Speaker 1 (00:01):
Good morning, m Good morning by a new lesson of
the day of a course of miracles. I'm not a body.
I'm free for I'm still as God created me. So
(00:25):
before we start with everything, maybe we should just take
a moment and really dive into.
Speaker 2 (00:33):
This part.
Speaker 1 (00:36):
I'm not a body, I'm free for I'm still as
God created me. Like the freedom that we long for
is not the freedom that can be expressed in words
or found in the communication with bodies, let alone being
(00:59):
able to communicate with bodies. But still we talk about
what we cannot talk about to broaden our own perspective
to the awareness that freedom is here and freedom is now.
(01:23):
So I'm not a body does not mean that I'm
something else. I'm not a body really sets us apart,
set apart in the in the in the meaning of
(01:45):
being holy, like we've been set apart. We're not from here.
Nobody is from here, and that is sometimes.
Speaker 2 (02:00):
Me forgotten.
Speaker 1 (02:01):
Like nobody is from here, but you are from the
place where you identify yourself with in the sense of
in your own beliefs. So we speak about the place
that we cannot speak about until everything else just falls
(02:21):
away and we're right smack in the middle of the
presence of God, and we're completely free. And that's the difference.
We're completely free to just follow God because we don't
(02:43):
hold on to anything else. You know, I'm not a body,
but I'm completely free to follow God. There's nothing here
that I want to hold on to that can slow
me down to enter into the presence of God, to
(03:04):
be with God, to experiencing the love of God and
the peace of God right here and right now. And
it is so easy because I am still as God
created me. Nothing that we come up with, nothing that
(03:24):
I that I let myself be distracted with, can really
change that fact. And even though it might not be
something tangible as yet for you or for me, in
my mind, it is only temporarily, the presence of God
(03:49):
will done on every single mind. The only thing that
we're really looking for is to no longer be delayed.
Where am I delaying myself in the freedom to just
be with God? Mh, I'm not a body. I'm free
(04:15):
or I'm still as God created me. Let's take a
moment and you know, sit with that for a minute,
just to be silent in our own mind and let
that be however that comes to you, whatever that means
to you, let it change.
Speaker 2 (04:36):
Let it broaden, let it open up.
Speaker 1 (04:42):
So I'm gonna I'm gonna play a little song and
try not to get distracted by what freedom really means.
But just go with the flow, the natural flow that
the mind wants to go to, that is right here
and right now, and it broadens, is out itself out
into non form.
Speaker 2 (05:03):
It is.
Speaker 1 (05:04):
It is not here, it is here, It is completely here.
There's nothing left outside of that. Yeah, let's take a
few minutes.
Speaker 2 (05:20):
And the two Yeah, to just be quiet.
Speaker 1 (05:28):
Let those words speak to us in a language not
familiar to the world, but also recognizable. The memory of
God comes back. I'm not a body. I'm free for.
I'm still as God created me.
Speaker 3 (07:15):
Back bag.
Speaker 1 (07:30):
Brue, Well, I'm not a body. I'm free for I'm
(09:27):
still as God created me all things, all things, that's
the wrong one. Love is the way I walk in gratitude.
Love is the way I walk in gratitude. The Holy
(09:47):
Spirit is my only guide. He walks with me in love,
and I give thanks to Him for showing me the
way to go. I'm not a body. I'm free for
I'm still as God created. Like, what is love if
it is not always through and everywhere through and I
(10:13):
can clearly see that the presence of love can only
be experienced here and now if it is accompanied by gratitude,
like the idea that I can, in any given moment
(10:38):
just be grateful, and that completely changes the equation, It
completely changes the environment that I think I'm in. And
it's been said so many times already, but it's a
good reminder again that, you know, let me know that
(11:00):
it's been said. Whatever is missing, I have not brought
to it and I didn't bring to it. And that's
true for everything. But you know, what actually always is
missing whenever I'm upset or sad or.
Speaker 2 (11:20):
Not understood is gratitude. When was the last time I
was just grateful?
Speaker 1 (11:37):
And within this place of gratitude, that's where the tree
of love is really growing. It will not be understood
if it is not seen for what it really is,
and the love cannot really be grasped if I still
(12:02):
hold on to something is missing. But there is nothing missing.
The only thing that is missing is my willingness to
let everything go, let it be new, let it change.
