(00:01):
Hello, and welcome to the thirdand the Don Football Show. I'm Joe
with me Cecil as always, hereto talks some NFL football. As always,
we have a recap of week sevena preview of week eight coming up.
Cecil, how are you doing?Oh, I'm fantastic, really interesting
week of football and you know, let's get down to it. There's some

(00:21):
crazy stuff to talk about for thisweek as well, especially in the world
of spreads. Absolutely last week wasnot the greatest week for gambling. For
me personally, you had a parlaythat hit, But for spreads, I
think it was tough and as youmentioned, this week, spreads just got
totally i think thrown off because ofit. We're gonna get into it a
little bit here, but let's startit off with our recap of week seven,

(00:44):
and we'll start with Thursday Night football. It was the Jaguars and Saints,
which isn't the worst Thursday night footballmatchup on paper. The Jaguars end
up winning thirty one to twenty four, and honestly, they controlled the game.
The Saints tried to come back late, but their offense is so dysfunctional.
Alvin kamarad twelve receptions because all theycould do is dump off passes to
them. God bless you if youplay PPR scoring in fantasy football. I

(01:06):
know that's the common thing nowadays, but oh my god, twelve receptions for
one player just on dump offfs isannoying as hell. But yeah, Derek
Carr is bad, and it's justlike garbage time points to kind of make
it look close fit fifteen fourth quarterpoints. Good win for the Jaguars.
They're on a role now. Ithink they've won to let four straight.
But for the Saints, Derek Carr'snot looking good. They have way more

(01:32):
talent than their showing in the recordat three and four right now. And
I think we already knew this cominginto the season. But Dennis Allen's a
bad coach and probably should be fired. Cecil. Yeah, Dennis Allen,
you know, was a good defensivecoordinator, but I mean, and the
Saints defense has been good for alot of years, but it just seemed
like one of those classic you know, a good head coach leaves or retires

(01:55):
or whatnot, and then his heirapparent is just not really any good good.
You know, you look at theJim Caldwell's of the world. You
know people like that where it's likeI've got somebody in place to replace me,
it'll be fine, and that guyis just not good at all,
and you're almost like, how thehell did he really think this guy was
good? Tennis Allen seemed to fitthat mode of you know, he's just

(02:17):
not the successor everyone thinks he's supposedto be. That being he said,
Yeah, the Saints' offense is dysfunctional. To put it lightly basically, I
mean I've seen Derek Carr like multipletimes through that game just being so angry
at the receiving corps. I meanhe was literally like screaming. It was
insane. I mean, it justweren't connecting on anything. You know,

(02:40):
receivers were stopping on their routes whenyou know they could have had, you
know, a big play. Youknow, it was a lave was Michael
Thomas. You know, everyone kindof had some blame in that offense.
Al Kamara, like you said, had a good game because he's just kind
of get dumped off at old times, you know. So the Saints disarrange.
Honestly, they almost did tie itup with foss Moreau. If he

(03:01):
had just caught that pass, heprobably should have. You know, it
sucks, especially considering everything he's gonethrough over the last year, you know,
recovering from cancer and all that.I mean, that's it's unfortunate to
see that happen to someone like that. But on the flip side, I
mean Jaguars, I mean they lookedpretty good. Travis Lawrence or Trevor Lawrence.

(03:23):
Trevor Lawrence. You know, itdidn't look like his leg was really
inhibiting him that much. You know, he's able to make a couple of
runs. You know, he washitting passes with all the different receivers and
also you know, Travis etn isreally kind of taking hold in that backfield.
You know, multiple touchdowns over multipleweeks now, you know he's really

(03:46):
involved, especially in the red zoneand you know pass catch, you know,
running the ball. He's kind ofbeen there. Complete back like him
to get some more yards at times. But I mean, overall, this
Jaguars offense is good, not great, and their defense is probably around the
same thing. It's probably good there. You know, they're just a solid

(04:08):
NFL team, which in well,we looked through the landscape over the last
couple of weeks so far, youknow, almost at the halfway point in
the NFL season, good can getsome pretty far, it feels like so,
and that seems to be what theJacksonville Jaguars are right now. They're
not a great team, but they'rea good team in a not very good
division, so they have an easypath to the playoffs and you just never

(04:30):
know what can happen once you getthere. Kind of deals, it's sometimes
it's just as easy as you know, punching your ticket and then the real
fight begins. Yeah, and impressivefor the Jaguars too. I mentioned that
they're on a four game win streak. They had two of their weeks in
London already, so they lost twohome games already this season, but two
of their wins coming in London ishuge for them. I think five and

(04:55):
two looking at maybe a good endof the season run here in a team
that maybe in the AFC playoffs whereit's gonna be, you know, all
these great teams facing off. Wethink, at least this preseason we thought
was gonna happen. They could bea team that surprises people again like they
did to the Chargers this past year. And for ETN too, I've heard
a lot of people say he's probablyin terms of maybe because of his availability
to the second best running back inthe league behind Christian McCaffrey. This year,

(05:19):
he's played out of his mind anddefinitely deserves some credit there. All
right, we'll go to Sunday, the Las Vegas Raiders at the Chicago Bears.
The Bears win thirty to twelve. Now, this was Tyson Bagent's first
NFL star. It might end upbeing his only NFL start, because you
know how this works. He's undraftedrookie from Sheppard University. His last start

(05:40):
was against the Colorado School of theMines where he threw I think three interceptions.
So there you go. He stepsinto the starting lineup, has a
solid day. They simplify the playbookand honestly, Deontay Foreman, who has
three total touchdowns, two rushing andone receiving, really helps him out.
And it makes you wonder why theydon't do that for justin fields. But
still, Tyson Bagent had a prettygood, pretty good game. The Raiders

(06:01):
had starting starting quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo outto Brian Horrier started aid and O'Connell got
in late, but that was gamewas already over by that point. Maybe
would have liked to see that alittle bit flipped there, But Josh McDaniel
still stinks. I don't know whythey're still targeting Jacobe Myers like he's some
number one receiver when they have DevantaAdams on the field. The Raiders are
a mess. I don't think they'regonna win too many games the rest of
the year. I don't think theBears are either. But great story for

(06:25):
Tyson Bagent. You know, wetalked about him leading up to this game,
and you got to give him somecredit. I mean, it was
one hundred and sixty two yards.Passing is at the greatest cease, but
at least you got the job done. It's true, man, you know,
Tyson Bajor. You know, thiswill reminded me of Lin Sandy back
in the day. You know,we're you know, we're doing a cross
reference here. We had minshew Mania, but minshew Mania was a little just

(06:45):
crazy, him just chucking the balloff. This is this reminds you of
like Jeremy Lynn New York Knicks, the savior of New York Sports, like
Tyson Badget that for the Chicago SportsWorld, Kenny Shoulder that I don't know,
probably not. It's probably another likehe won this game, we may
never hear from the man ever again. He'll become a Chicago sports legend because

(07:08):
of it, and that's awesome.Or maybe if he pulls off another upset
win, I will just praise thatban until the end of time. Then
again, the guy's a D twoprospect. I don't know how the hell
the Raiders are just in such disarray. Ryan Hoyer could not move the ball
to save his life. Like we'retalking, can't fucking throw a ball past

(07:31):
you know, the ten yard line, like just straight up, you know,
basically the reps are throwing past interferencecalls on uncatchable balls because they're underthrown.
And it's just it's sad to lookat. You have DeVante Adams.
Kobe Myers is not a bad numbertwo receiver in the NFL. He's not
great, but he's he's decent. He's startable. You can work with that.

(07:54):
And you have DeVante Adams there, but you never used DeVante Adams.
You know, you get that DevantaAdams is on this team by how much
Jacoby Myers gets the ball grown tohim. That's how weird it is.
I mean, and the Bears defenseisn't some you know, steel trap.
You know they don't have you know, a sauce gardener garden DeVante Adams or
something. There's nobody. The defenseisn't good. So a lot of question

(08:20):
marks there. Uh. You know, if I'm Josh McDaniels, you know,
I'm really questioning what I'm doing withthis team too, because as we've
seen a lot of the NFL,you got to get the ball on your
star players. I don't know manytimes we have to tell you this,
but Jesus Christ, throw the ballthe guy you're paying, you know,
over twenty million dollars a year tocatch the ball. And if Brian Hoyer

(08:41):
can't do that, get An o'collumback in there, because that guy looked
good in preseason. He showed heplayed decently in relief while Garoppolo was hurt.
Put the kid in there, Putthe rookie in there. See if
you got something, because a lotof people have said, you know,
see what An O'Connell's got. Andif if it's not it, you know,
then you move on. Or maybeyou found somebody they can actually play

(09:03):
games to the quarterback position, becauseJimmy Roppo can can't stay healthy and he's
a stop gap. Anyway, givethe rookie a shot. I mean,
honestly, it can't be any worsethan Brian Horror. As much as I
love Brian Hoyer, we all knowthat I do love me some Ad and
O'Connell, and it's just very apparentat this point Brian Horry's career that Aiden

(09:24):
connell has a better chance of winningfootball games from the Las Vegas Raiders.
Yeah. One note on Mark Davis, the Raiders owner. He did get
a championship this past week. Hehad the Las Vegas Aces of the WNBA
win the championship. It's funny howI think he's less involved in that.
Maybe that's the key taking on yourremoving yourself a little bit. And I

(09:46):
just want to say, like JoshMcDaniels, he would be fired if Mark
Davis had the money. That's abig rumor going out there at least.
But they keep on missing in thedraft. So like they hit like once
in a while, like Max Crosbywas a huge hit for a mid round
pick, and he's playing awesome andhe's arguably like defensive Player of the year
good this year. But this yearwe talked about it. The first round
pick top ten was Tyree Wilson. And see, so we talked in the

(10:09):
draft like all he did in collegewas he just won because he was bigger
than everyone. He's in the pros. Now you're not a Texas Tech anymore.
You picked a top ten player whoI'm not a helmet scout. I
don't say, hey, this guywent to this college, but a defensive
player from Texas Tech and the topten who all he does is win by
being big. That guy hasn't doneanything yet for you. So if you're
gonna have a team that you wantto win, you know, first of
all, get better players, butsecond of all draft better players do a

(10:33):
better job evaluating. So it's justlike an organizational failure at this point.
And I think we're kind of seeingthat. Like maybe they when they had
Derek Carr a couple of years agomade the playoffs. With how they operate,
that's maybe the max they can dountil something changes in that inside that
organization, probably starting with Josh mccaniel'sgetting fired after only coaching for a year
and a half. Now I'm tellingyou, man, let the Vegas Casinos

(10:54):
have the franchise. Mark Davis.Just put it down on the roulette table,
put it on black. Figure outif you have enough money then to
you know, revamp your franchise, hire as guidance department, fire Josh McDaniels,
or just let the casinos do it. They'll do a better job.
Oh absolutely, it'd be fun too. Would have to go through a lot
of allegations of fixing games. Butyou know, I think it's the controversy

(11:16):
be the public. Steve be goodfor the league. So let's move on
to the Browns and Colts. TheBrowns win this one thirty nine to thirty
eight. Cream Hunt has a latetouchdown for them. Jerome Ford had gone
out with an injury. A creamHunt ended up having two touchdowns to help
them get the win. Cease becausewe are big weather guys here. This

(11:37):
is the first loss that they've everhad in Lucas Oil Stadium when the roof
is open but the windows are closed. I think they're ten and one now,
So that's something to know. Yougot to keep that in mind for
the gambling. But this the Brownshad Deshaun Watson start the game. He
at one point he had two interceptions. He had more interceptions and completions.
I believe at some point it wasoff. He is now out this week.

