LESSON 224
God Is My Father, And He Loves His Son.

My true Identity is so secure, so lofty, sinless, glorious and great, wholly beneficent and free from guilt, that Heaven looks to It to give it light. It lights the world as well. It is the gift my Father gave to me; the one as well I give the world. There is no gift but This that can be either given or received. This is reality, and only This. This is illusion’s end. It is the truth. My Name, O Father, still is known to You. I have forgotten it, and do not know where I am going, who I am, or what it is I do. Remind me, Father, now, for I am weary of the world I see. Reveal what You would have me see instead.

Speaker 3 (04:35):
Good morning everyone. I'm gonna just turn the music down
and let it play on. I'm glad that you are
here this morning. And Eric, you're a tough act to
father like, so yeah, I'm really glad that you're here today,
and we are once again together for the purpose. And

(05:03):
it is the only true purpose that we can actually hold,
for the purpose of a true experience. As Eric uh
demonstrated yesterday, you know, we always go back to the fundamentals.

(05:23):
We have to always go back to the fundamentals, because
it is fundamental y you're so accustomed to. And maybe
I'm getting ahead of myself. So for those of you
who are listening, of course, this is the daily lesson,
the morning lesson of the work book of a course
of Miracles, and I'm glad that you are here. But

(05:44):
as you have conceived your of yourself as you think
you are, you're accustomed to believing that what you think
of everything is the way that it is. And so
you think that truth is, let's say, in the same

(06:11):
order of thought as your own ideas. And so there
what you seem to be in this idea of conflict. Right,
we say the world you see has nothing to do
with reality. It is of your own making and it
does not exist. Well, that isn't your experience, because as

(06:33):
you look around you, you are as you are, and
you think everything is as it is and that's just
the way it is. And so it seems to be
this I don't even know what word to use here,
but it seems to be some process, if you will,
that somehow you're going to arrange in your mind, uh

(06:55):
a way where everything is gonna finally make sense. That's
always the tendency, cause that's what we do. We do
in our minds. We're always trying to work it We're
trying to work it out, We're trying to reconcile all
that seems to be opposing in our own minds. So

(07:15):
as we'd reviewed yesterday and today and every day for
that matter. But as we reviewed yesterday when Eric reviewed
the introduction to the workbook, this is a systematic mind
training to a different perception of everyone and everything in

(07:37):
the world. Alright, So we just completed part one, which
was the undoing of the way you see now, that
was the goal of part one. All right. I'm not
trying to tell you anything here. It's always just a
review in my own mind. Part two is the acquisition

(08:06):
of true perception. But let's just think about this for
a second, because it is fundamental. Every idea you have
and y that you have you have accepted as true?
Is this not? So you've accepted it. You've accepted that,

(08:29):
and now that becomes your basis and you proceed from there.
What if you allowed yourself to accept Truth doesn't require
a definition, but it does require acceptance of an idea

(08:55):
not of your own making. So in the uh Journey
of the Endeavor Academy, we have an introduction in and
it was actually written by the master teacher, even though
it was signed by the administrator. But it is true
cause this is the invitation. All true learning is a

(09:20):
form of conversion or revelation. So what is the acquisition
of true perception, but true but true learning. Yes, so
it is a form of conversion or revelation. So if
it's a revelation, it's a revealing. You recognize immediately that

(09:44):
you're not bringing anything to the table. Is uh a
letting go? And this is what we're gonna get into
our lesson. And I'm apologize for being a little long
winded in this little whatever, but we're in a segment
of what is forgiveness? What is forgiveness? You think, you know,

(10:10):
you think forgiveness and this was given to us so
clearly in less than one thirty four. You know, you
think it is just a check on overt attack. It's
a it's a a balancing if you if you uh,
it's a it's a it's a bookkeeping kind of transaction.
You know, it's a check on what you believe is

(10:32):
going on you. No, forgiveness is literally forgetting. It's all memory.
It is all memory. It is all over and it
is gone. We've in every video that we watch with

(10:55):
the Master Teacher, this world was over long a go.
The thoughts that made it are no longer in your mind.
So when you really look at what has been given us,
in the mind training. Here we have given ourselves or

(11:16):
through Jesus or through the Holy Spirit, however you want
to look at it, we've given ourselves permission to let
it all go. You you know you thought this was
the way it is. No, you have been given uh

(11:39):
the means, a true means, whereby you can undergo an
experience that leaves no doubt in your mind, that converts

(12:01):
undes the false idea of yourself. That everything you thought
was true you recognize has no meaning whatsoever. And the
fact remains, as we just practice for twenty lessons, you

(12:23):
are not a body. You're not that idea that you
have of a little self. You are as God created you.
So assume that as your foundation. Assume the reality of that.

