»Neuromancer«, »Blade Runner«, »Matrix« – Ende 2020 hat Cyberpunk mit dem Erscheinen des gleichnamigen Computerspiels eine wirkmächtige Neuauflage erlebt. Als kulturelles Phänomen steht Cyberpunk für ästhetisierten Retrofuturismus, postapokalyptische Gesellschaftsvisionen und anthropologische Entgrenzungen. Im Zentrum des Symposiums steht die Frage, warum dieses Phänomen erneut und inmitten einer globalen Pandemie einen Nerv getroffen hat.