(12:23):
And it's funny how we constantly agree on that this
world is changing and changing and changing, but that we
still have the tendency to just hold on to the same,
try to keep things as they were before. Let it change,
(12:45):
let a change, and the freedom that we're looking at,
you know, like opening it up, like being part of
the total. What is my What is my guide? Is
(13:05):
it my mind? Or is it the Holy mind? Is
it my thoughts that I constantly think about form and
time and space? Or is it guidance that I find
in this Holy mind, this Holy spirit that sees everything
(13:26):
as the same.
Speaker 2 (13:29):
And it's not that we don't.
Speaker 1 (13:32):
Move within time and space, but we immediately recognize that
there is a lesson to learn here. And let me
see that that lesson is this path of love that
is always right in front of me, and that whatever
(13:54):
upset there is must be because I forgot to be grateful,
not for the form, but for who I really am.
That I am free, that there's nothing really stopping me
to be with God every single moment. Like in the
(14:21):
being grateful, that's what it says here too, And I
give thanks to Him for showing me the way to go.
It's not that I'm grateful for all the things that
you know, forms that have been given me not that
we cannot be grateful, but you will see that that
(14:45):
is nothing consistent. There's nothing consistent in the form that
I think that I like, that, I think that I
need that I think that will change my mind.
Speaker 2 (15:01):
Or my environment my million years.
Speaker 1 (15:06):
Walter would say, if tell it, does it then or
however you pronounce that like love is the way I
walk in gratitude, and love is always the way. Love
is always justified. You know, whenever I'm upset, it is
(15:27):
because I've forgot that the only real thing that is
justified is love.
Speaker 2 (15:37):
So we're gonna train that. Now. Let's have a quick.
Speaker 1 (15:41):
Look at the introduction and see how that fits into
this whole idea of love is the way I walk
in gratitude. For this review, we take one idea today,
(16:01):
love is the way I walk in gratitude, and practice
it as often as is possible, so we can really
use it in any moment. It is completely justified to
apply it to any kind of deviation of the goal
(16:24):
that we really go for. Besides the time you give
morning and evening, which should not be less than fifteen minutes,
and of course the hourly remembrance you make throughout the day,
use the idea love is the way I walk in gratitude.
(16:48):
As often as you can between them, each of these
ideas alone will be sufficient for salvation. For letting go,
for adapting it in every single thought. Each of these
(17:11):
ideas alone would be sufficient for salvation if it were learned, truly, learned, truly.
Speaker 2 (17:19):
Like grasp the freedom that lies within it.
Speaker 1 (17:29):
Each would be enough to give release to you and
to the world from every form of bondage and invite
the memory of God to come again.
Speaker 2 (17:40):
Freedom, freedom to follow God is being released of all bondage.
Speaker 1 (17:53):
What I think that should have happened, What A think
that has to happen? And I invite the memory of
God to come again.
Speaker 2 (18:06):
With this in mind. With this in mind, the.
Speaker 1 (18:10):
Release of bondage, and to invite that memory of God
to come back. With this in mind, we started practicing
in which we carefully review the thoughts the Holy Spirit
has bestowed on us in our last twenty lessons. Each contains,
Each contains the whole curriculum if understood, practiced, accepted.
Speaker 2 (18:34):
And applied.
Speaker 1 (18:37):
Each contains the whole curriculum if understood that I understand
that this is my salvation, That I understand that I
don't have to do anything else, then, just follow the
instructions that are given me. Practiced love is the way
(19:00):
I walk in gratitude, acceptance that that love and that
change will happen in me, and apply that there is
nothing that I cannot apply the lesson to apply to
all the seeming happenings throughout the day. One is enough.
(19:22):
One idea is enough. Love is the way I walk
in gratitude. But from that one there must be no
exception made, and so we need to use them all
and let them blend as one as each contributes to
the whole. We learn that every thought we have be
(19:43):
blend into one with one intent offered to this moment
of complete freedom. These practice sessions, like our last review,
are scented round a central theme with which we start
(20:06):
and end eats lesson. It is this, I'm not a body,
I'm free for. I'm still as God created me. And
maybe we glance over that, maybe it becomes like some
kind of ritual that we just say, and you know,
that's the end of it, and that's you know, whatever
(20:30):
I mean, like, however that is.
Speaker 2 (20:32):
For you or for me.
Speaker 1 (20:36):
But I'm not a body I'm free for. I'm still
as God created me is the foundation in the corner
stone that wraps all those ideas into one intent, like
the whole intent of love is the way I walk
in gratitude is to reach that point of complete freedom
(21:00):
here and now. That's why we remind ourselves of you know, freedom,
This is what freedom is.
Speaker 2 (21:11):
You know, you don't have to think some form outside
of you.
Speaker 1 (21:19):
To be free. You have to thank God that love
is so available right here and right now. That I
was lost, but that the road has been showed to me.
