What is Salvation?

Salvation is a promise, made by God, that you would find your way to Him at last. It cannot but be kept. It guarantees that time will have an end, and all the thoughts that have been born in time will end as well. God’s Word is given every mind which thinks that it has separate thoughts, and will replace these thoughts of conflict with the Thought of peace. The Thought of peace was given to God’s Son the instant that his mind had thought of war. There was no need for such a Thought before, for peace was given without opposite, and merely was. But when the mind is split there is a need of healing. So the Thought that has the power to heal the split became a part of every fragment of the mind that still was one, but failed to recognize its oneness. Now it did not know itself, and thought its own Identity was lost.Salvation is undoing in the sense that it does nothing, failing to support the world of dreams and malice. Thus it lets illusions go. By not supporting them, it merely lets them quietly go down to dust. And what they hid is now revealed; an altar to the holy Name of God whereon His Word is written, with the gifts of your forgiveness laid before it, and the memory of God not far behind.Let us come daily to this holy place, and spend a while together. Here we share our final dream. It is a dream in which there is no sorrow, for it holds a hint of all the glory given us by God. The grass is pushing through the soil, the trees are budding now, and birds have come to live within their branches. Earth is being born again in new perspective. Night has gone, and we have come together in the light. From here we give salvation to the world, for it is here salvation was received. The song of our rejoicing is the call to all the world that freedom is returned, that time is almost over, and God’s Son has but an instant more to wait until his Father is remembered, dreams are done, eternity has shined away the world, and only Heaven now exists at all.

LESSON 231
Father, I Will But To Remember You.

What can I seek for, Father, but Your Love? Perhaps I think I seek for something else; a something I have called by many names. Yet is Your Love the only thing I seek, or ever sought. For there is nothing else that I could ever really want to find. Let me remember You. What else could I desire but the truth about myself? This is your will, my brother. And you share this will with me, and with the One as well Who is our Father. To remember Him is Heaven. This we seek. And only this is what it will be given us to find.

Speaker 1 (00:28):
S yeah, yeah, so steam scene.

Speaker 2 (02:54):
So sh hmmm mm hmmm.

Speaker 3 (03:48):
Good morning, and welcome to the daily lesson of the
workbook of a Course of Miracles. And as always, I
just really am glad that everybody is here and those
who are tuned in as well. And we opened with
that beautiful song by Mozart, and my Latin is not great,
but I believe is pronounced lau date dominum, which.

Speaker 4 (04:12):
I'm going to read the English.

Speaker 3 (04:13):
Translation of that, because fundamentally that's exactly what our order
of business is as we gather together to do I
I we use the word do as though we're actually

(04:33):
doing something, but to accept what has given us.

Speaker 4 (04:37):
In our lesson for today.

Speaker 3 (04:40):
And so the translation of the song, and I'm just
getting this off the internet so.

Speaker 4 (04:47):
Is Praise the Lord. Praise the Lord.

Speaker 3 (04:51):
Praise the Lord, all nations, praise him all people, for
he has bestowed owed his mercy upon us. He has
bestowed his mercy upon us, and the truth of the
Lord endures forever. So the truth of the Lord does endure,

(05:18):
and he has bestowed his mercy upon us.

Speaker 4 (05:22):
That's not really open to a question.

Speaker 3 (05:26):
If there is a question in your mind, it would
be are you ready to accept? Are you willing to
accept what has already bestowed upon you by virtue of
your source, by virtue of the fact.

Speaker 4 (05:51):
God is? And what you have.

Speaker 3 (05:56):
Decided for yourself is not. It has nothing to do
with reality. How you have identified yourself has nothing to
do with reality. It is of your own making and
it does not exist. But here is the key, it
does not exist. You are free.

Speaker 4 (06:15):
You know. You can continue to.

Speaker 3 (06:24):
I don't know the word that I wanna use here,
but you can continue to fabricate false ideas about yourself
and your own mind if you want to, and think
that you have to perform these acts of separation.

Speaker 4 (06:42):
But it is not true.

Speaker 3 (06:44):
And so we come together to remember what has already
been given us, what is true here and now. And
so this whole pra does this practice today right now
is simply releasing, letting go, loosening your grip. I don't

(07:13):
know how we use words, but it is a freeing,
a release.

Speaker 4 (07:21):
Of all your own ideas.

