(00:00):
Hello, and welcome to the thirdand the Don Football Show. I am
Joe Whitney cecil as always here torecap the wildcard round and preview the division
round of the NFL Playoffs. Therewas a lot of blowouts this week,
but we always love playoff football.Cecil, how you doing, I'm good
man. I am a little disappointedof it on the wildcard round. It
was just a lot of blowouts oneI really those were just pain The NI
(00:25):
game in particular, was probably oneof the worst football games I've seen.
It wasn't really even fun to watch. So but divisional round usually is a
lot better. You know, it'sthe same thing with everybody. Everybody always
wants more seeds, but that doesn'talways mean that it's going to be a
better tournament because most of the timethat stuff doesn't get an upset. Well
(00:46):
S, you're the Green Bay Packers. Of course you have the Green Bay
Packers. We'll get to that gamein a little bit of seas. Let's
start with the first game of theweekend. We had the Texans blowing out
the rounds forty five to fourteen. This was you know, Joe Flacco not
playing well after three hundred yards butit was mostly garbage time. We had
the Texans really lighting up the scoreboardin this one. C J. Stroud,
(01:06):
we're both Stroud boys. All yearlong paid off for us in this
one got the big win. Alot has to be said about CJ.
Stroud's performance, a lot has tobe said about to make O'Ryan's doing what
he did in the first year ofhis coaching tenure with the Houston Texans.
Oh. Absolutely, it was aphenomenal game if you're a strouboy or a
Texans fan in general. I'm alsovery happy about this game. Now why
(01:27):
it was a blowout, It alsokind of made us look right because we
kind of set a lot of thingsthat could happen. We're a good prediction
of what would happen, like JoeFlacco throwing interceptions that could cost them dearly
in the game. That happened twice. You know, we thought CJ.
Stroud would play very well, whichhe did, so a lot of things
(01:49):
we kind of thought could happen. The reasons why we picked the Texans out
right did happen, and they happenedin spades to a point that even you
and I probably didn't predict that muchof a blowout of the Cleveland brown defense,
so they looked dangerous. They wereby dark horse. I put money
down on the detectionans to make thisrule, and I went it. But
make it so and those odds havecompletely skyrocked it everywhere else. So I'm
(02:12):
feeling pretty good about the pick, and I'm feeling pretty good about this game
afterwards. I am as well.Browns have a off season of future decisions
to make, interesting decisions to makein terms of Deshaun Watson, Joe Flecco's
Joe Flacco want to come back. They've already made coaching staff changes on offense.
It seems a little bit premature tome. Sees they did what they
(02:34):
could with this offense. It's justyou had you started running back get hurt.
You know, you have Deshaun Watsonwho didn't play well, and then
you had a bunch of other quarterbacksto get hurt. You go to Joe
Flacco. I don't think offense wasnecessarily the issue because of x's and o's
or anything. I think it's justyou get down to the level of,
yeah, Jerome Ford played okay. You know, Joe Flacco played okay in
Spurts, but they're not the guysyou originally thought were going to be the
(02:55):
guys, and then you also hadinjuries on the offensive line. So we'll
see if they fix things in thisoffseason. And for the Texans, excited
to see what they can do anotherpossible upset chance this week against the Baltimore
Ravens. Next game up, wehave the Chiefs beating the Dolphins twenty six
to seven. Now, Chiefs havekind of found their footing a little bit
here at the end of the season. It's not like they're the old Chiefs
(03:17):
where they're lighting up the scoreboard. But I applaud Andy Reid finally committed to
the run game. Isaiah pa Chacohelped, you know, was a big
beneficiary of that twenty four carries, eighty nine yards, one touchdown. You
know, we have this big youknow, Chiefs offense and Patrick Mahomes only
as two hundred and sixty two yardspassing. It's not something we're used to
seeing where Shee Rice was maybe histop target with one hundred and thirty of
(03:38):
those yards. And for the Dolphins, they need to take a long look
in the mirror after this playoff loss. Yes it was cold, and yes
they're from Miami. But two,it didn't play well. Mike McDaniel kept
on calling a game that I don'tthink was very good at all, where
there was a lot of screens andstuff that were behind the line of scrimmage
and just let the Chiefs swarm, swarm the ball carriers. And you know,
(03:58):
the whole season they had been builtthis team over attacking the middle,
you know, throwing it fifteen yarddig routes to to just Tyreek Kill or
Jalen Battle, and then the deepparts of the field and the short parts
of the field. Their whole offenseis built on stretching you vertically and horizontally.
It seemed like they only wanted todo it horizontally in this game.
So for me, Cees, Dolphinshad a fantastic regular season, faulted down
the stretch. But they're a teamthat really needs to get more of an
(04:21):
identity going forward, or stick totheir identity if that's what they had.
Yeah, I mean, their offensereally did fall apart kind of towards the
end of the season. Then twowas making some bat He's forcing the ball
into weird spots they shouldn't. Whenhe does throw the ball downfield. Like
you said, it's a lot ofjust short route screens that aren't really doing
(04:43):
and you know, it's like hehad that one moment, I was still
a little underthrown. You know, whether obviously played a huge factor in that
kind of thing. But the Dolphinsoffense, like, I mean, pound
the rock with Mosster and Eh,like, that's you have two good running
backs. This is a game whereyou need to run the ball. That's
when they were good is when theywere really using that rum game. And
(05:04):
then that's set up a lot ofthat pass stuff as well. So I
think they got away from that, and I think that was a huge issue,
and you know, they were downin these games and it really put
two on a bad spot where theybecame one dimensional and he struggled. I
mean, there's no way to goaround that. He did struggle. Now.
I think he should be the quarterbackfor the Dolphins for the future,
(05:24):
for a long term, but thereality is they just didn't do a compliment
of their offense very well this season. The defense too. I Mean,
it's just sad because every pass rusherthey have basically went down with injury.
So Pat Mahomes basically got infinite timecould run out of the pocket, could
really do anything because pass rush wasn'tgetting home and blitzing to try to get
(05:46):
any kind of pass rush, andyou know, that's just you know,
it's just triage at that point.Once you have to start sending pressure when
you're a team that usually doesn't wantto or doesn't have to, it's gonna
cost some struggles for your team becauseit's guys having to be one on one.
