Hello, and welcome to the thirdand the Don Football Show. I am
Joe with me Cecil as always, here to recap Week thirteen of the NFL
season. Preview Week fourteen. Itfeels like it maybe isn't this far into
the season, but we're into Decemberright now, Cecil, how are you
doing great? You know what alot of fantasy football playoffs. I'm in
(00:21):
contention. I've clenched in two andthen our league is a literal anybody could
get in, anybody could get eliminated. It's been a hell of a time
fantasy wise this year and the NFLseason, and then nobody it feels like
nobody is really going to be thesurefire winner besides maybe the forty nine ers
(00:44):
right now in any way, Yeah, that's pretty true, and you're right,
Fantasy for us is going to bea fun weekend. There's seven teams
in contention for the playoffs and threeteams in a ten team league and contention
for last place. A lot offun. We don't usually see stuff like
that. So excited for that, excited for all that joy that's going to
bring both of us, probably,But let's get started with a recap of
(01:06):
Week thirteen. Seas. It startedon Thursday night football. Seahawks and Cowboys
is a pretty good Thursday night footballgame. DK Metcalf had a heck of
a game for the Seahawks. Sixcatches, one hundred thirty four yards and
three touchdowns. He got the betterof Darren Bland for a couple of those
catches, plan didn't get him back. He got an interception late in the
game. Cowboys win forty one tothirty five. Dak increases his MVP chances
(01:29):
as we go along, still playingpretty well. It's good fight by the
Seahawks, but the Cowboys are,as we said last week's Seas, other
than the Eagles, in the otherthan the Eagles and forty nine ers,
they're looking like the best team inthe NFC. Yeah. No, it
was a really good matchup, honestly. I mean DK Metcalf, it's been
(01:51):
a very slow season for him timesor if they haven't had these. And
there's one weakness to the Cowboys,it's definitely their secondary And I think it's
overlooked as the class rush because ofthe Bland this year. But the same
thing with Drayvon Diggs seems to betrue with Dron is these guys can get
(02:12):
burnt and then you know they canmake some weird, you know plays on
the ball where you know they're gonnapick a lot, but they can also
get kind of torched on some route. They're big play, big risk kind
of corners, which I think forthe Cowboys a lot this year because they've
been up so much kind of blowup in their face. Luckily in this
(02:37):
one, the Cowboys, now afterkind of a stunning end of the first
half, was able to just theirgame and come away with a win and
a really hard fought probably the bestThursday Cowboys again showing we're one of the
best teams in the NFL. Showyou know they can make the playoffs,
(02:57):
and you know they can make somenoise here they get the chance. They're
not completely out, but we justsee again we talked about are just in
a different class in the Seahawks arekind of in that net out of the
top couple teams. Yeah, definitely, Seahawks are probably right below in that
(03:23):
NFC and a team that it's stillhard to figure out six and six,
still a lot to play for. They have the forty nine ers com up
this week. We're gonna pick thatgame later I think that could be huge
for the Seahawks season one way oranother, whether it's making the playoffs or
not. To be honest, soa lot to look forward to. Let's
move on to Sunday. There wasa lot of good games on Sunday Sea.
So we have the Colts beating theTitans in overtime thirty one to twenty
(03:46):
eight. There was a lot oftouchdowns early and then it was a bunch
of field goals a safety in thereas well. Derek Henry had a second
straight game with two touchdowns, rushingGardner Minshew three hundred twelve yards two touchdowns.
Ultimately they get to win here. That's huge for the Colts. They're
looking like a playoff team right nowif the season ended to be in the
playoffs. And the Titans, yeah, they're fighting hard. They're not a
great team. They're just trying todevelop Will levi Us and see what they
(04:08):
got for next year. At thispoint right now, I mean, it's
crazy cossly considering the collapses we've seenthe last couple of seasons when they were
the ones that were kind of favoredto win the divis good to see them
how that fight is good to seeyou know, Gardner minshewld be the one
leading them to victory. That guydeserves a strong job, not just to
(04:31):
be the backup in the league.I'm all in for Minshew. Made you
know, in the game, therewere a lot of special teams misused by
the Titans, So I think that'sreally what caused them to lose this game.
Ultimately. I mean, the Coltshave a sneaking defense right now.
(04:51):
I mean they're they're the way, they're not giving up top points. But
I mean this was kind of alike these teams three years ago, almost
like they kind of came back tolife for just a little bit for a
couple of games. So Colts, like you said, are are still alive
(05:13):
very much in the wildcard race.We also thought, you know, we're
dead in the water. So whathappens there? You know your season's over.
Stick with Will Levis. I meanwe've sent off signs of live to
think this is, you know, somebody go forward. I think they just
need to fix that offensive line morethan anything. That way, you know,
(05:35):
if they're gonna stick with Derrick Henryfor a little bit, they got
to give them a little more abilityto run than just getting tackle in the
backfield constantly. I think why theywill only help the running game and help
their young quarterback because they've got receiversright now, they've I mean, their
defense is good enough. I meanyou could use upgrades there, but I
(05:56):
think, you know, first roundpick for the Titans unless you know,
a lot of things just don't foldtheir way, that they should be going
offensive lineman early. Yeah, mockdraft for me coming out tomorrow is going
to have the Titans taking offensive lineman. Shocker. And this is Mike Brabel's
gonna want to do too. Soyou know, they're gonna go back to
running the ball with Derrick Henry alot more. And they've they've obviously done
that the last couple of weeks. But then they're going to have Will Levis
(06:18):
being able to play off of that, which will help his production as well.
Next game up, see if wehave the Chargers beating the Patriots.
It seemed like an old school score. It was six to nothing. Cameron
Dicker is the player of note here. He scored all six points for the
Chargers. The Patriots two and ten. Now looking like they might get one
of the top quarterbacks in the draftclass, and at this rate, hopefully
(06:40):
they just tank itt this, youknow, to get that Chargers trying to
play their way back into the playoffpicture a win that was in bad condition.
So it's good they wanted they goodthey won this one. They spread
was five and a half and they'vecovered the spread by only scoring six points
total. It was incredible. Yeah, it was a just I mean,
I'm glad we didn't get to watchtoo much of this game because there wasn't
really much to see. Just nooffense whatsoever. H's really bad, Like
(07:08):
basically the Chargers just stock just stackedthe box every play. Just trying to
tell Bill Belchick didn't take anything fromit. Bill O'Brien, Bill Belichick on
the now pretty much saying that, you know, he doesn't have a lot
of full control of the offense. He pretty much has to work in whatever
(07:29):
parameter's Bill Belichick gives him a lotapparently, so now you've got, you
know, coordinator. They see theircareers being like it is as much Bill
O'Brien swalled as it is Bill notkid ourselves. You know, you watch
(07:50):
this game and you're just like, there's this is not really salavable right now.
The way this this team is trendingthe way. You know, you
know the clip from two weeks agofrom Drill Preppers talking about how bad the
team was. You know that NFLfilms caught and posted. I mean,
the locker room is a mess. They don't have a quarterback. Their coach
doesn't seem willing to really give upcontrol and things he really needs to.
(08:15):
You know, it's it's over thePatriots, and I mean Chargers. I
mean, come on, guys, like six points two field goals all you
could do. Like they're not anygood either, like it like the Chargers
are in this weird like mystical they'rethe AFC has like become wild cards have
become this like crazy like wild Westwhere anybody could get there that somehow the
(08:37):
Chargers are still alive too. Butlet's be honest. They've put together a
horrible season so far. It's justungodly. Is unbelievable. They're not if
he could, I mean, they'vethey've just failed at every level system.
They cannot get wins in most games. You know, they should have been
(08:58):
favored in game. Sure things breaktheir way, but you know, you
know, Chargers chargering, and youknow the head coach is one of the
big reasons why and the idea thatyou won this game by two because the
other team was just literally it's justprobably the most Chargers thing to really just
(09:18):
cement. Even in a win,the Chargers look absolutely awful, very true.
They have a big game come upwith the Broncos, which could help
the side a lot of things.Broncos go off to the rough start and
are now trending in the right direction, even though they lost this past week
as well, which we'll get toin a second two but that could mean
a lot. I mean for thisAFC West, Chargers and Broncos play twice
down the stretch here could decide alot with the AFC playoff picture. Next
(09:41):
game up, the Lions beat theSaints thirty three to twenty eight. Now
see the Lions went up from twentyone to nothing in this game. This
was we had two options for thenational TV game. We watched Sunday Ticket
on a different screen. We turnedthis game off to go watch the Cardinals
Steelers because it was twenty one andnin within the first seven minutes. The
(10:01):
Saints end up battling back. Thatwas you know, this line stopped scoring.
The Saints end up battling back andthey score touchdown. Second half,
Derek car gets hurt, Jameis Winstongoes in. He throws cool passes that
get tipped by a defender and goright into the receiver's hands. Just a
flag. I do that in flagfootball too. It's a fun fun thing
to do. We got to seeJamis, We've got to see them fight
(10:22):
back and come back. But thelines were able to hang on. They
just you just kind of wish itwas more a dominating fashion after how good
of a start they got. No, absolutely, I mean the Lions almost
blew this game. And again, you know it's the top of the NFC
is tough to beat. Don't getaway with like that's an epic. They
(10:46):
almost had an epic collapse at theend of this game. Pretty much well
in that collapse for three quarters. It's hard when you get all to that
fast to start and you just game. There was weird personnel to I don't
know why Dontgomery just literally stayed inthe whole game. It felt like even
(11:07):
though Jamire Gibbs was you know, had huge run plays from the start of
the game and then in obvious passingsituations, he's still not in I'm a
Gibbs fantasy owner, but that's notthe only reason why Jamire Gibbs is by
far the better receiving back balls toDave Montgomery that he's dropping on third downs
and it's like third the Lions are. They're doing weird stuff. It doesn't
(11:35):
make sense, and it is concerningthat you have a Saints team that just
suddenly you let back into the gamefor pretty much the Lions. Basically we
got I think one more touchdown atthis game and that's pretty much what they're
up by so much. You can'tplay like that and expect to win the
(11:58):
playoffs team games past the while cardround, because that's once we get to
the divisional they're going to be playingyou know, one of the Cowboys,
Eagles or forty nine Ers most likely, and those teams are not going to
go down easy, and it's they'regonna have to play much smarter complete football.
