, but I think I'm
gonna take that four and a half. I'll take the
Miami Dolphins plus four and a half. Chargers win twenty
six to twenty three.
Speaker 4 (01:02:23):
Miami covers Michael, Yeah, I'm actually gonna take the Chargers.
Speaker 8 (01:02:27):
I just I think that they're gonna break that slump.
I don't see them losing three in a row. I
think Herbert's going to elevate them. I have them winning
twenty one to ten.
Speaker 4 (01:02:35):
The Steelers coming off a bye week and Aaron Rodgers
has been good. This is one of these games for
the Colts that in about three weeks I'm gonna eyeball
a little bit right here, right, I mean, that's gonna
be one of those gauge games.
Speaker 1 (01:02:47):
But it's further down the road.
Speaker 4 (01:02:48):
The Steelers five and a half point favorites at home
against the Browns. Dylan Gabriel has been an outcry for
Sidra Sanders from some this week. I'm gonna go ahead
and lay the five and a half the Steelers at home.
I know I'm taking a lot of favorites so far,
but I think that's what the page at least dictates
to me. And I'm the one that's been really good.
Nots you guys out there. Let's keep that in mind
(01:03:08):
right here, bry the five and a half and get
me the Steelers. Brent, there's a couple things that just
scream out to me right here, right number one. Cleveland
has not gone in and one Pittsburgh since two thousand
and five, I think two thousand and four.
Speaker 5 (01:03:20):
It's been a long time, talking twenty plus years. I
don't think they have the squad to do it. These
Steelers off of a bye. Mike Tomlin always has these
guys right in a rock and roll. I think you're
going to see the Steelers. I really like this game
a lot. Pittsburgh Steelers covers the five and a half.
They win twenty four to thirteen, lower scoring a fair
but they win.
Speaker 4 (01:03:38):
Michael is, I'm sorry about that, Brent. Michael is in
the house with his pick.
Speaker 1 (01:03:42):
Yeah. I like Pittsburgh.
Speaker 8 (01:03:43):
I just don't think Cleveland's gonna be able to put
together enough to get it done for the first time
since two thousand and five at Hinsfield. I do think
they're gonna cover that five and a half. I got
Pittsburgh twenty one, Cleveland ten.
Speaker 4 (01:03:55):
Can you name the quarterback that has a one hundred
QB rating or better in two of three starts this season.
Speaker 1 (01:04:04):
Who's normally a backup quarterback two of three starts. Yes,
you got mac Davis, No mac Jones. Look mac Davis,
don't get hooked on me. Don't call me mac Davis.
Speaker 4 (01:04:21):
Mac Jones seriously has played well, played well last week
as we know.
Speaker 1 (01:04:28):
Two. So was Baker Mayfield too. Man.
Speaker 4 (01:04:30):
I thought the Buccaneers, first of all, how do you
not wear the creamsickles forever every saving game. That's ridiculous
that you don't set that bull crap you roll out there.
But Tampa baye me going to be way two good,
three and a half point favorites at home against the Niners,
even with a revamped mac Jones with Kyle Shanahan.
Speaker 1 (01:04:50):
Lay the three and give me the Buccaneers at home. Yeah, Tampa,
they look good.
Speaker 5 (01:04:56):
I mean Baker Mayfield, I mean he is definitely he's
one of the top quarterbacks in NFL right now. He's
feeling good, looking good. They're putting up some points, they're
finding ways to win the game. I really like, I
really like the squad. Now we'll say you're right, Max
Jones has looked Yeah, great.
Speaker 1 (01:05:08):
See. I think there's gonna be a.
Speaker 5 (01:05:10):
Little bit of a controversy there when Perdy gets ready
to be party again.
Speaker 4 (01:05:13):
But it's gonna be tough. I mean, mac Jones is
filled in admirably, baby, baby, don't get hooked on me.
Was mac Davis Klass? You got team seventy two bringing
in the max, baby bringing to the max?
Speaker 1 (01:05:24):
What do you got, Michael.
Speaker 5 (01:05:25):
I'm gonna take Tampa lay the three. I'll go ahead,
finish mine, take it away.
Speaker 1 (01:05:32):
Yeah.
Speaker 8 (01:05:32):
I think Shanahan does a great job at quarterbacks. I
think what he's doing with mac Jones is impressive. But
I'm not gonna go against Baker Mayfield. I think he's
just playing great ball. He's got the attitude, he's he's
gonna get the win.
Speaker 1 (01:05:43):
I like them to cover that three. Uh.
Speaker 8 (01:05:45):
Tampa Bay twenty eight, San Francisco twenty one.
Speaker 1 (01:05:48):
Nicely burbon lockx lund is with the key of the shots.
Speaker 4 (01:05:50):
Rookie Ashton gent is gonna go wild in this game
against the Titans coming up on Sunday. Reason being, the
Titans can't stop anybody on the run and a half
point favorites at home. I know the Raiders are awful.
We saw that front and center last week. They get
back on the winning track against the Titans at home.
Give me the Raiders lay the three and a half
(01:06:10):
and Ashton Genty has a great game. Brent, I like
that S and Genty call because they need to lean
on him more. But they need to get Gino back
in the game a little bit. I mean, he's they're
not utilizing their weapons right now.
Speaker 5 (01:06:23):
He looks horrible. However, I think this is their get
right game. Especially Tennessee got their first win last week.
I don't think they go into Vegas and get that.
Give me the Raiders lay the three and a half.
They went twenty four to seventeen.
Speaker 8 (01:06:34):
Michael, Yeah, I think Vegas is gonna figure a few
things out against Tennessee this week. I think that Genty's
really starting to get his wheels going. I do like
them to cover that three and a half. Vegas twenty
four Tennessee twenty.
Speaker 1 (01:06:47):
Hey.
Speaker 4 (01:06:48):
The Bengals are last in the NFL in total yards.
Jake Browning had thrown eight interceptions. So that's the reason
why your lifeline goes out in a trade for Joe Flacco.
Joe Flack gets off the bus in Cincinnati and is
immediately installed as a starting quarterback.
Speaker 1 (01:07:05):
All the road.
Speaker 4 (01:07:06):
Ah by the way, Sunday afternoon, fourteen twenty five, at
Lambeau in Green Bay, the Packers are fourteen. This is
absolutely crazy that I don't believe in Joe Flacco. The
Bengals stinkage, and they're in Green Bay. But I'm gonna
go ahead and give me for whatever. I don't know why,
maybe just maybe the sun will shine on the old
(01:07:29):
man one last time here. They're not gonna win anything,
but give me the fourteen and give me the Bengals
on the road at Lambeau. I wish I had a
better explanation alas I do not.
Speaker 5 (01:07:40):
Well, John, I'll tell you what, as crazy as this
might be, Yes, I'm gonna join you in this will now.
Speaker 1 (01:07:46):
I will say, Hey, green Bay is gonna win this game.
Speaker 5 (01:07:48):
Right, Fourteen points in the NFL is a tremendous amount.
Green Bay is not historically good under Matt Lafleur coming
off of a bye I don't know that they're gonna
be able to plan for mister Flacco. I think Flacco
is going to do enough to get him. I think
it's get T Higgins involved. I think he's gonn get
Jamar Chase involved and show him how to throw that ball.
I've been watching a little bit of a practice since
(01:08:09):
what two days ago when he got there, and he's
already going some deep.
Speaker 1 (01:08:12):
Routes with him.
Speaker 5 (01:08:13):
I think that Green Bay wins this game, but I
don't think they cover that fourteen. So betting wise, I
would take Cincinnati plus fourteen. Green Bay wins thirty to twenty.
Also goes over the total of forty four and a half.
Speaker 8 (01:08:25):
Michael, Yeah, so I think that I'm gonna have to
go against you guys on this one. I do think
the Packers.
Speaker 4 (01:08:30):
I actually love to hear that, Michael. I'm a big
Packer fan. Man, fantastic. I do think the Packers are
going to cover that fourteen. I just don't know that
bringing Flacco in really does much for the organization, and
I don't think it does much week one of his
tenure there.
Speaker 8 (01:08:43):
I don't think that they're going to have enough juice
to move the needle. I think we're looking at twenty
eight ten Green Bay take in the win.
Speaker 4 (01:08:49):
Hey, twenty Sunday night, guys, I'm gonna take the Lions here.
Lions on the road in Kansas City, I like Dan
Campbell's team, I think, as does everybody else.
Speaker 1 (01:08:59):
Lay the two and a half.
Speaker 4 (01:09:00):
I'm sorry, two and a half point underdogs on the
road at Arrowhead.
Speaker 1 (01:09:04):
Give me the Lions print. All right, we're gonna skip that.
Patriots in the Saints game will come back to that
on a second. Yeah, on all lamps. Nobody know you.
I gotta get on my good there, all right.
Speaker 5 (01:09:14):
So I think it's gonna be the game of the
week as far as watching NFL football, I think it
is gonna be a close game. I think it's gonna
be a field goal game. However, I think the winners
of this game is gonna be the Kansas City Chiefs
by three, twenty seven to twenty four.
Speaker 1 (01:09:26):
Give me the Chefs. Lay the two and a half.
Chiefs cover Michael. Yeah, I'm really excited for this game.
I love Dan Campbell.
Speaker 8 (01:09:34):
I think the way he has his team playing and
the mindset he brings to his team is gonna be enough.
I don't really like how Kansas City has been playing
this year. They're kind of in a rough spot. I'm
definitely looking for Detroit to win this one or thirty
one to twenty eight. So I do have them cover
in that two and a half.
Speaker 1 (01:09:48):
I like it.
Speaker 4 (01:09:48):
Larcity Bourbon losch Lunas will have to give the shots.
Three and a half point road favorites Patriots at New Orleans.
