This is Kathleen Martin. You're listeningto UFO Headquarters, Beautiful Headquarters, and
welcome once again to UFO Headquarters onHudson Ripper Radio. Michael Warden, Linna

(00:23):
Zimmerman, and thank you to KathleenMartin for that wonderful introduction. If you
don't know who Kathleen Martin is,she's been a guest on the podcast.
She's the author of Captured that Bettyand Barney Hill UFO Experienced, and she
is a niece of the Hills. So check check out her book. Amazingly
wonderful person too. Yeah, checkout her podcast. She was great on

(00:47):
our podcast with her. I justwant to I want to mention something Linda
really quick. Now. Today's episodeit's a two parter, I believe called
Bizarre Entities, and I can't thinkof two more bizarre entities than you and
I. I mean, well, surprise, not surprisingly, the entire show

(01:08):
is about you and I. SoI'm part one, You're part two.
I mean my wife definitely and kidsthink I'm I embrace my strangeness. Yes,
it's going to be a fun one. Yeah, but before we get
into that, Brian reposted our episodeon Everybody in the pool because a lot

(01:34):
of people were talking about water andUFOs, and so he reposted that to
the top of the of the list, and a couple of people responded to
it. And I just want toread these because I love get you know
me, I live for new newcases I hadn't heard of and somebody had

(01:57):
uh mentioned at My father and adeer hunting friend, a Warren County sheriff
deputy, were deep in the forestof North Bolton, New York, which
is in Warren County, sitting attheir deer hunting posts near a small pond
when they witnessed a sighting over apond. So some craft is over this

(02:22):
pond, and subsequently saw all theother hunters fleeing in fear. So you
can imagine the woods full of deerhunters and this UFO is hovering over the
pond. We're out of here,so she said. Back then there were

(02:43):
many sightings in the area over ponds, including a small lake called Glen Lake,
which I don't quite know where thatis. I have to look that
up. And then she said shepersonally witnessed a sighting traveling east on Route
eighty four near Brewster in nineteen eightythree, which added her to the list

(03:04):
the cast of thousands who did andthen somebody else. Lily wrote that she
lived off Stoneleigh Avenue in Carmel, and I witnessed I witnessed this in the
reservoir in the early nineties, meaninga craft. So this I looked stonely.

(03:25):
It's along Croton Falls Reservoir, whichis a hot spot among hotspots of
so much activity in out of thewater over the water. So I asked
for a little more detail. Shesaid it was hovering and looked like water
was being sucked up somehow with astraw or something like that. That's very

(03:51):
interesting, right, another one ofthese sucking water out of pool's lakes.
Whatever. If you haven't heard everybodyin the Pool episode, definitely check it
out. Said it was a darkcraft, no sound, with lights that
were red and orange. It wasa triangle shape but didn't have pointy edges.

(04:15):
And she saw it, yeah edges, and she saw it for several
minutes, and she said, Iwill never forget it. It was near
the vista on the Lake Condos complexand Carmel. You can google that and
you can see it's right on theCroton Reservoir and then I asked her just
how big it was. She saidabout half the size of a football field.

(04:38):
And again she said it wasn't afull triangle as it was not pointed,
and it was wider across than longand rounded on the bottom. Kind
of sounds like the maybe a boomerangshape which was prevalent then. So yeah,
so these stories of UFOs and waterkeep keep coming up. What do

(05:02):
they do with it? Knows?Who knows? And if you know,
we appreciate that people take the timeto write in and share these encounters and
experiences and encourage them to continue todo so. Absolutely, I'm so excited
when somebody, oh, no,a new encounter. So why don't we

(05:23):
take our first break and then startwith the Bizarre Entities Hudson River Radio dot
com Hudson River Radio dot com subsidiaryof Glacier Entertainment LLC, blasting the competition
in New York's Hudson Valley. Andwe are back with part one, the

(05:49):
Bizarre Entities. And there is noshortage of bizarre entities that we can talk
about, Linda, when it comesto this topic, oh for sure.
Yeah, And I think what everyoneshould do is play along and at the
end of each episode, do youthink this was human, alien, cryptid,

(06:10):
or a hoax or all of theabove. So this first case we're
going to talk about, I sobelieved it had to be a hoax.
But I've watched a video about it, I've heard the witnesses talk. I
honestly do not know what to makeof this. So we're going to Peru

(06:30):
for this. July eleventh, twentytwenty three, was this first encounter,
and it was in a small villageof San Antonio, which is northeast of
Lima. It's a long boat rideto get there. It's a remote village,
but before you think, all thevillagers have spears and mud huts.

