(00:01):
Hello and welcome to the Third andthe Down Football Show. I am Joe
with me a Cecil as always hereto talks of NFL football. We have
a big event this week for Cecil, but we're still here to do the
podcast. We're going to recap weekeight, previy week nine. First of
all, Cecil, how you doing. I'm doing great man. Yeah,
some big, big life events happeningthis week. That's why I will not

(00:23):
be here next week. You know, you'll have a lovely guest host here
along with Joe. But yeah,it's exciting times. Marriage is in about
thirty about a little less than thirtysix hours now, so getting ready and
ready talks of football before we'll getto that. Oh yeah, the best
way to get ready for a weddingstalks of football next week. As you
said, you'll have a replacement thatthe whole YouTube feature if you watch us

(00:47):
on YouTube, will still say CecilWalker. I'm not going to change that
up, but we'll make it knownthat it is not Cecil Walker in some
way so that the person giving thoseopinions is not going to confuse for Cecil,
because God knows that's the last thingwe want. But Cecil, let's
get it All Star started with ourrecap of Week eight. We'll start it
off with Thursday Night Football again likeusual, the Bills beat the Buccaneers twenty
four to eighteen. Now, theBills had control of this one for you

(01:11):
know, the first half. Youknow, the end of the third quarter,
the Buccaneers score touchdown late, theygo for two and get it to
cut it to six. Like weknow, when teams are down fourteen,
a lot of teams will end upgoing for two for the analytical reasons,
even though it's probably just do itmore of the time anyway, for those
reasons. But what we saw wasthe Bills were the better team. Josh
Allen did have a turnover and nowhe actually has a shoulder injury, so

(01:33):
he did not practice today while we'rerecording this on Wednesday as they get ready
to take on our Cincinnati Bengals. But you know, the Bills were the
better team. The Buccaneers kept itclose enough to cover the spread or to
keep it within the spread. Andyou know, still some concerns with the
Bills though, with the way they'replaying. Right. You know, the
Bills they came out and played reallywell in the first half, but kind
of the same thing as we sawwith that Jets game, first game of

(01:56):
the season. You know, thesecond half, things start not working out
as well. You know, theyare not as dominant in the second half.
They kind of let their foot offthe gas. You know, Josh
Allen makes some mistakes. Obviously gothurt in this one. That can affect
a little bit of a the lackof points kind of in the fourth quarter.
But I mean, you're looking atthis Buccaneers team and they weren't in

(02:17):
it for three quarters. Basically, they were getting crushed in the first half.
They managed to, you know, eke out some points here and there,
especially towards the end of the half, and then the third quarter,
you know, they were getting punchedagain, and then by the fourth quarter,
oo, they just got enough. You know, we're converting. Honestly,
they should have probably been out ofthat game. I think three times
from what I recall from Thursday night, because I think the Bills got two

(02:40):
separate fourth down penalties where the Buccaneerswere going for it was like fourth and
nine plus each time, and theyeither got a personal foul run from the
passer or some kind of polding callwhere basically it was automatic first downs and
you're just I'm just sitting there andit was two times on that drive,
but basically Mike Evans then caught thattouchdown pass on I was just sitting there

(03:05):
going, what are what are theydoing? Like they could just lock this
game up. Who's ballot people onfourth down when you're up two possessions,
worst case he catches the ball, like, don't give all the momentum way
because you're committing stupid penalties moving intothe ball upfield. So I mean,
there's something to take away from thisgame. It's a lot of the same
old, same old. We've beensaying about the Bills so far. They're
undisciplined. I don't know how goodthey're gonna fare against other big teams.

(03:30):
Obviously the big win against the Dolphins, but again that's like the last complete
game they've done. They are playingdown to their competition. They you know,
the Buffalo Bills are the ultimate Iwill play at the level of whoever
my opponent is, and they're reallystarting to do that, and that's not
a good look for an elite team. Like you can't just as an elite
team, you can't just decidenly justshow up. What a team's good,

(03:52):
like you got to play all thetime. That's what Patriots did, That's
what you know. The Colts staylePeyton Manning like they were good all year
round, and you know they'd evenfind another gear to amp up their game
the rest of year. But thisjust leads you with inconsistency. You know,
home field playoff advantage is up forgrabs this year because everyone's had a
slow start, and Buffalo is aheck of a home field advantage as well,

(04:15):
So same problems for Buffalo. Imean, the Buccaneers were this close
to Chris Godwin literally just turning aroundand like having his arms out and the
ball like literally hitting his arms andit being a touchdown. We're so close
to literally within that hail Mary throw. And the conversation this week being what
I was talking about last week withthe Bills being fraud's questionable, My dad

(04:38):
would have one hundred percent been theconversation all the way up until Sunday and
then be the conversation throughout this weekis that the Bills and why were the
Bills in that situation? Because theycouldn't finish a game and it's gonna haunt
them and they're not gonna be ableto can you to carry the success and
get wins against better teams, whichwe'll preview in this week's game as well,
but overall, Bills get to win. I was said that spread was

(05:00):
a little too high. I knewthat they were just gonna bomb the ball
at the end of the game.To Mike Evans and something we get through.
You can roll back the tape andhear that one definitely cease and and
you know, like we said,I think the Bills I would love to
see them just put a team tobed and just end the game. If
they win this game by fourteen,we're having a different discussion. I also
say we thought the AFC would bepretty I mean, we thought there were

(05:24):
three contenders, but we thought there'sso many good teams in the AFC.
All but one team are within twogames of each other right now, still
early, but that's still pretty impressiveconsidering you look at the other conference,
the NFC, and that's not thecase. Do you know who that one
team is who's not within two gamesof everyone else? I'm gonna say it
is. Who is it? TheNew York Giants AFC oh AFC, Yeah,

(05:56):
nuh duh uh, you got it, ding ding ding us must be
your week. So yeah, it'svery competitive. So they got to start
getting these things going because at theend of the year they're gonna lose playoff
seeding. They're gonna maybe lose aplayoff spot if things keep on going this
way and the injuries they have,so definitely with you on that. Let's
move on to Sunday. We'll startoff with some of the one PM games

(06:16):
here seas. We have the Cowboysbeating the Rams forty three to twenty.
This one was never close. Youknow, the Cowboys coming off the buy
and everything look like they're a differentteam. Dak Prescott had a pretty good
game. Ceedee Lamb had a verygood game if you had him in fantasy.
You know that overall, just playedup to their potential for once.
That's very nice. And the Ramsmaybe showing that maybe they got a little

(06:41):
bit overhyped early in this season. They still have a lot of holes in
their team. They had to usea lot of draft picks that maybe a
lot of teams don't use, likethe fourth and fifth round draft picks are
getting a lot of playing time. And then Matt Stafford also hurt his thumb
on a throw, so we'll seehow he does. It's unconfirmed whether he's
gonna miss this week. We'll getto the pick later. But that makes
things a little more complicated for theRams moving forward. Absolutely. I mean,

(07:02):
who are the Dallas Cowboys at thispoint? You know, they come
out like this in games. Youknow, every couple of weeks, they
have these dominant games against these teams. You know, that's the team we
were talking about when we were previewingthis season, was that's the kind of
team we saw out there. That'sthe team we went this team could win
a super Bowl. It's stacked andobviously they've had some injuries since that point

(07:24):
that make them a little less threateningas that kind of full you know,
super Bowl contender, you know title. We throw around people a lot,
but I mean, this was animpressive win against the Rams team that has
overperformed this year. But it's justwhat this tells me more than anything when
we talk about a lot on thisshow, is you know, that's great,

(07:46):
they beat this team by this much, But the question is, why
are they so inconsistent? When Isee this kind of inconsistency. A lot
of that ultimately comes down to coaching, you know, to have these wild
swings weekend and week out. There'sno real way to explain it much.
The coach is not getting these guysready. They're all ultra talented. The
roster is arguably one of the bestin the NFL. We have no real

(08:07):
doubt about that. Both of usare more happy to admit that. But
the reality is that they don't cometo play every week. And that's because
the motivation, the game planning, and just you know, any kind of
when a situation arises their coach doesn'thappen. It's easy because Michae McCarthy doesn't
have to do anything when they're winning, when they go up by you know,
three touchdowns are only a game.Micha McCarthy doesn't have to do anything

(08:28):
else. But when the games areclose or you know, just not blowout.
See, he loses them games andhe's going to continue to lose the
games. And you know, there'sa big matchup this weekend. We'll see
how it stacks out. But Imean the Cowboys need to I need to
see them do not blow every teamout consistently every week, fighting them to

(08:48):
see impressive, consistent wins where theyput teams away on a weekend, week
out basis, and they can pullout wins too instead of it just being
kind of every once in a whilethey look good and then they're going to
go back to getting crushed or somethingbecause it's just not what good teams do.
Yeah, a good game this weekendagainst the Eagles would go a long

(09:09):
way to building some trust with someof our even our picks for them,
Like I can't pick them in theplayoffs against the Eagles of forty nine ers
right now. If they kind ofplay well down the stretch and do some
of the things that you said,I could do it, but it's hard
to overcome the coaching and Mike McCarthylooks like this week was pretty good,
but we've seen what he's done inthe past, so I'm very very hesitant
to do that. Good win forthe Cowboys. We'll see if they can

(09:31):
keep it going this week next oneup Seas. The Packers stink. They're
very bad, very bad team.I don't know house to put it.
They playing very terribly. Joe Barryon defensive coordinators really doesn't have them ready
to play. The Vikings four gamewin streak they went twenty four to ten.
But Kirk Cousins goes down with anachilles injury. So they went from
starting off the season poorly where fansmaybe want into tank and get a new

(09:54):
quarterback because they don't seem like theywant to bring back Kirk Cousins anyway,
to winning four straight games to nowstarting Jaron Hall, a rookie who was
not like one of the best rookiequarterbacks. It's a it's a mess for
the bike and they got to win. They're listening to Creed, they're jamming
out to some Creed in the lockerroom before the games. But I don't
know Jaron Hall. I don't knowif that he can he can really harness

(10:15):
the power of Creed like Kirk Cousinscan. I don't know, man.
I mean, if we listen toanything that we've learned about Scott stop,
you know, and just creep throughthe lyrics, is you know, and
you take me hire man, maybeJaron Hall can to a place where blind
man see you know. That's thething. I mean. I got my
arms wide open. I'm ready toaccept them, this new Vikings head quarterback.

