Radu Paraschivescu este unul dintre cei mai apreciați scriitori și traducători români contemporani. Publică la Editura Humanitas numeroase romane, colecții de povestiri și eseuri despre viața în România, printre care Ghidul nesimţitului (2006), Fluturele negru (2010), Două mături stau de vorbă (2018), Recviem vesel pentru tata (2020) sau, cele mai recente, Noi suntem români (nimeni nu-i perfect) (2022) și Garoafe la bordel (2023).
Radu Parachivescu scrie cu poftă și spune că e esențial să nu ne pierdem umanitatea și simțul umorului. Ne-a povestit despre importanța promovării și condiția obligatorie pentru cineva care vrea să învețe meșteșugul scrisului.
