Speaker 1 (00:00):
Hi, my name is Josh and I'm your push coach.
I'm a failed rockstar turnedseven figure life coach.
I've trained over 40,000coaches and entrepreneurs since
I got started back in 2014.
I currently run my own lifecoach certification for those
who want to learn the powerfultools of transforming lives
using the psychology of truecoaching.

(00:20):
On this show, we're going toexplore business from a
different perspective.
I combine high energy withpsychology to teach you business
in a totally different way.
If you're tired of being toldto just show up and do the work,
or just believe more or justtrust the compound effect, this
podcast will take you on a deepdive to help you understand what

(00:43):
is actually holding you andyour clients back from doing the
work.
Once you understand thepsychology of performance, we
can build powerful messagingthat will attract the right
people who finally show up anddo the work.
If you're ready to be apowerful leader and build your
legacy, let's dive in.

(01:04):
Hello, what's up my beautifulpeople?
How in the world are you?
My name is Josh, I'm your pushcoach and I'm so freaking pumped
to be here chatting with youtoday.
Whatever day you may belistening to this, whatever time
.
That's the weird thing aboutpodcasts.
I'm talking to you in thepresent, as if we are both in
the same present and we are not.

(01:25):
You are listening to this on aTuesday, wednesday, thursday,
friday, saturday.
I don't know when the heckyou're listening to this, but
I'm so freaking glad that I getto speak into your life today,
this week, as I'm recording thislive, I'm so pumped because we
have a ton of our life coachescoming into town for our life
coach round eight graduationretreat.

(01:48):
So this is our eighth roundcoming to a conclusion.
We will be starting round ninein January.
If you're someone interested ingetting certified as a life and
performance coach, here's why Iget so pumped about these
retreats, because for almost 11years I've been building a
virtual business and I am reallyfreaking big on personal

(02:11):
connection.
That's one of my core values isconnection, and so these
retreats are just this reallyamazing time that all of these
people come in from around thecountry really around the world
and we get to spend some timetogether.
We pick different cities aroundthe country, really around the
world, and we get to spend sometime together.
We pick different cities aroundthe country each time.
This time I've got everyoneactually coming right here to my
house in Tulsa, oklahoma.

(02:31):
I'm really, really, reallypumped for that.
We got cleaners coming tomorrowto knock some things out for us
so that we can save some timeand energy and aren't spending
our whole week trying to cleanalthough we're spending several
hours doing that but somecleaners coming to finish off
the job and I just cannot waitto hang with everybody.
We're going to have a welcomeparty here at my house on

(02:52):
Thursday night and then we willhave workshops, basically nine
o'clock in the morning till twoto three in the afternoon,
friday and Saturday, and theneach evening we go out and goof
off together.
So Friday I think it's supposedto rain we're going to go to a
brewery, take a bunch of boardgames with us, hang out, drink
some beer we have some peopledrinking water, that's fine too

(03:14):
and play board games.
And then Saturday we're goingto do something outside and
active.
We have a 300 acre private parkhere in Tulsa called the
Gathering Place.
It was actually voted numberone city park in all of the
United States, I believe, by USAToday just a couple of months
ago, and I'm going to takeeverybody there on Saturday.
We're just going to go outexplore.

(03:34):
They've got just like thecraziest, craziest jungle gyms I
guess that's what they'recalled in the world these big,
huge jungle gyms that look likegiant cranes and like different
animals.
There's this huge pirate shipthat goes like seven stories in
the air with like a bridge.
There's a huge swing park withall kinds of just creative types

(03:54):
of swing.
There's this park called SlideHill and basically what they did
was they took one of the hillsin the park and just made it
like this drop in, so likethere's.
So at the top of the hill thereare slides, just kind of almost
like in a circular area aroundthis hill that goes down, and
all of the slides go down intothis same little area where

(04:17):
parents can like hang out andwatch and stuff.
Anyways, I'm so pumped for it,super freaking, excited, and I
kind of wanted to chat a littlebit today about my life coach
certification, because we haveso many people that are
interested but also don't knowwhat the hell it is.
One of the number one thingsthat we hear from people is like
I don't want to be a life coach, so why would I need a

(04:38):
certification?
Well, here's the thing the lifecoach certification isn't for
people who want to be lifecoaches, even though it all
obviously serves for that.
It's for anyone in the worldthat wants to get the
foundational knowledge they needto be successful as a human
being.
Here's what I mean by this.