New Orleans there win last week, short lived, however, married
the three and a half, right May New England on
the road, Brent, this.
Speaker 1 (01:10:01):
Is another one of those games.
Speaker 5 (01:10:02):
I think it's coming down to a field goal, and
I think that hook's going to come into play here,
as ugly as it is. You're right, Drake may has
look great. They got two wins in a row. Saints
coming off of a win. I think the Saints find
a way to stay to keep this one close. I
think New England wins twenty to seventeen. I'll take that
plus three and a half though at home for New
Orleans Saints to get the cover, not win, get the cover,
Give me the Saints.
Speaker 8 (01:10:22):
He's Michael, you know I've got New England taking that
three and a half.
Speaker 1 (01:10:26):
They're going to cover that.
Speaker 8 (01:10:27):
I think they're gonna win twenty one to fourteen. I
just don't like anything I've seen from the Saints this season.
Speaker 1 (01:10:31):
And why would you?
Speaker 2 (01:10:32):
Right?
Speaker 1 (01:10:33):
And I believe in Drake may So. I think this
is a good game for him. Two Monday Niners. As
we mentioned Bills and Falcons.
Speaker 4 (01:10:39):
The Bills haven't covered anything this year, but they're still
a really good team. That is why I'm taking that
four and a half and giving me the Falcons coming
off there by a week.
Speaker 1 (01:10:47):
Brent Wow, taking the Falcons. Yes, sang it. John, I
was kind of one.
Speaker 4 (01:10:50):
To taking everybody against the Bills because the Bills don't cover.
Speaker 1 (01:10:53):
This is actually one of my favorite favorite games are.
Speaker 5 (01:10:55):
I think Bill's going there and they get right after
that loss, they're going to come back in show them
whose boss?
Speaker 1 (01:10:59):
What's going going on?
Speaker 5 (01:11:00):
I don't know the Falcons, they're still kind of toying
around Michael Pennox, What's what's happening there? B John Robinson,
he is the man, but they're gonna hold him and
check here.
Speaker 1 (01:11:08):
But I think Buffalo Bills.
Speaker 4 (01:11:09):
They go into Atlanta, thirty four to twenty means they
cover that four and a half.
Speaker 1 (01:11:14):
Pretty good. Give me the Bills, Michael, Yeah.
Speaker 8 (01:11:16):
I think Buffalo's got to come in and kind of
make a statement, get back to the confidence, confidence that
they had to start the season. I think that they're
gonna do that. I do think they're going to cover
that four and a half. Atlanta's got a lot to
figure out, So I just don't think they're in a
position to knock Buffalo off. I think it's going to
be thirty to twenty one, Buffalo taking the win.
Speaker 1 (01:11:33):
Yeah.
Speaker 4 (01:11:33):
The other Monday Nighters in Washington, the Bears and the
Commanders in four and a half point favorites at home.
Jaydon Daniels recurrent last week. We know that brry the
four and a half. Give me the Commander's Brent. Yeah,
I absolutely love this game. This is it's gonna be
my larcening lock of the week right here.
Speaker 5 (01:11:47):
The Washington Commanders lay the four and a half, they
win the game thirty one twenty and put those Bears
down a knots to Commanders Michael.
Speaker 8 (01:11:55):
Yeah, I agree. Jade Daniels is back. I just don't
think the Bears are gonna be able to get it done.
I like them to win twenty eight. I'm sorry, thirty
five to twenty eight.
Speaker 1 (01:12:04):
I go him with Washington, right, guys.
Speaker 4 (01:12:06):
Week six, we get to the Colts one o'clock coming
up on Sunday for our final selection.
Speaker 1 (01:12:11):
Here, the Colts off to a tremendous four and one start.
Speaker 4 (01:12:14):
Yeah, we know the injury situations, right, Hopefully Ali Pierce
comes back. We felt the same thing about this situation
last week. However, the bigger deals on the other side
with Kyler Murray didn't practice yesterday, didn't practice today, has
a foot injury, a tow injury, whatever it is that's
not good to backup would be former Colts quarterback Jacoby Brissett.
So I'm just going to assume there's gonna be no Murray.
(01:12:35):
But even with it, I feel confident the Colts are
going to roll them up. Thirty one thirteen is going
to be your final. The Colts are seven point home
favorites thirty one thirteen. Reverse those numbers right there, Brandon,
give me the Colts at home.
Speaker 1 (01:12:49):
Yeah.
Speaker 5 (01:12:49):
I'm gonna start off here with my louizul Tequila Fantasy
shot of the week, and he was available in seventy
percent of the league's He actually took the Bell Coal
toll last week. But then also De Marcado had the
big blunder. Go ahead and pick up Michael Carter for
a running back out there. If you're looking for somebody's
on the waiver wire, he's gonna get all the action
right there after what de Marcato did last week, and
(01:13:10):
you're right, watch what happens here on this game. But
even with Kyler Murray, I think the Colts are humming.
They're humming home. I think they look good. I think
Colts cover thirty one twenty three, just cover that seven.
But I'll take the Colts.
Speaker 8 (01:13:22):
Michael of the Aleen Porum in Greenwood. Yeah, I'm gonna
have to go with the Colts. Diehard Colts fan Daniel
Jones is playing great ball. Gives me a lot of
pride to say that. I think they're going to steamroll them.
I'm looking thirty three to fourteen and they're definitely going
to cover that seven.
Speaker 4 (01:13:36):
Love it, Michael Alen Porm in Greenwood. Great job today,
stuff man, you were right there, Bud, Well done.
Speaker 2 (01:13:44):
Man.
Speaker 5 (01:13:44):
We'll keep track of these picks too. We'll see you soon.
If not here, we'll see you in Avon in the
first of the year. Things get kicking off over there. Yeah,
we're really excited. I can't wait to see you guys.
Speaker 4 (01:13:54):
Hey, come back over before the end of the show
so we can tell what you guys are doing this
weekend as well.
Speaker 1 (01:13:59):
Yeah.
Speaker 4 (01:13:59):
Absolutely, that's Michael right arium on the south side. We're
in Greenwood right there. BRIT's going to rejoin coming up
on the other side. That's our large d bourbon locks
and Luna's who with tequila shots for week six, we
shall go over those more on the college game and
Major League Baseball later on tonight, and also the latest
that is going on. We got that covered for you
(01:14:20):
at the ale Emporium in Greenwood.
Speaker 1 (01:14:22):
Don't go anywhere. It's ninety three to five, one oh
seven five.
Speaker 3 (01:14:25):
The Fan, the ride with JMV.
Speaker 1 (01:14:31):
I remember Mom's the worst, certainly.
Speaker 2 (01:14:35):
M M.
Speaker 3 (01:14:38):
Ninety three five and one oh seven five the Fan.
Speaker 4 (01:14:43):
Now, thank you all for the recommendations for Windsor, Ontario, Canada.
If Blake comes back with this expression, that's all you
need to know.
Speaker 1 (01:14:55):
Thank you for that.
Speaker 5 (01:14:56):
Are you going to text him with some some highlighted
spots to go to throughout the thing?
Speaker 1 (01:15:00):
Send it over, hey, Blake while you're there. Once you
check out, Oh my god, look at my man LUs
over there. I love it.
Speaker 4 (01:15:09):
Shout out to Ron Colley's in the house over there.
You got is I will play this weekend? Where are they? Oh?
Speaker 1 (01:15:16):
What's okay? That's uh Dave Lox over there. By the way.
Speaker 4 (01:15:19):
His son Trevor is awesome left tackle for the Iowa
Hawk Eyes Colly and uh Dave is the softball coach
at Ron Colley, the incredibly successful softball coach is here too,
And I can never thank them enough. Because Blake had
such an incredible experience at Ron Colly.
Speaker 1 (01:15:38):
I would do that again every single time with.
Speaker 5 (01:15:41):
Him at Wrong. He loved it. Isn't it great when
you have great people?
Speaker 1 (01:15:46):
Just makes it so much.
Speaker 4 (01:15:47):
He's got a lifetime friends from there too, which is cool.
Speaker 1 (01:15:50):
And they're evidently not with him in Windsor right now.
Speaker 5 (01:15:52):
But yeah, he's.
Speaker 1 (01:15:55):
He's definitely up there. He's he's up there. JMV.
Speaker 4 (01:15:59):
Back of the nineties, we went to Windsor for one thing,
the all nude clubs.
Speaker 1 (01:16:05):
Good.
Speaker 4 (01:16:05):
Thanks for making me feel good, guys, right, that's great.
Speaker 1 (01:16:09):
So hey, by the way, too, we had our picks.
We just made. I think everybody's pretty solid. Michael.
Speaker 3 (01:16:14):
You me.
Speaker 4 (01:16:15):
As far as the Colts are concerned with that number,
I think we got in on that number. If Jacoby
Brissett as the starter, is that number going any higher
or is that already representative of the skepticism of Kyler
Murray and his participation.
Speaker 1 (01:16:28):
I think it's two points higher than what it would
be if not three.
Speaker 5 (01:16:31):
I mean, I really do I think, you know, I mean,
if you look at I just think any kind of
an injury, and I think with what's coming out on
where it doesn't sound like he's going to play. It
sounds like we're saying he's having the whole week to
practice with the number one guy, So that that should
tell us some things. But you know, Arizona, they've got
a good score, we talk about all the time, they've
got a great start. They just can't seem to put
things together a whole lot. And the bonehead moves, you know,
(01:16:53):
like with the heads, we bonehead moves.
Speaker 1 (01:16:55):
Yeah, I mean it's funny.
Speaker 4 (01:16:57):
They just kind of unlocked Marvin Harrison Junior a little
bit because there was some wonder.
Speaker 1 (01:17:02):
If he was ever going to be anything.
Speaker 4 (01:17:03):
And you know, once he gets unlocked, they screw themselves royally.
