There we go.
Oh gosh, our producer was alittle slow on that, ie.
So we are so excited to haveyou here and back by popular

you were a part of the programand I don't know at that point
it's been a while ago.

(05:18):
So shout out to Blog Talk Radioagain.
I don't know if you've everdone anything with Blog Talk
Radio other than beinginterviewed.

Speaker 3 (05:26):
I started my podcast back.
How many years I started mypodcast in 2010.
So, yeah, it was definitely onBlog Talk.
So I was sad when I heard thatit was going to go away.

Speaker 1 (05:42):
Yeah, yeah, a lot, a lot, a lot of things going on.
Hey, ms Boatwright, thank you, thank you, thank you.
All right, hello Yolanda.
So let's jump right on in this, which I think this is a really
a great conversation.
Hey girl, hey, around pivot andjust always thinking about your
business, like what is todaymight not be, what is tomorrow,
what's down the road, and so,before we jump into all of that,
how did this entrepreneur andmarketing and author journey

(06:05):
start for you?
Ooh, child, all right way back.

Speaker 3 (06:10):
Yes, I've been.
First off, I have to thank youbecause you were in the very
beginning of my journey.
You really were.
I started out entrepreneuriallywith the Beauty From Head to
Toe Tour and I was young, young, young in business and I had no
clue about what was going tohappen in this whole thing

(06:30):
called business.
And you took a chance on me andso here we are.
That's literally how I startedwith the multi-city tour.
You were one of my people whosaid I'm going to interview you,
and that was I mean since then.
That was before I even wrote myfirst book.
Now I have 30.
That was before anything.

Speaker 1 (06:49):
Wait, you have 30 books Listeners, do y'all see?
She just glided on top of that, she just glided over that.
So, yes, drop the receipts, drop the numbers.
And so here we are now.
And so what has kind of keptyour journey going?

Speaker 3 (07:05):
The Lord, for one, the Lord.
And really you know, click theCash now is a book for me and is
a trademark for me, butliterally it is my life's work
and journey, because that is howI live my life right.
So I believe that, no matterwhatever job I've ever had or no
matter what income stream Iever want to cultivate, click

(07:27):
the cash is what it is Because, just like the TikTok thing that
we just went through right, andso we had to know how to click
the cash.
We had to know, because if not,if you're just relying on a
platform, then you would havebeen stuck.

Speaker 1 (07:44):
Yeah, absolutely Absolutely.
And so you know, for those thatare, you know, saying hey, I am
, I'm trying to figure out, like, how do I get people to click
and then that click equals cash?
You know, sometimes people arereally caught up on the likes
and the numbers, and we do knowthere's statistics in that.

(08:05):
But when people are really kindof caught up on the likes and
like I just want to know, likehow many people like this or how
many people viewed it, what doyou say to that person who's
caught up really on the vanity,as we would say, metrics?

Speaker 3 (08:19):
If that like is not turning into a client or a lead
for you, if you're not doing thedue diligence to follow up one
of my great coaches to revisionabout.
She always says either you'regetting coins or contacts and so
with that, you either aregetting a coin or a contact
through the social media channel.
So if you're not following upwith the people who are liking,

(08:41):
then it's just a like.
It's not going to go anyfurther than that page.
But if you follow up with thatperson, especially the people
who are dropping love and allthe comments and all the things,
that means that they're highlyinterested in the content you're
putting out there, your work, your information.

Speaker 1 (09:00):
Great, great, great.
And so the Click to Cash book, which, again, is really your
brand now.
So when you see that, I know, when I see Click to Cash, I
think of Dr Stevie and so yeah,so, when you first started to
put the book together, what werethe things that you wanted,
like readers, to walk away with?

Speaker 3 (09:19):
The first thing when I actually and I wrote this book
in a weekend, so if y'all neverseen it, here it goes, click to
Cash.
I wrote this book in a weekend,so if y'all never seen it, here
it goes, click the cash.
I wrote the book in a weekendand for me, it was during the
midst of the pandemic, and so megoing from different points in
my life, at the point where Ihad just made six figures on the
journey of six figures in 2020,after, in 2016, being evicted

(09:43):
from my home because I could notfigure out how to make $800 in
a month to now being able tomake six figures in, I think,
about nine months.
Right, we were able.
I was like I need more peopleto take this information and to
run with it, no matter if theywant to make more money, if they
need some money, whatever theirstory is, and that's how the

(10:04):
book literally came together.