Speaker 3 (07:24):
And see, here's the thing is that it's total. See,
you think that you are as you have conceived of yourself,
and so you think your ideas are only what you
think about things. But the fact of the matter is
is your own ideas, is the belief of your identity,

(07:48):
whatever that is, it's your.

Speaker 4 (07:50):
Belief in that.

Speaker 3 (07:53):
And we just got done practicing twenty lessons. If I'm
not a body, I'm free. What is it in lesson
when ninety nine I'm not a body, I am free?
As freedom is impossible as long as you perceive a
body as yourself. So we put away all those ideas.

Speaker 4 (08:16):
We let them go. And so we come now fresh
with our lesson for today. Good morning.

Speaker 3 (08:26):
We come now fresh with our lesson for today, which
is less than two thirty one. Father, I will but
to remember you. And this is also the beginning.

Speaker 4 (08:42):
Of our.

Speaker 3 (08:48):
Idea, our new idea that we are going to look
at that has given us a theme. I don't remember
how he says it in the introduction. What is salvation?
What is salvation? Okay, we we want all to be saved,
but what is it? So let's listen to what has

(09:10):
been given us by Jesus.

Speaker 4 (09:16):
The idea.

Speaker 3 (09:20):
That you have already been saved and it's not save.
His saviorship is not based on any idea of crucifixion. Obviously,
you know the crucifixion was literally just the denial of
His declaration of your perfection, right, the need to be crucified.

(09:44):
This idea of crucifixion is nothing more than your own
need to squelch or quiet or.

Speaker 4 (09:54):
Cover or kill the idea of salvation.

Speaker 3 (10:01):
Alright, So here is salvation, and we come with an
open mind to hear a new we've never.

Speaker 4 (10:11):
Heard this before.

Speaker 3 (10:14):
Salvation is a promise made by God that you would
find your way to Him at last. So if you
remember in our brochure, it is an ancient promise, and
it is kept. It cannot but be kept. It cannot

(10:42):
but be kept. It guarantees. Let's just stay with that
word guarantee for a second. It guarantees that time will
have an end, and all the thoughts that have been
born in time will and as well. God's word is

(11:05):
given every mind which thinks it has separate thoughts, and
will replace these thoughts of conflict with the thought of peace.

Speaker 4 (11:19):
The thought of.

Speaker 3 (11:21):
Peace was given to God's son the instant that his
mind had thought of war. There was no need for
such a thought before, for peace was given without opposition,
and merely was. But when the mind is split, there

(11:42):
is a need of healing, and so the thought, and
this is thought with a capital T. And so the
thought that has power to heal the split became a
part of every fragment of the mind that still was one,
but failed to recognize is oneness. Now it did not

(12:07):
know itself and thought its own identity was lost. I
feeling right now as I read this, I want to
make a departure back to a less than one hundred
and seven for an instant that is truth will correct

(12:28):
all errors.

Speaker 4 (12:30):
In my mind. And we're gonna just look at a
couple of paragraphs from that lesson. I have to go
find it.

Speaker 3 (12:38):
So I'm going to put on a piece of music,
and then we're going to come back and reread this,
because these are just not words that were read.

Speaker 4 (12:48):
We're not just reciting things. We're not just reading them
for things.

Speaker 3 (12:52):
We're really accepting the ideas as true here and now
that they are true, that your trust is.

Speaker 4 (13:06):
In them, not in your own belief.

Speaker 3 (13:11):
See, you have a tendency to try to measure everything
you hear based on what you already believe. This is
a teaching of letting all of that go, not to
measure it against what you think is already true. No,
what you think is true is not that leads you
directly into your own fear. But that is the basis

(13:36):
of all of this, and as long as you want
to measure it against what you hold is true, you
have no true basis and so you're just your experience
is only going to be more of the same. Is
putting another band aid over that fundamental mental idea of

(14:03):
yourself that you hold that is not true, so you
try to solve it. You accept that and then try
to solve it. Now this is the undoing of it completely,
all right, So sorry.

Speaker 4 (14:19):
I just got a little bit wound up there.

Speaker 3 (14:23):
Let me just put on some music and we're going
to go and visit again a little bit from Yeah,
let's just play this song.

Speaker 5 (16:33):
Thinkst So the name.

Speaker 3 (17:39):
Of that song was Psalm, and unbeknownst to me, and
Giv pointed this out.

Speaker 4 (17:44):
Thank you Giv. That the song.