And yeah, the receivers for thecan't say Chiefs are great, but
Travis count amount of yards and youknow, obviously she Rice got some deep
(06:09):
ones as well. So it's justsomething that captain down with injury and just
kind of getting away from their identity. I think dolphensive line a little bit,
and I think just from there it'sreally just scheme because they don't need
anything of receiver tight end road weapons. Uh Rahie monstered. Hopefully it will
(06:31):
be back and hopefully doesn't start toclimb. He shows no sides so far,
but really it's just it's gonna bethat secondary at times because they let
up a lot of big passes anda lot of things that happen kind of
later in the season. This year, So hopefully guys get back healthy.
Nick Chubb probably won't be ready forthe season, so I mean, we'll
see. But there's a lot ofgood things that Dolphins did this season that
(06:54):
need to carry over the next season, and they really need to clean up
whatever went wrong at the end ofthe season, because you don't want to
get labeled with the lack of toughnessof physicality, because they were physical and
they were tough early in the season. They just lost it as the stretch
rep happened. Yeah, I mean, it's okay for us to understand that
injuries played apart, but at theend, the history books aren't gonna remember
the injuries. They're just going tosee who won Super Bowl championships. And
(07:15):
they need to get figured out.So hopefully they can stay healthy next year.
Maybe they can make some changes.I know they've been very big on
speed, and you know, maybethey need to get a bruising running back
to go with these speed guys. They have enough speed guys. They don't
need any more speed guys at thisrate, So that could help change the
identity a little bit or help youin these cold weather games. We always
talk about how the running game isable to do that, and maybe you
know, don't go get chance Claypoolbecause every time he goes to a new
(07:36):
team, the team ends up losinggames. So just the food for thought
there. All Right, Sunday wewere supposed to have three games, but
the Buffalo Steelers game got moved toMonday, so we started off at around
four thirty Eastern with the Packers andCowboys, and wow, this was a
slaughtering. Packers really got off toa great start. Forty eight to thirty
(07:58):
two is the final score, andthat's a lot of the cowboy Boys garbage
time and Dak had some garbage timestats to make up for a bad first
half. This was a great gameby the Packers' coaching staff. I think
first and foremost and Floor had himready to go. Joe Barry on defense
actually had a good game coaching, which is surprising, and Jordan Love really
stepped up to the plate. RomeoDobbs, Aaron Jones, all those guys
(08:20):
had good games. And for theCowboys it was complete organizational failure. Mike
McCarthy looked like he didn't have thisteam ready to play. There was offensive
concepts where guys are running routes tothe same areas and the defense. Dan
Quinn, who shouldn't be the betterdefensive coordinator in this game and has the
more talent, a lot of timeshe didn't have enough guys in the box
(08:41):
to stop the run, and thenat times where there was way too many
dbs on the field in situations whereyou needed to have guys who could stop
the run, especially for the Cowboyswho were one of the smallest teams in
the NFL. So still no wordon Mike McCarthy being fired for the Cowboys.
But that was a collapse in aplayoff game. They had a great
regular season, that's great, butwow, I did not see that one
coming season. Yeah, I meanit was an absolute collapse. Like you
(09:05):
said, I mean it was aship show for the Cowboys. There's really
a way to put it now.Right for him, you know, Ceedee
Lamb and Dak didn't seem to havea connection in the first half that was
working, and you know, Dakthrew some Dak was forcing some stuff.
(09:26):
I mean, the pack I don'twant to take away from what the Packers
did. The Packers did play avery good game. I think that little
floor as much as I don't likehim, at times. You know,
they put together a really good gameplan on offense, and I think in
the defense, Joe Berry, theythey put together something that worked really well
against the Cowboys in this game.I don't know, you know, obviously
(09:48):
with Joe Berry, the best defensivecoordinator in the world, but for some
reason, he matched up really wellwith the Cowboys. Here, again,
it's hard to separate one from theother. How much is the Cowboys just
being completely unprepared, how much ofit is the Packers, you know,
being ready. There's something to besaid that, you know, the Packers
came this game, no way expectedthem to win. There was you know,
(10:09):
no pressure on they were spread wasover a touchdown in the playoff game.
So I mean they're they're playing freeto play and easy. I think
that's a huge thing. And theCowboys really did have everything to lose.
And the reality is they probably weren'teven looking at this game. They're probably
looking in the future divisional route ofwho they think they were gonna play.
So, you know, playoffs, you got to take it one game at
(10:31):
a time. You can't look forwardto who you might play next. You
gotta focus because there's no do over. So there's no second chances. It's
one each week, you're out theadvance or you're going home. They didn't
seem to get that concept. Thisweek the Cowboys are going home. And
it leaves a lot of question marksof this Cowboys organization because what I mean
(10:52):
they they were the two seed.I mean, they got eleven wins this
season. They look dominant a time, they looked like a team that could
win it, and they get tothe playoffs and they just completely fold.
So I don't think it's a talentthing on the on the offense or defense.
They have plenty of talent. That'sthat's very very aware. We saw
that regular season. It's very obvious. It's it's coaching. And it's the
(11:16):
same thing we talked about as asMike McCarthy got hired. We said,
we said, you know, hejust doesn't he doesn't really too much scheme
wise, he's not motivator, he'snot a culture guy. I think he's
(11:37):
a yes man that Jerry went andthat's what Jerry got. And then you
know that yes man just let themfold over and you know, came into
that game like a bunch of wetnoodles. That's kind of basically what you
saw the Dallas Cowboys. So that'shorrible, that's bad. I mean,
if you're the Cowboys, Jerry Jones, if Mike McCarthy is the coach,
(12:00):
by you know the end of thisweek, I'm appolled. I won You
know, they'll probably do this exactsame thing next regular season, and then
they'll collapse just like they always dobecause Mike McCarthy can't get the team,
get the tempo up, get themready to play. And you know,
I think it's best, honestly, that Dan Quinn leaves for a head coaching
(12:22):
job. He'll probably get one.I think it's just good to get a
reset because it's it's hard to saythat anybody on the staffs for what happened
because it's not a player. It'snot just you know, somebody had a
bad game. It was literally thewhole team played like shit for four quarters.
So hats off the Packers for takingadvantage honestly playing a good game.
I'm interested to see how they goagainst the forty nine ers, but I
(12:45):
mean, they can't prepare. TheCowboys didn't, and the Cowboys got well
because of it. Yeah, thisis an organizational failure, Like I said
earlier, Jerry down. Jerry hasto change how he does things. You're
not get just yes menic head coach, not get guys that Oh he may
have been good fifteen years ago ashead coach, but now he's just not.
So I'm hoping. I've told thisto Cecil and many before. I
(13:07):
would take anyone else Jason Garrett back. I don't care Doke under the bridge,
I don't care think anyone else's headcoach. This needs to change.
This was a terrible, terrible endof a season where it just not prepared.
