Zu Gast: Severin Glaser
Severin Glaser ist Professor für Finanz- und Wirtschaftsstrafrecht am Institut für Strafrecht, Strafprozessrecht und Kriminologie. Auf dem breiten Feld der Wirtschaftskriminalität hat sich der Jurist auf den Themenbereich Geldwäsche spezialisiert. In „Zeit für Wissenschaft“ gibt er Einblicke in sein im wahrsten Sinne des Wortes weltumspannendes Forschungsthema. Das Gespräch wurde im Oktober 2020 aufgezeichnet.
Seit März 2020 ist Prof. Severin Glaser an der Universität Innsbruck tätig. Neben Geldwäsche spielen auch Korruption, Marktmissbrauch und Kartellstrafrecht eine wichtige Rolle in seiner wissenschaftlichen Arbeit. Im Gespräch erfahren wir außerdem mehr über das Spannungsfeld zwischen nationalem und EU-Recht und gehen der Frage nach, wo eventuell „ultra vires“ gehandelt wird.