Speaker 3 (17:49):
Lodate Domino is actually Psalm one seventeen, which I did
not know. But when you think about it, Psalm is
song and I love this idea. I'm getting a little
off track here, so please just bear with me.

Speaker 4 (18:03):
I love this idea because it is a.

Speaker 3 (18:09):
Singing of a song. You are singing a song, and
I don't know. I mean, this is not new, but
I have stumbled more recently on this idea of how
we have accepted a tuning of four hundred and forty
hertz for I think a above middle C, when in

(18:30):
fact the four hundred and thirty two herts is actually
the frequency that is in alignment with the sacred geometry.
So you begin to see that everything is in harmony
a song. And so you know, we are singing our song.
So the issue is not that you're singing a song

(18:50):
right now, how discordant is your song? And so when
you really look at the lessons of the workbook or
even the idea and then I'm going to read from
less than one oh second seven, truth will correct all errors.

Speaker 4 (19:07):
In my mind. Is you're allowing yourself to be read.

Speaker 3 (19:11):
It's like there's a sounding, a calling, a tuning that
you can tune to, but you have to be willing
to let go of the song that you're singing, of
separation in whatever manner, whatever form that you're doing that.
And so you know, we want to try to objectify things,
but the fact of the matter is is is what's

(19:35):
the song that you're singing? And I'm speaking very I
guess it's metaphorical, but it is all energy and frequency,
and you can try to demonstrate a tune, but finally
what is heard is the tune that you're actually singing.

Speaker 4 (19:57):
So it's not an all show.

Speaker 3 (20:00):
It's like Jesus says, when you pray, go to your
closet and pray, you know, don't be like the hypocrites
and go out and demonstrate holy you are and how
much you pray. That has nothing to do with it. It
has to do with your own beingness.

Speaker 4 (20:16):
You know, you don't.

Speaker 3 (20:17):
Have to go around and tell everybody you're the Holy
Son of God in whatever manner you do.

Speaker 4 (20:25):
The fact is you are the Holy Son of God.
The Holy Son of.

Speaker 3 (20:28):
God knows himself, and if he knows himself, he knows everything.
And there's absolutely no reason or need to demonstrate.

Speaker 4 (20:38):
That to what it would be outside of that.

Speaker 3 (20:43):
Anyways, Truth will correct all errors. In my mind, let's
just do a couple of paragraphs and then we'll go
back to what is salvation? What can correct illusions but
the truth? And what are airs but illusions that remain

(21:06):
unrecognized for what they are? Where truth has entered errors disappear.
They merely vanish, leaving not a trace by which to
be remembered. They are gone because without belief they have
no life, and so they disappeared to nothingness, returning whence

(21:31):
they came from dust to dust, They come and go,
for only truth remains.

Speaker 4 (21:38):
Now we're going to do this little exercise.

Speaker 3 (21:42):
Can you imagine what a state of mind without illusions is?

Speaker 4 (21:51):
How would it feels?

Speaker 3 (21:54):
Try to remember when there was a time, perhaps a minute,
maybe even less, when nothing came to interrupt your peace,
when you are certain you were loved and safe. Then
try to picture what it would be like to have
that moment be extended to the end of time and

(22:15):
into eternity. And then let the sense of quiet that
you felt be multiplied a hundred times, and then multiplied
another hundred more. And now you have a hint, not

(22:39):
more than just the faintest intimation of the state of
the state your mind will rest. When truth has come
without illusions, there could be no fear, no doubt, and
no attack. When truth has come, all pain is over,

(23:05):
for there is no room for transitory thoughts and dead
ideas to linger in your mind. Truth occupies your mind completely,
liberating you from all beliefs in the ephemeral. They have
no place because the truth has come and they are nowhere.

(23:30):
They cannot be found, for truth is everywhere forever now,
So I'm just gonna leave it there. So what is salvation.
It's a promise made by God that you would find

(23:55):
your way to Him at last.

Speaker 4 (23:59):
It cannot but be kept.

Speaker 3 (24:02):
It guarantees that time will have an end, and all
the thoughts that have been born in time will end
as well. God's word is given every mind which thinks
that it has separate thoughts, and will replace these thoughts
of conflict with the thought of peace. The thought of

(24:26):
peace was given to God's son the instant that his
mind had thought of war. There was no need for
such a thought before, for peace was given without opposite.

Speaker 4 (24:41):
And merely was.

Speaker 3 (24:44):
But when the mind is split, there is a need
of healing. So the thought capital t that has power
to heal the split became a part of every fragment
of the mind that still was one, but failed.