Can't play the you know, theyfight clawback for when they can't play
(12:20):
this. We got off to ahot start and slow down, you know,
you know, a win's a win, sure, and we've talked about
with the Eels a lot this year, but sometimes it's just insist these with
the Lions are way more and itjust feels like it's gonna bite them in
the wrong time when they come tothe playoffs and they're just not gonna be
(12:41):
able to recover. Yeah, Ifeel that cease. I think that's a
sentiment I think a lot of peopleshare is if they don't get the right
matchup, it could be a badplayoffs for the Lions, which is not
something a lot of people want tosee. They want to see the underdogs
and the team that has struggled forso long do well. The Saints,
I mean, it was so disappointing. They have a perfect shot to win
this NFC South this year and togo get Derek Carr and he just becomes
(13:03):
captain checked down when they put Jamisin the game. He's doing Jamis things.
They just can't figure it out.I think a full on reset is
what this team needs. They've doneso many years of just trying to avoid
the cap and just restructuring contracts. You know. I just wish they would
figure that out more so than kindof like delaying things and delaying things.
Maybe just a full rebuild and theymight be in a position to do it
(13:24):
if they keep losing games like this, it might be in a position to
take a quarterback, maybe not oneof the top two, but one of
the better quarterbacks in this draft classand start doing it because it just does
not look pretty. The next gamewe have the Falcons beat the Jets thirteen
to eight. This was not onegame that was worth noting. Really,
it's just a bad weather game. The Falcons get the win. John Robinson
(13:46):
got eighteen carries. You like tosee that, even though there was it
was tough to get yards against theJets defense. The Jets score eight points.
They got two field goals in asafety. After this game, Tim
Boyle was cut and now it's reportedthat Zach Wilson is reluctant to go back
in the starting lineup. That's obviouslybeen something that's been conflicted the last couple
of days. Whether he has beenreluctant or not, either way, the
(14:09):
Jets aren't going anywhere this year. The Falcons might win the NFC South and
both these teams are garbage. Yeah, it's it's that that game was a
real shit show. I mean,b Jean Robinson got hit five yards in
the zone for a safety. TheJets defense is really good. And Arthur
Smith, you know, is alimited offensive mind. I mean straight up
(14:35):
he used in this game, butyou know, the Jets defense requires a
little more of him. Just we'regonna run a ball with be Sean.
You know, they're their top three, probably the best unit in the NFL.
And they show a weekend and weekout and the Balks ever get a
touchdown, and that basically is coffinnails for a Jets team. Seems like
(14:56):
every week, as if games scoresa touchdown, they don't defend some touchdown
themselves. It's tough to watch withyour Jets team fan. I don't know
what to think of this. ZachWilson, like he's reluctant to go back
into the starting role, Like whatthe hell does that mean? You just
(15:18):
you don't want to play anymore?Like I'm just like, it's just like
what a shit show do we havegoing on with the Jets organization of this,
Like the idea that like you're anNFL player who like your your livelihood
kind of you know, they're like, we're gonna put you back in the
starting lineup, and you think hereally just went I don't know if that's
(15:41):
my career it's I mean, whatis going on? Meanwhile, you got
Aaron Rodgers doing this according back tothe practice, with this charade of pretending
you can practice where you can barelymove from a little bit of like cliffs
and pictures and reports. I've heardit's Haaran Rodgers basically standing like a statue
(16:03):
around you know, Walker run can'tjump up in the air even like a
couple of inches. So, Imean, team that is just so dysfunctional
that they didn't have a backup planetquarterback. They pretty I mean, we're
(16:26):
seeing what the AFC looks like.In the AFC even I mean the top
everyone's beatable in some way or another. Now, some teams have you know,
the you know the resume and havebeen before and have been the playoffs.
I'll have that experience. But everyteam has proven to itself they're beatable.
I mean, the Dolphins are theone seed right now, looked.
(16:49):
I mean they're beatable. You know, You've got the Chiefs who look beatable.
You've got the Jaguars just got beaton Monday night by a team that
was pretty much left for debt.Ravens are Browns, don't have a court
like half the teams don't have quarterbacks. Other teams offenses can't seem to figure
(17:11):
it out. Everybody is vulnerable. It feels like you could walk in the
playoffs and there could just be upsetafter upset. It just doesn't feel like
anybody sure there's a team you go. These guys are favorited, but at
this point, I don't know whatthat even means because it doesn't seem to
matter at this point in the NFL. So parody is everywhere, I guess,
(17:32):
But also just it's just last coupleof weeks with all the injuries and
the could have basically been a playoffteam, and who knows with this crazy
ass season, if it had ahalf decent backup quarterback that wasn't Zach Wilson,
or they traded for somebody, youknow, traded for Kirk Cousins before
he got hurt, or just anybodyout there. I mean, this defense
(17:59):
is good enough to play. Imean Josh Dobbs literally like started off with
the Vikings and got cut by theCardinals. I mean, like just can
get you yards, like they literallythat's all they need and they could be
a team this year, and withthe way these other teams have been playing,
who knows the defense. It couldbe like the two thousand Ravens or
something. They are that good. It's just like, you know, you
(18:21):
at least need someone that's delfer.Like they don't even have somebody who's Trent
delt from this team to leave themto a victory. So you need somebody,
a human being that can get youa first down every once in a
while on your team. The Jetsdon't have that, and they pretty much
have now given into whatever voodoo magicAaron Rodgers is part of, just you
(18:42):
know, acting like that's a solutionwhen the reality just chose as leadership.
I don't know, come back nexthere, but who the hell cares?
I mean, you're in this leagueto try to win, and you know,
maybe you know Aaron Rodgers can comeback for off that wasn't likely too,
but like it's just weird. I'mnot gonna sign a real backup starting
(19:06):
Zach Wilson. I know Tim Boyleis terrible, but I'm gonna keep him
on the roster. And we werejust they were just would the injuries have
turned on to other teams? Thatwas a really stupid decision. Yeah,
I'm with you. I think thisteam dug their own grave when they kept
on sticking with Zach Wilson week afterweek. They had plenty of options to
(19:26):
do. To go make a move. Remembert Rodgers got hurt in the opening
game. If you get to weekfour, we all knew by week four,
all right, Wilson's had a coupleof games. There's nothing he's gonna
do. You have five weeks, six weeks until the trade deadline at that
right, So go make a move. Now. You've dug your own grave.
I know you know that in thebuilding they want to win the games.
It makes no sense to cut TimBoyle now because you're not going to
(19:48):
the playoffs for four and eight AaronRodgers. Makes no sense for him to
come back either behind this offensive linewhich needs some help. Just keep Tim
Boyle in there. Or if ZachWilson, if he doesn't want to play,
throw Tim Boyle back out there, and if you lose, you can
the higher draft pick to get abetter offensive lineman than the draft. There's
two very good tackles. It's likeone of these like, oh, maybe
we can win with what we got. No, that's not how it works.
You have to go try to improveyour roster. And that's what's frustrating
(20:11):
for the Jets. I assume we'renot gonna be talking about them too much
the rest of the play unless AaronRodgers just does something crazy by coming back.
So good riddance for them for not, you know, getting penalized for
not really trying to go up andabove and beyond by getting a new quarterback
when they had the chance. ArizonaCardinals beat the Pittsburgh Steelers twenty four to
ten. This was a game thatwas had a couple of different weather delays.
(20:33):
Kyler Murray on went threw for onehundred and forty five yards and one
touchdown. They kept it on theground with James Connor, who had one
hundred and five yards rushing in twotouchdowns. Good thing for the Cardinals here
for Kyler murray at least, becausehe gets the win. The more wins
they get, the more likely itis they keep him at quarterback and not
draft a new one, as thereare two very good quarterbacks in this draft
class who could be going in thetop two picks of this draft. And
(20:56):
for the Steelers, Canny Pickett getshurt in this game. They were struggling
even when he was in the gamehe had surgery on his ankle. Looks
like mitchter Bisky will be the starterfrom here on out. Yeah, I
mean it's I can't really say itchanges that much for their offense. I
mean, can't you pick it aslily better than Michigrisky and you can throw
left well, But I mean theiroffense is just wildly inconsistent right now.
(21:26):
Team that has an offense where ifI mean basically Arizona scored you know,
in the before the happening, andscored early in the third quarter and we
just went it's over like your team. It's said in the modern NFL now
because there are teams out there wherewe saw the Bangals while Joe Burrow was
(21:48):
severely limited with that cat. Butyou know, they're down by two touchdowns
and it's like early third quarter.I mean, it seems like the game's
virtually over, and they are.The Steelers are in that category right now.
The defense is good, like youknow, a defense doesn't usually score
points. I mean that that's it. Even if they do. It's safeties
(22:11):
too, And I mean how manytimes do you get, you know,
pick sixes or phone recovers or touchdowns, much less multiple game and that's what
it feels like defends every time, and I mean caustic, I mean defense.
It's it's hard to have that levelconsistently over and over. You know,
(22:33):
did you know it's hard to stayhyped. It's hard to importantly,
you know, keep your body fromcramping and being in peak physical you know,
condition to compete when you know yougot to start and stop. It's
the same thing with like you know, when the rain happens and the rain
delay, you know, the pictureis pretty much done because your muscles start
to tighten and it's just not smartto try to go out there afterwards.
(22:56):
So I mean maybe the Steelers randomto that too, But I mean the
Cardinals had everything against them in thisgame, and I mean they came out
and they didn't do anything crazy.Karl Murray didn't do anything that that nuts.
They just pound the ball with JamesConner and the Steelers defense just didn't
have an answer for it. Andyou know, they got embarrassed at home.