This is the direction. Here you go, and it's easy,
(21:43):
and the God's memory comes to us fairly easy because
I'm still as God created me.
Speaker 2 (21:52):
I'm not outside of that. I'm still the total.
Speaker 1 (21:58):
Of all the sums, that is more. But every single
piece contains the whole within. Otherwise sin would be true.
You know, if the if every single separate part is
not a totality, then separation would be real.
Speaker 2 (22:23):
And that's not true. Like we we.
Speaker 1 (22:29):
Grab all the form and we take all the time
in all the space, and we see it as one thing,
a little mistake, too small to notice in eternity. That's
why it doesn't really matter. But the question is why
(22:53):
would we want to make more time. Why would we
want to delay the liberation that is here, now available?
What grievance is so important that I have to hold
on to it. I'm not a body, I'm free, but
(23:16):
I'm still as God created me. That's how the day
begins and that's how the day ends, and we repeat
it every time the hour strikes or when we remember
in between. We have a function that transcends the world
that we see like we really go above it, We
(23:37):
go above the battlefield, and we see that wherever you
enter into the chaos, it is still the same chaos
and that we easily can enter in because we have
that certainty now within us. Within this chaos, we are
(23:59):
still completely free to choose for God to.
Speaker 2 (24:03):
Fulfill our function. And our function is to be the
light of the world.
Speaker 1 (24:08):
Look at all the chaos, the darkness. It is waiting
for your light. It is waiting for my light. Just
sitting somewhere and doing nothing is not is not what we.
Speaker 2 (24:24):
What we want to do.
Speaker 1 (24:27):
We want to go in there because we're guided to
be in there to help our brothers to be released
from the bondage of space and time. But it requires
that I first received the message myself accepted, apply it,
(24:50):
practice and understand it. Not a body, I'm free for
I'm still as God created me. The day begins and
ends with this, and we repeat it every time the
hour strikes, or we remember in between. We have a
(25:12):
function that transcends the world we see beyond this and
the repetition of the special thought we practice for today.
Love is the way I walk in gratitude. No form
of exercise is urged except a deep relinquishment of everything
(25:35):
that clutters up the mind and makes it death the reason,
sanity and simple truth. Do you recognize that when there
is a grievance, when there is something that I really want,
a desire, how that clutters up the mind?
Speaker 2 (25:56):
For just reason? No? No, But I'm in love. I
have to do this. I know, I know. But are
you free?
Speaker 1 (26:07):
Are you bound by that desire? Like it's not that
I'm just you know, saying this to you, like this
is a very tangible thing.
Speaker 2 (26:18):
For myself? What is my desire? And do I.
Speaker 1 (26:23):
Do I really want change? Or do I'm just saying
that because it sound nice? Am I trying to hold
on to this protected area of desire because it's true
for me? So called it doesn't really mean anything, but
suddenly it's my whole world. Is that the freedom that
(26:47):
we speak about, like I'm not a body, I'm free.
We will attempt to go beyond all words and special
forms of practice for this review, For we attempt this
time to reach a quickened pace along a shorter path
(27:08):
to the serenity and peace of God. That's what we want,
serenity and peace of God.
Speaker 2 (27:15):
Is it not?
Speaker 1 (27:19):
We merely close our eyes. We merely close our eyes
and then forget all that we thought we knew and understood.
And sometimes I grab myself in the middle of the day,
I think, you know, let me just close my eyes
(27:41):
for this world and realize that I have no idea.
I have no idea. I thought I understood, but I don't.
Speaker 4 (27:52):
You know.
Speaker 2 (27:53):
That's why we come together.
Speaker 1 (27:55):
That's why we come together to get that remembrance, to
remind ourselves, you know, because we are so easily distracted
by a stream of chaotic thoughts that are so unstructured,
that goes from one thing to the next, from one
(28:16):
fulfilling desire to the next fulfilling desire or not being
able to fulfill the desire and be completely upset about that. But,
like the workbook says at the beginning, an untrained mind
can accomplish nothing. That can accomplish nothing. So let me
(28:42):
remind myself throughout the day that I have a function,
that I horver above this, that nothing can really consume
me except if I allow it to be. Why not, God,
let me be consumed completely by God. Let me do
every single step the remembrance.
Speaker 2 (29:01):
Of God and the Holy Spirit of that.
Speaker 1 (29:06):
Everything is a part of me, but there's nothing outside
of me. So when I closed my eyes for the world,
when I closed my eyes for the world, we merely
close our eyes and then forget all that we thought
we knew and understood. For thus is freedom given us
(29:30):
from all we did not know and failed to understand.