All credits that the Packers were movingon. I'll see if they can
get this. Jordan love Era startedoff with even bigger fireworks than what we
thought. Next game up we hadSunday night, we had the Lions beating
(13:28):
the Rams twenty four to twenty three, their first playoff win in thirty two
years. So we've experienced something likethis as Bengals fans. It was one
of the greatest nights of my lifegetting to celebrate in the streets of Cincinnati
after they did it. That theLions had a very similar feeling. I'm
sure after this game they win ittwenty four to twenty three. They got.
The offense started early in this gameand they really settled down. There
(13:50):
was only nine total points scored inthe second half. It was six by
the Rams, three by the Lions. No touchdowns. Defense held on strong.
That was a big question mark forthis Lion's team was this defense,
and they did a good job.I mean, Puka Nakua had one hundred
and eighty one yards and a touchdown, further cementing his status as a star
in this league. Matthew Stafford gothit pretty hard and arguably could have been
knocked out of the game if youknow it looked at how his eyes were
(14:11):
not responsive when he got hit.But he came back and he's a tough
guy and played through injury before andkept him in the game and almost got
the win. But I have tosay, I'm really happy for the Lions
fans, really happy for the Lionsorganization and guys like Jared Goff who were
there when things were not so goodat three and thirteen. Yeah, this
was by far the best playoff gameof the weekend. I mean, the
storylines going leading up to it weregreat, and you know, the game
(14:37):
toted it. The Lions came outphysical, and got the ball. Their
playmakers, I mean, the guysthe stars that we thought about, you
know, David Montgomery, Jimir Gibbsin the running back room. They both
had pretty good games, both hadtouchdowns. Jared Goff played very well,
you know, big turnovers or thingsthat they were really you know that you
worry about with Jared Goff. Andthen I'm on Rossing Brown over one hundred,
(15:00):
you know, a lot of catches. I mean, he was a
force out there. So, Imean, the Lions offense did their job,
and then the defense completely shut downKyron Williams for the most part,
Karon Williams was barely getting anything, especially in the first half. The Lions
defensive front is on the top ofthe league. It's a huge turnaround from
one year ago where they were bottomfive. Now they're top five. So
(15:22):
and that's how the Rams really kindof start their offense. So Kyral Williams
wasn't able to get going like hehas over the last half of the season
for him. And then you know, Pukin Nakuad had a great game,
Don't pretend he didn't. It wasgreat. But Cooper Cup didn't really get
involved, which is kind of concerning. For this guy who's been you know,
you're pretty much your only weapon isbarely getting used at times. Now
(15:46):
you know, maybe it's double coverage, but this is the Lions secondary that
we've had lots of questions about. So you know, the Rams have a
good offense. They have Sean McVay, he's i mean great at adjusting as
well. Him and Mamie Moore justyou know, straight up, you know,
completely change the defense and held theLions. We I'll touchdown the second
(16:07):
half, you know, they madeof adjustments to start getting more yards,
getting more points on them, youknow, trying to at least to make
things worth They got Canon Williams goinga little bit more in the second half.
Sean McVay has a great coaching staff. The Rams are very well coached
team. Pretty much the oppositly Cowboyshave all the talent in the world,
but a horrible coaching staff. TheRams they have some talent that Cooper Cup,
(16:32):
they Pokinakoa, they Matt Stafford atKyra Williams, and they have Aaron
Donald on the other side. Outsideof that, though, there's nobody on
this team of note. It's reallya cast of nobody's and that's because of
the risks they took. Let's needtrade all those picks away. We talked
about this is what the outcome wouldbe. The idea that the Rams were
(16:52):
able to do this this season afteryou know what we projected at the beginning
of the season. Seeing the rosteris amazing. They built off has a
line out of a box of scraps. Basically, that's what they did,
and I mean, that's great. It just shows you how great we coach
Sean McVay is Sean McVay was headcoach of the Cowboys. They would win
multiple Super Bowls. It's a simpleA guy can make gold out of lead.
(17:18):
Like he's that good. He cando it. I like the Rams.
The Rams have a more traditional offseasonwith a couple more draft picks this
year, started beeping up that defensiveI think they can be its team,
team that sticks around. You know, who knows, maybe compete with the
forty nine ers in the West nextyear. I'm with you, seas.
I'm very happy with the job thatSean McVay did this year. It was
(17:41):
a patchwork rostery, right, there'sa couple of stars and everything, but
he's heading into the year even takingPuka and Ku out of there, like
this was a team that was verydependent on this past draft. They actually
had draft picks, you know,Kobe Turner on the defensive line and they
get Pooka Nakua and these guys steppedup and played well. And Steve Avila
on the offensive line too, Sothis was like maybe doing the most with
(18:03):
the least him and liked toamake ORyans for the Texans, maybe doing the
most with the least this year.Kevin Stefanski with the Browns too could be
up there, and that deserves tobe noted because they have now. Last
year they built up in the draftwith picks to get this roster back to
a point of contention. This yearthey can do it again. They just
have to find a way to doit before Stafford and Donald's pub super Bowl
window or their career ends. Iguess in this Rams organization and looks like
(18:26):
if you're right, they could beone of the best teams in the league
if they draft well, maybe havesome key free agent signing. So we
definitely keep tabs on them. Excitedfor the Lions to move on in the
Matt Stafford and Jared goff revenge games, So the Steelers and Bill's cees were
rescheduled because of a snowstorm in Buffalo. It was on Monday, Martin Luther
King Day. This was controversial thatit got moved. It was more about
(18:49):
the safety of people getting to thestadium because a lot of people get stranded
when these big bizards happened, andthere was just not enough emergency response teams
to help eighty thousand fans going toan NFL game. Do I think they
would have canceled it if they're playingthe Dolphins. I jokingly tweeted that out.
Probably still would have done it,but you know, yes, they
would have played the advantage of havingthe cold weather in this game. They
had the Bills starting off the offensehot, they went up twenty one to
(19:12):
nothing and then just kind of died. It's kind of been like the same
thing with their whole season, likethey could have just closed the door on
the Steelers. Instead, they letthe Steelers get back into it. You
know, had a chance there tomake it a close game at the end,
but Mason Rudolf and company did nothave enough firepower to get the job
done. That's been something that's beenone of their problems all season. So
at the end of the day,the Bills get the win, they move
(19:33):
on. They went by fourteen, which I guess is kind of an expected
outcome now that the weather wasn't asbig of a factor. But they do
have some things to clean up movingforward. Yeah, for sure. I
mean the Bills were kind of inthe driver's seat the whole game. They
played well in the first half,Like you said, they kind of fell
off. We'd like to see themfinish some games again. They you're one
(19:53):
of the best teams. Josh Allenwhen he's on can pretty much do anything.
