Speaker 1 (00:00):
Hi, I'm Alexa and I'm Rory, and together we are the

Speaker 2 (00:05):
We are married To each other Right.

Speaker 1 (00:09):
We are a touring musical duo.

Speaker 2 (00:11):
And our music has taken us to all kinds of places
all around the world and keepsus always on the go.

Speaker 1 (00:16):
So we hope you enjoy our stories and adventures while
running around working to keepall your plates spinning.

Speaker 2 (00:22):
And we hope, to facilitate your busy lifestyle
and feed your inner travel bug.

Speaker 3 (00:30):
Hi everyone.
We hope that you have beenenjoying our latest series on
Placentia, belize, andspecifically within that
Serenian Bay Resort and Villaswhere we had the privilege of
getting to stay and experienceour excursions and experience
Belize for the first time.

Speaker 1 (00:50):
And experience Belize's only all-inclusive
resort.

Speaker 3 (00:55):
Yeah, Very cool.

Speaker 1 (00:57):
A boutique.

Speaker 3 (00:58):
Yes.

Speaker 1 (00:59):
All-inclusive resort.

Speaker 3 (01:00):
There are a few other resorts in Belize that have
kind of a version of allinclusive but they're not all
inclusive the way that it reallymeans all inclusive, except
Serenian Bay.
It's very special.
We are so privileged that wegot to go experiences with you

(01:21):
this past month.
We have also been able tointerview Brian Montgomery who
is the.
You know, he and his wifestarted the founders and owners.
Yes, so just hearing kind oftheir dreams and their passions
behind the resort, behind thepeople of the village and all of
the things they're doing, issuper wonderful.
You're going to hear just acouple excerpts again from Brian

(01:44):
, but we wanted to just liketalk to you, talk you through,
like some of the amenities ofthe actual resort.
We've taken you through thetown, we've taken you on
excursions, we've taken you onour waterfall tour, all of those
kinds of things, placentiaitself.
But we wanted to dive in andspecifically talk about what we

(02:05):
experienced on Serenian Bay,like if we were just kind of not
doing anything else on theisland and we were there here's
all of the wonderful things youcan do.
So, rory, I think we shouldstart out with our room.
Oh yeah, okay, so like, ouramenities, because it's a resort
, so where are you going to bestaying?

Speaker 1 (02:22):
right?
Yeah Well, I think to call itour room would be like I don't
know like an understatement.
Yeah, like call it a 747, abird.
Yeah, our room was a two storyvilla.

Speaker 5 (02:38):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (02:39):
The, the, the downstairs, huge living space
with an outdoor shower, a fullbath inside an outdoor shower.
Let's see what else there wasthe, of course, the fridge and
all these kinds of things.
There was no kitchen, becausethere's no point in a kitchen.
It's an all-inclusive resort.

(02:59):
Anytime you want something, youcan either walk out and get it
or pick up the phone and they'llbring it right to you.

Speaker 3 (03:06):
When we walked into, like the main door, the entrance
, there was a couch on thebottom, this really cool table,
so just a nice seating area, andthen that bathroom that Rory
was telling you about and thefridge.
Then there's a stairway thatgoes upstairs and you have a
loft area, and so in the loftarea was our bedroom, and the

(03:32):
view of the bed faces the water.

Speaker 1 (03:35):
The ocean.
There's nothing between ourvilla and the ocean, just some
sand, yeah, like the beach, justsome sand, that's all, and some
palm trees.

Speaker 3 (03:44):
So that, and then behind the bed is the bathroom
portion, and so the bathroomlet's talk about that.
That had a super cool bathtub.
I'm a bath girl If y'all havebeen following us and listening,
y'all know I need my baths, andso it had a nice big bathtub.
So even if I didn't have a hottub or my own pool at the at the

(04:06):
resort I, it was a really nicebig, deep bathtub with jets, and
then we had a full shower, yeah, huge shower, walk-in shower.
Bathtub and then a double sink.

Speaker 1 (04:18):
Yeah, so you walk in the front front door downstairs.
First of all, there's a porch.
You come around and you're atthe front of the villa and
there's a porch.