Like I was unable to understand, I just put some
boxes together and grouped them into some kind of conclusion.
But I failed to understand that there was a lesson
to learn. That I can see love instead of pain,
(29:56):
that I can see something else, something bigger. There is
but one exception to this lack of structure. Permit no
idle thought to go unchallenged.
Speaker 2 (30:15):
Any idea.
Speaker 1 (30:18):
That holds me back, anything that is not total gratitude,
gratitude to God. Don't let that go unchallenged. If you
notice one deny its wholed and hasten to assure your
(30:41):
mind that this is not what it would have, this desire,
this longing for it is not what I want. Then
gently let the thought which you deny to give up
insure and quick exchange for the idea we practice.
Speaker 2 (30:59):
For to day when we are tempted.
Speaker 1 (31:04):
When we are tempted, someone stamps on my toes, someone
pushs me over the world, tries to tell me what
I can and cannot do. I'm tempted to go in
that when I'm tempted to go into a mode of
(31:26):
but something is missing here, Yeah, something is missing here.
I know something is missing it and I have the
right to it. I put a ring on it. It
is mine, you know. Like that's always the the exchange
(31:47):
that we do with God. Yeah, like I give you something,
but I'm sure as I always want to receive something back.
It's an exchange with a result that we hope that
we're on the right side of that deal.
Speaker 2 (32:08):
That's our aim.
Speaker 1 (32:10):
But just to give without the result, that's something new
for this world. But that's where our real freedom lies,
because now suddenly I can give without limit, without protecting
the borders of that giving. When I'm tempted to start
(32:37):
some kind of exchange, let me, let me remember that
I'm sustained by the love of God and that I'm
completely grateful for that fact, and that form follows. However
(32:58):
that looks like, yeah, it is first the thought that
creates form at some level. It is the thought that
the body follows. The body doesn't have a mind of
its own and decides to just do something against you.
Speaker 2 (33:20):
Can you imagine? Love is the way I walk in gratitude.
So when we are tempted.
Speaker 1 (33:33):
To start uh in some kind of exchange, I give
you a little bit of love, and you give me
a little bit of love. And if you don't give
me love, I get mad at you. And you know
you never have to come back again. When you're tempted,
hasten to proclaim your freedom from temptation. As you say
this thought, I do not want. I choose instead. I'm
(33:56):
not a body. I'm free for I'm still as God
created me.
Speaker 2 (34:00):
Love is the.
Speaker 1 (34:01):
Way I walk in gratitude. The Holy Spirit is my
only guide. He walks with me in love, and I
give thanks to him for showing me the way to go.
I'm not a body. I'm free, for I'm still as
God created me. This thought I do not want. I
(34:25):
choose instead, love is the way I walk in gratitude.
We repeat the idea for to day, love is the
way I walk in gratitude, and let it take the
place of what I was thinking before. Beyond such special
applications of each day's idea, we will add but a
(34:47):
few formal expressions or specific thoughts to aid in practicing
the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit is my only guide.
He walks with me in love, and I give thanks
to him for showing me the way I go, the
(35:10):
way to go. The Holy Spirit is my only guide.
He walks with me in love, and I give things
to him for showing me the way to go. And
instead of filling this all in, instead of going into
temptation and making sure that I'm on the right side
(35:31):
of the deal, instead of all of that, we give
these times of quiet to the teacher who instruct in quiet,
speaks of peace, and gives our thoughts whatever meaning they
may have. So what I wanna do is I wanna
(35:57):
play a little bit of music for a second where
we're just gonna practice all of this, where we find
the way back home by just not doing anything.
Speaker 2 (36:18):
Wow, here we go and keep this in mind.
Speaker 1 (36:39):
You know, all the other thoughts are completely meaningless. The
only thought that really matters right here and right now
is love. Is the way I walk in gratitude, And
in the back of our minds we keep this other thought.
I'm not a body, I'm free for I'm still as
(37:01):
God created me. So let's take a moment, and we
give these moments to the teacher who instructs in quiet
speaks of peace, and gives our thoughts whatever meaning they
may have. Im long is the way I'm walking granite, I.
Speaker 3 (38:01):
Must spill, I must follow something to I will spollow.
It's everything you can find of the love God behind.
(38:23):
Hold it up and darkness falls. When take the memories
from your shoes, does them of fen, make them om
them up? And darkness falls?
Speaker 2 (38:44):
When when.
Speaker 3 (39:06):
Space so well he's made of.
Speaker 1 (39:14):
The world of.
