Websites such as Zillow or Redfin provide estimates which can help give you a rough idea on pricing, but these valuations should never be taken as 100% accurate. Valuation websites use algorithms, which leave out important information such as:

• Upgrades: Algorithms do not take into account upgrades that have been made in the home, which may have added thousands in value.
• Location: If you’re off the beaten path in an area with few homes nearby, estimates may be much lower than what your home is actually worth.