Speaker 1 (10:07):
And so thank you.
Like certainly, people don'talways share transparency.
You know, like that and yourpersonal story and journey of
how you got there and so whatare?
How is the?
Is there a framework?
Are there like a few key thingsthat you address with people?
Of course, we want them to getthe book, but a few key things
that you maybe address withpeople in Click to Cash.

Speaker 3 (10:29):
Yeah, so Click to Cash.
We always think about the sevenstreams of income, right.
We've heard that we heard weneed seven streams da da, da, da
da.
But in Click to Cash, I dobelieve that everybody has a
God-given it factor.
That it factor was my firstbook and so in this book.
It talks about how you can takethat information and create an

(10:49):
ebook or a membership or adigital class from what you
already know.
And so a lot of times, specifically career driven
people leave their minds at work.
They don't feel like they canmaximize their own business with
what they get paid for each andevery day.
So my whole mission is to takethat same information, not make

(11:09):
it hard for anybody, but make itmonetizable for everybody.

Speaker 1 (11:15):
Because your skills are transferable.
I am, oh, you know, I'm alwayssaying that and a lot of times
people feel like there's a thisor that or either, or like my
corporate or whatever you knowthey're doing for a job.
Whatever my side thing is isseparated and they don't touch
when actually you ought to bringover any skill sets that you

(11:37):
have, certainly from you know, from a day job and you know, for
those that are career driven, how do they, you know, balance
and try to even figure out thedirection they should go in.

Speaker 3 (11:48):
I think the first thing is to figure out if you
want to be a full timeentrepreneur, if you want to be
a part time entrepreneur, if youwant to be a parallel
entrepreneur.
Like myself, I work a full timejob, which is really why I
started honing in on the fact ofhaving career and having a side
business, because I was doingit myself and I realized that

(12:11):
for me, what I was doing in myjob can easily still be the same
thing I do in my business.
But you just have to navigatethat first off, because some
people want to leave their job, some people want to stay in, but
at the the same time, it's likenothing is promised, just like
going back to the social mediaplatforms.
Yeah, shut down quickly.
We didn't have.
We had some warning, but peoplewere in the midst of their live

(12:34):
streams, different things andthe lights went out.
So you know you have to havesomething to back it up, you
have to have leveraged theplatform in order to go there.
So I think the first thing isthe decision.
The second thing is reallylooking at your skill set and
your expertise and your interest, and then the third thing is to
figure out how you want tomonetize it?

(12:55):
What vehicle do you want to putyour information into?

Speaker 1 (12:58):
All right, and I'm wondering.
You know, sometimes people willhave an interest in the area,
but their skill set is inanother area.
Ooh, what did you say to thatperson?

Speaker 3 (13:11):
I think that you have to choose, like I do think it's
an individual thing, becausethat's almost like the college
student right who wanted to bean artist but their parents
wanted them to be a doctor.
After a particular age andstage.
We get to make certain choices.
Now some things are morelucrative than others.
You may have to put in somedifferent work, but

(13:32):
understanding that your end goalis to make money, you just may
have to get with somebody who'sgoing to tell you this is going
to take a little bit longer, butat the end of the day.
I do believe that people havechoices and I do believe that
anything you want to do and youcan stick your mind to doing it
and you can put in the work todo it, you can make it happen.

Speaker 1 (13:51):
All right, and so in Click to Cash which, where can
people pick up a copy of it?

Speaker 3 (13:56):
Just by knowing how to spell my first name correctly
, you can go to steviecom.
S-t-e-v-i-i and the I's in myname stand for increasing income
.
You could go over there atStevie dot com and you can get
it.

Speaker 1 (14:09):
All right, there you go.
And those that are listening tothe podcast is below in the
show notes, those are on YouTube, look down below in the show
notes, and those that are onCharvette dot com, look down
below in the blog post.
And so the um, the click tocash book happened, but then it
was like a movement, or like didit take a life of its own, you

(14:30):
know, after you put the book out.

Speaker 3 (14:31):
It did, it, did, it did.
It is definitely something Isay is my legacy work.
It is something that I believethat I, for the rest of my life,
I will always be talking aboutthis.
Thank you, wendy, and shout outto my mama too.
I know you said your mom washere, my mama was here.

Speaker 1 (14:48):
Yes, listen, the mom was here.

Speaker 3 (14:51):
So, but I do believe that it is the place where I am
going to hang my hat.
I want to be able to helppeople to make money from using
their gift, skills, talents andabilities.
I think sometimes people makebuilding a business way too hard
, and we don't have to.
It doesn't have to be as hardas people make it to be.

