In this episode, we interview Greg Edinger, Superintendent of the Vanguard Sentinel Career and Technology Center, based in Fremont, Ohio, which is in Northwest Ohio.
Today's topic is "What do parents need to know about career technical education?"
Career tech is not what it used to be. It is something that has really taken off and for good reason. College costs are soaring. And students need alternatives to meaningful career options. And career tech is definitely the way to go in this new era of information technology, and technology in general.
It's a real alternative to the thousands upon hundreds of thousands of dollars that students are committing to go to college, without not understanding or not sure what where they want to go.
One of the things we need to do a better job is continuing to talk about how great career tech is. It really is a wonderful option for students as they want to continue to look at how they want to pursue their careers and how they want to go about it in a thoughtful and cost effective way.

CrimeLess: Hillbilly Heist
It’s 1996 in rural North Carolina, and an oddball crew makes history when they pull off America’s third largest cash heist. But it’s all downhill from there. Join host Johnny Knoxville as he unspools a wild and woolly tale about a group of regular ‘ol folks who risked it all for a chance at a better life. CrimeLess: Hillbilly Heist answers the question: what would you do with 17.3 million dollars? The answer includes diamond rings, mansions, velvet Elvis paintings, plus a run for the border, murder-for-hire-plots, and FBI busts.