It was that simple. And youknow you can say, well Kenny
(23:18):
Pickett got hurt. I mean,I don't think Kenny Pickett be in that
game. So Steelers could make theI mean they still could make the playoffs
again AFC. Right now, Iwhen it comes to the wild cards,
I have no clue, Like II honestly got sit here and I try
(23:41):
to prognosticate guests. But I meaneach team either has a huge quo like
middling at best, at what anything. So it's it's really hard. People
are too hurt to really there's justtoo many unknowns because all the injuries to
say with authority, who's gonna getin, who's gonna lose, who's gonna
(24:04):
be out? And it's just sodeep in the season, so many wins
and losses and games already played thatsome teams are like the Chargers are so
far out of it, but somehowthey're in just because they're team healthy.
They have a hope to be inthe playoffs. So yeah, I don't
know. Steelers not looking. It'sit sucks if you're a Steelers fan.
(24:27):
But at the same time, Imean, you draft, can you picket,
you chosen, can't pick it asyour guy. And I mean too
just Matt Canada, I think there'sjust a lot of things that still need
to get paid off. I thinkthey beat up on a Bengals basically sleepwalking
after, you know, losing theirquarterback in a huge emotional game the week
(24:48):
before, and I think they tookadvantage of that. Sure, and you
know, no familiarity with the newoffense. It seems like we're just getting
more of the same Steelers in thisone. Absolutely. The frustrating thing for
a Steelers fans probably has to bethat they're as you mentioned, their defense
is good, like they're close toI mean, this is a bad game
for him and everything, but they'realso on the field a ton because the
(25:11):
offense stinks. They're so close.Get a quarterback, Get a wide receiver,
another wide receiver to go with GeorgePickens and Deontay Johnson. Maybe get
about another running back if Nagie Harrishas to leave and Jalen Warren isn't your
answer there. But it's so close, and that's got to be just frustrating.
So hopefully for them they can makethe playoffs. Cardinals, like I
said, good win for them forKyler Murray, just to keep this spot.
(25:33):
The next game sees we had theDolphins winning forty five to fifteen.
Not too much for this game.It was a rain game, but they
still threw the ball deep. TyreekKill just made people sip and slide and
he had five catches for one hundredfifty seven yards and two touchdowns. You
know, right now, I'd sayI think Tyrek Kill should get more love
for the MVP. There's a lotof quarterbacks. I'm not sure it's gonna
be a year where quarterbacks deserve theaward. They're probably gonna get it,
(25:55):
but you know, if they winforty five to fifteen, just the typical
Dolphins when they play a team thatthey are better than, they will blow
them out. Yeah, I mean, it really was a kind of a
I mean, it just seems likemost of and when they're on, they're
(26:18):
on, and it's it's off tothe races with them. So it didn't
make any turnovers in this game, and they, I mean they thrived because
of it. Eighteen was getting moreinvolved, which could. I think it'll
kind of slowly the time, especiallyonce they make and I'm right with you,
(26:41):
man should be m VP at thispoint because I mean you look at
probably the top two right now,are you got obvious somehow the favorite and
Dak Prescott is second. Now,I mean, brock Purty is is a
(27:02):
weird case of just going I don'tknow. It's just because he hasn't been
in the league long enough and becauseof where he was drafted that people are
just we vote for him. Butat the same time, you know,
it's just it's a weird Kyle Shanahanand all the weapons and the defense and
it's a completely loaded team that feelslike, you know, Rock Purty didn't
(27:22):
exist, somebody else would be inthere, Sam Donald would almost have similar
results. It feels like I thinkRock Purty does it really well. But
everybody kind of keeps looking is whenis brock Perty going to screw this up?
And that's a league for you,so just go what are we like?
(27:44):
Like, it's weird because when we'regoing to these playoffs, the biggest
question mark for the forty nine ersis are they going to be able to
play from behind? Is brock Pertygoing to be able to play the game?
And that's weird for the league orfor that guy to be first or
win MVP or second in voting orsomething crazy like that. I haven't done
(28:04):
anything. Dak is is good, and I think Dak is great, but
like it's he's had a really goodseason, but it's not been a great
like I just blown out of thewater statistical season. You know, everyone
all the quarterbacks are kind of havinggood but not great seasons. Meanwhile,
Tyrek is I mean looks like haveanybody else, I mean Ken Johnson in
(28:32):
his heyday, I mean Jerry Riceeven, I mean, the season he's
having is just it's unreal. Everytime he touched I mean, it's the
Dolphins offense would not be anywhere nearthe electric explosive if he wasn't on the
field. He makes that offense runand teams are terrified every time he touches
the ball, and they still comingto him, they still can't tackle him,
(28:55):
they still can't stop it. That'swhat's That's why the Dolphins are gonna
have a deep playoff run because ifthey do, it's because Tyreek Hill continues
to make plays and gets an extrathirty yards on a rundown or you know
it's a negative play, he thenturns into a five yard game because he's
just that explosive. He's I thinkit's just the MVP has turned into a
(29:21):
quarterback show, and I just wehave all talked about it. I don't
think MVP should just become a quarterbackonly award and if that's how we're just
gonna consider MVP for not one,it's just whoever's the best quarterback, we
should just make a different award. You know, Miles Garrett was talked about
for MVPA, and I thought thatwas an interesting take as well, and
(29:41):
one that until he got hurt andthe Brown season has kind of been dipping
late, that would be a twothousand yards rushing. There are plenty of
people that aren't quarterbacks that deserve MVP, and in this season where no quarterback
is really dominated in any way,and I just can look and go,
(30:04):
Wow, that guy looks just unstoppable. You know, Lamar Jacks MVP year.
It's not the Pat Mahomes MVP years. Just there's nothing like that going
on. So for Tyreek getting it, I think the Dolphins took care of
business in this game. My onlygripe is that, you know, weather
reports need to get more accurate outthere. I you know, I lost
(30:27):
some money because it was wasn't supposedto rain at eleven thirty, and somehow
it was raining the entire game. And you know I lost because of Sam
Hew passing yards because explicably Ron Riveracan't get Sam how to throw for two
hundred and twenty five yards. Onceyou know they're in a team that's down
three possession of the ball enough toget two hundred and twenty five yards,
(30:49):
and they keep running the ball. They keep running it no matter. I
hate Ron Rivera, and I don'thate him, but I hate this play
style and I would like some Iwould like like a check in the mail,
mister Rivera. That's all He'll say. Don't know if you're gonna get
that cease, but I wish youluck on doing that. Tyreek killed this
year so far, ninety three catches, fourteen eighty one yards in twelve touchdowns.
(31:14):
We have five games left. It'slikely he's gonna get to that two
thousand yard mark if he just kindof keeps doing what he does. What
he's doing. He's going up againstsome good defenses in the last five weeks,
you know, including you know, the Cowboys and then the Ravens and
the Bills, I believe. Buthe's been doing it against everyone all year.
I mean, there's been a coupleof bad games to think against the
Chiefs, against the Bills as wellthe first time around, but everyone else's
(31:37):
he's hit double Digital Fantasy points evenin sanders scoring leagues. This is more
than a fantasy award, I know. But it's if he's doing this much,
he deserves more consideration. That's whyI brought it up. I just
think, you know, Dak Prescotthas a case, Rock Party has a
case, and that he's the quarterbackon the best team. But that's that's
pretty much it to me. Andsome defensive players have a case too,
I think. But it's just it'sjust weird that we're not talking about that,
(32:00):
so I thought i'd bring it up. But the Dolphins keep on rolling,
current number one seed in the AFC. We'll see if they keep that
up. The Texans beat the Broncostwenty two to seventeen. Texans start this
one off hot. The Broncos tryto come back. They get the ball
on a goal to go situation. They miss a couple throws fourth and goal
or excuse your third and goal?Russell Wilson throws a pick. You know,
(32:22):
good game for CJ. Stroud.Get things back on track. They're
seven and five, looking like aplayoff team right now. Tank Dell goes
down in this game. Have topoint out in this one they had him
blocking on the interior on a goalline play. That is absolutely stupid for
a receiver who's five foot seven andmaybe one hundred and fifty pounds soaking wet,
just cannot cannot excuse that. Thatthat's the first thing I'll say.
(32:43):
And second thing, you know, for someone who bet on the Broncos in
this game, as we talked about, and if you're watching with your friends
and your friend sits there and tellsyou to cash out, that's don't be
a buzzkill friend, you know. That's that's the number one advice I'll gift
to you. Can you can helpyour friends make money by telling him to
cash out, But when you're sittingthere with a Harleigh riding on the Broncos
scoring on a fourth and goal situationwhere I could have made twenty bucks,
(33:05):
but if I win the bet,I win like hundreds. No, we
don't need the person in our earstelling us to cash out. See you
said something that you know, somethingto watch out for. If you have
a friend like that, that's abad negative friend. You get rid of
that friend. Yeah, there's there'syou know, for all those sports gamers
out there and then Live Bett andCraze that's out there cashing out is if
you're cashing out for a stupid lowamount of money where it's basically your your
(33:30):
bet plus like two more dollars, and then you reinvest it back into basically
the same bet, you're a crazyperson. I just want to tell you
that, Like they're not just thestart your phone. You're waiting for the
cash out. Like there's a differencewhen you're like, all right, they're
(33:52):
in control of this game, butsomething could happen on the next thing.
They're giving me a pretty decent payoutand then I'm gonna take my cat that's
still up from what I was gonnaget by a decent amount. Fine,
take the can when you can,or you know, in the fourth quarter
where there's like a minute left andit seems like it's sealed, but you
(34:12):
know there's still happened, take thecash out. I have no problem with
that, where it's like it's abig, you know, big fourth third
down play or all that. Ifyou had someone scream at you to cash
out for ten dollars, like whyare you even gambling? Like if you
literally are sitting there and just going, oh no, I can't lose my
(34:36):
ten dollars in a game that's handsof winning, Like, why do the
bet like the idea that I bet. Now at the end of the game,
I have my ten dollars back. This is not gambling. I just
I didn't really actually gamble then Ijust got my bet. I just basically
(34:58):
just it was a nurse. Ispent four hours doing basically nothing. I
lose money in a ban by,it's gambling. If we're worried always about
cashing out your initial small bet, then just just get off the apps,
or please, you know, callthe hotline. Please call the hot line.