Speaker 4 (25:01):
To recognize its oneness.

Speaker 3 (25:04):
Now it did not know itself and thought its own
identity was lost. Salvation is the undoing in the sense
that it does nothing, failing to support the world of

(25:25):
dreams and malice. Thus it lets illusions go by not
supporting them. It merely lets them quietly go down to dust.
And what they hid now is revealed. I'm going to
read it again. And what they hid is now revealed.

Speaker 4 (25:49):
An alter to the Holy.

Speaker 3 (25:52):
Name, wherein his word is written with the gift of
your forgiveness is laid before it, and the memory of.

Speaker 4 (26:02):
God not far behind.

Speaker 3 (26:09):
In the text, he talks about this idea that God
gave answer to what he did not understand.

Speaker 4 (26:23):
His word is given to every.

Speaker 3 (26:30):
Fragment of the mind that is still one, but failed
to recognize its oneness.

Speaker 4 (26:39):
And so when you really see that, it is a retuning,
if you will, because.

Speaker 3 (26:49):
As you are created as God created you, you are
as He is. There is no distance in the Father
and the Son. And as you allow accept that correction,

(27:20):
it is already accomplished. You recognize it is already accomplished.
So let us come daily to this holy place and
spend a while together.

Speaker 4 (27:39):
Let us come right.

Speaker 3 (27:39):
Now and be.

Speaker 4 (27:45):
Let it be. It is there.

Speaker 3 (27:50):
He is here. Here we share our final dream. It
is a dream which there is no sorrow, for it
holds a hint of all the glory given.

Speaker 4 (28:05):
Us by God.

Speaker 3 (28:08):
The grass is pushing through the soil. The trees are
budding now, and birds have come to live within their branches.
Earth is being born again in new perspective. Night has
gone and we have come together in the light. So

(28:31):
let's just take a moment right now and we'll play
into the light.

Speaker 4 (28:51):
Night gone gone.

Speaker 1 (31:34):

Speaker 4 (32:06):
Thank you so much.

Speaker 3 (32:08):
That was Mitch, and I just all I can say
is I love you and thank you. I don't I'm
looking for words right now and there are none.

Speaker 4 (32:19):
So we just go back and we read.

Speaker 3 (32:21):
Our lesson and we allow for this idea of salvation. Okay,
So let us come daily to this holy place and
spend a while together here we share our final dream.

(32:45):
It is a dream in which there is no sorrow,
for it holds a hint of all the glory given
us by God. The grass is pushing through the soil,
The trees are but now, and birds have come to
live within their holy branch, and within their branches, Earth

(33:06):
is being born again in a new perspective. Night has gone,
and we have come together in the light. From here
we give salvation to the world, for it is here
salvation was received.

Speaker 4 (33:23):
The Psalm of our.

Speaker 3 (33:25):
Rejoicing is the call to all the world that freedom
is returned. That time is almost over, and God's son
has but an instant more to wait until his Father
is remembered. Dreams are done, Eternity has shined away the world,

(33:51):
and only now Heaven exists at all. Here's that idea
of the psalm again and the song. For the song
of our rejoicing is the call to the world that
freedom is returned.

Speaker 4 (34:10):
So as we sing.

Speaker 3 (34:11):
Our song of our own rejoicing in the recognition of
who and what and where we are in our very being,
it is the call.

Speaker 4 (34:31):
To all the world.

Speaker 3 (34:34):
That freedom is returned. Okay, our listen our prayer. Father,
I will but to remember you. What can I seek for, Father,
but your love? Perhaps I think I seek for something else,

(35:01):
a something I have called by many names. Yet is
your love the only thing I seek or ever sought for.
There is nothing else that I could ever really want
to find.

Speaker 4 (35:17):
Let me remember you.

Speaker 3 (35:21):
What else could I desire but the truth about myself?

Speaker 4 (35:28):
This is your will, my brother, and you.

Speaker 3 (35:31):
Share this will with me and with the one as
well who is our father. To remember him is heaven.
This we seek, and only this is what will be given.

Speaker 4 (35:46):
Us to find.

Speaker 3 (35:49):
This we seek, and only this is what will be
given us to find I will but to remember you, Father,
I will but to remember you.

Speaker 4 (36:13):
So now we'll just take some time.

Speaker 10 (36:18):
And allan.

Speaker 11 (38:11):
Found as.

Speaker 12 (38:26):
A heaven.