(12:01):
There he said he's out this upcomingweek. PJ. Walker is going
to start. He has a negativeEPA expected points added per play. He's
a negative one for the season, and they're playing better with him at quarterback
than Deshaun Watson. I mean,if Watson misses a lot extended time,
it's probably not positive for the Browns. But they should be going to the
trade market to try to get oneof these quarterbacks four and two because of

(12:22):
that defense. Even though the defensewould have done a little bit in this
one, but they get to win. That's the important thing. It's just
doesn't look good at all. Yeah, I mean the defense is elite.
That's just easy enough to say atthis point. Though they did give up
a lot of plays to a Coltsteam that they probably shouldn't of so you
take that as you will. They'rethey're really good at creating pressure and making

(12:46):
mistakes. Deshaun Watson is not theanswer. Like I just I know you
know it. I know I knowit. I know most people seem to
know it. The only person doesn'tseem to be the national media and whoever's
broadcasting any Cleveland Browns game, becauselove of I just like the excuse can't
be I know, he gets hurt, sure, but the excuse can't just

(13:07):
be like, oh, you know, his shoulder's not feeling well, Like
this isn't a shoulder thing. Thisis I'm throwing balls directly like I'm just
I'm just literally sending just bull said, I don't care who knows where the
ball's going. You can look rightat me and I will tell you where
it's going. All you gotta dois run over there, like I just

(13:28):
it's just not a good Like literally, we were watching the game together.
You can call this one right beforeDeshaun Watson got hurt. It's same play.
He rolls out of Pogey, startsaround. I just go it's it's
an interception. And it literally almostwas, you know, until it got
overturned. You know, it's literallygonna be either a big play. It's
big play one or the other way. He's either gonna get a forty yard

(13:48):
completion or it's gonna be an interceptionbecause Deshaun Watson can't do anything besides those
two things, and that doesn't winyou games in the NFL, Jay.
If that's the case, we shouldput Jameis Winston back in there. Put
Jamison. You know, Jameis andthe Browns. I don't want you.
I don't want laser eyes on theBrowns because I love them too much.
I don't want to root against him. But Jesus, like, that's the

(14:11):
same thing. I don't understand whyJames Winston is so bad but Deshaun Watson
is good. I don't understand whythe NFL is trying to like build this
guy up. I know, youknow, we could go over NFL conspiracy
time all the time, but consideringthe character history, they just want the
Browns to be good, so badas a market for them, I think
I think that's the narrative because ofeverything else points to why the hell does

(14:33):
the NFL want Deshaun Watson to succeed. It seems like a nightmare, But
I think they just want the brownThey want the storyline of the Browns finally
becoming a good franchise. I justit won't happen until that front office just
stops doing stupid shit like this whereDeshaun Watson is the savior of the franchise.

(14:56):
In reality, I mean the BrianHoyer effect. Right, we all
remember that year Bryan Hoyer was thestarting quarterback. They were seven and five.
They put you know, Johnny Manzelanand then the season went caput from
there. The same thing, like, they don't necessarily have to have this
elite guy. They don't have theguy, and a lot of NFL teams

(15:18):
make this mistake of when you don'thave the guy, it's better to have
a guy that can manage you gamethan a guy who's just gonna go out
there and lose it for you, like make him a non factor. Jimmy
Garoppolo got to a Super Bowl. Her cousins wins twelve games a year.
These guys aren't winning super Bowls. But man, I mean, you got
a defense like that, you don'tneed them to you really don't. Trent

(15:41):
Delfer won a Super Bowl. Theycan do that, and they're gonna do
that with p J. Walker.I don't think so. But could you
do with someone marginally better? Ithink so. Just take care of the
football. Your defense will keep youin games. Stefanski knows how to run
an offense. When it comes tothe running game, passing offense a little

(16:02):
questionable, and they have a goodoffensive line that can keep the quarterback clean
and open run lanes. So Imean that's a winning formula, you know,
Is it gets you to a superBowl? It's hard to say.
You know, there's just so manythings and variables depending on who you play,
matchups, you know, playoffs thatreally can be anything, especially what
we're looking at with teams now.But I mean, the Cleveland Browns can't

(16:25):
lose games like they almost lost theColts here. The Colts are not a
good team. They're they're fun towatch. I like watching them, but
they're not a playoff call caliber team. And you know, Cleveland's defense can't
keep them in games against elite teamsalways. They can't hope for pouring rain,
especially once it gets the winner. It's not gonna rain like that.
I mean, these are always weird. It's all it's Cleveland. It's gonna

(16:48):
just start snowing and then the snow. The defensive linemen aren't gonna get the
same traction and they're not gonna beable to rush the passer like they are
now and just take people out.So to Shaun Watson, not the guy
get another win? Is it gonnaend up with them making the playoffs.
I mean, they probably could. They could win the AFC North right now,
just because of the way things aregoing in that division. But will

(17:10):
that mean long term success as afranchise or you know, success in the
postseason. I don't really think so. I'm with you. See I misspoke
earlier. He only had one interceptionthrown in this game. He was one
of five with an interception. Ibelieve one got a returned. There's a
big challenge on that one. Ibelieve, you know, the best quarterback
for this team right now is theone they had last year, Jacoby Brissett.

(17:32):
If you put Jacoby Pressett with thisteam, with this defense, they're
doing way better. And we sawit last year. Jacoby present outplayed Deshaun
Watson. I get that you paidDeshaun Watson, so now you kind of
have are stuck with them, ButJacoby Brissette was playing well. You need
to go get someone like Jacoby Brissettfor the rest of the season. If
Deshaun Watson's gonna miss time, itnot prove which again, he hasn't showed
any signs of being good before theinjury last year or this year. It

(17:55):
doesn't seem like it's gonna work outin the end. They do have an
easier schedule obviously for finishing last somany times. But the they have,
I mean, it's just it's it'sa it's not a winning formula to sit
here and say, hey, thisdefense is gonna hold it up all the
time. Because they nearly lost tothe Colts, who they allowed Gardner Minshew
to score thirty eight points. AndI'm a big Minshew guy. But they're

(18:15):
not the Chiefs, all right,They're just they're not so hey, man,
just remember two years ago they hada quarterback that won them a playoff
game, and you know, theylost a game against the Kansa you know,
prime Kansas City Chiefs. That's that'swhat happened. That was the team
they had. Baker Mayfield. BakerMayfield's doing just flying in Tampa right now.

(18:36):
You know, they're fighting in theNFC South. I mean, imagine
if Baker Mayfield chose to stay onthis team, man like Baker Mayfield would
be, I would be very muchmore confident in this Browns seed just ultimate
because Baker Mayfield wouldn't have to domuch of anything, just had to hold
on the football, do some rollouts, on some you know, play action
pace and just throw it deep everyonce in a while. Other than that,

(18:57):
just just keep taking the throws andBaker Mayfield can do that. So
again, they should have never wesaid it from the beginning, moving on
from Baker Mayfield to Morre's a franchisefor the hope that Kashaun Watson maybe be
good again, which was already quantifiablyquite a questionable that he was really ever
elite to begin with. It wasa bad move and again it's got up

(19:19):
at Cleveland for years. But Ceci'sa winner anyway. Yeah, go on
the trademarket, bra if you're seriousabout about making the playoffs. I mean,
you have a good start to theseason, the defense looks good.
Go on the trademarket. Go getyou Kobe Brissett, Hell, go for
the moon andge giget Kirk Cousins ifyou want, if you can find a
way to afford it. Kevin Stefanskiworked with him before he took the job

(19:41):
for the Browns to get someone becauseyou're not gonna get very far the rest
of the way if you can't getthis offense moving better than you have,
and you're already down to your thirdoption running back with Kreemhunk as room Ford,
I think is gonna miss some timehere. It's it's not gonna be
the smoothest once the injury start pilingup, because they'renna start filing up for
all the teams. It's not justBrowns, but every team's gonna start having
them, and that's gonna make thingstough. One of the teams who's been

(20:04):
having a tough time with injuries andalso just playing bad, the Buffalo Bills.
They lose to the New England Patriots. They lose twenty nine to twenty
five. Now, they needed toscore a lot of points in the second
half to kind of come back inthis one because the Patriots took an early
lead, but they were unable tocome back back fully. Mac Jones actually

(20:25):
played well in this one, twohundred and seventy two yards and two touchdowns.
And I do think that Bill Belichickhas his three hundredth win, even
though he didn't celebrate it. Afterthe game, they asked him about it
and he's like, I'm more focusedon this team, and I'm like,
that's kind of weird. I mean, this dude loves the history of the
NFL. He should say something, but Josh Allen had another interception. Cecil,

(20:45):
I know you had some thoughts onthe Bills, So I'm just going
to clear out here and say first, I'll say one last thing. This
is a travesty. You lost tothe fricking Patriots like this. I know
it's Bill Belichick, but come on, man, Bill's got to do better
than that. Yeah, man,I said it while we're I said if
the result was a Patriots when Iwould say it. I think the Bills
are in the fraud category right now. I think they're frauds. I mean,

(21:10):
they just they do not look likethe team they look like two years
ago or even last year. Youknow, kind of the magic with Josh
Allen is is fleet day. Youknow, there are times where he makes
these crazy backyard catches, but reallyit's just it's just predictable now and the
glaring holes and the rest of hisgame where it's making the intermediate throws,

(21:32):
making just the normal throws you needto make, or just you know,
the offense being able to put togethersomething that's just a sustainable, long term
drive with Josh Allen just moving theball methodically, is it not happening right
now. You're just praying that StefonDiggs gets a big pass and teams,
especially like the Patriots, but BillBelichick is notorious for years to just get

(21:55):
rid of your best option to forceyou to win without it. The Bills
show when that happens, they donot don't really have a plan. They
don't have a plan. B JoshAllen is I mean, I'm not gonna
say Josh Allen isn't great. Ithink Josh Allen is a great quarterback in
this league. I think he's thetop five. However, I think the
game planning isn't there to really makeit easier for him. And two,