(05:00):
I grew up my entire life justkind of being taught that I have
a purpose, that I have allthese good things, I have all
these wonderful and amazingthings in me and I just kind of
have to like go for it.
You just have to get out thereand just kind of like believe
and guys, it doesn't work verywell.
It doesn't work very well whenwe as humans are programmed by

(05:21):
society with so much negativityand so many limits.
And one of the reasons that, like some of you know my story
like I'd quit like fourdifferent businesses in my 20s
because I couldn't get a grip onmyself enough to get out of my
own way to take those stepsforward and so learning the

(05:44):
psychology behind what truecoaching really is helped me to
understand how my brain works, how my feelings work, that the
behaviors that I have are notjust.
You know, so many people arelike you know you just got to be
more disciplined.
Well, it's not quite that easy, because the reality is we have

(06:05):
limiting beliefs that createfeelings that lead to actions.
So if you don't know how todeal with the deep rooted
beliefs that are creating thesefeelings this is one of my
favorite quotes is that untilyou make the unconscious
conscious, it will rule yourlife and you will call it fate.
Until you make the unconsciousconscious, it will rule your
life and you will call it fate.

(06:25):
Until you make the unconsciousconscious, it will rule your
life and you will call it fate.
And that is a quote by CarlJung, and the power of this is
that we are all walking around.
90% of the decisions we make inlife are unconscious, not
conscious, and then we findourselves three years down the

(06:46):
road still struggling withsomething.
We're like what is wrong withme?
Well, it's not that there'snecessarily something wrong with
you, it's just that you wereliving unconsciously, creating a
cycle that is going on over andover.
And this is why thecertification is so important to
me.
It changed my life forever.

(07:06):
And then I felt like I did likewhat?
Seven years of businesstraining, of helping other
people in business before I waslike you know what I need to
give back?
The greatest gift that was evergiven to me, which is this life
coach stuff, because thereality is there are so many
people I've tried to train incourses that are kind of like

(07:27):
Josh in his 20s they can't getout of their way enough to
actually take the action on thethings that I'm teaching them.
And finally, I was smart enoughto say, josh, if this was the
foundational piece you needed tobuild a house on, it might be
the foundational piece that someother people need too.
Now the other thing is maybeyou're I don't know more
disciplined than me, have morewillpower than me, and you have

(07:50):
been able to just push your waythrough to success, but you're
struggling to help others andyou keep telling them what to do
and giving them all these toolsand giving them all these
resources and nothing is working.
Nothing is helping them.
That's why you need to know howto life coach people, so that
you're not just throwing a bunchof things at people and you can

(08:12):
finally dig deeper with them.
Okay, so the certification thatI run is way different than a
course, because most courses areteaching like one specific
skill that you need for business.
And there's nothing wrong withcourses Courses can be wonderful
and great, but we talk to somany people that are like I've

(08:32):
signed up for so many coursesand I've never finished any of
them.
And our life coachcertification has a 99%
graduation rate.
99% of people not just finishthe course, because it's not
really a course, it's a full-onprogram.
They actually end up gettingcertified.

(08:53):
And I will tell you that nineout of 10 people that come into
our program are saying thingslike I've done a million
programs and never finishedanything.
And then they jump into thisand because of the community and
the live coaching program, people never want to miss a call
.
Like there is such a differencebetween getting on a call where

(09:15):
someone talks at you for anhour versus getting on a call
where you're taught some skillsand then you go into breakout
rooms and literally practicethem on each other.
It's such a powerful experiencethat no one wants to miss any
of the calls.
And here's why it's differentthan some people are like well,
I've taken a mindset course.
Here's why it's different thansome people that have taken a
mindset course.
Here's why it's different.
Most mindset courses areliterally just pumping you full

(09:39):
of a bunch of positivity and theproblem with that the way I
like to explain it is if youhave a garden and you want to
grow things in your garden.
If there are pre-existing weeds, nothing in the world that you
plant in your garden, if thereare pre-existing weeds, nothing
in the world that you plant inthat garden is going to matter,

(09:59):
because the weeds will alwayschoke it out, and that's how our
subconscious mind is.
Most of us have weeds.
I mean, that's just what it is.
We were raised in a world witha lot of limits and a lot of
fear, and those limits and thosefear got programmed into our
brain, and those limits andthose fear got programmed into
our brain, and if you don't knowhow to actually get down to the
bottom and the root of thosethings, you're just throwing a

(10:20):
bunch of fertilizer on a gardenthat's full of weeds, and that's
not going to work very well.
So even if it's a great courselike you know 30 different ways
to go viral on Instagram or howto rebrand yourself Even if it's
a really good course taught bya really good person if you
still have weeds in your garden,it's not going to help you, and