(12:44):
So with that being said, now let us just take
a few ideas from the introduction of this second part.
And we have reviewed them pretty much every day, so uh,

(13:05):
I'm not going to read through the whole thing, but
let's highlight a few of the ideas. So we do
now acknowledge that words will mean little now, kay, So
we're not depending on the words we use them, but

(13:25):
as guides on which we now do n which we
do not now depend for the for we seek direct
experience of truth alone. We seek direct experience. So as

(13:51):
we listened in the opening song, as we heard in
the opening song, you really do clear your mind of
all your meaningless ideas. You come with wholly empty hands.

(14:12):
You lay the burden down, just lay it down. Whatever.
There's no requirement whatsoever to hold on to any idea.

Speaker 5 (14:30):
None.

Speaker 3 (14:32):
You can relax, let go forgive. They're all synonymous. Relax,
let go forgive. It's the same action in your mind.
You know, if you've been accustomed to holding on so tight,

(14:52):
you think that is natural. But no, you know, through
the lessons you have been and this is metaphorically, of course,
your fingers have been slowly pried away from that tight
grip in your mind. Of whateverything is now you are

(15:13):
now free that you can receive, You can accept what
is already there. Okay. So the lessons that remain are
merely introductions to the times in which we leave the
world of pain and go to enter peace. So if

(15:37):
we really leave the world of pain, if we really
leave our meaningless thoughts behind and enter peace, we we
I would have no reason to return. And I have
to say, and I'm speaking for myself. When it's when
I am in conflict, I haven't forgotten a little, well,

(16:00):
I have forgotten entirely. Now. The great part about it
is is the distance between the forgetting and the remembering
is much shorter. So it is a mind training. You
are given the means. Here is the means, but you

(16:25):
must be willing to use them, and so remember. And
this is the key for each of us. It's always gone.
It's always gone. This world was over long ago, it's
gone now, and only you only cling to it in memory.

(16:51):
And so you let that go. It's just a memory,
it's just a thought. It's not true. You are as
God created you. Okay, So the lessons that remain are
merely introductions to the time which we leave the world
of pain and go to peace. N Now we begin

(17:14):
to reach the goal this course has set and find
the end toward which our practicing was always geared. Alright,
so let's just come down to the fourth paragraph and

(17:37):
remind ourselves once again our purpose. Now do we come
to him with but his word upon our minds and hearts,
and wait for him to take the step to us

(18:00):
that he has told us through his voice he would
not fail to take when we invited him. He has
not left his son in all his madness, nor betrayed
his trust in him. Just consider this. This is God,

(18:21):
your father, This is your source.

Speaker 5 (18:24):
This is the th th, the.

Speaker 3 (18:26):
Source of all the beeneness that you are. You know,
you like to personify God because you have personified yourself.
You believe you are a person to believed in, awe
and do and act upon others. So you think of

(18:48):
God as a person, you as like yourself. Now the
source of all reality, beanness, itself, f light. I you know,
we use words, but it is truth, the very nature

(19:09):
and fabric and fiber of you, and you as you
and everything, God, your father, your source of reality. It's interesting.
I really have to decide track a little bit. Now

(19:32):
do we come to him with his word? Remember this
is biblical and I'm just gonna go to the New Testament.
In the beginning was the Word, and the word was
God is the word was God, and the word is
with God. In the beginning was the word your nature,

(19:55):
your being, your essence. So now we come to him,
but with his word, not our own, not our own.
We don't have our own word. Our own word does

(20:19):
not exist. The definitions and the meanings and the whatevers
does not exist. And the most we'll say about it
is that we use them, recognizing they are endowed. They
are imbued with Him, with God his word. He is

(20:50):
all and all He is, God is. And then and
we cease to speak. I'm just gonna read the whole
thing again. Now do we come with to him with

(21:14):
but his word upon our minds and hearts, and wait
for him to take the step to us that he
has told us through his voice he would not fail
to take when we invited him. This is our invitation personally, individually,

