In this episode, #51, Andy talks with his friend Josh Ross of Sycamore View Church in Memphis. Andy and Josh went to church together for many years and Josh embraces questions about winter faith and scarred faith. He has three books for sale including Scarred Faith and Reentry. Both of these books are talked about in this podcast. Josh has a scarred faith in due to the death of his sister in 2010.
In teaching his family and church family about his scars in faith Josh is able to connect deeply with many who seek out God despite pain and suffering and scars.. He preaches with passion and joy and is also willing to talk about difficult topics from the pulpit like the #metoo, immigration, politics, and mental health. He has been a minister at Sycamore View for 11 years. Josh and his wife have two boys and resides in the heart of the city of Memphis, a city Josh and his family deeply care about.