And that was themselves last week against the Titans.
Speaker 1 (01:17:13):
They're up twenty one to six, yeah and half.
Speaker 5 (01:17:15):
Yeah, they don't score again in the second half. They
got stupid errors out there.
Speaker 4 (01:17:19):
I mean, just stuff that drop in the football before
you go on, which is a trend.
Speaker 1 (01:17:23):
Which that's a trend beyond belief, it really is.
Speaker 4 (01:17:27):
Do we can we trace back where that was invented
and who invented that?
Speaker 1 (01:17:32):
And why why is that so cool? Well, then why
is that even a thing? It's not.
Speaker 5 (01:17:37):
I don't and I know a lot of coaches say,
you run through the letters, right, so you see the
team's letters in the back of Once you get there,
then drop the ball. Yeah, get over that goal line,
because as soon as you go to start doing something,
and that one Mercado had it kind of looked like
he was already over it, but he wasn't and not
enough to change it. But you look at that, I mean,
just bonehead moves, right, that's what's gonna You're not gonna
win in the NFL if you're doing stuff like that.
Speaker 1 (01:17:58):
And that's what happened. I mean, And then again that
picks six from the goal line.
Speaker 4 (01:18:04):
I mean, so I've been going in and you get
it up. So I mentioned this a little bit earlier too.
So the Colts got the Cardinals coming up on Sunday,
and then you're going to the opportunity to go out
west again with the Chargers, who they're on the road
this week. We know that to be true. But they've
scuffled and they have just a ton of injuries. And
(01:18:24):
then you have Tennessee, I believe, back at home, and
then you go to Pittsburgh, and Pittsburgh is going to
be a decent gauge, I think right there.
Speaker 1 (01:18:31):
But you look at this.
Speaker 4 (01:18:33):
Team at four and one right now and where they are.
That is as good as I think anybody thought they
were going to be, and certainly as good.
Speaker 5 (01:18:41):
As anybody would ask for. Oh absolutely. I mean you
have to be just elated as a Colts fan right
now to see what they've done. So see the resurrection,
Yeah of I mean just what Jones has done Indiana.
Jones is back right, he looks good. But Jonathan Taylor,
I mean he has talked about resurrection, he has come back,
He's been full force with three touches last week. I mean,
he looks great. They're gonna they're they're putting it all
(01:19:03):
together again. Take out some of those mistakes that have happened.
But they look wonderful and again I think they're gonna
kind of keep this thing going. Gonna be tough game
with Chargers next week, Like you say, then you got
the Titans and at Steelers. But you look at the
rest of the schedule, you got the Falcons, winnable, Chiefs
gonna be you know, chiefs.
Speaker 1 (01:19:20):
Who are they this year?
Speaker 5 (01:19:21):
Texans looked good for the first time last week, I
mean schedule. Then you got Jacksonville Seahawks, forty nine ers.
It's gonna tighten up a little bit. So they got
to keep this run going and they look great doing
it so far.
Speaker 1 (01:19:31):
Well they have to.
Speaker 4 (01:19:31):
I mean, Daniel Jones has been absolutely outstanding. We realize
with that question between he and Jonathan Taylor, and I
brought up this point back on Monday Show. Has Daniel
Jones made Shane steike In better or Shane Styke and
made Daniel Jones better? I mean that's I think that's
an interesting dynamic right there, where you could honestly say
(01:19:53):
both have made each other better. But I still think
that Jones has provided for stike an area in the
past couple of years with Richardson or really anybody else
for that matter, but certainly Richardson that he has not
been provided. The entirety of his playbook is wide open.
(01:20:15):
Whereas you may have to skip a chapter or two
with somebody else. His playbook is wide open, and then
it's also wide open in a level of confidence in
the plays that he's calling. So he's getting to be
more himself without being tied down with a lack of
belief or just not going a particular area or play
(01:20:39):
call because you don't have the quarterback to execute it.
And I mean from start, pre snap to finish to
execute it the right way. So I would honestly say,
if you were asking me that question that I posed
back on Monday, that it was Jones for stiking, because
Jones has opened I think all on whole new avenue
(01:21:00):
up for the Colts head coach and the former play calling.
Speaker 5 (01:21:03):
Oh yeah, when you've got when you've got a ground
game like that, and you can you can open it up, right,
You're gonna you can't stack the box when he's running
because Jones is doing what he's doing, and he's throwing
the ball and he looks good.
Speaker 1 (01:21:12):
I mean, he really does. It's exciting to see.
Speaker 5 (01:21:15):
You know. It's just get the right person in the
right place, with the right coach knows how to coach him.
I mean, you know, it's been a disaster in New
York for mister Jones going into it. But then you
look at Baker Mayfield in Cleveland, and you look at
all these guys that are excelling right now.
Speaker 1 (01:21:28):
They got to find the right system, and I think
mister Jones' found.
Speaker 4 (01:21:31):
They've I'll tell you what. He's also made the offensive
line better. I'm not I'm not trying to hump all
the praise on Daniel Jones because I know it's a
team effort. But we know what that position represents in
sports in general. It's the most important position anywhere. And
I think he also has helped this offensive.
Speaker 1 (01:21:50):
Line be even better. Well, you get to get rid
of the football.
Speaker 4 (01:21:54):
You make a smart you make smart decisions, decisive decisions,
and you're not having a group out there having to
try to overprotect and.
Speaker 1 (01:22:04):
Then ultimately somebody's going to end up getting beat.
Speaker 4 (01:22:07):
And you know, he he gets rid of the football,
which I think, in turn, the way that he has
played has made that offensive line look a lot better.
Speaker 1 (01:22:16):
That really has.
Speaker 5 (01:22:17):
And you know, winning is a powerful thing, right when
you've got a lot of guys thinking, oh, how is
our season going to be?
Speaker 1 (01:22:22):
What are we gonna do?
Speaker 5 (01:22:23):
Well, you get some wins under the belt and you
keep rolling. You got guys pumped up the play right now,
you know, And it's it's pretty special to see. And
again it's exciting to see the transformation of what we
fought at Daniel Jones, right. I mean, it's it's a
product of the system, and I think he's found a
system well.
Speaker 4 (01:22:37):
I mean, and two, you fans have seen this with
the quarterback situation. And Kurt Signetti gets, you know, all
the praise, and he should. But when you think about
the last two years at quarterback, whether it's Mendoza this
year or Rouric last year, I mean, that's made all
the difference in the world. And during the Kurt Signetti era,
he's always had a quarterback that has been a difference maker,
(01:22:59):
that has been in priority number one to get an
experienced quarterback, whether it was jmu or at Iu. And
we have seen how that has worked, and especially with
his teams, that familiarity, how that has worked as well.
But with the Colts, I just this has made and
we questioned a week two. You know, Shane Steikin's play
(01:23:20):
calling and decision making down the stretch, which should have
and very easily could have cost him that game against Denver,
But outside of that, it just looks like an entirely
different dynamic has been opened up just because of the
presence of Daniel Jones. So every bit of how Shane
Steiken has and this change has been better for Daniel Jones.
Speaker 1 (01:23:43):
I think Daniel Jones has.
Speaker 4 (01:23:44):
Been equally certainly, if not more, for that of Shane
Stikeen being able for him to be himself as a
play caller, an offensive coach and play caller in this case,
and certainly this offense has been thriving through the first
five weeks.
Speaker 5 (01:23:59):
Yeah, you're absolutely right, And again it takes a combination
of all right, but you've got to have a key quarterback.
Speaker 1 (01:24:04):
You know, you're talking about Signetty Finn.
Speaker 5 (01:24:05):
You've got to have a guy that you can put
the trust in that's gonna be smart with the football,
not throw away, not throwing interceptions, no win to check down.
I mean, you got to it's a split decision out there,
So you got to have a head on your shoulders.
And again I think Dan Jones has found his spot
and they're they're they're getting things worked out together and
what play calls make sense. Then you got a guy
(01:24:26):
like Jonathan Taylor, who's just running bananas right now, and
it's fun to watch him play.
Speaker 1 (01:24:29):
No idea is too, I mean the wide receivers.
Speaker 4 (01:24:32):
I just one play that stood out to me on
Sunday too, before we take a break.
Speaker 1 (01:24:35):
Here was the one where there was a.
Speaker 4 (01:24:37):
Little bit of pressure and it was actually a time
when Daniel Jones held onto the ball, he slid a
little bit right, made a play and there was, you know,
his decision making and the decision making of Michael Pittman Junior,
his teammates to come back to the football.
Speaker 1 (01:24:55):
If you saw it was in the end zone.
Speaker 4 (01:24:57):
It was that Michael Pittman Junior touchdown catch and it
was a scramble situation after a little pressure in Daniel
Jones doesn't run away from anybody, but he slides right,
finds a window and Michael Pittman Junior comes back to
him to find or help him create that window. And
we have not seen that from that position and this offense,
(01:25:17):
and we have seen it.
Speaker 1 (01:25:18):
It's certainly been a rarity.
Speaker 5 (01:25:19):
And that you know, on the other side of that football,
the defenses look good. I mean, you know you again,
it takes all It takes a lot to make things happen.
Defenses look great too, and again they're not taking the
foot off the gas pedal, which I love, you know.
I mean forty to six over the Raiders they did.
In the fourth ar came in, he got a little
bit of play. You see his pass to himself. He's like,
screw that, He's going to run the ball every time.
I'm gonna throw it to myself get a completion. But no,
(01:25:40):
it was fun. Forty to six route of the Raiders.
Was that's good for the you know, just the enthusiasmsm
of the team.
Speaker 4 (01:25:46):
They're moving on, great for the fans, great for the fans.
Speaker 1 (01:25:48):
The fans do deserve it.
Speaker 5 (01:25:51):
And the city is exciting and lit lit for what's
going on right now with Colts football.