(35:22):
Everything Kurt Warner's been telling us,you know, listen to Kurt Man.
Maybe it's just not for you. That's our My sports betting ran.
Yeah, Texans, I mean TankDell getting hurt and being out on ir
be back this season. They friend, it was a stupid play, you
(35:45):
got hurt in. But I meanthe Texans, I mean they're one of
the teams that, look, theycould be the surprise team the AFC that
I think can make it all.Like I think I'm not saying it's gonna
happen for but I was gonna say, who's your random like team that could
just surprise people on the ac Ihave Texans because their defense has been playing
(36:09):
better and CJ. Stroud looks likehe is a creator that can miss things
happen when given the chance at times. And I think Demika played as an
extraordinary young coach. And it's ateam that you know doesn't have anations,
right, So sometimes those are themost dangerous teams. And if CJ.
(36:31):
Stroud and company keep you know, playing at the high level they have games,
doesn't mending turnover, they're going tobe in it. And that's interesting
to see. And I mean therest of the teams that are gonna be
wild cards probably or I mean eventhe Jaguars right now, who's to say
(36:52):
that, you know, the Texansdon't have a better shot than all of
them combined. So we're proud Stroudboys here and we're really getting, you
know, into the nitty grid ofthe season. And you know, Texans
came up with a key victory againstanother team who's fighting for a wild card
birth left for dead, and theBroncos have looked pretty decent. Like again,
(37:15):
they don't look great, but donewhat they need to do. Wolveson's
limited the turnovers and the sacks thathe was taking here and the defense has
been aggressive lately and they've been capitalizingon the you know, it's just a
well managed team right now. It'snot a jug world beating team, but
(37:37):
it's one that's it's being managed andplaying to its strengths, and it's it's
a team that's playing smart football attimes. I would agree with that,
and we're seeing C. J.Stroud looked like Joe Burrow did twenty twenty
one season when he led the Bengalsto the Super Bowl. So if you're
saying that's like something they could do, you know, super Bowls, maybe
(37:59):
a stretch. But the same time, I wouldn't put it totally out of
the realm. We've seen the AFCflip itself on its head. I mean,
the Chiefs are still around, butthey're struggling right now. The Ravens
are playing pretty well, but theyalways have duds of games against bad teams.
The Dolphins are still a lot ofpeople would call him for odds because
they don't beat teams that are likeare elite, so anything can happen.
I'm impressed with Stroud. As yousaid, we're Stroud Boys here. It's
(38:21):
part of Stroud Boys, and we'retwo a none. That probably puts us
in the one percent of one percenters, and we'll keep it rolling see what
happens. Tampa Bay Buccaneers beat theCarolina Panthers twenty one to eight. Team.
This was a close game. ChubaHumbard had two touchdowns for Carolina.
I know Cecil and I both hadhim on different benches of fantasy. We're
pulling our hair out because of that. But Mike Evans seven catches, one
(38:42):
hundred and sixty two yards in onetouchdown. He has one thousand yards in
each of his first ten seasons inthe league, which is the only is
the first time any player has everdone that. He passes Jerry Rice's record
of the first nine seasons with theone thousand yards. A guy that you
may never say, hey, hewas the best receiver in the league,
but this long of great production hasto be noted, especially with all the
quarterbacks he's gone through with Jamis andTom Brady and now Baker Mayfield. Yeah,
(39:08):
I mean, Mike Evans is gonnabut it feels here where this rate
not be in the Hall of Famebased on the stats. But I think
there's there's, like you said, there's a couple of things working in his
(39:29):
favor. One, which is ahuge thing for just any player really that
has aspirations to getting records be inthe Hall of Fame. It's about longevity
and health. Playing pretty much fullseasons. He's been doing that. Which
two he's had Correx not necessarily alwaysthe best. You know, you had
(39:51):
Tom Brady there at the end ofhis career, but also he had guys
that are slinging the ball down fieldto him, and he does that.
Mike Evans is a deep ball guy. He's one of the best at it
in the end. When it happensin games, you know, he takes
advantage. And that's a big reasona thousand yards in every tet for his
(40:13):
first ten seasons is because he getsthose deep balls. He hits something at
least once or twice a game.He makes teams pay for not for not
doing more on that post on thoseroutes deep. So yeah, it's a
it's a curious case because I wouldn't. I don't think anyone puts Mike Evans
in the top five, you know, top ten receiver. You know,
(40:37):
there are a lot of kind oflike gone better because he was the possession
guy, was getting a lot ofmaking things happen, you know, more
with his quickness. But yeah,I mean it's a it's an accomplishment.
The third thing that I think wasgoing before him, and the reason why
it's like he's the first one todo it, is because, I mean,
Jerry Rice had nine. You lookat the NFL when Jerry Rice was
(40:59):
in the NFL, which was theeighties and early nineties, I mean,
people didn't throw the ball that much, you know that often like the West
Coast tip. So when we talkabout how structured now versus it was structured
thirty years ago, that's the passingattack, the willingness to just throw the
(41:24):
ball no matter what. Even ifthe running game is not working like some
team small pass game as an extensionof the run game, people are throwing
the ball. So I don't thinkhe's gonna be the first for a super
long time. I mean next year. But I don't think we're gonna wait,
you know, thirty years for thatrecord to be broken. I think
it's going to be more like probablywithin the next five years or so,
(41:46):
we'll have someone who gets, youknow, eleven straight thousand yard seasons.
It's very possible. It's a passhappy Lea. I mean, it's a
heck of accomplishment and good for him, but there's just with what the NFL
is now is this game and howyou know what he has done, but
(42:08):
a lot of stuff has to gothe right way for a receiver. A
lot of times you got to havethe right offensive stuff, you had the
right quarterback who's willing to throw itto you. But he took advantage of
every opportunity. So congrats to himas well. Absolutely, I think he'll
end up in Canton, but you'reright, there's a lot of things that
do have to go their way. There's you know, guys who rank in
the top five and receiving yards whohaven't always gotten in so well, make
(42:31):
sure to keep tracking that. Ijust think it's impressive what he's done and
hopefully can keep on doing it throughthe through the rest of the year this
year, as some of us areheavily invested in him for fantasy purposes.
But I digress. We'll move onto the Browns losing to the Rams.
The Rams win at thirty six tonineteen. Matthew Stafford looked pretty good three
touchdowns, poking aku one hundred andfive yards and one touchdown. And honestly,
(42:52):
I mean we talk about Joe Flaccofor the Browns last week, and
he played pretty well. I mean, I think the Browns can make the
playoffs and Joe flacko quarterback and thatis just I feel like I'm talking out
of Bizario world. Here sees thegame I want to bring into the bizarre
world. We'll talk about later inour recaps, but yeah, it is
(43:15):
kind of her world. See JoeFlacco just straight up not even on a
team, just like straight up outand starts playing for the new Browns basically,
you know, so I guess it'sreally not one Browns organization to the
other. But yeah, I meanhe just came in and you know,
(43:36):
he would throw the ball down field, which is a lot more than some
of the guys have been doing. You know, you got some lots and
help the press, like in asuite somewhere. I'm not sure why got
on the field, That's a bigquestion. You know, other injury ques
usually with the headset on communicating withpeople. I don't know the hell,
(44:00):
but pretty much, I mean, good for him, and I'll tell you
this focus on the Rams a littlemore. Huknakua is not like elite in
any way, but he just isall around a good and like a good
football player. And I think theguys where it's just like, are these
(44:21):
guys great? I mean no,not, They're just good and they're just
all around good at what they cando, and the teams are able to
use that to their advantage. They'rereliable, and it got the speak.
There's nothing elite in his profile orhis athletic testing as people like to use
(44:44):
these days. He's just an allround guy who's smart with the football,
gets knows what to run, andyou know his quarterback trusts him and it
plays off in this game. Also, Rams look like a complete different team
when Kenn Williams is on the fieldgetting the ball. So I don't know
what's a make of it. Idon't know. You know, again,
do the Rams make the playoffs?I don't know. But if they keep
(45:07):
playing like field, they aren't gonnathey make the playoffs. And they keep
playing if that happens, because thereare not a lot of teams right now.
They're having the run and I don'tthink that anybody's really gonna be necessarily
(45:30):
ready for that time file football necessarilyfans, so we'll see. I mean
to be determined with the uptill battle, but I mean, it's it's crazy
how different they look from game togame. This year. They're starting to
string some stuff together and they beatTalks. Now they beat the Browns,
(45:51):
and beating teams are gonna, youknow, possibly be in the playoffs.
So I mean that their team tolook out for, especially in that wildcard
round when you're playing them. Idefinitely look out for him. I think
they're a team that's inconsistent, butif they are on one of their good
weeks, they could definitely pull upan upset and it gets something done.
One of the team. One ofthe games we were expected or expected to
(46:12):
be really good in this week wasthe forty nine Ers and Eagles. It
did ended up being a good game. The forty nine Ers blew them out
forty two to nineteen. We wereboth on this one in terms of our
picks to win and cover for theforty nine ers, and noted how we
kind of noted how the Eagles justhad so many so much sloppy play,
we'll say, in all their wins, even though they're winning games, sloppy
play that could be exploited. Andthe forty nine Ers is having that nice
(46:34):
balanced roster really won out three hundredfourteen yards passing for Rock Party four touchdowns.