Speaker 3 (04:24):
you can sit on Wait, so you're starting down at the
beginning again.
I'm outside.

Speaker 1 (04:27):
You walk around to the front of, like I said, you
walk around to the front of thething, outside, and there's this
porch, a wonderful porch, witha seating area, a table, and
you're looking right there atthe ocean.
That's what.
Maybe 30, 20, 30, 20 yards awaywould you say, maybe 30, but
there's nothing between you andthe ocean except sand and palm

(04:49):
trees.
It's awesome.
So you walk in and, as she said, there's the couch there and
then, further on an eating area,to the right's the bath, and
then you walk outside throughthe bath and there's an outdoor
shower.
Now, as you walk in, if you turndirectly right, there are the
stairs, like you walk to theright, to the stairs, in between
the stairs and the bathroom.

(05:09):
You're with me now on this farright wall.
As you're walking, you'relooking at your far right wall.
There's the big TV andeverything.
All that stuff's there.
So all that stuff exists.
We did I don't think we eventurned the TV on.
What's the point?
Where we were staying?
I don't think we even turned iton.
But, okay, you go up the stairsand you there's a big wardrobe,
yeah, big wardrobe.
And then, as you turn left, there's this big full bath, big

(05:32):
bath with double vanity, a hugemirror and if you continue
turning left, you walk along thebanister, the stairs that I
mean.
She called it a loft, but it'sit's a huge bedroom.
So yeah, it is a loft, it is aloft.

Speaker 3 (05:49):
It's.
It's a huge bedroom.
So, yeah, it is a lot.
It is a lot like so it's openon that side.
Villa yeah, and every singlevilla and and um room in at the
resort are completely differentand they all have different
names based on uh, brian sharedwith us that each one kind of
has a story, so ours is calledpelican, because it overlooks
the water.

Speaker 1 (06:03):
Yeah, pelicans rise high in the sky and float and
along that line.
We're on the second floor ofours and, like I said, huge
sleeping area, and she mentionedit faces the ocean.
All glass sliding doors facethe ocean.
You walk outside onto yoursecond floor deck and, speaking
of, you know, thinking of the,the Pelicans floating through

(06:25):
the air.
On the left side of your deckis your own private little pool.

Speaker 3 (06:30):
It was so cool.

Speaker 1 (06:31):
Ridiculous, so you can float in the air in your
pool.
It was so awesome.

Speaker 3 (06:37):
I mean, it was like a little mini pool.

Speaker 1 (06:40):
Man.

Speaker 3 (06:41):
And it was really wonderful.

Speaker 1 (06:43):
Yeah, all AC'd, all AC'd.
So it's like super cool, as inlike comfortable air
conditioning, and then we wouldleave the door open a little bit
to hear the ocean at night.
And it was amazing beingperfectly comfortable and cool
listening to that ocean at night.
Oh man, Our place was great.
Oh, and since it was thePelican, our front door it's all

(07:05):
wooden.
They do all their own woodworkand everything.
So all the furniture insidethey built all the wood
furniture and stuff which youknow Our door is carved, full
door size.
Carving of a Pelican Our villawas ridiculous, amazing.

Speaker 3 (07:19):
We vote that you ask for the Pelican because it is
really cool.
We haven't stayed in the others, but we right I did get to see
another one and you'll you'llsee a little glimpse of another
beachfront villa that they have.
They have a turtle villa thathas a private pool and a palapa.

(07:40):
You'll get a little.
You'll see a little glimpse ofthat as well on our socials.
The rooms themselves are reallygreat, but we spent most of the
time on our deck upstairs.
We were down.
We were very little downstairs.
It was really fun to be on asecond floor overlooking the
beach and the water and havingthat pool next to you, being in
it or next to it all are good.

Speaker 1 (08:02):
We ate out there.
Ran out there.

Speaker 3 (08:04):
Yeah, just comfy seating to just lay out, rest
and etc.
So all of the rooms.
Brian had mentioned this in ourum a previous episode about how
he wanted to bring all of thefun amenities that we might be
used to as americans and that wecan enjoy there, and so there's
full air conditioning.
The other thing is that thereis an Alexa, so, where I

(08:26):
mentioned the TV, if you wantedthe TV on, you could have just
said hey, alexa, turn on the TV.