They could go to a super Bowl. Plays well over the next two
games. That's a reality, butit is concerning the defense isn't closing out
games. You know, had someinjuries again in this game. So I
mean, I'll give you know andwe'll talk about the Steelers here too.
(20:15):
I really specifically we were talking aboutMike tom someone. I mean that the
Steers came out at halftime and thenkind of tried to keep themselves in.
This game is a Mike Tomlin featureand the reason why Mike Tomlin is one
of the best coaches in the NFL. I mean, he had them fighting
the entire sixty minutes against a muchbetter team, and they took advantage of
(20:36):
any mistakes and he sputtered drives theBills would have. I mean, the
Steelers played I mean okay down stretch, to be honest, especially considering the
weather and considering everything. They didn'tget the run game, knowing as much
as they probably needed to in thisone, and that struggled, and you
know that made you know, obviouslyMason Rudolph have to do some things he
(20:56):
didn't necessarily want to. You know, he had had the bone in his
hands more than they would have liked. TJ. Watt wasn't in this game
either, Their best pass rusher wasnot part of the game, and they
still played the Bills decently. Well. Again, it's really if we're gonna
talk about this game, you can'tnot talk about the press conference afterwards.
Mike Tomlin just straight up walked outwhen they asked him about his future.
(21:18):
There's been reports about Mike Tomlin going, I don't know what I'm gonna do
going forward. You know, it'sthe off season for a little bit,
you know, spend some time withmy family, and then I'll make a
decision about my future. If MikeTomlin leaves the Steelers, that's gonna be
one of the biggest Blue Steeers possible. I've heard some media upon it and
(21:40):
say, maybe, you know,Mike Tomlin's a great coach, but maybe
he's not the right coach for theSteelers because they need an offensive coach.
I don't. I don't think that'strue. I think you can find an
offensive coordinator. They seem to beout there. These guys keep getting higher
and they keep it coming ahead.Find an offensive staff guy. You got
to find somebody out there that knowshow to coach. He doesn't have coach.
(22:07):
I mean everybody in this coaching cycle, even Harbaugh, all those guys.
Mike Tomlin's a better coach than anyof them. And the Steers decided
to be better to get another coachthan begging. And it doesn't seem like
it's gonna be a Steeers decision.It's Mike Tomlin's decision ultimately. I think
the way the Steers organization, andmore importantly is Steeers fans and poor players
have acted this year. I thinkMike Tomlin have so many doubts, and
(22:32):
that's that's ridiculous. It really is. I mean, the reality is you
might forge your Hall of Fame coachout of the door because you just decided
you don't let this product on thefield go find I mean go look at
the GM. I mean go likefind somebody out there's gonna be some offensive
mine who's not a complete idiot thatcan go out there. Maybe they should
(22:52):
have drafted Kenny Pickett, that's notMike Tomlin's decision. Maybe they should have
waited another draft, moved up,gotten a real quarterback. I mean,
there's all these things, but Iknow Mike tom Win gets that team ready,
which is when you're head coach,it's not about the personnel you draft.
It's about your giving a roster andyou coach that team to play as
hard as you can to get asmany wins as you can with the talent
(23:12):
on the team. And he doesthat every year. It's not the most
talented Steelers team, it's just not. It's not the most talented defense by
any means. But they come toplay, and they played well down the
stretch, especially after they got offto some weird games earlier. They made
the playoffs this year, which isastounding. That's good for them. They
(23:34):
play well, and if Mike TomWilllee's is the biggest mistake ever, the
Bills have a much bigger test againstthe Kansas Chiefs. We'll get to again.
The inconsistent could haunt them. We'llget to it. But I think
the Steelers organization may have finally barkeda little too loudly, and it might
cause themselves to because I'm gonna tellyou right now, if another coach comes
in there, even if it's anoffensive guy, this team at havn't a
(23:56):
winning season. It's just not. That's the reality. Unless I mean,
even if they get a rookie quarterbacksomehow, which there's no way to do
that right now because their draft pickand all that. There's just no way
the Steelers organization's gonna be that aggressive. They're not gonna have a winning season
because Mike tomwin gets them at leastI'd say anywhere between two and three games
wins a year they should have,I would agree. He apparently told the
(24:19):
team behind closed doors, this isjust a rumor that he's back for next
year, but that's the last yearon his contract. He has been,
you know, weighing his coaching future, so that's at least out there.
I'm with you. I think it'scrazy for Steelers fans who want them gone,
who have one of them gone getsmore, gets more wins out of
this roster than just about anyone else. We just talked about Sean McVay to
steal in a similar mold. TheSteelers are in this weird situation where they
(24:41):
get more wins than they should everyyear and then they don't get the chance
to go get that quarterback that theycan take them to the next level.
That's something to watch out. You'reright, like, I don't know what
the Steelers can do to be aggressive, but they can go get a free,
aging quarterback this offseason. There's gonnabe a couple of names out there
they can go trade for. There'smaybe they can just package three first round
picks in a road move up andget one of the top three quarterbacks in
(25:02):
this draft. I don't know. It's gonna be tough to do. But
if you have a coach who saysthis next year might be my last year,
and he's a very good coach, and you have a defense that can
put things together, especially when CamHayward. Cam Hayward is healthy and some
young guys, Yeah, you mightwant to do that. You might want
to trade three first round picks toget the quarterback and then fix the offensive
line through free agency and let everythingelse while where it mays, because that's
how you become a scary team.Otherwise, this middling Steelers stuff like,
(25:25):
yeah, they can make the playoffs, Mike Tomlin can take average teams to
make the playoffs. But at theend of the day, what does that
get you in the end? Nothing? So they got to figure that out
and it might be something where theydo some uncharacteristic things for Steelers franchises,
just based on the contract situation andthe quarterback situation going on in Pittsburgh.
Last game of the weekend cees,we had the Buccaneers killing the Eagles thirty
(25:45):
two to nine. This one wasnot really that close. There was a
big play by Devonte Smith that reallyhelped the Eagles score a touchdown, but
otherwise not even close. Baker Mayfieldwas on fire three hundred and thirty seven
yards touchdowns and that's including a lotof drops. I think they had like
the most drops in the playoffs overthe last like five or seven years or
(26:06):
something like that. Mike Evans hada couple two, which is uncharacteristic.