(06:54):
Everybody has a cell phone. Theywatch all the latest movies and TV shows
do They're wearing Nike shirts and TikTokshirts, and you know they're on social
media. So you know, remoteisn't what it used to be. So
they're remote, but certainly not primitive. So what they started seeing in July

(07:18):
seven foot tall beings in black metallicbody armor with elongated helmets with like yellow
glass for like the eye shields, silently flying and hovering on circular boards.
You know, the green Goblin comiccharacter picture something like that, only in

(07:45):
black body armor. So they havethese silent hoverboards that can fly fast and
far, and they come in pairs. All of these villagers described them the
same way. It's two of them. They seem to be able to snap
like the snap or click into thesehoverboards. The boards I think they said,

(08:09):
were like eight to ten feet andonce they land, they disconnect from
the hoverboard, but they still havesome sort of circular devices on their feet
that still allows them to hover afew feet off the ground and glide around
silently. I mean, how freakyfreaky is this? So the villagers like,

(08:33):
what the hell is this? Whatdo they want? Obviously you shoot
at them, and a lot ofthem have sixteen gage shotguns which they use
for birding, and they use Iloved this little detail. They used modified
bird shot, so I had toconsult my bird shot chart, my shot

(08:56):
chart today. Buckshot is much larger, several times larger than bird shot.
A typical number nine bird shot ispoint zero eight inches and can go up
to point one six So that's small. But they melt some of them together,
so it's a combination of larger pelletsand smaller ones, so interesting pack

(09:22):
a little more punch, right,I think that's you know, important.
So they're shooting at them, andthey just hear all of these pellets bouncing
off this metallic armor. And oneman swears he shot one of these guys
at close range. It fell backwardson its butt, but gut up right

(09:45):
away and flew off. So evenif you have good body armor, you're
taking a sixteen gauge shell. Yeah, that's some force. Yeah, So
the fact that it knocked it over, you know, indicates he definitely hit
it. It definitely took the impactand recoil, you know, it responded
accordingly. But I mean, whatkind of armor are they wearing that it's

(10:09):
not penetrating even a little bit,And depending on close range and the size
of the individual pellets and stuff insideof their Yeah, and just the physical
force that's us to knock the windout of you. So officials of course
come in to interview and say sothe official line, the excuse is these

(10:31):
are illegal gold miners using jet packs. I read that. What not a
single witness said they had jet packs. They all said they're on these hoverboards
and have these circular things on theirfeet trying to scare the villagers away from

(10:56):
their village, don't think so?And yeah, because they wanted to keep
them away from the mining pits.Apparently that was the right the theory,
Like we're going to pretend we're aliensand attack people to keep them away from
our gold. But it seems likeall you're doing is drawing attention and getting
shot at. Yeah, Like,I mean, if if you're really concerned

(11:20):
about your gold mines, I don'tknow that that seems like an awful extravagant,
just a really out of this worldliterally way of doing it. I
can think of other ways. Youcould probably do it a lot easier and
a lot more cheaply. And whohas this technology ten foot silent hoverboards that
two guys can click into and flyoff silently. Well, So it just

(11:43):
seemed to be like scaring the villagersfor the most part until one evening,
two of them land and grab afifteen year old girl named Talia. They
drug her by shooting something up hernose. Okay, Then they start rubbing

(12:07):
cream on her face that makes herface numb. Now bear with me,
I know this is so Twilight Zoneand this doesn't sound alien to me.
Then they take out something that lookslike a laser scalpel and start to cut
under her face along her chin line. I'll get to what might be behind

(12:33):
this. In the end, shemanages to scream. Her brother and others
come running. They see these twofigures. They're now trying to drag her
away with them, but they don'tseem to be able to take off with
her. Not that she weighs alot, but whatever these hover technology is,

(12:54):
they couldn't carry her too, sothey drop her and she's severely traumat
tied, has these cuts on herneck, and she is the only one
who claims that she heard heard themspeaking. No one's heard anything else.
She said. One was speaking Spanishlike a local, like a Peruvian.

