Episode 4 of the This Post Life podcast This is an interview with Sean Massey the Supervising dialogue editor for Deadpool 2. I first met Sean at the Los Angeles Post Production Group and he later talked to me about his path to dialogue editing. Some terms used: Alt - Alternative take PFX - any kind of sound effect captured during filming aside from footsteps, cloth movement - (from http://socialsounddesign.com) M&E (M&E Track) - A sound track with the mixed music and effects on separate channels and no dialogue. This track is sent to foreign countries to create versions of the film in their language.