(10:37):
Anyway. Yeah, it's a hugewell for them. I mean it
really has been one of the KirkCousins past years. And you know,
it's what does that mean? Becausethe Vikings still kind of suck. I
mean, who knows. So he'shaving a good statistical year, they're still
not in the hunt for anything.I mean they look like, maybe,
you know, after having such ahorrible start, maybe they seek into a

(11:00):
wild card kind of deal. That'sa possibility. But by the end of
this it was just kind of ayou know, without without Kirk Cousins,
they don't have a shot at anything. It's kind of embrace the tank,
the GM the Vikings, I betis sitting there just going I hate my
life. I could have traded KirkCousins, gotten probably maybe even a first

(11:20):
rounder for the guy, and nownot only does he not have Kirk,
not have Kirk Cousins anyway, healso has no draft pick for him.
So and that, folks, iswhy you uh, you know, you
tank, and when you can tradeaway people and you have no real shot
at winning anything, just just tradethe guy, man, Like it's okay,
Like I don't think Minnesota was gonnasit there and go, oh my

(11:43):
god, I can't believe you tradedKirk Cousins for a first round pick.
I think most Vikings hand would havejust gone, hell, yes, I'm
sick of that guy. Anyway,we weren't going to resign him. He's
not worth the money. Let's gotake our chance in the quarterback sweepstakes.
I think Minnesota fans would be honestlyexcited for that prospect of change because what

(12:05):
they've been seeing recently is not anythingthat is sustainable. So, you know,
it sucks for you know, Minnesota'splayers season to see Kirk Cousins go
down, but ultimately it might bebetter off for the Vikings long term for
Kirk Cousins to not be there. So they can lose some games, but
tough loss for them, you know, and they get the win, but

(12:28):
you know, at what cost.Absolutely I misspoke. The Vikings started one
and three and then have won threegames since then, so they're now four
and for. But the like yousaid, I'm with you. I think
if you have a chance to tankin this league, you got to do
it because being in the middle we'veseen has get gotten teams nowhere this point.
Start Jaron Hall the rest of theway. See what you got,

(12:50):
Maybe don't bring back Justin Jefferson andrisk any injury to him. But now
you get in a situation where youcan resign Kirk Cousins with a torn achilles,
maybe at a lower price, butyou don't know what type of player
you're getting. Not that the mobilitywas really his big driving factor, but
achilles. The injuries are still serious, or you have to go on the
free agent market and sign someone becauseyou already have four wins. If you

(13:11):
win too many more of these games, you're not getting one of the top
rookies. So it's gonna be aninteresting situation from Minnesota. You know,
they have the new management in place, and they got rid of like Dalvin
Cook and some of the other guysthat have been so crucial to their team
over the last several years. Butit's definitely be interesting to see what they
do in the offseason now. Andwe'll just have to keep on following along
this season. Next game up seas, we have the tail of two different

(13:35):
quarterbacks. We had Desmond Ridder gettingbenched for turning the ball over, fumbling
a lot was a lot of theissue there. And we had Will Levis
in his first career NFL start twohundred and thirty eight yards and four touchdowns.
Three of those were to DeAndre Hopkins. Now sees I always live in
the opinion like Will Levis needed timeto sit in college, he didn't read

(13:56):
defense as the best. He trustedhis arm too much. But he looked
really good in this game. We'renot saying that this is gonna be like,
hey, he's a finished product rightnow. But at the same time,
he had a very good start toa career and you might give them
some more juice than Ryan Tannehill did. And it looks like Ryan Tannehill's out
this week, so they're gonna needWill Levis to play well again, right.
I mean, you look at thatgame, and I mean this will

(14:18):
be a big test this week againstthe Steelers defense. But I mean,
if you're a Titans organization, likeyou know what Tannehill is, and Tannehill's
washed at this point, that's reallythe reality with him. I mean,
why not give Will Levis a shot? Honestly? I mean it's again,
I think they gave him League Willisa shot last year and he did nothing

(14:39):
with it and the Titans basically gotbattle in the playoffs. It was so
bad that Josh s Doabbs basically hadto do a spot start at the end
of season. So if you getWill Levice going or just I mean,
Will Levis just has to be asgood as Ryan Tannehill, which is really
not a high bar for anybody. And we both agree that Will Levis has

(15:01):
great arm talent, He's got thetools. He just doesn't you know again,
he can't read defenses. He sowedmightily with that kind of stuff in
the UK, and he just isn'ta polished you're ready for the NFL's one
of the younger QB prospects ever drafted. So I mean, really, if
you're the Falcons, you just flatout are sitting there just going you just

(15:24):
underestimate your opponent. This is theNFL. You just assumed you were gonna
probably walk into this game with aneasy victory against the rookie quarterback, and
he came out firing. So hatsoff to him, just going, you
know, I don't care, likeI'm here to compete, and I'm here,
I'm gonna throw the gold ball whatever, I'll throw it up to DeAndre
Hopkins. See what happens, andthe Falcons just didn't adjust to it,
didn't do anything. So I meanshame on them. It just shows you,

(15:48):
you know, how far that teamstill has to go. And yeah,
it just was not a good product. Jon Robinson wasn't used as much
as he probably should have been. You know, really the offense really sputtered.
Desmond Ritter had some turnovers. Youknow, what's his leash? I
don't know, doesn't really matter ifhe's in there. You don't use your
aerial attack at all anyway, Sowho knows. But maybe taylorhani Key can

(16:15):
be more successful. I mean that'sthat's a stretch because I mean, what
is the margin for air with thequarterback in this system? Like they throw
ten passes a game, Like,is it really that big a margin of
air? Anyway? They're not throwinga downfield like, what does it matter?
They might as well be running atriple option. So yeah, Falcons

(16:37):
I think just fell to sleep inthis one. And for a team that's
really not that talented and is ina tight race for a very winnable division,
they let one kind of just slipaway to a rookie quarterback who they
probably with the guys they have inthe secondary and the way that defense is
played this year should have been alot better. I went to see.
So I do think will Levis isthe best option moving forward because at least

(16:59):
you get some to push the fieldvertically. And what did that do?
Derek Henry rushed for one hundred andone yards on twenty two carries. It
finally seemed like he got going. This is, as we said, very
tight AFC race. So if theyget something going in these next couple of
games with Will Levis at quarterback, maybe they can get something done long term
this season. And also you figureout if you have the quarterback because lat
year the whole season we're sitting therewondering if they had anything with Malik Willis

(17:22):
and then Ryan Tannehill got hurt andWillis got thrown into the frame. Found
out maybe they didn't. Now weactually get to see Will Levis for a
couple games and see if he cancome through. Next one up cease we
have these Saints beating the Colts thirtyeight to twenty seven. It looks like
the Saints offense has really rebounded wellafter we kind of had some questions about
them after last week. This isa game where Derek Carr had three hundred

(17:47):
and ten yards passing and two touchdownsreally open things up, and the Colts
defense has some issues. This isa unit that we thought would be a
little bit of a strength for them. We know that, you know,
Anthony Richardson isn't healthy, but theyhave two good running backs too. Just
couldn't keep up offensively with a teamthat scored thirty eight points. These Yeah,
I mean, nobody had this asone of their shootouts of the week.

(18:10):
I'm sure, I mean we did. We thought the Colt Stephens has
been good and you know, itwas, like you said, it's supposed
to be strike this year. Ithink the Saints really came out of that
game. I think I think DerekCarr has been fired up all week probably.
You know, they had kind ofthat short mini bye week, you
know, ten days off while theyplayed on Thursday. I think from that

(18:32):
point on he was pissed. Imean, I think it's really just that
simple. I mean I would betoo. You know, you sit there
and you go, we almost tiedthat game on and almost won. He
was literally fell off our fingertips andyou know, that's one play, but
the reality is there were a lotof plays where he was he was battling
and people weren't running their routes. They weren't trying hard. They weren't communicating,

(18:56):
or you know, they didn't knowwhat the route was, or they
just didn't think they would the balls. They didn't try as hard. And
I think he got in that lockerroom and has been a motivating force.
I think their car is a goodquarterback. Not saying great, but I
think he's good. And I thinkthat extra time to game plan was a
big benefit to them. The Coltsoffense keeps scoring points. I don't I

(19:18):
don't know how it's they really don't. I have Jonathan Taylor back, which
is great, but their receivers, you know, Al Pierce, those guys
aren't anything to really just go wow, they have a good receiver corps.
There's nothing even I'd say good. It's just very I guess solid, like
these are solid role player guys. They have a receiver, but they're getting
the job done and governa Minshew's watchingthe ball downfield, and I mean it's

(19:41):
more than a lot of NFL teamsare willing to do these days. So
I mean, hats off to them. Let's let's go the old Gunslinger offense,
and you know we're gonna get someinterceptions. You know, we're gonna
have a lot of incomplete balls. We might go some three and outs,
but man, we're gonna nail fortyyard pass every once in a while and
that could change the whole game. And maybe we nail a couple. We're
gonna shootout. Yeah, absolutely, and Rashid Shaheed had three catches one hundred

(20:03):
fifty three yards in a touchdown. The criticism of Derek Carr was he wasn't
given his guys an opportunity to doanything deep. He was just checking it
down to Kamara, which is greatfor my fantasy teams, don't get me
wrong, but he needs to openthings up they did in that game.
The last three games for the Coltscease. They've given up thirty seven points
to the Jagguars, thirty nine pointsto the Browns with their quarterback issues and

(20:23):
offense, and then thirty eight tothe Saints. They have to get things
figured out pretty quickly because that's notgoing to win in many games in the
NFL level. So maybe a trendto watch for the Colts the Saints.
You know this NFC playoff picture. You win a couple more games, you're
right there in the thick of itsince they're four and four right now,
so we'll see how they do downthe stretch as well. Next one up
seems we have the Dolphins beating thePatriots thirty one to seventeen. I don't

(20:47):
have too much on this game becauseit's sort of what we expected from this
one. I will say that TuaTagovaloa is six to zero against Bill Belichick
in his career. That is thegreatest record for a quarterback against Bill Belichick
all time. No, I meanthe Dolphins put them away again. You
know a lot of these Patriots gameshave kind of started the same way,
where the Patriots kind of get offdecently well, and part of that's,

(21:11):
you know, the scripting, right. I think Bill Belichick and script and
kind of figure stuff out from agame planning perspective throughout the week very well.
He's one of the best coaches inthe NFL history. I don't think
anyone can dispute that. Even what'sgoing on now. What I think he
doesn't do super well is I don'tthink he's been adjusting very well. And
I just think, you know, the first down the field is not that

(21:32):
great. I mean, all allthe Dolphins players had another great game.
You know, Tyreek Hill closes overa thousand yards in eight games. That's
unreal. He moster was a littlehurt, so he didn't have the elite
game. Jeff Wilson's back to tokind of share the carries. It sucks
the Patriots that Kendrick Bourne's out. That's probably their best offensive weapon, i'd

(21:57):
say, especially when it comes toactually making a play downfield, because you
know, you've got Hunter Henry that'snot going to really move the ball via
downfield. He's great, safeteople likeit. He's great there to get a
couple of you know, yards whenhe needed all the third down, But
he's not the guy you're sending downon a go route or you know,
post twenty yards up the field. So I mean, that's a blow for

(22:19):
them. It doesn't really matter.Patriots are probably I'd never thought I would
say the Patriots are on the worstteams the NFL. You know, I
thought we're going to see a veryaverage team for a while, but this
team is just this team has literallygone below all expectations, you know,
and I'm kind of mad. Iwish I had just gone, you know,
to the sports books and met youknow something on Bill belichicked out of

(22:41):
the worst record, I would haveprobably gotten some excellent odds. Definitely would
There was so much faith. Imean, if you look at the roster
of the build up, it's notvery good if you. I think a
lot of the benefit of the doubtwas just Bill Belichick being go Belichick.
And they'll still have their games wherethey beat teams that they should because to
him, they still have games forthe game plan. Well, but they've

(23:02):
had so many corner injuries and theynever really had too much offensive talent to
begin with. And now Kendrick Bourn'sout for the season. It's looking like
a year where maybe they should startlosing some games and looking for a new
quarterback. So we'll see how thatgoes the rest of the way. Dolphins
now traveled to Germany. We're gonnapick that game against the Chiefs, really
big one ever in Frankfurt, Sothat's gonna be something to watch out for
later. See maybe one of theworst games in NFL history. The Jets

(23:26):
beat the Giants thirteen to ten.We had Tyrod Taylor get hurt and go
to the hospital be checked out.I haven't heard anything since or seen anything.
It seems like he's okay. Butthen they had Tommy DeVito step into
the game. Now, Tommy DeVitoplayed college football at Syracuse, was not

(23:47):
very highly thought of as a prospect, pretty much just on the roster because
Daniel Jones was hurt, and nowDaniel Jones has been clear to come back.
Tommy Divino went two of seven fornegative one yards. He got sacked
twice for nine yards. Cards Heran the ball four times for twelve yards.
Not very good, probably not theworst performance the Giants have ever seen
a quarterback, though it was arainy game. I'll give him that.

