with me. Thank you for joiningme on my podcast. My name is
Janelle Langford and I am the Lifestylists, Your Life Coach and your Style Maven.
Today we are talking about switching tooverdrive. Switching to overdrive, leveling

up, doing better, doing more, and doing it well, doing it
in excellence. You all know thatI'm very passionate about operating and excellence,
so I want to give you allfour tips, tactics principles for you to
implement when you are in your overdriveseason, when you are in your leveling

up season. The first thing isto gain clarity. It is so important
that we gain clarity about our purposesand our passion because they are so fundamentally
different. Our passions are what weare naturally good at, what we are
passionate about, what we love todo, what we do innately, and
(01:14):
we can really begin to attribute themto being our God given gifts and talents.
Our purpose, however, is whatwe need God's help for. It
is the vision that is beyond us. It is the vision that requires more
resources, more education, more understanding, more discernment. More spirit led directives.
(01:41):
That is what our purpose is.Your purpose is something that is totally,
incompletely bigger than you, something thatGod has placed in you, and
you are trying to figure out howyou're going to get it done, how
you are going to make it happen. So you can begin to identify the
difference between your purpose and your passions, and that is very much a key
component to understanding your footing in thislife because a lot of times we spend
(02:07):
countless resources energy in developing our passions, but we never tap into our purpose.
So you need to gain clarity onwhich is which, because just because
you are good at something does notmean that it is your purpose. Right
Because again, our passions are thingsthat we are naturally good at, the
(02:30):
things that get us into rooms thatwe have no business being in, allow
us to share our gifts and talents, allow us to just maneuver through this
world. And our purpose is whattouches the hearts and the lives of people.
So we want to gain clarity onthat. The second thing is to
(02:53):
identify God in your passion or yourpurpose or your project at Okay, you
want to identify the God in itbecause a lot of times we're doing stuff
just for our own pursuits, andseemingly there may not be anything wrong with
that. However, there's going tocome a point where you're gonna need God
(03:15):
for something, So you want tobe clear. Especially if there is a
project that you feel that God hasplaced in you, you want to identify
where God is in it, likehow does this glorify God? How does
this further the Kingdom? How doesthis speak to my divine calling? You
(03:37):
need to uncover those things because inuncovering those things, then we can tap
into all of the divine downloads thatGod wants to give to us in order
to move those things through to fruitionto have those things manifest. So it's
important that we identify the God andthings. Also, if there's some thing
(04:00):
that you are passionate about, youneed to identify the God and that because
if you are a believer, ifyou are a follower of the Most High,
you want to be able to approacheverything, even if it's something that
is completely self serving. You stillwant to be able to present yourself as
as that living sacrifice. You stillwant to present yourself as doing something with
(04:27):
purpose and unction. You want tobe able to identify how this glorifies God,
How how am I touching people inthis? You know, what is
my God extension here? And thatjust maybe how you communicate with people,
how you interact with your following oryour audience, or you know, how
(04:49):
you you know, maybe send thankyou notes, or maybe how people are
greeted if they're coming into your toan event. Those are the things where
you want to identify the God andwant to have that God element, that
God characteristics and what you are doing. The third thing is be prepared to
(05:11):
make an impact. A lot oftimes we are afraid of success. We
are afraid of what that is goingto look like, especially in our purpose,
because we're already ill prepared. Wealready feel like it's bigger than us
and it's going to be very difficultto have this thing manifests. But we
need to be prepared to make animpact. When there is a calling over
(05:35):
your life, you are called tobe great and to do extraordinary things.
So you need to be prepared forthat moment. And that means being prepared
in your mental capacity, your physicalcapacity, your spiritual capacity, mind,
body, and soul, being fullyprepared so that you can be a good
(05:57):
steward with the manifestation of your dream. We have to learn how to be
good stewards with the manifestation of ourdreams. Am I the person that causes