Speaker 4 (01:25:56):
That's brand. I'm John my Chapel, Top of the Hour.
The injury situation the Colts. Those that missed today would
include defensive tackle Grover Stewart. Worth watching coming up as
we had for the weekend, but those that were back.
Speaker 1 (01:26:09):
Would include Alec Pierce.
Speaker 4 (01:26:10):
Now similar set of circumstances a year ago, but we
shall see you had a new place kicker and Michael Badgeley.
We'll talk about that with Chapell coming up here at
the top of the hour.
Speaker 1 (01:26:22):
As well, and that's not going to be easy.
Speaker 4 (01:26:24):
But I will tell you this, going in and having
a seven or eight kicker confrontation and challenge to see
who's going to end up making that team is not
easy either. You've got to have somebody that is competent
and the ability right now. It is not ideal, but you,
if you're the Colts, try to make it as I
(01:26:45):
don't want to say simple, I don't want to say easy,
but you try to make it as smooth a transition
as possible in a situation that can lead certainly to
some bad some bad outcomes.
Speaker 1 (01:27:01):
I don't know how else to put it here.
Speaker 4 (01:27:03):
You go with the best that is out there, and
I think you're kind of lucky in this case. There
were guys that were available that have made kicks in
the NFL before, even if they were unemployed up until earlier.
This week quick break, we'll come back to Allen Portum.
We're in Greenwood. Would love to see you. We have
larcenybourbon locks, lunazho will te kill the shots and the
(01:27:25):
free samples flowing. Brent rejoins my chapel top of the hour,
I got Bullseye passes to give away, James. Let's do
that in the next ten minutes as well. Bullseye passes
coming up on Sunday. That's at ten am down at
bullseyeeventgroup dot com before the Cardinals Colts matchup. Got your
opportunity to win those coming up ten minutes or so.
(01:27:46):
Ninety three five, one oh seven the ride with JMV.
Speaker 1 (01:27:52):
We're putting the band back together forget it the way.
Speaker 3 (01:27:56):
We're on a mission from God Nutty three five and
one oh. I'm in five the fan.
Speaker 4 (01:28:04):
I got more Bullseye passers for you coming up, so
sit tight for that. Shout out to Kyle Connett that
that great party begins at ten am. Coming up on
Sunday morning. I'll started off at nine am with the
ride to kick off. Charles Arbuckle's going to join me
coming up on tomorrow's show as well. Thank you to
Greg Rakestraw for holding things down Tuesday and Wednesday for
(01:28:27):
me and did a great job per usual.
Speaker 1 (01:28:30):
James, you as well.
Speaker 4 (01:28:31):
Dev's the onside Engineer Brittany and Schen and Isabella here
at the Ale Emporium South Side where the Ale Emporium
in Greenwood for Larcenie bourbon locks, Lunazul tequila shots. I
should say Cardinals Colts tickets will give away tomorrow. We're
going to be at Sam Silver Circle. That is not
entirely in Fountain Square. Would you call that, Brent? Just
outside of Fountain Square Sam Silver Circle, which is a
(01:28:56):
historic joint, to say the least right spot.
Speaker 5 (01:28:58):
We did a taverature of their last year we did.
I love saying just on the outskirts of Fountain Square.
Speaker 1 (01:29:03):
Half it's just on the outskirts.
Speaker 4 (01:29:04):
By the way, did you see I was in Jasper
on Tuesday and I sent you Snaps. There's a place
called Snaps. Anybody ever been to Snaps in Jasper. It
is a restaurant bar that has just a history all
the way back to the eighteen hundreds in Jasper.
Speaker 1 (01:29:22):
And they have Elijah Craig right back there at the bar.
And that'd be a long way to go.
Speaker 4 (01:29:30):
But if it was built around, you know, some kind
of fun event, maybe a Strauss and Fest or whatever
event they have in Jasper, I think that would be
fun as well. The dude down there Snaps in Jasper,
the home of Alligator Bikes I have fried alligator.
Speaker 1 (01:29:46):
You probably didn't need it. I did not.
Speaker 4 (01:29:47):
I had ah he tuna, which was awesomely prepared. Wow,
much better than me. I went home last night, I
tried to grill some and I just screwed it all up.
Ah tuna awesomely prepared and just the greatest.
Speaker 1 (01:30:00):
And caught his cheese at snaps snaps.
Speaker 4 (01:30:04):
Snaps and jasper and the guy said, yeah, we would
love to have you. Now.
Speaker 1 (01:30:08):
It's a great place.
Speaker 4 (01:30:09):
Well two hour two hour run south, but two hour
run south where I like the history to.
Speaker 1 (01:30:14):
It, right, I mean that's a tavern tour maybe right
and all over.
Speaker 4 (01:30:18):
We'd have to ask the people that still own the
ten seventy am signal if we could buy it back
for two and a half cents.
Speaker 1 (01:30:28):
I don't know what the hell they're waiting on.
Speaker 4 (01:30:29):
Over there, But anyway, because back back in the day
with that signal, you could actually get down there. Seriously,
in the afternoon you'd get down there. But it is
a great spot maybe for a future summertime enjoyable tavern
tour stop.
Speaker 1 (01:30:44):
Did you ride the alligator up front?
Speaker 4 (01:30:47):
I don't know if the Alligator still has it out there.
I don't think it's still there right now a hell
of the time. I love the fact your products are
done a snaps. We'll ask my Chapel. On the other side,
Germaine Pratt was brought in with a one year deal
cut loose by the Raiders, and per usual, the form is,
if you've ever played or been around or done anything
(01:31:07):
for lou Anroumo, they're gonna hire you to do.
Speaker 1 (01:31:09):
Something for the Colts right now.
Speaker 4 (01:31:10):
So we'll talk to Mike Chapel and really, with the
way that Joe Bachi played, who's another anromo guy. Anybody
would be better than that. That took place on Sunday,
and we'll see. We'll talk to Mike about that. On
the other side, the injured Colts, the guys that were
back at practice, and Brent rejoins as well because we
have Major League Baseball two teams trying to stay alive
(01:31:31):
in NLDS is later on tonight six oh eight, nine
o eight Phillies and Dodgers LA at six oh eight,
Brewers and Cubs from Wrigley at nine o eight, Brent
and I rejoin. We'll talk about that, Mike Chapel and more.
The ale Emporium Greenwood on a larcenity Bourbon lockx Luno
Zuel Tequila shots Thursday and win Schuler's spreadability available for you.
(01:31:53):
Meyer location is just up the road at Southport Road
that Myers got. Win Schuler's spreadability from origin to sharpcheddar
to bacon and scheddar and your favorite jalapeno pepper. Win
Shuler spread ability needs to be of your snacking tonight
and this weekend. Find it your favorite grocer's refrigerator. The
(01:32:16):
ride with JMV.
Speaker 7 (01:32:19):
Johnny, Hi, David, I'm grandpa ninety three five and one
oh seven five the fan.
Speaker 4 (01:32:32):
I didn't waltly give a shout out. I think he
left without saying goodbye. That's very Chris Hagen of him.
My man Dave Locke was here, the ad and Ron
Colly and the softball coach and just a great guy.
I did want to tell everybody not too far from
Ron Collie right here.
Speaker 1 (01:32:49):
But I mentioned this to Brand a little bit earlier.
Speaker 4 (01:32:51):
My son Blake, who's in Windsor, Canada right now, probably
not doing Ron Collie things. But uh, I went to
Ron Colly for four years, and I go by the
experience like I'm from southern Indiana, rural area Hillbilly, right,
and I had a great time, and I would do
it all over again in a second.
Speaker 1 (01:33:10):
That's how good of a time I had.
Speaker 4 (01:33:12):
And what I want is for my kids to have
an equally good time. Right, and Blake did in Ron
Colley and Laney is right now at CG. I get
texts all the time from lady's friends, which is pretty funny,
because they wanted pictures of me, Brent, they wanted pictures
of my wrecked Porsche back in nineteen eighty six, so
(01:33:35):
I had to send those out. Never seen pictures of
my wrecked Porsche. No, I thought you were somewhere else
with that. So now I'm picturing irecked Porsche. No, yeah,
they want to pictures.
Speaker 1 (01:33:47):
Good. No, oh, I've heard, we talked about it. Yeah,
it was pretty wed in Canada. Pretty good. Yeah, that's
what happens when you put.
Speaker 4 (01:33:54):
The redneck behind the wheel right there of German engineering.
Speaker 1 (01:34:00):
Again. But nah, I I always want to thank when
I get the opportunity.
Speaker 4 (01:34:05):
Uh, my friends are Ron Colly for providing that for Blake,
but because he had a great time, really did And uh.
Speaker 1 (01:34:11):
I saw Dave and some folks here a little bit
earlier it's always good to see those guys. That's Brett
Holvers and I'm jmv. Hey.
Speaker 4 (01:34:17):
While we're thinking about it right now, we'll bring Mike
chapelon in just a second. Bullseyeeventgroup dot com. You know
the response was so incredible a moment ago. Let's do
it again. Three one seven two three nine ten seventy.
A pair of passes. This is passes into the bullseyeeventgroup
dot com COLTSVIP tailgate. James, let's do it on the
(01:34:39):
text line again. Three one seven two three nine ten seventy.
We did twenty five last time. We could easily do thirty,
so let's up it here. Number thirty at three one
seven two three nine ten seventy on the text line
will go to the Bullseyeventgroup dot com coltsv PEE Tailgate
(01:35:00):
presented by Hayes and Sons Restoration Number thirty. You're gonna
go on me because I like you. I like you
a great deal, Brent rejoins in the second. But on
the Andy Moore Automotive Group potline, I'm assuming unless we
get the roof open a couple of different times there upcoming,
I'm gonna be mowing somebody's property on beach of Grove
(01:35:21):
here next year. Uh, and that is Mike Chapel's property
over there. Who joins us again on the Andy Moore
Automotive Group hootline. I think last Sunday the roof and
window not being open costs me that bet.
