Alles geht? Eine kulturwissenschaftliche Perspektive auf das Zu-Fuß-Gehen nimmt Konrad Kuhn vom Institut für Geschichtswissenschaften und Europäische Ethnologie ein. Das mag zunächst etwas ungewöhnlich klingen, ist es aber ganz und gar nicht, wie der Ethnologe ausführlich erzählt: Der Blick auf alltägliche Praktiken kann neue Perspektiven auf gesellschaftliche Strukturen eröffnen. Wer geht wann und warum? Seit wann ist Gehen eine Freizeitaktivität? Und wer kann sich das leisten?
Anlass für das Gespräch ist eine aktuelle Publikation, in der Konrad Kuhn mit Studierenden der Europäischen Ethnologie verschiedene Aspekte dieser alltäglichen Praktik analysiert hat. In „Bricolage 12: Gehen – kulturwissenschaftliche Erkundungen zu alltäglichen Praktiken“ wird Gehen als eine komplexe und kulturhistorisch bedeutsame Praxis untersucht.