Speaker 1 (08:32):
Yeah, or change the temperature from the air
conditioning.

Speaker 3 (08:35):
So all of that stuff.
There was an Alexa, so I meanwe had two Alexas in the room at
that point, right.

Speaker 1 (08:40):
So the pool area is like on the side where we stayed
, where all the villas and stuffcurrently are.
It's like the center ofeverything, and everything there
is open to the beach.
It's really cool.
Snooty's Bar, like we said, isright there with the swim-up bar
.
There's also a beach grill nextto the pool and that whole side

(09:02):
features the ocean and thebeach essentially.

Speaker 3 (09:06):
So, speaking of the pool and bar area, that reminds
me of all the restaurants.
So there are severalrestaurants on the Serenian Bay
property and Marco is the headchef and connoisseur, and all of
that and like everyone else, asuper nice guy Right right,
right, and so there are a lot of.

(09:30):
You have your all-inclusivethat is part of your package,
but there are some add-ons thatyou can get, and so Marco is
going to talk us through.

Speaker 1 (09:41):
we had this big event and we got to talk with Marco
directly Wine tasting and allkind of stuff that they had, and
Marco was giving a presentationbasically about all the extra
things that you can have.
It's basically endless andyou'll hear at the end of this
little short conversation that Ihave with Marco that he'll talk
about hey, you dream it up,they'll try and create it.

Speaker 3 (10:04):
Yes, but the things they already have kind of in
place that are ready for you, ready to go.
Here's Marco.

Speaker 5 (10:12):
Yes, dinner on the beach, backstage class, culinary
class, wine tasting, rumtasting those are not part of
the all-inclusive, those areadditional charges and if guests
are interested to do, andthat's when I come in and book
it and set the time and then wego ahead and set it up on the
beach.

Speaker 1 (10:29):
So they can tell you what they love and what their
desire and the reason they'retraveling.
Yes, you can work with them anddevelop some special dinner on
the beach just to go along withwhat their passion is yes,
that's right and um, that'sthat's why we call it the guest
signature experience.
That is so cool.
Yeah, thank you, man, you'rewelcome.
In addition to all of that likesomething that Marco didn't

(10:53):
talk about on the recording, buthe talked about to us you can
have a private chef service.
I mean how ridiculous A privatebartender service they can do.
I think he just mentionedDinner on the Beach.
You dream it up?
Bartender service they can do.
I think he just mentionedDinner on the Beach.
You dream it up?
No-transcript, Check this out.
You can have a private butler.

(11:13):
So I mean, these are someamazing offerings that they
offer to be redundant offerings.

Speaker 3 (11:24):
Well, yeah, as an add-on, yeah add-ons that you
can do.
The first thing I did.
We put our bags down and Iwalked over and I got me a
paddleboard.
So included within your stay, there's not an extra charge you
can kayak a paddleboard.
So included within your stay, there's not an extra charge.
You can kayak or paddleboard, and so, since I think
paddleboarding is way betterthan kayaking, that's my

(11:44):
personal vote.
Rory's more of a kayak fan, butyou can sit on a paddleboard and
do the same thing.
So, anyway, that's my littlespeech.
So I grabbed a paddleboard andgot in that water right away,
and so that was really cool.
They just sent someone over tohelp me get in the water with
the paddleboard they had there, and so I really enjoyed the

(12:07):
paddleboarding.
It was quite windy and you areon the ocean, so different from
the little river that we have inWaco, so that is available to
you as well, right there atSerenium Bay.

Speaker 1 (12:22):
Oh, I got to mention I forgot to talk about this At
our villa, when we got upstairsto our bedroom, these ridiculous
, amazing towel sculptures wouldyou call them that?
They had these swans and facingeach other.
That made a heart between theirbodies.
It was pretty awesome.

Speaker 3 (12:41):
Yeah, and little decorations with, like the
toilet paper.

