(00:00):
we're heading to a 50% obesity rate
in the United States of adults by 2030
so then like what is detox is like
well it's removing non self from self
so say someone is like
very scattered and having a hard time sleeping
and seems to be having more accidents or injuries
or like just bumping into things
and it's just

(00:20):
really having a hard time managing just life in
the modern world
well that's really good
um assurance
especially for people who are just starting out
guiding their detoxes and um
will you say these um
these healing crisis for them to for them to not um

(00:45):
or prevent that rather is there like a way for you to
um monitor was gonna get into the detox
like you have to talk to them if they're ready or is
yeah I love that yeah
like in ones for academy
like we really teach to talk to every
to talk to everyone that you work with

(01:06):
sit down and have like a future you conversation
which is like you're here now
you wanna be there like what really is here now
and that would be very much
I mean in
depending on the scope of practice of the wellness
professional on thumbnail
how they've been trained to do an assessment right
so we're not
necessarily adding too much to that assessment
but we're getting very clear on where the person

(01:29):
starting with their goals are
and what are some of the obstacles and challenges
and getting from here
and forgetting from here to there
so when we do
when you and I do the conversation later on
guiding a weight loss challenge
we should talk about you know
what is going to come out of the body as someone
is in a weight loss challenge

(01:49):
because that can also be surprising
you know both
especially if you're a wellness pro
and you've been in a year
optimal body weight for most of your life
like you just really have no idea
about what it's
like to hold a lot of toxicity within your tissue
um so if you haven't had that and release that

(02:09):
you don't know what that experience is like
right
okay so I guess that goes on to my next question
you talked a lot about healing crisis
um
and so what is it really like
is it yeah
go ahead
yeah you can yeah what is a healing crisis

(02:33):
a healing crisis is when the body
whether it's the emotional body
the physical body
is releasing more than
then the body can digest in real time
right so often what happens
actually
one of our members just went through a healing crisis

(02:55):
maybe we can get her on for an interview
I'll see if she will do this
um
one of our anonymous members
was in the fast mimicking diet
and she had a healing crisis
this is like 3 weeks ago when we did fast mimicking
diet
this was maybe her fifth fast mimicking diet
so she has quite a bit of experience and she was

(03:17):
all in and stoked and ready to ready to go
and she had emotional healing crisis
and I'm not sure that's why I want
I wanna talk to her and get the whole story
cause we
we can learn so much from anyone healing crisis
as a practitioner or as a wellness professional
we can learn so much from any individual process

(03:39):
and that's where we can also have inside of like
how can I support someone through this better
so that's what I'm always looking for is like
what do I need to put in place
what is the structure of my detox
whether it's accountability partners
whether it's being live every day
like that's what we did on the last last midnight
we were live every day at noon for questions for

(04:02):
you know
just cheering each other on for whatever people need
and what she had realized
in this was a release in the emotional body
so again when a healing crisis is
when the body is releasing
more than we want it to write
like more than like we get overwhelmed
and sometimes it's physical like the rashes

(04:22):
it can be people can have absolutely no energy
like very very deep fatigue
people can have
especially if there's like excess vodka in the bones
people can have very deep pain
like they're fine one day
they're doing the detox
they've got great energy love the detox
this is amazing I feel amazing
they're usually boxes that are super excited

(04:43):
and enthusiastic about how awesome everything is
and then the next day they're just like
they hate you like I am in so much pain
I can't move
I wish I had never done this like I can't work
I can't deal with my kid I can't
I am like on the couch or on the floor
or my back went out
right and this is very common so people think oh

(05:04):
my back went out I should stop what I'm doing actually
that happened to another member in this last FV
her back went out she's like
I'm gonna stop so usually what happens is
we then want to stop the detox
and as a wellness pro it's better to
see what you can do to help them just

(05:26):
just kind of take the edge off because they are on
the tipping point
of being able to go to a whole other level
of integrity and their physiology
but it's gonna require every ounce of their attention
and it's attention that digest

(05:49):
the emotional
it's the attention that digest even the fat tissue
so if we don't like ping out of it
just be like where's the burger
where's the beer like where's the glass of wine
or where's the whatever it is
like sometimes it's just oatmeal
like I just need to food right
but if we can stay in it which might be bone broth
or it might be vegetable broth or it might be

(06:13):
sauerkraut
something that's really good for the microbiome
it's just like it did like
if we can just stay in it
right at enough
that we can allow our attention to go to what
is releasing what is digesting
what is processing will have an insight
we might not believe we're having the insight
and that's what makes it tricky
this is where having leadership and friends and