Speaker 1 (01:35:35):
You know what I mean?
Speaker 2 (01:35:36):
Well, you know I need to at least mow tomorrow
or Saturday, so you know you can do that or well.
Speaker 1 (01:35:43):
I haven't officially lost.
Speaker 4 (01:35:45):
I haven't lost the bet yet, but I'm ful if
you want.
Speaker 1 (01:35:49):
Do you need me to know?
Speaker 2 (01:35:50):
I mean, I mean I head of property there, sure,
I'm trying to sell to the employee, so well you
need to know if.
Speaker 1 (01:35:56):
You need me to mo I will, Oh, I can know.
Do you mow yourself?
Speaker 2 (01:36:00):
It takes me two hours on our riding Morris, it's
quite's quite the afternoon, so I no, I'll get it
done and I'll dig nuts in the whole way.
Speaker 1 (01:36:10):
I don't mind. I don't mind. I don't mind mowing like.
Speaker 4 (01:36:14):
It takes me about forty five minutes to fifty minutes
to do mine. But I'm on a zero turn going
about sixty five miles an hour. Yeah, I got I
got like four, I got about four acres to do.
Speaker 2 (01:36:26):
Yeah, mine's kind of funk either way. We do it,
and I complain and all this, but I do it
and fortunately, just Mike, don't you think this is like
what the last time to mow or not? Now I've
got Oh hell no, you'll be marching the leaves.
Speaker 1 (01:36:41):
Yeah, I know that I can. Yeah, I do mine
up until Thanksgiving easily.
Speaker 2 (01:36:47):
Well, I as long as the grass is done, I
can multch like in thirty minutes and do that like
three times. I don't wait till we're all done, because
I don't want to be buried in the leaves others
than do it like three times and then be done
with it.
Speaker 1 (01:37:03):
That is true. Now do you do?
Speaker 4 (01:37:05):
You moult your leaves and then blow the leaves around
any trees on the property.
Speaker 1 (01:37:10):
Is that what you do?
Speaker 2 (01:37:11):
Yeah? The last time, the last time. I'll try to.
I'll try to to get it to where they're not cluttered,
in places that it's open enough that the one thing
I'm careful of is not to at least be the
person that blows must leaves on my neighbor's property. That
really gets me peeled when people do that. I'll let
(01:37:33):
the wind. I'll let the wind take care of that.
I try to be a little bit considered of my neighbors.
Speaker 4 (01:37:38):
Sometimes I've done it before in the road which is
Banter Road and the bikers that come by there I
don't like.
Speaker 2 (01:37:46):
Yeah, I did that with on twenty fifth Street and
Beach Grove, And there have been times when it literally bad.
So I'll go down the street with the mower and
blow them back on my property. And then sometimes I
say the hell with the left cars blow them by.
It depends on my move at the time.
Speaker 4 (01:38:03):
Hey, before we start with the Colts injuries and those
that didn't participate in practice today, it doesn't look like
Kyler Murray is gonna play with that foot or toe
whatever it is. And former Colts quarterback Jacoby Burssett looks
like he could get the star.
Speaker 1 (01:38:18):
What's your thought on that as of right now?
Speaker 4 (01:38:20):
Does it look like to you what it looks like
to me about his lack of participation he being Murray.
Speaker 2 (01:38:26):
Yeah, yeah, but but again, when you're talking about a veteran,
they can they can practice Friday. But when I'll tell
you when it's a foot or a toe, I think
it's a toe, right, Maybe turf toe, which sounds like no,
it's kurf though for craning out loud, and he's a
quarterback that cuts on it. So I don't want, I
do want to just dismiss Coke Kobe Bent at all.
(01:38:48):
He can handle things, he can manage games and make place.
I would much rather face Koby Brissett than Kyler Murray.
You know where Brissette's gonna.
Speaker 1 (01:38:59):
Be his threat.
Speaker 2 (01:39:02):
You just his game is easier to prepare for and
deal with. So I'd much rather face present.
Speaker 1 (01:39:09):
No.
Speaker 4 (01:39:09):
No, I completely dismissed him earlier. I said die Lomax,
Jim Hart, Kelly Staffer, whomever, but not, I.
Speaker 1 (01:39:16):
Mean, I tell you, yeah, it's not gonna work.
Speaker 2 (01:39:18):
Go back, go back to twenty nineteen, and this team
makes the playoffs. If if Jakoby Brissett doesn't have that
knee praying and missed the game, Uh, they would have won.
That made the playoff even with that invanitary struggles then
made the playoffs. But he's just he just doesn't present
(01:39:39):
anywhere near the level of frit that that Tyler Murray does.
So and there aren't running backs. Uh, it would be
very advantageous of the Colts.
Speaker 4 (01:39:52):
Well, and that bound to screw it up anyway, as
we witnessed last week in a multitude of ways, and
without his threat, they're nowhere nearer That's what I mean,
nowhere nearer the same. I mean, that's that's just something
you can't with a backup at all replicate. And you
know they've been stumbling and bumbling around even with him
back there.
Speaker 2 (01:40:13):
You know, you know Kenny Pool who drops the ball
short of the goal line the next time. I mean,
I'm telling you I don't understand anyway, but in back
to back weeks, but Booth guys are going to be
here on Sunday. They're running back and then ad Mitchell,
I don't understand it. We talked to Reggie Wayne about
(01:40:34):
it today and he just said the lack of focus
and and all that stuff. But my goodness, I don't
understand how you do that. Jonathan Tatos, as we talked
about to me, was different because he just sort of
dropped it. Ady. Mitchell's was more getting ready to celebrate,
and I just the next guy that does it. I
(01:40:57):
guess unless it's a really really star, they can be touched.
I mean, at some point, what are you doing? Uh So, Yeah,
it's uh, it's interesting. And I want to see a
d Mitchell score a touchdown and see him refuse to
give the ball up. I mean he may, he may
(01:41:17):
keep it, go back to the bench, sit down the
football in his hands. Uh So yeah, I just don't
understand doing stuff like that. But I you know again,
it's like, man, I haven't seen that in forever. Well now,
I haven't seen that since I don't know last week.
Speaker 1 (01:41:34):
So it's it's well, well, who's who started that?
Speaker 4 (01:41:38):
Who was tagged with starting that particular ridiculous trend.
Speaker 2 (01:41:43):
Stephen Holden did a good story in ESPN, and Deshaun
Watson I remember. I remember Leon Lett in the Super
Bowl a little different though, because he was returning I
think a fumble big lineman and he kind of slowed
up and done beebe chasing down and knocked it out
of hand. But I again, prior to Jonathan Tator, I
(01:42:05):
don't remember. Oh no, that's not true because the year
that Tater did it, last year, there was a Cincinnati
Bengal defensive back either a fumble or an interception, and
he got he dropped the ball before the goal line.
So it's just I mean, how many in what's crazy
again is they tell these guys every week letters and logos,
(01:42:29):
letters and logos, don't put the ball down till you're
at the letters and logos, and then it happens. I
don't get it. It says something about the player focus.
Speaker 1 (01:42:40):
I don't.
Speaker 2 (01:42:40):
I don't know. But again, the next guy that does it,
I just I just would. I wouldn't want to be
him or his his agent because the response won't be.
Speaker 4 (01:42:50):
Kind to Mike Chapel of CBS four and Fox fifty
nineties on the Andy Moore on them Ontive Group pot Line.
We'll get to the calls in their injury situations in
just a second. Have you been disappointed in the production?
Because I know people that are Cardinal fans, like all
five of them, seem to be disappointed. And who Michael
Marvin Harrison Junior is until this point? And I know
(01:43:12):
that we all expected more and maybe that was too much,
but this is certainly not what really any of us,
including those five Cardinals fans have expected.
Speaker 2 (01:43:22):
No, and again, remember the whatever the last game we
saw on TV, it wasn't Tennessee game the one before that,
to where he was just not playing well, just he
looked detached, disinterested, rocked a couple of balls, and then
he had a great touchdown in the end zone where
he went over a guy. This is this is where uh,
and the media is to be blamed to some level,
(01:43:44):
where you make this guy out to be the best
receiver coming into the league since Randy Moss or somebody,
and then it's when he doesn't live up to you
can say, well, what's up. Well, you know, it's kind
of like with archmanding in Texas, where the media built
this guy to be a heisman and the number one
pick and all this and and now that's not who
(01:44:04):
he is. So but no, I'm a little disappointed, uh surprised,
I guess.
Speaker 6 (01:44:09):
Uh.
Speaker 2 (01:44:10):
And this is the one where you just hope that
this isn't a game where he goes off. I think
this is a great chance to put Mooney Ward on
Marvin and make him go somewhere else, because Marvin Marvin
was a special player at the o highest state he
was and he hasn't forgotten how to play, whether whether
(01:44:31):
he just isn't comfortable in that offense, or he and
Murray don't haven't clicked or whatever. I don't know. The
great players in college just don't forget how to play.
There's something up and I don't know what it is,
but it's it's sort of a level with Ady Mitchell
where people here are ready to just move on. We're
(01:44:54):
tired of it. This guy he has too much talent.
You're not You're not going to do that. And Marvin's
just be patient. I remember Reggie. I always used Reggie
as a as a reference point. He didn't really emerge
until was it mid mid of his year two or
year three? Uh? When he had when when he had
(01:45:16):
Big Marvin along with him. So I again, I think
he's gonna have a really, really good career, and I
just hope it starts after Sunday.