I'm so happy for the Buccaneers.Yes, NFC South winning that is not
the hardest thing to do. Butyou come. You know this year you
signed Baker Mayfield for four million. We talked about it one hundred times on
this podcast. Four million dollars. You prove that the quarterback market is a
(26:26):
sham and you should just pay guyswith their worth if you can afford to
do that, unless they're Patrick Mahomes, Joe Burrow, Lamar Jackson, Josh
Allen, that type of thing. And Baker gets like the final f you
to the Browns and saying like, hey, I want a playoff game with
the Buccaneers, the NFC South team. We were nine and eight during the
season, but I got the playoffwin. I could have been that guy
for you. The Browns lose throughthe Texans. It was a fitting end,
(26:48):
a storybook ending. It opened upwith the Browns getting demolished. It
ended with the Buccaneers getting to winand Baker playing his tailoff. Oh absolutely,
Like you said, all the drops, the defense played decently well and
that was huge as well. Theonly thing they really didn't bottle up was
devote Smith for the Eagles offense. You know, if you're the Eagles,
(27:12):
I mean, you just played horriblyfor four quarters. I mean it was
really not close. And I meani've that defense is just awful right now.
I mean you had basically Matt Patriciabecome the coordinator, have like five
games left in the season. That'snot a good sign for a team,
Like when you just basically go,we're just making us well. I know
(27:33):
we're winning games and we're about togo to the playoffs, but we just
want to change the scheme basically andget a new coach. Yeah, they
didn't tackle anybody in this game.I mean, I've never seen so many
mistackles. And I'm a Bengals fan. Mistackles all over the place. It's
frustrating, it's stupid. I mean, it's just it's coaching at a certain
(27:53):
point. I don't know what's gonnahappen with Nick Sirianni the field. I
mean, I'm usually not a fanof firing a coach so early, especially
you know, they went to thesuper Bowl last year, they're in the
playoffs this year. But this kindof collapse, I've seen people get fired
(28:15):
for less. At Philip I don't. I don't think it's the worst thing
that he gets fired. I'm notgoing to say it's a good or bad
move. I don't really know becauseone Mick Sirianni only has like two seasons,
so it's hard to really say,you know, what's the quality and
you although it's coordinators left and theguys that replaced him did not do it
(28:36):
anywhere near as good job. He'sreally missing Rich uh not Rich really missing
like it their offensive defensive coordinators. So again, a coaching staff is important.
Everyone likes to talk about just thehead coach, but the head coach
has also got to create a staffthat can win and can play well.
(29:00):
It's hard to come back from losingtwo guys like that. That's a lot
of people to lose, and that'stwo huge play calling decision makers because both
those guys will play cars too.Sirianni didn't do that. So I mean
Jalen Hurts in this game struggled mightily. He doesn't look one hundred percent.
I don't think he is. Ithink there's gonna be an injury, you
(29:21):
know, especially with the knee, because all in this game, which has
also been a signature thing with JalenHurts. Jale Hurts barely ever moved out
of pocket. He just kind ofsat around and let himself completions, and
the whole offense was frustrated. Imean it was just again just like the
Cowboys, but in a different way. It was just a complete collapse,
(29:41):
complete collapse from a coaching standpoint, from the players execution, and the Buck
did whatever they wanted. And theEagles need to fix that secondary. You
know Jason or Yeah, Jason Kelseyis retiring. That's a huge hole for
them, being the guys I thinka five t five time All Pro first
(30:03):
team that's crazy. He's gonna bea Hall of Famer. You know,
you don't just replace that. Andhe was playing at a high level as
well. And more importantly, Yeah, he's a great center. But I
think I don't think I'm gonna beable to do the Tush push or the
Brugley shovel without him. I thinkhe's the key to that play. As
much everyone just wants to say,oh play, it's Jason Kelcey's the reason
(30:26):
that play works so well. JasonKelcey straight up like goes lower than anybody
else. Can You can watch theclip over and over, and then there's
some stupid stuff about him moving theball forward all that. Whatever reality is
when that ball is snapped, he'sso low and leverage and the guys get
above him, basically, and hejust keeps pushing guys because he's that strong,
(30:51):
he's that talented. So I thinkthere's gonna be some changes in Philadelphia.
I don't know what that's gonna mean. I've no idea what the Eagles
are gonna look like next year,or you know, we're gonna have to
wait to see a couple of gamesin the season and even though this team
is actually good or not, orif it's gonna be a continue if they're
gonna reset, fix their secondary, fix their defense a little bit, Jalen
(31:11):
Hurts gets healthier and they can playa little better, or if it's just
gonna be a continuation of the collapsethat kind of happen at the end of
the season. There's no telling. We'll see what they do in the offseason
here, but there's a lot ofquestion marks of this Eagles team. I've
never seen a team collapse so quickly, not just for one season next,
but from the first half of seasonto the second half Yeah, this is
(31:36):
the big collapse, because you're right, they went to a team like they
beat the Chiefs, and yeah, the Chiefs weren't playing that well at that
point, but like ten to oneto going to like I would have picked
them. I picked against them inthe playoffs if they'd played anyone in the
NFL almost besides like the Panthers andthe Jets, like if they're playing or
maybe the Commanders too, but likeif they're playing the Bears or something,
I probably would have taken the Bears. That's how bad they played. Over
(31:56):
the last several weeks, there's alot of discussion about uh Nick Siri and
his future with the organization. Itis tough you lose two coordinators. Do
you give him some grace because hewent to the Super Bowl last year?
Do you try to find him newcoordinators to try to revamp this thing?
Jalen Hurts was obviously not one hundredpercent. There's a lot of you know,
like we got to get him backto playing good football as well,
because you know, he was rumoredas being like a top five quarterback.
(32:19):
You know, we had cautioned againstthat a little bit, Like he's top
ten. He's doing well but maybenot that well. Breaking news seas on
the podcast too, Jason Kelsey saidhe did not retire, and he said
he would do it when it's time. He did that on his own podcast
apparently this morning. I guess,So that's coming out, so we'll see,
I guess. But they also likeit's it kind of comes down to
(32:42):
like everything, right, So they'vethey've loved drafting in the trenches and that's
great, but like they've also agedin places too, Like Jason Kelsey has
gotten older, he's not playing atthe highest level. He's playing very very
well. You have plenty of defensivelinemen that are taking reps from the young
guys. So you have like BrandonGraham and Fletcher Cox are still very good
players, but you have guys whoare sitting on the bench, and you
(33:02):
have a good rotation of guys, but not the guys who are quitting this
impact. And then you have DariusLay and James Bradberry in the secondary who
are getting burnt and not making tackles. And it's that's another place where you've
just aged out. Like sometimes youneed to move your draft picks the positions
you're actually gonna use them. Sometimesyou have to move on from veterans,
even if you don't want to.I'm not saying they should to move on
for Jason Kelce or even the twodefensive lineman Fletcher Cox and Brandon Graham,
(33:24):
but you have to have a betterplan than that because it looks like they're
kind of wearing down at the endof the season too, and some of
them might have to do with someage. So it's really cool that we
could tell how he rose. Buthe did a great job building this roster,
and then he drafts well because hetakes all the Georgia defensive linemen but
nowhere to be seen. They weren'tgetting pressure on the quarterback. They weren't
nothing, So they got to figurethey have a lot to figure out.