(06:36):
that know how to detox helps a lot
cause we might have this like
I don't know why I keep thinking about my
you know
this thing that happened when I was 10 or 20 or 30
like and we won't want
we'll think it's a distraction
it's not
it's what's releasing from the emotional body
and sometimes it's releasing from the ancestral body
and it's generational generationally old

(06:58):
which we now actually are starting to get research on
as far as how this changes the genetics
than the in the genetic code
so yeah so
and that's tied to the emotional body
that's very powerful Cate
so I guess this goes with about a
read a book about that

(07:18):
um who you are
your physical um
your physical issues it's not really genetic sometimes
and you can
you can decide what your body is gonna be right
how healthy it can be
and you can remove that genetic generation of
having these types of issues
and then you could um
detoxify your body from that through these detoxes

(07:41):
yes that's what I'm getting from this yeah
that's exactly and this
and the woman I was talking about
that hit this healing crisis
not the one with the back went out
the other one
maybe we can have them both on because it'll be fun
let's talk about this for real
so the one that hit an emotional healing crisis

(08:02):
she realized you know
with some help and some coaching
that she had
been allowing people to cross her boundaries
forever like for a long like decades
and she reestablished

(08:22):
in the definition for health in Ayurveda is
is fucked you know
if you had one word that would describe health
it's fusta which means seeded in the salsa spa salsas
deceit succeeded in the self
so when people are crossing your boundaries
there's no
you're not seated in yourself like you've evacuated
right and so people can do what they want with you

(08:42):
so you might be
you know you might just been
you might just be like a people placer
or bend over backwards
or try to earn recognition for performance or
you know a lot of things that you're rewarded for
right and she had this very much this come to Jesus
I call it come to Jesus reckoning day

(09:03):
everyone say it I like reckoning day a lot
where all of a sudden there's this invitation into
the next level of integrity
or that means you're gonna
you're becoming very integrated cause you're processing
you're digesting out some old
old pattern
and you know
some of these patterns are multi generational
like we Learned it from her mom
who Learned it from her mom

(09:24):
and that's a bit of what we mean by
the ancestral pattern and the emotional body
and how that can affect the genetic code
and how you can as to your point
reverse that and go into an epigenetic code
wow I really love this session
I'm learning so much
and you talked a lot about healing crisis right
um how would

(09:46):
how would you differentiate the healing crisis
and then something is a little bit more serious
where we actually need to uh
speak to someone in the medical industry already
yeah that's a really good question
I'd say anytime
you feel like you're out of your scope of practice
and like your member wants is like going to the doctor
it's like great
let let me know what happens

(10:07):
that's what I would say like
let me know what they diagnose
I'm so curious so I'm all for
I'm all for complimentary everything
I used to
I remember now back to like one of my VIP clients
where she was very allopathic in nature

(10:28):
but trying to take better care of herself
she had two or three autoimmune diseases
you know it was very much in a pain cave a lot
of the time
and at one time you know during a detox
like she she's
she's going to the emergency room
and I felt like some part of me was like
I felt like I had really failed right
that I really failed in my role

(10:49):
and maybe that I had failed her
and some part of me was like resistant to her going
right behind my ego was pretty resistant to her going
and now you know
if I like fast forward to now and look back on that
like it had so much more to do with her
than what we were doing

(11:10):
and where she felt safe and comfortable
um like the doctor just sent her home
like it wasn't like there was something that was like
serious serious serious yeah
so people go to doctors for a lot of different reasons
you know and doctor knows best um is right there
so I'm just thinking of like what what happens

(11:32):
it's you know
for many people coming into detox certification
at Wellness Pro Academy I have them learn a lot
it is a very intense certification in a way
like when I looked at it after I created it
I was kind of like
oh boy Cate like couldn't you have made this
like 50% easier like couldn't you just you know

(11:52):
can you 80
20 the sucker and just like make it a breeze and easy
and I couldn't you know I looked at it and I was like
I can't really take that out
can't really take that out
and there's a whole section in there on
people who do juice feasting
and long fasting long water fast

(12:12):
and to look at what into watch
watch videos on the stories
of people who've just stopped eating for 30
60 days who've done juicing for 90 hundred
hundred and twenty days
and listen and to find out like what is the body

(12:33):
how does the body heal itself without food
and just learn from people who've done it
wow
and they all have the same stories
there's days when they couldn't get off the floor
and did they go to the er
like no I mean
some of them might have but like
you know like that it's usually

(12:55):
that energy is best just put going into hydration
into enemas honestly
like enemas are huge we do tons of enemas during detox
and I in challenges just to keep the
keep the bottom channel the rear door
keep the rear door open and things can flow out
if the rear doors closed