(22:17):
I think he just keeps making boneheadeddecisions. It's all the talent in the
world, but man, the guyjust is just trying to make stuff out
of things he doesn't need to do. Like he doesn't have to do.
Is the Bills are talented enough towin games, while Josh Allen just trying
to throw it like and he'll havethese games. Right. He saw the
Dolphins game. You know, wesaw old Josh Allen. We saw the

(22:37):
Buffalo Bills from two years ago.Again, just pop up and they'll do
that. They're gonna pop up everyonce in a while, but the reality
is, you know, that's nota good team, and like for us
to just put Buffalo in this like, oh, they're a great you know,
they're a playoff caliber team. Imean, they're probably gonna make the
playoffs just because of the reality. But the reality here too is if they
play like this, they are notgonna advance in the playoffs any easy first

(23:00):
out, just like the Vikings werelast year. I mean, congrats,
you can beat up on some teams. That's great. You look good at
points, but there's other times whereyou just look awful, and against teams
that you don't need to look awfulagainst. I mean, you barely were
able to put a functioning offense againstthe New York Giants team that literally is
been a dumpster fire. People havebeen destroying week after week and you can

(23:23):
barely win. I mean, hell, they almost won the game, they
were on the goal line. Youalmost lost. And then the Patriots you
just got embarrassed by. That's twoembarrassing games in a row for a team.
You know, they did not comeout firing in this one. They
got beat up, they got youknow, ten zero, they went up
on them. So I just don'tsee a fire of this team. I

(23:45):
don't know what Sean McDermott needs todo, but he needs to motivate this
team fast because they are going intoa weird skid. And for a team
of this much talent, I getto get injuries. You know, Matt
Milana has been out. You knowthey've lost your Davius White, but they
lost her Davius White last year andthey were fine. Team can't stop the
run, and the offense is notsomething that's functioning. They can't rely on

(24:06):
Josh Allen to just make big timethrows because every time if you're forcing that
on him, he's gonna make bigtime mistakes as well. Don't let that
be the ride or die of youroffense. If you're in a game in
the playoffs and it's gonna be we'reeither gonna win or lose it by Josh
Allen because you know we're against theteam that's super talented, like the Kansay
Chiefs. Fine, go for it, let's see what happens. But this

(24:27):
is the NFL regular season. Yougot to be able to have some kind
of tempo, something you're building on. I mean, these teams aren't that
unbeatable, so they're in the frogcategory until further notice. They got to
start doing something or I mean it'sthe AC East is not the strongest division
by any means. But I mean, they've lost the Jets, now,

(24:48):
they lost the Patriots, they almostlost the Giants. You know, they
beat the Dolphins in that game, but they're not winning the AC East.
In my eyes right now, Ithink the Dolphins all they gonna do is
beat Buffalo this next time. TheDolphins are gonna win the Acast and then
the Bills are in a dogfight witheverybody else for the wild cards. The
way the Bills are playing right now, they may not even have to beat
the Bills next time. I couldjust maybe win it. But yeah,

(25:11):
I not to bring everything back tothe draft, but everything is about the
draft. Secil. They had achance in this draft in the past two
drafts upgrade at wide receiver two,at wide receiver three, whatever they needed
to do to get someone outside ofStefan Digs for Josh Allen, and they
didn't do it. Gabe Davis inthis game one catch for six yards.
This is the guy all those fantasyanalysts, Oh, he's so great,

(25:33):
he's so great. No, hehas one good game and then he has
one terrible game, and then anothergood game and then three bad games.
And that's not what you need. You need someone more consistent than that.
Now, they took Dalton Kincaid, but they didn't like and he had he
had an okay game, eight catchesfor seventy five yards. Don't get me
wrong, he's still rookie learning things. But they didn't need They had Dawson
Knox, who was fine, Like, go get this someone. Go get

(25:56):
someone else who can take some ofthe attention away from Stefan Diggs or the
running game too. You need awide receiver too badly. We talked about
how important just having good players onthese teams matters. And I can't sit
there and say, hey, youjust keep on running Gabe Davis out there.
And also you go re sign ColeBeasley last year and that's your big

(26:17):
plan for wide receiver. No,go get your quarterbacks some help man,
at least like do something like theCowboys did last year. This year they
got Brandon Cooks, who has donenothing, but at least they tried.
Go show me you're gonna try.So Bill's having injuries, but they also
are not setting themselves up well forsuccess. That's a big issue, and
I mean I think they're gonna figureit out at some point, but they
don't show any signs of it rightnow. Next one up, seause we

(26:37):
got the Giants beating the Washington Commanders. Maybe one we didn't necessarily see coming.
Tyrod Taylor two touchdowns. One wasto Darren Waller. This game was
absolutely awful. Never recommend rewatching thisgame ever. I would burn it from
the NFL archives. But the importantthing here is Saquon played, and he
is that important to the offense, regardless of whether it's Daniel Jones who did

(27:00):
not play in this game, orTyrod Taylor. I you know, Sam
Hollise struggling right now for the Commanders. But I think just it goes without
saying cease, I guess, butlike if you have good players and play
them and not really think, oh, it's a running back. No,
he's actually valuable to this team andthey're able to win the game because he's
able to run the ball seventy sevenyards and he also had a lot of
receiving yards too. Yeah, dude, I mean it's it's ridiculous. I

(27:23):
mean the Commanders. I mean,we kind of saw it a little bit
like the Commanders aren't necessarily a goodteam, but you know they're not.
They're not this bad either. Imean, Tyrod Taylor might be the spark
for the Giants. I mean,is that what we're seeing possibly here?
We know Danny Dimes isn't it,But ultimately, I mean it's Tyrod.

(27:47):
You know, I'd love to ifTyrod get a shot because it feels like
everywhere he goes he just gets undermined. And that's kind of it. But
it's just it's just one of thosethings where you're just like, I don't
know, you know what the thingof either of these teams, right,
they're both very middling. They're guyswith quarterbacks that are not necessarily great or
really have that much potential to begreat anyway, And just seemed like the

(28:11):
sam how struggled the Giants defense. So that kind of stood up and then
that was kind of kind of allShe wrote. Yeah, absolutely, don't
need to spend too much time onit, because again, they shold probably
burned this from the NFL archives. It was not that fun of the game,
even though it ended up being somewhatclose. Let's move on to the
Falcons and Buccaneers cease. The Falconsget the win here. Desmond Ritter actually

(28:32):
played pretty well. The biggest thinghere for me is I think the Falcons
are actually like a good team inthe sense that like they have a good
defense, and they can run theball, and they can win some games
in this NFC South where no one'sreally sticking out. But we need to
deport Arthur Smith to a different countryright now. I mean, did not
play Bijon Robinson. He said thatBeijon wasn't feeling well before the game.

(28:56):
There was nothing on the injury report. Again, that's awful. They didn't
do that. But they put himin for like certain plays, but it's
mostly just for pass pro. Likeif you're gonna use them, use them,
don't sit there and like, oh, we'll keep you into pass pro
and then not give you the ball. I'm gotting. I'm getting pretty fed
up with Arthur Smith. And ifhe doesn't make the playoffs this year or
next year, you gotta start wonderingwhat you're doing here, because you draft

(29:18):
these talented players and you don't evenuse them, and like, yeah,
we get Arthur Smith's from like theTennessee coaching tree. They had a J
Brown and they used them. Idon't get it, like they're not like
they're starting to use Kyle Pits alittle bit but not all the way.
So, yes, I am afantasy manager who owns Bjon Robinson. Yes
I'm a little biased here, butalso from a football standpoint, he cannot
keep on getting away with this. They're gonna start losing games, so they

(29:40):
don't start using their good player seesright now, one per man, I
mean the Falcons. Arthur Smith doesn'tknow what he's doing. I mean they're
getting game wins, which is great, but I mean Bichean not getting any
carries. It's just like what arewhat are we doing? Like, you
know, we get the Lions herein a little bit, but I mean

(30:00):
Dave Montgomery was at least producing andyou know, now you put Jamier Gibs
in there and he had a decentgame, but like, like what is
the ultimate? What is the endgoal here? So that's how our gears
can get you like three yards tocarry? What what is that doing for
you? It really doesn't make anysense. You know, they managed to
capitalize on a turnover really and youknow, the Bucks kind of just let

(30:22):
him score some points down the kindof just down the field. But I
mean, this wasn't a high scoringgame. The Falcons put up sixteen points,
and yeah, it's just it's justan ugly game where it seemed like
the turnover deer differential really just madeit. You know what it was.
It wasn't anything big. It wasa game of field goals two touchdowns to

(30:44):
start, and then you know it'sjust attrition after that. And you know,
one quarterback made the mistake. Imean, Desnie Ritter didn't do anything
really of note, but he didn'tturn the ball over, and you know,
sometimes that can be everything. Butultimately this isn't sustainable. I don't
trust the Falcons at all. Theycan win the NFC South and I just

(31:07):
go that doesn't matter. Like theNFC South at this point has become so
weak it's bad. I mean,I like, if I was gonna say
right now, I would still takethe Buccaneers and the Saints over the Falcons
to win the division because I justI think Atlanta has all the talent in
the world. But as long asArthur Smith keeps playing games like this,

(31:27):
and not playing the star players.Drake London only you know, and Kyle
Pitts barely do anything half the games. You know, it might as well
be it. You know, theymight as well have the same talent their
team that the Carolina Panthers do,because sure they get a couple more wins,
but ultimately, like Arthur Smith isa good coach getting the talent out

(31:48):
of the players, he is,But the question is you're not a good
coach because you're not using the talent. You're not the maximum output. Right.
You know, it's Arthur Smith's winninggames, but with the least amount
of quality possible when reality, hegave coaches what he has right now and
they should be doing a lot better. And you know it's it's underperforming.
They're getting a win, but it'sit's underperforming and very underwhelming with a team

(32:13):
like this. Yeah, definitely, that NFC South, it's gonna be fun
to figure out at the end.I mean in fun, not in the
same way that some of these otherdivisions like the AFC North might be competitive
down the stretch. The NFC South, someone's gotta start stepping up. Man.
Hopefully it's not another seven win teammaking the playoffs. So let's move
on to the Detroit Lions at theBaltimore Ravens. Now, these two teams,
seeds have had like roller coast Theremight be five and two, but

(32:37):
they've had roller coaster seasons in thatthey go one week from looking really good
to one week looking really bad.So last week the Ravens, we talked
about how they had so many droppasses, the offense was out of sync
and all that. You know,Lions we talked about every week it's like,
oh, they looked really good andthen they look really bad. So
this week the Ravens were up andthe Lions were down. The Ravens won
thirty eight to six. You know, I think the offense really stepped up

