Speaker 1 (00:00):
Hi, my name is Josh and I'm your push coach.
I'm a failed rockstar turnedseven figure life coach.
I've trained over 40,000coaches and entrepreneurs since
I got started back in 2014.
I currently run my own lifecoach certification for those
who want to learn the powerfultools of transforming lives
using the psychology of truecoaching.

(00:20):
On this show, we're going toexplore business from a
different perspective.
I combine high energy withpsychology to teach you business
in a totally different way.
If you're tired of being toldto just show up and do the work,
or just believe more or justtrust the compound effect, this
podcast will take you on a deepdive to help you understand what

(00:43):
is actually holding you andyour clients back from doing the
work.
Once you understand thepsychology of performance, we
can build powerful messagingthat will attract the right
people who finally show up anddo the work.
If you're ready to be apowerful leader and build your
legacy, let's dive in.
Hey, what's up?

(01:05):
My friends?
My name is Josh, I am your pushcoach and you might be noticing
my audio quality is a littlebit different for this episode.
So this last weekend we hadthis absolutely amazing retreat
for our life coaches.
Every single round we do,basically an in-person

(01:26):
graduation slash two daysretreat Such a powerful
experience.
We had such an amazing time.
But because of that, monday wasa little bit of a recovery day
for me and I had a lot of callsthis week and I just have not
had a chance to actually go sitin the studio for 30 minutes to
crank out a podcast.
So here I am doing it in my carwith my AirPods on, via a voice

(01:50):
memo to my producer and I'mjust really, really, really
hoping this is something Kurtcan use.
If not, I guess you're notlistening.
But guys, my dude Kurt, he'spretty freaking good.
I mean, I've sent him where I'mlike walking around in the wind
before and he cleaned it up.
So probably doesn't sound asgood as normal episodes, but
hopefully he cleaned it upenough that it's at least able

(02:12):
to listen to and enjoy.
Because I want to share with yousomething.
I was actually speaking onsomeone else's podcast a few
days ago and she asked me whatis the one thing you really wish
you could have or would havelearned at the beginning of your
business?
And this is a really trickyquestion for me, because I feel

(02:33):
like every other entrepreneur inthe world would have like a
very exact, specific example ofone or two things that they wish
they would have learned.
And what's really weird for me,friends, I always tell my
clients I'm a little bit spoiledin the sense that most people
had to.
Most people tried to learnbusiness first and then,

(02:57):
somewhere along the way, realized they needed to figure
out this mindset stuff.
And, if I'm being honest, evenwhen they do learn that mindset
stuff, the only mindset stuffthey really learn is go read
books, go listen to podcasts, goget a journal and that's about
it.
And I feel so spoiled in thesense that I actually started

(03:20):
off my journey learning not onlymindset, but learning the
psychology behind the mindsetand how it literally is
affecting everything in ourlives.
In fact, one of the very firstlessons I learned in life
coaching was that our beliefsdrive our behaviors.
Most people think I need to fixmy behaviors, I need to fix my

(03:41):
habits, I need to fix myroutines and while there's some
truth to that, you definitelydon't want to have bad habits.
You don't want to fix mybehaviors.
I need to fix my habits, I needto fix my routines and, while
there's some truth to that, youdefinitely don't want to have
bad habits.
You don't want to have badbehaviors, but at the end of the
day, all of our behaviors arebeing dictated by the beliefs we
already have, and beliefs arenot something that you can just
change because you read a goodbook.

(04:02):
Now don't get me wrong.
You can get some tips, you canget some nuggets, you can build
up some positive things fromlistening to books, listening to
podcasts, but, at the end ofthe day, one of the reasons I'm
so passionate about true lifecoaching is because in true life
coaching, we dig down into yourlayers to find out like what is

(04:22):
the specific story, slash, belief, slash trigger in your
brain that's holding you back.
And so, while success obviouslyleaves clues, I would never
argue with that.
For me personally, I've learneda ton of sales and marketing
from books and podcasts like aton, and I've definitely got

(04:44):
some, you know, good mindsetstuff from books.
But if I would not have knownhow to dig in and find the
specific things that wereparalyzing me with fear, I would
have never been able to build abusiness, because that's what
caused me to quit four differentbusinesses in my 20s.

(05:05):
That's what caused me toconstantly start something up,
get excited, be like, oh my God,this is going to be the thing.
And then, three or four weekslater, run into all of my
freaking fears, run into all ofmy freaking fears, run into all
of my freaking demons, not knowhow to handle it, think there
was something wrong with me andthen pull away.
And so it's just thisinteresting thing where I feel

(05:26):
like I'm the guy out here tryingto help a bunch of people with
their businesses and I do lovetalking sales and marketing
strategies, absolutely love it.
But at the end of the day, ifyou're someone who doesn't know
how to address your deep, limiting beliefs, you will get
stuck somewhere along the way.

(05:46):
Some people get stuck at thebeginning, but, guys, I run a
six-figure inner circle full ofpeople who make six figures, and
every single one-on-one sessionI have with one of them because
that's part of the program isthey get one-on-ones with me.
Every single one-on-one theybring up a limiting belief that
has them stuck at the placethey're currently at.