(24:10):
But the Jets come back. Theyget late field goal after they throw the
ball deep, the center spots theball, the referee does not touch it
at all, doesn't really set it. Some people who are fans of the
Jets say, well, the centerdid a good job of spotting the ball
by lining it up with the linejudge. People who are not fans of
the Jets are saying, hey,the center can't spot the ball. It
has to be the referee. Jetsget the field goal if they end up

(24:33):
getting a field goal in overtime, winning the game. Lots of controversy there.
But the Jets win and win anugly one. They really do.
And you know two years ago thiscame up, like came up at the
end of it the much Maligne Cowboysforty nine ers matchup, not last year
of the year before where they didn'tgive the ball, like they kept trying

(24:56):
to like take the ball from theref. Like the ref has to set
the ball, Like you need toliterally like hold the ball as soon as
the rest sitting there at the line, you literally let you give them the
ball. Go here, you go, please set the ball and then you
snap it. But like just theawareness you've got to understand you got to
give the ball to the ref oreither that or you sprint through the line

(25:19):
and you give it to the repthat's gonna set the ball. But love
of God, like give them theball, Like that's what you need to
understand. While you can all startsetting up and lining stuff up while he's
setting the ball. So just givehim the ball instead of freaking out,
Like I get it. There's alot of adrenaline, there's a lot of
stuff going on. It's an NFLgame. Every second is taking down and

(25:41):
you're trying to get the ball off. But you literally like need to know
this. It's just situationally, LikeI don't know how many times you got
to say it. You know,it's just got to be known that you
like, if you're the center ofan NFL team, you should know from
the get killed. The first thingin training camp you should say in reds

(26:03):
so Drell somebody said your coach shouldsay to you is no matter what,
you've got to make sure the reftouches the ball and sets it. Otherwise
nothing is going to happen. Likeliterally, it's happened two times. The
rest aren't just gonna go, Okay, he set the ball, We're good.
They're gonna literally keep trying to takeit away from you and the clock's
gonna keep still running. So Jet'sgot away with one there. Yeah,

(26:26):
it's just like this stupid shit,Like it's just it's just not that hard.
It really isn't there's basic rules. That's my rant on this garbage game.
I mean, we're talking twenty threetotal points and uh, that's that's
bad. Like that's just some ofthe worst product I've ever heard of on

(26:48):
a field. And the thing thatto the two teams and one of the
biggest markets in the world. Iput together two teams, Jets at least
tried, you know, the Jets, Aaron Rodgers. They they put their
eggs in that basket. It didn'thappen. Fine that I will give them
a little bit of a pass ortheir offense. Their defense is really good.
The Giants just suck like they didn'thave a good plan. You know.

(27:11):
I don't think that the game wouldhave really changed that much with Daniel
Jones. I really don't. Maybewe've coould have gotten twenty six points,
but the reality is the offense forthem is horrible. They just trade away
one of their star defensive linemens,so they are officially sellers. Officially get
are not gettlemen. Their new GMis basically just is, you know,

(27:33):
just shipping people out, which youknow, I think that's a good move,
and I think it's just, youknow, they can't keep this up.
It sucks to see them having tokind of go through a rebuild,
and I don't know what that meansfor Brian Dable long term. But the
reality is Daniel Jones should have neverbeen given to that contract. They should

(27:55):
have paid him less and just saidif you don't want it, take a
hike. I know that's easy tosay in hindsight, but I said the
same thing last year. You canlook it up. I said, don't
pay Daniel Jones all this money.Literally, it's not worth it. You're
you're backing yourself into a corner witha guy that I don't think can win,
and you know he's trying to leverageyou leverage him. Where's Daniel Jones

(28:17):
gonna go? And the reality islike he probably would have gone somewhere,
but no one else was gonna paythe money. The giants were The giants
were the ones that were desperate forDaniel Jones, and he knew it,
and they took advantage. And there'snothing wrong with the player taking advantage of
the opportunity. That's how you know, business works. It's a you know,
it's a market. He played them, and he's got a hell of
an agent who played the hell outof the New York Giants. Frass.

(28:40):
But if you're the GM, yougot to sit there and go, you
know, is this is on you? And ultimately, Brian Dabels should not
be blamed for this and anything. The GM shouldn fire before he does.
But you know that's not usually howit works in the NFL, So yeah,
it doesn't. If Brian Dable,I'd be going kicking and screaming,
saying, do not give this guy'sthe quarterback again. I'd got the most

(29:02):
out of him. But maybe heyou know, he got Josh Allen to
a point that was really good.Maybe he had too much faith in him
his ability to turn guys around ormake them so much better. And I
don't know. I just I feellike you could have gotten a better quarterback
for a lesser price, or drafteda quarterback, or done so many different
things that would have I think they'redoing better with Tyrod Taylor. Yeah,

(29:22):
you'll see if he's able to play. I mean, Daniel Jones is cleared,
but it might be a point whereyou turned to Tyrod Taylor full time
if he's able to go. Allright, we'll stick with the ugly game
sees the Jaguars beat the Steelers twentyto ten. Not a lot of good
football here, to be honest. Both quarterbacks had some issues. Etn left,

(29:42):
the game came back. Evan Ingramhad a nice game eighty eight yards,
but I got nothing. This wasjust an ugly, ugly game in
the weather, and exactly how youpicture a game going for Pittsburgh Steelers football.
Yeah, it was bad, youknow, Kitty Pig I got hurt.
Who cares? Mitch Schrvitzki came inand throw to his left. It's

(30:07):
just, I mean, it's amess. It's a mess over there for
the Steelers. They don't have areal offense. George Pickens should just get
the ball at all times. He'sreally only it's worth anything ultimately. And
yeah, Jaguars leading on Etn's havinghonestly a heck of a season so far,
like just really just from a statsstandboy, that guy's really just taken
off, so hats off to him. The Jaguars offense, Calvin Ridley had

(30:32):
some drops, some places he wantsback. And yeah, again the Jaguars
are very beatable team. They areanother team where you know, sure they
have a good record right now, some people keep picking them basically to go
to the ABC Championship game and losethe Chiefs. You know, that all
narrative, But the reality is,I think the Jaguars have just been doing
good, not great, this wholetime, and I think this playoff picture

(30:56):
is gonna look a lot different fromanother month. For now, because ultimately
I think the Jaguars are gonna winthe NFC South, don't have any doubt
in that, But they come playofftime, I don't don't trust them,
and again I don't think you know, they have count Ridley, that's one
thing that's better. A lot ofthe rosters are the same, and you
know they basically backdoored come from behindvictory, one of the biggest meltdowns in

(31:18):
Chargers history. You know, they'renot gonna play the Chargers in the playoffs
every years. They can't always havethe Chargers Charger. So we'll see what
happens with this team. And Ineed them to take another step forward before
anybody can really just say, like, these guys are it. They are
beating up on very mediocre teams.Even the win against the Bills. We're

(31:40):
finding out the Bills are struggling rightnow, so it doesn't make as much
sense. And also that was inLondon, where the Jaguars field more familiar
than most teams, So definitely notthe six and two team that you would
think they would be next one up. Since we have the Eagles winning thirty
eight to thirty one over the Commanders. The Commanders always seem to give the
Eagles trouble, and they did.The Commanders were winning this one at halftime.

(32:02):
Sam Howe had a very good firsthalf. He looks like he could
be a decent quarterback in the league. I know we go back and forth
on that some weeks, but overalways played okay in a situation that maybe
is an ideal. They end uplosing in the second half. You know,
if you're smart like me and season, maybe you live. Bet the
Eagles to win that one at halftimeand let him come back. A.
J. Brown had a pretty goodgame with one hundred and thirty yards two

(32:24):
touchdowns. Jalen Hurts is playing hurtright now and it's still turning the ball
over too much, but they're gettingwins. As a result of the loss
sees, the Commanders have decided tosell everyone. Chase Young's been traded,
Montes what's been traded. It's anew ownership group. They're likely going to
fire Ron Rivera at the end ofthe year, probably going to change the
name. All the players I thinkare just pretty much gone. It's back

(32:45):
to rebuild Bode for the Commanders.Yeah, I mean, we want to
talk about some big news and we'lltalk about probably when we get to the
teams they went to. But youknow, Chase Young and Montes Sweat both
just getting next. I mean thestrength of their their entire team is that
defensive line in that front seven reallyand they just took big, two big

(33:05):
names off from there. So yeah, you know it's when you see that
happening and your player on that team, you see some of the guys,
you really go, wow, thoseguys are really talented. Just get basically
mortgaged off. That's when you youknow, you know, if you're Sam
howe To, you're just kind ofgoing, shit, you know, I
don't know if I'm gonna have ajob next year. You know, when

(33:27):
you're you're that kind of bridge quarterback, you know who's gonna keep you is
robbed. You know, the nextregime is probably not gonna go I want
Sam how To be my guy.So it sucks everybody in that team.
You never know, they might playharder because of it, because it's kind
of one of those everyone's kind ofplaying for a job, and you know,
whoever wants to kind of stick tothis roster is gonna have to start

(33:49):
putting on a show. And youknow, Sam Howe I think is accomplishing
that. But yeah, I don'tthink anybody's safe right now with those guys
gone. Those were probably the best, some of the most talented guys on
the whole team. Maybe you knowone handful of guys that I would say,
are you know guys who could buildaround the rest of them are replaceable
guys. Yeah, I'm kind ofglad for them that they started trading those

(34:10):
guys away and getting the rebuilt started, because trade headline was pretty uneventful.
Other than the Commanders, there wasa couple other trades, but those were
the major pieces. So, likeyou said, we'll talk about that later.
We'll talk about the Eagles when theirupcoming game with the Cowboys and make
our picks. We'll keep it movingto the Panthers beating the Texans fifteen to
thirteen. The Panthers got a lastsecond field goal to win. This game

(34:31):
was pretty ugly in a different sense. I mean, it was close,
but battle rookie quarterbacks and they didn'tplay all that well either, and de
Bryce Young had two hundred thirty fiveyards in the touchdown and the win.
Congrats for the Panthers for getting theirfirst win of the season, but at
the end of the day, prettyboring game over all season. Yeah,
it really was. I don't havetoo much to say. CJ. Stroud
didn't have the best game in theoffense really good. I don't know how

(34:53):
you you were you fall on this, but that they like basically like carried
the kicker off of field, whohas been a much maligned kicker who's missed
them. You know, that Bear'sgame last year comes to mind with the
Panthers and a Piniero, Like Igot no Vanza personally, but like what

(35:14):
is this, Like we're celebrating wejust won one game, like like like
I will never understand the team celebratingtheir first win in the season when you're
like one of the worst teams infootball. And that's fine, you go,
good job, I'm glad we gotto win, like we got over
that hump, but like to justlike raise your kicker in the air after

(35:37):
and it's not like you had adecisive game, like you won by a
field goal fifteen to thirteen. Likeand if anything, they're getting these like
stupid, this is weird. Likecontinuous fouls I keep happening at the end
of the game and it's just itwas a sloppy medicine. They like sit
there and just be like, wow, this is awesome. And then I

(36:00):
think when the players got hurt inthe celebration, it's just it's tacky.
It looks bad. Not a Pantherssaying just look at this, just going
what are we doing? Like it'sjust like I don't care, like there's
not everybody gets a trophy. Congrats, you gotta win, you get all
go cool, let's fill it onit. I'm proud of you guys forgetting

(36:21):
to win. But that's let's notact like we just want to accomplish something.
We'll come for something that usually sixteenteams back guys will accomplish in the
NFL every week. So maybe youshould stop acting like this you just want
something of maignificance and go We stillgot a lot of work to do.
That's my thought. I don't gofor it, go celebrate it was uh

(36:44):
you know what I think if itwas any position player catching a game winning
touchdown, I'm cool with it.Kickers, I just have something against begadn't
what screw it? Celebrate, gohave fun. You know it's the Panthers,
They're they're not going anywhere this year, and we have like in locker
room fighting with like Hayden saying likewe need people to take things serious.
With the ping pong table going inthe background and stuff. It's it's like

(37:05):
a whole thing, So go celebratewho cares. But either way, both
tur Key quarterbacks have shown that theyneed some room for improvement, even though
CJS john has probably had the betteryear so far. I love like the
NFL's like weird relationship with ping pongtable pung. Teams like love it and
it's like it's their whole like teambonding thing. But it's like the first

(37:25):
thing everybody fixates on as soon asthings start going wrong. They're like,
it's that ping pong table. Man. People are playing ping pong too much
and that's why we're losing games. It's like how much ping pong are how
many? How much are you playing? Like like, you know, maybe
I didn't do the best sometimes incollege, but I didn't sit there and
just go Mario Kart's the reason it'sruining my life. Bro Like it's just

(37:50):
kind of like just trying to likefind a scapegoat, like and then they
do this big symbolic like the pingpong tables getting put away. Guys,
it's time like, oh my god, suddenly your team's gonna go on a
massive win stream because nobody's playing pingpong. God forbid. The thirty minutes
will suddenly be used to such amaximum potential. So I love it.