Speaker 1 (12:44):
Yeah, all those little things that at really
nice places that you run into.
You know, after all, this is anexclusive boutique resort.
And downstairs, when we came in, was this gorgeous flower
bouquet in our villa as well.
Really cool.
This is the thing we had aplunge pool on our second floor,
on our balcony, we talked about, but they have private pools at

(13:04):
several of their villas.
I know they have manatee, seahorse, turtle.
I mean it's really cool.
You've got options here.
The villa we stayed in had theone bedroom big loft bedroom
upstairs with the king size bedthat was bigger than any king
size I've ever slept in.

Speaker 3 (13:22):
It was a really big bed yeah.

Speaker 1 (13:24):
I mean, and they probably could bring in other
beds for others if you had, youknow, your children with you or
friends or something but if youwant to bring your family I love
traveling with family and weused to go on vacations as a
family when I was a kid andstuff they have these huge
villas you can stay in.
The Manatee Villa sleeps 14.
You've got your own privatepool and their own hot tub and
this palapa.

(13:45):
As Alexa mentioned, there'salso the Seahorse Villa, which
sleeps 10, again with a privatepool, amazing outdoor space.
It's just really great theoptions you have.
And these are beautiful villahome things.
I mean gorgeous.
We might post some picturesfrom them uh, from a couple of
them we're gonna post somepictures from these things.

Speaker 3 (14:08):
Yes, so follow us on.
Instagram and Facebook at theRomies.

Speaker 1 (14:12):
Yeah, so that that side of the resort is where we
stayed, but there's like astreet it's sort of the main
street that goes down the thepeninsula.
Yeah, so that side of theresort is where we stayed, but
there's like a street it's sortof the main street that goes
down the peninsula.
Yeah, but when I say mainstreet, that's an exaggeration,
right, but you see a car Everyso often.
Yeah, every so often.
It's not like you're crossing abig busy street and it's

(14:33):
dangerous or anything like that, but across the street.
You walk directly across thestreet from where we are, and to
the right right there is Inky's, one of their restaurants.

Speaker 3 (14:44):
And Brian Montgomery, the owner, is going to tell us
a little bit of history aboutInky's.

Speaker 4 (14:52):
So you asked about Inky's.
Inky's is our entertainmentside of the resort.
That's across the street fromthe resort.
That's where we go the minigolf, the pickleball, the gym,
the dive pool and all the otheramenities we have here.
Chicken and bleeds is very good.

(15:13):
They do a lot of greatcraftsmanship when it comes to
wood.
When we first walked here, a guywas driving by one day and
pulled in.
He didn't need any wood.
I go, no, sir.
But he had this big old pieceof wood in the back of his truck
and he goes do you want it?
I go, sir, I really don't needthat.
He said give me $100.
I don't want.
He unloaded it.

(15:34):
I put it in the back, on theback of the property, left it
there for many months Until oneday I was walking around and I
saw it and I went and startedcounting and I looked and it had
a head in the middle and it waslike all these vines coming out
of it.
I go, hmm.
So I started counting thelittle arms and there was 18 of
them and I go hmm, what else has18?

(16:00):
18 holes of golf.
So in my mind I'm starting toenvision Inky holding golf clubs
.
You know, 18 clubs of golf andI go huh, it wasn't Inky at the
time, so he's an octopus.
I said that octopus is going tobe my mascot, so I'm going to
have an octopus as my mascot.
So then I need a name for theoctopus.
So I started researchingoctopuses.

(16:21):
I came across Inky the Octopusand there's actually a
children's book named Inky theOctopus as well.
But the real Inky the Octopuswas in New Zealand.
He escaped the aquarium in NewZealand because octopuses can
escape very, very small holes.
They're very, very elusive.
They can escape very, verysmall holes.
So he escaped the aquarium andthey couldn't find him.

(16:42):
The rumors were he made his wayto the Great Barrier Reef of
Belize.
That was the rumors.
So I say you know what?
We found him.
We're going to memorialize Inkyfor thinking about Belize.
So we memorialized Inky's atour mini golf and restaurant.
So that's how Inky has been.
Everything has stories here toinvite.

Speaker 1 (17:03):
There at Inky's there's a mini golf.
I say putt-putt, whatever Amini golf course right there and
I played it.
Okay, it ate my lunch.
It was super fun, Really fun.
It's set up like a jungle kindof atmosphere.
Each hole has its own carvingof an animal and boy.

