Ostrovu Južná Georgia sa nie nadarmo hovorí aj „Serengeti južného Atlantiku“. Počet voľne žijúcich zvierat, ktoré tam môžete vidieť na jednom mieste, je totiž porovnateľný s miliónovými hordami, ktoré sa presúvajú po afrických stepiach. Akurát namiesto majestátnych byvolov sa okolo vás motkajú státisíce neohrabaných tučniakov, ktorí sú tak roztomilí, že koluje príbeh o pani, ktorá jedného z nich nenápadne uniesla a objavili ho v jej kajute až cestou späť.
