and I'm your push coach.
I'm a failed rockstar turnedseven figure life coach.
I've trained over 40,000coaches and entrepreneurs since
I got started back in 2014.
I currently run my own lifecoach certification for those
who want to learn the powerfultools of transforming lives
using the psychology of truecoaching.
(00:20):
On this show, we're going toexplore business from a
different perspective.
I combine high energy withpsychology to teach you business
in a totally different way.
If you're tired of being toldto just show up and do the work,
or just believe more or justtrust the compound effect, this
podcast will take you on a deepdive to help you understand what
(00:43):
is actually holding you andyour clients back from doing the
work.
Once you understand thepsychology of performance, we
can build powerful messagingthat will attract the right
people who finally show up anddo the work.
If you're ready to be apowerful leader and build your
legacy, let's dive in.
What's up everybody?
(01:05):
My name is Josh.
I'm your push coach, excited tohang out with you today for
another episode, as I'mrecording this just a couple
days out from Valentine's Day.
Hope you had a wonderful day oflove.
Me and my wife had an amazingtime going out, spending some
quality time together, and thenthe day after me and my little
girl went to our annualdaddy-daughter dance, had such a
(01:28):
good time.
We actually went this year to adaddy-daughter dance at the Air
and Space Museum, which wassuper rad Just like a dance
party a bunch of dads and theirlittle girls surrounded by like
airplanes and fighter jets andstuff.
When we got bored of dancing wecould go did like a hot air
balloon simulation ride, likeall kinds of cool stuff.
(01:50):
What a cool event that was.
Today I want to talk to youabout what you're fighting for,
because I think that businesscan be frustrating in a lot of
different ways and it can bechallenging in a lot of
different ways and if we're notcareful, we can accidentally
forget what the challenge wasfor and what we're actually
(02:10):
fighting for with all of thethings we're trying to learn,
all of the systems we're tryingto take on.
Actually, in my membership thismorning I had someone that was
basically saying like I have allthese leaders that I look up to
and I need people to break itdown and make it easier for me
and, on one hand, fullyunderstand her frustration.
It's one of the reasons a lotof people sign up to work with
(02:33):
me is because they've had somany people that have just told
them over and over and over, like just show up, just do the
work, just make more posts andaren't actually breaking it down
into any like step-by-stepprocesses that people can
actually follow right.
So I understood our frustrationand then I also wanted to make
sure and address, like, themindset behind that, because we,
(02:57):
as entrepreneurs, we and wealone are responsible for our
success and while I want you tofind a good mentor hopefully you
think that I'm a good mentorWhile I want you to find support
, while I want you to find theseexternal things that help you
and aid in that, I need you toremember that at the very core
(03:20):
of all of that has got to be youand your absolute determination
to figure this out and find away, because people are counting
on you to find a way.
Myself and Kurt, my podcastproducer, were just chatting
this morning about howfrustrating it can be to be the
(03:41):
one that everyone else isdepending on.
Everyone else needs you to showup, needs you to make the one
that everyone else is dependingon, like everyone else needs you
to show up, needs you to makethe money, needs you to do the
things for them to keep gettingto do and live the life that
they want to.
But the flip side of that isthat that's what we literally
signed up for 10 years ago.
I said you know what?
I've lived my entire life inpoverty and part of that is
(04:03):
because my parents passed thatoff to me.
And now I'm continuing in thatcycle and if I don't change
something, I'm going to pass thecycle off to my kids.
And I had to realize basicallythis was the realization I came
to is I either face my demons orI leave them for my kids to
face.
And while we all have lots ofdemons, for me personally the
(04:26):
one that really stood out to methe most was this money thing.
Not because money is everything, but because I was sick and
tired of telling my kids no, notbecause I was trying to teach
them a lesson of discipline orgratefulness or whatever, but
because I just didn't have anyother option.
And I finally said Josh, youknow you are going to figure
(04:49):
this out.
Whoever you got to learn from, whatever action you got to take,
whatever you got to do, we aregoing to fight this fight and we
are going to win, so that theydon't have to lose and that, my
friends, that's why we do whatwe do.
Do we get frustrated?
Sure, do we have failures, absolutely, or there's sometimes
(05:11):
things that we thought weregoing to work that don't end up
working, absolutely a milliontimes.
But at the end of the day, wehave got to remember.
We, in a way, asked for theseproblems, we asked for these
challenges because the flip sidewould be continuing to stay
stuck with what you used to have.
(05:31):
So we have to choose.
Do I want the ease and comfortof staying the same which comes
with the consequences, by theway, of staying the same or do I
want the challenge and thebattles that, yeah, on a
day-to-day basis can bechallenging, can be tough, but
come with better rewards?
(05:52):
Do you want to be stuck whereyou were so that you don't have
to be challenged, or do you wantto invite and embrace the
challenge so that you can live anew and different life?
And I'll just be honest, bothof those options can suck.
Sticking with what you'vealways had, the rewards suck.
(06:14):
The day-to-day is a little biteasier, but the rewards suck
right.
Taking the entrepreneur journeythe rewards can be incredible,
but the process can sometimessuck, and that's why it's so
important to remember why you'redoing this.
In my trainings, I call thisunderstanding your life vision
and your life mission andbringing the two together.
Your life vision is what youwant for you and your family.
(06:36):
Your life mission is how youwant to impact and empower
everyone else in the world, andwhen those two things come
together, it gives us a reasonand a purpose within the
challenge.
Does it make everything easy?
Absolutely not, but it gives usa purpose and a reason.
And when there's no purpose andwhen there's no reason, I would
(06:57):
argue that you'd be better offto have a purpose and a reason
for the rest of your life andnever actually get the rewards
you were hoping for than to justlive every day with no hope,
with no purpose and not havingto deal with the struggles or
battles of growth but also neverbeing fulfilled.
(07:17):
If I have to choose and thereality is in my 20s guys I
played music for like, not moneyit's just because it fulfilled
me and it fulfilled the lifemission that I had right.
But this business has allowedme to also have a life vision.
It means I can actually dobetter things for my family and
the people that I love, and whenwe bring those two things
(07:37):
together, we become unstoppable, because we're living a life on
purpose, and that is somethingthat very few people can say
about their lives.
So I want to challenge you, butI also want to encourage you
today.
Stop resisting the challengeand embrace it.
I also want to encourage youtoday Stop resisting the
challenge and embrace it.
Stop running away from thechallenge and instead invite it.
Stop looking for the easiestway and just be convinced that
(08:02):
you're on the way, and thenyou're going to learn what you
got to learn and do what you gotto do.
One of my favorite affirmationsthat I say all the time is I'm
in the right place at the righttime, connecting with the right
people and learning the nextright lesson.
I am moving forward.
I'm taking that next step.
All right, thank you so muchfor hanging with me today.
(08:22):
I hope this encouraged you.
I hope it challenged you.
I hope, if nothing else, itjust made you feel better about
the fact that it is going to bea challenge and it might look
like everyone is just strollingalong and everything is coming
easy to them, but the reality is.
Anyone who is leading people isfacing challenges every day.
Anyone who is alive is facingchallenges every single day.
(08:44):
But when we face the rightchallenges, we get to earn
bigger rewards.
I love you so much, I believein you so much.
