That storied, bourbon barrel finished imperial stout, hailing from the great northern state of...Illinois...comes to us at a hearty 14.8% ABV this time around. Yet, there's something quite different about the presentation and packaging this time around for the Goose Island Bourbon County Brand Stout...how peculiar. Does it matter, in the end? Perhaps...perhaps not. But, what we really care about is what that deep, black liquid inside tastes like and whether it's worth picking it up.
