(00:00):
Hello, and welcome to the Thirdand the Down Football Show. I am
Joe with me a Cecil, asalways here talks ABOUTNFL football. We're back
after a one week break. Wehad a Cecil bachelor party in New Orleans.
A lot of fun down there.I just couldn't fit in the scheduling
for doing the show. But we'reback. We'll be back the rest of
the year. You know, wehave a big wedding week coming up.
We'll do a better job planning forthat one. But Cecil, how are

(00:21):
you doing, Bud? I'm great, Bourbon Street's great. I recommend to
everybody out there. There's one drink, though I can't remember what was called.
We basically for some shots of onefifty one directly into a red bull
can and then you shot down thered bull can. Do not recommend unless

(00:42):
you want to have a really goodtime. But other than that, I
mean, grady, if we getback in the you know, the group
of things here and talk some football, I am too. It's always nice
to have those little breaks where youcan have some fun, but always good
to get back into some football.Let's let's get it started with our recap
of week four and we'll start offwith the game we watched at the casino

(01:03):
in New Orleans. We had awhole group bet in this whole big bachelor
party. We all bet the Lionsmoney line to beat the Packers or even
lines with spread their favorite too,and they won thirty four to twenty.
It was convincing fashion for owners ofJamiir Gibbs and fantasy, which I know
you are and I am in someleagues. Two maybe not the most fun
for us because David Montgomery killed iton the ground thirty two carries, one

(01:26):
hundred and twenty one yards, threetouchdowns. Really just they rode him to
victory. But just a total dominationby the Lions. The Packers just kind
of looked boss in this one. They kind of got some points in the
second half to make a little closerthan it actually was. Yeah, the
Packers got killed. It's that plainand simple. Yeah. I mean,
Montgomery's doing well, so I getwhy you know the Lions are gonna ride

(01:49):
the hot hand. It just seemslike such a waste. Why do all
of this and get Jamiir Gibbs whenyou could have gotten someone like Christian Gonzaalis
who's absolutely killing it for New England. He could have gotten a high end
defensive player, maybe one of thetop tier linemen or something like that.
I mean, that's fine. Iknow Gibbs is a great talent. That's
why I drafted in a lot offantasy leagues. But it's just kind of

(02:13):
a weird use of capital, right, Great, he's a great player.
He's a great player to have onany team. Eighteen will won him on
their team. The reality, though, is if you're gonna ride Dave Montgomery
for thirty carries some game, what'sthe point of having this guy there?
And even when Montgomery was out,Gibbs wasn't used a ton like they still
kind of limit his usage, whichI understand, you know, let the

(02:36):
man cook. And I mean, other than that, though, it was
just an ass kicking of the epicproportions. Green May's offense looked lost,
The Lions looked aggressive, they lookready to really show that they are the
best team in the NFC North. And the only other thing I really have
to say is the whole they clearedAaron Jones to play and then barely use

(02:57):
them for half the game. Yeah, that was weird. And they kind
of like this first half or thefirst drive of the second half. They
ran him out there a lot morethan they had been using him, and
then he kind of came back offthe field. It was kind of weird
at that rate. You know, you're already down twenty seven to three at
halftime. Why run him out therefor the first drive of the second half.
Was kind of the thing for mewhere I was like, that's kind
of weird, but I'm went you. I love to see Jamiir Gibbs us

(03:21):
more more of a dynamic running back. From the things I've read and seen
online, it seems like they're moreof a David Montgomery knows how to run
the ball better as a pro interms of, hey, if it's a
zone run on the outside, youkind of have to push the ball towards
the outside and then do a jumpcut back inside. You know, even
for inside zone that's what you dotoo. But Jamiir Gibbs kind of is

(03:42):
more a free flowing runner and it'snot really how they tell you to do
it in the pros. It stillworks, He's still very good, but
Montgomery runs the play more of howit's supposed to be run. And we'll
see if that gets fixed in thenext a little bit here. You usually
we don't necessarily draft keep running backsfor week one. We draft him for
a week five and six, andseven and eight on. We'll see if
he gets more into the rotation here. But the Lions have a really good
thing going. Packers need to regrouppretty quickly. This week they've got Las

(04:05):
Vegas. We'll pick that game alittle bit later on. We'll get to
something that probably made both me andCecil pool our hair out. The Titans
beat the Bengals twenty seven to three. Uh. This was again a game
on I think mostly the offense andtheir inability to put up points and move
the ball and put a lot ofpressure on the defense. You know,

(04:27):
you give up one hundred and twentytwo yards in a touchdown to Derrick Henry.
You know fine that that happens,It's Derrick Henry. But you score
three points. You have three touchdownsall season through four weeks. Not looking
good. It's a it's discombobulated theoffensive lines into playing poorly. Joe Burrows
clearly not himself, and now TeagansT Higgins has a rib injury. Not

(04:47):
exactly how you draw this one up, seas, No, I mean it
looked like an absolute mess. Imean, they had some rhythm going in
the you know, first quarter, but then you know, things started to
get worse, and you know, the Titans got off some big plays that
the defense look like they weren't readyfor. They look tired out there.

(05:10):
I mean, it was just bythe end of the second quarter, it
was one of the more frustrating gamesever watched. And Zach Taylor continues to
just do nothing that comes to gameplanning now and Joe Burrow's injury, it
seems like they're pretty much like, well, Joe Burrow is either gonna win
us this game or lose it.And the reality is your plan literally can't
just be for Joe Burrow to puton a cape and like win every game

(05:31):
for you, especially in the conditionhe's in right now, one hundred percent
healthy. Still not advice, butyou know, a lot of people in
the NFL, you know, whenit comes to franchise quarterbacks, that's what
they do. This is a differentanimal, right You can't use a lot
of the playbook that you're used towith him. He can't throw deep passes
right now. It's very apparent, you know, maybe you get some strength

(05:53):
back it's an injury where he doesn'tre injure it. It will get better
over time, that is known. It's just the risk of re injury is
the big here. So you know, there's a world where they get better.
And I'm not saying you have tobench Joe Burrow, but the reality
is we got to see a differentlooking offense even with Joe Burrow out there,
because I mean, if you can'tcommit to that, I mean,

(06:15):
I get it's he's better than JakeBrowning even at sixty percent probably, and
we can go through the problems ofhaving a backup QB that's not worth anything.
You can't even risk starting. ButI mean the offense is just pitiful
looking. They look zapped of allenergy. And I mean a defense to
put up a good effort, butI mean basically they had to breakaway,
you know, big plays that resulted, you know, in touchdown drives with

(06:39):
Titans before the half, and youjust look and you're like, this game
is basically over. And that's atough place to be for a team that's
supposed to have this many top tierweapons just because your quarterbacks one hundred percent
Zach Taylor couldn't scheme you twenty pointswhen he's supposed to be an offensive head
coach. So not a good look. A lot of teams in the NFL
with less, you know, lookat the Cardinals they beat the Cowboys.

(07:01):
You know, a lot of youknow, teams will uber less out than
them are able to still win afootball game. So if this can a
season at the end, I'm notsaying, you know, we have to
fire Zach Taylor or something, butI think, you know, we got
to start looking to play calling andit's like an actual word instead of it

(07:23):
just being piecemeal. You know,Joe Burrow basically sitting there playing mad No.
Five and just making an offense fromout of nothing, regardless of the
playbook. Yeah, you're right.I think if they don't make the playoffs
this year, someone's getting fired. It's going to be a matter whether the
Bengals make Zach Taylor scape good someoneor the Bengals just fire him by themselves.
Too much talent on this team, even with an injured quarterback to not

(07:45):
be competing. There's different things teamsare doing that They're not afraid to blitz
Joe Burrow anymore because they know hisreceivers aren't getting open really quickly. They
know he doesn't have the mobility todo what he used to do, which
is, you know, make somethingout of nothing a lot of times,
and you just can't build an offensethat way. So there is a lot
that needs to be changed, youknow, in a weird way. It
looks like it might be close togetting back. I mean, Higgins out

(08:07):
be harder, but the timing lookslike it's close to getting there. But
it's just until it gets there,it's not gonna be good. So Begleisa
have a lot of things to fix. Titans needed that win to go to
two and two. It looks likeit could be a tougher AFC South with
some other teams kind of stepping upthis year. We're gonna go to the
London game. I think, youknow, fans could get a little inside

(08:28):
look at who my favorite team is. That's why I skipped the London game
first. But the Toy Story GamesCease first of all. Loved Andy's Room,
loved the broadcast. Got to tunein a little bit on the plane
while we were flying back from NewOrleans. They have Slinky the Dog as
the chains that's awesome. They havethe crane drops the ball on the field
for him. That's pretty cool, and it was. It was pretty like,

(08:50):
it was pretty cool to get kidsinvolved. If you're like a you
know, dad watching the game andhave kids, it's a good way to
like, hey, we can watchcartoons and you have the kid involved.
So love that even more than theNickelodeon games, which I know is huge
because we love the NVP on thisshow very much. But the Jaguars went
twenty three to seven. I don'thave too much to say from this game,
Cease, other than I think wefound out that, you know,

(09:11):
Arthur Smith is not the best interms of getting skill position players of the
ball if they're not running backs, you know, Titan system, that's how
he's trying to do down here.Dest Rudder is not the answer. You
know, Jaguars are better than theFalcons. I think we kind of knew
that coming in, right exactly. It's kind of a game that you know,
kind of turned down the way weexpected. It's good to see the

(09:33):
Jaguars kind of bounce back and youknow, kind of look like the team
they're supposed to be versus you know, there's been times this season where they've
looked a little lost, especially onoffense. So it's good for them to
get back to that kind of betterpassing offense. You know, have Calvin
Ridley involved. But yeah, Imean, how much more in Atlanta?
Keep up with this Arthur Smith experimentof look at all my offensive weapons I

(09:56):
don't use. It's that simple,you know, from a lot I don't
know. You know, again fire, which is early on in their career,
before they really started. I'm notalways a big fan of. But
the reality is they need to havea talk about what this offense is and
what they're trying to develop because rightnow they're just trying to It looks like
it again, I keep saying this, It looks like an offense I was

(10:18):
built for someone like Adrian Peterson twentyyears ago. And that's great. That
was great in the NFL for along time. That's not what they have
now. That's not how the NFLworks anymore. Eijon Robinson's a rookie running
back. They don't give them thirtythirty five carries a game. So I
mean, you can't run that offenseunless you're committed to it completely. I
mean, you look at the Ravensfive years ago when they drafted. They

(10:41):
decided to cheat their identity and makeup their team. Now hasn't necessarily gotten
them, you know, a superBowl note? Is it questionable? Now?
It's going to work long term andthen we've seen the lasting effects of
it. Sure, but I mean, at least they tried to commit to
that offense. The Falcons are justI mean, why have Drake London?