(33:00):
for them. Like I mentioned, they had Gus Edwards have a big days,
They Flowers have a big day,Mark Andrews have a big day.
They've got some guys that maybe theyhaven't had in the past stepping up.
And at the end of the day, Jared Goff was pretty bad in this
one for the Lions. That's gonnacost you. But you know, still
five and two for both these teamslooking good ahead ahead of the schedule here,
So we'll see how they do.Yeah, this was a big litmus

(33:22):
test game kind of for both teams, but especially the Lions because you know,
it's been a team that's gotten blownout by teams in the past,
and you know, just you know, the overall the Detroit Lions and what
they've been over the last thirty yearsis just you know, six a round.
They did not play well. JaredGoff was he went full Jared Goof

(33:43):
Like that's just really it. TheGoof troop was there. The guy gets
terrified when he's under pressure, likelike it's it's when you look at the
tape you watch this game and theRavens, there's any like big pressure.
Jared Goff just panics. He ishe can't handle it. And there's nothing
wrong. There's a lot of goodthings with Jared Goff's game, but ultimately,

(34:06):
Maddy, he has to be ableto roll out. He needs to
be able to get away from thepressure, and he just panics. He
doesn't. He's not able to fightoff people trying to sack him, He's
not able to get rid of theball. It just it looks bad,
like when he gets sacked, itlooks bad. You know, he does
not look good. You know,Michael Jordan looks good when he strikes out
in baseball. Jared Goff looks reallybad when he gets sacked. It looks

(34:29):
pitiful. But you know, otherthan that, you know he can have
He's gonna be up and down. The Giants are not the Giants. The
Lions don't need Jared Goff to bethat e meat. They don't need that.
But the offense is just you know, it's it's one of those things
where he needs to take that stepforward. And then you know, the

(34:50):
Lions defense just wasn't able to stopthe running game of the Ravens at all,
Like they just got kind of carvedup. And this is one of
those games you just you know, you're away, you know, Baltimore's at
the easiest place to play. You'rein adult home usually. And I think
it just when it came to gridand you know who wanted to come play
football, you know, you nastyyou know, run game kind of style.

(35:13):
The Ravens wanted that and the Lionsdid wanted no part of it,
and it kind of showed. AndI mean, I think they'll still bounce
back. They should still win theNSCY North, but they got to be
able to win more of these gritty, you know, outdoor games for me
to really say that, you know, they got Super Bowl aspirations by any
means, I'd agree season especially NFCmight be like one of those conferences where

(35:34):
you can finish the regular season well, but then you even if you get
through the playoffs with some of thesetougher teams, like then you have to
play the AFC team of the SuperBowl that is ready for that. So
definitely with you on that one. We'll go to another AFC North team.
The Pittsburgh Steelers defeat the Los AngelesRams twenty four to seventeen. They scored
fourteen fourth quarter points to come backin this one, so it's very disappointing

(35:55):
loss for the Rams. You know. For for this game we had at
the end of the game, therewas Kenny Pickett being down it's like hitting
his knee on the ground before hegot a first down that ice the game.
Now they ruled it was a firstdown, so that means that there

(36:15):
wasn't a review and the Rams wereout of challenges. If he would have
been short of the first down,it's automatically reviewed. So it's kind of
one of those loopholes in the freakingrules that like, hey, they should
probably review any sort of fourth downthat's kind of close because it really affects
the game. But the Rams didn'thave any challenges left, so they had
no chance to come back. Atthe very end, Pukakua had a big

(36:35):
day, Cooper Cup did not.And I think the Steelers won despite Matt
Canada in this one. But ifI got to say anything, it's just
throw it to George Pickens. Hehad a lot of good plays in this
one and it honestly it averaged overtwenty yards per catch. Just throw it
up to him and we had likeseven targets. Give him more. Let's
see what he can do. No, absolutely, I mean the Rams just
squander away a going opportunity to youknow, be above five hundred a year.

(37:00):
I mean they just didn't. MattStafford did not have a good game.
He struggle again, another guy thatreally struggles under under pressure. I
you know, Sean McVay really lovesthese uh pocket guys, it seems,
but he, you know, hestruggled. You know, he had that
one turnover, which is big,but you know, other than that,
you know, Cooper Cup wasn't reallythat existent, But I mean there were

(37:21):
guys. I mean, Freeman andHenderson each had over sixty yards, So
you know, you have over onehundred and twenty yards rushing this game,
pu Nakula over one hundred and fiftyyards receiving. I mean, that's that's
crazy. I mean he has beengreat. I mean there's a lot of
things on this Rams offense has beenreally good and better than expected. But
you know, it's just they didn'tmake plays the key times, you know,

(37:45):
and really you got George Pickens involved, and he made all the big
plays to the Steelers. He istheir offense, honest to god. That
guy, literally, you're not kidding. That guy should get almost every catch.
He shouldn't only get five catches thegame. That guy should be,
you know, almost ten catches agame. Because Deontay Johnson isn't getting it
done. He had a decent gamehere, but they just have nothing behind

(38:07):
him, and they just have noother real playmakers. I mean, Najie
Harris did better than he has beendoing in this game, but still not
great. And you know, KennyPickett played a solid game and didn't cause
basically just let everything come to it, you know, played you know,
conservative, didn't give up any turnovers, and you know that again, that

(38:29):
might be something that Steelers can doto have a winning formula. Can he
Pickett doesn't have to be a worldbeater. No one thought he was going
to be. And if he canjust play conservative football, not turn the
ball over maybe every once in awhile, and get him key first downs,
that might be all they need, especially against half the NFL that can
barely run an offense at this point. So Steelers kind of eake out a

(38:52):
win and the Rams kind of playedbelow expectation here and you know that could
be a costly loss for him downthe stretch. Yeah. Absolutely, the
Rams are getting getting in the territoryof like they're playing better than we thought.
But maybe we thought they were agood team and now they're maybe not
going to be a good team.Maybe they're not a good team because they've
lost to you know, the Bengals, they lost to the Eagles, they

(39:12):
lost to the Steelers, they lostthe forty nine Ers. The win against
the Seahawks, that's great, butthat's the division team. That happens sometimes,
And if they lose in the upcomingweeks here, they could be very
going, right, back to beingwhat they were last year or what they
thought they would be this year.Staying with some NFC West teams, the
Seahawks beat the Cardinals twenty to ten, and Jackson Smith and Jig but and
Jake Bobo got touchdowns in this one. Those are two rookies. That's pretty

(39:36):
good for them. But really theCardinals are just running out of steam.
They're, you know, a teamthat is designed to tank, and they
were playing their hearts out the firstcouple weeks of the season, but at
a certain point you hit a walland start losing games that you probably should
be losing. So yeah, it'shard when you just lost after loss,
and you know you're playing hard atfirst, you get a win that kind
of repels you forward to keep tryingplaying hard, which I'm sure you start

(40:00):
just getting beat by better teams andyou just getting flat out beat. Like
you look at that Banguals game. It's Cardinals. It was close, and
then the talent just kind of cameout and the Cardinals just had no real
way around it. You know,James Connor got hurt too, He's been
hurt. I think that was reallythe big engine and motivator of running that
offense without him, Like, it'sjust not the same. I mean,

(40:22):
you've got guys that are you know, replacement level all over this team.
You know, they're interchangeable, they'rethey're really not anything to write home about.
Buy any means and you know thatyou know everyone's while. If you
motivate all those guys and they stayin games, you know, anything can
happen if you let people stay inand they're you know, they're fighting for
jobs and you know, want toget you know better, and they want

(40:44):
their brand to be out there forwhen they you know, can be free
agents again, which they mostly willbe after this year. But really,
yeah, like you said, thetank is empty. You know, it's
just demoralizing after a while, andit's hard that if you not winning a
game and you know or you know, team finally comes back and you know
you've got guys like dk met captainplayer, but you know you have Kenneth

(41:07):
Walker, you have Tyer Walckett, these guys are good talented players. You
have Gino Smith who's playing well, you know, and it's just it's winning
it You have are playing a teamthat is winning, wants to win,
and his coach well enough to continueto get there. It's hard. It's
hard to get to win the NFL. It's even harder when you're just not
set up for success. And youknow the GM isn't trying to doesn't want

(41:30):
you to win games. It's justthat simple. Kyer Murray, I don't
think they want him to come backeither. They want the tank job,
and you know it's the right thingfor the organization, but you know,
it sucks to be a player onthat team. Oh absolutely, So we'll
see if Kyler Murray comes back. He's been cleared to practice and everything.
The joke is that he got clearedto practice the day after the Modern War

(41:52):
Fair three Beta ended, So that'sthat's kind of going on there. But
yeah, they're I mean, they'rejust they're not a bad They're not like
one of the worst tanking football teamsever. It's just it sucks that they
have to go through this. Butthat's the NFL goes Seahawks four and two
looking pretty good, especially with theforty nine struggle in which we'll get to
here in a little bit. AllRight, the Broncos beat the Packers nineteen
to seventeen. Ceased they were athome at Mile High I think that played

(42:14):
a big factor in that really agame that was kind of boring. The
only thing that people were kind ofwatching for is maybe the over under in
this one, I would say thatthe I mean, the Broncos started off
hot, the Packers came back, and then the Broncos ended up getting to
win. Joe Berry, the defensivecoordinator for the Packers, is very bad.

(42:35):
Yes, they held a team tonineteen points. That's usually good enough
to win some games. But there'spoints on Twitter. You'll see videos I
forget he posted. Otherwise, Iwould credit for sure that they You know,
the Broncos were in the red zoneand they had extra offensive linemen and
tight ends in so the Packers hadsix defensive linemen and linebacker two and then
defensive backs. That's normal, that'show you're supposed to stop those type of

(42:58):
plays. But they ended up upon their game winning touchdown drive, or
the Broncos game winning touchdown drive. They the first play, they did what
they should do with the six defensivelineman. The second play they change it
up and they put four defensive linemen, five defensive backs and only two linebackers
up there, and the Broncos justrunning right through room. It's stuff like
that that just doesn't make any sense. They have enough talent on the defense

(43:20):
to be very very good with thefirst round picks they've spent on that defense,
but that you just can't do stufflike that, And when you have
Jordan Love, who's not not thegreatest, that's just going to hurt you
in the end. No, absolutely, I mean, Jordan Love just did
not play well in this game, flat out. I mean, you played
decently well the first three weeks ofthe season. Since that point, he's

(43:43):
just gone back to just doing nothing. I don't think he's throwing a touchdown
in three games. You know,it's his yards, he's he's struggling Miley
right now. To put it simply, he's not a good quarterback. Matt
Lafloor is not a good coach. The Packers are not good like It's just

(44:04):
straight up that way. Aaron Jonesis really the only thing that makes this
team good, and he's been solimited. It's it's not a joke,
it's just it's sad to see it, because he really is the only thing
that can make this team worth anythingand worth watching. Because AJ Dillon is
finally done something compared to what hedid early in the season, which was,
you know, a yard to carryit felt like. But yeah,