Speaker 4 (01:45:28):
The Shawn Jackson was the starter evidently of that. Yeah,
DeShawn Jackson, the Eagles, I believe back then you know
who started started all that. So that's dropping of the
football right if they go along. So it is definitely
(01:45:48):
a trend that everybody would like to see in.
Speaker 1 (01:45:50):
That's my chapel of CBS four.
Speaker 4 (01:45:52):
And Fox fifty nine of Andy Moore Automotive Group line.
Speaker 1 (01:45:56):
Speaking of more, how about.
Speaker 4 (01:45:57):
Kenny Moore the second got any expectation riding on that
and especially those others that did not participate in practice,
including one Grover Stewart earlier today.
Speaker 2 (01:46:09):
I'm not too concerned, and this is me talking, is
not my body partner. I think Grover's I think he's okay.
I think he prays, uh had that whenever you hear
By said, you're thinking, oh my, that may be extended time.
But I think he'll be okay. I'm encouraged by Alec Pierce.
Although we were here last week on Thursday, I'm talking
(01:46:32):
about Alec Pierce. I mean Friday, he didn't practice, so
tomorrow is a big day for him. Kennymore Is is
I don't really understand what's going on. We talked to
him yesterday and he's such a great guy and such
a great player, and you know, he's missed two games
(01:46:52):
and he's not going to practice this week unless he's
out there tomorrow at some level. And I don't I
don't see how he plays next Orca says next week
in plays Uh that game?
Speaker 4 (01:47:04):
Was it?
Speaker 2 (01:47:04):
The Chargers after that? So I I I don't understand
why they even put him on I R which.
Speaker 1 (01:47:10):
Is four games, because it may be four.
Speaker 2 (01:47:13):
Games anyway, maybe five maybe, But he's doing what he.
Speaker 1 (01:47:18):
Has to do.
Speaker 2 (01:47:18):
He said, they, you know, and they've got among the
best people docs and rehab people and all that, and
it's just when it's when it's the Achilles, it's just
it's just all your in cana go up on your
alarms on that. And then he sort of talked about that. Well,
what I thought was interesting as we talked to him,
and he said, yeah, he said he really it was
(01:47:39):
not ideal how he felt that Tennessee when it happened,
and he said, but I dodged a full ruptured Achilles.
Uh So at some level that was damaged to the Achilles,
and at least seeing you don't mess with that, you
make sure you're very cautious, and they will be. But
because of that, it's a little surprised that part of that.
(01:48:00):
I are just just to give him four or five
weeks to get it right, maybe longer, but they need him.
He's a quality player, one of the best at his position.
So we'll see where this goes.
Speaker 4 (01:48:15):
Mike Chapel of CBS four and Fox fifty nine, he's
on the Andy Moore Automotive Group pile line. We kind
have had a similar point, I think a week ago
we're regarding Ali Pears and how he felt, and then
there was a there was a moonwalk of so it's
backpedal if you will.
Speaker 1 (01:48:30):
And he did not participate. How you feeling.
Speaker 4 (01:48:32):
It looks like all systems that go to clear to
cuss your protocol and to be active.
Speaker 2 (01:48:37):
On Sunday, Well you would think so, uh, you know,
I think he came in either Thursday after practice at
some point or that evening or the next morning and
just told change Stiching that he didn't feel quite right.
He still much must have had some symptoms. And with
the with these concussions, you do not even remote well,
you can't. You can't push it because you've got to
(01:49:00):
be cleared by that independent neurologist tomorrow will tell it.
If he's out there tomorrow, then then he's passed it
and and good to go. Although again this is his
this is his third career concussion, his second in the
last nine or ten months. So you're going to be,
you know, sort of watching and making sure that you know,
(01:49:22):
because the more you have, the more susceptible you seem
to be. For another one. Hopefully he's fine, because he's
first he's a great guy, and you don't want to
see bad things happen to the guys at all, especially
like Alex and he and he's such a key components
of his offense. Again, they've done really good things about him,
(01:49:46):
but the thing he brings is really really special, So
hopefully he's okay and good to go.
Speaker 4 (01:49:53):
I I think what he brings, and I've said this before,
they cannot replicate with with anybody else. And that's a
facet of Daniel Jones game that he really doesn't have,
but he does with a guy like Ali Pearris who
could go up and get it.
Speaker 2 (01:50:09):
Yeah, the fifty to fifty things, it's kind of like
either Alec gets it or nobody gets it. And again
that's not the strength of Daniel Jones. The deep ball.
He's shown some of that in five games. But again,
you know, I guess you hope for ad Mitchell will
be that kind of a guy that he just hasn't
(01:50:30):
had the chance or cashed in when he's had the chance.
Aston Douland was amazing last week, which should which should
surprise nobody that that's who he is. You know, On
our podcast today on CBS four and Fox fifty nine,
I sort of mentioned I compared Ashon Dooland to Jack
(01:50:50):
Doyle to where you need that guy on your roster
that just does things that that yes, some people see him,
but things that people don't see. And when you need
something done, either Jack Doyle does it or Ashton Dooland
does it. Remember Zach Pastor was that kind of a guy.
(01:51:11):
And you know, I always say you can you need
a couple of those guys. You can't have too many
of them, and then you're just a run in the
middle team. But boy, those guys when they're able to
be the fourth receiver and your top special teams guy.
And again he should have. He had a nine eight
yard touchdown called back for granted aloud on a kickoff.
Speaker 4 (01:51:31):
Uh.
Speaker 2 (01:51:32):
So that's what it could have been a really really
special day. But that's why, that's why just this group
works well together, because Pierce goes down and Mitchell's in
the doghouse. So Ashton Dulan steps up and gives you
such a great game. It was the most he's played
an offense. And you would if you didn't know that,
(01:51:54):
you would have known that. Uh, just because of the
way he handled it. He just looked like he fit
right in.
Speaker 1 (01:52:01):
Well.
Speaker 4 (01:52:02):
I mean, I coach, fans are kind of wondering if
maybe we're going to see you know, every former Bengal
that played for lou An Aroumo be a part of
this defense at some point. And Jermaine Pratt is the latest.
I said this, I mean, does he he has to
automatically be better than what they had, you know, outside
(01:52:22):
of Zaire Franklin to this point.
Speaker 1 (01:52:23):
Is is that fair to say?
Speaker 2 (01:52:25):
Yeah? Yeah, because it's not. Really they've really not gotten
what they want. You know, we all thought it would
be Jalen Carlis and that's not happened. He's still on
IR and yeah, it hasn't worked. And they they they've
lessened the linebacker position by using more dbs, which is fine,
but you still you need quality play from your linebackers.
(01:52:47):
They haven't gotten it outside of Zaire. And I expect
Jermaine Pratt to start on you. I do. I just
it's not like he's not been playing. He started four
games for the Raiders and then for whatever reason, they
team home when they came here last weekend. So yeah,
it's okay to have former players from a decent from
(01:53:08):
a coordinator as long as they're the right one Mike
Hilton was a good pick up and then he gets
hurt h and Jermaine Pratt will be an upgrade. My
only we were talking in the press room and the
only thing is they had a chance to sign Jermaine
Pratt like six weeks ago when the Bengals cut him
(01:53:29):
right and they didn't. Uh so, I guess they were
trying to give their own players more of a chance
to grow in the position and it didn't work. And
now you get you get an experienced linebacker who started
a ton been productive, and yes, it's gonna be it's
got to be an upgrade because you just haven't got
(01:53:51):
enough out of that that side kicks as I are.
Speaker 1 (01:53:55):
Yeah, it's been a struggle.
Speaker 4 (01:53:58):
Uh the money badger, what do you think about the
transition they're making from a guy that was money himself
the entire time and then the jack assery of a
special teams play ended his season.
Speaker 2 (01:54:12):
Yeah, he's whenever you get guys there's a reason they're
out the way or talk about that. But he's a
good replacement. I wish he had a stronger leg. I
mean he's five or thirteen on fifty yarders. They got
rid of a guy in the off season because he
couldn't kick fifty yarders with Matt Gay. But again he
(01:54:33):
came in and he misses his last year with the
torn hamstring. He's passed at and apparently had a great workout,
and you know Shane Stacking new him with the Chargers.
That always helps. He was here in twenty one and
kicked well. That always helps. I'd forgotten until I look
at that. But they signed him as the undraft as
an undrafted rookie back in two thousand and eight. Pen
(01:54:55):
of it was to work with Vinitary for a year
for the for training camps. He knows his way around,
He's kicked well. I think it will require them to
readjust their thinking when they get around midfield in how
aggressive and how you got pound and you know, Joel
(01:55:16):
Erickson brought up and it's a good point that maybe
the target line is a thirty three now on kicking
field goals, which is around a fifty yard field goal.
But because you can only go on what a guy's done,
and he's not been reliable outside of fifty he's like eight.
I think he's like eighty eight percent on forty nine
and in which is good, not great. It's good, but
(01:55:40):
when you're replacing the guy who right now was the
best kicker in the league. I realized it was five games,
but Spencer Trader was off the charts and reliable and
although him too, you weren't really sure what you had
on fifty yarders with him because you didn't have a
lot of attempts. Well, it's such, it's just a.
Speaker 4 (01:56:02):
Well, you never want to take away what has been
a positive, and clearly he's been a positive and he
don't want to take that away.
Speaker 2 (01:56:09):
And what a great story it was, and you just
hate to see something like that go down and and
and what might have been. And he gets his chance
and he's kicking well and sort of a hometown kid
although he's not from here, but he lives here. So
just a shame.
Speaker 4 (01:56:29):
That is my chapel of CBS, FOI and Fox withy nine.
He's on the Andymore on the Mondif group line. Anything
else stand out to you? Hey, I did want to
ask you this before we go. I know James wants
me to go really quickly. I asked this on Monday.
Who do you think has helped the other more? Daniel
Jones and Shane Stikeen or Shane Stikeen and Daniel Jones.