Steebo Samuel had two of those ChristianMcCaffrey restaurants for ninety three yards and
a touchdown. I think this mightgo differently if they played again in the
playoffs, But for right now, forty nine ers are the best team in
the league, and I don't thinkthere's anyone who can really have a huge
argument against that. No, Idon't think so either. I mean,
(46:57):
you look at the body of workwho they've beat, not just beating,
I mean we talked about the topthrees three teams the NFC. They crush
the Cowboys, and they crush theEagles. That's and every other team is
lost to those teams basically, Sothey're not just against the best teams in
the NFL, they're they're destroying themhandedly. When this team's healthy, which
(47:20):
they are now, don't look beatable. The only way it looks like they've
been beatable is when they have andyou know, every possession counts. That's
where they seem to struggle when they'redown, really have that many opportunities to
be down because they are such agood team. That is the one way.
(47:43):
Basically, if you're a team theplayoffs playing them, or you get
the Super Bowl and them, youmight be the team that want we want
the ball first. We're gonna tryhave the really well set up, you
know, your first ten players, try to get and put in the moreon
(48:04):
and ers offense, and just keeptrying to score because if you can get
out ahead, it'll morph this team. We saw it in the Bengals game.
We saw it's a different game whenthose guys are you know, obviously
people were hurt, but it's adifferent game when they can't basically just run,
(48:25):
be aggressive, run all these gadgetplays that just wear teams down.
They have to score points. AndI mean another team being right now,
but if this is the NFC Championshipgame against the Eagles or the Cowboys,
you know, closer been in astretch of the regular season where they play
(48:52):
just tough team, tough team, and I think they're not a very healthy
roster right now. I think, you know, if they I mean there's
a chance they could still get thefirst round by I think of all the
top seeded teams, you know, and the forty nine Ers and the Eagles
are the ones that need to buythe most because they are a team that
(49:13):
just needs to, you know, heal a little bit. The guys there's
not a lot of guys has sire, but I mean in lingering injury.
Channon Hurts isn't one hundred percent, you know, Jason Kelsey isn't lank Johnson
has been hurt just just a littlebit. Everyone and their defensive line is
decimated. So there's a rematch whatit looks like big game for Philly this
(49:38):
week with Dallas. But yeah,I mean the forty Niners are the team
to beat right now. I thinkso as well. We'll see how it
goes this next week. We havethe game we talked about earlier that we're
gonna pick forty nine or Seahawks. We'll see where we sit on that one
and see maybe if anyone can tripup the forty nine Ers on the way
to a Super Bowl run. Probablysomething if ball seas we had the Packers
(50:00):
beating the Chiefs twenty seven to nineteen, did not see this one coming.
The Packers have put something together thelast couple of weeks. Here Jordan Love
looks like he's doing a lot bettertwo hundred and sixty seven yards, three
touchdowns. I mean, he's madesome throws that make me think he could
be a franchise quarterback. Whereas earlierin the season, I was thinking,
okay, they might Packers may havenot a bad quarterback for once. I
(50:21):
don't know. So they look prettygood. The Chiefs are still struggling on
offense, only scoring nineteen points againsta Joe Berry defense. Who you know,
Packers has some talent, but thedefensive coordinator doesn't always set up their
defense to have the best success. That's concerning to me for the Chiefs and
the Packers making a little run forthe NFC playoffs. Possibly, Yeah,
(50:44):
the Packers are now back in thehunt. They're very much alive for the
playoffs at this point. You know, they get a key victory against the
Chiefs team that now is just gettingthe benefit of doubt from me and you
know, pretty much everybody out therebecause it's Patrick Mahomes. But I mean,
their receivers just don't They're not open, They're not really making plays.
(51:07):
Travis Kelsey can only do so much. He's you know, he's not the
youngest guy. But also he's notlike the fastest. He's a possession guy,
and I mean team on him, like there's just about us scaling can't
catch the ball half the time, and he's their deep threat. It's just
a lot of they just don't havea receiver and they haven't taken one,
(51:28):
and I think it's it's really causingthem to struggle a little bit more.
Key injuries, you know, duringsecond in this game that will really,
you know, unfortunate. That's thebig reason why they ended up. Guys,
we're out all kind of deep ballsand things up through the middle of
(51:49):
the field. Kind of happened todo those injuries. But at the same
time, I mean, it's justsuch a different sheets team than we're used
to seeing. We're used to seeinga team that they could be about fourteen
points and it'll be four minutes left. You just go, this game's you
know that no matter what happened, like you would have to get like a
fourth, Like even at the beginningof the season, right they went four
(52:12):
to all a fourth and twenty five, Like that's the feeling that this team
used to have with it. Buta lot of the talent just hasn't hasn't
stuck around on offense, Tyreek Hillthey traded away. You know, Orlando
Brown, you know, was abetter laught tackle for him. He's you
know with the Bengals now, andyou know Donovan Smith's aging and now is
(52:34):
a little hurt. You know, they let Acolie even go to Jacksonville for
us. I mean, there's justit's a weird shuckling in the team and
it's something you have to do whenyou have such a huge quarterback. Andrews
are hit him at the wrong time. I think they're getting beat up as
(52:54):
well. You need to get healthy. And Pat Mahomes, I don't know
what he needs to do, whathim and Andy Reid need to say these
but I mean they they need toget I mean this offseason, they need
to get a receiver, Like there'sgot to be some veteran guy out there
that wants to play for the Chiefsto win a Super Bowl, like he's
(53:15):
because trying to work make it workwith these young guys plus Travis Kelsey is
just not happening right now. Andit could just be what happens in the
playoffs. Like it's not the passingthat's causing this offense to runs really great
for them. Now, it's justpack Mahomes just making legs either getting the
(53:37):
first down ors buying the time toget you know, a short pletion rout
to convert you know, and movethe chain the downfield deep passing. We
are, you know, always afraidof what Pat Mahomes and this offense just
doesn't seem to exist anymore. Yeah, I'm with you. I do think
that they should maybe focus on runningthe ball. They average five point nine
(53:59):
yards per carry in this game,Isaiah Pacheco after six point one of them,
per Kerry, that's pretty good.I know you have Patrick Mahomes and
want to use them, but youcould set up the run to set up
Patrick Mahomes a little bit better too, where she Rice has been a godsend
for them mid round pick out ofSMU eight catches for sixty four yards.
He's the only receiver doing anything.Everyone else is doing nothing. So it's
(54:21):
very tough for this offense to haveTravis Kelcey the best tight end. We
know that. But then you haveone pretty solid receiver, not a number
one, probably not a number twoon a lot of teams, but very
good for a rookie or she Rice. And then a bunch of guys that
aren't doing nothing, so they've They'vemissed on some picks like sky Moore.
It's just it doesn't look all thatgood for the receiving corp. You're right,
(54:44):
they need to figure it out beforethe playoffs. Sign someone off the
street. I don't care who itis. Sign someone out of retirement.
That's something they need to look intobecause this offense has been not what there
usually are at this point of theyear, and that's concerning to me heading
into the last couple of weeks ofthe regular season. The last game will
recap seas Monday Night Football. Didnot really think this was gonna be a
fun game for the Bengals, butthey proved me wrong. The Jaguars go
(55:07):
up early and then the Bengals fightback and Joe Mixon has two touchdowns at
the end or excuse me, Inear the end of the game. It
was, you know, Tyler Boydthrowing an interception to Josh Allen and then
the Jaguars score and go up twentyeight to twenty one. I'm thinking,
all right, this game's over. The Jaguars will start piling on I believe
(55:28):
that was in the third quarter.Didn't end up happening. The Bengals fought
back and then they took the leadthirty one to twenty eight on an Evan
McPherson field goal where he didn't evenknow he made it. He thought he
missed it. And then they goto overtime. It was at that point
Trevor Lawrence had gone down with injury, so it was CJ. Bethard versus
Jake Browning. Jake Browning sets upa game winning field goal walk off for
re Evan McPherson. The Bengals areundefeated in those all white uniforms. That's
(55:52):
the only thing I could think ofhow the Bengals actually won this game season.
It was crazy, Yeah, Imean what a what a game?
Like? Like nobody expecting that goingto Monday Night. I mean, it's
it was bizarre world. It wasthe Bizarro Bengals, And honestly, it
(56:13):
was like Bizarro Borrow. It's likea you know, straight up Bizarro from
you know, the DC comics forSuperman. I mean, he's even got
the flip nine his numbers of sixand they have the same initials somehow.
Yeah, It's it was Bizarro timefor the Bengals today. In the passing
attack, lots of completions, alot of attempts. It seems like two
(56:37):
things. It's I really don't knowhow to explain it. I think it's
a little bit of the offense isbecause I mean the offense letting personnel Sean
McVay, that's what you know beforeyou know before me is that showing this
(56:59):
coach stuff which used to Burrow gotthere. Burrow likes more empty, you
know, more spread the field thissystem. So I don't know if it's
a little bit of they can kindof run more their scheme now playing and
then more comfortable running, and that'swhy the offense kind of flowed better.
(57:22):
But they were you know, thetrick play. Those both I don't necessarily
think there's something wrong with running atrick play, but or it didn't work,
and I think you know when youpractice them, I don't think.
I don't know what went through realitywas, especially on that one. You
just just chuck it or just startrunning forward because that weird. I'm gonna
(57:45):
throw it like across my body acrossthe field like that, where their bodies
just had bad decision making, Sothat play they shouldn't do. They try
to be tricky with the mar Chaserunning, which I kind of liked that
they're trying stuff. But by endthe game, Jake Brown didn't looked like
(58:06):
he needed that extra stuff. Hewas just completing passes down the field.
You know, there was one hewasn't doing a lot of deep stuff ultimately,
but it was a lot of justtaken what the defense was given him.