(13:18):
This is very interesting if true. She said. One of them spoke with
an accent like a gringo, whichin US military just starts going off in
my head. Why, I don'tknow. So you'd like to say this
is some twisted military project, exceptthey're also seeing UFOs, acorn shaped UFOs

(13:46):
hovering at tree top level. Oneguy drew an illustration of it, said
that it was semi transparent and hecould see two figures inside. I mean,
this stuff is so weird. Andeven if you want to say they're
all mentally disturbed on some sort ofjungle fungus sixty miles away in a much

(14:09):
letter like a small city, thesame thing is happening. And a boy
was attacked and cut So what isthis with wanting to possibly cut your face
off? Apparently for the past fortyyears a legend of the placaris has developed,

(14:33):
the face peelers. They find bodiesof people with their faces cut off.
What I mean, they they supposedlywill eat your flesh. Some people
said, well, maybe they're organharvesters, you know, illegal organ I
don't. I don't know. Idon't know. There's a lot more to

(14:56):
this, but everyone should go toYouTube. And a guy named Tim Alberino
actually went to this play and everybodyelse writes about everybody else's stuff. He
went there and there's a YouTube calledPeru Alien Attack Expedition Report. Just check

(15:18):
it out. I don't know whatto make of this. I was.
I watched this video so carefully soI could say, ah, it's a
hoax. Aha, it's this something. These people are genuinely terrified. Something
is happening. Every single one describesthese seven foot guys in black body armor.

(15:39):
They even say, you know what, there's like, you know,
an arm piece of arm, youknow, like the segmented body armor like
soldiers would wear. But who hasthis hubverboard technology? Why are they terrorizing
these people? I don't know,so human, alien, cryptid? And

(16:00):
you know, I just go toif it is gold miners and you're going
through this whole elaborate When people startshooting at you with shotguns, it seems
to me like you might want tostart rethinking your strategy because now you could
get killed. I don't care howgood of the armor you think you've crafted.
So if it is, indeed, people assume that it is for a
moment, how smart would they beto continue doing it When you have people

(16:23):
shooting at them. What happens whenthey decide to shoot with something, you
know, a high powered rifle that'sgoing to penetrate armor very quickly. Yeah,
you know, like y So,I don't know what to make of
it. I just don't know. It's all fun in games till they start
shooting at you. Yeah, Imean, and the technology itself does it?

(16:45):
Even jet packs? Yeah, they'recool, they're noisy, they only
last a couple of minutes. Usuallywho has the technology to snap into a
ten foot board and take off likea bat out of hell? Yeah,
I mean does that technology exist likethat? I don't know, so that's

(17:07):
maybe. Yeah. So when Ifirst heard about this, I'm like,
oh, I'm not wasting my time. This is nonsense. And then I
heard about it again, and thenI watched the video and I'm like,
damn it. I don't know.So we'll leave that as an I'm leaning
towards humans, but I'm open toany any suggestions. Yeah, absolutely,

(17:33):
and we'll see. Maybe they'll havemore reports coming out of Peru in the
next few months. Yeah, andapparently something similar might also be happening in
Brazil right now. So why don'twe take our second break before our local
mothman expert continues with creatures flying throughthe air. This is Hudson River Radio

(17:56):
dot com. This is Hudson RiverRadio dot com. Okay, we are
going to go from Peru to WestVirginia, to the West Virginia slash Ohio

(18:22):
border to a quaint little town calledPoint Pleasant. I know you have been
there, Linda, Absolutely, Ihave been there. A couple of years
ago. I made the drive fromanother West Virginia city where I was and
had to experience this place for myself. It's very cool. But we are
going to go to nineteen sixty sixto nineteen sixty seven. Beginning with November

(18:44):
fifteenth of nineteen sixty six, acouple Roger and Linda Scarberry and Steve and
Mary Molett, are out one nightin an area of Point Pleasant on the
outskirts, which are called the TNTBunkers. So outside of Point Pleasant during
World War Two was a very largemunitions plant and they had these concrete dome