(11:03):
Why Drake London if you're not gonnause them? Why draft Kyle Pits.
They should have drafted linemen. Theyshould have drafted defensive key players. Make
this team better. If this isthe offense that are gonna run. Now,
they're just stuck with a bunch oftalent that is basically sitting there doing
run blocking as a receiver and tightend when that's not in their specialties.
I'm with you. I think evenif you do have a run focused attack,

(11:26):
you can do things that enables youto stretch the field or have you
know, if you stress the fieldvertically, it opens up the run game,
and they're just not even doing that. It's kind of sad to see
they're running a lot of two manroutes, which means max protection. That
doesn't give Desmond Ridder a chance toreally do anything. So I don't know
what the plan is long term.If you want to be if you want

(11:48):
a runn attack right and go lookat like what the Dolphins are doing.
You can have elite wide receivers. You can use your wide receivers and still
run the ball. So the Dolphinshave done the last several weeks at least
and still be successful doing it.So I don't get the Arthur Smith thing.
Jaguars is good to see them getback on track. I want to
see, you know, Trevor Lawrencehas played well. It seems like a
lot of his receivers are letting himdown. The offensive line a little bit
letting him down. They need totake that next step and just keep on

(12:11):
winning games here because they need toget things back on track. As mentioned,
AFC South could be a little bittougher than we thought this year.
Next game up Seas, we gotthe Dolphins and the Bills, one of
the more highly anticipated matchups of theweek. It started off pretty good.
I mean it was, you know, pretty close up until maybe the second
quarter, and then the Bills startedrunning away with it. They went forty

(12:31):
eight to twenty. Now, thisis that Jordan Poyer. Trey White ends
up getting hurt. He's now outfor the season. That feel bad for
that guy. He keeps on gettinghurt every single year and they need him
if they're going to make a deepSuper Bowl run. But Josh aut looks
good, you know, after Weekone didn't look so good. They get
things back on track. They're threeand one, right in the thick of
the AFC race and the Dolphins, you know, you don't want ever get

(12:54):
blown out by division rival. It'sunderstandable to lose to the Bills, and
they did have some good offensive performversus Devin Hm eight carries, one hundred
one yards, two touchdowns, butyou just don't want to get plown out
by your arrival. With the Billscould win for them though, right.
I mean, this game was alot further apart than we expect these two

(13:15):
teams to be in this game.Again, it's one game. You know,
the NFL Dolphins scored seventy points oneweek, they get blown out the
next. What does that mean forthe Dolphins. I don't really know if
I think this game is played againwhen it and it will be obviously they're
gonna play in Miami later this year, I could see a completely different outcome.
I can see the Dolphins definitely winthat game. The Bills just the

(13:39):
game plan better. You know,Stefan Diggs had a hell of a game.
They lost contain on him and Ithink that was one of the biggest
difference makers. But just the bigtouchdown plays that they were allowing him.
The Bills were they were converting inthe red zone four in touchdowns. They
weren't settling for field goals. Andyou know, when a team's converting that
many, I mean red zone possessionsof the touchdowns, it's hard to compete.

(14:01):
You know, put up over fortypoints the NFL says are you're most
likely gonna win the game, andthen especially when you're scoring a bunch is
like the Bills were kind of halfwaythrough that game. I mean, it's
hard for another offense to just goI have to score a touchdown almost every
drive to continue to keep up theDolphins. The Dolphins ultimately do have that
ability, but that's just still alwaysa tough ask. So I mean,

(14:24):
this might be a good better timethan any if you're high on the Dolphins
this year. I wouldn't let thisone game sway you, But you know,
I don't see how the odds maymay or may not have dropped after
this game, you know, forSuper Bowl odds. Things of that nature.
Might be a good thing to lookinto and try to lock in now,
because m we tell you right now, the Dolphins aren't gonna suddenly just

(14:45):
lay flat and give up on theseason. Still a lot of games to
be left. I mean, theworst case they don't win the Acast,
there's still going to be a wildcard team, and they are as dangerous
as anybody in the NFL right nowwith the scheming, the game plan and
the weapons they have. You haveseen some hot takes in the media.
I think even NFL Networks Kyle Branthas said, like, you know,
oh, this this offense is revolutionary, making fun of it the revolutionary.

(15:09):
What's it gonna get you? It'snot gonna get you anywhere. This is
the most copied offense in the leaguethrough the first four weeks. Teams are
literally taking what the Dolphins have doneand doing it themselves, whether it's the
motion or the running style, they'redoing it. And I think, you
know, sleeping on the Dolphins afterone loss, even if it was a
big loss, is kind of crazy. So I'm still very high on the
Dolphins. Still think the Bills area good team too. I still like

(15:31):
the you know, very good chancesof going deep into the playoffs. But
you know this, injuries added uplast year and hopefully they'll keep on adding
up this year. All Right. One of the toilet bowls of the week
seas the Denver Broncos at the ChicagoBears, and all boy to Bears fans
want to forget this one. Goup big, you know, twenty eight
to seven lead, end up blowingit. Justin Fields has a good game,

(15:52):
three and thirty five yards, fourtouchdowns, and they end up taking
their foot off of the guests andexplicably take the front up the gas and
they lose to the Broncos at home. You know, it was supposed to
be a close game, but it'svery disappointing to lose a game like that
when you have it at hand witha running quarterback where you can just run
the clock. I would say thatthere's gonna be people fired here soon.

(16:15):
They haven't won a game since lastOctober. Yeah, I think firings are
definitely in order. I mean, the Bears had this in hand. It
looked like they were going to wintheir first game, and they just slowly
let it. They pondered it away, and it was just a you know,
a toilet bowl kind of game, like you said, where it looked
like two teams are incompetent, youknow, two teams that you know they

(16:38):
have players. It's the NFL.People can score points. Reality though,
is that good teams don't let badteams back into the games, because,
I mean, you can get backinto a game the NFL, it's not
that. Well, you're the Bengalscurrent offense. You know, if you're
down by two possessions at halftime, you can easily come back and win.
Hell, it could be the beginningof the four quarter. If you score

(17:00):
a touchdown your first drive and youhave at the beginning of the fourth quarter,
you can win that game. It'svery possible. And it just shows
in this game theres are not thereyet. And you you look at teams
that usually finish in the bottom throughin the league, it's not necessarily always
like, wow, they're completely devoidof talent. That can be true a

(17:21):
lot of times you look at theirschedule and you look at the games from
the season. You just look atall these games that were squandered away.
You know, there were games theyhad no shot in they got blown out,
and sure, but there's way moregames you usually pick out in the
worst teams in the NFL and workclose that for some reason, they couldn't
either finish or you know, theywere never able to get right really that
you know, that third down, they needed that touchdown, They needed to
get back into things and build youknow, momentum into that final quarter.

(17:45):
So Bear showed it all again thisweek. Somebody, somebody, I mean,
I don't know how many more, how many more weeks we're gonna wait
to fire somebody. You just lostto a Broncos team that was literally look
dead on arrival against the Dolphins aweek before. I mean, and they
look coming into these games. It'snot like the Broncos came in ready to

(18:07):
fight. Broncos looked at halftime andthen somehow I just let your foot off
the gas and let them beat Chief. And it's awful. And I'm a
Chicago Bears fan right now, Iam. I'm very very very upset,
and i'm you know, my planningfor the NFL Draft. I think you're
right. The Broncos as you said, they were kind of a dumpster fire

(18:30):
coming to this too. They releasedRandy Gregory today. He's gonna paid a
lot of money, and they saidthey want to focus on the young guys
because they kind of know the season'snot going to go the way they want.
So that's interesting, and I'm withyou. You know, whether it's
Matt Eberfluss's defensive minded head coach gettingfired because they blew such a lead and
they already you know, haven't wona game in a year, Whether it's
Luke Getzi because he stopped doing thethings that we're working last year getting fired

(18:52):
the office cordator. You know,I don't know, but then something needs
to change there, all right.Next one up Seas the Ravens at the
Browns. Ravens win twenty eight tothree. We can take literally nothing from
this game, as you know, good or bad for either team, because
you know, the Browns had togo with the backup quarterback Dorian Thompson Robinson.
They tried to use them like abattering ram and you know didn't work.

(19:14):
But good for the Ravens to goto three and one. I guess,
yeah, I mean, be morestupid, man, it's just yeah.
I mean, if you want toglean some of this game, I
mean you literally can't. I meanDorian Thompson starting quarterback is I mean,
who cares? I mean it's theirsecond string quarterback. Deshaun Watson's hurt.

(19:37):
Deshaun Watson's timing that good anyway,So I don't know how much that would
change the game, but I meanit was just a complete debacle. The
defense of the Browns did not lookas effective as they have the first couple
of weeks. I think that defenseis going to really start grinding down as
the year goes on, now thatthey don't have Nick Chubb and Deshaun Watson's

(19:57):
gonna keep making some weird and everyonehe'll make a big play with his feet,
and every broadcaster is on the gamefor some reason. With him,
we'll think Deshaun White the greatest thingon earth because he either runs it for
twenty yards or he gets out ofa sack and throws a twenty yards downfield
for completion. In that same game, though he will throw it backwards,

(20:18):
he will throw a bow into triplecoverage for an interception. To all of
these things, but the commentators willnot remember that they will only remember the
plays where they this magic Deshaun Watsonexisted in a vacuum three years ago for
the like four and twelve Texans isthe greatest thing ever happened and will somehow
leave the Browns to the promised Land. So good luck Brownie fans. You're

(20:41):
not winning the division, especially afterthat kind of loss to the Ravens.
I don't care if he had Deshaunor not. Ravens are in the driver's
seat right now. They bounce backafter a heartbreaking loss of the Colts.
Lamar Jackson looked like they really gotthe offense going. He was moving around
well in the pocket a well, which has been something that's in that ground

(21:02):
attack with getting him involved in scoringand touchdowns has been lacking and not bare
like it has the previous years, which is by design with the new kind
of pass first offense that they're tryingto put in. But Ravens look good.
What does it mean? We'll haveto see it till a round two
in a couple of months. Yes, He's interesting to me that the that

(21:26):
Deshaun Watson could have gone in thisgame and said he was not good to
go. His shoulder wasn't good enoughto go. I guess maybe the luxury
of having a good record at thetime, but also at your points,
he's is very very good in thathe's not playing well either. So like
you look at the stats of whathe did for Cleveland and it is,

(21:51):
I mean, I would say, pretty similar to what RG three did in
Cleveland during his time. So justkind of like you know, they rank
RG three out of time. OnRG three right now maybe would be doing
just as much as Deshaun Watson evenright now. So that's just you know,
I'm with you. The Shaun Watsonlove has gone way too out of
hype. I think fans are startingto turn on him. Next game up,
though, let's go Los Angeles Ramsand Indianapolis Colts. This was a

(22:15):
better game than maybe even we eventhought, even though it wasn't close spread.
The Rams go up pretty by alot early ago of twenty nothing.
By the half, the Colts comestorming back. I think you saw good
pois Anthony Richardson and leading this comebackand they end up tying it, and
then the Rams and overtime they findPuka Nakua and he gets into the end

(22:37):
zone for the game. Winning touchdownand they have a little celebration in the
locker room with him. I thinkit was a lot of great great from
Colts for the comeback, a lotof grit from the Rams in terms of
getting that overtime touchdown. Yeah.I mean, honestly, there's one of
the more arch games of the week. That's saying a lot about kind of
how some of these games, themarket matchups turned out to be blow But

(23:00):
I mean it was entertaining. I'mnot saying, you know, it was
the best football game I've ever seen. You know, there wasn't a ton
of talent on the field, honestly, but it just seemed fun. You
know. You know, there's somekind of reckless abandon to it when you're
two teams that aren't necessarily saying we'regonna win much this year, but you're
you're just gonna give it a shot, and you don't care what it looks
like to win. You just you'retrying out there and win the game.