(44:28):
I mean the Packers are an absolutedisarray. The Broncos get a win at
home Mile High We've talked about allthe time, it's a huge advantage.
But you know, good for themgetting a win. And you know,
Packers, what do you what doyou look at it this season and go,
this is what are you building here? There's nothing is there's nothing to
build on, there's nothing to lookforward to this season. It's just a

(44:50):
team that's not very good, thatisn't overachieving, underachieving. They're gonna be
seven and ten, eight nine. That's that's where they are. That's their
destiny and that's the worst place onearth to be as an NFL franchise.
You have a yeah, and it'snot necessarily because of the town. There's
still plenty of talent on this team. The problem is you don't have the
quarterback, you don't have the coach, and you don't really have you know,

(45:12):
the playmakers you used to have. You still have good till players and
you know you've got your your probablyyour best offensive player. Aaron Jones has
been hurt for most of this season. It's just it's not a winning formula.
Yeah, I think they need torebuild. They need a total just
restart. You know, last timeit worked out when they had a quarterback
step in for a future Hall ofFamer. It just it's not the same
situation this time. You know, probably fire the floor, you know,

(45:36):
get some new people in the building. That's what I would do. But
I get it. Play the restof the year, see how it works
out. I guess for Jordan Loveand let them develop, But it might
be time for a full rebuild fromfrom top to bottom. Next one up
seas we have the Kansas City Chiefsbeating the Los Angeles Chargers thirty one to
seventeen. The chief state undefeated, undefeated, with Taylor Swift in attendance.
They you know, Taylor Swift andBrittany Mahomes have a nice new handshake.

(45:59):
That's what the big news of thegame is, apparently according to what's being
covered, but in a different sense. Patrick Mahomes had one of his best
games of the year. Four totwenty four yards, four touchdowns, Travis
Kelce hundred seventy und receiving yards, one touchdown, where Shee Rice is stepping
up a wide receiver. They haveNicole Hardin and back from the Jets now,
so it looks like they're kind ofgearing up to be a pretty good

(46:20):
team again. And they have thedefense playing better and they run the ball
better this year, so they mayactually be a better team than even we
maybe we thought at the start ofthe year. But what's underlying this sees
to me is that the Chargers area bad football team. You look at
their two ways. It's over theRaiders and Viking so far. They need
to get back on track. Thiswas a game that they could have really

(46:40):
used to boost their confidence and getthings going. But they're just not good
right now. Right they really aren't. The defense is not stopping anybody.
They're really not that good offense.Just it's very underwhelming. It's surprising.
How underwhelming is I don't know whoseball it is. I'm guessing, you

(47:00):
know, it might be their theiroffensive coordinator, every Cowboys fans most beloved
man, or you know, itcould be just Stalley, just just it's
everything about it is very met andyou know, it's starting to put lose
the luster on Justin Herbert. Ithink he's got all physical talent. We'll
talk about it, but it doesn'tmatter. Like it's just, I mean,

(47:22):
the Chargers can't win games. He'snot really winning them games. It's
just, you know, Justin Herbertis kind of been portrayed as this franchise
quarterback that will win you games, and he's not winning anybody anything. And
it's not like he doesn't sure Mike, you know, Mike Williams is out,
but he still is Keenan Allen who'sstill producing at a high level despite

(47:44):
his age. You know, AustinEckler is back there as well. I
mean, Jordan Palmer and you know, they drafted a receiver. You know,
they've done well in relief, butI think the offensive line is still
just a mess, and he's justnot making the big plays when they absolutely
need him to. You know, last couple of years, we've seen some
you know, epic Chargers games whereyou know, I can't believe Justin Herbert

(48:07):
completed this rainbow pass. This wasso cool. Now it's just Chargers aren't
very good. Don't expect much fromthem. The Chiefs are gearing up to
be the supervillains the NFL again. It's good, it's good for the it's
good for the sport to have asupervillain, you know, because you know
that there's a Taylor Swift stat isa little upsetting, you know, who

(48:28):
the hell cares. But more importantly, there's a certain sibling of a certain
star quarterback that made an appearance inthe box. Jackson Mahomes is back out
there, and to nob he's stilllurking despite the scandals, despite what's going
on legally with him. You know, he's back around the organization, and
you know that makes them easier toroot against. Anybody with Jackson Mahome ties

(48:52):
deserves to go down, so offthey go. You know, I thought
it was a Taylor Swift thing, but yeah, I you know whatever,
either way, whoever you want tocheer against for the Chiefs, you pick
out someone on the Chiefs organization, you cheer against them, and then you
can Yeah, we can all cheeragainst them together. Sees. I will
say, I think the Chargers needto use Quinton Johnston more their first round
pick out of TCU. Now MikeWilliams is down for the season and watching

(49:15):
their games, and I believe evenTrevor Sikima from the PFF NFL Stock Exchange
podcast said this, like he's gettingopen and they refuse to throw them the
ball justin Herbert. I don't knowif it's a trust thing or whatever.
They need to start spreading the ballout. They have so many good weapons
with Eckler, with Gerald Everett, with you know, even Josh Palmer and

(49:36):
Keenan Allen. If you get himinvolved to it maybe opens things up.
This is the thought there. Youpick a guy in the first round,
maybe you should try to use them. Arthur Smith is running the Chargers too.
All right, Sunday end football,we have the Eagles beating the Dolphins
thirty one to seventeen. Now,this game was tied in the third quarter
seventeen seventeen, and then the Eagleswere able to kind of run away with
it. I will say this isa to me, this is a big

(49:59):
thing because as the Dolphins have kindof played two teams that we thought were
like really good this year and theBills and Eagles, they've lost both those
games. So for me, sees, I'm not saying they're frauds like maybe
you had said about the Bills, but I am saying before I will pick
them to go deep in the AFCplayoff. Picture I need to see them
win a big game. And forthe Eagles, it's still sloppy. Jalen

(50:19):
Hurts is still turning over the football. But they're getting wins because they've built
their team through the trenches and that'show you win football games. Absolutely,
I mean you can tell. It'sjust the offensive line for the Dolphins was
not very good. There's a lotof pressure on Tua and you know,
they throw and that of offense worksvery quickly. But even that wasn't enough
to really offset the relentless pass lashpass rusher of the Philadelphia Eagles. On

(50:43):
top of that, you know,Rie Moster didn't really get the running link
to usually get. So I thinkDolphins are still a good team. They're
going to be a team to lookout for in the playoffs, but it
would be very nice for them toget that kind of quality win that they
just really have not had yet.You know. And this is just that
mounce and I'm not as worried aboutit. You know, it's compared to

(51:04):
some teams, like you said,I'm not going to call them frauds.
It was close to Philadelphia is awhole a hard place to play, and
you know, this is one ofthose kind of gut check games where you
know it was close until the endand then you know, Tua had that
intersection interception in the fourth quarter andthat kind of sealed it for the Eagles.
But I mean, this is ahard place to play. It's a

(51:25):
good team. I would have likedthem to overcome it, but you know,
it didn't play out in some crazyfash They didn't get blown blown out.
They were playing with them. Andyou know, a young team like
this that hasn't really been here before, to really just be in it with
these guys, I think it's justwill teach you a lot about yourselves.
I think, you know, theyfought, they kept up and and honestly,

(51:45):
it's good for them to see,you know, how they look and
look at this tape and to seehow they play against a team where they
don't get to play an ideal conditions. They don't have this just tremendous upside
compared to everyone else. So we'llsee, you know, I think Dolphins
still won the better teams in theAFC. Eeles, I don't know what

(52:06):
it really taught me about the Eagles. It's the same thing, and it's
you know, we'll get with theforty nine ers. Two. It's a
lot of the great teams in theNFL right now, or just they don't
feel great. They just feel,oh, they could be really good and
they have all the talent, andI've seen this basic same roster be really
good, but suddenly they just don'tput it all together in games. And

(52:27):
I don't know if it's just Ireally don't know what it is. It's
not as easily quantifiable, you know, if I at first it was preseason
or you know, I think it'sjust, you know, some quality coaches
have left a lot of teams overthe recent years, just you know,
we'll being you know, promoted tohead coaches and coordinators and things like that.
Staff's change, and you know, maybe it really is just a lack
of top tier coaching the NFL rightnow. I don't know. Yeah,

(52:52):
I'm with you. It's a lotof teams. I mean, I'm pretty
confident in the Chiefs from here onout, just because of that defense and
it seems like the offense is gettinggoing. But everyone else I've had,
like forty nine ers, there's someissues there. Eagles definitely not playing up
to their par Cowboys have loss ofgames they probably shouldn't have lost. Dolphins
don't seem to beat anyone that's great. I mean the Bengals, you know,
our Bengals. You will talk aboutthem later. With our pick having

(53:13):
gotten the greatest start of the season. All these great teams that we thought
were gonna be great struggling and maybethat's good. I mean, that's why
then people like the NFL right asthey say, it can change each year.
Even though we have dynasties that keepon coming up, like the Chiefs
that we all kind of like toroot against, you know, we still
have different teams kind of showing up. I guess. So we'll see if
some of the people we thought inthe preseason will end up showing up to

(53:36):
their talent level. But another teamthat I just mentioned is not performing is
the forty nine er Ciis. Theylost to the Vikings twenty two to seventeen.
It was a weird game. ButI have to say, first off,
listening to Creed works on Monday night. We had you know, the
Vikings pumping themselves up by listening toCreed before the game, and they win
that game. We had the Rangerswin Game seven of the Alcs by listening

(53:59):
to Creed on the road against theAstros got themselves pumped up. The same
way listening to Creed works. Ifyou want to go improve your life,
go put some Creed on the onthe radio, on your CD player,
on whatever century this is. I'mgonna reference the you know, the old
music playing device you have and goget it fired up. Let's do that.
But we'll say, you know, the Vikings did not have Justin Jefferson
in this game. Jordan Addison steppedup show why they used an early pick

(54:22):
on him. The forty nine Erswere banged up. It still was an
awful game by all accounts. Ithink they're not really built to play from
behind. That's something that you know. They're built to play with the lead
and run the ball and everything.Brock Party didn't look that good. Trent
Williams was out this game. GeboSamuel was out. It's not an excuse,
but they need to get things backon track and it's definitely gonna be

(54:45):
hard to do. Yeah, Imean the key takeaways here. The forty
Niners lost this game. Really, the Vikings did some things, but McCaffrey
has a key bombo early in thegame. While they're driving. You know,
brock Party throws an interception really dealin the end, and that's kind
of the two key things that happened. You know, Brandon Yuk was involved

(55:06):
a lot, you know with theSamuel down. You know, George Kittle
got his. You know, thereare a lot of guys catching passes.
Christian McCaffrey did not look great. You know, that could be obviously due
to his injury. Tren Williams beingout is important, but ultimately, yeah,
like you said, it's just nota team that's built to dominate.