(19:07):
bunkers built all over the property tostore explosives, and they were apparently designed
with they had big steel blast dooresso that if for some reason there was
an accidental discharge in one bunker, the explosion would be contained that it would
not create a chain reaction and suddenlytrigger multiple bunkers. And you can go

(19:30):
check them out today. I knowyou went down there a few years ago
and got you. Yeah, somestrange vibes there. I can say that,
yeah, they are. There's andthey're everywhere. It's just odd.
You'll be walking into the woods andall of a sudden there's one and then
you walk, you know how manydistance away, and another one and another
one. Yeah, and they're big. We're not talking like a ten foot

(19:51):
shed there. I don't know, what would you say, forty fifty feet
in diameter? Oh yeah, they'remassive, yeah, massive. And they're
the acoustics in there, you know, if you talk, everything echoes and
reverberates because it's designed to contain anexplosion. So it's designed to keep the
explosion in that that can that bunkor not outside of it. And it's
a popular hangout. You could telljust from when I was there two years

(20:15):
ago, the graffiti, you know, the alcohol bottles. Sure, it's
been a long a party place forpeople in Point Pleasant and will continue to
be. But on this night inNovember fifteenth of nineteen sixty six, this
couple is out there and they reportto the police a very strange encounter.
They see a very large black creaturewith glowing red eyes, and it's on

(20:41):
the side of the road in thisTNT area. They see this creature and
they take off in their vehicle andthe creature pursues them. It follows them,
It flies after them all the wayto the city line of Point Pleasant,
at which point it disappears now,and it did to the description of,
you know, a large black creaturewith glowing red eyes. One of

(21:04):
the witnesses that night described it asa very tall, thin, muscular man,
about the height of a adult male, with a seven foot wingspan.
This witness also said, you know, the eyes were hypnotic, which prevented

(21:26):
her from accurately remembering what the facelooked like. So, even though you
know, they could recall these bigred eyes, the eyes were so hypnotic
that no details of the face seemedto be evident. And they report this
to the police, which I findinteresting. So and of course it hits
the local newspapers. Well, whatfollows is an entire wave of sightings of

(21:49):
this creature. A volunteer fireman, two volunteer firemen actually reported seeing what they
thought was a giant bird with glowingred eyes. And of course people thought
this was a real bird, maybemaybe it was a heron. The local
sheriff thought that people were seeing agiant heron bird who apparently has some red

(22:14):
around the eye, which could havebeen mistaken for a giant glowing red eyes,
but the reports kept coming in.Another witness, a man by the
name of Newel Partridge, a contractor, reported he saw the creature one night
and he shone a flashlight at it, and the eyes reflected off of the

(22:34):
light, reflected from the light likered reflectors on a bicycle wheel, so
they're light reactive. Now. Thisgentleman also felt that his dog had been
stolen by the creature and that thecreature had been interfering in his television and

(22:55):
other electronics. So there's a lotmore to his encounter there. Yuh,
Mike, If I can just add, when I was researching this about the
missing dog, I said, youknow what, let me go to Lost
and Found of the local papers.A lot of dogs were going missing in

(23:15):
that area around that time. Yeah, yep, I did not know that
detail. But that's fascinating. Soit's not just mister Partridge there that's missing
a dog, A lot of dogs. I don't know what's typical, but
I went through weeks of newspaper lostand found items and just an awful lot

(23:37):
of dogs seemed an inordinate amount. And it's not a very huge place,
no pleasant at all. We're nottalking we're not talking to New York City
here. It's much smaller community. Now, biologists at the time thought this
was a sand hill crane which peoplewere seeing, and apparently it was not
a normal bird be seen in thisarea, but it could have come off

(24:02):
its migration routes, and the sandhill crane could be the height of a
man, had about a seven footwingspan, and it had a red coloring
around the eyes. So yeah, biologist exploit. Yeah, well, I
see sand hill cranes in Florida allthe time. I've yet to see one
that looks like a seven foot mothman. Well, well, and that's what

(24:25):
when I looked at pictures. I'venever seen one in person. But the
pictures don't look miss like you'd misstake. No, they look like birds.
And I've never had one chase mycar. You know. They're just big,
noisy birds. You can't mistake themfor anything else. And some also