(33:45):
It starts again from just like theCowboys, when you have a failure like
this, it starts from the topdown. You have to have some self
reflection. If you're Howie Roseman, you got to go all the way down
to the coaching staff, to theplayers and figure out what's gonna want on
him. Because this is something Idon't think we've ever seen anything like this
one, and people comparing it tothe Steelers who were like eleven and oh
a couple of years ago. No, not even close. This is not
even close. The Steelers were notEveryone knew the Steelers weren't that good.
(34:07):
Eagles. We thought they were avery good team and well constructed. I
that's the It hurts my head whenI hear that argument. All right,
let's go to the divisional round cease. We have four games to watch this
weekend. Two on Saturday, twoon Sunday. We're gonna start it off
with the Houston Texans and the BaltimoreRavens. Now, this line has jumped
(34:27):
around. Opened at nine and ahalf, went down to eight, and
now back up to nine for theRavens at home. Sees, who are
you going with? So my Godreally wants me to pick this Texans straight
up, but my brain is tellingme that's that's dumb. Don't do that,
(34:47):
that's stupid. So I'm gonna pickthe Ravens to win the game because
one, they're playing at home. They played very well down the stretch,
and the Texans played really well lastgame, but there's still some lingering question
marks about their team. Overall.I would be rooting like Dins this weekend.
(35:08):
I'm gonna pick them to cover ninepoints, I'd cover them basically anything.
That's if it's well above. Ifseven points are above, I'm picking
up. That's that's the reality forme. Wherever this line goes, and
if it goes higher, that's justfree money for me. Because there are
the things I think can happen andthe reasons why I think Texans can win
this game. I think the Ravenscould come out flat. The reality is
(35:31):
they had a similar situation three yearsago and they lost the Titans. They
got out and they just got theygot beat up. They were not ready.
I don't know, you know, obviously things can change. People argue
what same organization, same coastly thatthey came out flat. I think that
(35:52):
naturally happens when you sit down forso long. You have a team that
just played really well the week before. They've got a lot of momentum going
into this game, and I thinkthat's gonna play for the Texans, and
I think that'll keep this game veryclose. I think it will be a
close game. I worry that theweather in Baltimore can kind of slow down
(36:13):
the Texans because they is used toit since they played home in a nice
warm part of the country. They'renot gonna be at home this time,
and at Baltimore crowdsy me in fourthroath, They're gonna be loud, and
it's gonna be harder for a CJ. Stroud offense communicate, so that come
out. Because they do have amore talented roster, they have a good
head coach, and they have ahuge home field advantage in this one.
(36:37):
But I think the Texans will givethem a good game and Texans are able
to pull it out. I thinkthere. I don't think this is gonna
be a I think it's gonna bea close game. It's gonna be a
good game to watch. But theRavens are the more talented team, and
it just makes sense if you're doingit straight up, to do the Ravens.
But your gambler, I would takeTexans money line all day and just
(36:58):
sit back and enjoy the game.Yes, he's I can spread. Oh
yeah, yeah, I'm with you. I did waffle on this one back
and forth in terms of the spread. Nine is. I mean, we've
had some pretty big playoffs spreads forthis weekend in comparison the past years,
just because of the upsets and everythingelse that happened in some of the blowouts
as well. But I'm taking theRavens to win and the Texans with the
(37:22):
points as well. The reason whyI was waffling on it is this team
is a little bit different than theone three years ago, and that Todd
Monkins offense can help them I think, not come out flat. It's probably
a little bit easier to come outflat when you're just doing the same Greg
Roman offense where you're just running theball a million times and like that worked.
It was a good but you know, now they're actually utilizing wide receivers
(37:42):
and everything, so I do thinkthat that's a big reason why they're gonna
win. You know, Mark Andrewsactivated off of IR, so he's able
to come back. If not thisgame, he'll be here next game.
Probably. This is an offense thatI think can do some damage. So
I'm taking the Ravens to win.But I you know, I can't pick
against the Stroud Boys. CJS stillan incredible season, top ten NFL quarterback
(38:02):
type of season this year, andeven with guys getting hurt. You know,
Tank Dell's out, Noah Brown justyou got hurt last week. He's
on IR now. So limited targets. He still has Nico Collins Dalton Schultz.
I think they're going to be ableto get enough done to keep this
one close, and at least,at the very least, I hope that
that we get some close playoff gamesthis week. So maybe that's a little
bit of hope there too. OnSaturday night, we have deep Packers and
(38:24):
forty nine Ers, the teams thathave matched up in the playoffs so many
times in the last several years,a little bit different. Look now at
Jordan Love at quarterback for the Packersnow seas for forty nine Ers at home.
Another line that has been moving. It started at like ten and now
it's all the way down to eightfor San Francisco. Yeah, I will
(38:45):
take San Francisco to win and covereight all day. I mean I would
take him at nine and a half, ten point, I would take him
at ten points. After ten anda half, we're half to table with
because I mean, you're kind ofrisking your kind of trying to risk for
really, teasing spread up by apoint is not going to win you that
much more money. So but youknow, if you're if you're gambler here
(39:07):
and you're getting eight eight and ahalf, he's it up to nine and
a half. Honestly, this ismaybe a good tease up week because eight
and a half or nine and ahalf, it is like the I mean,
do you really think the four nsare going to be weirdly up by
three field goals basically or have someweird it's it's San Francisco. They might
get some rain. That's something toconsider. You know, we always try
(39:28):
to take a look at our weatherreports here, but you know, who
knows how much that's really in affectthem. The Packers beat the Cowboys like
they seem to always do in theplayoffs to allow the people we know chagrin,
But the other trunk Packers have hadas our resident Packers, ban On
has pointed out at times, thefour destroy the Packers every time in the
(39:52):
playoffs without fail. So I thinkthat's going to continue to happen. I
think that the forty Niners team isone of the most talent rosters in the
NFL. I think they really good. They is a running back. They
are run first team. The Packersare one of the worst teams against the
run in the NFL. They reallyare. It's that simple. They can
(40:15):
run the football against the Packers. They have offensive weapons that are physical and
can run after catch, which issomething the Packers are going to struggle with.