(21:50):
together as one. This is the invitation to God, our father,
for him to take his step to us. He has

(22:13):
not left his son in madness. He has not left
his son in all his madness, nor betrayed his trust
in him, has not. His faithfulness has not. His faithfulness
faithfulness earned him the invitation that he seeks to make

(22:40):
us happy. We will offer it and it will be accepted.
If we offer it, it is accepted. So that's the
qu what the question is really one of, are you
while offering it, and as you offer it, you offer

(23:03):
it completely without any terms. It is accepted as you
offer it, it is accepted. There are no terms, There
are no terms, there are no conditions. As you offer

(23:26):
it is accepted. This was reflective, This is reflected in it. It
is but my gratitude I earn. As you offer it,
it is accepted. You think you can identify what is accepted,
But the fact is in your offering is the acceptance.

(23:57):
We will offer it, and it will be accepted. So
our times with him will now be spent. We say
the words of invitation that his voice suggests, and then
we wait for him to come to us. Now is

(24:18):
the time of prophecy fulfilled. Now are all ancient promises
upheld and fully kept. No step remains for time to
speak from its to us. I can't read. No step

(24:39):
remains for time to separate from its accomplishment. For now
we cannot fail. For now we cannot fail. Sit silently
and wait upon your father. He has willed to come.

(25:00):
When you have recognized it is your will, he do so.
And you could never come this far unless you saw,
however dimly, that it is your will. I am so

(25:23):
close to you, we cannot fail. Father. We give these
holy times to you, ingratitude to him who taught us
how to leave the world of sorrow in exchange for
its replacement given us by you. We look not backward

(25:44):
now we look ahead and fix our eyes upon the
journey's end. Accept these little gifts of thanks from us,
as through Christ's vision we behold a world beyond the
one we made, and take that world to be the
full replacement of our own. And now we wait in silence,

(26:12):
unafraid and certain of your coming. We have sought to
find our way by following the guide you sent to us.
We did not know the way, but you did not
forget us, and we know that you will not forget us.

(26:33):
Now we ask but that your ancient promises be kept,
which are your will to keep. We will with you
in asking this. The Father and the Son, whose holy

(26:55):
will created all that is, can fail in nothing. In
this certainty, we undertake these last few steps to you
and rest in confidence upon your love, which will not fail.

(27:18):
The sun who calls to you, Wow. Just consider that
is guaranteed by God, by virtue of Him, by reason
of your source. My words are not that great, but

(27:43):
it is this idea. He is here. He is your source.
It is your complete and total, unqualify dependence on him

(28:05):
right now, right now, we're not worried about later. Now,
let it be, Let it be, Let it be alright.
So I'm just going to leave the introduction there, and

(28:27):
we're going to review our special idea. What is forgiveness?
What is forgiveness? But let's just take a minute first,
and I'm gonna play a song. A sc.

Speaker 7 (29:12):
Begins to fall.

Speaker 3 (29:16):
The gold below me.

Speaker 2 (29:20):
He is older than.

Speaker 5 (29:24):
I must follow something new.

Speaker 2 (29:29):
I must spill.

Speaker 5 (29:33):
I must follow something to I must follow.

Speaker 4 (29:42):
It's everything you can find or the love God let me.

Speaker 5 (29:50):
I owned a bend spos way.

Speaker 3 (29:59):
Day.

Speaker 4 (30:00):
The memories from your shoes, does them up and make
them own them up? And diness falls when won them up,
and love when the space of quary. He's made of

(30:42):
the world of nothing. He's growing fame And I must
fall something I must follow. I'm a fall of something

(31:04):
I must funnel. It's everything you can find on the
dot that hooted up in dark mass sports. Take the

(31:26):
berries from your shoes, the stem of men made them,
won them up in darkness sports, dem a man love.

Speaker 2 (31:51):
Sad megainst is older.

Speaker 4 (32:07):
And I must fule something I must fuddle, I must
follow something ure, I must fuddle. I must follow my

(32:30):
best father. I must fall, I must follow, I must falls,

(32:51):
I must follow.

Speaker 2 (32:56):
The sky.

