Chad Syverson is the George C. Tiao Distinguished Service Professor of Economics at the University of Chicago Booth School of Business. His research focuses on productivity, firm structure, and market dynamics, and he has coauthored the textbook Microeconomics. Before academia, he worked as a mechanical engineer and holds degrees in both engineering and economics.