(38:12):
It's like it's the same thing incorporate America. I feel like it's like
the default, like pizza party,to reward people and then create a better
work environment, we get a pingpong table, and as soon as shit
hits the fan, it's the pingpong table that ruined everything. So it's
a hard world. You know,I would not want to be a ping
pong table this, you know, this side of the Great Wall China.

(38:36):
I'm gonna be honest. There,I feel like they have an awesome time,
you know, I bet they do. And and you're right, season
I think it is up in corporateAmerica. They give you the nice treats
when things are going okay. Butgod knows, it's always a ping pong
table's fault. Or you know, like if your parents growing up like,
oh now, more video games. If you've got to see on a test,
well, I'll tell you what.Sometimes I'm just not very smart.
I'll tell you no amount of studyis going to fix that. Ping pong

(38:57):
table's not the problem. It's mystupid brain. So definitely something that goes
on all the time. And Ialways find it funny that, like,
who cares if there's a ping pongtable. I know they're playing, and
sometimes they're gambling for loads of moneybecause of professionals. Let them have some
fun. Who cares the Panthers havinga ping pong table is not gonna take
them from a one win team toa ten win team. Who cares?

(39:19):
I don't know. I'd like someoneto do an analytical study. All right,
Well, yeah, we're gonna findthat out. What teams have ping
pong tables, how well do theydo, what teams don't, how well
do they do, And we're goingto kind of compare the notes and see
how they do and figure it allout. Let's be a great research for
pat Bill Belichick of the Patriots probablydo not have a thing. Okay,
that's going to skew the sample thena little bit, I think, But
oh well, all right, nextone up, Seas The Seahawks beat the

(39:42):
Browns twenty four to twenty. Nowthe Seahawks took the very early lead,
went up by a lot, thoughtmaybe, hey, they're gonna get this
one in the bag. Run outthe clock with Kenneth Walker and Zach Sharboney.
But the Browns came back and actuallytook the lead twenty to seventeen in
the third quarter. It took alate touchdown from Geno Smith to help win
the game twenty four to twenty. So maybe the Seahawks taking their foot off

(40:06):
the gas a little bit. Weknow the Browns quarterback situation is bad,
so they can't score a ton ofpoints even though they score twenty in this
game. So good win for theSeahawks, only two losses on the year.
And for the Browns it's the same. It's the same multime old issues
with the quarterbacks and everything else.Last I checked, I don't think the
weather was really good. Again, that was the weather in this game.
I think it was all right.I think it was. I couldn't tell

(40:28):
by the little screen ninefl Sunday ticket. It's Seattle, so it probably could
have not rained, but it lookslike it's like the saddest days. It's
okay if you live in Seattle.I apologize, but you get it anyway.
Yeah, I mean the Seahawks looklike they had this in the bag
to start. You know, youget up like that on a team who
can't score points and then just stupidmistakes happen. The Browns are just they're

(40:54):
a very frustrating team because they literallyit's just like they're a decent quarterback away
from actually being good. And Idon't want that because I hate the Browns
with passion. I really do.And you know, I'm not keeping my
you know, I'm not keeping anunbiased opinion about this, like you can

(41:15):
judging a lot of things, butwhen it comes to the Browns, no,
I'm not dealing with it. I'mjust actually mentally frustrated by the teams
that play the Browns and the gameplans they put up and just the dumb,
dumb things that happen in these games. I literally cannot bet them because

(41:35):
of the stupid stuff that happens inthese games. But if they are unbettable,
like if you're a Cleveland's fan,like Cleveland brown said, you're probably
happy to claim half the time becauseyou keep just blindly betting the Cleveland Browns,
you probably ever ever win, probablybet another one hundred dollars on a
like Brown Super Bowl victory. Like, I don't know. I just I

(41:57):
don't get it. I don't knowwhat what the Cleveland Browns are. I
know their defense is really good, and when their offense has the ball,
they just better hope to God therunning back breaks off like a thirty yard
run. So hats off to them. They keep playing these games somehow getting
back. They lose this one, they're still four and two. What's this
going to look like over a seventeengame sample. I couldn't tell you right

(42:20):
now. I couldn't either. Thefact that PJ. Walker has a negative
EPA for play still and I knowI said it last week and still keeping
them in games is crazy. Heshows you how much talent that defense has.
Gino did throw two picks to kindof slow things down for the Seahawks,
but man, I don't know howthey're doing that. I know I
picked the Seahawks to win and coverin this game, and they ended up

(42:42):
pushing based on the pick that Igot earlier in the week at minus four,
So it's a whole thing. Idon't know how we figure out what
the Browns are doing next game upSeas. The Broncos upset the Chiefs twenty
four to nine. We did notsee this one coming. Patrick Mahomes did
have the flu, and we knowthe big flu game for Michael Jordan turned
into like one of the greats ofall time. For Patrick Mahomes, he

(43:02):
threw two interceptions and the Broncos,I mean really just shut him down.
First win over them since I believe, like twenty fifteen, it's been a
long time, So I guess propsto the Broncos and the Chiefs, you
know, still feel like they're avery good team, but this was this
was probably the worst they could haveplayed. Yeah, and I'm not going
to put too much into the Chiefslike for this. It may suck if

(43:24):
they end up losing home field advantagebecause of this game. Shame on news
outlets for like reporting this at likeeleven thirty am. But uh oh,
yeah, Pat Mahomes is the fluand like feels not good. That was
literally what the report said. Thereport was like, Patrick Mahomes has had

(43:45):
the flu for several days and hethis morning said he does not feel very
good, but he's going to play. That was like the literal headline,
almost word for word. You know, that would have been great, you
know, for gambling purposes, tonot bet on the Chiefs. I would
have not bet on them at all, you know. That's that's the point

(44:06):
of way, not waiting till Sundayto put things in. But man,
I couldn't have expected the whole offenseto perform as well as poorly as it
did. Russell and the Broncos offensedidn't do anything either, Like it was
not really that it wasn't out ofthe Chiefs range pretty much almost the entire
time, Like the Chiefs could havescored a touchdown have been winning this game,

(44:27):
like for three quarters. The Broncosaren't good at Mahomes being you know,
sick, you know, but that'sthe way it goes. You have
one of the best quarterbacks in theNFL, probably the best right now,
he's sick and like not close toone hundred percent. That's what your team's
gonna look like. We just sawwith the Bengals, right Joe Burrow wasn't

(44:49):
one hundred percent and they looked horrible. That's what franchise quarterbacks do for a
team when they are healthy. Theyelevate the whole team and yet to pay
them so much anyway that you knoweverything works with them if they don't work,
if they're hurt, or if theyare playing and not playing one hundred
percent. This is kind of theproduct you get where you're just like,

(45:10):
there's it's kind of weird to watchbecause you're just sitting there like expecting the
same stuff you always get, andthen you just see interceptions Aaron throws and
I mean, yeah, it's justthe Chiefs offense right now is basically Travis
Kelcey and then Pat Mahomes trying tobe Superman and he just couldn't do it
today. Man, It's it's hardto do that when you got the flu.

(45:32):
It's hard for me to go towork too. I can imagine playing
a NFL game feeling awful like that. But you know how that's off the
end you're getting it hindsight. Wasit the best idea to do that?
Maybe not, And honestly may havehurt his season, you know, his
MVP, you know, voting allthat stuff. Maybe. So yeah,

(45:53):
sometimes it's better to not have playedthan the play sick like that, because
I think Andy Reid in the backupsas the Chiefs has shown through the years
before Patrick Mahomes could still be ingames. I think this was a very
winnable game if you had to playthe backup. It's just it's part Mahomes.
So he said he could play, and you gotta trust that it didn't

(46:14):
work out. Yeah. My onlything with this game, other than the
fact that you're right, it seemedlike Patrick Mahomes just got injected with the
flu at like eleven am for noreason, because that's so first we heard
about it is that it should beillegal to clear the snow off of a
field because we were promised a snowgame. You know, we had like
an Air Force game that was snowingthe night before, also in Colorado,

(46:35):
obviously, and they cleared the fieldand it made it a non snow game.
That should be illegal. I don'twant to hear anyone saying, oh,
well, it's the best teams. You know, you want to see
him play on turfing in a dome. No, I want to see snow
games. I want to see sloppyweather. I know. I said some
of the games are earlier, ugly, they were still must watch games even
how bad they were. Bad footballis sometimes better than average football. I'm
just gonna go ahead and say thatno more clearing off the fields. Let's

(46:55):
get some more snow games in there, all right. Next one, we
have the Ravens meeting the Cardinals thirtyone to twenty four. Ravens had this
one in the bag to let theCardinals come back late to get a back
door cover. The big news herefor the Ravens as Gus Edwards had nineteen
carries, eighty yards and three touchdownsand then he said, I feel like

(47:17):
I can handle more of the load, a bigger load this week, so
we'll see how that goes. Heis one of the running backs with the
highest yards per carry if you haveat least two hundred career carries in his
career. After this game, theCardinals decided to trade Josh Dobbs to the
Vikings, who's going to be fillingin for Kirk Cousins after Jamis Winston decided

(47:37):
to stay in New Orleans and competefor the starting job that they have seemingly
not wanted to give him. JoshDobbs will be starting for the Vikings most
likely soon, and we'll see howthat goes. And now they're going to
be turning the offense over to Claytontune this week before Kyler Murray's ready to
come back. So they're embracing thetank. You know, they're doing a
good job of that. I guesssee what happens here from there here on

(47:58):
after the Cardinals. Yeah, JoshStabb's doing too good a job. Not
good enough to win game, likea lot of games, but good enough
to ruin your tank. You don'twant that, you know, you want
somebody who's incompetent or at least young, to maybe you think, maybe we
can build with this guy. JoshJabs unfortunately does not fit either category.
He's not going the Vikings. Theyprobably win them some more games and defeat

(48:22):
the whole tank of the Viking. So good for you, Joshabbs. You
know, you know you are talentedenough. I think you can be a
spot start in this league, andI think you're doing a good job.
But you know, it's not agood thing where honestly a fan base should
go when you sign Josh Dobbs ortrade for Josh Obbs, you go,

(48:42):
this is not a good This isnot a good sign. Like it just
isn't. Cardinals, good job embracingthe tank. You're gonna get killed,
you know, you got killed bythe Ravens a good amount. It really
wasn't an ass kicking though the waywe expected. There was a lot of
Tom foury as they'll put it inthis game, a lot of just just