(23:23):
And sometimes that's the most fun thingin football, because football, ultimately it's
just chaos. It's chaos where youknow, you try to do all these
game plans. Everyone tries to planevery little thing out and I get why,
but ultimately that falls apart most ofthe time, right, I mean,
it comes down to who really wantsit more and those kind of key

(23:44):
moments. It's who executes and morereally who just has the heart to make
that one more play, that onebreakaway, to make that you know,
extra a fight on a fifty tofifty ball to really break open a game.
And these seems both sharred a lotof heart, which I mean,
and a lot of games we sawthis weekend teams kind of really got beat
up on and they kind of justfell over from there. Yeah, definitely,

(24:11):
that was one of more entertaining gamesof the weekend. We'll move to
a game that wasn't as entertaining, but you know, maybe not result we
didn't expect. The Buccaneers beat theSaints twenty six to nine. This was
Derek Carr's return to the field afterhaving that ac injury eight in the shoulder
injury. This is I think atestament and we've seen some of the publicity
this this week. Following the gamesees Baker Mayfield three touchdown passes and this

(24:33):
one had an interception. Great fitfor the Buccaneers. He actually sow them
out in free agency to go playwith them. He's like, I want
to be in your system. Iwant to be there. And I think
we're finding out that he wasn't asbad as maybe Browns fans thought, as
Panthers fans thought, maybe it's justkind of like what you got going around
the quarterback and maybe he affects thingsmore than anything. And you know,
he's gone into Buccaneers camp and itseems like everyone loves him and he's rallying

(24:56):
around him. They're three and onein a very winnable division, and they
still have a lot of players fromthe Brady years over the last several years
that could help them win the division, right. And I mean we look
at when we talk about Baker Mayfieldtwo years ago, Well, Baker Mayfield
was out there with his entire throwingshoulder messed up. I mean we pretty
much were like, he probably shouldn'tbe playing. You know, he looks

(25:18):
like he's in pain, he lookslike he can't make early any passes.
But he was trying to play forhis team. And I get that,
you know, I respect that, but you know, Baker Mayfield is not
a franchise quarterback. He's not goingto get you there by himself, but
he's shown over the last couple ofyears, and he showed it with the
Browns. You know, he's atop half quarterback in the NFL, and

(25:40):
you you know he's not going tobe costing that much money either. If
you don't have to pay Baker Mayfielda lot of money, you can build
a strong team around him and hecan get you wins. And the quarterbacks
that's a backup that to throw prettywell. You know, there's a lot
of guys that are you know, the backups the NFL were kind of the
bottom guys that don't have a deepball that looks like kids. I mean,

(26:02):
that's a big thing. I meanthere's a lot of starters in the
league that don't want the deep ballthat looks like that. Baker makes some
questionable decisions so throw some interceptions heprobably shouldn't. You know, he kind
of struggles more in that intermediate game, which is kind of where the NFL
has gone to. And a lotof the people that are top tier quarterbacks
excel. But I mean, youget you build a team around the guy,
you get him a lot of weapons. You can see the weapons that

(26:26):
Tampa Bay already had with Tom Brady, and it can be successful. He
got I don't again to this day. If you're the Cleveland Browns, I
hope you watch every Tampa Bay Buccaneersgame and go. I don't know why
we got rid of Baker Mayfield. We could have paid twenty million, twenty
five million dollars a year for DeshaunWatson for a guaranteed contract. That's forty

(26:48):
a year, and he's throwing toguys like Amari Cooper. I mean,
imagine how the Browns could have builtan offense with Baker Mayfield if they truly
committed to it. I think itwould be better. They would have had
draft picks as well. I thinkthey would have been a much better position.
Somebody showed me some stats to proveme wrong. Obviously it's all relative,

(27:11):
but I think it took Baker, you know, over a year to
really get right with his shoulder.I think we saw a little fire even
with the Rams last year, withlike very short term, short term plays.
He barely knew a playbook. Butthey were just going out there to
try to play and win games.Because m and Sean McVay knew they weren't
playing for anything. So I mean, I if Tampa Bay has found their

(27:33):
at least, you know, shortterm intermedia, I would say more intermediate
term answer quarterback, that's great forthem. They found a hell of a
steal in the guy. And I'mglad Baker Mayfield's career is still gone because
he didn't deserve what happened to himin Cleveland. He really didn't. He
put it all out for them. They've made the playoffs. They won a
playoff game with Baker Mayfield, somethingno one else in the Browns franchise can

(27:57):
say over the last twenty years, five thirty years. So he got a
bad rap. And again, Cleveland, I don't know what what you're cheering
for with Sean Watson. He shouldtry to bring that Baker Mayfield jersey out
of the closet and maybe just sitthere and then just use it as like

(28:18):
a snuggy to warm you on acold Cleveland winter's day because they're coming.
Oh boy, Yeah, I agreewith what you said about Baker. We
know we're big Baker guys here andat least in terms of maybe not being
the best quarterback of all time, but I think he's linking that genus Smith
tier where you pay the guy midtier money and he could be a guy
who wins you games. We sawa genius Smith with the Seahawks last year
and is doing with them this year. He could do that for the Bucks

(28:40):
for the next couple of years. He could cash in after this year if
the Buccaneers decided they want to keepthem, they could cash in on a
similar genus Smith type deal, whichis, you know, hey, some
money for him, but hey,we can get out of it pretty quickly
if we won, and they couldbe a pretty good team. This is
a team that a lot of peoplethought would be the number one pick.
Possibly having Cale Williams to be aBuccaneer was kind of popular. Maybe not

(29:00):
the case anymore. So. Excitingto see the Buccaneers play well. Exciting
to see Baker get a second chancehere with the Buccaneers, and we'll see
how it goes from here on out. The Eagles defeated the Commanders thirty four
to thirty one in overtime seas. This is one of those things where we
know the division rivals always have troublewith certain teams. I remember back in
the day, you know what seventeight years ago was Ram Seahawks always you

(29:22):
know, had trouble with each other, even when the Rams were bad and
the Seahawks were good back in theLegion of Boom days and all that.
The Commanders beat the Eagles last year, give them their first loss last year,
and this time take them to thebrink. I think it's more of
a game planning thing than anything. But also, the Eagles aren't playing as
well as expected. They're not coveringmany spreads, which I know us gambling
people like to use to kind ofquantify how teams are. They just really

(29:45):
haven't reached their potential. But hey, they're getting wins, right exactly.
Yeah, it is one of thosethings, especially with the Commanders and Eagles.
It's the same thing with you know, the Bengals Browns. I mean,
these guys play each other twice ayear. They know each other very
well, they know what the teamplays, they know all the players that
are up and coming. I mean, no way not to play someone that

(30:08):
often every year for years, SoI guess it could be expected to some
point. I think something that's youknow, for the casual observer, not
really something seen or known as muchto them. You know, you look
at the Eagles. You know,Eagles almost won the Super Bowl, and
you look at the commanders who arein the basement of you know, the
a f C or the NFC inthe NFL in general, you wouldn't think

(30:32):
this game is gonna be close. But I mean, they scheme well for
Jalen Hurts. I guess they havethe secret sauce. I think a lot
of it is just you know, they have goody, good front seven front
seven that Eagles offensive mine can't justpush around, and they're speedy and off
the edge if he decides to runwith it, you know, and that's
that they got athletic freeze. Andagain they're athleticism kind of matches perfectly to

(30:57):
Eagles can do so well and takeit bangel against other teams. It was
close. I like how they knowthis game. How the Eagles kind of
threw that deep pass of AJ Brownhe got stupid excessive seller, which there's
fifteen less yards to go down scorethat touchdown, which again, you know,

(31:19):
that's just football smarts. You know. I get they're going to trash
talk and everything, but you're sucha credit part of the game. It
doesn't seem like a lot. Butfifteen yards with time expiring could have been
all the difference to make them nothave to go into overtime and being an
absolute nail buyer than they might lose. True, Eagles pulled out though.
Commanders. You know they're scrappy team. Uh yeah, I think they're you

(31:45):
know, at this rate, we'relooking at a team who finishes this third
in division, maybe takes a playoffspot. When the Giants do not take
that playoff spot this year is We'regoing to get to their game in a
little bit here. Another Toilet Bowlgame sees the Vikings and the Panthers.
Both teams were winless coming into thegame. The Viking leave with the twenty
one to thirteen win. I don'tagain, don't have much to say about

(32:05):
it. Justin Jefferson two touchdowns.Cool, Bryce Young, not gonna say
he's a bust or anything yet. He's a terrible offensive line in front of
him. A lot of things tofigure out. They want to get him
a better weapon than the aged AdamThielen, who he did find a lot
of times in this game for someyards in the revenge game. But I
mean cool, the Vikings got towin. That's that's what I'm saying right
now, that's all I got.Yeah, just to say Kirk Cousins didn't

(32:28):
look good in this game. AlexanderMadison was involved, which is big considering
the talk about Cam Makers or thelast year games. Cam Makers hasn't really
eaten in that much to his time, which I think is a as a
fantasy owned, great thing for me, but in the real world, Vikings
are way better team than Panthers.Panthers are in a rough spot because if
this doesn't start turning around soon, they're gonna look real dumb when the Chicago

(32:52):
Bears get a top three NFL draftpick because of all of us. Absolutely,
we're gonna be fun to watch trevlIt's fun to track all these draft
day trades or these draft trades.I should say, ex he's gonna have
the number one pick this year forsure. Uh. Speaking of draft stuff,
I'm gonna go take a little victorylap. It's four games, so
I'm gonna take a little victory lapthat I had. CJ. Stroud ranked

(33:12):
this quarterback number one because the Texansbeat the Steelers thirty to six. CJ.
Stroud's a real deal. We talkedabout Bryce Young's offensive line issues.
Well, guess what CJ. Stroud'splaying with backup of backups offensive linemen right
now, and he's getting the jobdone. Three or six yards, two
touchdowns against the Steelers defense. Incredible. I'm taking my victory lap. Cecily,
you can, you can kind ofbreak it down. Yeah, CJ.

