El juicio de Nuremberg no podría haberse desarrollado sin ellos: hablamos del grupo de intérpretes que fue traduciendo los testimonios, las acusaciones, las sentencias al inglés, al francés, al alemán y al ruso. Fue la primera vez que se utilizó de forma oficial el sistema de interpretación simultánea, posible gracias a los avances técnicos de la época, con el objetivo de garantizar los derechos de los acusados. Aquel equipo pionero no tenía formación, solo voluntad, y su trabajo sentó las bases de un oficio que se ha demostrado clave para la diplomacia internacional.