Speaker 1 (15:11):
Oh right, and for some of your clients, what would
you say are the things thatyour clients are making money
from now and I preface that withsaying people are feeling like
there's a difference in themarket depending on what
industry they're in what aresome of the things that your
clients are taking theirintellectual property, their
expertise, and turning in?

(15:33):
It clicking and it's turninginto cash?

Speaker 3 (15:36):
Definitely.
E-books are hot right now.
Coaching is always going to behot.
Somebody is going to alwayswant you to teach them something
, so digital classes are hot.
I think all of those threethings together.
Of course, virtual speakingengagements believe it or not,
people get paid to hear you talkvirtually.
The world may now be open, butpeople have fallen in love with

(15:58):
virtual events too, so I hireyou to be a speaker for that.
So I think what I did was to gothrough all the seven different
chapters, which are strategies, but to do that myself, and
that's why I tell people I thinkit's according to their
personality, their makeup, likesome people are not going to
want to do certain activities, but at the end of the day, they

(16:21):
can find one strategy in thebook and really rock with it.

Speaker 1 (16:24):
Oh, that's brilliant, because some people are talkers
, so the speaking or doing awebinar or you know, might be
something that they lean to, butthen other people are writers,
and so then the e-book feelsmore comfortable and feels more
aligned with what they would beable to produce, what they would

(16:44):
be able to produce.
I think that that's reallybrilliant to give people that
guidance of going in thedirection and the flow of where
you naturally kind of gravitateto.
And you know, there are peoplewho a lot of people identify as
introvert, dr Steve.
And so what do you say tointroverts who are like I want
them to click and it turn intocash, but I'm scared of coming
out front, I'm scared of talkingabout my business?

(17:06):
What do you say to introverts?

Speaker 3 (17:08):
I love introverts, believe it or not.
Most of my clients areintroverts, believe it or not,
because at the heart of who I am, this cash thing came a little
bit later, but most of mybackground was in marketing and
PR, so I was a visibility coach, and so a lot of people who are
introverted they do say thatthey don't know how to get
visible, and so we just startwith the higher purpose, like

(17:30):
what is it that you stay instagnant and stay in solid?
Whose life is in the balance ofthat?
And that helps them to reframeand it helps them to understand
that, yes, we are introverted, but most of the highest paid
speakers are introverts.
Beyonce is an introvert and shejust channels into her Sasha
Fierce and she's able to do whatshe needs to do and then go

(17:52):
back into being introverted.

Speaker 1 (17:54):
Yeah, well said, well said Well.
People are watching.
How can they follow you andconnect with you all across
social media?

Speaker 3 (18:01):
Again Stevie, if you spell Stevie correctly.
You got me.
You got me.
But definitely go to steviecombecause I have a absolutely
complimentary master class theretoo.
And in this crazy world ofsocial media shutting down,
shutting open all the things, mywebsite will always be there.

Speaker 1 (18:22):
Yes, and it is so important to have own your own
space on the web, as I alludedto, as we opened up with
starting on Blog Talk Radio in2008, and now Blog Talk Radio is
like hanging up their hatbecause, you know, things do
have a shelf life.
There are, there are situationswhere they do, things have a
shelf life, but you always wantto own your own real estate and

(18:44):
so shout out Thank you, ms Blake, for being here jumping on in,
hello, hello.
And so yay, hey, frank.
And so I love also that you mix, or you blend faith, purpose
and strategy, and so certainlyfaith-based entrepreneurs are
probably going to be more drawnto you in that space, and

(19:04):
sometimes people kind ofstruggle, like is faith, do I
involve faith?
Do I not involve faith?
How do you, you know, talk topeople about the blending?

Speaker 3 (19:13):
It was a clear distinction for me back when I
was running ads right, because Iwanted to be able to help
everybody.
You know that's what we want tohelp.
But, the more you helpeverybody, the more your ads are
going to cost.
So I was with a coach then andshe was like listen, do you want
to save some money?
We got to target.

(19:33):
We got to target the people.
And I realized that even beforeI was saying I was a coach for
Christian women, I was praying, and prayer is a large part of
what I do.
So for me it became morecomfortable to be able to say,
look, this is who I am, this iswho I rock with, and we're going
to pray because, at the end ofthe day, yes, I know strategy,

(19:54):
but whatever God is telling you,we need to partner with that,
because if not, then thestrategy is going to be out of
place.