(33:35):
Stroud looks great. It's that simple. We both liked him as prospects.
I mean, Bryce young people likehim better. You know. C
J. Strouds was more of thatprototypical quarterback and he's got the size and
he give muses like so, I'mglad he's able to do in the NFL
so well, and kind of throwsthat entire Ohio State theory that they were

(33:58):
just underutilizing him in afraid of gettinghim hurt. They're letting him let Stroud
cup man. But the Steers again, their offense sucks. Nagie Harris isn't
a good enough running back for themto be able to lean on the run
or to set up the pass either. Jalen Warren, I don't know if
he's any better. I don't thinkhe is. They just have two very

(34:20):
very average running backs that are replacementlevel. I mean, you could probably
find. You could probably find LeonardFournette. You could probably call right now
and he'd give you the exact sameresults for a million dollars for the rest
of the year. That's the sadreality of what the Steelers looking offense looks
like. At what point do youjust go, can you pick? It's
gonna either win this game or losethis game. We're gonna like, just

(34:43):
just unleash, Just let him throwthe ball to George Pickens ten fifteenth,
just start taking deep shots, likethat's what this offense has got to do,
because at least they'll have a chanceof something breaking away, or maybe
that'll set up Najie Harris more.Because the current offense, Matt Canada has
just put in a Larry lifeless, predictable just mess that him and Zach Taylor

(35:09):
probably are changing notes right now.It feels like, yeah, definitely all
right. See, let's go tothe evening games. We have the Chargers
and the Raiders. The Chargers wintwenty four to seventeen. This is we
expected this too. Jimmy Garoppolo wasout for this game. Aidan O'Connell at

(35:30):
his first career start, you know, just like Dorian Thompson Robinson, one
of those preseason All Stars that youknow might thinks has some potential. But
Khalil Mack had six sacts, sothat wasn't gonna happen. A very big
game for him against his former team. The Chargers get to win. It
was closer than you maybe would havethought, but really the Raiders just added
some late points to make it thatway. Chargers get to win, and

(35:51):
that's kind of what we expected, especially given the injury information. Yeah,
absolutely, I mean they're starting arookie corps. About An O'Connell didn't look
that bad. In his defense,Devanta Adams did go out of the game
for a little bit as well, which definitely didn't hurt you know, you
know, didn't help them at allwith their young rookie quarterback to have your
star receiver gone. I mean, the Chargers they're a better team. It

(36:15):
was just that simple. You know, they had control of the game,
which was nice for most of thegame, and then they were able to
put it away at the end becausethey were within the touchdown. And you
know, sometimes you look at thosegames, especially with the Chargers that we've
known and loved, and they wouldlet the Raiders go field and score touch
it but a heartbeat most of thetime, so they did in this one.

(36:37):
There's some critical turnovers for them, and Khalil Mack was a monster.
Absolutely. We're gonna move it onto the forty nine ers beating the Cardinals
again, a good team playing abad teams, So not too much to
say here. We'll mention, Uh, Christian McCaffrey had four touchdowns. That's
pretty cool. And brock Party isshowing that even though he has a weak

(36:57):
arm, not the physical talent, not the runner, that the athleticism,
he has some decent accuracy at timesinconsistent with decent and he knows where to
go with the ball on pressures comingand that's very important to an NFL team,
right. I mean again, RockPurty books phenomenal. I mean,
he's not a oral beater. He'snot gonna dominate the NFL. If you
took him outside Kyle Shannan's offense,he would be maybe not even a backup.

(37:22):
But he doesn't need all these becausemost of those guys, you know,
people get by the NFL sometimes onthey're measurables on their you know,
their speed or their strength. Youknow these things that make them athletic freaks,
that makes them viable. In theNFL. Rock Purty was basically able
to get on get in with nextto no hope just because he was the

(37:43):
you know, controller of chaos atIowa State, and they took a gamp
on him. And honestly, KyleShannon, if this was the Brock Perty
in the NFL, the Brock PartyI saw in college, or two different
people, because it's just too completelydifferent offenses. They're asking very different things
of it. I mean, KyleShanahan doesn't ask Rock Perdy to dominate a

(38:04):
game. He's not asking him,Hey, I need you to throw for
three hundred yards. Honestly, Ithink Kyle Shannan takes his challenge to see
if he can get him to throwfor less than two hundred because I feel
like that's the kind of game KyleShannon wants. He wants to see,
you know, every running back atat least one hundred yards rushing. But
I mean, he just gives himthe options, tells him this is the
spot to throw to. If it'sthere, great, If it's not,

(38:25):
throw it away. Our defense isgreat and our offense and Christian McCaffery are
good enough that we're gonna score ourfair share of points. You don't have
to worry, you don't have toforce something. Ever, this team will
win games without you having to bea superstar. What this team will not
do is win games. Is ifyou try to become a superstar in doing
things that Kyle Shan's telling you notto do. When you take the game

(38:49):
into your own hands, listen toyour coach when you're not an all star,
take the coaching and he'll be betteroff for it. And I think
that's what the forty nine ers havedone. It's been unstoppable so far this
season. Absolutely, And I agreewith you said about Brock Purdy not being
the same player it was in college. He was good and they called it

(39:09):
Broctober at Iowa State because he wasgood in October. But otherwise he was
all over the place, good andbad different times. Hard to believe that
him and Bruce Hall were on thesame team. And some of those teams
were not very good. I thinkone was seven and six. That's not
the greatest, but that's how itgoes. I mean, I think there
was a stat this week just kindof unrelated that like Patrick Mahomes and like

(39:31):
Jared Goff and I think one otherquarterback was like over when it came to
playing ranked football teams in college football, sometimes it doesn't matter. Sometimes it
doesn't. The Cowboys beat the Patriots, it shows you how bad of a
four o'clock window there was. TheCowboys beat the Patriots thirty eight to three.
The defense was the main reason, and Mac Jones is the main reason

(39:52):
for this. The worst case ofhappy feet I think I have ever seen
in an NFL game. He wasafraid of Michael Parsons in that Dallas Boys
pass rush, throwing off his backfoot throw it inaccurately sees. This might
be might be too early to say, but is is Bill Belichick tanking by
keeping Mac Jones in the game toget Ko Williams? Is it possible?

(40:14):
Some people are saying, I don'tthink it's in Bill Belichick's makeup to tank.
I one, that man doesn't seemto know what to do with draft
picks when he does have them.So I mean, I get getting the
first overall pick, that's pretty mucha slam dunk, But I did you
know there's just too much of acompetitor Bill Belichick and just his legacy just

(40:36):
sit there and take a like, you know, two win season. He
just can't do that. I thinkit's a game where they got down quick.
Mac Jones got overwhelmed really easily. And you know, there's just some
games, especially early the season, where you're just like it's just not our
day and you just take your lumps. You watch the film the next day,

(40:57):
and then you burn it and younever talk over it again. It
seems like that's the kind of game. Basically, the Patriots had a lot
of teams are seeming to have thatgame against the Dallas Cowboys, and then
Dallas has itselves against the Arizona Cardinals. So it's good to see Dallas get
back on track, especially after thatmiserable loss in the desert. But you
know, sometimes it just takes thatkind of shocked to really make you realize

(41:22):
your potential. So Cowboys are backon track, makes me feel way more
confident in them and the Patriots.Who the hell knows? I mean only
I think the only person who knowswhat's going on the Patriots or what the
path success or what the game planis is Bill Belichick himself. His assistants
know nothing. I don't even knowthey even get you know, plays or

(41:44):
get any say in practice on theday of maybe Bill Belichick just puts headsets
on them and they're not even pluggedin. It's possible. I mean,
if somebody went in and then oneday reveals after twenty years from now,
the Patriots equipment manager comes on like, oh yeah, none of that stuff
was plugged. Then the only onethat was was Bills. Would you be

(42:05):
that surprised that that's a movie waitingto happen. The only person's head said
is the like he's like professor Xand X man. Man, it's a
rebro all right. Whatever makes himfeel more powerful. I think he's earned
it, you know. Yeah,so I'm with you the Cowboys a lot
more faiths. But I think ithappens, like you know, the NFL,

(42:27):
this is not college football. Youcan lose to teams that aren't good
and it's still like you're all pros. All teams are somewhat good and not
you know, going to have thosegames where you lose and you can still
be a good team at the end. So it's okay for the Cowboys Patriots.
I don't really know where they're goingeither, So we'll figure that out
later in the season. Moving onto Sunday night football seas, the Chiefs
win twenty three to twenty over theJets. I have three major points to

(42:47):
go over. I'll try to goover as fast as possible. Zach Wilson
outplayed Patrick Mahomes, the first timePatrick Mahomes had been outplayed in a game
in college or the NFL where hethrew Zack Wilson through less interceptions, had
more completions and more touchdowns of PatrickMahomes. I believe it is the stat
the only time it's happened in hispro college career that one other quarterback has
done that. So that's pretty cool. Two Patrick Mahomes deserves to be in

(43:14):
prison for sliding at the end ofthe game when he got a first down
instead of running the ball in andgetting us us better. Some money,
just absolute travesty, lot so muchmoney. Yeah, you can't. You
just can't do that stuff, man, The first downs at the two yard
two yard line, you can't dothat. And three conspiracy theory out here
that Taylor Swift only went to thisgame so that when people googled Taylor Swift

(43:38):
Jets that people couldn't look up howmuch fuel her jet, her private jet
gives out, because that was thebad press running Taylor Swift for years was
that, oh she was a privatejet and there's too much bad fuel going
in the air. So now ifyou google Taylor Swift jets, all that
comes up is a picture of herat the jet ski. So love that

(43:58):
conspiracy theory. Love for Zach Wilsonthat he played better after how much Hady
got shows he still got maybe someroom to improve. And Patrick Mahomes again
deserves to be in federal prison.I agree with all three points. I
mean, this is the Swifty effectstarting to affect the Chiefs. I mean,

(44:19):
think about it, you just Imean, I've never seen Pat Mahomes
look so horrible in a game, and just in the most honestly, in
the most lazy way possible in agame. They should They were winning seventeen
points at one point. They thenliterally get a safety on kind of questionable
call. I'm gonna say that rightthere. I mean he kind of started

(44:42):
grabbing the back before was in theend zone. That's the rule. I
don't know whatever, Regardless that twopoints two to seventeen should have not been
the world changing event. It wasfrom there, Pat Mahomes just starts throwing
it like pop ups in the airfor the Jets defense is just catching her
set. It's just just the mostlazy quarterbacking. I haven't seen that from

(45:05):
Pat Mahomes ever. The other timeI've ever seen that is film a Texas
Tech where everyone it was the sameeffect of no one cares teams. It's
just there's no discipline at times.Well, if I'm Andy Reid, i
go in to film Monday morning,I'm passed, Like I'm not gonna sit
there and be like, good job. When's a win, I'd be like,

(45:28):
are you fucking kidding? I'd belike, we almost lost a game
we should have won by forty points. Like, if that's not the tone
of this meeting, then team's doomedbecause they're just frolicking through the NFL season
acting like nothing's gonna happen. They'lljust be a playoffs and win a super
Bowl. But what I've seen isI've seen a week in Chiefs team that

(45:52):
is distracted by this Taylor Swift stuff. Now it's they're in this whirlwind of
a pop cultural phenomena and so reallyfocus on football games. I'm sure they
beat up the Bears. Who caresanybody? Most teams the NFL. I
bet twenty teams in the NFL rightnow, could could just beat the hell
out of the Bears on any givenSunday. Per So, if you're the

(46:15):
Chiefs and you think like you're feelinggood about yourself, you shouldn't. You're
three to one, but you didn'tlook that great against the Jaguars. You
beat up horrible Bears, name, you lost the Lions, and you barely
beat Jets. Who Zach Wilson isa quarterback who over the last couple of
weeks has done nothing, And againthey just and they let the Jets keep

(46:38):
being in the game the whole time. I've never seen anything like it,
especially for defense that's been playing wellfor the Chiefs. So I don't know.
Pat Mahomes one hundred percent should bein prison. He should be put
on trial. That's some coward ballright there, cowerd ball. I mean,
are you that terrified? Here's myquestion. I think Andy reached it

(47:00):
be embarrassing that he knows the spread. Every NFL coach has to know the
spread just as a pride thing.Though, do I really want to lose
the spread to the New York Jetswith half a quarterback. No go for
the touchdown cover. You know everybodyloves the cover. And I, you
know, the Chiefs still the ultimatesupervillain because even when I picked them,

(47:20):
I put the money on them, they still ruin my dad. That's my
rant today. I hope Taylor Swiftcauses the entire team to sink into the
Arrowhead Stadium. I hope she doesn't, but I hope that the microcosm here
is that the Chiefs somehow lose thefirst round of playoffs. I hope they
curse each other. You know,Taylor Swift sells no more albums, Chiefs
win, no more football games.I just hope it's terrible for everyone.