Speaker 3 (39:19):
Stroll And I must fall on something, I must fuddle,
I must fall on something, I must funnel. Saverything you
(39:43):
can find on the love you've thought you that we
folded up and do my spots. Jake Mary's from you.
Sure the sun of f made o them a been
(40:07):
darkly spots.
Speaker 4 (40:15):
Del a man Love.
Speaker 3 (40:23):
Said, maginst is older than old. And I must have something.
(40:44):
I must puddle, I must all somethingture, I must funnel,
I must fuddles.
Speaker 4 (41:20):
Sounds follow the sky.
Speaker 2 (41:52):
That was the way I walk in gratitude. It is
not different.
Speaker 1 (42:00):
Then I call upon God's name and on my own.
Speaker 2 (42:07):
It is a direct.
Speaker 1 (42:10):
Idea of this is here, and now the God memory
comes back here. And now I'm not a body. I'm
free for I'm still as God created me. Love is
(42:30):
the way I walk in gratitude. The Holy Spirit is
my only guide. He walks with me in love, and
I give thanks to him for showing me the way
to go.
Speaker 2 (42:46):
I'm not a body. I'm free for I'm still as
God created me. The road will.
Speaker 1 (42:52):
Be shown to me. You know what is my inheritance
is what is mine?
Speaker 2 (43:01):
What is mine?
Speaker 1 (43:03):
Love is mine. I can claim it now. It is
my inheritance to be what I already am.
Speaker 2 (43:16):
It is so.
Speaker 1 (43:17):
Easy to him. This is Jesus speaking directly.
Speaker 2 (43:28):
To him. I offer this review for you.
Speaker 1 (43:31):
I place you in his charge and let him teach
you what to do and say and think each time
you turn to him, not when I decide or when
I let go, when I turn finally, after trying every
(43:56):
single option that I could think of, I finally give
up and I turned to him. He will not fail
to be available to you each time you call to
him to help you. And that's how the videos quite
(44:20):
often end with ask for help. You know, I forgot,
just like being grateful. I forgot, But I can just
ask for help. I can just ask for help. Yeah,
I thought I had to figure it out myself.
Speaker 2 (44:42):
You know it. It looks like I came a whole
the whole end, you know, I c I came quite
far in time, but it's still within time, and salvation
goes so far beyond all of that.
Speaker 1 (45:00):
Ask for help. Ask you cannot here. We even know
from our own experience that you cannot really help someone
that doesn't ask for help. Right, try to help someone
that doesn't ask for help, You get.
Speaker 2 (45:18):
Resistance And you know, what do you mean? I need help?
I don't need help help yourself.
Speaker 1 (45:25):
So he will not fail to be available to you
each time you call to him to help you, you know,
like it is for me. The asking is for me,
Like I really need to accept that.
Speaker 2 (45:41):
What is offered to me first, I.
Speaker 1 (45:44):
Will be unable to help anyone in any capacity if
I don't accept the idea that on my own devices,
I have no idea. And in this chaos, whereas direction,
where is guidance?
Speaker 2 (46:02):
Not here?
Speaker 1 (46:03):
In form? Don't let someone else tell you what you
can and cannot do. Go with in, Go with in
and ask for help and listen, listen in silence and
in peace, and let him who knows speak to you
in whatever form you know. I was reading that again,
(46:25):
like if you completely if you completely lost in guidance,
go with what makes you utmost happy, that spreads happiness
all around you. If you're completely lost and you don't
know what guidance you should follow, follow love, Follow what
makes you happy and completely happy, not just temporarily organs
(46:50):
some happiness, No, like complete happiness that last. That's the guidance.
If you don't hear voice, if you don't have visions,
if you don't feel what to do, then choose for
that what makes you happy and everybody around you. He
(47:15):
will not fail to be available to you each time
you call to him to help you. Let us offer
him the whole review. We now begin, and let us
also not forget to whom it has been given. As
we practice day by day, hour by hour, minute by minute,
(47:37):
moment by moment. Love is the way I walk in gratitude,
adventing towards the goal He sets for us.
Speaker 2 (47:49):
I thought I had a goal. No, he has a goal.
Speaker 1 (47:53):
I have a function here to fulfill, and my function
is solely to just let everything go except what has
been given me. Be grateful, walk in love, allowing him
to teach us how to go, and trusting him completely.
(48:17):
Trusting trust. I don't have to figure it out myself
any more. Now I can trust, trusting him completely for
the way each practice period can best become a loving
gift of freedom to the world.
Speaker 2 (48:38):
Every time when I.