Speaker 2 (01:56:52):
Uh, how about Jonathan Taylor and Tyler Warren.
Speaker 1 (01:56:57):
No.
Speaker 2 (01:56:57):
I that's a good Shane I can probably. I think
Shane has been able to He saw what a lot
of us didn't see or didn't want to see on
the reliability consistency, and it's just worked. So it's worked
because of Shane and because Jones has got the best
(01:57:18):
supporting cast, including the augmentative line that he's had in
his career.
Speaker 1 (01:57:25):
So, Mike Chapel of CBS four and Fox fifty nine.
Speaker 4 (01:57:27):
On the Andy Moore on the Mother Creer plot line,
it may I may have to come over in most
and property here in November at some point, so well,
you know, Montah or if.
Speaker 2 (01:57:38):
If we get that ten inches of snow, you can
come over here and get my walks clear.
Speaker 1 (01:57:44):
I can do that too.
Speaker 4 (01:57:46):
It's good, buddy. I appreciate you. We'll see you on Sunday, Mike.
Speaker 2 (01:57:50):
You guys be aware, we'll see you.

Speaker 1 (01:59:04):
Was Rossovitch the actor? Was that slider that was with
Iceman back then?
Speaker 4 (01:59:13):
Am I just over everybody said with my Top Gun
trivia right here?
Speaker 5 (01:59:16):
My apologies, Well, your your knowledge is pretty outstanding.
Speaker 4 (01:59:19):
My slider that freaked out in combat, had to take
a seat.
Speaker 1 (01:59:26):
Can fly anymore? Get piece of name with what you're
talking about. I know the scenes, I just.
Speaker 4 (01:59:30):
Don't know the name. The beach volleyball scenes the greatest.
It is just cruise, shirtless and jeans means, I don't
care who you are.
Speaker 1 (01:59:41):
You're a dork. He used to see a little bit
of that down in the day job.
Speaker 4 (01:59:48):
I used to play basketball against dudes playing geen shorts.
Speaker 1 (01:59:53):
Seriously, God, but they were hot back in the night. Man, Oh,
the geen shorts. We got some mac here. What's up?
Berlin lost his wings? Oh yeah, that.
Speaker 4 (02:00:05):
Is something right. There's some activity right there.
Speaker 1 (02:00:08):
Hey, Michael, So I have the uh the father.
Speaker 4 (02:00:12):
Make sure I get this right here, Mike, Michael rejoins
us from awen porium here in Greenwood. I have the
uh father of Mallory. Where's Mallory your server. There's Mallory
out here right now. Her father is Terry, and Terry
wanted me to give Mallory a shout out.
Speaker 1 (02:00:33):
We should get Mallory up here to say hi.
Speaker 4 (02:00:35):
Yeah, that's all too familiar in my remote way. Wow,
you guys got you get Mallory. Mallory's dead is listening
right now.
Speaker 1 (02:00:47):
That's awesome.
Speaker 5 (02:00:48):
Yeah, a great place here, right, I mean, look at this,
I mean, great crowd out right now. The food's outstanding,
the drinks are outstanding, that sports are flowing.
Speaker 4 (02:00:56):
It's it's happening. It's as definitely, definitely has happened. Something's
happening was going on with the got our Greenwood fire
departments here. I know, man, one in the world is
going on right here, no doubt.
Speaker 1 (02:01:09):
Oh man, that's right out there, is it? Huh?
Speaker 2 (02:01:12):
No?
Speaker 1 (02:01:13):
Is it? Oh my goodness? Yeah, what happened? Interesting, that's
what happened. What that was? But hey, seriously, Week six
we did that.
Speaker 4 (02:01:27):
We did college with i U in Oregon, which is
a staple, Brent. We've got Phillies, Dodgers, Brewers, Cubs, and
Nlds pair back to back later on tonight, we're with
an opportunity with the Phillies and the Cubs to force
a decisive Game.
Speaker 1 (02:01:44):
Five in their series.
Speaker 5 (02:01:45):
Yeah, and I think I think we might even see
that tonight. I think this game is gonna be really close.
And again it's tough for I mean, those Dodgers are outstanding,
but we're gonna see that. I mean they're with their
first pitch at six oh eight, and then we're going
to back it up three hours later Milwaukee and Chicago.
That could be the wrap up game here. But we
have a new special guest gonna join us right now.
We put that to move that down.
Speaker 4 (02:02:05):
A little, put that microphone down in front of your
there you go, right.
Speaker 1 (02:02:09):
So is your dad named Terry?
Speaker 4 (02:02:11):
Yes, your dad just sent me a message on X
and say hello to Mallory, and I say, I can
do you even better.
Speaker 1 (02:02:18):
We can get her on the air right here. He
is so funny. Hi dad, he already texted me earlier.
You guys here.
Speaker 6 (02:02:25):
I was like, oh no, I said that means I'm
gonna have to get on there.
Speaker 1 (02:02:28):
Yes, welcome Mallori standing got him some.
Speaker 5 (02:02:35):
Beautiful well, good Terry, take care of there, Terry, join
us next time we're out in about to Mallory. Well,
we'll get you on to do some special picks with

Speaker 1 (02:02:46):

Speaker 4 (02:02:46):
Your dad's a fantastic dude. Yeah, he's a fantastic guy.
So I and I recognize whenever he sends me stuff,
I recognize him.
Speaker 1 (02:02:54):
So that's I'm glad I saw.
Speaker 6 (02:02:56):
He definitely is the best dad around.
Speaker 1 (02:02:58):
That's awesome. Mallory, think you're gonna be working here all night.
That's my section. Section is right over here.
Speaker 4 (02:03:03):
Yeah, you got chops over there, section right there.
Speaker 1 (02:03:06):
Shut up the Mallory section. That's awesome. They're embarrassing me.
Thank you guys so much. Thank you tell you that. Hello, Okay, Terry.
Speaker 4 (02:03:20):
Terry is Mallory's father, and Terry is a big looking
at everybody coming in here right now. We got flashing lines,
and Malory's here and Michael is back.
Speaker 1 (02:03:30):
Hey Michael.
Speaker 4 (02:03:30):
What we got going on later on tonight and going
into the weekend here with the Allen Porium Greenwood.
Speaker 8 (02:03:34):
Oh man, We've got all kinds of great stuff Allen
Poria and Greenwood's got to be the best place around
to watch sports. Obviously, we have that huge I you
organ matchup. Yeah, that's going to be massive. We're really
excited about that.
Speaker 4 (02:03:46):
Uh.
Speaker 8 (02:03:47):
And then you know, the Colts are going to be
back in action along with all the other NFL teams
that are not as important as the Colts.
Speaker 1 (02:03:52):
So we're really excited about that. You know.
Speaker 8 (02:03:53):
I mean, this is a great place to spend your
Saturday and Sundays for football. You know, another really interesting
thing we have going on for anybody that comes in
is our Ale Emporium Painted Pumpkin Fundraiser.
Speaker 1 (02:04:04):
Bye.
Speaker 8 (02:04:05):
This is our first annual year doing this fundraiser and
we're really excited about it. So when you come in
this weekend to watch the games, just take a look
for all of the pumpkins that you've see around the building.
They're all brightly decorated with a lot of cool different
designs done by our staff. And the point of these
pumpkins is if you didn't have a chance to make
it to the pumpkin patch, or you just want to
(02:04:26):
be supportive, come in on Saturday, October twenty fifth for
our silent auction. All proceeds from the painted pumpkins silent
auction will be going straight to the Humane Society of
Johnson County. So that's something we really care about and
we're really excited for. So we hope that everybody comes
in scouts out, finds their favorite pumpkin, and comes in
ready on the twenty fifth to place a bid and
(02:04:48):
hopefully walk away with their favorite pumpkin.
Speaker 1 (02:04:50):
A little bit of how fageration. I saw some beautiful
ones walking in. I was like, man that's a good
looking pumpkins out there, so done. That's very cool.
Speaker 5 (02:04:57):
You guys do that man, absolutely, and main society, right,
there's a lot of animals out there that need some
love and it takes.
Speaker 4 (02:05:03):
Some support from all of us at school. You guys
are facilitating that. So hats off, tail on that man.
That's great.
Speaker 1 (02:05:08):
Bring your pumpkins in painted up or come in and
bidden by right.
Speaker 4 (02:05:12):
I ordered twenty four Hermanokey's grilled because that's what I do, buddy,
Let me tell you that.
Speaker 1 (02:05:18):
Now do they do? Do you guys?
Speaker 4 (02:05:20):
Ever?
Speaker 1 (02:05:20):
Do you know the ton of knakeys down here? Or
is that just like a north side thing? I think
that's just a noise, That's what I thought. Tell you,
is that just a north side thing? Well it is,
and you know what I found out. So we were in, uh.
Speaker 5 (02:05:29):
I was in with the family the other night up at
the fish Fisher's location and we got the Todd makis
for the filly and they are really good.
Speaker 1 (02:05:37):
They got a little bit of extra spice. They do they.
Speaker 3 (02:05:41):
Trying the day.
Speaker 1 (02:05:41):
Oh yeah, I took him home. Oh nice, I took him.
I took him home and they gave me like two
orders to take home. I was busy. So have you
heard about the Todd Knakis? You know what the tot
of knakeys are.
Speaker 4 (02:05:54):
And I feel good about it, Michael, because the only
time they say they get orders.
Speaker 1 (02:05:58):
And when I bring it up on the radio, he said,
ever since we.
Speaker 5 (02:06:01):
Brought that up on the radio, they have gotten more
people asking about the time, which I love to hear.
Speaker 1 (02:06:05):
Right, and that's awesome. Well, so I'm I'm stumped.