(55:28):
This isn't a team that can godown twenty one points and go that's cool,
just start throwing the ball down thefield. Like they are a team
that methodically drives, which has beenreally great and something that a lot of
teams cannot do in the NFL anymore. And as a reason they are so
successful a lot of times. Butand the defense just did not look good
either. I mean, we're talkinglike guys like that key touchdown to Jordan

(55:50):
Aison at the end of the firsthalf that didn't need to happen. You
know, we're talking about guys thatjust simultaneously catched it. And he is
more he is more trying to getthe interception than he was just tackling Jordan
Aison, and there was no onethere to help him either, Like nobody
was anywhere near him. That's thething. You got to know. You
gotta know where you are, Yougot to know the situation. And sure,

(56:10):
it's great to get that takeaway, that would be awesome, that'd be
changed, a huge momentum boost beforehalf. But Jesus, like you got
like if that's what you're going for, and you got to make sure somebody's
got the back end behind you,Like you got to know somebody's gonna be
able to tackle the five yards fromnow, and that's a worthwhile risk.
The risk can't be I get aninterception. If this guy gets a touchdown,

(56:32):
that really cannot be your options. If that's the case, just knock
the ball down and that's the endof it. Or if he's gonna catch
it, make sure you're there totackle him. Don't let what just happened
happen. So the Viking's got somebig plays that the forty nine ers just
fell asleep at the wheel, andthere's no really easy way to put around
it. You know, the curseof the forty nine ers and Minnesota continues

(56:55):
on. They've not won in Minnesota, and like what the stat was,
I think it was almost like fifteenyears. And now there's a new fun
stat going around the NFL memes outthere, the Curse of Kirk Cousins.
Nobody has won a Super Bowl orI think it was one, or I
don't think anyone's made a Super Bowlafter losing to Kirk Cousins. That's a

(57:17):
stake. You can't make this up, folks, the Curse of Kirk Cousins.
So really, I think the onlyway Kyle Shannon may be able to
break this curse is by trading fourKirk Cousins. He's beloved, maybe a
heck of an NFL storyline, aheck of a story for them personally,
for the two of them, becausethey love each other and they just,

(57:37):
you know, it just never canmake it work after all the time,
you know, I think maybe KirkCousins is the one for Kyle Shanahan one.
I think it might be. Imean, that's there's a reason why
you know, RG three was replacedin Washington, and I don't think it
was the play on the field, you know, just go ahead and say

(57:58):
it anyway, It's true, Jay, I did just say. I think
Jay Gruden had something out for himfor different reasons that we found out about
in some emails. And I thinkthe Shanahans just love Kirk Cousins, you
know, for whatever reason, Kylemet Kirk Man. That's right, all
right, those are our that's arecap for week seven. We're gonna make
our picks for week eight, ceas. We'll start it off with the Tampa

(58:21):
Bay Buccaneers taking on the Buffalo Billson Thursday Night football. The Bills from
everybody eight and a half, I'massuming Baker's playing. A lot of people
are like, I don't know,Like even stat books don't want to put
props up for Baker Mayfield, Likethey're Crady's not gonna play. You can
do anything with Josh Allen, butBaker Mayfield you can't pick anything. Ha.

(58:44):
I'm going the Bills to win thegame, but I'm going I'm taking
damn to play with the points isa Thursday night game is a short turnaround,
and the Bills have not looked good. They just got the heck beat
out of them by his inferior team, and they don't have much time to
really recoup and feel good about themselvessince that point. And Tampa Bay is

(59:04):
one of those teams where you knowthey're gonna throw the ball around. That's
what Baker Mayfield does. You know, Mike Evans is gonna have some fifty
yard touchdown catch probably, and thathappens early in the game. I don't
know how the Bills really bounce back. I think they're too talented to lose
this one too. But I don'tthink this is gonna be some big you're
telling me you give me eight anda half. I'm expecting like a big

(59:27):
heavy, like the Bills have nochance of losing this game, and everything
I see on the field right now. Now, you know, like I
said, maybe we get a classicJosh Allen just become Superman and just starts
throwing the ball around the yard andthey win, you know, forty two
to twenty one or something. Ithink it's a possibility with him, But
from a recent trend and the shortturnaround and Thursday night games usually not being

(59:49):
the most you know, well prepared, especially for offenses, that's gonna favor
Tampa Bay and they're less you know, stylized offense and Baker just throwing it
and hoping God because that's their offense. I don't know how much they have
to practice that, and their defenseis good enough to make Josh Allen just
be kind of upset he can't getthe big play. So they can take
away the big player from Josh Allen. He'll struggle and I think Tampa Bay

(01:00:14):
can cover this game for sure.At eight and a half points, we're
going Bills to win and cover.I just I honestly like I know what
we've seen, but I can't seethat going on much longer with how much
talent they have. This is aThursday night game in Buffalo. The fans
are gonna be going crazy, primetimegame. And I also think the Bucks
have some pretty big issues. Thebailout is what you said, like throw

(01:00:37):
it up to Mike Evans and geta big touchdown and that gets some wins
and gets them close in some games. But they have offensive line issues.
I don't think they run the footballvery well from what I've seen. It
just doesn't look very clean and Idon't know, I think the Bills can
get the job done here before well, the last three weeks, they have
struggled the week three weeks before that, they had beaten teams by like twenty

(01:00:58):
an average of twenty points per game. I'm not saying the Bucks are a
really bad team, but I dothink they have some bad issues that the
Bills can exploit. That defense specificallycan maybe help them cover in this one.
It's a big spread. I'm goingwith it. Again. If you're
going based on how they played lastweek, I totally get why you take
Buccaneers with the points. It justmakes more sense that way. But I'm
just going more of an overall bigpicture thing and hoping that they come through

(01:01:20):
all right. Sunday afternoon, wehave the battle of the two rookie quarterbacks
who were selected first and second overall. We have the Houston Texans at the
Carolina Panthers sees. This game isone I think a lot of people are
excited to see, even though it'smaybe not the best of teams. The
Texans are favored by three points.Give me the Texans to winning cover.
I think CJ. Stroud has playedyou know a lot better than Bryce Young

(01:01:43):
has you know, talent around themall situation. Notwithstanding, he's had a
better rookie year the Texans. Thetimes have looked really good. They you
know, both these teams have alot of holes on them, but it
seems like this Texans have been ableto do things well to kind of mask
those wholes. The Panthers if not, so I think, you know,

(01:02:06):
it's not a super you know it'sgonna be a close game. But ultimately,
I just think the quarterback, youknow, the quarterback that's playing better
is going to be the one thatwins. At CJ. Stroud, I
agree with that pick. I'm goingTexans to win and cover, and not
just the quarterback playing well, butalso I think that defense onner to make
a Ryans is taking some steps forwardsteps forward this year, and I think
they can really cause issues for BryceYoung with that bad offensive line. So

(01:02:30):
I'm gonna go Texans to win andcover as well. Next month we have
the New England Patriots at the MiamiDolphins. The current line is at ten
points in favor of the Dolphins.Sees, Jesus give me the Dolphins to
win and cover. I don't likethat spread. It was eight and a
half like six hours ago, soI mean eight and a half. I

(01:02:52):
felt a lot more comfortable. Tensstarting to freak me out. I think
that's starting to get a little overreact. I'm hoping that goes down a little
bit because it goes any higher.I don't know if I can really touch
that spread. But the Dolphins area good team. They're really good.
They played really well, and theyplayed well against the Patriots before. I
don't think, you know, touchdownto ten points. I pretty much automatically,

(01:03:15):
unless they're playing elite team kind ofthink that's their range in most games.
I usually don't, you know, just week to week what I've bet
is I've had no problem betting somethinglike that. So I think I'm you
know, tens at the high point, but I'd still take it. Patriots
beat the Bills, sure, that'sgreat, But I just have a feeling
they're not gonning able to keep thatup. And I don't think mac Jones

(01:03:36):
has two gate good games in arow. Absolutely, I'm going Dolphins to
win and cover in this one.It is a larger spread, but the
Patriots have had so many corner injuriesthis year it's it's getting kind of crazy.
I mean, they have Marcus Jones, they have Christian Zales their first
round pick, two very important corners. That's the one team you don't want
your corners to be out against isthe Dolphins with their quarterback and their wide

(01:03:58):
receivers. Now Belichick will still schemeto kind of stop Tyreek Hill. It
didn't you know, they've already playedthis season. It didn't really stop them
all that much last time, andhe played still pretty well. But if
you're if you're one of these people, who are you know, we're wondering
about fantasy or daily you know, daily fantasy, or maybe some prop bets
for this Sunday, Maybe take JalenWattle over receiving yards, you know,
maybe see how he does. Ifthey're gonna focus on stopping Tyreek Hill.

(01:04:20):
I think it's time for Jalen Wattleto have a little bit of a breakout
game in this one against the Patriotsbecause those corners are down and because Tyreek
Hill is going to get so muchattention, so Dolphins wi win to cover
for me. I think they're they'regonna get back on track this week,
all right. New York Jets atthe New York Giants road game for the
Jets road game, Jets favored bythree points at home on the road.

(01:04:43):
However you want to say it,Yeah, give me the Jets to win
and cover because it's such a tinyspread. Jets defense plays really well,
and I think the Giants offense isnot gonna be able to move the ball,
and you know, the Giants defensehas been playing better. But I
just as long as Zach Wilson hasshown me enough to be able to get

(01:05:03):
them and keep them in games againstteams they have no business being it.
And I think this is just it'snot gonna be a blowout. It's gonna
be close. It's gonna be avery low scoring game that screams an undergame
for the level of God. ButI mean, if I'm picking, you
know, I gotta go with theteam as an elite defense. And that's
really the only reason I'm picking thembecause and you know, Breis Hall is

(01:05:25):
really good as a running back aswell, so they've they've shown a little
bit of a function functionality on offense. So that's why I'm picking them to
winn cover. I'm doing the samething Jets to win and cover in this
home road game, whatever you wantto call it. The thing for me
that I think is interesting is thatTyrod Taylor is playing and it seems like
despite that blow up of Brian dableheadof him because of the questionable thing two

(01:05:48):
weeks ago with the with not spikingthe ball or not throwing the ball and
running the ball. It seems likehe's better suited for this team and they
can kind of make the focal pointof the offense sa Kwon Barkley. So
I think Tyron playing lasting against Commandersmakes it a little bit more up in
the air. But Jets able toprepare for this game a little bit more
time and they'll be They'll be.I think Zach Wilson should be ready to

(01:06:09):
play against the defense that isn't thegreatest in the league. So I'm going
Jets to win and cover. Nextone up, we have the Los Angeles
Rams at the Dallas Cowboys. Uh, this one is an interesting line sees
the Cowboys are favored by six anda half. Yeah, I'm gonna go
with the Cowboys here. You know, I think they're kind of gonna get

(01:06:29):
back on track here. It's justit's one of those things where they,
you know, they beat the Chargers, they have the bye week, and
you know, I really think theCowboys kind of come out here. I
think they're gonna upset the Eagles.I think the Eagles are playing a little
less in stellar, so I meanI'm going with them in the upset.