(49:04):
look at the Ravens just weren't reallypouring and on and that's something that I've
I've seen with their offense for theyear, especially when it was the ball
control offense, and that's just partof just eating conk out. But man,
there are some of these Ravens gamesthat is just dull. It was
it's dull, like it's it's roughto watch and you're just like, I

(49:24):
guess they're gonna grape this out foranother, you know, fifty five minutes.
But it's just it's like a verydifferent style of football, and it's
it's something. So Ravens get towin in the desert. Good for them,
Cardinals, good job embracing the tank. You got to go all in

(49:45):
on that, you know, CalebWilliams, Barvin Harrison Junior one two pick.
You have to do everything you canto make it happen. That be
sweet, That would be pretty awesome. We'll move on to our last of
the four pm Eastern time Games East, the Cincinnati Bengals went thirty one to
seventeen. Yes, sir, Theforty nine Ers came in a little bit

(50:07):
banged up and on a losing skid, but they had one eleven straight at
home, so no excuse is there. The Bengals defense deserves a lot of
credit. They forced to rock partyinterceptions and you know, arguably they should
have won this game by more. But I think Bengals fans will take the
fact that most importantly to anything else. Joe Burrow looks like he's back.
He's evading pressure in the pocket. He had that one play where he got

(50:30):
out of the grasp of a tackleand then threw it downfield and converted at
first down. He's playing maybe twounscared for many people like maybe he needs
to slide a little bit more protectthe future investment, But generally feeling great
about the Bengals beating the forty nineers in San Francisco, no matter how
banged up they are, and alsofeeling great about Joe Burrow's health. Now,

(50:53):
yeah, for real, this gamewent way better than most Bengals fans
could have holped. You know,we hats off to both of us for
picking the money line Bengals straight upat our picks last week. I know
there was some talk about the concussionprotocol of Rock Party he did end up
playing, which honestly, I'm happybecause I think that makes us win even

(51:16):
that much more savory versus playing SamDarnold. But this was a game where
this is what the Bengals can bewhen everything's firing. They are a team
that can win a Super Bowl.Obviously, I know the forty nine ers
were not one hundred percent. Idon't know anybody in the NFL is one
hundred percent. Eight weeks in,I don't think we saw him at the

(51:36):
best. The forty nine ers didad Chase Young, So I mean that's
gonna be a huge addition for them, you know, in that playoff push.
But I mean, I'll give itto you. The Bengals offensive line
played decently well minus that kind offirst you know, driver so a where
they were getting a lot of pressureon them. But really, Joe Burrow
was not getting hit a bunch, and honestly he was making great plays.

(52:00):
And you know, it scares mewatching him do these QB draws. So
he literally did audible into a QBdraw for a kind of yards. You
know, he's hopping up, hittinghimself in the head like you know,
like we said he might be theCincinnati Maniac after this season. He keeps
doing stuff like this. But yeah, let's do a slide. Joe Burrow
isn't like some big guy, likehe's bigger than you think he is,

(52:23):
but you know, let's get someslides. I'm totally fine with him using
his mobility. It's a great signfor us who have been like, this
guy cannot move, and I thinkthat's a huge underrated part of his game
is that twitchiness he does have, and it was on full display in this
game. Jamar Chase was everywhere. And you know, I think the thing

(52:43):
that impressed me a lot about thisBengals team too is you know, I
think they they prove that they haveanswers getting can adjust throughout the game.
Of this I think the under centerplays really have helped the offense. Now.
I think it makes some last onedimensional. I think it helps the
running game a lot. But Imean they were basically playing zone the whole

(53:06):
game and they pretty much went that'sfine, and Joe Burrow just kept slicing
up that zone and then at theend, it finally went now we're going
to man zone's not working, andthen Joe Burrow and Jamar Chase made them
paid for with a dart to theend zone. So when Joe Burrow plays
like this and we're talking the guy, I think he had eighty nine percent
completion percentage in this game. That'sunreal. I think had nineteen straight completions.

(53:35):
For all those people out there weretalking about the completions of someone else
had a completion streak this weekend,I forget who it was. Where they
were talking about it like it waslike the greatest thing to ever happened.
Oh, it was Justin Herbert, that's right. They really went all on
about Justin Herbert's completion streak, whichwas like fifteen sixteen, but Joe Burrow
threw nineteen in a row, andit was like just assumed, so weird,

(54:01):
you know, weird stuff sometimes theNFL media, I'll call out,
But yeah, I mean, Joeburroh looked fantastic. I mean, the
Bengals defense looked really good. Youknow. Basically the only thing they didn't
have an answer for was the kindof the George Kittle over the middle of
the field, which I don't like. But I feel like the way Aramo

(54:22):
throws all this defense together is he'skind of okay, if that's the thing
that's gonna go through. I thinkhe's just kind of accepts that a little
bit. You know. That's thekind of defense he runs, is making
those big plays and then not youknow, giving up touchdowns from the red
zone. So this is kind ofthe intermediate. George Kittle had a hell

(54:43):
of a game because of it.But it seems like the Bengals were just
fine with Brock Purty checking it downGeorge Kittle in the middle of field for
ten yards and that was what thegame plan was for the forty nine ers,
that's fine. They weren't gonna lethim get these huge plays down the
field and score you know life, you know, changing plays and more importan,
they were't gonna let Christian McCaffrey blowup this game. So great game

(55:04):
of the for the for the Bengalshere forty nine ers definitely want this one
back. I think this was abig impetus along with the Seahawks trading for
the defense to tackle the Giants witha big impetus for them to get more
firepower because forty Niners team is ona three game losing streak right now,
they are on a skid. Theystill have a really good chance to be

(55:27):
in the Super Bowl this year, they really do. You know, the
Eagles have looked good at ties thatare great. Say anything with the Cowboys,
and you know they are banged up, so maybe you get this extra
pass rushers, just like they gotChristian McCaffrey last year. I think it's
more than worth, you know,a third round pick for this guy.
I would one hundred percent trade athird round pick for a half a season

(55:49):
to chase you if I thought thatwas a piece that would help me get
to the super Bowl, and Ithink one hundred percent it will. We'll
see what happens in the playoffs withthem. But forty Nineers team is still
good. But you know Rock Partymade some decisions in this He probably wasn't
one hundred percent. And this isa game the forty nine Ers went back.
And I'm just excited as a Bengalsfan because the first game this year

(56:10):
is a state in the game. You go into San Francisco, you go
in to Santa Clair, you geta good convincing win, and Joe Burrow
looks like he can be himself againand with that, going to do a
huge Sunny Nun matchup this week.Absolutely. Three quick points before we move
on one forty nine ers are threeand six when Trent Williams does not play

(56:34):
since he's been in San Francisco,So something to watch out for future picks
and future possibly playoff implications as he'saging. Something we've noted before with our
preseason picks that he was just supervital to this team. Number two not
happy with the Bengals not making amove with the deadline. A lot of
players could have been had for onthe cheap. I'm not saying we need
to go up a second round pickfor Chase Young, but backup running back

(56:55):
and a tight end could have beenhad for a late round picks. WOP
six seventh round pick. Would haveloved to see the Bengals go all in.
They had like ten million cap spaceright now for the rest of the
season, so if you have guyson expiring contracts, you can afford that
and a lot of capriom next year. I know there's players that need to
sign, but they could have triedto go a little bit more all in.
To get this Super Bowl if theyreally believe they're gonna get there,

(57:16):
and then number three just a littlebit of a victory lap here. And
I hate to do it because it'sat the expense of someone, but Nick
Scott is the eighty seventh rank safetyout of eighty seven on PFF. And
I'm not the person who's like PFFmeans everything, but Seecil we've noted he's
been not the greatest and all lastoffseason I got yelled at for taking Brian

(57:36):
Branch and a mock draft. Youknow, they didn't get Brian Branch.
They got Jordan Battle, who lookslike he's good and limited snaps and probably
gonna take that role. So youknow, even when you're right, you're
never gonna hear the apologies. Oh, Nick Scott's getting paid smarter money.
They're not gonna draft a safety.Well, they did draft a safety eventually,
and he's not playing that well. The free age if they signed is
not playing that well because he hasa history of being average at best at
safety. I'm done, eighty sevenout of eighty seven. What are you

(57:58):
gonna do? Crazy? Yeah, you know, it's it's bad when you
know and the broadcast are going. He's rotating with a rookie. So he's
rotating with Jordan Battle. That's nota good sign for somebody who just got
signed the money did to be astarner. That means they don't have faith
in you. And I mean,I'll say this too, I don't hate

(58:19):
Nick Scott, but he is frustratingas hell, and honestly, the man
just he's got blinders on. Hecan literally only do like one thing at
a time. And once he saidon what he's gonna do in a play,
no matter what it adjusts to,he is screwed and he will get
burned a thousand times if it dependson him. Because he guesses wrong almost
all the time. His instincts arebad. And yeah, it's just it's

(58:45):
not a good look. And hedoes worry me. He hasn't killed us
yet too much. I'm hoping, you know, Jordan Battle just continues to
get a little better. But Icould see, you know, Nick Scott's
not gonna be here long term,so yeah, hopefully he provides some depth
for Jordan Battle down the stretch.Jordan Battle steps in because Battle was the
number one coverage safety and college footballlast year, but played strong safety and

(59:07):
also shown he's good in the box, so he's more of the guy you
want to start getting reps too,I would think. But just yeah,
I'll take a quick victory lap sinceI'm never gonna get those apologies from all
the Bengals fans who called me idioteven though I was right. So yeah,
let's go with that. Yeah,it is very, very tough.
Let's move on those seas. We'lltake an easy one here. Sunday night

(59:28):
football, Chargers beat the Bears thirtyto thirteen. The Bears are a mess.
Tyson bagent second start. We knowsecond starts for first time quarterbacks are
usually worse than the first start. That definitely was true. Chargers played well.
You mentioned Justin Herbert's completion thing thereas well. But the Bears traded
for Montes Sweat, gave up,you know, a pretty good pick for

(59:50):
him, and at the end ofthe day, they're a team who's tanking,
so it made no sense unless theywere gonna sign him now extension and
usually that's done by the GM talkingto the agent and seeing if they interest.
But montes Wet said today, Idon't know if I want to sign
an extension yet. I'm going tosee how things play out. So Ryan
Poles, the GM or the Bearshave to start questioning his moves. I
mean, the Chase Claypool, themoving down from one to nine. You

(01:00:14):
know, maybe not in the senseof like, hey, we're gonna give
Justin Fields another year. That's fineif you want to do that, but
you know, in getting Dj Moore'sfine, but you know, you could
have maybe moved down a couple spotslighter, or taken Jail and Carter with
pick number nine two. But it'sit's seemingly gonna be a mess here for
the Bears. Yeah, it's anabsolute mess over there. Yeah, I

(01:00:37):
mean I get it. Like, you know, let's think outside the box
a little bit. You know,Montes what's a good player, but he's
a free agent, and you know, if he leaves, he just wasted
a draft pick. All the guyyou could have probably be a start four
years just as gone just disappeared intothe win. And you're not a good
team either. So we're talking like, you know, a top forty pick,

(01:01:00):
and there are plenty of guys weknow that that don't get drafted the
first round that you know, Daytwo starts when We do the draft every
year and there's like a handful ofguys we already go, I really hope
that they draft this guy or they'regetting an absolute steal in this guy.
Those guys are at the beginning ofthe second round every year, and that's

(01:01:21):
the Bears basically a more huge awayin this If they get Montest Sweat.
You know, they signed on along term deal. Fine, I think
Montest Sweat has a good chance toequal whatever the potential that second round pick
is, especially when it comes toedge rushers because they aren't really making it
to the beginning of the second asmuch anymore, and those guys take a
while to get started. So that'sfine, but if he leaves, you