(24:47):
have claimed it was owls, agiant owl. Oh, yes, people
have mistaken and of course the herons. But so the local press, of
course, coins are very very popular. Name that has stuck to this day,
and that is they called it themothman. So the term mothman comes
from the press who was writing aboutthis, and to this day, if

(25:08):
you go to Point Pleasant. Theyhave the Mothman Museum, which is you
know, it's pretty cool. It'sgot a lot of stuff and there it's
fun. Yeah, yeah, youknow it's They have a Mothman Festival,
which I have not been to,but that seems like probably a lot of
fun. Yeah. The statue issuper cool. Yes, there's out the
street. Yes, yep, Ihad to. I had to pose for

(25:29):
a few pictures in front of it, of course, didn't we all.
And I think the festival festival wouldbe fun to go to, just like
the Pine Boots Festival. It beit's a fun probably event. It looks
like a great time. But maybesomeday. But now here's where the Mothman
story takes a really interesting turn.December fifteenth, nineteen sixty seven, so
actually the anniversary date. You know, we're recording this in December eleventh,

(25:52):
just for context that we're very closeto the anniversary here as we talk about
it. But there's a bridge calledthe Point Pleasant Bridge, which connected the
town of Gallipolis, Ohio to PointPleasant, spanning the Ohio River. The
locals had called it the Silver Bridgebecause of the bright aluminum silver color of
the bridge. And this bridge hasbeen around for some time. It was

(26:15):
not a new bridge. It wasa one thousand, seven hundred and sixty
foot eyebar suspension bridge sitting one hundredand two feet above the river. So
this was the main crossing and onDecember fifteenth, nineteen sixty seven, in
the early evening hours before five pm, this was a busy time. You
had holiday shoppers and traffic. Youhad the commuters coming home from work.

(26:38):
The estimates of vehicle traffic on thatbridge daily was up to four thousand vehicles
a day, twenty percent of whichwere trucks. So this is a major,
you know, artery in terms ofconnecting the two communities. Well,
at five pm, people report hearingblosion like a gunshot sound. Suddenly the

(27:03):
bridge collapsed, as described by witnesseslike a deck of cards. It folded
and a sixty foot span of thebridge within twenty seconds had fallen into the
river, taking with it thirty twocars and forty six lives. All but

(27:23):
two bodies were recovered. So twoof the bodies that were washed into the
off of the bridge and into thewater that night were never recovered, which
is just an extra sad element tothat. Now the bridge had been inspected
that summer twice and in fact,on December sixth of that year, had
a final inspection with an engineer visitingthe site. Yeah, well they missed

(27:48):
something, didn't they. Yeah. And now what was concluded years later,
after very exhaustive analysis was, andI I'll summarize the this is how much
of a detail they came up with. It was a cleavage fracture in a
lower limb of an eye of eyebarthree hundred and thirty at joint C one
three ncaused by forty years of stress, corrosion and fatigue. The flaw itself

(28:14):
was a crack of about two pointfive millimeters that led to this. So,
of course, you know, abridge, any type of a major
catastrophe like this leads to change.Old bridges suddenly were being you know,
reinspected and either replaced brought up thecode. But the Mothman incident became viewed
as the sort of harbringer of theSilver Bridge collapse because the encounters with Mothman

(28:41):
stopped with the bridge collapse. Andwasn't he supposedly seen on the bridge before
the collapse. There were there werestories about that, but I couldn't verify
yeah, where they came from them. So but yeah, so over one
hundred witnesses reported seeing the Mothman.Of course, you know, skeptics and
others thought this was an owl, this was the crane we talked about a

(29:03):
heron. But an investigative journalist andUS Army that named John Keel wanted to
investigate this for himself. And JohnKeel went down there and spent months with
a reporter following up leads and investigatingand talking to witnesses, and he wrote
The Mothman Prophecies, a book abouthis experiences his investigation, and if people

(29:32):
haven't read any of John Keel's work, I highly recommend it. I mean,
the whole term men in black wascoined by John Keel. You know,
that's a term he came up with. So that's the origin of that.
And what he noted in nineteen sixtyseven John Keel about the the Mothman
was that there was a significant overlapbetween psychic phenomenon and UFO encounters. And