(47:44):
What is do you know how howcrazy that would be. That'd be more
crazy that she doesn't sell another albumthan she's still won another football game.
But you know it's all right. But yeah, I'm with you that she's
aren't looking as good as maybe theyshould right now. I do think there
are some distraction. I will saythat the you know, the team will
be like, oh, no distraction, no distraction. But I'm getting sick

(48:06):
of hearing about I'm not a Chiefsfan. I'm not in it. I'm
getting sick of see in the stuffon Twitter. I'm getting sick of see
and Taylor Swift on the NFL stuff. Like the NFL had to put out
an apology letter saying, hey,we often change our social media stuff,
and we're doing this because of theculture impact. I just I've like I've
gotten so close. I never mutestuff on Twitter. Im muting Taylor Swift
on Twitter. I don't hate TaylorSwift. I think some of our songs
are good, you know whatever,But like, I'm done hearing about this.

(48:28):
I just want it to be over. If I'm hearing that, imagine
what they're hearing, Hey, couldI meet Taylor Swift? If they're like
a cornerback and they're there their girlfriendsasking them they're gonna met Taylor Swift.
Like, I'm sure they're getting allthis crap. I don't it's awful.
I'm sure it's a terrible situation.Yeah, I don't know what if the
NFL social media team realizes what they'veunleashed, I don't. I don't know
how you don't realize that if you'rein social media, what Taylor Swift represents

(48:51):
good or bad like but I justit's fine. I listened to Taylor Swift
music, I went to a concert. I'll fully admit it. It's fine.
I like her as an artist, but I just when I'm trying to
bet something online, I don't needlike there to be a Travis Kelsey special
and have some kind of weird Swiftpun in it. I don't need it.

(49:13):
I don't want it. I'd liketo keep the two, you know,
they don't have to be separate. But you know, let's Taylor Swift
wants to come to an NFL game. That's fine. You know, there's
plenty of celebrities have gone to alot of different sporting events through the years.
I don't need a specific camera forevery time something happens. Well,
just don't I You know, Iwhat if I went to a Taylor Swift

(49:35):
concert just started watching, you know, football on my phone. Wouldn't people
be pissed? I would get attacked. They shouldn't be, because you're not
blocking the view and you're not takingup any They can just walk look out
past you. But I get it, Yeah, I get it. Cecil,
you just gotta get ready. There'sgonna be a civil war in this
this world that is totally based onif you're a Taylor Swift fan or if

(49:57):
you're a football fan, and you'regonna be sitting there in the middle,
you know, trying to figure itout. You know, we'll see where
you end up. But that's what'sgonna happen. That's what we're If it
keeps up at this pace, I'mnot kidding, that's what's gonna tear the
world apart. It's not gonna beany crisis anywhere else in the world.
It's just gonna be Taylor Swift versusfootball. I'm ready for it. Interesting.
Who would have thought that would bethe that will be the apocalypse right

(50:19):
there? All right, let's getto the last game of Week four seas.
We got the Seahawks being the Giantstwenty four to three. Fast turnaround
from going from the Jets to theGiants both playing at home. You know,
the timp Peyton Mannyman, the jokeif Taylor Swift was there for the
Giants game, she left because thatwas this was awful. Devon Witherspoon big
game for the Seahawks and helping themwin twenty four to three, an interception,

(50:43):
pick six, a couple of sacksall over the field for them,
and Daniel Jones. We said, don't give this guy this money. If
you want to pay him something,to pay him twenty five million or something,
not forty playing awfully this year. And to make matters worse, we
have like already had clips of BrianDabele like yelling at him at the sidelines
in a way we don't usually seehead coaches yell at their quarterback, especially

(51:06):
one that's not like a proven starterwhere it's like a give and take.
It's more of just a Brian Dabelejust giving it to him, man.
So this is this is like Ithink Brian Dabeles kind of pissed because he's
stuck with he maly get one chanceto be head coach and he's stuck with
this guy. Whether he wanted itor not, he stuck with this guy
and he did this is not whathe wants to be seeing. Just the

(51:28):
imagery of Dabels screaming at Daniel Jones, I think I could watch that all
day. I think it's cathartic tome to watch someone just yell at Daniel
Jones for not being that good. But yeah, I mean, Giants are
a mess. Also, it's adangerous game. But I've started instead of

(51:49):
teasing down the spreads, I've startedteasing up the spread Giants games. It's
working. I don't know how.It seems like it's defying all logic.
I think Vegas. I don't thinkVegas has a quantifiable reason for how Daniel
Jones is this fucking bad. Idon't think they fitted out yet. I
don't think they know. I thinkthey're starting to panic because too many people

(52:10):
are winning too much money off theGiants being this bad. Like, I'm
like, at what point Vegas isgoing to start losing respect for the Giants?
At some point they're gonna have tobecause I think it was a two
point spread on this game. Iwas just like, I was tempted to
do nine and a half. Ididn't because I was like, that's just

(52:31):
crazy for me to disrespect Vegas islying that much. I did six and
a half and I was pissed Ididn't do more. Yeah, Fando wouldn't
let me do more than ten points, and I'm like, shame on you.
If I want to give you twentydollars to bet on a plus twenty
game. Let me do it.I do not have a problem. These

(52:51):
are very highly thought of bets. These are not made on a whim,
and we're up for the season. That's what matters. So oh yeah,
Giants FIOX still look decent. Imean they're not the best team. The
Giants look like a dumpster fire, but I mean they're still in the thick
of it in the NFC. Soyeah, to your point about gambling,

(53:13):
cease, there's odds out there liketwelve to one that Brock Party is gonna
win the MVP. Right now,I've saw this on Twitter. I'm gonna
steal. I forget who's from.I want to bet the reverse. I
want to bet if you have oddsthat is twelve to one or plus twelve
hundred, right, that means thatthe minus odds would be for him not

(53:35):
winning the MVP would be like minussixteen hundred. That's just how the math
works out. Or excuse me,Yeah, some minus twelve hundred minus sixteen
whatever it is. I did themath before. I don't know what it
all adds up to give me thatI will bet my whole life savings on
Brock Party not winning the MVP.Just you know, just like you said
with the books, let me movethe line up and down as much as

(53:55):
I want. Let me make thesestupid bet where I'm giving you all my
money if I lose, but you'regonna give me a couple hundred dollars if
I win. Just do it forme. Let me gamble my life away.
Stop making this whole responsible thing.Yes, I know I've been on
the app too long. Yes Iknow how many bets I've made. Thank
you boy. I don't need toknow anyway, But yeah, you know,

(54:21):
I think that'll be very interesting.Maybe we need to go to Caesars
and just go. I want tostart betting on anti futures. I don't
want to bet on what's gonna happen. I want to bet on what I
quantifiably think won't happen. Yes,I want to bet on thirty one teams
not to win the Super Bowl.I think it's a fair, fair thing
to do. You don't have togive me great odds. I'm not asking

(54:42):
for that. I'm just telling youthe Bears are not going to win a
super Bowl, and I will betany amount of cash on that. I
think you should be able to betone hundred dollars on the Browns not winning
the Super Bowl and get a sentand return and feel happy about it.
That's all I want. I think. I want to see a bets.
I just want to see all green, all settled, all you were right,
and I want them all to beSuper Bowl future odds that somebody did

(55:06):
not win the Super Bowl on Februarytwelve or whatever, the Super Bowl is
over. Oh boy, that's whyI won. Fair enough, all right,
So let's get to week six picksor Week five picks. Here,
Cees, we have four teams onby the Browns, Chargers and Seahawks and
Buccaneers are on by the Thursday nightgame is a doozy. It is the
Bears and the Commanders. I wonfour Bears at the Commanders. Commanders are

(55:31):
favored by six right now, Cees, Well, Commanders all the way,
Baby, they're scraares. They games. I'll get them that. But Jesus,
the Bears don't even look like they'rein the same league. At least,
the Commanders are in a ton ofgames. You know. I think

(55:53):
did they beat the Broncos this year? Yeah? I think they came back
and won that game. I don'tregardless, Commanders, they're a decent team.
They just aren't good enough yet betthe house on the Commanders to win
this game. It's Thursday night.I know that's scary. All you know,

(56:15):
people will say, don't bet onThursday night. But I cannot,
in good conscience ever tell anybody onto put any red set on the Bears,
not even to cover, not towin, not to do anything.
I don't care if they're like, well, justin fields get twenty rushing yards.
I don't believe they will. Idon't know their offensive coordinator will go,
no to sit in the pocket.I'm gonna put cement on your legs
and you will stand here. Iwouldn't put that out of the realm of

(56:38):
possibilities for the Bears offense at thispoint. You know, it's like the
guy they they're gonna ductate the footballas their running back's arms so he can't
fumble it. Like that's that's thewhat we're starting to get to in the
Bear's mediocrity. It's I feel likewe're out of some kind of like ab
In Costello comedy, Like that's whatwe're getting. They gotta put up a

(56:58):
semblance of a fight. I thoughtthat maybe they were gonna get on track
against the Broncos. It blew it. So zero faith in them. Give
me the Commanders all the way,all right, I am gonna take the
Commanders to win and the Bears withthe points after long thing, I'm gonna

(57:21):
do that because it can't possibly getthis bad it was. We're kind of
already, but like it's a Thursdaynight game. It takes a lot for
me to take a team to coveron Thursday night. Also, the Commanders
I don't think. I mean,maybe push for a playoff spot, but
they're not that great of a team. I mean, they struggled with the
Broncos. Sam, how hasn't lookedthat good? I mean, I don't

(57:44):
know. I think they're The gameagainst Eagles was a great step, sure,
but like they've done it before whenthey've still been a shitty team.
So I'm going Bears with the points. I'm just doing it. I think
it can't be good. Have neverhappened. I will bet this game this
way. Okay, let's put somemoney on all right, me and you
will put some money on it forsure. All Right, we're gonna go

(58:04):
to the Sunday game. This isa International Series game in London, so
we have the Jacksonville Jaguars at theBuffalo Bills, But in London, the
Bills are favored by five and ahalf. Right now, Cees, I'm
gonna pick Bills to win, andI'll take them to cocause it's five and

(58:28):
a half, it's closed. Londonscares me. It's I wouldn't bet on
it. I wouldn't bet on thespread in this game, just because anything
can happen in these games, likeabsolutely anything. Everyone thinks of the chaos
a Thursday, and I believe inthe Thursday. But London's a different level
of Just like people love the JacksonvilleJaguars there, that's a weird thing to

(58:52):
have. It's a weird place peoplein the state of Florida. I don't
care that much about the Jacksonville Jaguars. But yeah, I think it will
be a good game. I thinkit's one I want to tune in for.
I mean, I think the Bills. If this was in Buffalo,
or even in Jacksonville, was inthe United States, I'd say the Bills

(59:13):
win by at least six points. It's no problem. But you're throwing all
these facts. Jacksonville has gotten tostay up there for an extra week too.
That's something that's a big factor aswell as the jacksonvill Jaguars are playing
back back games in London. Theydidn't fly back here. They've been in
London for a whole week. Theacclimated to it. You know, they're
probably at the time of their livesout there, and they're gonna be ready

(59:35):
to play the Buffalo Bills. AndI think this is the first game the
Bills ever done international for a whileanyway, and we'll see how they're able
to handle that time difference everything there, because it is different, and I
mean they just came off an emotionalblowoff winning of the Dolphins. So this
is your traditional looking trap game,so stay away from it. That's what

(59:55):
I'm telling you right now. Ifyou want to get risky, throw some
money on Jaguars bread, you could, but I'm not doing that. Got
into my head. I'm doing Billsto win and cover, all right,
just gonna be different Bills to winand cover. But hammer it go,
put all your money on it gammore responsibly, please. But the Bills
I think are showing that they're avery good team. The Jaguars have a

(01:00:16):
lot of issues to fix. I'mnot sure how many issues you can fix
while you're over in London, justyou know, like two weeks in a
row. I think that's harder todo. But I'll go Bills for three
years. But I'm gonna go Bills. I think they're starting to really hit
their stride. I'm hoping that theydon't hit it too early like they did
last year, where it was like, wow, first seven eight weeks of

(01:00:37):
the season, we didn't think anyonewas gonna beat the Bills. They were
the best team in the league.I'm hoping they don't do that again.
But they look like they're pretty good. You are right, though, in
all seriousness, be cautioned with theLondon games. You never know what's gonna
happen. I am still taking Billsto win and cover like you did.
The Titans at the Colts Colts favoredby one point. Ce's actually the line
has flipped now it is over toTennessee by too see favorite by two.