(06:07):
So limiting beliefs aren't justsomething that just newbies
struggle with.
They're not just something thatpeople who are at lower levels
struggle with.
They're not just something thatpeople who are like at lower
levels struggle with Like allthe way up.
Every single new level brings anew devil and if you don't know
how to address those things, even if you were able to push
past the last couple of demons, doesn't mean you can't get stuck

(06:30):
on the next one.
And that's what I find a lot ofwith top leaders is that the
first three or four levels ofdevils, for whatever reason,
don't really phase them.
They're able to push throughthose things, but then they find
themselves running into thisnew devil at this new level and
they just literally don't knowhow to shake it.
I hear this a lot.
I created a ton of momentumduring the pandemic when the

(06:55):
economy was just thriving andeveryone was stuck at home just
buying things left and right.
And then after that thingssettled down and fell off a
little bit and I've just beenstuck and I don't know how to
get back and I can't figure outhow to get back, and then that
turns into a lot ofself-judgment, turns into a lot
of self-shame, and then thatturns into a lot of self-shame,

(07:20):
and then that turns into anongoing cycle of taking action
from a place of fear andscarcity instead of taking
action from a place of faith andabundance, and there's a really
big, freaking differencebetween the person who shows up
day to day because they justlike are trying to figure it out
, just throwing a bunch of shitat the wall and praying to God
something sticks, versus theperson that is showing up with
clarity and confidence andtaking their next step forward.

(07:42):
And so I guess I say all ofthis to say that everybody's
always looking for that hackthat's going to get me to that
next level, and again, I havesales and marketing strategies
that absolutely help people getto their next level.
But I also want you to rememberif you don't deal with the

(08:04):
internal, you're just going tobe basically reaching and
grabbing for random, not knowingif it's actually the right
thing for you, continuing toquestion yourself, continuing to
wonder if you have what ittakes, whether it's I don't know
if I have what it takes tobuild a business, or it's I've
already built six figures.
I don't know if I really havewhat it takes to get to seven or
if it's I've built to sevenfigures and I don't really know
if I have what it takes to evenduplicate this to others.

(08:27):
Wherever you're stuck, myfriends, if you don't deal with
the internal issues, I alwayssay it like this, it's like
putting band-aids on brokenbones and wondering why nothing
is getting fixed.
You at some point have to learnthe psychology of what holds

(08:47):
you back.
But also, if you want to be apowerful leader, you need to
know how to help other peoplethat are getting stuck along the
way.
And if you don't know how tomake one of my favorite quotes
in the world, until you make theunconscious conscious, it will
rule your life and you will callit fate.
At the beginning, I had to do alot of it for myself, what we
call self-coaching.
To this day, I do a ton ofself-coaching, because the more
moving pieces your business has,the more hurdles you got to

(09:09):
jump over, the more things getin your way.
But also, as a high-performingleader, you better know how to
help other people who aren'tnaturally as driven and
motivated as you.
You need to know how to helpthem solve the deep-rooted
problems and not just how tokeep throwing strategies at
people that are alreadyoverwhelmed and feeling stuck.

(09:30):
So, anyways, I say all of thisbecause, first of all, everyone
needs to hear it Like you, justneed to hear it Like.
This is one of the greatestbusiness hacks is to know the
psychology behind true coaching.
But I want to invite you.
I've got two things going on.
One I've got a leadershipchallenge coming up in January
where I'll be teaching more onthis stuff.
I would love for you toregister.

(09:51):
It's a totally free event.
You can go to joshcoatscom I'llhave a spot on the homepage
where you can register for theevent or you can go to
joshcoatscom.
Slash leadership Made it thatsimple so I can remember it
myself joshcoatscom, slashleadership.
You can register for that event.
But I'd also love to invite youto jump on the wait list for our
next round of certification, because it's such a powerful

(10:14):
tool.
I call it the universalleadership tool.
It will change your lifeforever and when you jump on the
wait list, what you're going todo is you're going to get an
opportunity.
If you'd like to get a freecall with someone on my team to
actually get coached, okay, thisisn't a sales call, it's not.
Get on a call with someone frommy team so they can tell you
why you need Josh in their life.
It's literally a call where youare going to get coached so you

(10:37):
can see what it is and so thatwe can help you to identify
what's holding you back so youcan go to joshcoatscom.
Scroll down to the bottom.
It says there's two ways towork with me.
One is the inner circle.
If you qualify for that, youcan apply for that as well.
The other is the certificationand you can just jump on that
wait list.

(10:57):
You'll get a free call and thenyou'll also get notified first
about the next round, what thedeals are going to look like.
We always, always, always havereally special deals, really
special bonuses for people whojump on the wait list, so you
can go to joshcoatscom for that.
I really just want to encourageyou with this friend.
If you are feeling like I amjust stuck again whether that's

(11:20):
stuck at zero sales, whetherthat's stuck at 5,000 a month,
whether that's stuck at 50,000 amonth if you're just like I'm
just stuck and I just I can'tfigure out why, I can't figure
out what it is that's actuallyholding me back, I have news for
you, friend.
There's probably somethingunconscious, something you're
not even consciously aware of.
It's in your subconscious anduntil we make the unconscious

(11:40):
conscious, it will rule yourlife.
You will call it fate andthat's the really hard thing.
Is you're like why does thiskeep happening to me and, on
some level, somehow, the reasonit keeps happening to you is
because of your own thoughts andbeliefs about the situation,
and so until we fix that, you'rejust going to be stuck in a

(12:01):
continual cycle of wonderingwhat is wrong with you.
And nothing is actually wrongwith you.
You've just adopted some badbeliefs along the way and we
need to help you fix it Allright.
So I hope this has helped you.
I love you so much.
I believe in you so much.
I care about you so much.
I just want you to know that, man, you are freaking amazing.

(12:24):
You do have what it takes.
You were put here for a reason.
You, I promise, are not alone.
You are not the only one.
Feeling like something is astruggle.
Everyone else might look likethey have all their shit
together, but remember, socialmedia is everyone else's
highlight reel.
So show up, be yourself, do thework it takes.

(12:45):
I love you so much.
Never forget that everythingyou need is living on the inside
, all the resources you'll everneed, right under your nose.
Love you, friend.
Have a great day.
