(00:07):
So happy to be with you guysagain. Welcome back to my podcast.
My name is Jenelle Linkford and Iam the lifestylist, your life coach,
and a style maven. Today Iwant to talk to you from the subject
of protecting the integrity of your bandwidth. This is a conversation that I have

(00:28):
quite often with fellow entrepreneurs or entrepreneursthat I am coaching, or friends,
family, brothers and sisters in christ. It is a conversation that is important
to have. Protecting the integrity ofyour bandwidth is a fundamental principle that I

(00:51):
adopted years ago just being an entrepreneurand working and working and working and working,
and I got to the point whereI will I've decided, like I'm
not going to work past twelve o'clock, and no matter what was going on
at twelve o'clock, I would alwaysclose my laptop. And that seems strange,
like twelve o'clock, like that's evenlater what you should be working.

(01:15):
But there was times where I wasworking until like three to four or five
o'clock in the morning, and thereare still times like that. And I
realized that there was a pattern, and I wanted to break the cycle,
and so I really begin to adoptthe principle that I need to protect the
integrity of my bandwidth. I needto know when I need to stop,
when I need to protect my boundaries, when I need to respect and understand

(01:41):
that I can't go any further inthis. And so when we're talking spiritually
about protecting the integrity of our bandwidth, we always have this notion that we
tell one another. And I saynotion, and I'm going to tell you,
guys, why, But we alwayshave this notion of, well,
God won't put more on you thanyou can bear. I have heard that

(02:02):
my entire life, so much sothat I thought it was scripture. And
I want to tell you all thatI learned that that is not actually in
the Bible. It is not inthe Bible. It is not in the
unfallible word of God, that hewill not put more on you than you

(02:23):
can bear. When you're an entrepreneur, you already are dealing with your business.
You are already dealing with the insand outs of thriving, of staying
afloat, of managing staff, ofreaching your goals, of exceeding your goals,
and you are stretching yourself so youcouple entrepreneurialship with life events and adult

(02:47):
obligations and all these other things thatwe have to take care of. And
then in the midst of that lifereally happens, your spouse gets sick or
you get sick, or you knowyour parents need you, or your children
need you, or you are justsuffering loss after loss, hit after hit.

(03:10):
You know you're you're trying to getback up, You're trying to dust
yourself off, and you just keepgetting just plummeted by the enemy and the
test in the trials that God isputting before you can seem like it's too
much. Sometimes when we can communicatethat experience with other people, their rebuttal

(03:32):
is God will not put more onyou than you can bear. So then
with that understanding, we go throughlife with the thinking that, well,
if I'm going through it, Ican bear it. And that is not
what we're called to do. We'renot cane to bear everything we are called

(03:52):
to. Once we get to thepoint where it is beyond our spiritual pay
grade to manage and deal with whatwe are experiencing, we need to tap
into the most high God. SoGod does say he won't allow us to
be tempted beyond what we can bear, and that He will always provide a

(04:15):
way out in First Corinthians ten thirteen. But that is not the same as
saying I won't put more on youthan you can bear. The call is
that in everything that we experience,we are to take it with prayer and
supplication to the most High God.We have to tap into his power.
Once we hit that threshold of thingsbeing unbearable, things being beyond us,

(04:43):
hitting that proverbial wall, not knowingwhat to do next, that is God's
time. That's God's time to interveneand intercede. It's not for us to
say, well, I'm just gonnadeal with it. I'm just gonna push
through. We say that a lottoo, I'm just gonna push through.
I'm pushing through. Oh, youdon't need to push through. You need
to uplift God. You need toget into praise and worship. You need

(05:06):
to allow God to be God.It's his moment. Allow him to have
his moment in time. Allow himto give you his yoke, because we
know his yoke is easy and hisburden is light. And a lot of
times we are trying to go throughthis life by ourselves, not inviting God

(05:30):
into our circumstances, laying our agendasat the throne of grace and God is
just like I want to be apart of this thing. I want to
partner with you and what and whatthe kingdom says about you. I want
to collaborate with you and the promisesthat I have given to you. So
often we work and work and work, and we deal with life, and

(05:56):
we're setting God up to disappoint usif we are looking at our lives from
the perspective of saying, God won'tput more on me than we can bear.
If you think that, then whereis there room for God to step
in and do his good work?Where is there room for God to step
in and alleviate what you are goingthrough. Where is there room for God

(06:20):
to step in and lessen your load? Where is there room for you to
take on his yoke? We haveto give God room to be God.
And a lot of times we getso used to managing our lives without proper
government, without God being at thehelm, that we enter every single battle

(06:43):
without him trying to do everything inour strength. And our strength isn't enough
because we know we wrestle not againstflesh and blood, but against principalities and
in dark forces, so that isbeyond your spiritual paygrade. We have got
to let God be God. Wehave. It's okay to say this is

(07:08):
too much, Lord, take it. This is too much. Lord,
This is your time to do whatyou're going to do. This is too
much, Lord, this doesn't seemlike this is my part. I'm tagging
you in and let him do hisgood work. We can no longer approach
life with an understanding that we haveto bear it all. We are not

(07:30):
well equipped to bear it all, simply because we don't have the vantage point
to know everything that is supposed tohappen in our lives, everything that's perfect
for us, every test and trialthat will become before us. We're just
looking towards victory, and that victorywill be more swift and more savory if

(07:57):
we allow God to do his part. Allow God to take his rightful place
exactly where he needs to be,at the helm of our lives, involved
in every single thing, from thebig to the small. There is no
minute detail that God doesn't want youto share with him. That is what

(08:20):
relationship is all about. And themore you share those intimate details of your
lives, of the things you wantto do with your business, other things
you have going on with your family, of the desires of your heart.
The more that you communicate that toGod, the more that you will understand
his character, the more that you'llbe able to hear the Holy Spirit and
get direction and directives of what todo next and what to do now.

(08:43):
And so, if you're going throughsomething right now and you feel like it's
too much to bear, I wantto offer you to give God the opportunity
to be God. Give God theopportunity to do his good work. It
is not up for you to doeverything, to take on everything, to
bear it until you just feel beatenup. I tell people that if you're

(09:09):
feeling frustrated, if you're feeling exhausted, then that means you're operating outside of
the will of God. You're operatingoutside of your bandwidth. We weren't created
to be exhausted. We weren't createdto feel downtrodden and just overwhelmed. If
you are feeling overwhelmed, then thatmeans you haven't given up what you need

(09:33):
to surrender and submit over to God. It is beyond you and his requirement
of you is not that you takeit on. I want to encourage you
guys today to take inventory of yourlives, to take inventory of your situations,
the good and the bad, andrealize what you need to turn over
to God. Realize what you've beenholding onto as your fight, Realize what

(10:01):
has really been beyond you, whereyou've pushed through and you really didn't have
to reflect on the things that youtruly need to surrender over to the Most
High God and give it to himand leave them there and elect peace over
worried, because we know time andtime again in our lives that He's made

(10:26):
all things perfect, that he canhandle things better than we ever could,
and so we need to allow himthat space and that opportunity in our lives
to do his good work. Iwant to encourage you all to protect the
integrity of your bandwidth in collaboration withthe Most High God. Until next time,

(10:52):
have a beautiful day, Be well.