(01:01:01):
We're going by a couple of differentbooks here. I guess, holy crap,
give me the Colts man at home. Titans are trash like they're they're
gonna think they're good after last week'swin, and yeah, I'm over it.
I don't think they're good. Ithink everyone suddenly thinks so the Titans

(01:01:22):
are back. They're not. Theygot some very lucky, big yardage plays
they were able to capitalize touchdowns on, and they played against a quarterback who
can't throw the ball more twenty yardsin a game. They were down by
three possessions, so yeah, youshould be able to win that game.
Pretty handling the second half, sogood job. But the Colts are unpredictable.

(01:01:43):
Man, They're great. They're funto watch. I mean, Anthony
Richardson's gonna just run the ball ifhe has to. He doesn't care.
So I like the Colts at home. Give me them to win and do
the upset against the somehow juggernaut Titans. So when I do my picks against
the spread, this is probably adifferent sports book, but the Colts were
hiver by one. I picked theColts to win and cover, So I'm
taking the Colts with this too.Like when Anthony Richardson is showing again,

(01:02:07):
it's not going to be clean orperfect every time. That's not why they
took them to be their quarterback. But it's a lot of fun and I'm
with you. The Titans are notvery good. But see if you're like
me and would take the Colts tocover one, I think you maybe you
go find that sports book that's offeringthe Titans minus two and go push that
down to the Colts and making Coltsminus minus two and a half or something

(01:02:29):
like that, and if they winby a field goal, you make your
money. Do that makes have somefun. Houston Texans at the Atlanta Falcons.
Falcons here by two points. Ilike the Texans. I like what
CJ. Stroud's doing. I likehow they've been playing. I think c

(01:02:50):
J. Stroud could throw for alot of yards, and if that happens,
I don't know think the Falcons offensehas a response. Give me the
Houston and the upset Falcons to winand cover not really still another team yet.
Love CJ. Stroud, but weknow it's more than just a quarterback
in this league. I think theFalcons oftimally will get the ball, they'll
run the clock and kill it andmake it more of a time against the

(01:03:12):
clock than even a you know,CHEJ. Stroud playing against the defense type
of game. I'm not a bigfan of the Falcons this year, but
they have improved their defense. Maybethat gets them to win this game,
having the running game in the defense. Next one up, we have the
Carolina Panthers at the Detroit Lions. The Lions are favored by ten points.
Now Lions to win, obviously asa hell of a spreads were pool said

(01:03:46):
let's go Lions to cover. Ithink tens tens. I would tease this
down to nine and a half.Ten is that push where there's a good
chance it's gonna happen. I wouldbe much more comfortable to spread if it
was points. But you know, the Panthers offense has been not very good
at all. Lions defense has actuallyplayed decently well, especially on you know,

(01:04:10):
their secondary. The biggest thing I'mworried about is the Lions offensive times,
especially when they play a good defense, starts to look a little wildly
doesn't look as good. Now thatthat doesn't mean the Lions are going to
lose this game. I don't thinkthat's really a possibility. But the problem
is, I don't know if it'sgonna be an offensive, firepower Jugger night
kind of game where they can justwin by two touchdowns. This might be

(01:04:35):
one where they're playing keep away fromthe Panthers for most of the time,
controlling the clock and just getting sowe'll see. I'm hoping. I think
the Lions can do it. Butthis is one again I would stay away
from that spread as of right,or I'd tease it down. Yeah.
When I made this pick against thespread on the website, it was minus
nine to the Lions. I tookthat. Felt pretty good about it,

(01:04:56):
even though it is weird to pickthe Lions to cover such a big spread.
It's just in your head. Youhave to think about it a couple
of sets, like the Lions what, but I'm doing it. I think
the Panthers offensive line is pretty bad. I think the Lions defensive line is
very good. I think they winthis game by a two scoreres So again,
you're right, probably teases down tonine and a half if you have
to, But I'll take them tocover minus s tensince that's what we're picking

(01:05:17):
on the show here. Baltimore Ravensat the Pittsburgh Steelers. Ravens favored by
four points on the road. Giveme the Ravens to win and covered.
I think they're just in a betterspot as a team than the Steelers are.
The Ravens have been hurt often, sure, but they still have a
decent defense. Lamar Jackson, it'sgonna score them points. Pittsburgh Steelers look

(01:05:42):
like they need to get a bunchof turnovers to get their offense any chance
putting points on the board. Idon't know that's gonna happen against Lamar.
You know it's a tough divisional game, but just I have no faith in
the Steelers offense right now against theRavens. So give me the Ravens to
win and cover a small spread.Ravens wan to cover for me too.
I'm concerned a little bit about theSteelers being at home. They're only home

(01:06:04):
lost the season. Yes, it'stwo games, but it was through the
forty nine Ers, so that oneout the window. And you know the
Mike Tomlin's gonna finish above five hundredthing. I mean, it's it's you're
gonna have to be teams like theRavens if you're gonna get there this year.
For the Steelers, I don't knowif this is the game, but
they'll definitely beat some teams you don'texpect down the stretch. But I'm gonna
go Ravens too. Winning cover herethe New Orleans Saints at the New England

(01:06:26):
Patriots. The Patriots are for everby one at home. I like the
Saints, even if it's famous Gameof South there all the Blazer eyes.
I think I think he's probably gonnastart right, no cars back, cars

(01:06:48):
back and more, all the morereason give me the Saints. I just
I don't trust the Patriots right now. You know they they kind of went
toe to toe against the Eagles andpeople thought they were good. I don't
think they are. I don't thinkthere's eno of a home managed this early
in October. It was later inthe year. New Orleans coming up to

(01:07:08):
Boston would be hard to do becauseof the weather and everything, especially since
they play in a dome. ButI that worried about the Saints in this
game at York. I think theygot roughed up last week. I think
they need to win. I thinkthis is a get right game for him,
and I need to see more fromthe Patriots before and picking him again
confidently. Yeah. I think it'sit's easy to kind of have in the

(01:07:30):
back of your mind, like,oh, the Saints lost to the Bucks
last week, and that's like, you know, that's why they kind of
have the gambling nights what they do. But I do think the Saints will
win this game going on the road. Obviously, if Derek Carr back,
he got back into the swing ofthings, He's still probably banked up a
little bit with that shoulder, sohe's getting used to things. Alvin Kamar's
back getting used to things too.And Mac Jones's issues with the happy feet
and with the bad footwork overall, and then not throwing on the back step

(01:07:54):
of his drop, that's not Idon't think that's fixable in one week.
I mean, yeah, it was. It was caused by Dallas his past
rush at Michael Parsons. But theSaints have a good pass rush too.
I'll go Saints, give me thepoint. I'll take the point too.
New York Giants after Miami Dolphins cease. I'll hold my breath for where you're
going for this one. The Dolphinshere by eleven. Tease that baby up.

(01:08:15):
We're at thirteen and a half.I mean yeah, I would tease
up. If it's eleven, I'dtease up the thirteen and a half and
take it. I mean, anythingabove that's just suicide in the NFL.
But I wouldn't be surprised if theywon this game by twenty one points.
Giants suck like it's it's at inMiami, right yep, So Miami,

(01:08:38):
you know, unless there's some kindof crazy weather coming, I don't know
as of this broadcast. I mean, the Dolphins are gonna be fine.
They're gonna be a great spot.I mean, I think they're gonna be
pissed because they just got blown outby the Bills and now everyone's like,
oh, the Dolphins were fakes.I think Mike McDaniels and the team's gonna
cook up something real special for thehackless Giant. And I think Daniel Jones

(01:09:01):
is gonna be like an absolute idiotonce again, so Dable will be screaming
at the sideline. There will betears. I mean, if we get
Danny Dives a crime onl like television, I think I've really peaked as a
as a podcaster of the NFL.So that's what I'm really hoping for,
Daniel Dimes tears over under on that. I'm gonna set it plus one thousand,

(01:09:24):
so get behind it. You know. In one of the betting websites,
and I'm not talking, you know, we don't have to get a
fan duel right now. It's downthe line. You know, we can
work one with smaller venues. Youknow we're building up, they can build
up with us. There's funny avenues. I got a lot of crazy spreads
I would love to put on theirsports book at they'll out So Danny Dimes

(01:09:45):
tears Dolphin's gonna win. They're gonnawin big tease that baby up. Yeah.
Almost wanted to go with the Giantsagainst the spread, just because I
know everyone's kind of like, oh, it's Dolphins, We're gonna bet Dolphins.
Dolphins cover the spread. Then youlook at I think betters are beating
the house on sixty two percent ofspread bets this year. It's it's it's

(01:10:09):
hey, it's it's the house. It is losing this year. We're going
Dolphins to win and cover big time. Dolphins have such a good offense.
Giants are in no man's land rightnow. Say Quon coming back will help.
Maybe that's the difference in the game, but uh, it's definitely not
enough to win. Maybe cover thespread so the Dolphins will win. I
think they cover the spread too.Yeah, I'm sending you the Jack Nicholson
nodding his head and the departed mein right now, yeah, all right.

