About Howard Behar
Howard Behar served as President of Starbucks North America for 21 years and became the founding President of Starbucks International, opening the first store outside North America in Japan. During his tenure, Starbucks grew from 28 stores to over 15,000 across five continents. He later served on the Starbucks Board of Directors for twelve years.
Howard is the author of It's Not About the Coffee: Lessons on Leadership from a Life at Starbucks and a global speaker on servant leadership. Today, he mentors entrepreneurs and leaders, serves on multiple nonprofit and educational boards, and continues to inspire with his philosophy that "the person who sweeps the floor should choose the broom."