(17:26):
It is challenging.
It's really pretty.

Speaker 3 (17:26):
And we talked about what a famous course it is in a
previous episode, so make sureyou check that out and learn
more about this golf course.
So you've got mini golf as apart of your package.

Speaker 4 (17:38):
So you don't have to pay additional.

Speaker 3 (17:39):
You just, when you're in the mood, just walk up, play
for the amount of time you wantto play, but it is a full 18
holes, and so that is why theyhave the 19th hole as one of
their restaurants.
Inky's 19th hole Isn't that thename of?

Speaker 1 (17:54):
it.
Well, that's a classic thing atgolf courses to have the 19th
Hole, which is the restaurant,or at some resorts it is
actually 19th Hole, it's just anextra hole that you can play.
That's sort of separate fromthe course.

Speaker 5 (18:08):
But right there, next to Inky's is the mini golf.

Speaker 1 (18:10):
It's Inky's, and then you cross over a little
footbridge and there's yourpickleball tennis.
Right now they have tennispickleball swimming pool and if
you're at Inky's and you turnleft instead of going right to
mini golf, you've got thisamazing exercise facility
downstairs, with a boardroomupstairs.

Speaker 3 (18:30):
Okay, rory, you're going too fast, you're going too
fast.

Speaker 1 (18:32):
Oh, come on, you got to follow me on this.

Speaker 3 (18:37):
Let's just stop at the pickleball tennis real quick
.
At the time of this recordingthere is tennis, but they are
going to, over time, beextending their pickleball
options and offerings.
They currently have pickleball.
It's used in tournaments etcetera.
Brian can tell us a little bitabout that?

Speaker 4 (19:01):
all right.
So this is our pickleball.
So you notice the courts areprobably different than anything
we played on.
This is called sports courttowel.
The reason I got it is it'sgood for old folks like me it
gives, so there's a little giftto it which causes your knees
not to pop like on concrete, because we do have an expat
retirement community here.
The concrete courses are hardon their knees.
So I went ahead and went withsports courts.

(19:22):
It's been very successful.
It also, as you can tell fromthe raining water, gets rid of
water very fast.
Whereas a lot of course that gowith regular court, you can't
play on it when it's wet.
This you can play on it as soonas it rains.
So it's called sports coursetowel.
Like we do a lot of memberships, we have a locker room over
here, a man and woman lockerroom.
Uh, the lockers, showers, toilets and all they're

(19:43):
connected for them to use hereso they are putting in very high
quality amenities here.

Speaker 3 (19:51):
So the pickleball.
Then you mentioned the pool,Rory, that pool, like you can,
it's a separate pool from thepool that all of the villas face
right, so it's a second poolthat you can utilize.
But what's really fun is it'soften utilized for the diving
training that we talked about inour episode with Captain Jacks.

(20:13):
So if you are not yet certified, you can do a lot of your
coursework and get certifiedthere.
And then you are ready for allof your excursions, if you want
to go scuba, and so they canoffer that to you and that pool
is used for that training.
And just to kind of recap withthe golf course Rory, while I

(20:35):
went paddle boarding you watcheda little bit of my paddle time,
but then you went and youplayed the mini golf and it was
fun, right.

Speaker 1 (20:43):
Yeah, it was a lot of fun.
Yeah, I was blessed.
Okay, so, Rory, I think I'm nowcatching up with you.
I think the last thing youmentioned was the workout room.
Come on, try and keep up.
The bottom floor of thisbuilding there to the left of
Inky's is this.
I mean, I've never been to aresort I was going to say hotel
but a resort that had anexercise room that was any

(21:04):
better, what equipped, than thisone with the things they have.
It's real, fully airconditioned, by the way.

Speaker 3 (21:11):
Yeah, fully air conditioned, which is rare to
find in.

Speaker 1 (21:13):
Belize yeah, it's got machines, it's got free weights
, even Plus mats and balls Yogaballs, they call them that, I
don't know Whatever Yoga matsand big balls and stuff like
that.
Everything that you could want,I think, especially if you're
on vacation.
Come on.

