(00:05):
Welcome, Welcome, Welcome. Iam so happy to be here. Thank
you for joining me. This isthe first podcast for twenty nineteen. I
am Janelle Langford, the lifestylist andyour purpose Pusher. This is so exciting.
I am so full. I haveso much that I want to share

(00:25):
with you all. And when Iwas preparing for the podcast today, I
was trying to decide on what Iwanted to talk about because there's just so
many things, topical things that Iwant to share, and there's so much
going on in the world today. There's so many things that we could touch
on, and I was just full. It's just like, I can't spend,

(00:47):
you know, a two hour longtime frame to kind of share everything
that I'm experiencing. But I wantedto settle in this because I know that
this is the first full week ofthe new year. Now, a lot
of you all are getting back fromvacation or time off and really trying to
get into the swing of things. And I know I myself had a little

(01:10):
bit of anxiety. I would sayabout right after Christmas, knowing that the
new year was coming, and Iwas trusting God for the exceedingly and the
abundantly more that I was very thoughtfuland intentional, intentional about wanting to be
on a divine assignment and wanting todo things that honored God. I wanted

(01:33):
to make sure I was in alignmentand I hadn't. That had not been
my focus in previous years, andI just wanted twenty nineteen to be different.
I need it to be different, and I think you can attest to
that as well, that you needthis year to be different on so many
levels and not just revenue. ButI want this to be my most intentional

(01:57):
year yet. I want what Iwork on to come through to fruition.
I want my gifts and my talentsto serve me I want to be I
want this season too, for meto be who God wants me to be.
I also thought that I don't wantto go through the intervals of faith

(02:20):
that I was going through in previousyears, where you're like up and down
and trusting God and you're afraid thatyou're trusting God and you're afraid. It's
just like, I don't have timefor that. I know you don't have
time for that, and it canbe very taxing on your spirit to kind
of come in and out of faithand in and out of emotions, and
and you know, trying God andwanting to do well and hoping for something,

(02:44):
believing God for something, and youknow, just being just having a
lot of doubt. And you know, in that doubt sometimes that leads to
us not being as productive as wewould like to be, or it leads
to us doing too much, overexerting our energy, not protecting our bandwidth.

(03:04):
So I settled on talking to youall about my three fs for twenty
nineteen. And I think that inorder to occupy the land that God has
set as ours, that we mustbe steadfast in our commitment and covenant to

(03:34):
Him. Again, this brings meto a place off my notes here,
and you need to a place ofthe fullness. Like I was reading about
Samson last night, and how youknow he did not keep in regard of
what God had asked him to doand the things that God asked him not
to do in keeping in that covenant. And as he continued to relinquish that

(04:00):
relationship and the elements of that relationshipin the illustrations of those relationships, God's
power begin to leave him. Andwe don't want to be in that season
where we little by little begin tochip away at our covenant and our connection
with God so that we don't wantGod's power to leave us. I need

(04:24):
all of Heaven in me for twentynineteen. So the first thing that I
want to talk to you all aboutis freedom. Our first f is freedom.
We need to take liberty and God, we need to allow ourselves freedom.
We don't give ourselves freedom. Weare always holding ourselves to man's standards.

(04:47):
We're always rushing, We're always pushing, We're always trying to make things
happen. We're always trying to pushthe needle. We're always kind of just
going. And we need to takeliberty in the most high God. We
need to allow ourselves some time.We need to allow ourselves some peace.

(05:08):
We need to allow ourselves the opportunityto nestle ourselves in the arms of God
and allow him to do the heavylifting. And that's one thing that I
really need to work on and thatI am tasked to do this year,
is to let God do the heavylifting. You know, stop concerning myself

(05:30):
with things that are outside of myspiritual pay grade, allow myself some freedom,
allow myself some rest, and stoppushing the envelope and not doing things
before time, but just electing peace, trading my word for God's peace.
So I want to encourage you toelect freedom, not to be, not

(05:54):
to allow the strongholds of this worldto overcome you and overtake you. Allow
yourself the freedom to mess up,to make mistakes, and to come back
to God. Allow yourself the freedomto put some things down and pick some
things up, and to protect theintegrity of your bandwidth because we have challenges

(06:19):
in doing that where we do alot trying to do good things instead of
doing God things. So I wantto encourage you that in twenty nineteen that
you need to elect freedom. Thesecond thing is focus, and the discussion
of focus could go off into alot of different tangents, but we all

(06:45):
know focus is necessary to move theneedle forward in anything that you want to
do, that you desire to do, and that you are called to do.
Even if you know in your callingdon't feel that you are well equipped
to do what you need to do, you still have to be focused on

(07:06):
what God has asked of you andwhat the calling is over your life.
You need to get laser focused, because only when you do that can you
then be more aware of the resourcesin people, places, and things that
are in front of you that aregoing to help you move the needle forward.

