Introduction.
If there is one thing the chatters can say about Lisa Tamati from New Plymoth is that she is relentless.
Her story to save her mother and Father from medical negativity and can we say ignorance is heart wrenching at first but inspirational without a doubt.
Lisa is a researcher, she should have an honorary PhD. Her knowledge goes far beyond many health professionals, and she is tenacious in learning what she needs to learn in order to help herself, her family and her clients.
Lisa believes that we need to take hold of our own health even when the medical establishment says there is no hope. She finds hope, then she finds the specialists, then she interviews them on her website then she gets to work to make changes.
This is one incredible podcast and you will note that the chatters were quiet through Lisa’s incredible story and journey. This is one not to miss
Quotes I didn’t have a medical background but I warted to learn and not be told NO. Where there’s a will there’s a way. I always ask what else is there? What else don’t they know? It is not a magic bullet or one pill fixes all. It requires a lot of effort to come to the edge. The medical system is flawed it is very reactive, not preventative, it’s about the dollars. Medical knowledge is doubling every 72 days, we cannot keep up. If you give the reins to someone else you may be sorely disappointed. The biggest learning in my running was not the trophies or medals but to fight and take one more step. I’m doing what I can with what I have. I seek all I can learn. Every day is a learning day. There’s nothing more important than your health. What is going to serve me and my genetics best? I am fitter, stronger and healthier than I have ever been before. Muscle is the currency for longevity. When you set your mind to something that’s where you’ll settle. When I lost my dad I felt I had really failed him. I am humbled by the people I learn from, but I’m a generalist.