(29:57):
John Keel is a big proponent atthe time of extraterrestrial theory, being that
you know, UFOs and things werecoming from outside of the Earth. These
were alien visitors but his investigation ultimatelyled him to other conclusions and that and
I'm going to sort of summarize this. It's that objects and apparitions that were

(30:19):
being encountered didn't originate from other planets, that they were actually may not exist
as permanent constructions of matter at all, and that they may have been basically
we were seeing what we want tosee based upon our own belief systems.
These were ultra terrestrials as the termhe ended up going with, sort of

(30:42):
an interdimensional component. Later, JayAllen Heinek would be a supporter of this
theory of ultraterrestrials and that essentially UFOsMothman. You know, all of these
odd encounters were all just our owninterpretation of similar phenomena, and you can

(31:02):
make of it what you will. For that, I find it an interesting
hypothesis or theory. And you know, the Mothman's not the only West Virginia
creature. I know we're going totalk about that on another episode. But
yes, yeah, kind of similar. Yeah, yeah, So do you
put this in the cryptid alien harbingerof doom or trying to warn people?

(31:23):
Category? So you know, JohnKill would have put it in a kind
of a mixture of all of them, I think, because he did think
that the Mothman was a warning ofthis impending disaster. I personally don't know
what to make of it. Itend to lean towards this ultra terrestrial theory

(31:45):
as being somewhat maybe maybe plausible undera lot of conditions, because it does
explain, you know, perhaps notall UFO sightings are attributed to extraterrestrials.
Maybe they all are not from anotherplanet, another civilization, you know,
maybe there are multiple explanations. Theone thing I'm certain of is it wasn't

(32:07):
a sandhill crane. No. That'sand I go back to people were seeing
things. They were definitely seeing somethingthat was not a crane, that wasn't
a giant owl. You know, people were seeing things that they were reporting
to the police that this is whatthey saw. Yeah, and luring a
time in a very conservative community wheretalking about stuff like this would get you

(32:30):
labeled a lunatic. So they hadto be genuinely scared to talk about it,
Especially again the nineteen sixties. Thisis not a time where people ran
around, you know, publicly boastingabout their ufone counters. No, no,
no one wanted to do that.So any of our listeners, if

(32:51):
you ever get a chance, godown to Point Pleasant. It's actually a
really cool little town. It's gota giant floodwall around it, which I
thought was the most next to themoff Man, the coolest thing. You
know. They can actually put awooden boards up across the gate and block
the town off from a flood, and I thought that was next to the
moth Man. I mean, Iasked them, old timer on the porch,
I'm like, what is this for? He goes, oh, so

(33:12):
when the river's gonna flood, theyhave boards. They can put them in
the slots and block the town off. So very cool. Get down there.
You can go to the Silver Bridge. Has a little bit of a
memorial there where the bridge once stood, and I think it's important. I
went there to make sure I paidmy respect to those who who did lose
their lives there, because these werepeople, and you know, it's a

(33:34):
couple of weeks before Christmas to havesomething like this happened. So get down
there, go to the Mothman.Folks may go to the museum and buy
some Mothman cola, and yes,go out to those TNT bunkers. They're
they're cool. Creepy. They arecreepy for sure. I recommend it though,
Yeah, yeah, we like creepy. So let us shift gears completely

(34:00):
and go to the other side ofthe world. For the Haitachi region of
Japan February twenty second, eighteen ohthree, this is known as the Otsuru
Bune case. That atsuru Bune meanshollow boat. So a group of fishermen
see a boat. It's about tenfeet they call it a boat. It's

(34:23):
floating on the water. It's aboutten feet high, about eighteen feet wide.
They describe it as being like anincense burner, which is like arounded.
You can go and look up.There where manuscripts about this. What
it looks like is a classic flyingsaucer with a copper bottom, the bottom

(34:45):
of it copper. Okay, Soit's a top and bottom and it's an
enclosed thing, glass windows. Sothey pull it ashore, they open it.
They see this strange writing on thewall. It's in an unknown language.
They even get into the detail thatthere was three point six liters of
water on board, some meat, and some type of bread. So this

(35:09):
is like, you know, thisis not your typical fishermen. They're taking
and accurate. There also happens tobe a beautiful woman, but she's definitely
not Japanese. She looks to beabout eighteen to twenty years old, red
eyebrows, red hair, with somesort of white fabric hair extensions. She's