(07:26):
And then it also allows us tocut out the distractions that always come
up when we are on our journey, when we are on divine assignment,
those distractions are going to come upto get us off our task, to
get us off God's perfect plan forour lives. And so we must maintain

(07:47):
focus. Another lesson from Samson. It's just his focus was all about him
and what his desires were and whathe wanted and what felt good to him.
His focus was not on the callingover his life. His focus was
not what was promised to him,as you know, what he was anointed
to do, what his life's workwas to be. His focus was on

(08:09):
other things. And so we haveto become laser focused with what we have
been instructed to do, and wecannot lose sight of that. We cannot
treat it as if it's not important. We cannot we can't misprioritize it.
We have to keep God at thehelm and we have to be laser focused

(08:31):
on our goals, the strategies andtactics that are necessary to execute those goals
and operating an excellence, But wecannot allow ourselves to get off our track,
our journey, because that can changeour trajectory. We don't want to

(08:54):
spend you know, so much timegoing the wrong way and then have to
double back and then go the rightway. We have to be laser focused
on what we are called to do, being aware about what is in front
of us, and not allowing anydistractions to take place. The last thing
is frequency. I talk about frequencya lot. Anytime I do proposals,

(09:16):
there is some mention of frequency. How often do we need to do a
certain task, How often does somethingneed to be implemented? How often are
we implementing an initiative or a pieceof strategy to move something forward. Our
frequency tells us to be diligent, and not only only to be diligent,

(09:39):
but to be consistent. Consistency meansthat you do it continually and you do
it well. A lot of timeswe do things frequent, but we don't
do them well. So we wantto build up the acumen necessary to make
sure that whatever we're committing ourselves tothat we're committing ourselves to it in excellence.

(10:03):
So a lot of times, evenwith this podcast, As an example,
I have in my calendar the daysthat I need to record my podcast
so that I can do it infrequency, so that at some point it
can I won't even have to lookat my calendar. I will it will
just be a part of my life. It'll be a part of my routine.
It'll be part of honoring my covenantwith God, honoring the calling over

(10:26):
my life. And so we haveto begin to adjust and look at the
frequency in our lives. It's necessaryto move some things forward. We have
to learn how to be diligent. That means we don't give up. That
means when it gets hard, orwhen we don't feel like it, or
we don't feel like we're worthy,or we have their resources and tools,

(10:50):
that we still press, that wedon't let it go, that we don't
allow it to intimidate us, thatwe don't allow it to overcome us or
consume us. That we are diligent, that we know the work that is
in front of us. We knowthat we know what we are supposed to
do and what we are called todo, and anything that does not cooperate

(11:13):
with that truth we put down.So frequency is about being diligent and being
consistent. We all have asked somebodyin our lives at one time or another
that you need to be more consistent. Where is your consistency. I don't
see you being consistent. Well, the same is true for what we're called

(11:35):
to do. The same is truefor that business that you're trying to push
forward. The same is true forthat idea that you want to get off
to the ground. The same istrue for how you want your life to
manifest. The same is true forwhat you want to see happen in your
day. You have to be consistent. There are some things that are going

(11:56):
to require your consistency. A lotof the things that serve us we don't
do frequently. They are not onany type of life frequency. Our prayer
lives aren't. We have no frequencyin it. Our study time, we
have no frequency in it. Themeetings that it takes to move projects forward,

(12:18):
they have no frequency. I meetwith my clients every single week,
and I like to meet with themat the same time every single week,
so that they know that we havea standing time where it's kind of off
limits, where we know that we'regoing to meet and we're gonna touch a
degree, and you know, wecan kind of just audibly get out everything
that we need to get out.And I've found that anytime those clients miss

(12:41):
a meeting, or if I needto cancel our meeting, or if it's
a holiday, anytime that that schedulegets knocked off, then we start to
experience a little bit adversity. Clientsfeel like they don't know what's going on,
and they feel like nothing's happening,or they feel like they're behind.
So frequency serves us. Being consistentserves us even when we don't want to

(13:03):
do it. But if we couldjust be diligent and be steadfast and the
things that we're called to be,we would find that overall it really serves
our overall purpose and what we needto make happen. I read today there
was a quote I shared on myInstagram that said, you must so excellence

(13:28):
in order to reap and excellent harvest. So we need to think about what
we're sowing, what we're sewing inour frequency, how we're being consistent,
how we're being diligent, what we'refocusing on, is what we're focusing on
things that cooperate with heaven, oris what we're focusing on things that don't
serve us and have nothing to dowith our divine assignment. How does freedom

(13:54):
show up in our life? Arewe allowing people, places, and things
to have strongholds over us? Arethe people, places, and things that
are in our lives hindering us fromgrowth? And it doesn't always have to
be a negative thing. Again, sometimes we do good things instead of God
things. So sometimes when you're helpingsomebody out, or you know a family

(14:18):
member needs an extra push, oryou know some financial help, and you're
doing those things. So those aregood things, but if you weren't called
to do them, then they havebecome a stronghold and a distraction and they
don't serve you. So you haveto allow freedom to take place that I
cannot be bound by anything that doesnot align, that does not perfectly align

(14:41):
with God's calling over my life.I want to encourage you guys for twenty
nineteen. It's gonna be a heckof a year. I'm excited to see
what God's going to do. Butwe ourselves have to do our part.
We ourselves have to be diligent inour work. We have to, you
know, implement our task with tenacityand frequency. We have to be laser

(15:03):
focused on what He's asked us todo, and keep our eyes set on
our calling, our purpose, ourpassions. And finally, we have to
maintain freedom. We have to electfreedom. We have to choose it time
and time and time again. Andanything that conflicts with the infallible word of

(15:26):
God or anything that contradicts the divinecalling over your life, we set down.
I want you guys to have agreat month, happy January. I
want you to have a great newyear, and I look forward to encouraging
you along the way. If youenjoy this podcast, then please make sure