You know, they didn't adjust verywell. Jamar Chase got left pretty
much single coverage and he just beathis man, you know, ten yards
(58:27):
downfield and was off of the raceson that big, you know, receiving
teacher touchdown he had. I thinkhis being back helps as well. I
think his Bengals roster is is prettyroster that it was built to try to
make a Super Bowl, wrung withJoe Burrows, so it's not like they
just disappeared. I think a lotof those guys have been hurt and He's
(58:50):
barely played. Is that were keyplayers on this team that are just not
been there all bad. You know, can tell Brett was out in this
one, but Chatobia wuz kind ofstepped up this game, where you know,
there's a lot of pieces this teamthat are doing well. I think
(59:12):
they got to motivated, counted themout. It's hard not to count somebody
quarterback who's a top three guy inthe league. I mean, that's that's
a hole of the locker room cultureright there. I mean, I'll give
zack to her that. I think, you know, they motivated, they
(59:34):
together and try to put a gameplan together. This Browning that he felt
comfortable with and he felt he couldyou know, do and I think you
know, he breaks like that onebig passing touchdown, seat balls everywhere,
and they were there's some weird stuffgoing on, like the two fall starts
in a row. He in theyou know, fourth quarter where he's just
(59:58):
well, I don't s I thinkit's nerves, and I think Jake Browning
hasn't play a lot of football inyears. I just really don't know what
to make of it other than Ithink the Bengals team fought really hard.
I think the coaches I've done agood job of building that culture, which
I think is the number one thing. You know, you and I have
talked about and I've had problems withtime and time against from a scheme standpoint,
(01:00:22):
but when you put together these guysand they show fight like that in
a prime game, where everyone kindof was, you know, away,
and they are able to do so. I mean, the Bengals haven't want
a primetime Monday night game since nineteenninety and they won one despite everything.
Are the Bengals gonna win the SuperBowl now or even gonna make the playoffs?
(01:00:42):
Probably not, But I mean keepplaying like that and Jake Browning keeps
playing smart football and not you know, doing dumb things, and you know,
they kind of eliminate some of thesedumb trick plays. They've got a
roster that can get you some winsevery once, got a guy outlet.
(01:01:02):
But I mean there's a lot ofteams that just aren't playing. You know,
we're going so, I mean, the NFL seems like really happened in
the beginning week out with a lotof teams right now. There are teams
that you know, they're not gonnabe favored to win pretty much any of
these games. But I mean, they come out like this, It's hard
to really say what's gonna happen withthem. But good for the coach players
(01:01:30):
in the locker room to not justgive up as much as you know,
tanking might be the better solution, you know, if they're gonna come out
and fight like that and play welland you know, play for each other.
You know, high draft pick. That that's fine. That that shows
me that that's a cultural thing, and that culture could be a big thing,
and that helps this team get througha deep postseason in the future.
(01:01:52):
You know, you look at theSteelers, why are they good every year?
It's it's a cultural thing. Youknow, They're not they they're not
gonna just lose like they don't chooselosing every game. They no matter what
people say is gonna happen. They'regonna fight and they're gonna try to win.
And it's a culture. So knowwhat happened with them there again became
(01:02:14):
very wildly inconsistent. Tyl Lawrence getshurt deep, you know deep late in
this game, and you know thatthat's hard to say what would have happened
if he was on the field. But the Jaguars led the Banngals team whoevery
reason in the game. They ledplayed jamar Chise, which is probably just
the one thing you can't do tothis offense. They gave the Bengals capitalized
(01:02:38):
with the win. Absolutely, you'reright, it is a catch twenty two
situation. The team wants to win, you don't necessarily want to be a
fan cheering against them, but itdoes hurt their draft status. They went
from possibly being like the ninth overallpick to the seventeenth just with that one
game. That's how the hats outhow competitive the NFL has been this year.
(01:02:59):
We see what happens. You knowlater on they still can get a
very good player at seventeen. Idon't know if this is just a one
night magical performance from Jake Browning orit could be something that goes along.
It does seem like they're tailoring theoffense to suit his talents, and we
can see if that keeps up.All right, So let's go to our
Week fourteen picks cecil. The firstgame of the week is a doozy.
(01:03:21):
We have the New England Patriots atthe Pittsburgh Steelers. The Steelers are favored
by six and the over under forthis game is thirty and a half points,
which is a pretty low for anNFL game. One of these that
you can skip if you have adate night. But I'm gonna be watching
because it'll be so fun watching themscore zero points in this game. No,
absolutely, I almost literally sat thereSunday morning, and when I think
(01:03:45):
I might do, especially the weatherand all, like just Patriots char Dreame,
I didn't go through with it.That was a stupid decision not to
do because to the hell ones,I might do it for this one.
This might be a good one tobet some unders. This might be a
good one to just for the heckof it, throw in if you can
(01:04:05):
get the Steelers anytime defensive touchdown. This might be a good game to just
kind of throw a little money onthat because it'll still be high odds what
so you and I will be watchingit. I mean, I'm gonna pick
the Steelers to win and cover justbecause I mean, offense is non existent
(01:04:27):
and Steers defense is good and misChervinsky and company can get ten points,
and I think, I mean,we can be looking at a ten to
three game, honestly, thirteen tothree, thirteen to seven. I mean,
we're looking at game that's not goingto really be close. It'll just
look closer because they'll always be likewithin a possession pretty much, or a
two possession game at the mass often points. So it'll be close by
(01:04:51):
scoreboards, but the flow of thegame. The Patriots aren't gonna be able
to move the ball. I'm goingSteelers to but Patriots with the points cease.
Reason being the Patriots over like thisthe month of November. You have
to think the fewest points almost inthe last several years. Think you have
six points to the Chargers, whichyou mentioned, ten points to the Giants,
(01:05:13):
and ten points to the Colts. That's just that's crazy. They can
play these teams, and some ofthem have good offense, like the Chargers,
some of them, you know,Tommy Devideou Giants up and down and
everything. But the Steelers are inthe same position. So I think they
can hold them to a small numberof points. And I think that just
if you're gonna give me a sixpoint spread, maybe the Steelers win ten
(01:05:33):
to seven. You know, maybemaybe it's nine to six. I don't
know. I just I think theycan keep it close. I'm gonna trust
that the Patriots defense and just thefact that the Steelers will be having a
backup quarterback in the game. SoSteelers win outright, but Patriots with the
points. The Los Angeles Rams goto Baltimore to take on the Ravens.
Ravens are favored by seven sees RamsRavens win. I'm gonna that's right now.
(01:06:03):
I think they're playing hard. Ithink they've been playing pretty good football
the last couple of weeks. Ijust think they're just a little the town
gaps a little. But I meana touchdown is right there. Tease that
up to seven and a half tojust give yourself the avoid the push or
you know, take the push ifyou want. But I think, yeah,
(01:06:25):
it's gonna be. I think it'sgonna be within a touchdown. I
think it won't be a means andI think if the Rams are able to
kind of dominate, that'll be harderfor the Ravens when it comes rushing things,
because I mean, ultimately they're pastrushing team, and I think that's
harder to do when you've got tokind of account for a running back trying
(01:06:47):
to wrap the gut at you allthe time. Definitely, I'm going to
Ravens to win. To cover, though they have a couple of benefits here.
They're all coming off of bye week, the Rams are traveling across the
country in this one. I thinkthe Rams have been too inconsistent this year.
The Ravens know they have to playtough. If they want a number
one seed, very wide open betweenthem and the Dolphins right now, it
looks like I think that with thatweek of rest and get things more settled.
(01:07:10):
There a team that's had a lotof injuries this year, so I
think that helps them. Getting anotherweek of rest this late in the season,
they can get some guys fresher, and I think Lamar Jackson's having a
pretty good year. So I thinkI'll take the Ravens to win and cover
this one. Detroit Lions at theChicago Bears, the Lions of everybody three
on the road. Yeah, I'mgonna go Lions to win and cover.
(01:07:32):
Though they haven't been playing well asof late, I don't think what happened
last they're gonna be much more preparedfor a lot for the Bears this time
around. I think the answers.I think Dan Campbell's just gotta no,
just just get the team ready.I don't know what emotional speech he's got
(01:07:56):
to give or you know, theyare more came in Soldier field, you
know, just beat all down totackle Jared Goff just just don't get down
like he did in the last game. Yeah, i think I'm going line
someone and cover two. The Bearsdefense is much improved ever since they got
(01:08:17):
Montest sweat and everything. But Ithink they'll be able to protect Jared Goff
and if once they get the lead, I think they're going to be more
focused on finishing the game. DanCampbell, I'm sure it's gonna be huge
for them to be able to runthe ball. Hopefully you Stamir Gibbs a
little bit more. He had eightcarries for sixty yards last last week.
Like, if he has that manyyards per carry, give him the ball
some more. So Lions win andcover Tampa Bay Buccaneers at the Atlanta Falcons.
(01:08:42):
The Falcons are favored by two anda half. I'm gonna go so
Falcons, don't. I just like, I don't know what it is about
the Buccaneers, but middling teams,I think Baker Mayfield can kind of get
(01:09:06):
them in a position to win thegame. And I think, like we've
talked about, like I talk aboutalmost every week, it's the same basic
strategy for the Buccaneers offense. Ithink they're going to do a little better
against the run in this game thanthey did against the Panthers. You know,
if Arthur Smith completely commits to Bijonand the offensive weapons this game.
(01:09:28):
But I so I'm going to gowith the Buccaneers, who are going to
let their quarterback just try to getwhere. I like the Bucks here in
the upset, I did too, have the Bucks on this one mentioned how
much Arthur Smith has created pains forfantasy managers everywhere with how he's handled things.
But you know he needs to usehis players more. Their only touchdown
(01:09:49):
last week was to Mike kel Prewett. Michael Prewitt. That's not the greatest
thing when you have a guy likeJon Robinson still sitting there with three touchdowns
on the year. But I dolike the Buccaneers. Baker Mayfield has just
been targeting Mike Evans heavily. Ithink there's a matchup problem there that they
could exploit. And they're a teamthat again I mentioned a couple weeks ago.