(01:01:44):
look dumb. You know. I'mone of those guys where it's like you
got to have that extension kind ofin place when you do it. If
you don't, it's too big arisk, you go. You know,
that's that's just not it. Idon't know who else was really trying that
hard to get Montest Sweat anyway,Chase Round Chase Young went for a third
rounder. I think Jase Young isbetter, to be honest, but that's

(01:02:07):
just me. There's a lot tokind of be said about that Chargers have
a good game. Austin Eckler great, I mean, just dominates when he
gets to the ball out of thebackfield. Bears had no answer for it,
and it was a big reason forJustin and Herbert's completions. Big thing
I'm gonna say about this, thisis more of a rat to bear with

(01:02:29):
me. A lot of Chargers gameson my television. Not that I mind
it. I do enjoy watching theChargers, and I like watching like Justin
Herbert and that offense, but likethis weird like obsession with Justin Herbert by
the national media is at times alittle annoying, and especially like it'd be

(01:02:50):
one thing if he's won something, but they haven't won anything yet, and
it's it's getting frustrated to the pointwhere these guys just are shocking all of
this guy. And I think he'sa good quarterback and I think he has
a chance to be great in thisleague. But until they actually win something,
I'm sick of everyone talking about himlike he is elite, like just
I think Justin Herbert has elite talent, but he is not an elite quarterback,

(01:03:15):
and I think that difference needs tobe shown. And you know,
as a as a Bengals saying withJoe Burrow, who gets you know,
talked about times he gets us doit at some points, but there's other
points in games where you're just sittingthere and you're just watching, Like Deshaun
Watson's another one, justin Herbert, where like it's just like it's NFL like

(01:03:35):
idea that they got to build upthe brand of every quarterback of every team
because like that's their you know,I get it's a marketing thing, sure,
but these guys aren't Peyton Manning, they're not Tom Brady, and like
you act like they are just fantasticin every way, and like throwing the
ball downfield and throwing a pretty balldoesn't mean anything if you're barely making the

(01:03:57):
playoffs. You're losing a game youshouldn't have also playoffs and got embarrassed,
and you got a head coach who'sbad at making game time in game decisions.
So that's my rant on the Chargers. They're gonna keep Charger in,
it seems, and you know, justin Herbert, I don't know if he's
gonna be one of those guys likeit almost feels like there's a chance he

(01:04:19):
can kind of he might John Elwaythis for a long time or something where
it's just basically like there's this like, oh, John Welway is awesome or
legend of John Elway. But it'slike for years John Elway just got like
destroyed in Super Bowls and people werelike he was talented, but they didn't
win anything. So it looks it'sit's reminded me it's not even Philip Rivers

(01:04:44):
because both Rivers won playoff games.Bill Rivers was in the thick of it,
especially earlier on in their career. The Chargers teams did win games,
they just couldn't get it to theSuper Bowl. Justin Herbert's team has literally
done nothing yet they they want tocrown these guys as like one of the
elite teams the AFC, and basicallythey're just being like, oh, if
the Chiefs weren't there, the Chargerswill basically be amazing. It's like they

(01:05:06):
haven't played the Chiefs in the playoffsyet, So what is the reason they
haven't made it to an AFC division? Why? Why are they getting bounced
out of the wildcard? Why isthat their only playoff appearance so maybe that
will change this year, but itdoesn't look like because the records not been
that great, they're still on theoutside looking in. You know, that

(01:05:28):
can change quickly. But that's myChargers rant. They get a good win.
They beat the heck out of theBears, who you know, we
kind of Tyson Baje, you kindof came back to earth and you know,
the offense just did not look verygood at all. So Chargers get
an easy win and that's Sunday nightfor you. Yeah, that was not
a game worth watching. Like youmentioned, I'm with you. Justin Herbert

(01:05:53):
very good pick when they picked him, very good player right now, But
sometimes it does seem a little bitoverhyped for the situation in the Chargers.
I feel like it's just like oneof those things where they have players who
are very good at their jobs, very good at their positions, like Justin
Herbert at quarterback, Austin Ecklert runningback, he and now at a wide
receiver, but like as a team, it doesn't fully come together. And

(01:06:14):
a lot of that is they're notgood in the trenches too, so an
important factor that maybe the media doesn'ttalk about quite enough. So let's move
on to Monday Night football season. The Lions beat the Raiders twenty six to
fourteen. Don't have too much totalk about in terms of the Lions other
than Jamiir Gibbs breakout game one hundredand fifty two yards, one touchdown.
Again, We've been saying it.We've been saying it for weeks. Jamir

(01:06:36):
Gibbs is great. Give them theball in the draft. We said it
tons of times. Take him early. He's a dynamic, game changing running
back. So there we are. That's another victory lap for us tonight sees.
But for the Raiders a lot totalk about the last two years.
They didn't have enough money to fireJosh McDaniels. Well, they fired the
GM and Josh McDaniels. There wasan erroneous story going out, a just

(01:07:00):
fix this story going out about JoshMcDaniels dressing up as Mark Davis were Halloween
and the whole you know, heordered a PF. Chang's thing, and
then they fired him because he wasn'tenthusiastic enough about the costume. But that
was fake, Although the crazy partis it actually got a decent amount of
people in the league. According toAlbert Brier, an insider to believe it,

(01:07:23):
because that's how bad the Raiders aremismanaged. The good news is Josh
McDaniels is out for anyone who maybemanages a team in fantasy that has Devontae
Adams. Also, as a resultof this game, Aidan O'Connell is now
the starting quarterback and a lot ofpeople around the league are saying, yeah,
it's because he's their best quarterback. So wow, we have got a
lot of coming out of this game, and although the Lions are six and

(01:07:45):
two, a lot of it's comingfrom the Raiders after all these changes.
Yeah, Lion's still a good team. Would have like to see them kind
of, you know, not keepselling for field goals in the first half,
but they turned it on the secondhalf. So that's what matters.
Their offense is great, it reallyis. It's just Sjared Goff just makes
some weird decisions sometimes. And thenmatc Crosby is great for the Raiders defense.

(01:08:09):
So you know, the Raiders haveprobably two great players, Devanta Adams
and Max Frosby. And after that, I mean, Josh Jacobs is fine,
Jakobe Myers is okay. You know, there's really just not that much
else there, to be honest withyou, but yeah, I'm so glad

(01:08:29):
the Raiders finally just went. Thisteam sucks and not in the way of
like, oh, there's just notalent. It's in the way that literally
they don't get the ball to thebest player on offense, like DeVonta Adams
gets one catcher eleven yards. That'sdisgraceful. Why is And literally there were
some balls that him and Jimmy Garopbolodi can connect on, and that's an
issue in itself. But you knowthat stuff happens at least, you know,

(01:08:51):
you throw the ball downfield, butlove of God, like, why
is the only route that you canget trying to get DeVante Adams the ball
to is where it's a zero, you know, a cover zero, all
out blitz and you just don't evenput a good touch on the ball.
Why is that? Like? Whatis that offense? Other than that,
it was you know, them tryingto throw the ball to Josh Jacobs in

(01:09:13):
the backfield was not a great passcatching back by the way, drops a
lot of passes in the backfield I'venoticed. Other than that, I mean
it was Hunter Renfro was getting mostof the targets in this game as a
wide receiver, and like, there'snothing wrong with Hunter Renfro, but you
have Devonte Adams, like Jim Garoppololooked like a shell of himself. An

(01:09:35):
O'Connell should be the starting quarterback, which I'll be sad to see him go
as one of my favorite backups sofar. You know, having an O'Connell
graduate, it's a sad day forus in the backup quarterback world. But
you know, Brian Hoyer is stillthere hanging out, you know, And
really, I'm gonna attribute a lotof success to Brian Hoyer, true professional,

(01:09:59):
So hats off to him. JimmyG's gotta go. Josh McDaniels been
a laughingstock and honest god of us. DeVante Adams. I would have just
forced myself out of this at thispoint. I would have just literally gone
to the GM on Monday night andjust literally gone trade me. I'm not
coming back. I'm not playing foryou the rest of the year. I

(01:10:19):
don't care, honestly. You know, I came here to play with you
know, Derek Carr, who ismy friend and we played together in college,
and that's why I came here. That's why I signed the deal here,
you have now done everything to makesure that didn't happen, and not

(01:10:40):
even that I'm just not even gettingthe ball. I might as well just
I'm a twenty five million year decoyto just run a go route and have
somebody run with me like I'm runningfor the love of the game routes all
game long. I'm barely getting theball. And even when Jimmy Garoppolo does
launch a downfield by way, it'sso wobbly and out of balance. It's

(01:11:00):
just it's embarrassing. So yeah,if I'm Devonte Adams, like at least
O'Connell will try, like we havea chance for him to try to get
the ball, And I like whatI've seen out am O'Connell in limited fashion.
So this is the right move forthe Raiders, you know, it's
the right move to get rid ofJosh McDaniels. I think that's when we

(01:11:24):
see him back on the Patriots. Will he appear this Sunday magically back with
the Patriots. Will there'll be alike there can only be one Bill O'Brien
first, Josh McDaniels kind of fightlike a duel. I mean, it's
kind of like a ride of passagefor Bill Belichick assistance. I feel like

(01:11:45):
it's like everyone's just fighting, youknow, for favor. So he'll he'll
come skulking back. Maybe he'll belike offensive, uh, you know,
control like offenses, you know, whatever they want to call. He'll find
some crazy job work for the Patriots. Again, all will be forgiven,
just like it always is with Bill, and he will go back to being

(01:12:09):
a pian. Rip Josh McDaniels,I thought, you know, I heard
the story that he dressed up asAl Davis, which would have been even
worse, and I just sat there, I'm like, what is going on
in this place? But yeah,he said this is a horrible'ron organization.
I know, hats off to Mark. Maybe had a crazy night at

(01:12:30):
the casino, and you know,he just was like, I got a
fire, Josh, one way oranother. I'm either gonna lose the franchise
at the table tonight, are gonnamake enough back to fucking fire this guy.
So maybe that's what happened. Maybethat's the untold story. And you
know what, it's the franchise,Like you said, it's dysfunctual enough to
believe it. So that's the storyI'm going with. Please do not report

(01:12:56):
that somewhere if someone's listening to this, it is not a real take,
but thank you. Well, Uh, maybe Devanta Adams and Max Crosby said,
hey, we'll stay, We'll stayin Vegas, we'll stay playing for
the Raiders. We like the Raiders. But you got to fire the coach.
Uh, And they did after thetrade deadline. They fired him at
one am on Halloween. Well Halloweenhad just passed, but like the night

(01:13:18):
of Halloween basically, I guess inLas Vegas it was like eleven pm on
Halloween night. Just great timing onlythe Raiders. It's it's just perfect.
So, uh, we'll see howthey go moving forward. I actually think
DeVante Adams goes back to being somewhatfine. I think he's one of these
guys who's a little bit quarterback proofas far as the wide receivers. Even
with AOC as they're calling him startingat quarterback, I think it'll be just

(01:13:41):
fine. All right, let's thinkswas at the facility when he got fired
or was it like a phone callor like think like did Mark Davis like
fire him over text? And youknow Joshua wasn't up and he woke up
to it the next morning, likeI think at least went to the office
got fired. What if what ifhe told him, like, hey,

(01:14:04):
come back to the office after thekids go trick or treating, and so
he took the kids crack or treatingand ahead and come back to the office
and get fired. I heard that. I forget where I heard that somewhere
else, but I'd be like, that would be great for Mark Davis to
too. Maybe it was like maybethey were trying to like really channel a