Hair Alexander is still banged up alittle bit as well. I don't
think the Packers defense is gonna beable to take advantage like they did against
the cow I think the Packers' offenseis going to struggle more because Aaron Jones
is gonna be able to get theground game going the same way he did
(40:36):
again. Big guys, you knowthe Cowboys are small and forty nine ers.
There are some big dudes out therein the front seven. They are
massive. I mean they are builtfor strength. That's how this team likes
to play. They're physical and theygive up some. I wouldn't be surprised
with Jordan Love, you know, throws for you know, two hundred and
(40:57):
fifty yards. I think that canhappen the forty hundred and secondary weakness on
defense, but I don't think it'sgoing to be significant. I think that
it's going to be more garbage timemore than anything. They are a physical
team, they are a strong team. The Packers are not going to match
up well with them. So Ithink the forty Nineers win this game.
I'm not saying the Packers are bad. I'm interested to see how they play
against this team because you know KyleShahan's going to be prepared, and also
(41:20):
the Packers defense basically their matching strengthagainst weakness on offense versus defense. So
well, we'll see how it playsout. But I think forty nine ers
all the way. Yeah. Mybiggest issue with the fort and Niners this
year or in terms of like theirfuture, was just making sure they stayed
healthy. They have so many injuryprone guys on this roster, guys who
have had injuries in the last severalyears, whether it's Kittle, McCaffrey,
(41:40):
Trent Williams. I just want tomake sure they're healthy. And after this
two weeks to get refreshed. Ithink they're going to kill the Packers.
I have thought about moving the lineall the way up to thirteen and a
half, maybe just twelve and ahalf, because then you get, you
know, touchdown to two field goals. You're right, the defense will be
able to shut down the run forthe Packers. Put in the game in
(42:00):
Jordan Love's hands. I don't thinkthe game plan will be quite as bad
as the Cowboys. Was forty nineers as well be able to run on
the Packers. And I think thelast time season they got a buye.
We remember, we were talking likethe forty nine ers, what the heck?
They lost three games in a row. They get on that buy and
then they started covering these massive spreads. The second half of the season.
It was, you know, alot of double digit spreads. They were
able to cover against some good teamstoo, They were able to win by
(42:22):
double digits. I'm taking forty nineers. I could see brock Perty maybe
coming out flat, you know,But honestly, I think this is the
running game, and the mismatch betweenrunning games here I think is going to
be the key to this one.I think the forty nine ers winning cover
probably went by about two touchdowns. So just yeah, I think you're right.
I think it's something they're worth worthconsidering. Moving that line just a
little bit. On Sunday, wehave the Buccaneers and Lions in the first
(42:46):
game, this one second home playoffgame for Detroit. We have Detroit Lions
favored by six and a half points. Yeah, I'm gonna go Lions to
win, you know, I'm gonnago. I'm gonna go and say I'm
gonna take the Buccaneers of the pointsright now. I think they're gonna play
(43:07):
close because I think Baker Mayfield startingto hount. I think they could have
had an even better game last year, and basically the Lions secondary struggles,
not a mutch of the Eagles, but they still struggle a lot. We
saw that with Pukinakua. I couldsee Mike Evans having a really big game
this especially considering all the drops he'swant to get right, and Baker Mayfield
(43:27):
is gonna keep throwing the ball andfeed into him. I don't think that,
you know, Tampa Bay's a passfirst offense. They're you know,
shot right's there, and he's hadsome good games, but it's not really
about him in any way. Soit's gonna be what Baker wants. Baker
would throw will gladly throw the ballforty times a game, and that's the
kind of game he's probably gonna getin this matchup. So I don't know
(43:50):
how necessarily close it's going to bethroughout, but I think the Lions offense
is going to play decently well.I think the Buccaneers are better played better
on defense than maybe are. Butthe reality is it's it's kind of a
question of the Lions got the monkeyoff their back of never having a playoff
win, and you know, thirtyyears, almost over thirty years. But
(44:14):
now it's a question of what ifare they gonna play loose and free or
they kind of everyone's just so elatedby what already happened. I don't think
Dan Campbell's gonna just be like elated. I think Dan Campbell's gonna get those
guys ready. He's a motivator.People want to say all kinds of things
about him. He's a gambler,and maybe he's not the best x NO
guy, but he's a hell ofa motivator. He's gonna get them ready
to play at home time. ButI think Baker Mayfield and that passing attack
(44:39):
will keep it close enough, soI think the Lions win it. I
think they'll be in control for mostof the time. But I think I
keep trying to heave the ball downfield to keep it close. I'm with
you with the pick there, Lionsstraight up, but Buccaneers with the points.
I like we said too about BakerMayfield, like it's gonna be his
game to prove himself again. Likethere's the line secondary's not very good.
(45:01):
He has way outmatched receivers for them, and the Lions are gonna probably try
to get the lead and run theball, so it might be a little
bit of catch up. But atthe end of the day, I do
think they keep it close just becausethey like Mike Evans, will have some
big plays. He's gonna want tohave a better performance this week after it's
having a couple of those drops.Baker Mayfield playing with a fire to keep
it close. But like you said, Dan Campbell will have these guys ready
(45:22):
to play too, and they havesome legit star power. And I think
maybe we don't talk about it becauseit's Detroit or you know, like maybe
it's just the offense having some issuessometimes when Jared GoF gets pressured. But
aman Ross ain't Brown fifteen hundred yardsthis year. I mean, I would
say approaching top five wide receiver inthe league. Territory. Jamier Gibbs,
we've both been high on all thisyear, needs to get more snaps and
(45:45):
has just really opened up the runninggame for both him and David Montgomery.
Honestly, so I'm excited for thisone. I think the offensive line for
the Lions makes a big impact too, because the Buccaneers do have some guys
you can get after the quarterback, including Gayad Diabi had a fantastic rookie season.
But I think the Lions offensive blankcan help them to get this win
and go to the conference championship game. Never thought I'd be saying that one,
(46:07):
all right, the game of theweekend, I think we can say
the Kansas City Chiefs at the BuffaloBills. You know, the Chiefs,
Bills, Bengals have been playing eachother in the playoffs the last several years
and have this three way rivalry. It seems like the Bills are gonna want
to get back at the Chiefs forall the heartbreak they've caused in the past.