(01:10:09):
They're two and four away, right, But like they have a lot
of losses, just some very goodteams this year. There's something that you
may be like, Okay, wellthey lost to the Colts, but the
Colts are in the AFC playoff picture. They lost to I mean the Colts,
forty nine ers, Texans Bills,Falcons, which you know, divisional
game, Lions and Eagles. Alot of their losses are kind of like
understandable of why they did it.I think they go into this one,
(01:10:31):
win the game, shake things upin the or the NFC South rather and
tie for the lead in that division. All right. Indianapolis Colts at the
Cincinnati Bengals. The Colts are favoredby one on the road. Yeah,
this one's I don't again, it'sI'll tell you this as a Bengals fan,
(01:10:55):
being someone who has like a thingof every kind of it's really helped
with my stress levels, you know, my best it's you know, it's
it's kind of a weird vibe whenyou're a Bengals fan. You know,
I was watching this buddy night game, and you know, I got into
it and I was cheering, butlike, you know, just the level
(01:11:15):
of anger I have after every stakewas lesson because of the people that were
starting quarterback. But you know, they they've given me a little hope.
Let them. I'm gonna pick theColts here to win and cover the one
point spread. I think, youknow, Jake Brown have that one game,
(01:11:39):
it's not enough to really that's howthe season. You know, He's
seen a lot of backups have likethese crazy games, especially when nobody's preparing
for it. I think the Coatsreally good and I think they get turnovers,
which is I think something that Jakeover the ball once or twice,
(01:12:00):
and that could be what causes thisgame. Also, hopefully should be back
and Zactly be there. I thinkthey're on the tingles throats and wear them
down and kind of just gritty kindof game. And yeah, I gotta
pick, you know, just theanalytics here. As much as I like
what I saw from the Bengals lastgame, how consistent, how much are
(01:12:23):
we going to see that all?But right now I got to pick them.
Pick the Colts to win, andcover Colts to win a cover for
me too, been a better teamthis season. I think they will run
the football, like you said, wear down the Bengals defense, which did
show better tackling on Monday Night Football, surprisingly, but now they're coming on
a short week. I don't knowhow that's gonna affect them. Colts have
an extra day to prepare. Ithink Zach Moss has a pretty big day
(01:12:45):
and we just have to see ifthis is one game Fluke for Jake Browning
or if it's something he can sustain, this will be a good game for
him to try to prove it.But I'm gonna take the Colts because I
think that's a smart pick with whatwe know now. Carolina Panthers at the
New Orleans Saints. Saints server byfive and a half at home. Yeah,
give me the Saints at home.Yeah, you know what I'm doing.
(01:13:11):
The spread worries me a little bit, but then I realize it's the
Panthers. I've been half a Imean, the Saints love kicking field goals,
so I think they might be nota touchdown. Everyone thinks, oh,
the one by a touchdown. NowI'm thinking it's gonna be a two
field goals is how they cover thisspread. So give me the Saints to
win and cover. It's in thisyou know, Mercedes super Dome. Everybody
(01:13:34):
wants to, you know, bethere, you know, very loud,
big crowd for the Saints. SoI'm gonna pick that Christine that you know,
giving Chella Hunt the ball. Greatfor us. If they want to
keep doing that, that's great. You know. I like when coach and
just go. I'm done with thebackfield committee I'm picking the guys. The
(01:13:57):
guy in your fantasy roster. Ifyou're a Milesers, guy who a lot
of people draft him high, andneither of us were it, there's were
gonna be. I am sorry foryou, and I'm just sorry for Vile
Sanders in general, because it seemslike he's just kind of getting the bad
end of it in his NFL careerso far, with between just being a
(01:14:18):
timeshare with the Eagles and now hewent to a Carolina team that it doesn't
have much poor guy. Yeah, definitely, it's tough to be running back
these days. There's always time sharesand guys not getting paid. So we
were with running backs. We'll stickwith running backs. We are a Derek
(01:14:39):
Henry should have won the MVP whenhe rested two thousand yards podcast for sure.
So anyway, though, I'm goingto Saints to win and cover.
You're right, the spread scares mewith how they're playing, but they are
playing the Panthers. The Panthers,They're one win on the season was at
home. This one's on the roadin a tough environment. The Saints have
the talent on the roster to coverthis spread and probably went by about two
(01:15:00):
touchdowns against a team like the Panthers. They need Derek Carr to stop being
captain checked down as much as ithelps me in fantasy football. They can
throw the ball downfield. They needdefense to step up a little bit,
and they can win this one andcover. I think they can get the
job done. They honestly don't haveany other choice. Because they lose this
game, it really makes it toughto make a push for the playoffs.
This is one they got to have. I think they'll be focused and ready
to go next game. Jacksonville Jaguarsat the Cleveland Browns. Now, this
(01:15:25):
line started more towards an even matchup. It was one and a half this
morning, cease, and that's afterthe Trevor Lawrence injury. Now it's the
Browns favored by three points. Okay, this is stay away from CJ.
They said Trevor Lawrence isn't playing thisweek. I've heard they. They said
(01:15:51):
they're not sure at this point.Right, Yes, they said they're not
sure, But I don't know.I don't know. This is a stay
away from until we know more aboutwhat's going on with the quarterback. Even
then, I'll pick the I'll pickthe Browns to win, and I'll just
(01:16:15):
hedge my bet and put take theJacksonville Jaguars for three points because I don't
know what to say with either ofthese teams right now, So I'm just
gonna Browns. Joe Flacco showed enough, but it doesn't show me enough that
they're gonna win this game by morethan a field goal. So I'm gonna
head to my bet with the Jaguars. Yeah, I'm going Browns to win.
(01:16:36):
I had Browns to win at oneand a half in my picks against
the Spread article earlier today on theGameHouse dot com. But I think the
three is tough because I do thinkCJ. Bethord can maybe keep this somewhat
close. I'll say Browns winning coverto you. I guess it's just it's
a tough spread. It's tough toknow how Joe Flacco will be a second
week. I don't know. IfI were the Jaguars, I would hold
(01:16:59):
Trevor Lawrence out for the next coupleof weeks here, save them for You
know, if you send him outfor the Browns game and then they play
the Ravens, you avoid some ofthe tougher defenses. Put him back in
the lineup for the Buccaneers, Panthers, and Titans. Get him ready for
the playoffs. You already have apretty good spot for the AFC playoffs at
this point, so sitting them fora week or two against these good defenses
where you could take some hits mightnot be the worst strategy. Next game
(01:17:20):
we have, Cecil is the HoustonTexans at the New York Jets. Texans
favored by six and a half.We don't know what the excuse me,
Houston favored by five and a half. We don't know what the Jets quarterback
situation looks like still today and it'sI mean it's Tuesday, so who knows.
With that being said, I'm gonnago Houston to win. I'm gonna
(01:17:41):
take I'm gonna take the points withthe Jets right now, just because it's
their defense. CJ. Stroud's rookiequarterback man, and I think there could
be some turnovers. I think thisis gonna be a great test tan to
see war. CJ. Stroud is, as we kind of talk about a
playoff push that bed, there's someweird stuff that seems to happen in these
games with the Jets. Five. You know, if it was if it
(01:18:08):
was quote, I'm just worried it'stoo high a spread because the defense may
cause some maybe you're something crazy willhappen. I'll mess spread completely. So
give me the Texans to win.If you're a smart man out there,
you're gonna bet the text line andtry not to screw with the point because
it's it's kind of a variable withthe way the Jets defense plays. Yeah,
(01:18:32):
I'll go. I'll go Texans winand cover. I just don't know
how they're gonna score points if theydon't know who the quarterback is. Is
it Zach Wilson? Is it?Is it Trevor Simeon. This is a
terrible offense and it's not just thequarterbacks fault. The offensive line is an
issue. Uh, they have acouple like I mean the Garrett Wilson's a
(01:18:53):
good receiver, but who else dothey have? I mean, we talked
about all off these aln Bazard,is he good? Randall Cobb, you
know all these guys that you thoughtwould be good and just aren't. Aren't
that great? And even Dalvin Cooksdeclined too at running back. I think
the Texans can do it. Ithink they can go on the road win
this one. They need to stayfocused. They can stay alive in that
AFC South with a win, andif they cover, that'd be great too.
(01:19:14):
Sunday evening games cease. We haveSeattle Seahawks at the San Francisco forty
nine Ers. The forty nine ersI favored by ten and a half.
Ruth Anders playing the Seahawks. Seahawks, holy crap for to win. I
(01:19:36):
that line is always scary as hell, but you know what the forty nine
ers are run. I'm gonna rollwith it. I wouldn't necessarily jump with
the opportunity to bet that line, but if you know we're picking them as
they are, the Vegas has giventhem to me, I'll take it.
I'll be able to sleep with it. It's one of those you know,
(01:20:00):
you get above ten points, you'rejust suddenly, you know, open yourself
up to back door covers and stufflike that that can just start. The
Seahawks played better last week, butas a forty nine ers team, you
know, I'm talking hard to itas I talked about it. Give me
the forty nine ers to win cover. There you go. I'm going to
go the forty nine ers to win. But Seahawks with the points. They
(01:20:21):
had extra time to prepare for thisgame. They played on Thursday against the
Cowboys last week. I think theSeahawks are getting into more desperation mode.
They've lost the last couple of games. They know they need to get a
win. I don't know if there'llbe enough to get to win. I'm
obviously taking forty nine ers, youknow, outright, but the Seahawks I
think can give them a good fightand keep it maybe to ten points spread.
(01:20:41):
The Seahawks are a team that Ithink will need to make try to
make this push to make the playoffs. In the San Francisco forty nine Ers.
They they've played really well the lastseveral weeks. But I and they've
won every game by more than tenpoints. I just think that has to
end at some point, Like,I can't see this keep on going the
way has the closest margin to victorythey've had is thirteen points, which came
(01:21:02):
against the Buccaneers since their bye week. It's just it can't keep on going
on. It's just it's too it'stoo crazy. So good for them for
playing that well. I guess that'sthat's the good news. Minnesota Vikings.