Speaker 3 (33:12):
Thank you so much. What is forgiveness? Forgiveness recognizes what
you thought your brother did to you has not occurred.
It does not pardon sins and make them real. It
sees there was no sin, and in that view, are

(33:36):
all your sins forgiven. What is sin? Accept a false
idea about God's son. I'm just going to pause there
for a second. Just consider that what is sin? All
your sins are forgiven. If you recognize the sin is

(34:01):
but a false idea about God's son, It's false. It
has no existence. It's an idea, but it has no existence.
Forgiveness merely sees it falsity, and therefore lets it go.

(34:28):
What then is free to take his place is now
the will of God. An unforgiving thought is one which
makes a judgment that it will not raise to doubt
although it is not true. The mind is closed and

(34:51):
will not be released. The thought protects projection. Tightening is
changed so that distortions are more veiled and more obscure,
less easily accessible to doubt, and further kept from reason.
What can come between a fixed projection and the aim

(35:15):
that it has chosen as its wonted goal. An unforgiving
thought does many things in frantic action. It pursues its goal,
twisting and overturning what it sees as interfering with its

(35:40):
chosen path. Distortion is its purpose and the means by
which it would accomplish it. As well. It sets about
its furious attempts to smash reality without concern for anything
that it would appear to pose a contradiction to its

(36:00):
point of view. This is there's no better description of
the idea that there are no idle thoughts, There are
no neutral thoughts. No, there's no such thing as a
neutral thought. Every thought you have either is an unforgiving
thought or an extension of the love of God, period.

(36:26):
So there is no such thing as an idle thoughts.
So trying to render your mind impotent, as though your
thoughts could be without power doesn't work. He covers us
so well in the early part of the text. So
you want to believe that you can think thoughts and
they have no you know, I can. I can hold
on to the thought and think about it, you know,

(36:49):
because but it's my private thought, and it's not no
it does precisely what was us right here. In action,
it pursues its goal twisting and overturning what it sees
as interfering with its chosen path. It is an attempt

(37:14):
to demonstrate a reality separate from everything. Period. There's no
guilt inness. Understand this, please, It's not about right and wrong,
good or bad. This is not about guilt. You're not

(37:35):
guilty of anything like. We have to accept this idea
that it has nothing to do with guilt, because what
could be guilty does not exist. God does not judge.

(37:58):
You're dreaming is a nightmare. So mistakes are shown to
be mistakes. Stakes. Mistakes are correct in in the realization
there is simply mistakes, a false idea, false, not true,

(38:22):
no existence, period. So let it go now the foil
of God is free to take its place. It's funny,
really is funny how the human condition depends on fear

(38:48):
and guilt for its apparent safety. Think about it. Think
about how much you depend on fear to feel safe,
which you possibly feel safe in fear. It doesn't make
any sense. Guilt and fear are hand in hand. Guilt

(39:16):
is nothing but the idea or the belief that you
have rendered God's creation different than it is. That is impossible.
We call it the usurpation of the power of God.

(39:37):
That is impossible. It cannot be accomplished, And yet in
madness you believe you accomplished it. So like he says,
peace to such foolishness, Peace to such foolishness. Forgiveness, now listen,

(40:00):
this is forgiveness. This is open for you. Now. Forgiveness,
on the other hand, is still and quietly does nothing.
It offends no aspect of reality, nor seeks to twist
it to appearances. It likes. It merely looks and waits

(40:29):
and judges. Not he who would not forgive must judge,
for he must justify his failure to forgive. But he
who would forgive himself must learn to welcome truth exactly

(40:54):
as it is. I think in this section in the
manual for teacher, where he talks about I think it
is a section I could be wrong about this. How
is judgment relinquished? And he says, you are always the
loss of peace or or experience of anger is You're

(41:14):
always responding to an interpretation, not the truth. Remember, it
says here. Forgiveness, on the other hand, is still and
quietly does nothing. It offends no aspect of reality. It
does not interpret, It does not try to figure it out.