(13:16):
things are gonna either come up
and out through the nostrils
through the eyes through the mouth
through the ears out through the skin
or they get stuck and you get stuck with a ton of pain
just because there's no flow
without flow there's pain yeah
my question was going to be
we talked a lot about
you know during the detox

(13:36):
and then horror stories during the detox
and you mention these people who are water fasting
or juice fasting
and most of them or none of them actually go to the er
and I'm thinking
maybe this could be something about mental
like if they're actually prepared for it
if they're very much um

(13:57):
committed to it so is there
is there like a pre detox time
where you just have to prepare them like hey
before the detox maybe five days
three days
clear things out yeah
tell your friends and family
that you're going on a detox
so yeah further participants yeah

(14:18):
yeah we do
we do and
the way that I
the way that I guide it in detox certification is
as a 3 week process so ease in
go in deep and and ease out because the
the ease out is actually often
people find that harder than the ease in
or the going deep and that's often very surprising

(14:39):
it's just like how do I navigate who I am now
right now that like
because before I had all the crutches
and that was working that was great
and then in the detox
I had these huge realizations that
I don't wanna be that person with crutches
but I do need to go back to my responsibilities
I need to leave the cave and go back to my
my life and that might include my social scene

(15:01):
that might include my family's habits
that might include my friends habits
so how do I reinvent like
how do I up stay in this up leveled experience
where I feel amazing
cause I don't wanna trade that in anymore
to just fit in
right or just to feel the temporary high
but let go of that that deeper satisfaction

(15:24):
that deeper high
so three weeks to me is I
I can't seem to shorten that um
in the weight loss challenges
like the fast mimicking diet
we do those as 5 days and that works great
but that community is rolling
like they're all
everyone is already invested in Club Thrive

(15:45):
so those are not open to the public right
like they're already in Club Thrive or on the same page
most of them have detox experiences
so we can just like jump in as a community
and you can feel the momentum
like I'll actually let me ask you
cause you jumped in with us three weeks ago
yes you feel momentum of the group

(16:06):
or how did that cause that
we didn't really do any prep
we're just like no
we're just doing it on Thursday
you know we're starting on Monday
we're done on Friday
yeah um
the momentum I felt um
when people started actually maybe a few days before
when you were going around and asking everyone
who's joining are you joining
and then seeing all these people saying

(16:27):
I'm in yes
I'm going all in I'm ready
even though I'm on vacation etc etc
just feeling they're committed to the detox
even when all these things are happening
to their different lives I was very motivated
I said oh
I can do this too cause if they can
I can so I guess that goes back to the point of view

(16:49):
talking about it being done much better
in a group wise five or more
very motivating and you get to hear these different um
stories from different people
all walks of life going through it
and it's just so fun
way to connect with other members as well

(17:09):
while you're going through the detox
yeah I mean
when you're talking about it made me think of is like
we often if we have football
say like air quotes like bad habits
or habits that work against the physiology
that are bonding
like maybe we like to drink beer together
or maybe we like to go eat ice cream together
or maybe we like to you know
just Netflix and chill which is kind of fine

(17:30):
but maybe we're doing it too much after work together
right
and those habits are influent pro inflammatory habits
right for watching Netflix
and it's keeping us up late at night
we're creating more inflammation
we're changing our microbiome
we're affecting our circadian rhythm
getting too much blue light
like blah blah blah
you guys all know the story

(17:52):
if we look at a detox or a weight loss challenge
and we're bonding with adversity habits
so the anti inflammatory habits are
called adversity habits
and the habits that they're adverse
they're hard
they're hard to do but they're interestingly enough
they're harder to do

(18:14):
they're much harder to do alone then they are together
cause if there's a bunch of people doing a hard thing
there's excitement there's a goal
there's um you know
yoga they say the word top us
which is this friction
like if you rub your hands together
like trying to spark a flame right
that's the energy of adversity

(18:36):
and it's incredibly bonding
it's way more bonding than the pro inflammatory habits
so we get very quickly bonded
and this is what we see in Club Thrive
and Club Hero and Wellness Pro Academy
because all my clubs are hard right
we do hard things but we do them together
so they're easier is there's this incredible bonding

(18:58):
so when I look back
like a lot of people are coming into Club Thrive
waitlist in school now
who used to be in Body Thrive or living or Veda
or yoga health coaching
or yoga detox that are coming back in
and they're bonded from having done intense growth
experiences where they became and evolved
and were able to shed
parts of their identity that they had outgrown