(10:40):
so it's so important that youfigure this out Now.
I do know of a few mindsetcourses and even a few life
coach certifications that aregood at getting down to the root
of the issue for the sake ofawareness but then never move
beyond that.
We've had so many people we'vetalked to that went through one
specific mindset course that Idon't want to say out loud
because I think the person isgreat and I think the course is

(11:03):
great, but the reality is thesepeople come to us like, oh, I
know what my problem is.
I've done some coaching andthis is my problem and we're
going okay, but that was a yearago, so why is that still a
problem?
And it's because this mindsetcourse, or even maybe a
certification, taught them todig deep enough to find the weed

(11:23):
, but didn't teach them what todo to actually uproot the weed
and then take forward motion.
And this is the part, in myopinion, that like sometimes
scares away top leaders becausethey're like I don't want to
become a therapist, and I thinkyou can probably tell from my

(11:44):
energy and my kind of like inyour face no BS approach.
I don't want to be a therapisteither.
My wife is a therapist andshe's amazing at it, but me and
her are wired so muchdifferently.
The point of life coaching isnot to sit in the weeds with
someone for seven hours whilethey cry about it.
The point is to help them findthe weed, uproot the weed and

(12:07):
then start to plan out what itlooks like to actually start
growing the dish they want togrow.
In other words, this is wherekind of like life coaching meets
performance coaching and we mixthe two together, because the
last thing in the world we wantto do is help someone get down
to the root of something andthen just leave them hanging
there with awareness.
Awareness is the start ofgrowth, not the finish line, and

(12:30):
so in a true coaching settingthat's performance driven, we
would, yes, absolutely get downto the root, but then we would
create a course of action andaccountability to get people
moving forward to the place theywant to go.
And that, guys, that's why eventop leaders are starting to
jump into this, because they'rerealizing.

(12:51):
In fact, for my six figureinner circle that I run, it's
part of the package is you doweekly leadership calls with
Josh and you go through thecertification.
And I just finally was likelisten, top leaders, sometimes
for whatever reason.
Again, I think it's likethey're like I don't want to be
a life coach and I don't want tobe anyone's therapist and
they're finally starting tounderstand.

(13:13):
If I really want to help peoplechange their life forever, I
need to know how to dig deeperwith them.
And again, that doesn't meanyou're doing 75 one-on-one calls
with people.
For those of you that know myleadership systems, that I've
taught I talk a lot about thestadium analogy and how, when
we're building a team, sometimeswe forget that just because

(13:37):
someone signs up does not meanthat they are one of the players
.
In reality, what we're reallydoing is we're building a
stadium and in the stadium wehave some players, but we have a
lot of fans, and the last thingyou want to do is be life
coaching a fan.
Okay, like the head coach ofthe football team is not taking

(13:58):
phone calls from fans on Tuesdayafternoon because they're
struggling, but what he is doingis making sure that all of the
players on the team are gettingwhat they need to keep moving
forward.
And I think what people don'tunderstand is like you can't

(14:19):
just get a group of peopletogether that say they have
goals and ambition and just makethem do a bunch of things and
expect that they will somehowmagically just fall into
alignment with all the actionswhen they have all of these
beliefs that are holding themback, when they have all of
these beliefs that are holdingthem back.
And the reality is, guys, evensix and seven figure earners
hire me because they're dealingwith belief issues.

(14:39):
Now, they're different beliefissues than someone who's trying
to make their first 10,000 or50,000 or 100,000, but that's
still belief issues.
And, of course, strategy is sofreaking important.
I'm so big on strategy.
F leadership book is prettymuch 90% strategy but where
strategy fails is when itdoesn't also address the beliefs

(15:03):
that are holding people backfrom taking action on the
strategy.
And so that's why if you'resomeone who's like a top leader
and you're like I just want togive people a shit to do and get
them to go, do it, awesome.
But you could get a whole lotmore out of your time and energy
if you also knew how to addressthe beliefs.
When you know how to addressthe beliefs and the strategy,

(15:25):
that's when you become afreaking badass, because you can
go into any room and helpanybody anywhere, anytime, and
that is why I'm so passionateabout this.
My friends, I was fortunateenough to learn the psychology
side of things through lifecoaching, then the business side
, and I've always said that thatwas the biggest cheat code in

(15:45):
the world, because most peopleare trying to learn business
first, but they're learningbusiness through the lens of all
of their limiting beliefs, andso a lot of times I have to help
people to unlearn some thingsto then it's almost like we got
to take one step back to then beable to move forward.
When you finally master thisspecific thing, I'm telling you