(35:34):
wearing long clothes of an unknown material. She's about five feet tall, very
pale skin, and she's holding abox that's about nine inches square, and
she was adamant. She wouldn't letanyone touch the box. Nobody could get
near the box. Okay, theytry to talk to her. She speaks

(35:58):
an unknown language. So what dothe people think? What do we do?
Who is this strange woman? Sopeople think she might be a queen
of a foreign land who was outcastfor adultery and her lover's head was in
the box. Really this is yourgo to explanation. That was quite the

(36:22):
quite the random explanation that come upwith from that. Yeah, I don't
even know where to go with that. But the bottom line is the people
are all very scared because this probablyisn't a good thing. This you know,
woman who doesn't look like them, she doesn't talk like them. She's

(36:42):
in this bizarre craft. So theyput her back in her craft and push
her back out to see and that'sthat's the end of this mysterious female.
So in recent years a researcher bythe name of Tanaka thought this was all
nonsense. So he thought they couldhave been embellishing the account of a Russian

(37:08):
whaling ship that had been shipwrecked. What how many redheaded women are on Russian
whaling ships and a whaling ship israther large because you have to put whales
on it. I'm sure what's worse, the adulterous queen being expelled with a

(37:31):
head in a box or the whalingship. I mean they're both sort of
to me, like, really,I know. Well, Tanaka looks into
it and he finally realizes he foundfinds eleven original documents from the early eighteen
hundreds discussing this account. You canlook it up. You see illustrations of

(37:52):
the craft. It is not atypical sailing vessel. It is an enclosed
craft with a metallic copper bottom atthe very least. So you know,
what are we looking at here? We're looking at a human, a human
looking alien or is it a Russianwhaler? This is for you to decide.

(38:13):
You could see that the pictures, the contemporary drawings of it look nothing
like a ship at all, awhaling ship or any any boat, any
boat you know covered like that whatboats were covered, you know, and
disc shaped and they said copper claddingon the bottom. So it's metallic,

(38:35):
saucer shaped, strange woman, strangelanguage, strange material. Yeah, I
don't know what to I don't knowwhat to make of that one either,
So that was just a quickie, little uh, throw a little Japanese monkey
wrench into uh, you know, not all aliens may look like Mothman.

(39:01):
But so the last one, we'regoing to Poland. Now have you ever
been to emilsin Poland? E MI lcin. They have, But my
goal is to get the Poland nextyear or the year after. Okay,
well you're going to have to lookbecause they have a UFO monument there which

(39:22):
I'll get to at the end ofthis. So there's a lot of material
on this case, but it's allin Polish and I can't understand it.
There's videos, there's interviews, extensiveinterviews with the primary witness, but I
can't understand it. So what's availablein English is that on May tenth,

(39:45):
nineteen seventy eight, seventy one yearold jen Jan Wolski, who they described
as being a peasant, that's theirwords, not mine, was driving a
horse drawn wagon through a wooden areaand there on the side of the road
are two short, green faced humanoidentities five feet tall, green face,

(40:14):
webbed fingers, and wearing black, tight fitting hood and an outfit kind of
like overalls. And he said theyhad slanted eyes and very prominent cheekbones.
So obviously Yan didn't get around muchbecause he thought they must be foreigners.

(40:34):
I love that detail, Yeah, but maybe a little the green skin part
was not a clue here. Imean a well, you know, you're
living in communist poland you don't getout much, you know, so they're
probably a little more foreign than hethought. So yeah, these creatures then

(40:59):
jump on to his cart and starttalking to him in some strange foreign language.
And this is a quote from him. They were talking to me in
thin voices. Unknown to me.I didn't understand any of it. I
drove out from behind these bushes andthere's this, well, some small car

(41:21):
hovering in the air. Now thatmade me wonder that a car can hang
in the air and float up anddown a meter or so. That's what
made him wonder. So what he'sseeing is a craft about fifteen feet above
the ground illustrations. It almost lookslike a white tent, but made out

(41:45):
of a hard material as long asa bus. And this is very bizarre.
At each corner of this tent likecraft, there were four screwlike holes
like the curve of like giant drillbits that seem to be holding it up
and in place. And the wholething is humming and moving up and down.