They're not at Yeah, Minnesota Vikingsat the Las Vegas Raiders. The Minnesota
Vikings are favored by three points onthe road. All right, let's see
(01:21:26):
here, Vikings welcome back from thebye week. Three and a half points
on the road. I mean,be an interesting one. It's the race,
I mean Las Vegas. It's ait's a dome situation, so you
have to take that into account here. I mean, I'm gonna just say
(01:21:51):
Vikings, we'll see where Josh Obbsand my offense lost aftercon practicing, after
he's kind of just been thet Imean, their past defense does again,
and you know it'll be interesting. The Raiders also had their buye, I
(01:22:14):
believe, so it'll be interesting forboth these teams off the buy to see
what they bring the table. ButI think just the Vikings have thrown together
more wins, so I'll give theVikings to win and cover. But it's
a fall enough spread for my taste. Yeah, I'm going Raiders to win
this one. They're at home comingoff of buye as well. I think
they've been playing tougher since Antonio Piercetook over as head coach. Doesn't mean
(01:22:38):
they're perfect they've they've lost the game. But the Vikings have those quarterback issues
where they don't know who they're goingto start. Makes me kind of wonder
does that instill faith? And thenthe quarterback you put in there, is
it more of a quick pool situationthat he does something wrong. I don't
know. I'll just I'll take theRaiders. I think they'll focus on running
the ball and getting the ball tothe bante Adams and that could be enough
to get the win. Buffalo Bill'sat Kansas City Chiefs Chiefs Every Boy two
(01:23:00):
and a half season. One ofthe games that we thought could be one
of the best of the NFL season, but looking like, yeah, ten
and a half for Chiefs Bills twoand a half two aut I I said
ten. Sorry, so we havea little audio difficulty, but it's okay,
(01:23:24):
you know what I mean. I'mgonna pick the Bills. I think
they've been better football. I thinkthe Chiefs had gotten a little hurt,
and I mean, the only thingthe X factor here is but Isaiah check
out all if they can. Ithink they win this game. They keep
(01:23:45):
their playoff hosts alive. So Ithink the desperation's key for this. You
know very still pissed one. Youknow, they feel like between them and
the Bengal, the Chiefs and Bengalshave just ruined their lives, which I
don't think is necessarily the fairest thing. I think it's just the reality of
the teams beat them and their teamis a weird not always the best way.
(01:24:12):
So give me the Bills and thedesperation game. They're kind of in
a must win mode. Chiefs arekind of in a weird place right now.
So I'll take the Bills with theupset. I'll take Chiefs to win
and cover. Personally, I thinkthey can get this, get things right
quicker than many people expect. They'recoming home in this one. I think
they'll focus maybe on running the balla little bit more in this game.
(01:24:33):
But I also think there's motivation forthe Chiefs here. You can make it
nine to four. You can stayin play for maybe a number one overall
seed because their schedule is not thetoughest down the stretch. But also you
can have a chance to knock theBills out of the playoff spot right now
and they'll have to work their wayback into it. Tough place to play
at Arrowhead. I think they canwin and cover this one. Next game
(01:24:56):
up, we have Denver Broncos atthe Los Angeles Chargers. Chargers are favored
by three points. You know,I'm gonna go with the Browncoes upset here
because I don't trust the Chargers atall. Honestly, God, I think
it's just too little, too latefor them. Like I said, I
(01:25:19):
think the Broncos are managing well, and I think that'll just be enough to
eke out the wit. Basically,it's a it's gonna be close. I
just I have zero to the Chargersright now. I don't blame you for
that season. I'm gonna go Chargersto win and cover. I just believe
(01:25:39):
in the talent some reason. Still, I don't know. The Broncos hot
streak is over. I feel likethis team should be able to win this
game. They're coming back. Herbert'shad a chance to heal up over a
couple of weeks, hopefully over acouple of weeks. He's played through it.
But I think they can win andcover their at home. It's ana
be nicer weather. Keenan All willbe utilized more heavily in this game.
(01:26:00):
I'll take them to win a coverI'm not too confident either way you go
in this one. This is theone where I would stay away from gambling,
to be honest, absolutely, Ilike just it's just two teams that
are inconsistent, and you got onewho has all the talent, but they
don't have another team who's played abovetheir talent level so far. And yeah,
you're just in for a weird game. So just I don't bet it.
(01:26:21):
Like there's a better games that thisweekend. Yeah, okay, We'll
move on to Sunday night football andis one of the best of the season.
We have the Philadelphia Eagles at theDallas Cowboys. The Cowboys are every
boy three and a half points cease, how about them Cowboys? You know
(01:26:43):
theseas have each lose on the roadto each other the last season. Cowboys
are in a good place. Ithink the Cowboys have everything to gain.
The Eagles have everything to lose.I think the Eagles are getting beat up.
Like he's what you just I talkedabout. They're on the schedule so
(01:27:04):
far. You know, the Cowboyshave gotten extra rest this week. You
know they played on Thursday night. That extra rest is definitely gonna play into
account. Eagles. Are you know, just a physical team that just grades
on you like that. That's gonnahave a lot of effect on your body.
So I think the Cowboys at homeare gonna win and cover. This
(01:27:27):
one spreads in a really good spot. It's gonna be a good game.
But ultimately, I just I likethe Cowboys to pull it out and this
will definitely be one I'm putting someprop bets on them, you know.
I think there's gonna be some offensehere and it's gonna be an exciting Sunday
night game to watch. I'm excitedto I'm going Cowboys to win. Dak
actually has done a very good jobof beating the Eagles historically. Uh.
(01:27:50):
I think he's on fire right now. Their schedule get still tough down the
stretch. They still have games withlike the Dolphins and the Lions and everything,
so they want to try to winthis one for sure. I think
the Eagles can cover the spread. It's a small spread, it's three and
a half, right, but Ithink the Cowboys goin by a field goal.
It's gonna be a highly competitive adivisional game and maybe like something we're
ready for a high scoring matchup butends up being slow scoring and the defensive
(01:28:13):
step up. I'll take Eagles withthe points Cowboys money line. There are
two Monday night football games this week, Cease. We're gonna start it off
with the first one. We havethe Green Bay Packers at the New York
Giants, and the Packers are favoredby six and a half points. Yeah,
I think that's fair weather pending obviously, but the Packers would. They've
(01:28:36):
been showing me the last couple ofweeks. Giants, you know, come
off a bye, but they're justthey're beat up football team, a lot
of injuries. So I'm going thePackers to roll in this one. Packers
to win and cover. For metoo, they're on a roll. Jordan
loves playing well, and you know, Tommy DeVito, as much as we
love them up and down quarterback,it's just, you know, I think
the Packers can take advantage and getthe win and cover. The last game
(01:28:59):
of the weeks, we have theTennessee Titans at the Miami Dolphins. The
Dolphins are favored by thirteen points.Yeah, what's the spread, Joe thirteen?
Who you know what, We're gonnago full send here, Dolphins to
(01:29:25):
win and cover. If you're bettinghuman being like I am, be smart.
Just take twelve and a half.Just not tease that little bit off.
Just shave it off of there, because I mean at thirteen again,
a lot of backdoor covers stupid twoand that when you're down by that much,
(01:29:48):
which we think will happen. Don'tlet some stupid feel we'll go in
this or that happen and that causesyou to lose at thirteen points or something
like. Take the twelve and ahalf. Assume you know the touchdown,
you know, ensure yourself for misssex, you know two fields are up
(01:30:10):
by Just just don't just be smart. High spreads worry me. But ultimately,
I know the Dolphins are a goodteam. Their team, they likes
to play fast, and I don'tthink the Titans are gonna have amp.
I think it's gonna be Derrick Henryis gonna have to get going early for
the Titans to even make this agame, and I think that's gonna be
a struggle. And I think WillLewis is gonna get picked off twice.
(01:30:33):
I'm a little different than you see. I'm going Dolphins when and cover,
but you move that spread up,you move it up to can be better.
Odds you put it up at likesixteen and a half. I think
this this is a team that hfive. Let's go three and a half.
Let's fucking do it. We haveYou know, the Titans have not
won a game away from home.It is in Miami. The weather is
(01:30:55):
supposed to be seventy five degrees.Uh, they'll they'll have to try to
get Tyrey killed ball. He wantsthis two thousand yards, he wants the
MVP. Uh. The Titans offensiveline has had their issues. Derek Henry
is starting to come along, butit's like it's like the weather's getting colder
in most cities, but Miami asseventy five, so maybe it's not like
one of those things where people willbe scared to tackle them. The Dolphins.
Dolphins defense is coming along too.I'm all hyped up for this game.
(01:31:18):
I'm picking the Dolphins and winn't cover. That probably means the Titans will
come up with them. Crazy upsetthe way the NFL is going this season,
but nonetheless, still a little bitof fun here, all right,
sees any final thoughts for the week. No, you know, keep riding
the Dolphins, folks. Dolphins havereally not steered me wrong almost all year
(01:31:38):
on froms. There's just some thingstheir offense just I mean, they turn
out yards, they turn out points, and they don't go conservative when you
still need stats and that can happen. They're up. So it's a god
like I might have to write asmuch as I have mel been eating letters
and doing venst to various head coachesin the NFL this year, I might
(01:32:00):
write, Mike McDaniel's a nice thankyou part. I just I don't know
where he lives find out either.Thank you from the bottom mine for continue
to try to score points. You'rethe best. Even if the Dolphins don't
make a deep playoff run, whichis I hope they do because we were
but thank you, thank you forbeing being a real g and just its
(01:32:25):
just stand the struggle of our youknow gamblers out there. Definitely I were
rotten for him. Now that theBengals likely have no shot. This is
you know, if the Dolphins endup winning the Super Bowl and I make
some money on these bets, youknow, Mike McDaniel can and maybe maybe
to or too, can expect somesome donations to their to their charities or
(01:32:45):
they're choosing because that would make mevery happy. They're a team that has
given me success and fantasy success andgambling this year. Lots of fun this
year for the Dolphins. H MyTurner mind. Everyone to like and subscribe