(01:06:50):
Wait, it's the Rams at theCowboys. Buddy, the Cowboys. Why
the hell did I see was theEagles? Well, anyway, that's next
week. We'll talk about that.Yeah, I think I like the Cowboys
to win and cover. I thinkthey're playing well. I think they're rested,
and I think the Rams just arenot playing really great football right now.
So give me the Cowboys to wina cover. I'm going Cowboys to

(01:07:13):
win, but Rams with the points. The reason being I don't think the
Cowboys offensive issues are solved. Itseems like it's very disjointed. Mike McCarthy's
trying to make Dak into something he'snot, which is like a West Coast
quarterback. He's trying to protect fromthe interceptions that Dak through last year.
But really that's not Dak's game.I think it's it's kind of a one

(01:07:36):
of these. They're still very goodteam. They're gonna win games. I'll
take the Cowboys overall, but justthe Rams with the points because I do
think that's gonna be a big factor. And Trayvon Diggs is out. The
Rams have those two good receivers nowwith Cupping, with Kupp and Nakua,
I think they can keep it close. So I'm gonna go Rams with the
points, but Cowboys to win overall. All right, Next one up,

(01:07:57):
we have the New Orleans Saints atthe Indianapolis Colts. Right now, the
spread is even. Cease, man, give me the Colts. They've been
playing well, minshew many out there. Jonathan Taylor is getting back involved,
and you know, their defense isokay. I just the Saints away from

(01:08:17):
home. I think home is abig advantage for them, and I just
I don't like what I'm seeing outof Derek Carr on the offense right now.
They're not connecting down the field. It's just out of Kamara just playing
through garbage yards because they can't movethe ball really, you know. And
that's great because he can get fiveyards on the dump out pass and continue
to keep drives alive. But ultimatelyit's just not a winning formula right now.

(01:08:40):
So give me the Colts to winning. Cover Colts for me as well.
I think the difference in this gameis they have a defense playing well.
They have an offense that looks atleast functional with their two headed monsters
at Boss and Jonathan Taylor are runningback. The Saints don't look good and
I think, like obviously mentioned earlier, Dennis Allen is not the greatest head

(01:09:02):
coach. Derek Carr looks disjointed. It looks like they have some off the
field issues. Krystal LoVa got pulledover for a for speeding U. It's
it's it's it's like a whole messof things where people just seem like they're
frustrated. And I'll take the Coltsto win and cover because of that.
But before you gamble, make sureyou check whether the roof is open.
It's always important to know that.We always like when the roof is open

(01:09:25):
for the Colts. The Vikings atthe Packers ceased. Maybe a different game
than we would have thought that wewere going to get this year between these
two teams. The line for thisone is also even, I gotta go
with the team that's playing better here, give me the Vikings and straight up
pick them. I just you know, the Packers I've not played well.

(01:09:47):
I can't believe I'm saying this.I trust Kirk. I trust Kirk Cousins
in this game. Over Jordan Love. Not because it's Jordan Love he's going
against, but just because I'm pickingKirk Cousins in a game and saying I
really believe in him. I likewhat I saw last week inst the forty
nine ers. I think they canbuild on that momentum. I think it's
a divisional rivalry. You know,I don't think these guys really have playoff

(01:10:11):
hosts, but I think both theseteams feel like they do for some reason.
You know, they think they feellike they have a roster that can
compete. Not that I agree withit, but I just like what the
Vikings had done overall, and Ijust can't trust the Packers right now.
Same thing here. The Vikings,I think are playing really good football right
now. They're bouncing back. They'rewinning without Justin Jefferson. You know,

(01:10:32):
we went from maybe talking about JustinJefferson sitting out the rest of the season
and maybe coming back to a playoffpush, which would be interesting. Jordan
Addison is stepping up in that numberone receiver role while Justin Jefferson is out,
and the defense is playing better. So because they listen to Creed,
because they're getting this thing rolling,I'm going Vikings to meet the Packers until
the Packers decide they want to listento Creed. They're doomed, all right.

(01:10:54):
Atlanta Falcons at the Tennessee Titans. The Falcons are favored by two and
a half points. Now, RyanTanneh Hill is not expected to play.
It seems like they've said that bothMilnke Willis and Will Levis will play.
It's reported now Will Levis is gonnastart and play most of the time,
so it's a little bit different forTennessee this week. Yeah, I'm gonna
go with Will Levis at quarterback.I'm going with the Falcons to win and

(01:11:15):
cover just theo the Titans are oneto mention, I love Derrick Henry,
but they just don't do him anyfavors scheming or game planning. I'm going
with not that I like the Falcons, but you know, they know what
they're doing and they have weapons ifthey ever learn to use them, so
maybe this will be the time.So getting the Falcons to win and cover
against a rookie quarterback that secondary isgonna have a good time with Will Levis,

(01:11:41):
I'm going Titans to win outright. The UK shirt, I mean,
I didn't think about that, butmaybe I should have. So Rondo really
is chiming in right now. We'regonna get him, get him in line.
But the dog he named after aUK player. Now you're picking a
U K rookie quarterback to win afootball game, Well, what's going on

(01:12:03):
there? You know? The thingis like, I wasn't the highest on
the levis, but we saw quarterbacksin their first game with Tyson Bage it
win last week. Oh man,he's on the Beijing track. Yeah,
you know, but then then thesecond week they end up stinking. But
no, I think I think, honestly, whoever wins this or scores this
game, scores in this game first, I think it might have a better
chance of winning because they're both doingthe same strategy. It's Arthur Smith,

(01:12:25):
who's from Tennessee, trying to grinddown the clock and play defense, and
there's not a team. The Titansinvented this mold, this new mold in
the new era of the NFL ofdoing this with Derrick Henry the mack truck
running over people. I'm going DerekHenry that. I mean, at least
he's gonna be used, maybe notas much as he used to be.
But he's the least he's gonna beused as opposed to b John being on
the bench or Drake Lennon and KylePis not getting used at all. So

(01:12:47):
I'm going Titans. They're at home. I think Bill Levis can have a
solid start. He's had time tokind of learn behind Tannehill and with Blake
Willis being there, So I'm gonnago I'm gonna go with it. I
think it's a coin flip, andI do not like the Falcons, so
I'm gonna take the Titans. Cool. Next one up, we have the
Jacksonville Jaguars at the Pittsburgh Steelers.Kind of a line I didn't expect to

(01:13:10):
be out there for this game. The Jaguars are every about two and a
half seas on the road. Ithink the Jaguars are I think this is
kind of a disrespect line. Iget the Steelers are a good team.
I think they get pressure, butI think Trevor Lawrence is going to be
more mobile in this game. Itdidn't seem to hamper him last game anyway
with his leg. I just thinkthe Jaguars are better than the Steelers.

(01:13:30):
I think they can score points, which the Steelers can definitely not do well
at and the Jaguars defense is playingwell for the most parts, So I
think this is kind of a disrespectline is kind of a you know,
it's the Steelers defense. You justnever know if they generate some you know,
pick sixes, which is always possiblewith the guys they got with Mink,
with TJ. Watt, they canget points off turnovers, but that's

(01:13:54):
hard to gamble with. That's hardto bet on. And you know with
that a field goal being the spread, I got to pick the team that
they've shown that they consistently can drivethe ball down field score points. Yeah,
I'm going the Jaguars to win andcover. They're just they're hitting their
stride right now. The Steelers,I still think they have some issues obviously
with offensive coordinator Matt Canada maybe notbeing the best for them right now,

(01:14:18):
and they got to get the ballto George Pickens a lot more. But
I mean Etn and Lawrence is adynamic duo that I mean from college all
the way to the NFL that's playingvery very well. I'm going to give
them their their props right now asthey are playing well. It might be
playing just as good as any otherteam in the AFC right now other than
the Chiefs. So jack Jaguars towin and cover on the road. The

(01:14:41):
last one o'clock game seas, wehave the Philadelphia Eagles at the Washington Commanders.
The Eagles are favored by six anda half on the road. I
think I'm going to Eagles to winand cover. I don't think the Commanders
match up well with them twice inone season. I don't think it happens
again. I think it's you seeit no times. I think the Eagles
figure out what they're what the Commandersare gonna throw at them, and I

(01:15:04):
think they're just They're gonna be smarter. They They're not gonna be like,
oh, the Commanders are garbage. They're gonna realize what happened last time.
And I still don't think Commanders havean answer to cover a J Brown anyway.
So I'll give me the Eagles towin and cover. Same thing for
me. I know they've struggled withthe Commanders before, but I'm with you.

(01:15:24):
I think they'll be more focused. The Eagles want to get a good
performance out there. I think theyknow they're not playing up to the potential
even though they are winning games.Eagles to win and cover even six and
a half. Sunday evening games seas, we have the Cleveland Browns at the
Seattle Seahawks, and the Seahawks arefavored by three and a half. You're
gonna hedge it. I'm gonna saySeahawks win. Give me the Browns the

(01:15:45):
points, though I think it's gonnabe close. I think the Browns defense
can dominate at times. It canbe a rain game. You know,
there's always it's Seattle everyone. Younever know, maybe we get some rain
and I just sit there and Iwant to throw my throw a wall.
But ultimately I like the Seahawks.I like what they've done this year,

(01:16:06):
but I don't think they're a greatoffense or a great defense. I think
there's a chance that, you know, basically they get swallowed up by Cleveland's
defense in this one, and ifthat happens, you know, we're off
to the races. It just thenbecomes if they can put together a driver
or two, and then the Brownsoffense has just gotta put something up,

(01:16:27):
just like once or twice, andI think that can really be it.
Or you know, the Browns defensecould put them in prime position multiple times.
So with that being said, Ithink Seattle has a good home field
advantage. I think they should stillwin, but I think it's going to
be really close. I'm going toSeattle to win a cover. I don't
think this is sustainable for the Browns. PJ Walker starting the quarterback the negative

(01:16:50):
EPA per play, you're down toyour third option at running back. Cream
Hunts lost a lot of explosiveness ashe's had over the last several years.
Amari Cooper's not even really inved asmuch as you would like to see a
number one receiver being involved. TheSeahawks. I think last week getting Jake
Bobo and Jacksonmith and Jigoba involved isvery good for them. They need to
open up the offense have more optionsthan just DK Metcalf and Tyler Lockett.