(19:20):
or that were dysfunctional
and they are so in gratitude to themselves
and to each other
they're like colleagues on the path of growth
even more so than they are to say
like me as like the host or the leader or the guide
right and
and so it's so important as the leader

(19:40):
to not have any ego about
any of that
but just to appreciate how
the group has bonded
from something that you built the structure for
and so I see so much the role of the leader of a detox
the leader of a club
leader of a weight loss challenge is like

(20:01):
your job is to build the structure
for the group to connect
your job is to build the structure for the members
to relax
I love that I love how you put that um
last where Cate
about your job is to
make the group relax and ease into it
Mike I have a full impression on that

(20:21):
do you think anybody should be
a guide or a leader for these detoxes
that's okay yeah
I think so I mean
this is basically
when I think like any type of wellness pro
if we just like if we just start there
like that you're already into wellness
and you have some experiences detoxing

(20:44):
and if you don't you know
what we do with people that want to is like
we have you in Club Thrive
so that you're doing it with us
while you're in wellness Pro Academy
and guiding the detox and detox certification
because they might need a lot more experiences
the more experience we have right
then the more we we don't wanna guide
you can't guide a journey you haven't been on

(21:05):
I think
it's just the definition of guide to someone who's
walked the path before and has come back
and picked up the people that want to get from a to B
so we need if we need enough of those experiences
I can like how much can we do that together
when I think back to those first detoxes I guided

(21:26):
I only had one or two
like honestly like one or two detoxes under my belt
and it was successful
right because I had studied how
you know I studied how in in our Uvada college I

(21:47):
knew the steps and the stages
and I knew how to build that structure
and I have a gift in curriculum creation
so it was like a little bit of
of both of those things so I've taken out that
anyone needing a gift in curriculum creation
and detox certification
cause you have all the templates
you have all the you have all the lessons
you can use the videos you can use the templates

(22:10):
you can use the ebooks
like you don't you can just like pick and choose
and the other thing that
our members are finding in there
uh
is that they start really gently
you know
they start by doing something that's very achievable
they don't start with like
a 21 day water fast or anything like that right
or a seven day water fast
or even they don't even start with fast mimicking diet

(22:30):
that is very and we consider that quite advanced
and
they start with something that's much more based on
circadian rhythm habits
and helping people just reset their habits
and get to some meal spacing
maybe a little intermittent fasting
and just focus on circadian rhythm habits
and that amazingly in today's culture is a detox

(22:54):
yeah I love that especially now with so much um
access to technology and you can be online 24 hours
that right there is actually a detox pretty much um
so this episode
we've talked about a lot of what goes before the detox
during the detox some horror stories

(23:15):
and the best way to be a leader to that
so to wrap it up
what advice would you give to new practitioners
who just want to begin guiding detoxins
we should have them take our quiz
we have a which type of what is our quiz called
which type of detox you got
yes that's someone yeah

(23:36):
you should definitely start there
and then that will lead you into Club 5 waitlist
into our school
where we have a little webinar on guiding a detox
and then and then
you'll be LED to either have a conversation with me
or with another one of our coaches
to help you see what you really want to do

(23:58):
and where you're at I
I do wanna have let's we're gonna have an episode on
for those of you who wanna make money
cause when I look back to my initial motivations
it was like one
I needed detox buddies so that I would do a good
deep detox cause I still
at that point had seasonal allergies and constipation
and was a bit overweight like not a lot

(24:20):
but I knew that detox would help me with all of those
three things and No. 2
I needed to pay my mortgage
so I have no shame in anyone
who is in that same position of just like
you know I need to add a revenue stream
I need people to have a deep
transformational experience with me

(24:40):
so that they'll sign up for my longer program
or my high ticket item
or my mastermind group or my club
or whatever we're calling our circle or thing uh
and if we don't have that if we don't have enough
so then that'll be good for you guys to talk to us
as well
just to help you structure your wellness business
so that you have
a healthy career with a healthy income
and that you're guiding members to results

(25:03):
so we will once we have do we have a link for the quiz
I don't we could make one up
we could say
wellness pro dot Academy forward slash detox
and that will bring you to the quiz
and that link will work when you hear it
so Wellness Pro Dot Academy
forward slash detox will bring you right
into that quiz which will kick off that journey with us

(25:24):
yeah and we'll also add that to the show notes
if you guys would want to have a link to that
and then yeah
I guess that's it for this episode
and if you'd wanna stay tuned for the next one
to learn more about the pricing
follow us for more
Yay thanks Gabi
it's been fun

(25:45):
yeah thank you Cate