Speaker 3 (21:29):
Yeah, and it's not a giant gym, but it's got
everything you would need orwant to just get a good in, you
know.
Build your muscle strength withthese fun additional.

Speaker 1 (21:38):
Yeah, she says it's not a giant gym, but if you
think about a hotel gym, it is agiant gym.
It's not a small room, it's,it's a, you know, it's really
large size room.
And then, above that I'dmentioned, there's a boardroom
that if you have these importantmeetings, you can use the
boardroom and above that, likeif you have these important
meetings, you can use theboardroom.
And above that Like, if you'redoing a conference that you want
to do there, yeah, and it'sfully equipped.

(21:59):
You've got the screen where youcan project and do calls
whatever whether it's Zoom orwhatever calls in there and
stuff like that.
And then on the top of it all,on the roof is a martini bar and
at night the sunset over thelagoon is absolutely gorgeous.
I did a time lapse that maybewe'll post and show them.
Okay, okay, a time lapse of thesunset Ridiculously pretty,

(22:23):
yeah, it's really cool.

Speaker 3 (22:24):
What's really fun about this area is that there is
this really cool tree that hasall of these like it's all
twisted and like super coollooking.

Speaker 1 (22:33):
Well, at the center of the bar and it's at the
center of the whole room he toldus a story about that.
There's a vine that grows there.
They thought it was a tree.
I mean meaning they, theforeigners that are from there
but it was a vine so they're notforeigners there yeah, yeah,
the locals that show them therewas a vine.
There is a vine that growsaround a tree.
I mean, it encases the entiretree, and the tree is like the

(22:56):
core of this vine.
The vine is several inchesthick all around, so what they
did is they took the tree out ofthe vine, and it's actually
this vine that looks like ahollowed out tree, which is the
centerpiece of the bar.
Really cool.

Speaker 3 (23:09):
Yeah, and one night we got to have dinner out there
and they had live music from alocal band that gave kind of
some stories behind they.
They played like cover tunesthat you would recognize.

Speaker 1 (23:21):
But they added their Belizean style.

Speaker 3 (23:25):
Yeah.
So it was really neat to havethe whole cultural experience.
And so Marco, that evening hadset up like homemade tortillas
that they they were making rightthere in front of you and had
this whole beautiful spread, well, food that represents all
their different cultures thatmake up the people groups.

Speaker 1 (23:41):
So she talked about one of our other episodes.

Speaker 3 (23:42):
Right, so check those out.
So check that out.

Speaker 1 (23:44):
And each of the people groups were represented
with their foods.
That they're you know they'refamous for.

Speaker 3 (23:50):
And so you get to enjoy all of that and the music
that kind of brought it alltogether.

Speaker 1 (23:54):
Yeah, super.

Speaker 3 (23:55):
So that was a fun experience that they had there
and one of the things that theyoffer.

Speaker 1 (24:00):
Yep, oh, we have to talk about this Before we cross
the street.
There is the spa and you tooktreatment in the spa.

Speaker 3 (24:10):
Yeah, I definitely signed up for that.
What was really wonderful isthat when you go to book your
spa options or to see what theyare, you can connect with them
through WhatsApp and messagethem, and it's so much easier
and you don't have to worryabout like, is there a time
difference?
And you know, making a call andtrying to communicate and all of

(24:32):
that.
And it's easy to communicatebecause if you are in America
and speak English, then that'swhat they do, which we've talked
about before, but so it'sreally easy to book.
But I just having that WhatsAppand just being able to like
message and I was like, hey, I'mlooking for this one looked
good and this one looked good,Can you help me decide?
And they were like this one'sblah, blah, blah, blah.