(01:10:32):
The evening game cease Philadelphia Eagles atLos Angeles Rams. The Eagles are
favorite by four on the road, and man, this seems like a playoff
game from a couple of years ago. It does, but it doesn't.
At the same time. You shouldwin and cover this game on the road
against LA. That's a little moredifficult. But I trust the Eagles enough

(01:10:58):
to win game by you know, two field goals, So give me Egos
cover. I I'm going to egto win cover too. And again,
I think the only thing that concernsme is just that they have had trouble
covering the spread lately. I don'tread too much into how much the team
is covered, you know, therecords against the spread. Not too much
sometimes I will, but like thatdoes concern me a little bit. But

(01:11:20):
if everything goes right, they shouldbe able to win and cover the spread,
right. And I think a lotof that too is how big is
the threads? Are we talking?Like when you're seeing a three to four
point spread and there people are throwinghow this person doesn't cover the spread when
they usually win a bunch of gamesI go, I don't really care at
that point. You know they're notcovering seven point spreads all the time,

(01:11:43):
or you know, ten point spreads. That's I get it. That's hard
for NFL teams to do. Youknow, a lot of teams can barely
cut when you're so good, you'replaying bad teams. It's hard to necessary
pressure Vegas puts on these games onthe lines. It's not assy's really fair
to how it. Just the NFLgames and competition works. So don't play

(01:12:04):
into it when it's small like that. If you're confident a team should probably
be confident enough to put them infor a three to four point spread.
I agree. And also, ifyou do buy into the records against the
spread, you're putting a whole lotof faith into Vegas with that. And
that's what we're here to do,is to bet against Vegas. That's what
we're trying to do. So Ilove betting against them, all right.

(01:12:25):
Bengals at Cardinals. Bengals favored bythree points. Somehow, Jesus Christ,
they should they should win. Giveme the Bengals to win and cover.
I'm not putting any money on theBengals until further notice never there's nothing,
stay in the hell away. Youcannot find me anywhere near Arizona. I

(01:12:48):
am going to stay as far awayin the desert. I'm gonna go find
a pool in a very lost greeneryto try to stay as far away from
Arizona as possible, both mentally andphysically. So that being said, love
of God, Bengals are a betterteam than the Cardinals, Joe bro if

(01:13:11):
they aim contained his leg still, they might be better than the Cardinals.
They're a better team. They havemore talent. They have a lot of
good players on these teams. TheCardinals are just playing hard. There's gonna
be a lot of Bengals fans atthis Arizona game because it's like the travel
destination game. It seems like ofthe year for them. So with that

(01:13:33):
being said, the Bengals should winthis game. They should have beaten Titans
last week. So I can't goodconscious tell anybody to put any money on
the Bengals until I say it's okay. They need to pass the vibe check.
They're not passing the vibe check rightnow. I want to see him

(01:13:54):
beat the hell out of his Cardinals. I don't want to see them win
by field goal. I don't wantto see them win four points. We
should win this game by a goodamount. Now, Joe Burrow's supposed to
play, I mean, he's inpractice all that stuff. So love of
God, please beat the Cardinals. If they don't, it's time to tank.

(01:14:15):
Yeah, I'm going Bengals to winand cover. It's just how it
should be that Cardinals are trying totank and the Bengals are. Bengals are
not yet, so they should winand cover. I'm trusting in Joe Burrow
saying he feels more comfortable. Themobility is coming back, and hey,
maybe if someone blitzes he can movea little bit, you know, not

(01:14:36):
on him. I know he's hurt, but maybe you can move a little
bit and creative play. T Higginspossibly missing the game has a big effect.
But even then they're still more talented. Just kind of stuff the run
make Josh Dobbs beat you, You'llbe fine. Bengals win and cover with
you sees not putting any money onthis game unless it's just going to rule
that table and just putting all yourmoney on black, which you know my

(01:14:59):
experience one hundred percent hit rate, but that does always work for everyone.
So, yeah, I hit greenthis weekend. It was the worst moment
of my life. Yeah, Ididn't hit green. I didn't bet on
green. But there's nothing worse. So when you put a good amount of
money on a color and then youdon't even get you know, you put
you don't even have a color. You don't even get the odd that's how
it goes. It's fifty fifty odds, you get a punch in the face

(01:15:21):
of the it's forty forty nine andone percent green. There's just like a
dude, a casino worker might aswell just just slap me, oh boy,
empty my wallet and just toss meoutside. Oh boy, that is
worse than anything I've heard of.But yeah, just bet I'm black.
You'll put all your money on theBengals game and just bet I'm black.
Well, just you know that's whatyou want to do. That more fun?

(01:15:44):
Absolutely all right. So the fourto twenty five Eastern Games, we
have the New York Jets at theDenver Broncos. This is notable because the
Sean Payton said some bad things aboutNathaniel Hackett and Daniel Hackett Revenge Bowl,
baby, that's right. Aaron Rodwas gonna make them pay. Now Zach
Wilson's gonna have to make the Broncospay. The Broncos are favored by one

(01:16:05):
and a half points. Oh,this game's awful at least like the like
there's there's different kinds of bad, right, there's entertaining bad, which where
like the Commanders are an up andcoming team against a team that is just

(01:16:27):
bad for no reason, just becausethey've forgotten that their quarterback is one of
the more the athletic players in theNFL. It's kind of funny to watch
how this is just sad bad, this is. Oh, it's depressing.
The Jets have Zach Wilson and saidAaron Rodgers, and the Broncos are just
a mess of just I don't thinkthere's one entertaining thing about the Broncos this

(01:16:53):
year. I think they're dull.I think they're boring. I didn't expect
them to be good. They're notgood. There's nothing they're really that good
at any facet of football this year. They are just very mediocre to blow
average and everything. They're not terribleat anything. It's not good at anything.
They're not even good at being interestinglybad. So that being said,

(01:17:17):
I'm gonna go the Jets and they'regonna build off the momentum. I'm gonna
pick them, picking the Jets here, let's go, let's ride firemanuts.
You know you're getting one from metoday. I'd love to see the Jets
build on something because if they comeout like half the team they did last
week against the Chiefs, they shouldwin the game. Because Russell Wilson's gonna

(01:17:39):
do some lazy, dumb shit too. It's gonna happen. And then when
that happens, the Jets demons willcapitalize. They don't get a pick six
Zach Wilson. Maybe maybe it's afield goal game. This could be a
game where it's just a bunch offield goals, somebody wins nine to six
or twelve to nine or some shit. I don't know, but I like
the Jets in a messy defensive game. Just nobody should watch this, And

(01:18:03):
I think because it's the New Yorkand Denver West Coast market, might be
a lot of people to end uphaving to probably I'm gonna go Jets.
I didn't. It was intrigued bywhat I saw from Zach Wilson. There
is the revenge factor. Their teamwants to get more revenge on the Broncos
than the Broncos want to get onthem, because they weren't the Jets,
weren't the ones saying the stupid thingsabout the Broncos. The Broncos were saying

(01:18:24):
about the Jets. And I'm withyou, I'm not a big fan of
Russell Wilson of this team. Itjust doesn't seem like they're they're going in
the right direction. They cut RandyGregory to focus on younger players. It
just, you know, I couldsee this totally be a let's restart the
whole franchise this offseason after one yearwith Sean Payton. Keep Sean Payton to
let him do the rebuil basically typeof thing. And honestly, I'm just

(01:18:46):
flabbergasted. I'm scrolling through some ofthe ESPN games and I saw that they
took off the weather for some ofthe domed games. I'd like to see
the weather from some of the Domegames. We're gonna get to some here
next, but they took it offfor the Colts game. The Colt it's
like opening the stadium sometime. Idon't care. You can't take off the
weather for us. They make awhole thing about opening that you can't take.
I need to see that stuff. It's really that hard to keep the

(01:19:09):
I feel like it's harder to takethe weather off than is to keep it
on. You know, I probablybecause it's aim they're hooked up the ACCU
weather or something. It's just it'shonestly, probably easier to just go old
them. Here's a GEO tag, give me the weather. But having to
code individual ones, not showing whatyou just made some intern's job way more

(01:19:30):
difficult. Well, I appreciate it. I appreciate the irony of the weather
at the dome. You know what'sgonna happen is they're gonna open They're gonna
open the dome. Indianapolis is gonnaopen the dome and there's gonna be a
rainstorm. You know it's Jim rsaid, it's gonna get wild one night and
he's gonna say, let's let's leaveit open. And I'm I'm gonna I'm
gonna lose it, all right,Vegas is gonna lose their ship. Anyway.

(01:19:53):
I noticed it because the next gamewe're picking. See this is the
Chiefs Vikings and there's no weather thereobviously, but the chief sur favor by
four points, and it's time totest you on whether you think that the
Chiefs are cursed by Taylor Swift ornot. Yeah, first thought here,
technically all places have weather, eveninside a dome, because if you don't

(01:20:14):
have weather, you don't have anatmosphere. So until football is played in
space and a venume there will bean atmosphere. Fun fact, All right,
Isaac Newton, Jesus take that. You're gonna learn something at this football
podcast. Is the Terror Swift real? No, because the curse of Kirk

(01:20:42):
Cousins is even stronger. It's sostrong, it's the strongest of all curses.
Ever. Since the day he saidyou like that, the football gods
have cursed him, saying you willnever ever do anything. You will be
a fraud for the rest of yourlife. That's what they deemed to him.
He is cursed. He has cursedto be a fantasy quarterback that people

(01:21:03):
pick up in desperation. Who goChristian Kirk gets me twenty two points playing
Christian Kirk, or I keep playingKirk Cousins instead, not Christian Kirk.
That would be bad, But Ikeep playing Kirk Cousins until Kirk Cousins get
your five fansy points, because that'swhat's gonna happen to you. Because he's
Kirk Cousins, that's what he does. He doesn't care about your fantasy team.

(01:21:26):
He doesn't care about your life,he doesn't care about family. All
he cares about is winning games byfield goals. That's all he wants,
that's all he cares about. Thatbeing set Sheeves love of God's Terror,
Swift gonna be at this game?Do we know? If she shows up,
I'm gonna start being like this girl'sdoes she have anything else to do
with her life? Like this isthis is my hobby? Like I do

(01:21:49):
this? Like this isn't my lifestyle, This is not Swift's Like I like
the NFL now, I mean it'sa lot of work to fly, say
to the city every Sunday, they'llwatch a game that you probably don't care
that much about. Yeah, I'mwith you. I mean I'm going Chiefs
to win and cover first of all, because I don't believe in the curse

(01:22:10):
either, So that's I'm with youon that second. If she doesn't want
to be an distraction, why notjust like you know, you can start
off and see if this works thefirst time. You just kind of like
you put your hat on and youkind of bring the brim down low,
and you kind of like try towear a neutral color and just kind of
hide in the crowd. You cando that. If that doesn't work,
you're at an NFL stadium. Youcan paint in your face and no one
will know who you are. Ifthat doesn't work, you just go get

(01:22:33):
a laborate costume. Guess what,You're not Chiefs of Hawk, You're the
new Chiefs of Hawk. Taylor Swiftis the new Chiefs of Hawk. You
dress up in that, and guesswhat, you go support your boyfriend or
whatever you guys are calling yourselves withoutanyone knowing you're there, without any distractions,
without me seeing you on the Twitterfeed. That's what you do,
Taylor Swift. You go to theHalloween Express. It's open this month.
I know that, and you canget where's Waldo, Where's Taylor Swift?

(01:22:56):
Right? Right? So just dothat and then we never have to hear
see you again. What's the spreadon this game? It's four points to
the Chiefs, So I'm gonna pickthe Chiefs to win. But here's the
craziest thing. Well, Taylor Swiftis announced she's coming to the game,
will the line move? I don'tknow. The Vikings players already said they're
gonna talk trash to Travis Kelcey abouther. So that's fine, your girlfriend.