these things to manifest? Do Ihave the right incubator that can nurture the
goodness of the things that I amreceiving and that I want and that I
(06:20):
have laid at the throne of Grace? Have I become the person? Have
I matured in my character and shaped? Have I been shaped in a way
that can fully receive and sustain thatwhich I have asked from God or that
(06:41):
which I have received from God?So we need to do our due diligence
internally to ensure that we can bean impact, that we are prepared to
be an impact, that we understandthe weight in the responsibility that comes with
our calling and what we're doing.The fourth and final thing is a huge
(07:06):
thing. And if you are anentrepreneur, then you understand this whole hearted,
wholeheartedly, and this is something thatyou really have to keep in your
heart. It's something that you haveto be conscious of because we you know,
(07:26):
just as humans, we always wantto look at the facts rather than
the truth. Right, So Numberfour is, do not set your goals
on the resources that you have rightnow. We need to approach our vision
with expectancy in our heart that Godwill do the exceedingly and the abundantly more.
(07:54):
You're not supposed to have the resourcestoday for such a great vision.
Because it's such a great vision,there needs there's layers of manifestation, there's
layers of growth, there's layers ofunderstanding. So if you had all the
resources today to bring that vision tofruition today, you wouldn't be able to
(08:16):
fully explore and fully develop and fullyimplement all that has been placed in you
in this moment right now. Buta lot of times we have a vision,
we have a dream, we havesomething that we so desperately want to
do, but because we don't havethe resources to take it to the finish
(08:39):
line on today, we begin toset goals that cannot be, that aren't
scalable. We begin to set goalsthat are too small for our vision.
Right we have to begin to setour goals based on what is within us,
not what's in our bank account ontoday, not what's not what we're
(09:01):
going to be paid on the first, on the fifteen, not on the
contracts that we're that you know wealready have secure. We are basing our
visions on the storehouse of our Father, that is what we are basing our
goals on, the storehouse of theMost High God, and we know that
that is abundant. We know thatthat is never in the death of sent
(09:24):
right. We have to remember thatwe are sufficient in crisis sufficiency. So
when we are setting our goals forour vision in our dreams, we cannot
base it on the resources that wehave. Right now, it's supposed to
be bigger than you, right becauseonce you get to that finish line,
(09:45):
you're going to be a different person. You're going to be more developed,
more mature. You would have gonethrough your pruning process, you would have
gone through the growth necessary to movethe needle on this thing. So as
you sit down and you strategize andyou plan, make sure that you are
(10:07):
setting goals that you can attain withChrist and that you can get because you
know what's coming. You know howgreat the calling is over your life.
So you're not going to concern yourselfwith your lack. We concern ourselves a
(10:31):
lot of time with our lack.What we don't have, what we think
we need what we know we're notgoing to get all of these things,
and those thoughts don't serve us,and those thoughts don't speak life into our
divine destiny, those life, thosethings don't speak life into our trajectory.
So we need to be very carefuland extremely conscious when we are setting goals,
(10:56):
when we are strategizing for our dreams, for our businesses, for our
passions, for our purpose, toknow that we cannot base it on the
resources right now, we are tobase our dreams and base our visions on
the resources and our father's storehouse.So we're talking today about switching to overdrive,
(11:20):
leveling up, being in the seasonof overdrive, getting ready to reap
the fullness thereof, and preparing ourselvesfor the greatness that we have been promised.
So again, the first thing wewant to do is gain clarity,
be clear about what our calling is, and be clear about what our passions
are. The second thing is wewant to identify God in our purpose.

We want to identify God and everythingthat we are doing, everything that we're
moving forward, everything that we're puttingenergy behind, we want to identify the
God in it. The third thingis to be prepared to make an impact
mind, body, and soul.Let's do our due diligence to get clean,
clear and ready to go. Andlastly, we are not going to
(12:09):
set our goals based on the resourcesthat we have today, but we will
set our goals and so into ourdreams and so into our visions based on