(16:10):
right now you can run further, faster.
It's just like my shoulderinjury.
I heavier weights, but myshoulder can't handle it.
Yet I go to the chiropractorlast week.
I tell him I'm like dude, likeI don't know what's going on,

(16:37):
but it's just not getting ahundred percent, like something
is still holding it back, and soyou know he had me do a couple
of things.
He's like okay, here's theexact exercise you need to do to
strengthen the part of yourshoulder that's holding you back
, to strengthen the part of yourshoulder that's holding you
back.
That was Thursday.
As I'm recording this, it'sMonday.
Okay, I went home.
First of all.
I did those exercises rightthere on the spot.
I'm someone who's like give methe action I want to take it as

(17:00):
soon as humanly possible.
Let's get this process started.
Did those exercises againThursday night and I've
basically been doing them oncein the morning, once in the
evening.
It and I've basically beendoing them once in the morning,
once in the evening.
It has been Friday, saturday,Sunday, monday.
It's been four days.
Today I went to the gym and Iwas able to lift like 20% more
than what I was able to do lastweek.

(17:20):
Still wasn't 100%, but my God,it was pretty freaking close and
I'm just like damn, I just gotto keep doing these specific
exercises and they're reallyannoying.
I really don't like them.
But it's what's getting me backto a hundred percent.
Your business is the same way.
So many people have thestrategy.

(17:43):
They're like I know I need togo do this, but then some type
of an injury, if you will, inyour belief system is keeping
you from being able to give yourall, and until we can fix that,
you're going to constantly befeeling like you're only able to
give 60 or 70 percent or maybeeven less, depending on how bad

(18:05):
your injury is.
And so when we finally addressthe subconscious beliefs that
are truly holding us back, it islike we are fixing an injury
and we are finally at 100%strength and ready to sprint
forward.
And that's all I want for you,friend.
I want you to be able to sprintforward in your business, in

(18:30):
your life, in your health and inyour relationships, and that's
the other really cool thingabout this is it's not just for
business.
Your beliefs are literally thething that is holding back all
of the areas of your life, whether it's your health, your
relationships.

(18:50):
So people that go through ourcertification they're like holy
shit, I feel a hundred timesmore confident about me, and
that goes for my business and myhealth and my relationships.
I'm literally more confident inme.
That is something we callself-confidence, where you don't

(19:11):
need to have some type ofexperience, you don't need to
have some type of a win on yourboard to believe you can do it.
Most people are like well, whenI get this, when I get to this
point, then I'll believe, when Iget to this point, then I can
do this.
When you develop belief finallyin self, because you ripped all
the freaking weeds out of thegarden and you are feeling 100%

(19:33):
as your true and most authenticself, that's when you are ready
to freaking go.
Or, as I like to say and Iapologize if you've got kids in
the car I wake up every day andI message the team and I'm like
let's go fuck some shit up.
And that isn't me saying likelet's mess things up, no, it's
like let's go get some thingsdone.

(19:54):
Because we are operating from aplace of 100% confidence and
certainty and if you findyourself questioning yourself,
questioning your systems, questioning your methods, the
reality is, whatever it isyou're questioning somewhere
underneath that you are actuallyquestioning yourself,

(20:14):
questioning your leadership, questioning your potential, and
I want to help you, so freakingbad.
So if you're interested at all, okay, we don't even start until
January you can join the waitlist at joshcoatscom.
So if you go to joshcoatscom, scroll down to the bottom.
You'll see there wait list atjoshcoatscom.
So if you go to joshcoatscom, scroll down to the bottom,
you'll see there's two ways towork with Josh.
One is the six-figure innercircle that's for people that

(20:35):
are six figures and above, andthen one is the life coach
certification.
If you join the wait list forthe certification, we'll go
ahead and hook you up with atotally free call with one of my
master life coaches.
These are people that aredouble certified and the point
of this is.
So many people want to sellwhat's behind the curtain some
big fricking mystery and I wantto pull back the curtain and let

(20:57):
you experience what's there anddecide for yourself if it's
right for you and if it's not,no worries at all.
But I'm so sick of thismentality of super successful
entrepreneurs being like it's amystery but it's the thing that
made me successful.
I'm so sick of it.
I think that's why people havesigned up for so many courses

(21:19):
that they didn't finish isbecause they got convinced into
doing this.
That was never in alignment inthe first place, and I just want
to let you experience this foryourself, totally and completely
free, so that you can either goholy shit, that's a game
changer, I want to learn more ofthat or you can go eh, not
impressed, and then cool, wedidn't waste your time, you

(21:40):
didn't waste our time.
Everybody's good, everybody'shappy.
All right, I want to help youfind the most aligned thing.
