Own the Zone™ and Raise the Flag™, media masochists! It's Anime Quarantine time again, and Murphy and Alex focus on the blessedly non-ecchi card battle genre! "Duel Masters" teaches us that you can't spell "cheating" without "chi", but how many timelines does a show need to truly explore a Magic: The Gathering ripoff? "Future Card Buddyfight" asks us to "luminize", but should that 10 foot tall dinosaur really have a crush on that 1...

How did Rex Cloud unlock the powers of the Daddy Sue Archetype? Will our trio of magical alien princesses discover the truth about sundials? What are bees doing outside? Would I come up with something this dumb? Find out as your favorite media masochists discuss episodes 2 - 5 of the straight-to-streaming Tales of Morrissa!

The independent, direct-to-streaming series Tales of Morrissa purports to be about young ladies with superpowers attempting to unearth their mysterious origins… but it’s actually countless scenes of people sitting and talking inside suburban homes! But what is Rachel’s mysterious connection to the show, and is it enough to avoid the title of the Absolute Worst?

Jack the Ripper steals H.G. Wells' REAL time machine and escapes to modern New York City. Wells gives chase, and wacky hijinks ensue... at least they would, if this were a film starring Malcolm McDowell and Mary Steenburgen! Instead, "Time After Time" is an hour-long drama from 2017 starring Freddie Stroma as Wells and Josh Bowman as Jack that aired on ABC for all of 5 episodes. Will our intrepid media masochists be able to withsta...

Just in time for Purim it’s our Chanukah special, and comedian Adam Feuerberg guest stars on a VERY special episode! What happens when you combine the problematic “hidden Jew” trope with a standard Hallmark Channel movie from 2019, and add a dash of Bruce Boxleitner? Something the whole family can’t enjoy — but we sure do make the best of it!

The 90s were awash with shows designed to sell action figures to kids, but 1997's Van-Pires is the only one that may secretly feature an A-list celebrity! This CG/live action hybrid monstrosity was meant to roll out a whole line of toys... but did they ever deliver? Join Alex, Murphy, Rachel, and welcome back Tocci the Human IMDB to find out!

The Bunco Squad returns to the scene of the crime by watching two more eps of 1976's "Homles & Yoyo". They were charmed by novelty before... but has the show's "secret police robot" premise started to rust? Plus, reader mail and another letter from Tocci the Human IMDB!

Don't you hate it when you get trapped in your favorite video game? You usually end up surrounded by beautiful people who are mystified by your otherwise totally average self! Join Alex and Murphy as they explore the worst the "isekai" genre of anime has to offer. Will "Seven Senses of the Re'Union" (2018) leave them senseless? Will battling with "The Master of Ragnarok & Blesser of Einherjar" (2018) grant them entry to Valhall...

This week's terrible TV fare is 1976's "Holmes & Yoyo"! Starring character actor Richard B. Schull as Holmes and slightly more successful character actor John Schuck as the secret android Gregory "Yoyo" Yoyonovich, this series landed on TV Guide's list of the 50 Worst Shows of All time at number 33. Does it deserve the shame it gets? Alex, Murphy and Rachel find out, plus another letter from Tocci the Human IMDB!

Alex and Murphy explore the cringe-inducing anime genre of "harem", where bland protagonists are surrounded by hot members of the opposite sex who are inexplicably attracted to them. But what are worse: male-centric harems or so-called "reverse" harems that are female centric? To find out, our intrepid hosts soldiered through "Rosario + Vampire" on the male side and "Amnesia" on the female side. Could they have possibly been charme...

You've heard about it on The Simpsons and Arrested Development, but is the notoriously high concept My Mother the Car (1965) really one of the worst shows ever made? Alex, Murphy, and Rachel tune in to find out, but instead get fascinated by old-timey remote controls. Plus, another Isolation Letter from Tocci the Human IMDB!

We're all stuck inside with ample time to stream terrible TV, so Alex and Murphy did what all anime fans love to do: scream about how much they hate anime. In the inaugural Anime Quarantine, they explore the "ecchi" genre with 2016's "Keijo!!!!!!!!" and 2003's "Ikki Tousen". The depiction of women causes them to have physical revulsions! Plus, a quarantine missive from Tocci the Human IMDB, and a show so disgusting that it earned a...

Rachel couldn't join this time around and she was the only one with standards, so Alex, Murphy, and Tocci watched some truly awful TV. The first was a UK show from 1990 called "Heil Honey I'm Home". It's a sitcom starring... Adolf Hitler and Eva Braun. If that weren't bad enough, we jump to 1995 animated MTV for the positively revolting "The Brothers Grunt"! Could it be that these could rival The Secret Diary of Desmond Pfieffer as...

It took some digging, but we finally unearthed 2007's much-maligned "Viva Laughlin". With a cast including Hugh Jackman, Mädchen Amick, D.B. Woodside, and Anna Kendrick, you'd think there'd be something salvageable here... right? Cancelled after only two episodes had aired, could this musical/"comedy"/drama be worse than even Cop Rock?

The second installment of our Night & Day viewing of David Hasselhoff's "Baywatch Nights", where we watch one episode of each of the two seasons of the show, has some radical dudes and gill-ular dudettes. But a Wikipedia whoopsie may have given us more than we bargained for... or should I say less! Will all of us make it through "Bad Blades" and "The Creature"?

Next up, the syndicated mid-90s "Baywatch Nights"! No, not "Baywatch" -- "Baywatch Nights". Don't fret though, because it still has the franchise's biggest star: David Hasselhoff! The show made a serious shift in genre from season 1 to season 2, going from standard private eye stuff to supernatural shenanigans, so we're doing a good ol' "compare and contrast" to evaluate its entertainment value/crappiness. The holidays are here, and that means TV specials and a visit from everyone's pal Cary Kingdom! For today's pod, we're watching The Hallmark Channel's "A Carol Christmas" starring Tori Spelling.