(01:23:26):
If I was a defense if Iwas a defensive back er, a
linebacker, every I would think oflike twenty different comebacks related Taylor Swift lyrics
to shout at Travis Kelcey as hegets tacked. Okay, time if there's
an incompletion, like just recite somethinglike you've got to have a bunch of
those in your pocket. You gotto get in his head. And I
think the Chiefs start losing this gameand he's getting yelled at about Taylor Swift

(01:23:50):
stuff. I think he might justlose it. Will he that's my game?
Who knows? What do you doit for Taylor Swift? If the
Swift he's had there, he absolutelywould do it. So but yeah,
I think we're getting to the pointof Swift. Taylor Swift traves Kelsey phenomenon.
But I think her presence will startmoving spreads for gambling lines. I'm

(01:24:15):
swearing to you. I think it'sgonna happen. I think there is a
world now that we are so farinto this that it can affect all facets
of our lives. All right, now, you're starting to sound like Doc
from Back to the Future, allright, with the hair out to hear.
I mean, I get it,but fire like man, I mean,
geez, all right, No,I'm gonna say that I do not

(01:24:36):
know if she's going to be there. I think this is when you take
it's Minnesota. You don't want togo to Minnesota. I mean, come
on, you saw him at hishome play, you know the Chiefs,
saw in the Chiefs at school, you saw stadium, went against the people
in Minnesota. Nothing, but shehas a place in New York. She
went to Travis's home, and shewent to somewhere where she has a house.

(01:24:56):
And you know, the other thingI have against the talk to trash,
you know, trash talk with likehey using song lyrics, and then
those players have to admit that theylisten to her music. And that's kind
of already like a win for Travisat that point. So I don't know.
I think there's plenty of things youcan talk trash about, like they're
probably just sick of seeing it,like dude, like I'd be talking Tom,
like, hey man, I willgive you one hundred grand just to
break up with their sort of haveto see this anymore? Just please stop.

(01:25:19):
Well, here's a question. Ifshe wants show up to the Minnesota
game. Is this just a relationshipof convenience? Like it's easy to go
to a Chiefs game. Everyone witha Travis Kelcey jersey on, everyone's gonna
love you. Easy go to NewYork is everybody already loves you in New
York. You go to Minnesota wearinga cheese jersey, you might get booed?
Is she ready for that? Whatis the what's the protocols? Does

(01:25:43):
One? Does Travis Kelsey have togo to all of her stops on her
tour in the off season? One, I would think, you know,
like maybe a couple of I don'twant to get every stop? And two
what does Siarra do for Russ?Does she go to all the games?
Is their excuse for not going tothe away games that she does like the
cities or she's watching the kids?Like I think we need I think we
need more info here. There's adifference though, you know, they just
started dating, and it's that pointwhere she's got to pretend she likes football.

(01:26:08):
You know, she loves football,so I mean a man who's experienced
there, I got it exactly. So you gotta search games, you gotta
pretend you're interested. Maybe a yeardown the road she goes, honey,
I hate football and I never wantto be in another stupid game again.
Happened? That's love, man.Well that's she did say. That was
her first football game ever, somaybe she does hate it. All right,

(01:26:33):
So that's enough at Tailor's. Ihate the Taylor Swift talk. Yet
we're doing it, and I hateit. I hate it. I hate
it. I hated So we're gonnamove on to the Sunday night football game,
which is one of the best gamesof the year, one of the
best games of the schedule. Yougot the historic rivalry, you got two
good teams. Right now to thebest teams in the NFC or in the
league as a whole, Tallas Cowboysat the San Francisco forty nine Ers.

(01:26:53):
It is a four point spread infavor of the forty nine Ers right now,
seas give me forty nine ers towin. Obtaining the Cowboys with the
points right now, I'm doing spreadhere. Here's why I think the Cowboys
just cannot beat the Niners. Idon't know what the hell happens, but
it just seems like what he's Here'swhat happens. It's Mike McCarthy. Okay,

(01:27:16):
it's that man. It's that man'shorrible cloth management, his ability to
be aggressive. I really just knowwhat's going on. Half the time they've
lost multiple games to Mike McCarthy justlooks lost, and Kyle Shanahan is on
top of every move. So ifyou want to talk about two teams that
are great, and the reason whyone people are hesitant to say you're gonna

(01:27:39):
be in the super Bowl, it'sbecause of Thattman right there, that man,
when the chips are down, Iwould Mike McCarthy is definitely in the
bottom half of coaches the NFL.I'm not gonna say like bottom ten or
do something mean and vindictive, becausethere's a lot of NFL coaches that who
knows, there are a lot ofun it's out there. But I just

(01:28:00):
know when it comes to coaching, who has he had in this game?
It's gonna be the Timpson to scoreforty nine ers they have a good team,
the defense has still been playing reallywell so far, and Christian McCaffery
has been playing unreal brock perty again, if he keeps playing this kind of
you know, airless football where hejust know takes care of football, you

(01:28:21):
know, hits his marks of places, and you know, we're in a
game and it's close, I thinkthe four yards pulled out. In a
close one, they might win bya field goal. Honestly, it might
be a last second field goal ora touchdown to go up. So maybe
you take Cowboys plus four and ahalf. I don't think that's a bad
idea in this case. But ifit's four, I'm taking the Cowboys as

(01:28:44):
well, and I'm probably assume it'sgoing to be a push. So that
being said, great matchup. I'msuper excited for it, and I just
think Mike McCarthy and his mismanagement isgoing to come into play to cost him.
Yeah, despite what the resident packat the game House rights in his
articles, this is one of thetwo or three if you prefer the Cowboys

(01:29:04):
Eagles later the season best Sunday nightfootball matchups of the season, along with
the Bengals and Bills. Of course, now the Bengals Bills looks like a
bad pick because the Bengals stink,But before the season that would have been
the pick. But I've seen thismovie too many times. Forty nine ers
to win and cover. Maybe ifthe Cowboys were hosting, I'd feel differently.
I'm pretty hyped up after that wholeawesome defensive performance. But the way

(01:29:29):
the forty nine ers are playing rightnow, they're gonna lose at some point.
We're not gonna expect it. Maybethat's the list is the week it
happens, But I'm gonna go withthem to win and cover. They're at
home. Brock Party's playing well.None of their pieces, Like you know,
usually with the forty nine ers havekind of concerned because they have injuries
going on. No one's gotten hurttoo badly yet, which is a good
thing. I want to see allthe players stay healthy, but like that's
kind of like the downfall of theirteam is like they have George Kittle always

(01:29:51):
gets hurt, Christian McCaffrey always gethurt, Trent Williams is kind of old,
Deebo Samuel has injuries piling up.The quarterbacks last year all got hurt
at the wrong time. So that'snot happening right now. I'm gonna be
forty nine ers to win a cover. Yeah, but think what's all the
rage in Hollywood right now? Youknow, prequels, legacy sequels. Oh
so, I mean what all ofus have in common? They all seem

(01:30:14):
the same. You know, we'veseen this story a bunch of times,
right, cowboys screw it up inthe end. But maybe the twist this
time is that the Cowboys pull itout in the playoffs. No, they're
gonna win in the playoffs this time, and probably No, that's not how
it works, man. You know, it's always it's the same in the
end, but the beginning it's different. To grab you in you're gonna get

(01:30:35):
grabbed the pool on this weekend,Joe, you're gonna think you're right.
The Dallas Cowboys are gonna win theSewer Bowl this year, and then they're
gonna take it from me again. This is Rocky two in the playoffs.
This is Rocky two, Jerry World, They're gonna rip your heart out,
Rocky two. This is Rocky twotelling you they're gonna win in the end.
But no, you're right. Ingeneral, it's the same thing.

(01:30:56):
The Packers had the same issue. They couldn't beat the forty nine ers.
They couldn't meet Tom Brady when hewas Bucks. And the Cowboys have the
same issue. They can't beat thePackers when Aaron Rodgers is there. They
can't beat the forty nine Ers.Those are the two teams they struggled with,
and that's why they don't want aSuper Bowl. That's why the Packers
only wonon Super Bowl. It's justyou got to get over these mental hurdles.
Man, I hate it. Ihate it, but forty nine Ers
winn. To cover your pick's probablyfind two on a more on paper basis,
but I'm too scarred to pick differently. All Right, Packers and Raiders

(01:31:20):
Monday Night Football. Packers favored byone on the road. Not excited for
this matchup? Cease, what doyou think? Give me the Packers?
Sure? What the hell? Andthis is what I'm not betting on.
I would never bet on this gamebecause I'll pay for the Packers are better.
Jordan lu thrown for a good amountof passing yards. He's looked okay

(01:31:43):
at times. That being said, the Raiders are a weird team too that
can be competitive all of a suddenin certain games and that you know it's
in Las veg. You know, may Packers just lose it on in prime
time. But they should win thisgame. The Packer the advantaged. They
should win and cover the one pointspread obviously, so give me another winning

(01:32:06):
cover. But again, stay awayfrom this black hole of the game,
so to speak. You said blackhole. So I'm going Raiders Raiders with
the one point whatever it is.I think the Raiders will be favored by
like three or four if anyone butJosh McDaniels was the coach too, I
think that's it. And tease itup, Yeah, tease it up,

(01:32:29):
but they gotta fire him first,so I don't know. So the they're
a good team. You know, they have some of the pieces they had
over the last couple of years. The Packers are still like unsure about how
good I think they are. Thisis, as you said, it's a
coin flip game. I'm saying awayfrom betting wise. I'll take the Raiders
because they're at home. I haveno faith in either team, especially the
way these offenses have been run.As you mentioned Aaron Jones's usage over his

(01:32:51):
whole career, but specifically last weekand the Raiders. Josh Jacobs usage has
been weird. Josh McDaniels is justkind of a weird head coach. I
don't know. It's I'll go Raiders, no faith in it, zero faith?
All right, So you seen anyfinal thoughts for the week? Well
two? Actually is Josh McDaniels theeric of Billy Madison fame? Are they

(01:33:15):
the same as his style? Ishe kind of just there like he's kind
of annoying. He thinks he shouldbe like in charge of the Raiders and
he should be a head coach somewhere, But he's really just a little weasel.
I don't know things to think onthis next week as you're watching the
Raves package game, Teasing up spreadsunlocks a whole new level of gambling.
Folks. Try it sometime. It'llchange your whole life. When you just

(01:33:40):
go, you gotta have some cajonesto go tell Vegas, guess what your
line sucks. Here's a better one. Once you it's it's like it's like
taking the taking the red pill man. You know, you see through Vegas,
you see a bunch of ones andzeros, you know, plus one
hundred plus two hundred, you see, right, there in front of you,

(01:34:00):
So break through the matrix. Don'tlive on the spread. Vegas is
enhance your experience, all right. So my final thought is if anyone has
a way to have Cecil tell hisfiance that he lost all his money gambling
because he teased the spreads down andup all time, all the honeymoon fund,
that they can't go on their honeymoon, make sure to let us know

(01:34:23):
we need we're gonna need that fornext week. Sorry, only good vibes.
He's gonna hit all this bets. He's gonna double the honeymoon fun.
That's how we're going on, allright, That's all we have this week.
By turning to remind everyone that willbe back next week for sure,
we're gonna recap week five, previewWeek six, and get into our picks
for it as well. For now, thanks for watching. We'll see you
guys next time. Thanks guys,