(01:14:24):
younger generation and he broke He kindof broke up with them via snapchat DM.
Who knows. Wow, only theRaiders, Only the Raiders. Man.
All right, well, let's uh, let's move on to two week
nine. Ce's we have some picksto get into here. We're gonna start
it off Thursday night Football. Wehave the Tennessee Titans and Will Levis going

(01:14:45):
up against the Pittsburgh Steelers. TheSteelers are favored by two and a half
points, right now, give meSteelers to win and cover. You know,
I think Will Levis had a bettertime against the Falcons team that kind
of just under estimated him. Ithink the Steeers now have a little tape
they saw what happened. I thinkthe big part of will Levis was remember

(01:15:06):
DeAndre Hopkins is on the team, which everyone else seemed to have forgotten,
including myself. But I think Steelersaren't gonna sleep on him. But you
sawid. There's tape. Now.I think they're ready to go. And
it's a Steelers defense and they makepeople's lives nightmares, and they play physical,
and I don't know Will Levis isready for that. There's a lot

(01:15:29):
of different coverage things. I thinkif Fitzpatrick gets an interception or two in
this game, and uh yeah,it's not a great matchup for your second
start. So not that I believein the Steelers offense very much, but
I just I think this could bea game where you know we sold high
and Will Levis where you know we'rebuying in, and this could be a

(01:15:50):
game where he just gets absolutely torched. It will be close because the offense
is bad with the Steelers, butI don't expect Will Levis to have anywhere
near the game last I don't either. This pass rush is real for the
Steelers. It's one of the thingsyou can say like, it's very very
good. You mentioned the offense hassome issues and Kenny Pickett might be here,

(01:16:12):
you know, hurt in this game, might play, might not.
I I'm gonna take the Steelers still. I think you know Cam Hayward.
Cam Hayward just got activated off ofIR. I don't know if we'll play
in this game, either, butI think that pass rush does wonders for
them, and the defense holds solid, they get the win at home.
Just one of those games if theSteelers always finished with above five hundred record,

(01:16:33):
it's one you gotta win. Allright. We'll move it on into
the Germany game on Sunday morning, nine thirty. Everyone's gonna wake up for
this one. This is probably thebest international game I can remember that wasn't
played in Mexico, like that one. What Chiefs Rams game a couple of
years ago. It's the Dolphins atthe Chiefs. The Chiefs are favored by
one point. Right now, thisgame again in Germany, we have Patrick

(01:16:56):
Mahomes possibly with the flu. Whatdo you think it, Cees, I
am gonna go. I'm gonna go. I don't know anything about the weather
in Germany this time of year, assuming it's gonna be decent out So I'm
gonna go Dolphins to win in thisone. I'm just picking them straight up.

(01:17:19):
The reasons why is. I thinkthe Dolphins want to put on a
good show. I think Pat Mahomesis and I think Pat Malmes offense,
like Pat Malmins is, gonna bemuch better in this game obviously, but
I think there's a lot of stuffgoing on with their offense. It's like
not very functional, and I thinkthe Dolphins have multiple ways they can beat

(01:17:42):
you in the ground game, inthe passing attack, like they just have
a lot of different options. Ithink the Dolphins will find a way to
limit Travis Kelcey and force Pat Malmsto do other stuff that is not as
effective. So I think it's gonnabe an awesome game. But you know,
I like the Dolphins. They gottalike what the Dolphins have been on
a great positive track. I thinkthey've got, you know, a plothora

(01:18:04):
of weapons and they utilize all ofthem. And I think it's hard.
Even though this Chiefs defense is muchbetter than it's been, I think you
know, very ones to step upand pull it through in the end.
But yes, for the people ofGermany, you got one hell of a
game, because this is one ofthe probably the wanna be one of the
best regular season games of this year. I'm just hoping the jet lag stuff

(01:18:26):
like that doesn't affect them. Iwant to I hope it's an excellent game.
Uh yeah, I'm with you,Ceees. I have a niece's baptism
to go to Sunday morning ceremony start. Ceremony starts at eight. Uh,
so we're gonna hope we're done bythe time this game starts so I can
be, you know, watching onmy phone during the post baptism activities.

(01:18:49):
Interesting note here for you, buddy, they don't have a weather thing on
ESPN for the stadium. I thinkit's open, you know, open and
you know, to let the weatherend so that I don't we don't know
what the is gonna be like atall. So ESPN's letting us down again
with this. Say what you willto them. You know, obviously we're
very specifically hurt by the Indianapolis Coltsand whether the roof is open and that
the whole dome is open whatever. But I'm with you, one of the

(01:19:12):
best games of the season. I'mgoing Dolphins as well out right, you
know, big to Anne guy numberone, Number two, Patrick Mahomes has
the flu. They're also getting toGermany on Friday. They only have one
practice in Germany before the game.Just doesn't feel like that's the greatest situation.
I think, you know, thestats might pack it up where the
teams that get there earlier usually cancan adjust better and play better. And

(01:19:34):
I also think we're on the vergeof having a lot of people call the
Dolphins frauds like you called the Billsfor frauds a couple of weeks ago,
because they haven't beat anyone good thisyear. They've lost to you know,
a lot of the good teams they'veplayed, and they've won against some bad
teams. But I think that motivatesthem. I think they're ready to go
and beat the Chiefs. We knowthat it's a Tyree Killer revenge game,

(01:19:55):
even though he wanted to stay withthe Chiefs, you know, you know,
with everything else, but I'm goingDolphins. I think it's it's too
good to be true here. We'regonna go Dolphins to win. The line
keeps them even closer. It wastwo and a half earlier in the week.
Now it's down to one, Sowe're going Dolphins too. Sunday afternoon,
we have the Minnesota Vikings with JarenHall likely as the starting quarterback against
the Atlanta Falcons with Taylor Heineke asthe starting quarterback. Atlanta Falcons favored by

(01:20:19):
four and a half seas. Giveme the Falcons to win. I guess
I don't know this is all.This is such a I don't bet game
Falcons to win. You know what, Falcons the cover too. I'm not

(01:20:42):
super confident in it. The onlyreasoning is because Tyler Heinekey has put up
some decent NFL games. Jared Hallis a complete unknown at this point.
They're gonna have to play a lotof creed in that locker room for me
gain some confidence. But yeah, there's just a lot of too many unknowns
with him. I gotta take thequarterback I've seen and has shown the ability
to drive the ball downfield and somekey times get wins. So give me

(01:21:05):
Tara Heiniky. I was thinking thesame thing, Falcons to win and cover.
You know, this Vikings team isnot the team that they have been.
I mean, even though for thelast couple of years there's no Kirk
Cousins there's no Dalvin Cook, there'sno Justin Jefferson, there's no Adam Thielen.
Uh, It's gonna be kind ofrough there. So I'm gonna go
Falcons because they are a solid teamthis year, and I'm not sure that

(01:21:29):
moving to Taylor Heineke isn't gonna bean upgrade ever desmenent Ritterer. So I'm
gonna go Falcons to win and coverChicago Bears at the New Orleans Saints.
These Saints are favored by eight anda half right now, sees it's depicta
ball. Give me a Saints towin in the Superdome. I'm gonna pick

(01:21:51):
the Bears for points. Eight anda halfs a lot. I think tyre
Bag Maigen or Justin Field plays.I think they'll play it close enough.
I think they'll play within the tounchdown. That's more of a hunch. I
know the Bears kind of got embarrassedlast week, but I just think that
that won't happen two times in arow. I think they have enough of

(01:22:14):
the semblance of a game plan, and they have DJ Moore, and I
just I don't know why. Ikind of like this Bears team with whoever's
starting. I just think they canhave a chance to be a decent team.
They have talent on the team.So give me the Bears with the
points, Saints to win and cover. For me. Beigent did not look

(01:22:39):
good against the Chargers. The Saintsdefense, I think is better. Pretty
hostile environment to to to play inif you're Beijing as well. I think
the Saints are turning things around. They're starting to plash the ball down in
field more so I'll trust that fornow and take them to win and cover
this game. Next one up,we have the Seahawks and Ravens. The

(01:23:00):
Ravens are hosting this one and theyare favored by five and a half or
six excuse me six now, Seahawksat Ravens Ravens minus five and a half,
right, six, six six,Give me the Ravens. Give me

(01:23:21):
the Ravens to win. But I'lltake the Seahawks with the points. I
think it will be a close game. I think the Seahawks just kind of,
you know, try to trade andadd on to this team. I
think they're a team that might begood enough at limiting the run against the
Ravens. And I think the Seahawkshave enough weapons to make the Ravens defense

(01:23:44):
gotta get spread out at times. So it's it's an interesting dynamic as two
teams are really you know, liketo really run the ball and kind of
control the possession, but they havea lot of outside weapons as well,
so I think it'll be a closergame. So I think the Ravens still
went it at home obviously, butI think it'll be closer than you know,

(01:24:06):
a touchdown. I'm going Ravens towin and cover. I didn't think
i'd take this many favorites this week, especially with how the way the season's
gone. But Seahawks avan to travela lot this year. I know they've
done great in the Eastern time zonehistorically over the last couple of years.
But I do think the Ravens arestarting to hit their stride, like they
they definitely won that game against theCardinals, and then the Cardinals just had

(01:24:28):
so many bs garbage time points thatlet them back into it. I'm gonna
trust the Ravens to win and cover. We'll see what happens with this one.
We'll see if how much Leonard Williamssuits up or makes an impact,
or whether they kind of keep themkeep them suited on the sideline for a
week or two before he starts reallymaking an impact. Next game up,
we have the Arizona Cardinals at theCleveland Browns. Cleveland Browns favor by eight

(01:24:49):
points. I'm gonna go with giveme the give me Clinton Browns to win
it. It's really a question ofdo I think the Cleveland Browns offense will
like score points. Clayton Dunes probablystarting, you know, give me the

(01:25:15):
I give me the Browns a winningcover. I again, I don't like
that spread at all. It's justtoo it's just too too many unknowns right
now, because it's gonna be youknow, it could be the Browns just
straight up from all the Cardinals andthey win by fourteen points because it's just
an absolute beat down on the defensiveside of the ball. Or you know,

(01:25:39):
it could be something where you know, the defense stops him a bunch
and it's a lot of three andouts with the offense barely kick doesn't even
get the ball field goal rage morethan once or twice. I mean,
this is that kind of game.I'm sensing a real maybe a nice under
in this one. Thirty seven anda half could be the under. I'm
gonna I'm gonna the Browns win,but the Cardinals with the points. Reason

(01:26:03):
being, I know the Browns justtraded to for Ezra Cleveland and everything to
sure up the offensive line, butI think this quarterback play has been bad,
negative EPBA per play. Like youmentioned earlier, Cardinals are feisty.
You know. I do think JoshDobbs was a good quarterback, but I
think, you know, seeing ClaytonTune in his first game could be good

(01:26:25):
too. I just don't trust theBrowns to cover and more than a touchdown
spread against many teams, if anyteam in the league, we're talking about
this with the Cardinals, I'll takethe points. If the Browns win by
more than that, that's I mean, that's okay. It's just I think
it's just tough to pick a teamlike that. Next one up, we
have the Tampa Bay Buccaneers at theHouston Texans. This line has changed a

(01:26:45):
little bit. It is now Texansfavored by three points. Give me,
I'm gonna pick. I'm gonna pickTampa Bay. I think you know there,
they're tough enough on defense, andI think Baker Mayfield will be a

(01:27:06):
little healthier in this game, andI think they're getting God would involve more,
which is huge, and I think, you know, obviously Mike Evans
is gonna have more yards. SoI just I'm gonna pick a more experienced
veteran over C. J. Stroudin this one. Again, it's it's
gonna be a close game. Asthe points indicate, you know, your