Speaker 5 (02:06:09):
So Todd kitchen manager, I believe, up at the Fisher's location,
has taken the hermanakey, which is one of my favorite
styles of all time, and he's.
Speaker 1 (02:06:17):
Added a little twist to it.
Speaker 5 (02:06:19):
He's added a couple more ingredients that I guess we're
not able.
Speaker 1 (02:06:22):
To be privy too. But uh there, it's really good.
It's just had.
Speaker 5 (02:06:25):
It has a little bit more. It's definitely more spice
to it, maybe a little bit more. It's got a
little brownish color to it. So I'm not sure what
does that, but I will tell you I actually I
ate them and a little little too hot for Lisa,
so she backed down.
Speaker 1 (02:06:37):
And it's a little bit spicy.
Speaker 5 (02:06:39):
It was great though, but I'll tell you what the
next what I love about those wings. And I always
get the the large, large order and because I can
take them home and I can eat them for lunch
next day, and they are so good second day, third day.
I mean, it's it's awesome, but they were really really good.
They passed the test on that too.
Speaker 4 (02:06:55):
You have to do some research, Todd Naki, it's hot,
instigate it is high. Definitely worth a visit for sure, Michael.
I love this place, man. You guys do such a
great job. And how long have you worked here?
Speaker 1 (02:07:06):
A little over a year? Good good for you. Man.
Been heading out to the new Avon location and that opens.
Speaker 8 (02:07:11):
Yeah, we're really excited. I personally can't wait. I'm from
the West Side, so I not wait to bring Alan
Forium to Avon. That's gonna be It's gonna be big.
Speaker 5 (02:07:20):
You're gonna make a lot of people happy, because I
cannot tell you how many times I talk to people going, Man,
if I'm anywhere near Castleton, Greenwood Fishers Geist, I've got
to get allporm wings and they're all West Side people, right,
And it's a little bit of a hall.
Speaker 1 (02:07:32):
So now you're saying, you know what, We're gonna bring
it to you.
Speaker 8 (02:07:34):
Right, Yeah, that's what hermanocky wings are for making people happy.
Speaker 1 (02:07:37):
That is, it's been Mike has been doing it for
a long time.
Speaker 4 (02:07:40):
Of our Week six picks, which one are you most
confident in?
Speaker 8 (02:07:45):
Oh Man, most confident? I definitely. I feel really good
about the colts Man. Well, yeah, I like it. I
don't think Arizona's I think I.
Speaker 1 (02:07:55):
Feel as good about that as anything else on this list.
Speaker 8 (02:07:59):
I feel like we're in our and they're not, and
you know, I think we might be poised to have
a really good showing.
Speaker 1 (02:08:05):
So I really like that game. I like the seven.
Speaker 8 (02:08:08):
I know that's it's a whole touchdown that's hard to
do in the NFL, but I just I like it.
Speaker 1 (02:08:12):
I like I like the feel of that pal It's
been a pleasure.

need to get a hold of Tony and you know
it's been too long. I'm going to reach out to
him and just say hey, because it's been been a
few months. And Missle Tony Wren's great, great guy.
Speaker 4 (02:10:08):
T Wrens is awesome man, absolusolutely awesome. So, speaking of which,
we've got the opportunity for people to join us next week.
Speaker 1 (02:10:18):
Where are we located, Brent. We're gonna move sides of
town a little bit here. John, we're going far north.
We are for you. It'll take me a minute to
get up there.
Speaker 5 (02:10:26):
We're gonna be a Joe's Grill in Westfield next week.
And I was told mister Nally is not gonna be there.
He will be on fall break. I think he leaves
tomorrow now. Is that a two week fall break? What
is it at Mount Vernon?
Speaker 1 (02:10:40):
They used to be too, it's down one week, used
to be two.
Speaker 5 (02:10:43):
But now one week we're the our kids start Friday
as well, but we do to sectionals and stuff. We're
not able to go anywhere for a fall break, so
we've got some volleyball coming up sectional wise. But yeah,
next week we will be next Thursday at Joe's Grill
in Westfield. We'll have mister Ryan Miller with us, and
I believe guest appearance from mister Kent Murphy never bunt,
never bunt. Mister Nick Hall will be joining us there
(02:11:05):
maybe to do some picks and talk about. He's been
out in California.
Speaker 4 (02:11:09):
Doing some some video footage for some kind of a
pilot type deal he's got going on.
Speaker 1 (02:11:15):
So it's just you know, pilot show finely. Oh no, no,
not flying, just like flying his.
Speaker 4 (02:11:21):
Uh his smoking a cigarette on the couch. No, he
doesn't fund stuff.
Speaker 5 (02:11:28):
Nicholls awesome, but yeah, coach Kent Murphy should be joined
us to uh walking him.
Speaker 1 (02:11:33):
He's awesome man. He's a big baseball fan too.
Speaker 4 (02:11:35):
So well he got who was it he got on
the show? Was it Josh Donaldson? We were in uh
I think we're who's backyard? Were we in doing the
backyard Bourbon broadcast? Was it Shawn Collinsworth's backyard and he
had somebody call in.
Speaker 1 (02:11:51):
From Major League Baseball.
Speaker 4 (02:11:52):
I thought, I remember that. I don't know where it
was at, Josh Donaldson. Maybe it was somebody else. I
can't remember, years ago.
Speaker 1 (02:12:00):
It was years ago. He's a good guy. He's a
good guy, funny, funny guy. Yeah, I love Nikole.
Speaker 5 (02:12:05):
It'll be fun. Yeah, Joe's Westfield next Thursday for week seven.
Already John week seven coming up next week. We're talking
Week six today, of course, But how time flies?
Speaker 2 (02:12:15):
Man?
Speaker 4 (02:12:15):
I am completely screwed on this because I don't like
really seventy five percent of my picks.
Speaker 1 (02:12:22):
I think really sucked today.
Speaker 5 (02:12:23):
See I love seventy five of mine and hate twenty five.
I'll be anxious to see how that all flips out.
I think we're different.
Speaker 1 (02:12:27):
On six.
Speaker 4 (02:12:29):
I was glad though I started out zero and two.
I was unbeaten on Thursday night until last week, and
then took my first l on Thursday night.
Speaker 1 (02:12:38):
But I hate these matchups this week.
Speaker 4 (02:12:41):
Other than the Colts, I like that a great deal,
seven point favorites, But I mean the fourteen at Green
Bay Sure with a new quarterback who just got off
the bus, yesterday for the Bengals and Joe Flacco. But still,
fourteen's a big number. I yeah, I just I don't
like it. I like the Colts, I like the command
and at home four and a half way favorites over
(02:13:02):
the Bears, the Steelers five and a half over the Browns,
but not much more than that. And maybe the Cowboys
minus three is a road favorite in Carolina, but not
much more than that.
Speaker 1 (02:13:16):
That's hard. I think wik six is tough. It is tough.
Speaker 5 (02:13:20):
And again, you look at a lot of things like
how they played the week before.
Speaker 1 (02:13:23):
It's what the.
Speaker 5 (02:13:23):
Public's looking at, right, who played? You know, Tonight's game
great example. You know, you look and saw that the Giants.
They come off a loss. So it's Philly, but Philly's
the superior team. Seven points, big number for a division rival.
Speaker 1 (02:13:40):
In New York.
Speaker 5 (02:13:40):
It's going to be a tough that game. Tonight's got
me question marked, you know, I mean again, you've got it.
I like Philly, but it could be good that Philly's dock.
Speaker 1 (02:13:47):
They don't cover.
Speaker 5 (02:13:48):
They don't cover big numbers all the time, so it's
going to be interesting. Hey, that's why they play, That's
why we talk through we also say make sure you
watch the the injury reports because that's going to come
into play on a couple of these games.
Speaker 1 (02:13:58):
We're hanging on, hanging on the end.
Speaker 4 (02:14:00):
Doubt about that too. So yeah, not much. Patriots minus
three and a half. I think on the road at
New Orleans, the way New England is playing right now,
I think New England's going to be a challenger in
the AFC when it is said and done. The way they're
playing right now, Mike Vrabel and it started out a
little bit slow, obviously at home.
Speaker 1 (02:14:16):
He saw Geno Smith light him up in week number one.
Speaker 4 (02:14:19):
But he's got them and Drake May playing incredibly well
right now.
Speaker 1 (02:14:23):
Really, are Stefan Diggs dial dig? That's hard to do.
Wasn't that pretty wild though?
Speaker 5 (02:14:27):
I mean you see that that revenge game against your
old team came out and then you know, flashed some eyes.
Speaker 1 (02:14:32):
And he put up some numbers. Man, he looked good.
He looked real good.
Speaker 4 (02:14:34):
Win Shueler's credibility original sharp cheddar, bacon and cheddar and
jalapeno pepper. You can find that your favorite grocer's refrigerator.
I found that admire all the minor locations at Central Indiana.
They'll have the spreadability of win Shuelers Gordon Food Service

send that to me on X and a picture and
I'll make sure everybody gets the spreadability of win Shulers
(02:14:56):
for the fall.
Speaker 1 (02:14:57):
Of twenty twenty five. Next week.
Speaker 5 (02:14:59):
Joe's Girl, Joe's Girl Westfield next week and uh, we'll
talk some spreadability there as well.
Speaker 1 (02:15:05):
Phil's Dodgers six.
Speaker 4 (02:15:06):
Oh eight, about ready to start Dodger Stadium.
Speaker 1 (02:15:08):
The Phillies try to stay alive. Who do you got.
I think the Phillies might keep it close and then
they're gonna win the game that I think they're gonna
push it to five.
Speaker 4 (02:15:14):
Freers Cubs similar situation game four regularly, didn't I Knowers,
wrap it up and take it on. Here you go,
Brent Hoolvers have an illness Jillery, prove dev great job
out of you.
Speaker 1 (02:15:23):