(42:08):
There's a small platform on the groundwith four posts. It was a
little elevator, so they motion himtoward the craft. He steps on the
platform and it rises him up tothis open doorway. He goes in.
He sees there's four other green forigners. There are eight small benches along the

(42:31):
walls, and he notices on thefloor this is an interesting thing. Birds
kind of like ravens. They weremoving their legs and wings a little,
but they seemed unable to get away. So whatever these forigners were, they
captured some birds too, So Idon't know if he was drugged or what,

(42:55):
but they motioned for him to undressso he does, I don't know,
just dropping trousers because a green guywith webbed fingers wants you to is
a I know, this sounds silly. We'll get through this together. So
they examine him with two objects thatlook like plates or small symbols like they

(43:20):
have, like you know, theway you wear symbols and you smack them
together. This seems to be howthey're they're whatever examining him, and then
they gesture him for to put hisclothes back on, so, you know,
abducting humans and examining them as hardwork. So they start eating something
that I translations. Either it lookedlike honey or icicles, so I don't

(43:49):
know which it was. And heat least wisely declined to eat this strange
food. And as he's about toget back on the elevator, he nods
and tips his head and they nodback to him. So they're all very
polite. This was, you know, not an abduction, an invitation.
So yes, so he goes downthe elevator, gets back on his cart,

(44:12):
goes home, tells his family comesee the floating object. So his
family and neighbors come. They gothere. The craft, of course is
gone, but the grass, theysaid, was trodden down, covered in
dew, and paths in all directionand footprints, so something had been there

(44:35):
and people had walked all around.Supposedly, a local boy said he saw
the same craft hovering over a barn, but it looks like the local ufologist,
a man by the name of ZadisloffBlondin, manipulated this boy's testimony to

(44:58):
say it. At the very least, this Blondin really pushed the case and
profited a lot articles, interviews,a book, so critics say, well,
this guy had been this old guyhad been drugged. It was a

(45:19):
complete hoax because this other he wasBlonin was having a feud with this other
ufologist, and the ufologist knew howto hypnotize people, so he hypnotized Wallski.
I mean it. The explanations seemedto get sillier than the story,

(45:43):
but whatever it was. In twothousand and five, the town erected monument
to this. It's like a largemonolith with a metallic cube on top,
and the inscription reads. On Maytenth, nineteen seventy eight, in Emilsen,
a UFO object landed the truth willsurprise us in the future. Whatever

(46:08):
that means so you have someplace tovisit when you go to Poland. So
hoax foreigners, aliens just I don'tknow, the majority of people seem to
think somehow it's a hoax. Butthe guy never changed his story, and

(46:30):
you can see even if you don'tspeak Polish, you can see his interview
and he believes in what he saw. I don't, I don't know.
And you know you mentioned to thesounds like a lesson scrupulous ufologist got involved,
And yeah, I think that's beenpart of the negative, you know,

(46:54):
overshadowing of the whole field, isthat the people out there doing good
work and hard work are always overshadowedby those who are not in it for
the right reasons. They're in itfor the money, the glory of the
fame, whatever it is, andthen they use those people with a you
know, broad strokes to paint usall in the same vein, which is

(47:15):
unfortunate. Yeah, and yeah, yeah, to this day, those who
need to make money off this topicare yeah, less than I don't know
what word to use, not alwayshonest. And a lot of people,

(47:36):
as we see, will do andsay anything for money, so they will
and to be on TV or tomake make a movie whatever it is.
Documentary, yeah, yeah, it'sunfortunate. So who knows, who knows.
But when you're in Poland, you'llhave to talk to the locals,
see the monument and then report backto us. So I will I may
have to do it on the groundinterview from that. That's right. It

(47:59):
looks the monument looks really cool,by the way it is. It looks
really cool, very neat monument. So that's it for our bizarre entities for
now, but more to come inpart two in our next episode, so
take us out. So thank youeverybody listening here and far close wherever you
may be on this planet, anotherplanet, or perhaps another dimension, but

(48:22):
we do thank you and appreciate yourcontinued patronage of the program, and make
sure you tune in the part two. Hudson River Radio dot com. Your
