Christian Philipson har skabt en vinforretning, der omsætter for omkring en halv mia. kr. Han begyndte i 1987 med at brage ind i den danske vinbranche, hvor han opførte sig som en elefant på et lager af højstilkede glas ved at bryde en række uskrevne regler.
Konkurrenterne hadede ham, men kunderne elskede den nye distributionsform Philipson indførte; først postordre og siden e-handel.
I dag kalder han sig pensionist, hvilket ikke forhindrer ham i at arbejde flittigt, fortæller han over en frokost på Kurhotel Skodsborg, hvor vinhandleren selv har taget vin med. 21 flasker i alt.