(01:17:13):
So I'm going Seahawks to win coverfor those reasons. I do think the
defense has a chance to keep itclose for the Browns, but at the
end of the day, I thinkthe offensive firepower there's just too much difference
there. Next Tuk, we havethe Kansas City Chiefs after Denver Broncos.
Remember these two teams played on ThursdayFootball. Just a couple of weeks ago.
The Chiefs are favored by seven onthe road. Yeah, I'm gonna

(01:17:34):
go with the Chiefs to win andcover here. You know, the Broncos
played them tough, but I thinkthe Chiefs are continue to get better each
week. And you know, Ijust have a zero faith in the Broncos.
So I mean having the Chiefs wina game by touchdown against a bad
team I think is more than fair. Yeah, the way the Chiefs are

(01:17:54):
playing, like I mentioned earlier, their offense seems like it's it's finding these
extra guys to go to besides justTravis Kels. The running the ball well,
the defense is playing well. I'llgo with them to beat the Broncos
on the road at Mile High becauseI just don't see much from the Broncos.
It seems like Sean Payton doesn't reallylike anyone that's on the roster right
now. Probably gonna see some guystraded in the next couple of weeks as
they start tanking and building for SeanPayton's future in Denver. All Right,

(01:18:19):
an interesting game seat that will belocked into. We have the Cincinnati Bengals
at the San Francisco forty nine Ers. Right now, the forty nine ers
favorite by five and a half, but the news just broke seats that Brock
Perdy is in concussion protocol and SamDarnold is projected to start for the forty
nine ers in this game. Thatchanges things for me. I don't know

(01:18:40):
if it does for you. SoI'm gonna take you know what, Maybe
I'm doing something crazy here, butI like the Bengals out all the bye
I'm doing it. I think thisis the kind of statement game that can
turn an entire season around. Straightup, you go over, you go

(01:19:00):
the West Coast, you go theforty nine Ers, you win this game.
I think that can change the wholeoutlook on the season for the Banks.
Whether it's Rock Party, whether it'sSam Darnold. I don't think that
changes that offense that much. Imean Rock Party, I think is kind
of just more comfortable being just sittingback there and throwing the ball and just
doing what CHICKYU Shannan does, maybemore than other quarterbacks Nestilly are to just

(01:19:25):
kind of keep doing this kind ofvery middle of the road stuff. But
here's what I think. I thinkthe Bengals are rested. I think Joe
Burrow is going to be healthier inthis game. I think t Higgins is
going to be healthier as well.I think the forty nine Ers are banged
up, straight up. I mean, I think they're beat up. Rock
Party, No Rock Party. Thedefense has gotten beat up over the last

(01:19:46):
couple of weeks with injuries. TrentWilliams will play, probably, but he's
not one hundred percent. It's it'sreally gonna come down to the I think
of the Bengals key players kind ofstart playing to their potential. I think
that Joe Burrows able to get tothat you know, no, he's able
to throw for three hundred yards.I think they win this game, and

(01:20:06):
they've done I mean, they've playeda forty nine Ers team similar to this
before and they've had good games againstthem. You know, they've been close
games. And I just really believethat the Bengals team we're going to see,
I think they're going to finally kindof get healthier and flip that switch
a little bit from what we've seenbecause it's just been kind of a wait

(01:20:26):
and see. They're not really healthy, you know, they really haven't been
able to chance to really reset they'reat their you know, three and three,
they're at five hundred, at zerozero, they got you know,
eleven more games this season, andyou know, I think that's kind of
probably been the message in the lockerroom there. I think they want to
go out and compete. They knowthe forty nine ers are a good team,
and I think this is this isgoing to be a good one.

(01:20:50):
So I'm picking the Bengals to winout right. And you know, I'm
definitely heavily invested in a five anda half spread here because I think weather
Brock party plays or not. Ifyou don't think the Bengals are gonna win,
that's fine. I can see reasonswhy. It's more of a I
just believe being rested and the fortynine ers kind of getting beat up on
Monday night on a short week.I think this is a prime kind of

(01:21:13):
upset, and I don't think it'sreally that big of an upset. The
Bengals can play to their talent level. So give me those points all day.
Yeah. Earlier in the week, when I did my NFL picks and
NFL picks against the spread articles,I had Bengals with the points, but
I picked forty nine Ers money linethat's changing. I'm taking Bengals with the
points and Bengals to win now too. Now, I will say, with

(01:21:34):
time, I think Sam Darnold couldbe a solid quarterback in this system.
But this is movie his first youknow, real playing time with the whole
system, with the Shanahan system, and it's not like he's going in with
a roster that's ready right now tobe what they usually are. With all
the injuries, whether you know Deebo, Trent Williams, McCaffrey's playing while he's
banged up right now, that's Imean, that's a lot. So this

(01:21:57):
is going to be still a defensiveruggle. In my opinion, It's going
to be if the Bengals defense canstep up and hold the forty nine Ers
to maybe one touchdown and a fieldgoal, the Bengals can win this game.
If it ends up being that thedefense doesn't show up, that's gonna
be where it's tough. Because thisforty nine Ers defense still has still for
the most part, is healthy andstill has very very good players on it.
So going Bengals to win and withthe points, I think they can

(01:22:23):
they get the job done. Andyou're right, I do think being off
the by matters when the forty nineers are banged up coming off a short
week, and Zach Taylor, Imean, he has made good adjustments in
the past in terms of how hechanges things, whether it's from half to
half or even in the season lastyear when they fix the running game in
the middle of the season. SoI think there's there's reason enough to believe
in the Bengals. Again, ifPerdy was healthy, I'd probably be taking

(01:22:43):
the forty nine Ers, but thewhole quarterback change mid week after the short
week. Go Bengals all the way, all right. Ravens at the Cardinals
Cees. We have another one ofthese bigger spreads this week. The Ravens
are favored by eight and a halfon the road. Yeah, give me
that. Ravens are going to winand cover. Like you we've talked about,
I think the Cardinals were kind ofdone. The Ravens are one of

(01:23:05):
those teams too, where it's nota I gotta throw the ball to make
big plays. I'm just gonna poundit like they will just run the ball
at you the entire game. Itdoesn't matter. It's it's gonna not be
a close game. I know Cardinalswill playing top, but this is this
is a team that will wear youdown through a game as well, So
it's even harder to really go wegot a shot on this because these guys

(01:23:26):
are going to keep literally physically beatingyou up until the end of the game.
I'm going Ravens to win with theCardinals with the points. I think
Ravens are too inconsistent right now ofa team for me. Either five and
two, I get it, butlike they go one week where they're the
world beaters and then the next weekwhere they have a dogfight with the team
they really should be. And that'slike kind of frustrating if you if you

(01:23:47):
kind of follow them or try togamble on them or pick them, it's
frustrating. I'm gonna go with theCardinals. Yes they're losing some steam,
Yes they're gonna lose this game, but maybe they can lose it by a
touchdown, maybe they can get aback door cover. I'm gonna go Cardinals
with the points. Raven's to win. Some of that football season, we
have the Chicago Bears at the LostChange Los Angeles Chargers in a barn burner

(01:24:09):
of a game. The Chargers arefavored by eight and a half. Yeah,
I is Tyson Beaijen playing? Arewe getting Justin Fields back? Not
official, but I would expect Fields. I would expect Fields to be out.
Doesn't matter. Give me the Chargersto win and cover. I don't
love having the Chargers winning game byeight and a half points, but I

(01:24:31):
don't think Tyson Baijen or Justin Fields, I don't think they're gonna put together
this great phenomenal game. Ultimately.I think the Bears, you know,
feel good story, there's no tapeon him. I think you know this
week the Chargers gonna see this iswhat the Bears are gonna do with Tyson
Beagen. This is how it's gonnawork. You know, we can now
since we've seen it now for awhole game, we can adapt and we

(01:24:54):
can practice around that. We canunderstand key in on that. I don't
think the Bears defense gonna stop JustinHerbert and the Chargers offense not super hyped
about the spread, but I can'tconfidently say the Bears make it close so
the Chargers to win and cover.Yeah, the Chargers are in this desperation
mode. It's it's gonna be likewe need to win this game. I

(01:25:15):
think they're gonna be focused. They'regonna make sure they pull out all the
stops from the playbook just to makesure they win this game. I think
they win and cover. As youmentioned, now there's tape out on Baigent.
I think teams will know how toattack them, just like you said,
and that's gonna be the difference. The Chargers still have plenty of good
players on defense that should be betteron defense. This could be the start
of how they turn things around. It's a get right game. It's a
game where they know they just haveto show up, so Chargers will winning

(01:25:38):
cover. Raiders and Lions are theMonday night football game again, Bard Burner.
If you need to spend time withyour significant other, you find this
Sunday night and Monday night, youtell her I don't need to watch football.
The Raiders are are traveling to Detroit. The Lions are favored by eight
points. Cease give me that allday. The Raiders suck. I don't
care who the starting quarterback is rightnow, I have no faith in those

(01:26:00):
guys. And lines beat up onbad teams, specially at home. So
sleep easily on Monday night knowing thatyour cover of eight points will be there
for the Lions. They were gonnabeat that spread. Yeah, you know,
everyone knows. I'll be watching.I watch all the games. But
if you're a person who can't forwhatever reason, someone at home doesn't want

(01:26:20):
you to watch, once you tospend time with them, you just come
ask me what happened. I'll giveyou a good update. We can talk
about it on the show next week. Click. We always do. And
I know this, this is maybeyour free pass this weekend for Hey.
You know sometimes Sunday night football andon a night football game stick they picked
the wrong ones. You know, maybe people thought that Justin Fields would be
good this this year and that's whythey picked that one, and the Chargers
would be a good team. Godis why they keep on putting the Raiders

(01:26:43):
in all these games. I knowthere's a big fan base, but I
don't know. So I'm gonna getLions to win and cover two. I
think Jared Groffkins things back on track. It was just it's a different,
you know, different game. You'replaying an AFC team you don't usually play
with the Ravens, and yes, they're doing the same thing with the Raiders,
but the Raiders aren't very good,so we'll go line to win and
cover. All right. See,So, any final thoughts for the week.
No, I'm loving the Bengals upsetpick though it's beautiful welcome. Yes,

(01:27:08):
definitely not betting anything quite yet. We'll see if I change our mind
by Sunday. My final thoughts seasis I still hate the NFL scheduling.
There's no bye weeks this week. It's literally the middle of the season and
there's no bye weeks. There's noreason, there's no holidays, why you
wouldn't do a bye week. Andthis is why we have bie weeks extending

(01:27:29):
into fantasy football playoff range. Becausewe don't have a bye week in Week
nine, every team is in action. That just seems stupid to be.
I don't know that makes serious sense. I agree, down with Goodell.
Down with Goodell. We just gota new contract, but it's gonna be
his last ones. You can't liveforever for this Season's gonna have to retire.
But yeah, So final thing hereis make sure to like and subscribe