(41:36):
It does not try to make sense out of what
is senseless. Okay, so I'm just gonna read the last
two sentences again. He who would not forgive must judge,
for he must justify his failure to forgive. But he

(41:57):
who would forgive himself must learn to welcome truth exactly
as it is. Do nothing, then, and let forgiveness show
you what to do. Through him who is your God,
your savior and protector, strong in hope, and certain of

(42:21):
your ultimate success, he has forgiven you already, for such
is his function given him by God. Now must you
share his function and forgive whom he has saved, whose
sinlessness he sees, and whom he honors as the son

(42:44):
of God. So let us go to our prayer for today,
and then what we will do is uh read the prayer.
I'm gonna say all my closings. Now, will read the prayer,
and then just go to silence and be in silence,

(43:08):
and then we will engage the master teacher. With less
than two hundred There is no peace except the peace
of God. We all be in peace as we forgive

(43:30):
and spend this moment and all our moments, and awareness
of what is real, always always and in always. God

(43:51):
is my father, and he loves his son. My true
idea is so secure, so lofty, sinless, glorious and great, holy, beneficent,

(44:11):
and free from guilt, that Heaven looks to it to
give it light. It lights the world as well. It
is the gift my father gave to me, and the
one as well I give the world. There is no
gift but this that can be either given or received.

(44:35):
This is reality and only this. This is illusion's end.
It is the truth. My name, O, Father, is still
known to you. I have forgotten it and do not
know where I am going, who I am, or what
it is. I do remind me, Father, now, for I

(44:59):
am weary of the world. I see reveal what you
would have me see instead. So I'm going to read
it once more. God is my father, and he loves
his son. My true identity is so secure, so lofty, sinless,

(45:21):
glorious and great, holy, beneficent, and free from guilt, that
Heaven looks to it to give it light. It lies
the world as well. It is the gift my father
gave to me, and the one as well. I give
the world. There is no gift but this that can
be either given or received. This is reality and only this.

(45:48):
This is illusion's end. It is the truth. My name, O, Father,
still is known to you. I have forgotten it and
do not know where I am going, who I am,
or what it is I do. Remind me, Father, now,

(46:11):
for I am weary of the world. I see reveal
what you would have me see instead.

Speaker 5 (48:04):
It's the thing.

Speaker 4 (49:00):
Mu and doesn't do.

Speaker 3 (51:35):
Do do do?

Speaker 5 (51:42):
Don't do.

Speaker 7 (51:50):
The brother, the brother, broh, the brother.

Speaker 3 (52:52):
Just be calm.

Speaker 8 (52:58):
Let's going on to the song of heaven. What's going on?
Perhaps you can hear what's going on? Listen to the
song of heaven. What's going.

Speaker 9 (53:20):
Oh, all hearts are drink well, all longing satisfied.

Speaker 6 (53:45):
There is no sorrow. The joy of heaven has come.
Love no longer fee but glad badly welcomed him.

Speaker 1 (54:06):
And every living thing. Father. Now we sing.

Speaker 3 (54:12):

Speaker 5 (54:28):
It's we are lifted up, lifted up.

Speaker 1 (54:34):
No spot of darkness still to hide the.

Speaker 3 (54:37):

Speaker 5 (54:39):
We are lifted up, lifted up. Love no longer fee.

Speaker 4 (54:51):
Goodly welcomed, and every living thing.

Speaker 3 (55:00):
Mother, Now we see.

Speaker 1 (55:05):
You, your grandma, my grandma, sitting by the fire, your grandma,
my grandma.

Speaker 3 (55:26):
What's going on?

Speaker 5 (55:28):
Jealous? Long what's going on?

Speaker 1 (55:35):
Perhaps you can hear.

Speaker 9 (55:38):
All hearts a tranquil, a longing satisfied.

Speaker 1 (55:49):
There is no sorrow.

Speaker 5 (55:52):
The joy of Heaven has come.

Speaker 3 (55:58):
Love no longer fee but glad. You're welcome then.

Speaker 1 (56:10):
And every living thing.

Speaker 5 (56:13):
Father, Now we sing.

Speaker 3 (56:18):
You, We sing, no of you, we sing.

Speaker 7 (56:33):
Listen of you.

Speaker 3 (56:40):
In the song of heaven sounds around.

Speaker 1 (56:43):
Song of Heaven's songs around lifted.

Speaker 4 (56:47):
Our songs are lifted, no songs of Heaven's.

Speaker 5 (56:52):
Sounds, A rather song of ever sounds. As we are lift,
our sounds are Relieve. Didi did.

Speaker 4 (57:13):
Live.

Speaker 1 (57:43):
Finally we stand.

Speaker 4 (57:48):
Finally we said, however, lasting things.

Speaker 10 (58:20):
You have been listening to voice from Heaven live in
the Miracles Healing Center. Remember that God's voice speaks to
you all through the day. That God goes with you
wherever you go, and that God is the mind with
which you think.

Speaker 3 (58:37):
God blesses everyone