Speaker 1 (20:01):
Listen.
You just said something rightthere.
Oh, my God, we have to come inpartnership with what he's
saying.
We're trying to come inpartnership with a lot of other
lot of lot of stuff and all ofthat, and, as a coach, I same
you know, give, give strategyand give up.
However, we have to come inalignment but, more importantly,

(20:22):
partnership with what he'ssaying for you and your business
.
That is powerful.
And then sometimes we feel like, oh, it's just going to happen.
It's just going to happen, andthere might be listeners, dr
Stevie, saying well, they're notclicking.
I mean, I don't understand.
You got people that's clickingthe cash.
I don't have people that'sclicking the cash.
Is that a mindset?
Is that a strategy thing?
Is that a faith thing?

(20:42):
Is it all of them?

Speaker 3 (20:44):
Definitely all of them, I think, because here's
the thing right, I used to givemy clients and I learned this
way back in network marketing, right I?
Used to give my clients thefact of 100 no's assignment.
Go ahead and get you 100 no'sfrom different people and the
quicker you get those 100 no'sis the quicker you get through

(21:05):
the assignment, and I thinkpeople just don't ask enough
people to buy from them, becausewe don't like rejection so
therefore, we're gonna keepasking people until it hurts,
right, but the moment it hurtsis the moment you're gonna stop
asking.
So if we're not quantifying thenumbers, then we don't know how
many people we've asked.
We're saying that these peoplenumbers.
Then we don't know how manypeople we've asked.
We're saying that these peoplesaid no, and it could be three,

(21:28):
four people.
It just depends on where youare with your confidence.
I do believe that confidence isdirectly tied to your cash.
So therefore, if you're nothaving confidence but you're
saying somebody's not clickingto your cash, then we got to
look at the numbers.
And it's funny because I'm likey'all listen, this is the Holy

(21:49):
Ghost when I start talking aboutnumbers, because I didn't do
well in math, nor I went to A&Tand I kind of failed math about
three, four times.
I was getting all the help andthe prayer from the minister.
I had extra credit up in themath department.
So when I started looking atnumbers, it's like whoo.

Speaker 1 (22:09):
Whoo, listen, ms Big, that jumped at me.
That jumped, let it hit you.
Let it hit you right there.
And so then the questionbecomes because I got to go back
to that rejection point.
You dropping some nuggets, drStevie, you just tuning in,
you're checking out the SharpEdmental Radio Show.
We got Dr Stevie Mills herewith us.
All of the platforms you'relistening watching.

(22:30):
Look down below in the shownotes.
We got to go back to the core.
So if that core of I don't wantto be rejected will hinder your
marketing, will handle, hinderyour visibility, which will then
hinder the click to cash.
So, and I don't think we talkenough about the rejection

(22:51):
factor in entrepreneurship, Idon't think we talk enough.
So it's one thing if you're theCEO of McDonald's or
Chick-fil-A, you don't know ifsomebody rolled down.
I mean, you can, overall, lookat your numbers, if the numbers
are going up and down, but youdon't know necessarily that that
car drove past the McDonald'sand decided to go to Chick-fil-A
.
But however, however, those ofus are small business owners, we

(23:16):
are closer to our prospects andwe might see oh, she went with
Dr Stevie, she went with MsWatermelon and didn't go with my
program, and that's like ooh, that's like a sting.
We're close and I don't thinkwe talk enough about that, so
I'm glad you brought that up.
Anything you want to say aroundthat.

Speaker 3 (23:34):
Yes, because here's the thing right.
So let's take you for example, because I love you, charvette, I
love you, I've been loving youfor many, many years and it
takes bravery and beingcourageous to put your brand on
something you have a personalbrand right.

(23:54):
And so somebody is most somepeople who are not involved in
this area.
When they, when we say, have apersonal brand, right, then they
are being rejected themselves.
It's not the brand.
So, your brand.
So therefore, if somebody isrejecting it, they are rejecting
that person If that person isnot healed by the Lord then we

(24:17):
have another problem, becausethen you're going to be shut
down.
So when somebody says I want tolisten to the breakfast club
versus the conversation withStevie or whatever, then it's
going to be something that'srejecting Stevie if we're not
evolving that area.

Speaker 1 (24:33):
Woo, my goodness.
So this is all layered.
This is all layered.
This is all layered.
So this is all layered.
This is all layered.
This is all layered.
One more time.
I'm saying our time is likeflying by.
You had an offer there.
So when they go to steviecomand those that are listening
from the podcast steviecom, whatwill you find there and what do

(24:54):
you have available for them?

