Today we had a conversation with Victoria Rizzuto, MS and Dr. Rachel Altvater about using Apps in Practice!
Victoria is a third-year doctoral student studying Clinical Psychology at Loyola University in Maryland. She completed her Bachelor's degree in Psychology at the University of Pittsburgh with a minor in Communication and a Master's Degree in Clinical Psychology from Loyola University in Maryland. Victoria has previously provided outpatient individual therapy as well as administered Psychoeducational Assessments at the Loyola Clinical Centers. As part of her master's practicum, Victoria trained at John Hopkins Bayview Medical Center's Intensive Outpatient Program using expressive-based therapies with preschoolers and their families. She has experience providing therapeutic care to individuals, groups, and families. Victoria's approach to therapy focuses on creating a therapeutic space in which a person feels safe, accepted, authentic, and empowered to create their own happiness by growing at their own pace. She believes that emotional healing truly begins when a person feels heard and accepted. Her clinical interests include the preschool population, child-centered play therapy, trauma-informed care, technology's impact on child development, and working with underserved populations. Victoria also serves as the student board member of the Association of Play Therapy Maryland/DC Branch. You can reach her at vfrizzuto@gmail.com.