Speaker 5 (39:20):
Forget a A.

Speaker 3 (40:19):
A A A N.

Speaker 12 (40:34):
Back at.

Speaker 3 (41:11):
The A.

Speaker 12 (41:17):
M about today to get.

Speaker 6 (46:59):
Thank you so much.

Speaker 4 (47:29):
So enclosing, I just want to say thank you. I
love you.

Speaker 3 (47:35):
And as a reminder, and this is always a reminder.

Speaker 4 (47:42):
For myself and that is.

Speaker 9 (47:46):
We I.

Speaker 3 (47:51):
Want to remember you, want to remember that it is
a promise. Salvation is a promise that has been kept.

Speaker 4 (48:01):
And that we have discovered through this mind training that.

Speaker 3 (48:10):
In the practice and we say practice as though there's
a difference between practice and doing, but in the practice
of these lessons. We assume the truth, We accept the truth,
and then discover all that it holds out to us.

Speaker 4 (48:29):
And to discover all.

Speaker 3 (48:31):
That it holds out to us is simultaneous with letting
go with what I think I need to accomplish, in
what I need to do, and all the thoughts that
go along with us with that.

Speaker 4 (48:47):
So I just want to read in closing.

Speaker 3 (48:52):
A couple paragraphs, and this is I'll say in our
in God we trust for sure, from chapter twenty six,
the Little Hindrance, And I'll just read a couple of
paragraphs starting with the second nothing.

Speaker 4 (49:14):
Is ever lost but time.

Speaker 3 (49:19):
It would be better if you went to your text Alma.
So it's chapter twenty six, a little Hindrance, which is
the fifth section.

Speaker 4 (49:28):
I believe.

Speaker 3 (49:31):
Nothing is ever lost but time, which in the end
is meaningless, for it is but a little hindrance to eternity,
quite meaningless to the real teacher of the world.

Speaker 4 (49:46):
Yet, since you do believe in it, why should you waste.

Speaker 3 (49:49):
It going nowhere when it can be used to reach
a goal as high as learning can achieve.

Speaker 4 (49:57):
Think not, the way to Heaven's git is difficult at all.

Speaker 3 (50:03):
Nothing you undertake with certain purpose and high resolve and
happy confidence, holding your brother's hand, and keeping step to
Heaven's song. There it is again, is difficult to do.
But it is hard, indeed to wander off alone and miserable,

(50:25):
down a road that leads to nothing and that has
no purpose. God gave his teacher to replace the one
you made, not to conflict with it. And what he
would replace has been replaced. Time lasted but an instant

(50:48):
in your mind, with no effect upon eternity. And so
as all time passed, and everything exactly as it was
before the way to nothingness was made, the tiny tick
of time in which the first mistake was made, and
all of them within that one mistake held also the

(51:12):
correction for that one, and all of them that came
within the first, And in that tiny instant time was gone,
For that was all it ever was. What God gave
answer to is answered and is gone. To you who

(51:38):
still believe you live in time, and know not it
is gone. The Holy Spirit still guide you through the
infinitely small and senseless maze you still perceive in time,
though it.

Speaker 4 (51:51):
Is long since gone. You think you live in what
has passed.

Speaker 3 (51:58):
Each thing you look upon you saw for an instant
long ago before its unreality gave way to truth. Not
one illusion still remains unanswered in your mind. Uncertainty was
brought to certainty so long ago that it is hard,

(52:19):
indeed to hold it to your heart as if it
were before you. Still I'm going to leave it right there,
so let it be so because it is so. And
I want to just also say that for those who
are tuned in, invite you to stay with us as

(52:45):
we watch the video of the day from the Master
Teacher of of course in Miracles, and our lesson today
in the musical Mind Training is Lessons one thirty one,
which are our quintessential mind training lessons. Every lesson does

(53:07):
really contain the whole curriculum. So I love you with
all my heart and thank you for being here. And
I wish I had the words to express how I
truly feel, so we try with those and just let
it be so.

Speaker 4 (53:27):
So with that, I want to wish you the.

Speaker 3 (53:29):
Most wonderful day, and may the peace of God remain
with you in your awareness always.

Speaker 13 (53:48):
You have been listening to voice from Heaven live in
the Miracles Healing Center. Remember that God's voice speaks to
you all through the day, that God goes.

Speaker 4 (53:59):
With you wherever you go, and that God is the
mind with which you think. God bless us everyone,