Speaker 3 (24:55):
Yeah.
So when you go there, wedefinitely want you to share
your information with me so thatyou can access a complimentary
masterclass.
I have a masterclass waiting onyou for visibility, credibility
, cash Again this math y'all.
I believe that visibility pluscredibility equals cash.
And so here's the thing, right.
The difference a lot of timesbetween Sarah Lee and Sarah at

(25:20):
your church is that she does nothave enough visibility.
Many Christian women we havethe credibility but nobody knows
about us.
Sarah, at your church might havethe best pancake in the world
better than Sarah Lee but nobodyknows about her.
So we have to think about thatin ourselves.
So that masterclass is going toteach you how to quickly
increase your visibility andyour credibility so that you can

(25:43):
increase your cash.

Speaker 1 (25:45):
All right, again Stevie dot com.
And then how can they check youout online and shout out to
Instagram that is piped in withus?
Listen, we're in two places onFacebook, linkedin.
Hey, how y'all doing YouTube, stitch, instagram and a couple
other places too, thank you, drStevie has brought in her
audience as well, and so, forall of the listeners and the

(26:07):
viewers, how can they connectwith you?

Speaker 3 (26:09):
Definitely, definitely, definitely.
Again, it goes down to her name.
It's funny, but people spell myname all kinds of ways.
They have one eye, two eyes, one, two eyes, one eye, and even
my family members y'all.
So don't feel that.
But the biggest thing is, ifyou go to me, I've been hanging
out a lot on tick tock I havethis is my love but also on um,

(26:32):
facebook, youtube, instagram,all the places.
But seriously, if you go tosteviecom, you'll never have the
opportunity for us to mix, sosteviecom is the easiest way so
that we don't get mixed up.

Speaker 1 (26:47):
Listen, I get it and listen a mom is like visibility
plus credibility equals cash.
And so, ms Blake, yes, I don'tknow whether I have too much
product or not reaching my idealpeople, and I've been doing
this so long not to beprofitable.
And so I feel like you areprobably not alone and you are

(27:09):
asking the right questions, because it is going to be number
one tie definitely to yourideal client.
But if you have a lot ofproducts, do they know what is
for them?
So might be a good time.
Ms Blagan, I don't know ifyou're working with Dr Stevie or
to work with someone like acoach, like myself and Dr Stevie
.
That'll help you drill down andget into that.

(27:30):
Any comments you have for thisstatement?

Speaker 3 (27:33):
Yes, nice to meet you , ms Carolyn.
Yes, so the first thing thatpopped in my mind was do we
really know who our ideal clientis?
And a lot of times.
You know you could deep diveinto marketing.
You know the social graphicsand the psychographic At the end
of it.
I am somebody who keeps itsimple, so that's how I know

(28:01):
career driven Christian women.
Now I believe that God is goingto call into those people.
So you may be overthinkingthat's what my spirit is saying,
ms Carolyn.
I've never met you, but you maybe overthinking the process.
And in order to get in front ofthe people, then we have to call
those people in specifically, whoever they are, and then just
start with one thing.
I always tell people todescribe your house right.

(28:23):
When you're talking aboutdescribe your house, you don't
necessarily invite people intoall the rooms of your house, but
us multi-passionate people, wewant to tell you this and this
and this and this.
But at the end of the day, whenyou describe your house and you
welcome people on into yourhouse, you're telling them one
thing People need simplicity.
That's why, again, likeCharvette was saying, mcdonald's

(28:43):
If you go to McDonald's theyhave various numbers One, two,
three, four, five.
It's not all the things.
They simplify it for you and alot of times we want to give
them the razzle, dazzle and allthe things.
But at the end of the day, let's keep it simple.
Get your ideal person and justpackage that to them.

Speaker 1 (29:01):
Absolutely, and the customer needs simplicity and we
as business owners need it aswell.
Well, thank you for being braveto even state that, and so that
was good right there.
Wow, well, our time just flewon by.
So my last question the goal ofthe show is to motivate, excite
and influence, and we want toknow what continues to motivate

(29:22):
Dr Stevie Mills.

Speaker 3 (29:26):
I know that, at the end of the day, I want to leave
a legacy.
My father passed away in 2022and I had to take my time to
grieve.
That was a very, very, veryhard thing for me to go through,
but at the end of the day, Iknow that my father left a
tremendous legacy and I want todo the same.
So at this point we're intolegacy work and not so much into

(29:48):
just clothes and sales.
I want to be able to assistpeople.

Speaker 1 (29:51):
And I'm sure he is proud.
I'm sure he is proud.
Well, thank you so much forstopping by here.
