It was May second, twenty fifteen, were we myself and
Len Nelson debut WAPL Homebrewed to take a big swing
at bringing our local and state music scene to listeners
all over our one hundred thousand watts of rock and
Apple power, giving more people a taste of what incredible
music talent we have right here, not only in our

little corner of northeast Wisconsin, but throughout the entire state
of Wisconsin. And so far through those ten years we've
played roughly ballpark probably six thousand songs from literally hundreds
of artists and bands. And for our longtime listeners, hey,
thank you so much for spending this hour on Saturdays

just finding us recently, thank you.

And The Lately is one of those bands that I
saw live and thought to myself, my God, So I

Welcome back and w apl Homebrewed Radio The Lately with
their song Old News that was part of our very
first home brewed show ten years ago May second, twenty fifteen,
when Lenn Nelson and I brought Home Brood onto airwaves.
And The Lately is one of those bands that I
saw live and thought to myself, my God, So I
want I want so many people to hear this band.

And that's sort of what Homebrewed is all about, and
why Homebrewed came to be is getting that music out
more people so they could hear how just damn great
this music scene we have in this area is this
is unusual.

Trust me, it's unusual.

Not you can't travel, you know, anywhere in the country
and find this rich of talent of music and musicians
and just good people too, you know, that support the
community and the community supports them. It's a very very
cool symbiotic relationship. And that's that's what Homebrewed was about,
bringing that music out to more people. So thank you