(24:54):
So I was able to like, have alittle chat, conversation and
book my spa experience ahead oftime.
And it was really, it wasreally neat.
I did a coffee scrub and so Iwas like, all right, she's going
to scrub out all my cellulitebefore I go walk these beaches.
So, anyways, I did like acoffee scrub and it was just

(25:20):
really neat because she sharedwith me hey, this is our little
formula here and so you can makeit at home.
And all of that was veryhelpful.
Not with my coffee, no, notwith your coffee.
And so I did like the coffeescrub.
She scrubbed my whole body andthat was fun.
Normally when I go to a spa.
I want a massage and a facial,but I wanted I thought you know

(25:43):
what.
I'm in a new country, I'm goingto try something new and do more
like a body treatment and so Igot the coffee scrub so they
could scrub out all my cellulitebefore I go walk the beach and
all you know.
And so I got the coffee scruband then part of that, after she
scrubbed me down with thecoffee and that's really good

(26:04):
for the skin and all that.
But then she did it ended withthis wrap and I got so it was
like a cooling wrap and I got socold and she's and I was like,
is this going to warm up at somepoint?
She's like, yep, I'm gonna wrapyou all up.
And she wrapped me in bananaleaves and that was really cool
and so I warmed up and then Ijust stay like in that wrap for

(26:26):
a little bit and let all of thegoodness.

Speaker 1 (26:28):
So you were like a banana, like they could have
peeled the leaves off, and thenyou were underneath.
Yes, well, there weren't anybig monkeys nearby.

Speaker 3 (26:36):
So I got kind of like two treatments in one.
It was really nice.
And then, like while you'rewrapped up, they give you like a
little scalp massage and allthat good stuff.

Speaker 1 (26:45):
Your scalp was relaxing.

Speaker 3 (26:46):
Yes, so there were lots of like.
Just within that one treatment,I got like a lot of goodies,
and that's what I really likedabout their spa services is, I
feel like you get a lot of bangfor your buck with like these
different things.

Speaker 1 (27:00):
I mean it's kind of indicative of the way they do
everything there.
Nothing is just as much as theyhave to do to get by, because
that's what they said.

Speaker 5 (27:07):
They would do.

Speaker 1 (27:08):
It's always they go over the top.
Everything's beyond, above theline, as they would say their
service is definitely-.

Speaker 2 (27:15):
Brian would like to hear that.
Yes.

Speaker 1 (27:17):
Brian, your service is definitely above the line,
bro.

Speaker 3 (27:20):
Speaking of Brian, he described really well the
different packages We'vementioned our catamaran
excursion and in other episodeswe've talked about, like
different resorts and villasthat are options with you when
you come to placentia.
You can split up your visitstay at serenium bay a few days.
Stay on the catamaran a fewdays stay on the island a few
days yeah, so there's all ofthese things, so brian's going

(27:43):
to share a little bit more abouthow all of that works and how
that goes.
Take it away, brian.

Speaker 4 (27:49):
Absolutely Well.
You know what we do, that aswell, and I'm not sure you're
aware of this.
We have partnerships withjungle resorts.
You know Chalk Creek is one ofour partners where they sell us,
we sell them.
They have guests for theirbeach jungle retreats, where our
guests go stay there three orfour nights and come stay with
us three or four nights.
So it's packages, so we don'tpackage with other places.

(28:12):
So, yeah, anyone wants to lookat combo, which I highly
recommend, by the way?
Yes, I think if you're going tocome spend seven to ten days in
belize, I highly highlyrecommend actually checking out
other places.
You know, go to chalk creek, get that experience of a jungle
feel the jungle resort and thencome here, right, I think that
only enhances your whole beliefsexperience.

Speaker 1 (28:31):
So where they are as a resort is not the level
they're going to stay at.
They're increasing all the time.
They've got these new villasthey're building and bungalows
that are going to be on thelagoon side and a whole new spa,
and the area where they'rebuilding is gorgeous.
So it's an amazing place rightnow.
In the next couple of yearsit's going to be redonkulous.

Speaker 3 (28:52):
Yes, so we hope that we've given you a lot of ideas
and resources to be able to comeand enjoy Placentia, belize,
and we have some travel agentsin the show notes that you can
access who have enjoyed theseexperiences themselves, and some
you're going to meet on ourpodcast very soon.
Yes, so stay tuned for that andstay inspired.

(29:15):

somewhere yesterday.
so we're currently recordingthis episode in finland and
yesterday yeah, we drove fourhours for a day trip there and
back, and you can do little daytrips, so be planning your next
excursion and get Placentia, belize, into your agenda as well

(29:39):
, and enjoy these resources.
