Quand on est malade, l'entourage est primordial. En France, les aidants ont des congés, des aides, des allocations. Mais parfois, les malades trouvent du réconfort en dehors du cercle familial ou amical. Chaque petit geste compte, pour essayer de se rétablir au mieux.
Le quotidien de Raphaël est pesant. À l'école, on se moque de lui. Il pleure quand il rentre à la maison. Chaque année, on l'opère. Il souffre. Et rien ne progresse dans le bon sens. Jusqu'à ce qu'un jour, au détour d'un concert, il fasse une rencontre dont l'intensité inattendue changera sa vie.