The Bills are at home in favoredby three points. He's yeah,
(46:28):
I'm gonna go. I'm gonna goBills to win it, and because it's
the small spread, I'm gonna goBills to cover too. I think this
is gonna be interesting because it's it'sthe first time the Chiefs have gone all
a road in the playoffs. Wesaw how crazy the game earlier this year.
Happened. I think to the Billsthis means everything. Obviously, the
(46:51):
Chiefs they know it. They playedthese guys before they're gonna be playing.
I think there's just a lot ofit's the playoffs. It's Buffalo's chance fans
to finally just advance past the Chiefs. I think that's a huge thing here.
I think if anybody can really crackthe defense that he has thrown as
Josh Allen, this game is prettymuch all on Josh Allen at all times,
(47:15):
because Josh Allen can make things happenagainst even a talented defense that Kansas
City has. I think Pat Maholmesis gonna get his in this game.
I think he'll play decently well, you know. I think Rashid Rice will
probably have a good game. Checkwill be less effective in this game because
the Bills are good, again, better against a run. Not elite,
(47:35):
but good. So it really isgonna come down to the two quarterbacks.
I mean, that's kind of whateverybody wants, It's what the NFL wants.
It's kind of like their dream scenariois to have these two. It's
gonna look different. I don't knowwhat exactly that's gonna entail because these teams
have struggled at times. The Billshave a lot of talents still, but
(47:58):
they struggled down the stretch to keepHe's going. But they played better but
inconsistent. Still, the Chiefs offensehas been a shell of itself. So
I just think with that being said, I think the Bills and Josh Allen
are gonna try to score a lotof points. They're gonna try to keep
scoring, and it's gonna be aquestion of is Kansas City going to be
(48:19):
able to put up as many points? And I'm not talking to ball,
I'm talking I mean this game couldend up being anywhere. Probably like the
twenty point range is what somebody couldscore if somebody gets to that point.
I think it's that simple. Ifyou get to four touchdowns, most likely
you're gonna win this game. Now, are they gonna do that against Kansas
(48:42):
City Chiefs? Josh can do that. It's just if he turns over the
ball like he's been prone to do, they won't and the Chiefs will win
this game. So if Josh Allenhas more than one turnover, the Chiefs
are gonna win this game. Butif he only has one or less,
I think the Bills win it,and that's why I'm gonna pick the Bills
to win and cover. You're right, the other runners only forty five and
a half, so if you getfour touchdowns, you're probably winning this game.
(49:04):
The way at least it sets up. I think I'm going Bills to
win and cover as well, becausethat is going to be the most hostile
environment I think we've seen an NFLgame. The Bills fans are crazy enough.
They've had this heartbreak with the Chiefs. There's been you know, like
Benglis Fencer relay too, There's beensome questionable calls in some of the games.
There's been like the coin flip thatreally screwed them, and like not
that that wasn't anything wrong with thecoin flip, but just the coin flip
(49:24):
got you know, that's how theygot the win the Chiefs in one of
the playoff gas a couple of yearsago. This is this is going to
be such a hostile environment. You'reright. The Chiefs first road playoff game,
Taylor Swift's gonna be freezing or buttoff up in Buffalo, just crazy.
So that the environment's going to bepart of the reason why I'm taking
this one. But also I thinkJosh Allen's ability to run is going to
(49:45):
be huge in this game. You'reright, ball security's job security, so
he's gonna have to make sure hedoesn't fumble because he might throw a pick
in this one. If he throwsone pick, it's fine, but turning
over the ball twice against the Chiefs, they will make you pay. So
I think just scrambling, getting outof the pocket, making sure they're committed
to g games coke as well.He doesn't score rushing touchdowns because Josh Allen
gets all those, but just makingsure he can help move the chains,
(50:05):
you know, and making sure StefanDiggs doesn't have a tantrum on the sideline.
Again, just keeping everyone keeping thevibes good. You gotta stay together
if you're gonna beat the Chiefs. That's gonna be huge. Defense has played
pretty well for the Bills. They'vegot plenty of players who have been there
before, so I'm trusting trusting theBills to get the job done. You
know, the Chiefs have had agood season, and I was impressed how
last week. Yes it was cold, but the first time they had committed
(50:28):
to the run in a big waybecause that's just how teams are playing them.
Like the wide receivers aren't winning, the safeties are playing too deep to
stop Patrick Mahomes. You have torun the football. That's gonna win you
playoff games. And they did that, and I guess I should have expected
Dany Reid to do that because he'sa very great NFL head coach. But
we'll see if they can do itagain and against the Bills. Maybe the
Bills can stop the run a loteasier than maybe people think, and then
(50:49):
they do throw the ball too much. Who knows, But end of the
day going Bills because of the environment, because of Josh Allen's ability to stretch
the field vertically with his arm andalso to run the ball. So we
both had the same pick. Therecease any final thoughts for the week now.
I think we picked everything the same, which always worries me, but
(51:09):
I think we have a good spot. I think what we're saying here is
there's gonna be a lot of teamsthat probably the favorite should all win most
likely, But what we're really thinkingis they're going to be a lot closer
than some people think. Besides theforty nine Packers game, So what I'm
really hoping for. My final thoughtis I just want some good playoff games
this week. It gets boring. You get with all of your friends,
(51:31):
you sit there, you're ready football, and you just watch a team get
blown out before halftime, and thenyou're just awkwardly sitting there for two hours,
and then there's a half hour betweenthe two games and you're just going,
I'm really bored. So good games. I want to have them to
be at least competitive, no blowouts. Blessu're the forty nine ers. Yeah,
(51:52):
the this is not something that alot of people like to do.
But first of all, thank youfor not not saying you enjoyed watching my
or disbelief in the Cowboys and theperformance this week that was. That's good
because I it was not fun buttoo not always popular to do. But
a little, maybe a little moneyline parlay on the four teams this game,
you know this week, if youif you like the teams that we
liked that we picked, I'm prettyconfident in the money line. The spreads
(52:14):
are something where yeah, I couldsee the Buccaneers or excuse me, the
Lions winning by a touchdown. Icould see the forty nine ers somehow making
the game close, so the Ravenscoming out not coming out flat and covering.
So just you know, they're pickingall favorites, so the odds aren't
gonna be great, but you canstill make some money off of it.
Just something they consider. Also,I'll remind everyone to like and subscribe on
YouTube and wherever your podcast. Ithelps us as we move along here a
(52:36):

Championship round. Thanks for watching,We'll see you guys next week