(01:27:27):
three point favorites at home. That'skind of like the standard you know line
basically two to three points. Soit's it's gonna be a close game.
I just I like the veteran.I like Baker Mayfield the Buccaneers a little
better, so give me them towin out right. I want Texans to
win and cover. I think theBucks are kind of losing some steam here,
and the Texans have been a betterteam at home two and one at

(01:27:49):
home this year. I think Jamaka Ryan's canna make things tough for this
Buccaneers offense. So I'll take theTexans as the home team to win and
cover. Next one up, wehave the Washington Commanders, who traded so
many defensive linemen away at the NewEngland Patriots. Now this line has changed
a little bit since the opening startof the week. It is now Patriots.
Everybody three and a half? Hm, hm, that's where Who's uh,

(01:28:14):
who's home? Where's it at?Where's it being played at this year?
Patriots and Fox Brough And I mean, I guess it's like, do
I trust the Patriots at all?Like the Patriots are our favorite game is
questionable no matter who they're playing. It feels like, uh, you know,

(01:28:42):
I uh, you know, what'screwit. I'm picking the Commanders another
like crappy game that you know. It's just like I like what I've seen
from Sam Howse so far. Ithink that you know, obviously they marched
away half of d line, butthe reality is, I think Sam Howe
will still go out there and compete. I think the Patriots offense is without

(01:29:05):
especially without Kendrick Bourne too. Imean, it's just not really many good
guys on there. So it's gonnabe a close game, you know.
I just I trust Commanders just alittle more than I do the Patriots.
Yeah. I mean, I pickson the GameHouse dot Com earlier this week
before the trade deadline that I pickedthe Commanders. Feel a little bit less

(01:29:28):
secure about that, but I'll stickwith the Commander's out right. I feel
like they still got some good guyson the defensive line like you mentioned,
and Sam how is playing pretty goodfootball. And the Patriots are that bad
and Kendrick Bourne is out for theseason. It just it just keeps on
getting worse for them. I'll goCommanders to get the upset win. On
the route, the Los Angeles Ramsare traveling to take on the Green Bay

(01:29:49):
Packers. The Green Bay Packers arefavored about three points. Matt Stafford has
that thumb injury, he is notofficially ruled out yet, and it's in
Green Bay. Okay, Brett Rippiansthe backup. I will pick Green Bay

(01:30:15):
at home because it's a tough placeto play. I think the weather is
starting to turn, but I'm gonnaI'm just head my bet. But the
Rams with the points, I justI you know, Matt Stafford, I
don't think ret Rippians really that bad. I think he can Spots start,
maybe get a win. I justI really don't trust either team right now.

(01:30:41):
With the injury to Matt Stafford. Then Jordan Love is just not been
doing it this year. So giveme the Packers and the close one,
just solely because they're at home.I'm going to Rams upset pick here,
take them with the points as well. I think Stafford's crazy enough you might
try to play through this injury.May not be Prett, but he did
play in the second half after heinjured it for one drive, so we'll

(01:31:03):
see. Apparently he injured it onthe Philly special play that they ran and
where he tried to catch the ball, but I'm sure it was him.
It started where his hand hit thehelmet, so he still played. I
think he can come back in thisgame and be okay, even if they
have Brett Rippens starting. He's gotsome experience at the very least. And
the Packers are just a mess tome. So until they prove that they

(01:31:24):
can can win a game, Idon't know if I could pick them.
I'm gonna take the Rams to winand take the points there. Move on
to the Sunday evening games. Wehave the Indianapolis Colts at the Carolina Panthers
Frank Reich revenge game here, Coltsfavored by two and a half on the
road. Give me the Colts becausethey've done two things. They put up

(01:31:48):
points. That's honestly the reason I'mpicking the Colts, because they've demonstrated they
can put up points. I knowthe Panthers defense is good is good,
but it seems like Colts that doesn'tmatter year, Like they're just gonna score
points. It's not gonna be pretty. And I think I think the Colts
defense gets a little more on trackin this game against the Panthers. So

(01:32:09):
give me the cold still winning cover. I have the same thing. I
think their defense will will start tobounce back a little bit more. Uh.
They still have those that double headedmonster in the backfield between Zach Moss
and Jonathan Taylor that they're splitting carriesbetween, and honestly it's because both of
them are playing well. I thinkthey can get the job done on the
road. Panthers, they get thatwin, they get the monkey off their

(01:32:30):
back, but they've obviously celebrated thatwin maybe a little bit too much,
and now they got to refocus andtry to be a tough team in the
goals. One of the games we'reall looking forward to here sees the Cowboys
at the Eagles. The Eagles forevery by three at home. Give me
the Eagles to winn and cover athome. I think, you know they
are a team that is getting better, and I know obviously that that game

(01:32:58):
that's less and stiller against the Commandersthis week, but it seems to be
there that's their achilles heel as theWashington Commanders. I think Cowboys are kind
of coming off a big win,and I don't know if that's necessarily the
best thing for them, because I'ma feeling, you know, they can
kind of get a little too involvedin that, which worries me. So

(01:33:20):
it's a big matchup. I gotto go right now. You know,
I'm saying the Eagles have been thebetter team, you know, over the
last two years in these matchups.Seeing those matchups last year in the rare
season were both weird because neither onehad each starting quarterback in them. So
it'll be a great matchup. I'mexcited for it. I think the Eagles

(01:33:41):
winn and cover at home, goingCowboys to win outright in with the points
here, I think we're kind oflooking at the Eagles with too many roasted
to glasses, and I'd me includedfor a lot of the weeks, but
they're having a tough time covering games. They haven't had the toughest schedule so
far. Patriots, Vikings, Buccaneers, Commanders, Rams, Jets, Dolphins,

(01:34:05):
who they did beat was a goodteam. And then the Commanders again,
to me, that's not the toughestschedule. They this is the start
of their very tough portion of theschedule, which I believe is the toughest
schedule any team will face over asix week stretch. But I do think
the Cowboys coming off that bile looka little bit different. Jalen Hurts is

(01:34:25):
banged up. He's turning the ballover too much. People aren't talking about
it as much as they would ifany other quarterback in the league was doing
this, like Dak Prescott gets allthe hate when he does it, but
Jalen Hurts then interceptions people aren't talkingabout as much. So I've going Cowboys
to win with the points looker freshafter that buy. I'll take my chances.
Here could be one where the Eagleswin, and maybe the Cowboys get

(01:34:46):
the next one as they start this. As I said, Eagles, very
tough, tough couple weeks coming up. The last four PM game cease is
the New York Giants at the LasVegas Raiders. Raiders favored by two points.
Uh give me their you know what, screw it, I'm gonna pick

(01:35:08):
the rookie quarterback. You know, they made a change. I think the
Raiders will be better off for it. Give me the Raiders to winn and
cover at home. Yeah, I'mgoing Raiders too. Uh. I think
AOC has a big game and uh, Devonte gets more involved. They stopped
during the balls could be myers somuch. We saw, you know,

(01:35:30):
even Jeff Saturday when he was theinterim coach last year for the Colts,
that maybe some fire, some changeof scenery helps the players out. I
think this will in this case, and to make things better. The Giants
just traded away Leonard Williams like they'rewhat's their team's mentality? Like, Oh,
we're definitely not playing to win anythingthis year. So let's go.
Let's get Raiders in the game thatpeople will probably either watch just for giggles

(01:35:51):
or not watch at all. AllRight, Sunday Night football seas the Bengals
and the Bills. The Bengals arehosting this one. Josh Allen did not
practice today with the shoulder injury. It seems like they think he's gonna play
though. This is gonna be maybean emotional game after the DeMar Hamlin stuff
happened, last year and then thisyear also hosting the Bills in a primetime

(01:36:13):
game. I'm sure they're gonna dosome some nice stuff for DeMar Hamlin,
although he was on the injury reporttoo with an illness. It's just gonna
be maybe a little bit of adifferent game or an emotional rule game at
least to start. Yeah, Sotwo big things that are I'm gonna pick
the Bengals to wing cover here.Josh Allen is gonna play. I mean,
I have no doubt in my mind, this being such a big game.

(01:36:35):
It's a rematch, you know,under the lights. I don't think
Josh Allen can miss this game unlessliterally he did not move his ar.
That being said, though, JoshAllen being hurt and he's made some questionable
throws and I think he's having somelimitations with his shoulder, which honestly,
a lot of his game is basedon him being just having more talent than

(01:36:59):
everyone necessarily as much about the processingand decision making, which you know,
again, some guys can last alot longer in the league, you know,
over twenty years, because you know, it's more about what's you know
in between the ears and you know, making the right decisions, not throwing
the picks that you don't need tothrow, and keep yourself alive in a
game sometimes when it's not there.I think Josh Allen will have limitations.

(01:37:23):
I think that will lead to someproblems where Josh Allen is gonna have a
takeaway or maybe two and he's gonnawant to have back because this Bengals defense
will make you pay for that.Other big thing is that these teams aren't
really that different than the ones thatplayed each other a year ago and from
the very short amount of time theyplayed in the NAY before Dabar Hamlin when

(01:37:45):
did cardiac arrest, and then theplayoff game in Buffalo. The Bengals were
in control in those games both times, and pretty pretty easily too. I
think the Bills still can't stop therun, and I think the Bengals going
into the eye formation it's going tobe something that is going to be huge
and something of the Bills won't havean answer for yet. I think,

(01:38:06):
you know, Joe Burrow at thestadium is going to be unreal, and
I think Joe Burrow and the Bengalsafter that big forty nine win, want
to go in at their stadium youknow, beat one of the better teams
in the AFC and just really announceagain that you know, we're contenders and
we're not just here to try tomake the playoffs. We're here try to
win the whole damn thing. SoI think the Bengals winning cover. Yeah,

(01:38:29):
with the way the Bills are strugglingright now, and then the injuries
they have and Josh Allen being bangedup, I'm taking the Bengals because the
Bengals seem like they're getting better.Joe Burrow is getting healthier, being able
to get around the pocket. You'reright, the home field advantage will be
crazy, The emotions will maybe betough to start, maybe a first quarter,
the bow teams start slow, ButI think the Bengals can can catch
up and end up winning and coveringthis game and setting themselves up for a

(01:38:53):
good run in the next couple ofweeks. Monday Night Football cease. This
is another Monday Night that just, you know, great, great matchup.
We have the Los Angeles Chargers atthe New York Jets. Chargers for everyboy
three on the road. Chargers towin and cover again. The Jets offense
is questionable. If best they continueto go with Zach Wilson. Risol might

(01:39:17):
have a good game of the Jets. Other than that, there's just too
many offensive weapons on the Chargers forthis to be something. They lose this
game, that's all on the Chargers, Charger and I can't bet on that.
So I'm gonna go with the teamthat's much more talented and has the
ability to score points even against areally good defense. So Chargers to win

(01:39:38):
and cover. Yeah, that thatJets three game win streak is coming to
an end, Just don't don't seethat being able to hold up as soon
as they keep on playing more goodteams, you know, just a matter
of time before another team gets them. I do think, you know,
the quarterback play will be a littlebit of a difference here, and that'll
be the game changer. I thinkthe Chargers are able to win by a

(01:39:59):
touchdow on the road. All right, those were our picks for the week.
Cecil any final thoughts, No,I mean, I'm excited about the
Sunday night game. I will besomewhere in the middle of the Golf of
Mexico at that point, and Ifigured it out. I will be able
to view the game on the cruise, So congrats to me there you go.
Not a better place to watch aMaguals game other than maybe in the

(01:40:20):
stadium, than the golf the middleof the golf of Mexico. A lot
of fun, a matter of fine, I thought. It's just a reminder
